While busting some moves outside the [[Dancitron]], Rocksteady and his friends [[Raoul]] and [[Poplock]] were harassed by a group of thugs send from the club. The trio split, fleeing from the thugs until they ran into [[Tracks (G1)|Tracks]] and [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]]. After the two Autobots had chased off the thugs, the Bop Crew filled them in on the events so far. Later, as the Bop Crew were taking the elevated train, Rocksteady observed that the train was running out of control. They were once again saved by Tracks and Blaster.

Poplock and Rocksteady found themselves left with Blaster, as Tracks and Raoul departed to investigate the club. While they were waiting for Blaster to consult [[Teletraan I (G1)|Teletraan I]], the pair were approached by a Dancitron promoter, who handed them free tickets to the club. They dashed to the club, where Rocksteady immediately eschewed any investigation in favor of hitting the dance floor. Unfortunately the secret of the club was that [[Starscream (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Starscream]] and [[Soundwave (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Soundwave]] were using music to hypnotize the patrons, and Poplock and Rocksteady soon succumbed. When Tracks arrived, the duo led him straight to the hands of the Decepticons. A follow up attempt to get Raoul hypnotized backfired when he threw water over the pair, breaking the hypnotic spell.

The Bop Crew quickly freed Tracks, and jumped in as the [[Autobot]] pursued Starscream in his vehicle mode. After being rattled around Tracks's car interior, they watched Blaster demolish the building which the Decepticons had been constructing using hypnotized humans. Afterward, they requested Blaster's services as a replacement for their lost boombox, and resumed break-dancing. {{storylink|Auto-Bop}}

*[[Wikipedia:Rocksteady|Rocksteady]] is a music genre originating in Jamaica. It was popular in the '60s, which probably makes it a tragically unhip nickname for someone in the '80s.

Poplock and his friends Raoul and [[Rocksteady]] were break-dancing outside the [[Dancitron]] when they were approached by a group of goons sent by the club to rough them up. As the trio fled, Poplock was skeptical that Raoul knew the [[Autobot]]s, until they almost literally ran into [[Tracks (G1)|Tracks]] and [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]]. The two Autobots took care of the thugs and let the Bop Crew fill them in on events so far. Afterward, the trio took the elevated train, only for the hypnotized driver to send it running out of control. They were saved once again by Tracks and Blaster, who had discovered something odd going on at the Dancitron.

Poplock and Rocksteady were left with Blaster, while Raoul and Tracks went back to investigate the club, much to Poplock's envy. As they waited for Blaster to consult [[Teletraan I (G1)|Teletraan I]], the pair were approached by a Dancitron promoter, offering them free tickets to the club, and Poplock saw their chance to prove their worth to Raoul and the Autobots. Unfortunately when they got to the club, they both fell victim to the hypnotizing music which [[Starscream (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Starscream]] and [[Soundwave (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Soundwave]] were using to turn the club patrons into a willing workforce. By the time Tracks arrived, the duo led him into a Decepticon trap. They attempted to get Raoul hypnotized as well, but he threw a bucket of water over them, breaking their hypnotic trance.

Once the Bop Crew had freed Tracks, they jumped into his vehicle mode before he pursued Starscream over the city. The Decepticon was soon driven off, and they watched Blaster demolish the building which the human workforce had been constructing. While [[Spike Witwicky (G1)|Spike]] recovered from a serious operation, one that left his mind in the body of [[Autobot X]], he watched a movie on [[Teletraan I (G1)|Teletraan I]]. The movie featured one Dr. Frankenstein's attempt to create life. Though a hunched creature warned him that he was creating a [[Frankenstein's monster|monster]] who would destroy them all, the good doctor chose to proceed with his attempt.
