'''Jack learns more about Optimus Prime's history on Cybertron while the Autobots continue their battle at the Earth's core.'''

==Synopsis==

As he leads the [[Autobot]]s further toward [[Earth]]'s core, [[Megatron (Prime)|Megatron]] is again seized by a vision of the planet exploding. He notes how [[Unicron]]'s strength grows ever greater and continues on. [[Arcee (Prime)|Arcee]] and [[Optimus Prime (Prime)|Optimus Prime]] both voice their mistrust of the [[Decepticon]] leader, though they have no choice but to follow him. Unbeknownst to them, several strange, mechanical creatures observe the intruders into their dark domain.

Back at [[Autobot Outpost Omega One|base]], [[Ratchet (Prime)|Ratchet]] and the [[human]]s watch a report that outlines how the planet's chaotic weather continues to spiral out of control. Despite [[June Darby|June]]'s efforts to lighten the mood, [[William Fowler|Fowler]] insists that something must be done—even if it means contacting his associates at the [[Pentagon]]. Fowler makes known his uneasiness about teaming up with Megatron, but Ratchet surprises the humans by explaining how such a situation has happened before. Ratchet relates how Optimus Prime and Megatron were once close friends, in the twilight hours of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]'s [[Golden Age]].

[[Image:OneShallRise3-corresponding.jpg|left|thumb|250px|''Once, I called you "Brother".''
''Once, I thought the chance to make you laugh''
''Was all I ever wanted...''
''And even now,''
''I wish that [[Primus|God]] had chose another.''
''Serving as your foe on His behalf''
''Is the last thing that I wanted...!'']]
''The great Autobot leader was once named Orion Pax, a simple clerk in the [[Iacon (polity)|Iacon]] Hall of Records. Learning of Cybertron's past, Orion grew concerned about the corruption affecting high places and the [[Caste system|state of inequity]] in society. He became inspired by the revolutionary words of Megatronus, a gladiator who took his name from [[The Fallen|one]] of the [[Thirteen|thirteen original Primes]]. Megatronus gained a loyal following through his radical and innovative actions, [[Soundwave (Prime)|Soundwave]] chief among their number. Over time, Megatronus became a mentor figure to Orion Pax and chose to shorten his name as he left the gladiatorial arena for the political one. Megatron appeared before the [[Autobot High Council|High Council]], voicing his ideas for shaping a new Cybertron by violent means, and demanded to be named the next [[Prime (rank)|Prime]]. Orion protested against Megatron's suggestions before the Council, moving their [[spark]]s and minds as he unknowingly revealed himself to be the one worthy of the title. Megatron severed his ties to Orion and the Council, taking his "Decepticon" followers to begin the [[Great War (Prime)|war]] that consumed Cybertron and vowing to claim the legendary [[Matrix of Leadership]] for himself. Hoping to reverse the damage that had poisoned the planet, Orion journeyed to Cybertron's [[Core]], where he found himself before the spark of [[Primus]], the creator of all [[Cybertronians]]. Primus sensed the purity of Orion's own spark and bestowed upon him the legendary Matrix, transforming him into Optimus Prime.''

In the present, [[Miko Nakadai|Miko]] and [[Jack Darby|Jack]] question Optimus's plan to give the Matrix to the Earth's core, asking what could possibly stop Megatron from attempting to claim it for himself now. Ratchet darkly replies that Megatron only intends to save the Earth so that he may conquer it at a later date.

As they near Unicron's spark, [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]] begins to feel the draining effects of the [[Dark Energon]]. [[Bumblebee (Prime)|Bumblebee]] and Arcee help him a short way across the catwalks, but Megatron soon comes to a halt ahead with the realization that Unicron is preparing to expel them. A huge number of Unicron's drones suddenly swarm into view, surrounding Megatron and the Autobots. They engage the drones in fierce battle, blasting and slashing through their attackers. Arcee is knocked to a lower level, not long before the Dark Energon clouds Bulkhead's vision. He stumbles from the catwalk but manages to grab hold of the edge, and is seized by Bumblebee before he can tumble to his death. Optimus and Megatron fight back-to-back, managing to hold their own against the drones in a spectacular display of effective—if uneasy—teamwork. Bumblebee struggles to hold onto Bulkhead, who insists that the scout lets him go. Optimus seizes Bulkhead just as Bumblebee loses his grip, and hauls him up to safety. As the group quickly becomes overwhelmed, Arcee hitches a ride on one of the drones to catch up with the others and beat a swift retreat with them.

[[Image:OneShallRise3-SoundwaveAirachnid.jpg|right|thumb|300px|Maybe Megatron should stop having seconds-in-command and just skip straight to thirds-in-command.]]
Aboard the [[Nemesis (Prime)|Nemesis]], [[Airachnid]] outlines the questionable nature of their leader's recent behavior. [[Knock Out (Prime)|Knock Out]] asks whether she is suggesting that they abandon Lord Megatron. Airachnid explains how Megatron's undetectable signal implies that he is either offline or at the mercy of Unicron—neither scenario being in the best interests of the Decepticons. She suggests an exodus from Earth, and receives no protests from the surrounding [[Vehicon (Prime)|Vehicons]]. However, her order to retreat to [[Regulon Four]] is denied by Soundwave, who silently challenges her authority. When he refuses her demand to step aside, she leaps to attack him. Soundwave easily blocks every one of her blows, before lifting her clean into the air. He hurls her back, deploying [[Laserbeak (Prime)|Laserbeak]] to stun Airachnid in a sudden sneak attack. Pinned under Soundwave's foot, much to Knock Out's amusement, Airachnid relinquishes command to the intelligence officer.

Back in the Autobot base, Ratchet notes he has lost the others' communication links and life signals, most likely caused by interference from the electromagnetic anomalies. Miko asks how they are supposed to know when the others are ready for pickup if contact is impossible, but Ratchet is prevented from responding by the sound of Jack tapping the [[GroundBridge]] key against a railing. Ratchet reveals that the object is actually the [[Key to Vector Sigma]]—one of Cybertron's most precious relics. Ratchet then realizes that Optimus entrusted the key to Jack because he did not plan on returning from the planet's core.

Megatron is gripped by yet another painful vision of Unicron whilst he and the Autobots are backed into an enclosed chamber by the attacking drones. Unicron orders him to destroy Optimus. Instead, Megatron saves the Autobot leader by blasting an oncoming drone. He then indicates a closed doorway nearby, stating that Unicron's spark lies just beyond. He explains that, to pass through, they must fool Unicron into believing that they pose no danger, and moves his Dark Energon-infused chest up to the door. It opens in response, and Optimus orders the others to remain outside and provide cover fire while he and Megatron advance.

The passageway beyond leads directly into Unicron's spark chamber, where Optimus prepares to expose the Matrix within his chest. Unicron's spark reacts, striking both invaders with its energy. Unicron again orders Megatron to kill Optimus, forcing him to unsheathe his blade and approach the weakened Prime. Megatron struggles against him, declaring himself to be under the command of no-one. His resistance provokes only an onslaught of pain and a furious reaction from the Chaos Bringer.

The volcano outside erupts violently, and the ground enclosing the Autobot base begins to quake. Ratchet tells the humans to take cover, and he moves to shield them from falling debris.

[[Image:OneShallRise3-unleash.jpg|left|thumb|300px|Care Bear Stare!]]
Unicron's spark adopts the appearance of a face as Megatron is seemingly freed from his control. Optimus calls upon the power of the Matrix of Leadership, but hesitates as Unicron possesses Megatron's body in a veil of purple flame and declares his own invincibility. Optimus cuts short Unicron's desire to pull the Earth into chaos, and he rises to his feet as he becomes surrounded by a brilliant blue light. Optimus fires the power of the Matrix from his chest directly into Unicron's spark, the resulting wave of energy knocking Megatron back off his feet. His energy drained, Optimus falls to his knees, and Unicron's spark emits a final wail of pain before vanishing into oblivion.

The drones outside suddenly fall from the air, lifeless. The volcano, along with all of the Earth's other natural phenomena, subside back to normality. Ratchet and the humans watch as the monitors flicker online, rejoicing as their team's life signals are all safely re-established. Aboard the Nemesis, however, Soundwave also detects the signature of the Decepticon leader.

