:The Multiforce is an Autobot combiner team from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Multiforce (マルチ戦隊 Multisentai) is the name for a young group of Autobots serving in the Galaxy Defense Force Sector One unit. Originally working under Supreme Commander Star Saber on Planet V, the group transferred with him to Earth where they began training under the elite unit known as Brainmasters. Despite being the new bots on the block, Multiforce members were often sent out on missions solo, though for some sensitive missions they would be assigned a senior officer to command them. Each member is possessed of the power of an element. Multiforce served as a counterpoint to the Decepticon unit known as Dinoforce.

The Multiforce consists of:

*Wing (leader) — the warrior of the wind
*Waver — the warrior of the water
*Dash — the warrior of the Sun
*Tacker — the warrior of the fire
*Mach — the warrior of the Moon
*Tackle — the warrior of the earth

These robots can combine in pairs, and as a result the Multiforce also consists of:

*Wingwaver (leader)
*Dashtacker
*Machtackle

The six robots can all also combine to form Landcross.
Dashtacker and Machtackle served about the Sector One space station under God Ginrai and the Car Trio while Wingwaver served directly under Star Saber on the Planet V. After the destruction of the Lunar Energy Plant and Space Station it was decided to transfer all survivors and the Sector One troops to Earth for the time being. While Wingwaver was transferring from Planet V to Earth he came under attack by the Dinoforce but was saved by the Brainmasters. At their next engagement, Multiforce was able to employ their own secret weapon, Landcross, to combat the Dinoforce combiner Dinoking. Time after time the Multiforce has been called upon to detect hidden energy plants, uncover Decepticon plots, and defeat superior Decepticon forces.
Micromaster
The Multiforce were testing new stealth technology on Earth (presumably at some point before their appointment to the Vega Sector) when they suddenly found themselves sucked through a rift in time and space. Deposited on Earth in the early 1980s, the team discovered that they had arrived at the foot on Mount St. Hilary prior to its eruption. The volcano was being protected by a team of Autobot Micromasters, and the six Multiforcers cautiously approached their headquarters, Metrobase, in their stealth modes. When the base's sensors finally detected them, they decloaked and introduced themselves to the Micromasters, forming a fast alliance. The group was soon attacked by the Micromasters' Decepticon enemies, but the Multiforce quickly combined into Wingwaver, Dashtacker and Machtackle to fend off Decepticon Sixbuilder, then merged into Landcross to send Sixwing packing. Landcross wondered if it was destiny that they had been pulled back in time to this point, so that they could help protect the Transformers slumbering within Mount St. Hilary and thereby safeguard their own future. The Menace of Landcross's Combining Formation!

: A giftset of Wingwaver, Dashtacker, and Machtackle. In addition to transforming separately into robot and vehicle modes and combining into Landcross, the six toys could also be combined in two-robot pairs, with one robot forming the head, upper torso, and arms and the other forming the lower torso and legs. The six robots' guns could be combined into a single large weapon.

:Although they were typically depicted in the fiction as Wingwaver, Dashtacker, and Machtackle, any two Multiforce members could be combined with either robot on top (similar to Energon Powerlinx Autobots), allowing combinations such as Tackerdash, Machwing, or Tacklewaver. (...What? What's so funny?)

Micromaster
* Multiforce (Micromaster, 2004)

:In 2004, the entire Multiforce was re-released as part of the Micromaster toyline (despite having never previously been considered Micromasters), in individual boxes with a number visible to show which mold was inside each box. For this release, all of the decals from the original version were replaced with paint applications. Landcross could only be assembled by buying all six components individually; he was never offered as a complete set.

:In every case of twelve Multiforce "Micromasters," two of them were solid-black-plastic "stealth mode" variations. All six toys were available in this manner, and could be combined into a black "stealth mode" Landcross.

