:The Zarak Shield is a Decepticon weapon from the Headmasters portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Zarak Shield is the ultimate weapon of Decepticon Headmaster leader Scorponok, created specifically to counter the power of Fortress Maximus's Master Sword.

Fiction
The Headmasters animated series
With his weak spot having been exposed, forcing him to retreat from Earth, I Risk My Life for Earth Scorponok returned to planet Master in order to exploit it's super-science to create a weapon to protect him. While burrowing beneath the surface of the planet, his Transtector's sensors detected the ore necessary to create the super-durable G-Metal, but even this on its own would not be enough to stand up to the Master Sword. He proceeded to have Sixshot capture one of the scientists who had worked on the sword's construction, Jack, and torture him for information, but when that failed, he kidnapped Wheelie and ransomed him off for the sword's secrets. The Master Sword Is in Danger!! With this information now in his hands, Scorponok was able to create the Zarak Shield, which proved powerful enough to deflect the Master Sword when they first met in combat. Operation: Destroy the Decepticons

Returning to Earth, Scorponok set in motion a plan to destroy the planet, culminating in a massive battle at the North Pole. There, he was defeated and the Zarak Shield destroyed by Fortress Maximus, who was super-charged with the combined energy of the Autobot army. The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 2)

TransTech
The Zarak Shield was somehow snatched out of its home universe before its destruction and converted into a desk by the artist Bricolo and purchased by Ego, a collector of multiversal artifacts. I, Lowtech
:The arm-shield included with the Scorponok toy is not explicitly the Zarak Shield, but we can pretend.

Onboard computers are computers which are internalized within a Transformer, and assist them in maintaining their structures.

Fiction
Beast Wars
Onboard computers controlled a variety of functions, including Transformation. Usually, the activation code was spoken aloud by the Transformer in question, but they could activate it internally. Beast Wars (Part 1)

Onboard computers also controlled scans, diagnostics Power Surge and initiating stasis lock. The last component could be overridden, but it was at the Transformer's own risk. Code of Hero

Predacon and Maximal onboard computers were differently voiced; the Predacons' had a feminine voice while the Maximal onboard computer was merely effeminate. Dinobot apparently swapped his out at one point, since his own internal computer spoke with the Maximal voice.

The onboard computers may have been linked in some way with the ships used by both sides--on several occasions, the computer voice is clearly coming from the ships themselves rather than as an internal mechanism, and several cases, the Maximal computer voice comes from a stasis pod. The Spark

Beast Machines
After being reformatted into technorganic bodies, the Maximals lost their onboard computers, thus forcing them to find an "emotional still point" to transform. This caused some problems, initially. Master of the House