[[Image:OneShallRise3-hug.jpg|right|thumb|300px|"You smell like my mom." "I smell like ''his'' mom!"]]
Megatron rights himself in Unicron's now-empty spark chamber, inspecting Optimus's steaming body for a moment before unsheathing his blade. Optimus gazes blearily up at the approaching Decepticon, then addresses him as "Megatronus" and asks where they are. Surprised, Megatron retracts his weapon and helps the Autobot to his feet. Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Arcee soon burst through the wall to assist, but Optimus does not recognise them. A GroundBridge suddenly opens nearby; Megatron claims that the Autobots are their sworn enemies and provides cover fire as Optimus heads for the vortex. Optimus blankly meets Bumblebee's devastated gaze for a split second before disappearing through the Bridge. Megatron follows, leaving the shocked Autobots alone in the empty chamber.

Ratchet GroundBridges the team back to base, but is anxious to see that Optimus is not with them. They explain that Optimus is still alive, but did not even know his own name. Ratchet realizes that surrendering the Matrix of Leadership caused their leader to lose not only the wisdom of the Primes, but his own memories as well.

Knock Out and the other Decepticons, minus Airachnid, welcome Megatron back aboard the Nemesis. Megatron steps aside to allow Optimus through, and [[Breakdown (Prime)|Breakdown]] automatically moves to attack. Megatron halts him, insisting that this is no way to treat a "long-lost comrade", and declares that Orion Pax is one of them.

==Notes==
===Animation and technical errors===
*All of the natural disasters around the world abruptly stop when Unicron is beaten. While it might make sense for the earthquakes to stop, tidal waves wouldn't just suddenly fall apart. Forward momentum doesn't just vanish. Similar problems occur with the tornadoes dissipating and the sky clearing.
*At the Earth's core, the Autobots should experience very little gravity, as the total mass of Earth would be reasonably equally distributed around them and therefore the pull of gravity would be cancelled out.
*Despite entering the tunnel to Unicron's spark chamber only a few seconds before Optimus, Megatron still manages a very hefty lead. By the time Optimus navigates the tunnel that leads into the spark chamber, Megatron is already inside, standing in front of Unicron's spark.
* After defeating Unicron, both Megatron and Optimus are knocked unconscious: Megatron on his back and Optimus on the ground facing away from the other. However, when we see them wake up later, Megatron is on his stomach and Optimus is facing him now.

===Continuity errors===
*Ratchet's statement that Megatron started the war after not being made Prime contradicts the history given in [[Darkness Rising, Part 1]], where Megatron is said to have split from Optimus ''during'' the war.
*Bulkhead is the only Autobot visibly affected by the Dark Energon.

===Continuity notes===
*The entire backstory given by Ratchet is an adaptation of the first half of ''[[Transformers: Exodus]]''. Plot elements were changed, such as Orion Pax becoming Optimus when he found the Matrix of Leadership, as opposed to when he was assigned the position by the Cybertron High Council.
* Optimus's blade is still broken after the episode "[[One Shall Fall]]".

===Transformers references===
*Optimus Prime was originally known as Orion Pax, much like [[Optimus Prime (G1)|his namesake]] in the episode "[[War Dawn]]."
*The [[Key to Vector Sigma]] first appeared in ''[[The Transformers (cartoon)|The Transformers]]'' episode "[[The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1]]" and later featured prominently in the first season of ''[[Beast Machines: Transformers (cartoon)|Beast Machines]]''.
*Optimus calls upon the Matrix to "[[Darkest hour|light our darkest hour]]."
*This is not [[The Ultimate Doom, Part 3|the first incidence]] in a ''Transformers'' cartoon of a tidal wave stopping all of a sudden.
*For once, Optimus is the one who gets to say he "still functions", rather than Megatron.
* When Unicron possesses Megatron, he is engulfed in flames similar to [[The Fallen|another well known herald]].

===Real-world references===
===Trivia===
*This episode aired in Singapore on [[October 4]], 2011, again preceding its American showing.
*Jack is clearly taking very good care of that Key Optimus gave him...by idly tapping it against a railing.
*This is the first time we've seen Soundwave "get his hands dirty". With how easily he trounces Airachnid, that's probably a good thing for the Autobots.
*According to the flashbacks, Megatron's optics are blue, fingers, eyebrows, and shoulders less pointy, his feet also being rather flat, until he was rejected by the Council and storms out angrily, obtaining the sharp teeth and red eyes.
*Fowler hugs June. Make of that what you will.
*Once more, the Thirteen Original Primes make an appearance, this time as statue busts in the walls of the High Council's chamber.
*Optimus has a Cybertronian form, with different kibble, in the flashbacks. [[Arcee (Prime)|Arcee]], [[Bumblebee (Prime)|Bumblebee]], [[Cliffjumper (Prime)|Cliffjumper]], [[Skyquake (Prime)|Skyquake]] and [[Wheeljack (Prime)|Wheeljack]] must be special or the other way round.
*When Ratchet's screen is scanning for the Autobots and Megatron the computer image is of Mount St. Hillary, which is the same mountain the Ark crashed into in the original G1 series.

==Notes==
===Animation and technical errors===

===Continuity errors===
*Ratchet's statement that Megatron started the war after not being made Prime contradicts the history given in [[Darkness Rising, Part 1]], where Megatron is said to have split from Optimus ''during'' the war.
*Bulkhead is the only Autobot '''visibly''' affected by the Dark Energon.

===Continuity notes===

===Transformers references===

===Real-world references===
===Trivia===
[[Arcee (Prime)|Arcee]], [[Bumblebee (Prime)|Bumblebee]], [[Cliffjumper (Prime)|Cliffjumper]], [[Skyquake (Prime)|Skyquake]] and [[Wheeljack (Prime)|Wheeljack]] must be special.
'''A prophecy predicts dark times ahead, which Megatron intends to see through.'''

==Synopsis==
[[Image:OneShallFall-MegatronKnockOut.jpg|left|thumb|300px|Miiiight not be the best time to examine your manicure, Knock Out.]]

[[Optimus Prime (Prime)|Optimus Prime]] recites a passage from the [[Covenant of Primus]], foretelling that a perpetual conflict will culminate when the forty-seven spheres align. Despite the other [[Autobot]]s' lack of faith, [[Ratchet (Prime)|Ratchet]] realizes that the "world forged of chaos" referred to in the prophecy is [[Earth]]—and that the alignment will occur in a matter of days.

Aboard the ''[[Nemesis (Prime)|Nemesis]]'', [[Megatron (Prime)|Megatron]] explains to [[Knock Out (Prime)|Knock Out]] that he sought the [[Dark Energon|blood]] of [[Unicron]] so that he could conquer worlds with [[Terrorcon (Prime)|undead armies]]. Knock Out assures him that more Dark Energon awaits amongst the stars, but advises him not to push himself, since he was in stasis. Megatron then claims that he is the "rising darkness" of which the prophecy speaks.

[[Jack Darby|Jack]], [[Raf Esquivel|Raf]], and [[Miko Nakadai|Miko]] find a picture of [[Bumblebee (Prime)|Bumblebee]] while searching a conspiracy website. Raf replaces the image with a dancing cat, which makes Ratchet laugh. Jack then invites Optimus to take a look, but is flatly denied. Ratchet then states that, before he became a [[Prime (rank)|Prime]], Optimus behaved quite similarly to Jack. [[William Fowler|Agent Fowler]] suddenly interrupts and reveals that the [[Decepticon]]s have been stealing components to build a second [[space bridge]]. Back aboard the ''Nemesis'', Knock Out and [[Soundwave (Prime)|Soundwave]] inform Megatron that the only item left on the list is an ample power source, which can be found in a heavily fortified human base. [[Airachnid]] could simply tunnel in, but Megatron rather angrily declares that the time for stealth is over, and he sends a massive squad of [[Vehicon (Prime)|Vehicons]] to retrieve it. Optimus warns Fowler to have his troops evacuate, for fear of human casualties.

[[Image:PrimeEp23-BumblebeeRaf.jpg|right|thumb|300px|Where is your BS&P now???]]

Optimus, [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]], and [[Arcee (Prime)|Arcee]] arrive to fend off the Vehicons, and all goes well until Megatron himself heads out toward the battlefield. En route, he spots Bumblebee, who was taking Raf racing. Megatron opens fire, frying Bumblebee's systems and knocking Raf out cold. Megatron arrives at the base just as the Autobots disable the last of his drones, and he taunts Optimus as Bumblebee arrives whilst carrying a wounded Raf. Bulkhead restrains the enraged scout before Optimus orders Arcee to take him and Raf back to base. Megatron then ascends onto the ''Nemesis'' with the power source. Unbeknownst to Megatron, Optimus and Bulkhead climb aboard the ''Nemesis''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s hull.