Notes
*Although the word "Multiforce" is spelled out in English on the team's toy packaging, the group breaks Japanese Transformers convention by not actually being referred to by this English name in the animated series, where they are identified as the Multisentai, the Japanese translation of the term.
*While the relationship between the Micromaster versions of Sixliner, Sixturbo, Sixwing, Sixbuilder, and Sixtrain and their counterparts in Operation Combination (or Return of Convoy in the case of Sixliner) is unclear, the Micromaster Multiforce are explicitly the same as the Victory Multiforce.
*The Multiforce have the interesting distinction of being the only instance in Transformers of a combiner team made up of several smaller combiner teams.
*The Multiforce seem to be the precursors to the Powerlinx concept used in Energon.
:Piranacon is a Decepticon combiner from the Generation 1 continuity family.
When it comes to combiners, most suffer from the same problem: an inability to agree on anything while in their super-robot form, resulting in limited intelligence and limited effectiveness. Such is not the case with Piranacon. The Seacons who compose Piranacon can all agree on one thing, they love to hunt. In fact, they love it so much, that once they combine, they absolutely will not stop until they've either run out of energy or been destroyed. This has gotten to be such a problem that their commander, Snaptrap, has been forced to activate an automatic timer upon combination, forcing Piranacon to disassemble after a period of time. Despite this one set-back, Megatron considers Piranacon an ideal warrior and wishes he had more Decepticons like him.
When the six warriors failed to put a dent in Galvatron, they combined into Piranacon and renewed their attack. Even in this massive form, after a long and brutal underwater battle, Galvatron defeated them. Blasted into their component parts, the Seacons were abandoned where they fell. Enemy Action!

Soon after their island base was relocated to the Arctic, Piranacon's might was called upon again. A mysterious starship had entered their airspace, and this potentially hostile action had to be answered with a show of strength. Piranacon assembled and grappled the edge of the starship as it landed, but he was called off when Starscream announced that these were no intruders, but a second group of Decepticons led by Scorponok come to visit. When Megatron made peaceful gestures to humanity in New York City, he gave a "statue" of Snaptrap as a gift to the city. Just what they always wanted. Unsurprisingly, this statue turned out to be Snaptrap in disguise. Once night fell, Snaptrap transformed into Piranacon (on his own apparently) and went on a rampage. He was eventually stopped by the mighty force of the Sparkabots, Scoop and Quickmix.
During Bludgeon's campaign against Megatron, the Seacons sided with the skeletal samurai Pretender. When Bludgeon was informed that Hun-Grrr had betrayed him in favor of Megatron, he and the Seacons confronted the Terrorcon leader. Hun-Grrr was outraged at the accusation, and hostilities lead to both teams combining. Abominus put up a good fight, but in the end, Piranacon jammed his sword into his opponent's back. The Terrorcons collectively entered stasis lock.

Fearing that Hun-Grrr was able to leak his battle plans to Megatron's forces, Bludgeon prepared for an immediate strike. Back at his command station, he issued orders to the Seacons. They made as if to obey, but secretly combined into Piranacon once more. Bludgeon turned, discovering the true traitors, and acknowledged that Megatron was his tactical superior. Piranacon blasted the Pretender to oblivion with his Mass-Compression Cannon. At Fight's End
G.I. Joe vs. The Transformers
The Seacons formed Piranacon as a response to the Predacons assaulting Nautilator and wrestling in on their part of the Gladiator Zone. The Seacons' combined form proved inferior to Predaking, however, and Piranacon was defeated and nearly killed. He was saved due to the intervention of Serpent O.R., who recruited both combiners into his Decepticon army. The Art of War issue 2 Soon afterwards, Piranacon helped capture a group of Autobots and [[G.I.

:The Piranacon giftset is unique among Scramble City-style combiner giftsets in that it does not include all the members. For some reason—possibly cost concerns—the set includes only Snaptrap, Overbite, Seawing, Skalor and Tentakil. Nautilator is not included.
: This mold-set was redecoed to make Beast Wars II God Neptune, and with the addition of Lobclaw was released in Japan as King Poseidon.