Back at [[Autobot Outpost Omega One]], Ratchet panics that his tools are wrong for human examination, and Jack suggests that they call in [[June Darby|his mother]]. Meanwhile, Megatron has another vision in which he sees a [[Unicron|sinister face]] and a volcano. He then orders Knock Out and Airachnid to complete the space bridge, as there is something he must attend to. June arrives at the Autobot base and quickly unnerves Ratchet with the knowledge that Raf will die unless she can stabilize him immediately. Bumblebee vents his frustration on a nearby wall, but Arcee manages to calm him...a little. Ratchet regrets having not bothered to learn human science and medicine, despite accepting the children into their lives. He then states that he has grown to need Rafael, just as Raf needs him.

Bulkhead and Optimus storm the ''Nemesis'', and Optimus claims to have had a change of heart: He orders Bulkhead back to base with the power source, declaring that there is something he must do. He then muses grimly that he has realized that Autobots and Decepticons will never co-exist peacefully, and he vows to destroy Megatron.

As the planetary alignment nears, Megatron arrives at the volcano site, and Optimus uses a Vehicon comm link to challenge him. Optimus soon joins him at the base of the volcano, and the two exchange brief banter before engaging each other in fierce battle.

[[Image:PrimeEp23-PrimeMegatron.jpg|left|thumb|300px|"Why throw away your life so recklessly?"
"I keep [[The many deaths of Optimus Prime|''trying'']] to, but Hasbro won't [[To sell toys|let me]] anymore!"]]

Meanwhile, Ratchet realizes that Raf has been infected with [[Dark Energon]] and theorizes that exposure to normal energon should cure him. He takes a sample from Bumblebee, placing Raf in a sealed chamber to test his theory as the others watch helplessly. Rafael soon opens his eyes, his pulse stabilizing.

Optimus appears to defeat Megatron and prepares to deal the final blow, but the Decepticon leader catches his sword with unusual strength as the volcano begins to erupt. Strange purple markings glow to life across his body, and he quickly overpowers Optimus. He realizes that the volcano is spewing forth Dark Energon, and he moves to kill Optimus, as he saw himself doing in a previous vision.

"I have been foolish not to see what history has proven over and over again...that Autobots and Decepticons will never mend their ways. If there can be no diplomatic solution to this perpetual conflict, then I must not allow more darkness to fall upon this or any planet. Megatron must be destroyed!"
:—It's about slaggin' time, '''Optimus Prime'''.

"Your defeat was foreseen here by the ancients. What was it they wrote? 'The weak shall perish'?"
"Do not believe everything you read."
:—'''Megatron''' and '''Optimus Prime''', unusually philosophical in the middle of a death match.

==Notes==
===Animation and technical errors===
* When the flying Vehicons arrive to help retrieve the power source from the military base, the Vehicon ground units which stole it in the first place vanish.
* As Megatron extends his blade when Optimus leaps at him, the sound effect is that of his cannon firing.
* When Optimus tries to strike the finishing blow, he's standing on Megatron's chest. Once Megatron catches the blade, Optimus is standing much further back.

===Continuity errors===
*Megatron's jet-mode cannons score a direct hit on Bumblebee, yet do no apparent damage other than briefly stopping him. When Arcee was hit in "[[Darkness Rising, Part 5]]", it nearly killed her. On a similar note, Bumblebee should have taken the brunt of the Dark Energon exposure, but only Raf shows any symptoms. Arcee was weakened by exposure to a few drops from [[Cliffjumper (Prime)|Cliffjumper]]'s animated corpse in "[[Darkness Rising, Part 2]]". However, Optimus tells Arcee to look after Raf AND Bumblebee; its likely that Bee's just being strong for his partner's sake.
*Bumblebee knows Raf is injured, so why does he drive nearly two miles (three clicks) to the battlefield instead of just calling for a [[GroundBridge]] immediately?
*Raf says he can't see without his glasses in "[[Shadowzone (episode)|Shadowzone]]", but his first person shot is perfectly clear. This is a common thing for TV and movies, but still...

===Continuity notes===
*Megatron refers to his feeling by saying "it's as if" he can hear Unicron's thoughts, which he gibbered about back in "[[Darkness Rising, Part 3]]".
*The story revolves around the idea that Dark Energon is out in space, another "Darkness Rising" plot point. Turns out that it's not as far out as the characters think...
*Agent Fowler's men at first thought it was [[MECH]] who stole the phase conductor until they found the security image of Soundwave.
*[[Starscream (Prime)|Starscream]] demonstrated that energon does not agree with human physiology in "[[Darkness Rising, Part 3]]" and "[[Darkness Rising, Part 4|Part 4]]", which Ratchet confirms here. Apparently, Dark Energon has similar effects, but the two types cancel each other out (at least in a human).
*Arcee tells Bumblebee that she knows what it's like to see a partner <strike>killed</strike> harmed, referring to [[Tailgate (Prime)|Tailgate]]'s death at Airachnid's claws in "[[Predatory]]". Her general speech seems to call back to the lesson she learned at the end of "[[Partners]]". Ironically, Bumblebee was the one who prevented Arcee from giving into her desire for vengeance in that episode.
*Ratchet extracts energon from Bumblebee with the same device that he used to inject himself with synthetic energon in [[Stronger, Faster|the previous episode]].

===Transformers references===
[[Image:Tfprime23 unicron.jpg|right|thumb|Hey look, it's Unicron! Wait, why does he have Cyclonus's helmet horns?]]
* The [[Covenant of Primus]] first appeared in the ''[[Beast Wars (cartoon)|Beast Wars]]'' episode "[[Nemesis Part 1]]".
* Megatron and Optimus punch each other in the style of the opening credits, only on opposite sides. This isn't [[Sick Mind|the first time]] the show has done this.
* Yeah, yeah, "[[The Transformers: The Movie|One shall stand, one shall fall]]." This is the third time in this series alone, following "[[Darkness Rising, Part 5]]" and "[[Sick Mind]]", and that's not even including the title of THIS episode.
* Ratchet mentions that he has known Optimus for longer than any of the other Earth-stationed Autobots, even before he was a Prime. Taking the character's appearance in ''[[Transformers: War for Cybertron (360/PS3/PC)|War for Cybertron]]'' into account, this would be true, as Ratchet was under the direct command of Optimus prior to, and at the start of the game's storyline. In comparison, the first cutscene of the Autobot campaign showed Bumblebee's first meeting with Optimus, and whilst Arcee was in the game, she never personally interacted with Optimus during the story. Bulkhead was mentioned as having joined Optimus during a later period of time.
* Megatron refers to Optimus as "the last of the Primes". He was also called this by the head of the [[Autobot High Council]] in ''War for Cybertron'', upon his ascension to the rank of Prime. It is also a term used to refer to his [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|live-action film]] counterpart.
*Megatron breaks Prime's sword in the same way as in "[[Darkness Rising, Part 5]]." Seriously, it's like they just reused the broken sword model or something. Except it got lodged in Prime's shoulder this time instead of flying off and sticking in the ground.

===Real-world references===

*The picture on the conspiracy website of a supposed alien looking through a window is a reference to the famed "Denver Alien" sighting where a man called Jeff Peckman claimed he filmed an extra-terrestrial outside of his home.

===Trivia===
* The episode was first broadcast on Canada's Teletoon channel. It later first aired in the United States on [[September 24]], [[2011]].
* At the beginning of the episode, as Megatron explains why he sought out the blood of Unicron, Knock Out totally checks out his "nails" in the background. How vain can you get?!
* Megatron laments that the only shard of Dark Energon he has is the one in his chest. It would seem that, despite his machinations being discovered, Starscream never gave Megatron's original shard back.
* Bulkhead states that he has never seen Optimus "laugh, cry or lose his cool". While it could just be an offhand expression, this inadvertently raises an interesting question as to whether Cybertronians actually have the ability to cry...[[Humanization#Crying|hmmmmmmmm]].
* Ratchet tells the kids that the title of Prime can only be earned, not inherited or born into. This is the inverse of what [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|a different Optimus]] told [[Megatron (Movie)|his archenemy]] in [[Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen|a different universe]].
* This is the first time in the series an Autobot weaponizes a part of their vehicle mode—in this case, Optimus's wheels on his legs.
*Ratchet actually LAUGHS in this episode, and at a cartoon space cat, of all things!

Come hither and listen to this ballad! This song!
Come learn about '''Wheelie''': The Wild Boy of [[Quintessa|Quintesson]]!
For Wheelie, so small, is an Autobot child,
But when stakes are high, he gets mean and wild!
He is belittled by many, who call him terrible things,
But Wheelie suffers not their cruel arrows and slings!
You see, Wheelie ''survives''; its just what he ''does'',
Nothing keeps him down. How is that? It's because,
He's a survivalist expert; a self-made Autobot!
The Hellish planet of Quintesson is where he was taught.
Wheelie speaks in a pattern that's structured in rhyme,
And he hangs out with [[Daniel Witwicky (G1)|Daniel]] most of the time.
They're two of a kind; kindred spirits and such,
Causing all sorts of trouble with their mischievous touch!
Wheelie cares not if he's liked; popularity doesn't matter,
And he doesn't care if his rhyming drives others mad as a hatter.
His critics may hate him or even wish he would ''die'',
Wheelie's reaction to them: [[Slingshot (weapon)|Here's death in your eye!]]
[[Image:Wheelietftmslingshot.jpg|right|250px|thumb|From early on, it was fated:
It would be me that you all hated!
]]

On far off [[Quintessa]] his ship it did crash,
Wheelie survived, but his ship turned to ash.
Though friendless and alone, Wheelie stayed alive,
For Wheelie is strong and the strong must survive!
One fateful day, the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]] came in search of their friends,
So Wheelie gaily offered to help them meet their ends.
With his confident walk and his whimsical talk,
Wheelie earned the respect of the Mighty [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]]!
Then with the help of [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]], [[Kup (G1)|Kup]] and the rest,
Wheelie returned to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], most can attest.
{{storylink|The Transformers: The Movie}}

In 2006, for all that it's worth,
He had to bring [[Metroplex (G1)|Metroplex]]'s [[Transformation cog|cog]] down to [[Earth]].
{{storylink|Five Faces of Darkness, Part 1}}

To accomplish the task, they paired him with fast-talking [[Blurr (G1)|Blurr]],
But Galvatron stranded them on Io, that villainous cur!
[[Image:FFOD4 Autobots lipoles.JPG|right|250px|thumb|With beasts big and small I've had my spats,
but did Wheelie deserve to fight all these bats?
]]

Being attacked by [[lipole]]s, things began to look grim,
But on account of the fact Blurr was faster than him,
Wheelie threw him the cog and told him to flee,
To [[Marissa Faireborn]]'s ship and to safety.
But the valiant Blurr refused to leave his friend,
And so the pair of heroes fought through to the end.
When Marissa came and helped, the lipoles got wise,
Targeting her ship and blowing it out of the skies!
{{storylink|Five Faces of Darkness, Part 4}}

The trio fought on, but their nerves were shaken,
'Til [[Sky Lynx (G1)|Sky Lynx]] showed up to save their bacon!
Though the lipoles were dispatched, the [[Predacon (G1)|Predacons]] then arrived,
But Sky Lynx had the power to tan all of their hides!
Their foes now defeated, the team flew to Earth,
Completing their mission and proving their worth.
With the cog now delivered, Metroplex came alive.
He thrashed [[Trypticon (G1)|Trypticon]], and the dino took a dive!
{{storylink|Five Faces of Darkness, Part 5}}

With Grimlock and Blurr, Wheelie listened to Kup,
As he yammered on and on and refused to shut up.
His story was about the [[Ick-Yak]]s on [[Dread (planet)|Dread]],
But when Grimlock mentioned [[Chaos (alien)|Chaos]], Kup lost his head!
{{storylink|Chaos (episode)|Chaos}}

When zombie Optimus Prime came under [[Quintesson]] control,
Destruction of the Autobots became his primary goal!
He tricked Wheelie and others into a terrible trap
Full of missiles and explosions to turn them to scrap!
But Wheelie survived when [[Hot Rod (G1)|Rodimus Prime]] returned
And left the zombie Optimus behind to be burned.
{{storylink|Dark Awakening}}

Not long after that, with no assignment or mission,
Wheelie volunteered for a fun competition.
But the timestream was getting all out of place,
And Wheelie got stuck in an unending race!
{{storylink|Forever Is a Long Time Coming}}

On Earth Wheelie witnessed crimes that were weird,
As multiple landmarks just disappeared!
The Dinobots were suspected, but he didn't buy the hype,
Because the true criminal was an [[Abdul Fakkadi (G1)|ethnic stereotype]]!
{{storylink|Thief in the Night}}

[[Image:Daniel%26wheeliesurpriseparty.jpg|right|250px|thumb|Daniel, we are out of time.
Yet, Wheelie must complete this rhyme!
]]

In his biggest adventure, Wheelie searched for a way,
To deduce the exact date of [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Magnus]]'s birthday!
He knew finding the truth would be kind of tricky,
So he went and paired up with Daniel Witwicky.
Their search led them straight to a storage asteroid,
Being spied on by [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]] (how paranoid!).
Cyclonus took them hostage and made his demands,
But Magnus wouldn't leave them in villainous hands!
When Magnus arrived, he charged straight at his foe,
But as they went at it, little did they know,
That Wheelie snuck past them and pressed the self-destruct,
Which meant if they lingered their deathbeds would be tucked!
So Cyclonus retreated as the asteroid blew up,
And Magnus saved the kids from their monumental screw up!
As it turned out, Magnus didn't know his own birthday,
So their entire adventure was pointless, anyway.
{{storylink|Surprise Party}}

With other Autobots, Wheelie found [[Paradron]],
A utopian planet that [[Sandstorm (G1)|Sandstorm]] lived on!
Galvatron tried to take it and make it his base,
But gave up when Ultra Magnus blew up the place.
{{storylink|Fight or Flee}}

On another adventure, Wheelie didn't do much,
But fill out the crowds, standing around and such.
{{storylink|Grimlock's New Brain}}

[[Image:AutobotsCall.jpg|right|250px|thumb|Our energy was drained.
No jokes have remained.
]]

Wheelie was slightly more active in his next major caper,
As Cybertron was being drained of its energy vapor!
Wheelie opened fire at a [[Tornedron]], a spider bathed in light,
But Tornedron drained his life, leaving Wheelie's body white.
Luckily for Wheelie, Tornedron was defeated,
And his life was restored, death successfully cheated!
{{storylink|Call of the Primitives}}

Wheelie, Kup, [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]], and Blurr happened on a [[Gregory Swofford|human]]'s plot,
And when they battled a [[Hate Plague|plagued]] [[Superion (G1)|Superion]], Wheelie was shot!
{{storylink|The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1}}

He was revived by a [[Quintesson]] who tried to work faster,
But when Optimus Prime set out, they replaced him with [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]]!
{{storylink|The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 2}}
====Rodimus vs. Cyclonus====

{{note|Wheelie's part in helping Hot Rod and Kup would go on. In the form of a comic with a minor [[Retcon]].}}

Before making it all the way to the Planet of [[Junkion (planet)|Junk]],
Wheelie and friends found themselves in a funk.
Though he was an expert pilot who could get them there fast,
[[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]] showed up and their fun would not last.
Cyclonus was challenged to battle by Hot Rod (so brave),
But Cyclonus's power almost banished him to his grave!
Kup then requested help and Wheelie replied
By talking to some friends who he knew were on his side.
To make their ship visible was what Kup had asked,
So [[Grapple]] and <strike>[[Warpath (G1)|Warpath]]</strike> [[Tracks (G1)|Tracks]] did so... ''and fast''!
When Hot Rod began winning, Cyclonus became a goner
He admitted this act was one without honor.
They at last made it to Junkion and found all their friends.
Now watch [[Wheelie (G1)#The Transformers cartoon|the rest of the movie]] to see how it ends.
In 2010, [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]] hatched a plan,
To gobble up spaceships as fast as he can!
To accomplish this, he built a mechanical creature
With huge, toothy jaws as its primary feature.
[[Image:Transformers2010MangaIssue5PrimeEnergyDefense01.jpg|right|250px|thumb|Want to compensate for being a tiny one?
Then just buy yourself an enormous gun!
]]