: A redeco of the Generation 1 mold above, Timelines Piranacon was available exclusively as an Transformers Collectors' Club-exclusive giftset containing all six Seacons in new color schemes. This set, unlike the original US giftset, includes Nautilator. The box looks like a modified version of King Poseidon's.

:The toy is packaged with a reproduction of the original Generation 1 Piranacon instructions, which show Skalor as the right arm, Seawing as the left arm, and Nautilator as the right leg. However, the box art and on-package photos show Nautilator as the right arm and Skalor as the right leg, while the accessory layout gives the right fist to Seawing and the left fist to Nautilator.

:This toy was originally intended as an exclusive set of Energon-series Terrorcons, but was shelved due to a lack of retailer interest. The team were called the Piranhacons and their combined form was Piranhaking.
Transformers (2010)
*Decepticon Piranacon (Seacon giftset, 2010)

:The Piranacon giftset was released as an exclusive for several online toy merchants (BigBadToyStore in particular). Unlike the previous 1988 version gift set, the set now includes all the Seacons: Snaptrap, Overbite, Seawing, Skalor,Tentakil, and Nautilator.

: The set is packaged in a way reminiscent of the Hasbro Masterpiece style transparent display box. The toys are fully combined in Piranacon mode, holding Overbite's Targetmaster mode in his right hand and Snaptrap's newly chromed "incendiary sword" in the left. The decals are already pre-applied unlike previous re-issues in the Commemorative and Encore lines. Aside from the inclusion of Nautilator, the set also includes seven metallic finish biocards (the seventh being for Piranacon).

: Just like the previous use of the mold set, certain degradations of the mold are very obvious, especially in Nautilator's hip area, although the 5mm holes and pegs have been readjusted somewhat from the much degraded state they were in on the Timelines release. The pegs and holes on all figures still are not exact fits in all cases, however.

: Noted differences from the original set, aside from the chromed sword, include: some mold colors have been changed and Snaptrap's head has apparently been moved from a black plastic sprue to a green one. The head change is likely a holdover from the Timelines run, as it was not the case on Halfshell. Previous screwed on connectors have been changed to riveted points. The stickers also appear to have been remastered after a fashion, as new highlights and gradients have been added to almost all stickers, as well as just being remarkably crisp and vibrant in general.

:The set is packaged with Nautilator as the right leg and Skalor as the right arm, a combination also reflected in the new packaging art, box photo and instructions. However, the Piranacon collector card included with the set reuses the G1 box art, which depicts Skalor as the right leg and Nautilator as the right arm.

Notes
*Originally, as shown at OTFCC 2004, Piranhaking was to have his own, original box-art. However, the box-art of the Timelines Piranacon is a recolored version of his original art instead of that newly-commissioned piece. Piranhaking's unused art appears to have been drawn by Dan Khanna.

*The Seacons' unique variation on standard "Scramble-city" style combination, whereby one member serves as a Targetmaster for Piranacon, means that whichever of the six Seacons takes on this role is actually excluded from the usual mental merging. It is for this very reason that, although any member other than Snap Trap can take turns, the team usually try to make sure that their resident screw-up Nuatilator be the one most commonly relegated to the role of weapon. Nautilator's incompetance is so severe that his fellow Seacons strongly prefer to exclude him from the primary gestalt, having discovered that Piranacon's effectiveness is noticeably impaired whenever his mind is part of the mix.

Piranacon is the combined form of:

*Nautilator
*Overbite
*Seawing
*Skalor
*Snaptrap
Shockwave sent the Seacons to attack Galvatron when the future Decepticon neared the Decepticons' island base and threatened his position as Decepticon leader.