The Autobots found out and were quickly deployed,
Vowing not to give up until the beast was destroyed!
Wheelie was among the heroes enlisted to fight,
And helped [[Hot Rod (G1)|Rodimus]] sneak inside the gargantuan blight.
Rodimus blew up the creature with a smartly placed bomb,
And when the Autobots celebrated, Wheelie joined right along.
{{storylink|The Story of Super Robot Lifeforms: The Transformers issue 1}}
When planet [[Feminia]] and its [[Prime Energy Tower]]
Came under attack from Decepticon power,
Wheelie joined the Autobots in defending the thing,
Though their best efforts proved futile against [[Predaking]].
Observing the fight, Wheelie compared it to a game,
Prompting [[Kup (G1)|Kup]] to lash out, calling him stupid and lame!
The Decepticons eventually lost and were driven away,
Wheelie mocked and insulted the defeated [[Terrorcon (G1)|Terrorcon]]!
But Wheelie's cries of joy soon became cries of horror,
When the Terrorcons brainwashed the [[Technobot (G1)|Technobot]] warrior!
The [[Cohesive Control Liquid]] had seized Computron's mind
And forced him to join up with the Decepticons' kind!
Luckily, [[Spike Witwicky (G1)|Spike]] was there, observing the fight,
:''Voice actor:'' [[Kazue Komiya]] (Japanese)

[[Image:HM ep01 Wheelie beats Tantrum.jpg|right|250px|thumb|''Headmasters'' Wheelie could be as snarky as you please!
His words to Chromedome? "It's too late for apologies!"
]]

By 2011, Wheelie was too petulant to rhyme,
He blamed everything on [[Chromedome (G1)|Chromedome]], like, ''all'' of the time.
Although a jerk to the core, Wheelie was not all alone,
He hung out with [[Daniel Witwicky (G1)|Daniel]], and the two were quite danger-prone.
While chilling on [[Earth]], the pair were met with surprise
By the titanic Trypticon with glowing death in his eyes!
The Decepticon gave chase, but Wheelie outsmarted their foe,
Luring him onto a busted bridge, where he slipped and fell below.
They then stowed away on the [[Trainbot]]s and returned to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]],
To help battle the Decepticons with their (limited) brawn.
Daniel, the wuss, was soon attacked by [[Tantrum]],
So Wheelie had to pound the bull's head like a drum!
{{storylink|Four Warriors Come out of the Sky}}

Before leaving with [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]] to face matters unpleasant,
[[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]] bequeathed to Wheelie a very special present.
It was a mix-tape of music he'd composed on his own,
And Wheelie played it after Blaster died in battle alone.
{{storylink|The Mystery of Planet Master}}

As Hot Rod searched Earth for the [[Matrix of Leadership|Matrix]] he'd lost,
[[Kup (G1)|Kup]] told Wheelie to believe in him, no matter the cost.
Wheelie brushed off Kup's words, thinking them silly,
And was acting all snarky, at least up until he
Was interrupted by [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Fortress]], who had a better attitude,
So he offered to help instead of standing 'round being rude.
Wheelie, however, couldn't help them one whit,
So he went to an arcade with Daniel to complain about it.
He thought himself far more useful than the adults all around him,
And yet even at video games, ''Daniel'' proceeded to pound him.
{{storylink|Birth of the Fantastic Double Prime}}

Next, Blaster's untimely death sent Wheelie into depression.
"No one cares Blaster's gone" was his bitter impression.
But Wheelie was wrong; Rodimus Prime cared quite a bit.
He knew Blaster's death was a mistake and sought to rectify it!
So Blaster was revived as Twincast, much to Wheelie's elation,
And thus began the Great Cassette Operation!
{{storylink|The Great Cassette Operation}}

[[Image:WheelieRebellionBeast01.jpg|right|250px|thumb|Wheelie, a robot, is big and metallic,
But Fortress's cannon is big and ''most phallic''.
]]

Daniel and Wheelie then stowed away on [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Fortress]]'s battleship
And accompanied the Autobots on their perilous trip
To the [[Beastformer]] homeworld, known simply as [[Beast (planet)|Beast]],
Where the 'Cons were causing trouble (to say only the least).
Wheelie and Daniel then tried to rescue the Beastformer slaves,
But were imprisoned ''themselves'' in the dungeon-like caves!
Luckily for Wheelie, the Headmasters were there.
They drove off all the villains and rescued the pair.
{{storylink|Rebellion on Planet Beast}}

The meteorite [[Metamorphose]] then threatened Autobot space,
By warping anything metal in its magnetic embrace!
Only ''Daniel'' was safe. Only ''he'' could defeat it.
Wheelie cheered Daniel on—he was ''sure'' he could beat it!
But Daniel was a crybaby, a big blubbering sack,
So Wheelie chided his buddy and cut him no slack.
Daniel ''eventually'' manned up and blew up the rock,
But Wheelie, ''such a jerk'', continued to mock.
{{storylink|Approach of the Demon Meteorite}}

The Trainbots later invited both Wheelie and Dan
To come visit their birthplace in far-off [[Japan]].
Soon after arriving, [[Sixshot]] made some trouble,
Stirring up the Autobots, who countered on the double!
The Headmasters went searching all over the planet,
While Dan and Wheelie went shopping and...well, ''dammit'',
The Trainbots shopped ''with'' them, and [[Chromedome (G1)|Chromedome]] made a fuss,
Causing Daniel to run away crying. (Jeez, what a ''wuss''.)
{{storylink|Terror! The Six Shadows}}

Wheelie later observed as the Autobots fought,
To reach [[Vector Sigma]] first, for if they could not,
The Decepticons would get there, and then there'd be trouble,
Because they'd use Sigma's [[Cybertonuron]] to turn the Autobots to rubble!
But they were wrong—[[Scorponok (G1)|Scorponok]] had a more menacing scheme:
To blow up all of Cybertron! How terribly obscene!
The bombs could not be removed, much to Wheelie's frustration,
Leaving Rodimus to call for the planet's evacuation.
And so Wheelie was forced to watch his planet go KER-PEW!
Poor little guy...his day kind of ''blew''.
Rodimus then departed on an outer space quest,
Leaving [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]] to raise Wheelie (or at least do her best).
{{storylink|Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 2}}

[[Image:WheelieEnergonGlutton01.jpg|right|250px|thumb|Wheelie likes to eat, drink and be merry,
His favorite cereal is ''Frankenberry''.
]]

Crippled with sorrow over Cybertron's end,
The Autobots threw a party to help their wounds mend.
Wheelie, the hedonist, had too much to drink,
And got drunk and passed out, that little rat-fink!
{{storylink|The Shadow Emperor, Scorponok}}

Along with Daniel and Spike, Wheelie went to Peru
To prevent the members of the Decepticon crew
From making a volcano blow up sky-high,
Leaving the villagers below to helplessly fry.
As the mountain erupted, they approached in [[Broadside (G1)|Broadside]],
But he couldn't beat the heat, no matter how hard he tried!
So Wheelie tried once again, this time with the Trainbots,
But the heat drove ''them'' off too, just like they were lame-bots!
With no options left, they evacuated the town,
Saving the villagers while the magma poured down.
{{storylink|The Dormant Volcano Mysteriously Erupts}}

On Athenia, Daniel was planting some seeds
And began watering them to tend to their needs.
As Wheelie observed this dull gardening show,
He was shocked when he saw [[buridanka|the plant]] starting to grow!
The plant was a creature from the world of [[Darhos]]
That could grow to great heights, turning slimy and gross!
[[Image:WheelieHeadOnFortMax01.jpg|right|250px|thumb|"Excuse me, good sir, I'm beggin' your pardon,
But might Wheelie assist in planting your spice garden?"
]]

Wheelie and Daniel called to Spike for some aid.
Spike then looked to Arcee (since she was their maid).
But they could do nothing, and the plant ''almost'' trashed their base,
Luckily, Fortress wiped it out, leaving not even a trace.
{{storylink|Head On!! Fortress Maximus}}

When Wheelie and Daniel went to [[Mars (planet)|Mars]] on a geological mission,
They found that the red planet was in perilous condition!
Scorponok had planted bombs near the planet's core,
And once they went off, Mars would then be no more!
Then the pair were attacked by the [[Terrorcon (G1)|Terrorcon]] [[Rippersnapper (G1)|Rippersnapper]],
Who easily abducted the duo of lame whippersnappers!
Imprisoned deep underground in a series of caves,
Daniel concocted a scheme to trick the foul knaves.
He staged an argument with Wheelie and even a fake brawl,
Which let him secretly send an Autobot distress call!
The Headmasters then arrived and rescued the youths,
But could not find the time bombs. (What terrible sleuths!)
{{storylink|Explosion on Mars!! Maximus Is in Danger}}

Returned to Athenia, Wheelie looked on in fright,
Praying Fortress would survive his terrible fight!
When they found that their leader had been injured severely,
Wheelie swore to the skies that the Decepticons would pay dearly!
But Wheelie's swearing and screeching couldn't stop what was fated;
Mars was blown into bits and [[Scorponok (G1)|Mega Zarak]] was created.
{{storylink|Explosion on Mars!! MegaZarak Appears}}

With the threat of Mega Zarak now looming ahead,
Wheelie admitted to Daniel his feelings of dread.
But Daniel wouldn't hear it; he knew Fortress was stronger,
He'd had enough of Wheelie's crap, and he'd take it no longer.
So with inhuman strength (and overreacting a bit),
He shoved Wheelie into a lake after throwing a fit.
Before Wheelie could crush him with his mighty robot fist,
A flying saucer zoomed past. (Oh my gawd, aliens ''do'' exist!)
Daniel thought that the alien might be friend and not foe,
So he tried to use a keyboard to communicate with it and, ''whoah'',
Daniel was completely wrong—about as wrong as you can ''get''.
The alien was ''[[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]]''. (He was off by more than a bit.)
Humiliated by his actions, Daniel started to weep,
Leaving Wheelie no choice but to soothe the little creep.
{{storylink|Return of the Immortal Emperor}}

When the planet called [[Sandra (planet)|Sandra]] sent an SOS into space,
Asking for [[Energon cube]]s to save their dying race,
The Autobots, always kindly, agreed to give them their aid,
And Wheelie and Daniel tagged along to see the delivery made.
Then the Decepticons attacked! But Spike ''knew'' that they would,
And he set up a small cargo ship just so that they could
Slip away in the battle and deliver the cubes.
Wheelie and Daniel laughed out loud at the Decepticon rubes.
And so the cargo was delivered and Sandra was saved!
Wheelie didn't do much this time, but at least he behaved.
{{storylink|SOS from Planet Sandra}}

[[Image:WheelieHivePlanet01.jpg|right|250px|thumb|Normally, this would bring Wheelie to tears,
But he wouldn't touch a ''bug'' in a million years!
]]

When the Decepticons [[Apeface]] and [[Snapdragon (G1)|Snapdragon]] showed up at last,
[[Brainstorm]] told Wheelie all about their mysterious past.
He revealed unto Wheelie that they used to be friends,
But when they joined Scorponok, they could not make amends.
{{storylink|Daniel Faces His Biggest Crisis Ever!!}}

Wheelie and the Autobots then found themselves stuck in a race
To prevent the Decepticons from plundering space.
The planet of [[Hive (planet)|Hive]] was the villains' first victim,
But they were thwarted when the Autobots arrived to evict 'em.
{{storylink|Fight to the Death on Planet Hive!!}}

As for the twin planets of [[Twin Star|Sperity and Toruin]] ,
Galvatron planned to ransack them and bring them to ruin.
As Sperity was attacked for its huge energy stash,
Wheelie was sent to Toruin before he could do anything rash.
And on that barren planet Wheelie made a find:
The people of Sperity had left their old planet behind!
They had taken their energon far away from there,
Which is why Galvatron couldn't find it anywhere!
Eventually, Galvatron was forced to just call it quits,
And the Autobots left the Speritans to start over in the pits.
{{storylink|Battle for Defense of the False Planet}}

At ''[[Video Challenger]]'', Daniel proved very skilled,
But Wheelie's reaction to him was a little less thrilled.
So he challenged the kid to shoot an apple that he held up,
But Daniel shot his ''arm'' instead when his aim got fouled up.
A penal colony on [[Daros]] was their next landing point,
So they could rescue some war criminals being slaughtered in the joint.
One of the criminals, though, tried to cut Daniel's neck,
And Wheelie was helpless to stop him, but hey, ''what the heck''.
As it turns out, the criminal wasn't really ''that'' bad,
And when he let Daniel go, no one ''really'' got mad.
He gave information that helped them unravel a serious knot
And let them defeat MegaZarak. (Though they hadn't found his weak spot.)
{{storylink|Find MegaZarak's Weak Spot!!}}

[[Image:WheelieHeadFormationFriendship01.jpg|right|250px|thumb|So when Wheelie is horny his eyes glow like the Devil's?
This is unsettling on ''soooo'' many levels...
]]

The Decepticons drew them next to the jungle planet [[Paradise]],
Where they were plundering energy and doing things not-so-nice!
So with the Headmasters setting out to solve their enemy's tests,
Daniel and Wheelie met [[Papika]] and her voluptuous... ''face''.
Wheelie was smitten quite quickly, and his eyes glowed deep red.
It's best not to imagine the thoughts that went through ''his'' head.
After learning to fish, Wheelie tried his best to impress her
By transforming into a car, but his skills proved the lesser
When compared to Papika's; she could talk to beasts large and small,
Making it clear that Wheelie couldn't impress her ''at all''.
Later, the Headmasters won the day, just like they always did,
And Wheelie gave up on Papika. (She was out of your league, kid.)
{{storylink|Head Formation of Friendship}}

On their travels, the Decepticons proved formidable foes,
Having stolen energy from six planets. Why? ''Lord only knows''.
Approaching [[Pirate Planet]], Wheelie spotted something quite freaky:
An old space pirate ship that was battered, damaged and leaky.
And then an awesome adventure immediately began
Involving pirates! And pyramids! Treasure! [[Clone (subgroup)|Clones]]! And...''aw, man''.
Wheelie sat the whole thing out, letting Daniel have all the fun.
Of all the adventures to miss, he had to skip out on ''that'' one?
{{storylink|Mystery of the Space Pirate Ship}}

As [[Highbrow (G1)|Highbrow]] struggled in vain to crack Scorponok's secret code,
Daniel and Wheelie tried to help him cross that long, bumpy road.
Unfortunately, their "help" proved far too insufficient,
And they had to start over from scratch (not very efficient).
Then Sixshot attacked and blew [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] into bits,
And Wheelie attended his funeral between crying fits.
{{storylink|Ultra Magnus Dies!!}}

From the Athenia base, Wheelie watched Spike blow his top;
The 'Cons were ransacking Earth and weren't going to stop!
They were blaming Chromedome for the team's lack of success,
But Arcee told them to chill and to give it a rest.
{{storylink|The Emperor of Destruction Vanishes on an Iceberg}}

[[Image:IRiskMyLifeForWheelie01.jpg|250px|thumb|right|Wheelie likes to blame Chromedome for all that he can.
He's a serious douchebag in this cartoon from Japan.
]]

On a mission to Earth, Chromedome had just one simple job,
To keep Spike from getting killed, but that big robotic knob
Screwed it all up and Spike went into intensive care.
Daniel forgave Chromedome, but Wheelie wouldn't let it end there.
Chromedome tried to say sorry, but Wheelie said it wasn't enough.
Even by ''Wheelie's'' standards, he was treating Chromedome pretty rough.
As Spike recovered from surgery, Wheelie was then put to work,
Helping to find Mega Zarak's weakspot for Chromedome (that ''jerk'').
After tens of minutes of labor, they all figured it out:
The weakspot was on his chest beyond all shadow of a doubt!
{{storylink|I Risk My Life for Earth}}

With the Decepticons banished from Earth, the Autobots needed aid
In gathering [[Plasma energy]] bombs so the humans would not be afraid.
To accomplish this goal, Wheelie offered to call on friends that he knew,
But Daniel laughed in his face! Wheelie was friendless and a ''fibber'', too!
Then much to Daniel's surprise, Wheelie proved him totally wrong,
When his good "friends" [[Pointblank]], [[Crosshairs (G1)|Crosshairs]] and [[Sureshot (G1)|Sureshot]] came along!
Those Autobots were great warriors! Daniel was very impressed!
But at being called Wheelie's "friends" the trio became very distressed.
As it turns out, they ''weren't'' his "friends"; Wheelie was an absolute liar!
They were his superior officers! His robo-pants were on fire!
{{storylink|Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 1)}}