Piranacon set the starship gently on the ground. Cold War!
Condor-Verlag Transformers Comic-Magazin
TransformersComicMagazin
When Megatron made peaceful gestures to humanity in New York City, he gave a "statue" of Snaptrap as a gift to the city. Just what they always wanted. Unsurprisingly, this statue turned out to be Snaptrap in disguise. Once night fell, Snaptrap transformed into Piranacon (on his own apparently) and went on a rampage. He was eventually stopped by the mighty force of the Sparkabots, Scoop and Quickmix.
Classics

The Art of War issue 2 Soon afterwards, Piranacon helped capture a group of Autobots and G.I. Joes who had arrived on Cybertron in search of Serpent O.R. During an assault on an Autobot peace ceremony, Piranacon helped Predaking and Menasor fight Omega Supreme. The Art of War issue 3 After the three combiners disabled the giant Autobot, Piranacon started hunting down civilians until Optimus Prime steered Sixshot into crashing into his face. The Art of War issue 4
*Piranacon (Seacon giftset, 1988)

:The Piranacon giftset is unique among Scramble City-style combiner giftsets in that it does not include all the members. For some reason—possibly cost concerns—the set includes only Snaptrap, Overbite, Seawing, Skalor and Tentakil. Nautilator is not included.

: This mold-set was redecoed to make Beast Wars II God Neptune, and with the addition of Lobclaw was released in Japan as King Poseidon.
Timelines
*Piranacon (Seacon giftset, 2008)

Nautilator is a genuine card-carrying bungler in every conceivable way, shape and form. Anguished, rage-filled bellows of "Nautilatooooooooorrrr!!!" echo endlessly throughout the corridors of the Decepticon Headquarters, as both his peers and superiors struggle in vain to cope with his brand of oafish buffoonery. A total train-wreck of a soldier, Nautilator can hardly manage to swim, much less follow complicated instructions within an aquatic environment. It is often said that the only positive quality he brings to the table is his inexplicable ability to return from the ocean depths with objects of value... but only after he's sunk himself there and had to be rescued.

Of course, if one were to queston Nautilator as to why he's such an incompetent doofus, he'd be quick to point a claw at anyone but himself. After all, it's certainly not his fault that the pencil-pushing eggheads at Decepticon Command chose to turn him into a lobster when he clearly had no deep sea combat training of any kind (or at the very least, they could have issued him some floaties).

When he isn't sinking to the bottom of the Atlantic, Nautilator can combine with his fellow Seacons to form Piranacon.
When Shockwave's Earthbound Decepticons established their new undersea base, Nautilator and the Seacons were summoned from Cybertron to work on the base's fortifications, as they were uniquely suited for underwater activity. They got more than they bargained for when the super-Decepticon Galvatron came a'calling. In the battle, Seawing and Jawbreaker managed to momentarily stun Galvatron, but in the end even the combined might of Piranacon couldn't beat him. Enemy Action!

After Shockwave was deposed, the new commander Ratbat kept the Seacons on retainer for another mission. The Seacons were commissioned to hunt down a sunken shipwreck in the water around the Decepticon undersea base, a wreck which supposedly contained two Autobot cassettes with valuable information encoded on them. They successfully obtained the treasure chest containing the cassettes and, despite a brief theft by the Autobot Blaster, managed to recapture the prize and return it to their leader. Unfortunately for them, this led to a sequence of events whereby the treacherous Starscream acquired the power of the Underbase for himself. ==Notes==

* How big a screw-up is Nautilator? Well, he was left out of the US/UK Piranacon gift set and he's the only Seacon not to be redecoed for the Beast Wars II subgroup. He wasn't even drawn in the super-robot art.

*Poor Nuatilator is so incompetent that his fellow Seacons prefer to relegate him into taking on the Targetmaster role when combining, since this means they don't have to mentally merge with him. They have discovered that when he does participate in the primary gestalt, Piranacon's effectiveness is noticeably impaired.

* Nautilator has the worst backpack kibble of the Seacons, but you wouldn't know it from reading the Marvel Comics. Artist José Delbo must have only had art of Nautilator's front, since he drew Nautilator from the back twice, and not only are his lobster head and claws not there, but it's a different set of details each time.