With Wheelie's good "friends" now turned into powerful [[Targetmaster]]s,
The veterens began insulting the obsolete Headmasters.
In front of Daniel and Wheelie, Pointblank came down on Chromedome,
Who feared the after effects of the disrespect he was shown.
But Daniel and Wheelie didn't respect Chromedome any less
(If they respected him ''at all'' is, well, ''anyone's'' guess).
{{storylink|Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 2)}}

[[Image:TheWheelieSwordIsInDanger01.jpg|thumb|250px|right|Okay, sure, Wheelie. ''Whatever you say.''
Daniel can't be a Headmaster (in ''this'' continuity, anyway).
]]

While set down on planet Master, Wheelie became full of himself,
Vowing to become a Headmaster by improving fitness and health.
Daniel rolled his eyes and laughed out loud; Wheelie's dreams were too silly.
Wheelie told Daniel he could ''never'' be one; he was too fleshy and frilly.
Very early the next morning, Wheelie snuck outside for a run,
Only to be captured by Sixshot, whose evil scheme had begun!
Sixshot threatened to dip Wheelie in acid if Fortress didn't agree
To give up the [[Master Sword]]'s secrets and to do it quickly!
Pointblank coldly suggested they just let Wheelie melt and die,
But Daniel and Chromedome disagreed! They'd save the little guy!
Going against orders, the pair snuck inside of Scorponok,
With Daniel using his size to sneak past the energy locks.
They got Wheelie out safely, but alas, their rescue was too late.
Fortress had just handed over his secrets! Well, ain't that just ''great''?
Furious at the trio for leaving the ship without orders,
He gave them a mop and a bucket and said to wash ''all'' the quarters.
{{storylink|The Master Sword Is in Danger!!}}

Thanks to Wheelie's epic failure, the Decepticons took what they stole
And began construction of the [[Zarak Shield]] as their ultimate goal.
As the Headmasters traversed Master to thwart the sinister plan,
Wheelie stood ontop of Battleship Maximus, hanging with Dan.
They were startled by [[Weirdwolf]], who had concocted a plan all his own,
He'd set bombs on the ship and didn't want their cover to be blown!
Weirdwolf's plan was a success; the bombs completely ruined the ship
And with his fancy new shield, Zarak prepared to beat on the crip.
{{storylink|The Zarak Shield Turns the Tide}}

While [[Raiden]] and [[Defensor (G1)|Defensor]] worked double-time on repairs,
Wheelie and Dan found themselves useless to help with such affairs.
As the grown-ups worked diligently to create tactics and plans,
The kids went to play video games at their elder's demands.
{{storylink|Operation: Destroy the Decepticons}}

With the Maximus repaired, the Autobots set off into space
After Mega Zarak whom they ''once again'' had to chase.
In an effort to kill time, Wheelie had his ''greatest'' idea yet:
He and Daniel would see what it was like inside a laser turret!
Then the turret was damaged with Daniel still stuck inside,
And jettisoned away from the ship; Wheelie just about ''cried''.
Daniel made it back (with Sixshot's help), much to Wheelie's relief;
If he had caused Daniel's death, Wheelie would have been crippled with grief!
{{storylink|My Friend Sixshot!}}

Sixshot may have saved Daniel, but he was still no Autobot friend
And challenged Chromedome to a duel where he'd surely meet his end.
Wheelie, that eavesdropping punk, heard about the whole situation
And ran and told Daniel, who wasn't keen on the confrontation.
{{storylink|Duel on the Asteroid}}

Because of that stupid duel, Mega Zarak made it to Earth first,
Once again, it was ''all'' Chromedome's fault (that guy is really the ''worst'').
Daniel was busy pouting, thinking Sixshot had died in the fight.
Wheelie teased the brat, anyway (never one to pass on a slight).
They eventually reached Earth, but tragedy wasn't far behind:
Spike's plane crashed down in the Andes and they were all in a bind!
Wheelie followed his good buddy, who had to rescue his mother,
And Daniel saved the day, yet again! A true hero! (''Oh brother...'')
{{storylink|The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 1)}}

It turned out Scorponok's master plan involved blowing up the Earth
And gathering up the released energy (which was of tremendous worth).
With friends and justice, the Autobots joined hands in formation
And prevented Scorponok's insidius detonation!
Mega Zarak destroyed and the Decepticons driven away,
Wheelie and Daniel were left with only goodbyes to say.
Wheelie promised to visit Daniel again when he was older,
[[Image:Wildboyofquintessonbattle.jpg|right|250px|thumb|So you think that Wheelie's stupid and just hate his guts?
Well Wheelie's ten times cooler than ''you'' are, you sniveling putz!
]]

When Wheelie went on a space trip with his mom and his dad,
They crashed down on [[Quintessa|Quintesson]] and their ship was damaged quite bad!
Poor Wheelie, so young, lost both of his parents that day,
And now with nowhere to go, he had no choice but to stay.
But the [[Quintesson]]s, those meanies, didn't like Wheelie one bit,
So they threw him first in a dungeon, then in a [[Sharkticon (G1)|Sharkticon]] pit!
Wheelie, however, was not ''about'' to be killed,
As it turns out, in gymnastics, Wheelie was very skilled!
Using the gangplank as a springboard, he made his escape,
Then fled into the jungle to live off the land like an ape!
An undetermined time after that, a spoiled brat named [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]],
Went on a space trip with his homies and, well, isn't it odd,
They crash-landed on Quintesson just like Wheelie did?
Except none of them died like the parents of ''that'' kid.
No sooner had they landed, they were menaced by danger;
The Quintessons were attacking, but what's even ''stranger'',
Is that Wheelie saved their lives, launching fireballs at the villains,
All the while bustin' mad rhymes that were krunk, phresh and illin'.
Wheelie then led his new friends to his damaged old spaceship,
And Hot Rod began on repairs so they all could make the trip,
Away from Quintesson and they needed to leave ''soon'',
For the Quintessons had returned with some Sharkticon goons!
Hot Rod repaired the spaceship and just ''barely'' in time,
And Wheelie escaped with his friends, his health and his rhymes.
{{storylink|The Story of Wheelie, the Wild Boy of Quintesson}}
[[Image:Departure-WheelieDaniel.jpg|right|300px|thumb|For Daniel only Arcee cried,
but alas poor Wheelie also died!
]]

With [[Doctor Fujiyama the Famous Scientist|Dr. Fujiyama]] in tow, the Autobots were quite screwed.
It seems a legion of [[Nightbird (G1)|Nightbirds]] were in a terrible mood!
With Wheelie injured thanks to a shot in the back,
Scar-faced Daniel realized the villains would cut them no slack.
Prepared to die to stop the evil hordes,
Wheelie told Daniel these few final words:
{{quote|"All through our lives, I've been your friend. But now it's time for this to end."}}

With a grenade pin pulled, signalling doom,
Daniel ended their friendship with a massive ''Kaboom''!
Centuries passed, with Wars both Great and of Beast,
And once again [[Unicron]] was prepared to feast!
An alternate Wheelie was poached from his home,
And locked in the [[Cauldron]] where no one could roam.
He would fight other Transformers till death, either one;
The loser would feed his [[spark]] to hungry Unicron!
Trapped in a cage, Wheelie was doomed to meet [[Primus|his maker]],
However, he was saved by [[Silverbolt (BW)|Silverbolt]] and [[Trailbreaker (G1)|Trailbreaker]]!
He escaped with the others, through a portal they were hurled,
Towards perhaps his home universe, a return to his world!
{{note|Believe it or not, just like in Japan, Wheelie did not rhyme once, much to the joys of many a fan.}}

Although [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] promised peace to one and all,
Wheelie was smart and for that ruse he did not fall.
He joined a team along with [[Gnaw]], his [[Sharkticon (G1)|Sharkticon]] pet.
Together they strove to unveil Shockwave's evil threat.
[[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] wasted no time in joining their side,
But thought Gnaw was attacking and beat his ugly hide.
Wheelie didn't take this well and thought Prime a brute,
So in retaliation, he bit the Commander's boot!
[[Image:Wheeliesurvival.jpg|right|150px|thumb|Wheelie is sad,
for once again he's been had!
]]

All that Wheelie ever wanted was to help one and all,
But the bigger, tougher Autobots thought he was too small.
Then finally, one day, Wheelie at last got his due,
And then radiation malfunctioned his ship—Wheelie cried boo-hoo!
{{storylink|Spotlight: Wheelie}}

Wheelie sent out a transmission, hoping someone might help.
[[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] got the call but completely ignored the whelp!
{{storylink|Spotlight: Optimus Prime}}

So since no Autobot cared if Wheelie lived or died,
His ship crashed into a planet, and its systems were fried!
The foul creatures of that world towered great heights over him,
And when he tried [[Universal greeting|greeting]] [[Chaosteros|one]], it just tore off his limb!
Wheelie got it back later, so he wasn't ''totally'' sunk,
But the place where he found it stunk ten times worse than a skunk.
Alas, poor Wheelie had to dig through poop piles in vain.
And after all of ''that'', transforming caused him great pain.
The trail of a crashed ship was what he next embarked upon,
But he then found that it had been piloted by Decepticons!
An innocent [[Varta|alien]] was being tortured by [[Spectro]] and [[Spyglass]],
So Wheelie swooped in like a superhero and saved the shmuck's ass.
And for that poor guy's sake, Wheelie had saved him just in time,
So the grateful little guy taught Wheelie how to rhyme!
And Varta (the alien) even had a ship that flew!
To get it up and running, Wheelie's power source would do.
Together, the friends both prepared to leave the wretched place,
But their dreams where shattered when Spyglass shot Varta in the face!
The Decepticons took the ship and left Wheelie to his doom,
But he surprised all the 'Cons and made the ship go kaboom!
One year after that, he and Varta had built a home,
And from then on, his fate Wheelie would no longer bemoan!
In the distant year 2010, things were looking quite bleak:
[[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] had seized command from [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]], that psychotic freak!
Most of the Autobots were now dead, buried and gone
Because Shockwave used the [[Zel Quartz]] to destroy [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]!

But Wheelie had survived alongside [[Rodimus Prime (G1)|Rodimus Prime]]
And along with some others, they travelled backward in time
To 2003, before Shockwave had gone totally nuts
And squarely kicked all of the Decepticons' butts.
*In the first [[commercial]] where Wheelie did appear, his voice didn't sound anywhere near! Although Frank Welker did the gig, Wheelie's voice came much deeper, dig? In fact — and we're sure you'll all agree — he sounded like the [[Wikipedia:The Smurfs|Smurfs']] pal [[Wikipedia:Johan and Peewit|Peewit]]! (That's pronounced "Peewee", you see.)

*In an [[Toy Fair 1986|old catalog]], Wheelie's toy could be seen, but when his toy hit the market, its colors changed some time in between. And yet this obsolete coloration still lingered around; Wheelie bore the same scheme in some comics, savvy readers had found!

*Among those who dislike Wheelie is [[Floro Dery]], his creator—really! Dery's said that of all his Transformers designs, Wheelie's the one that he most maligns—maybe even the only one! Honest, it's true! You can read for yourself in this interview! <ref>[http://transformersph.blogspot.com/2007/06/interview-with-floro-dery.html TransFormers Philippines: Interview With Floro Dery, where he says "I don't like Wheelie"]</ref>
They believed Hot Shot's [[Wheeljack (Armada)|friend]] had died in those flames. Thanks to those jerks, Hot Shot is who he blames. {{storylink|Past}} {{storylink|Past II}}
**The model was used again later on, this time as a generic [[Mini-Con]]! {{storylink|Miracle}}

*[[Chris Ryall]] said Wheelie would get a [[Spotlight: Wheelie|spotlight]] on his [http://ryalltime.blogspot.com/2008/02/who-said-music-industry-is-dead.html blog]. His hide the fans did wish to flog. On [http://jizaitoys.seesaa.net/article/34599110.html Jizai's design] [[Klaus Scherwinski]] did base, for Wheelie's sake he does not lose face.

* Though Wheelie thought his body looked fine, for [[All Hail Megatron|AHM]] he got a redesign! [[Guido Guidi]] was not enthused, and in "[[Spotlight: Wheelie]]" it didn't get used.

[[Ratchet (Prime)|Ratchet]] apologises for the fact that [[Earth]] materials aren't up to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertronian]] standards, but nonetheless unveils the "[[Safe]]", a training room full of weapons. [[Raf Esquivel|Raf]] wonders if it stands for "Systems And Firing Evaluation"—Ratchet just meant it was a safe place to train, but likes Raf's idea better. Raf, for one, is impressed by the hardware. [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]] wonders if they really need more training, though as [[Optimus Prime (Prime)|Optimus Prime]] points out, there are more Decepticons than Autobots.

Ratchet hits the on button, and Bulkhead, [[Bumblebee (Prime)|Bumblebee]] and [[Arcee (Prime)|Arcee]] proceed to go up against automated turrets. Bulkhead hits on the idea of simply smashing everything. Unfortunately in doing so he encounters something not in the original spec—a short-range nuclear ballistic missile which is now counting down ominously. If that's not bad enough [[Jack Darby|Jack]] and [[Miko Nakadai|Mika]] alert them to another threat: a group of [[Vehicon (Prime)|Vehicons]] have mistaken the missile's energy signature for [[energon]] and are incoming.

While [[Optimus Prime (Prime)|Optimus]], Bumblebee and Arcee head out to deal with the 'Cons, Bulkhead holds the roof up so Ratchet and Raf can work on disabling the bomb. Outside, the three Autobots wade into the incoming Decepticons and swiftly dispatch them. Inside, Raf momentarily panics, causing Mika to point out that their time is short. After a moment's thought, Raf reprograms the timer to count upwards instead of downwards, giving them a lot more time to defuse it.

Bulkhead is ready to go bash some 'Cons, but Arcee tells him that's already dealt with. [[William Fowler|Agent Fowler]], having been alerted by the missile's automatic tracking device, turns up with a team of scientists to defuse the bomb. Prime, believing that the bomb was placed there as a failsafe in case the Autobots ever turned on the humans, firmly tells them to take it with them when they leave. Later on, Ratchet suggests that Raf helps with the redesign of the "Safe".
Of the [[Deployer (Prime)|Deployer]]s who stand with [[Soundwave (Prime)|Soundwave]], '''Laserbeak''' may say the least, but he quickly distinguishes himself, as his powerful laser attacks can pin down an [[Autobot]] attack force... when it isn't cutting them to shreds.
==Fiction==
===''Exodus'' novel===
Megatron despised Soundwave's minions, including Laserbeak. When Soundwave intercepted a message from [[William Fowler|Agent Fowler]], Soundwave released Laserbeak (which was resting on his chest) to bring Fowler to the ''[[Nemesis (Prime)|Nemesis]]''. After chasing Fowler's helicopter, the drone grabbed Fowler with his tentacles and returned to the Decepticon ship. {{storylink|Darkness Rising, Part 3}}
After Soundwave picked up a possible signal from [[Megatron (Prime)|Megatron]], who was previously assumed dead, [[Starscream (Prime)|Starscream]] went to investigate. Untrusting of Starscream, Soundwave decided to keep an eye on him by sending Laserbeak after him. After finding Megatron, Starscream intended to allow Megatron to perish, but was forced to reconsider when he discovered Soundwave's Minicon watching him. {{storylink|Masters & Students}}
When the captive [[Optimus Prime (Prime)|Optimus Prime]], [[Bumblebee (Prime)|Bumblebee]] and [[Sideswipe (WFC)|Sideswipe]] were brought before Soundwave in the Kaon Prison, Laserbeak swooped down and perched on his master's arm. It soon turned out, however, that Prime's team had allowed themselves to be captured so they could rescue [[Sentinel Zeta Prime|Zeta Prime]], and as they escaped and made their way through the prison, Laserbeak could be spotted lurking in the shadows, watching their progress, at three different locations. By the time Prime's group made it to Soundwave's laboratory, where Zeta Prime was being held Laserbeak had reunited with his master, and joined Soundwave in battling the Autobots. Laserbeak served as Soundwave's last line of defense in the clash, ejecting from his chest and screeching across the lab at high speeds, blasting laser bursts onto the Autobots below. He was eventually downed, however, and accompanied Soundwave in a hasty retreat, but not before Soundwave fatally wounded Zeta Prime. {{storylink|Transformers: War for Cybertron (360/PS3/PC)|Transformers: War for Cybertron}}
