'''After the kids discover that the Mini-Cons were cast in the name of Unicron, the Transformers learn the big origin of Unicron. Meanwhile, Sideways attempts to negotiate Unicron's absorption of Optimus, questioning if Optimus is not guilty of enjoying the millennia of conflict.'''

==Synopsis==

Red Alert survives the cave-in that trapped him while he was dropping off the kids at the underground portal to Unicron. Above the ruined landscape, he can see Unicron battle against the combined forces of Autobots, Decepticons, and the giant Mini-Con duplicate of Unicron.

Inside of Unicron, the kids explore, searching for Optimus and Galvatron.

[[Image:Origin-SidewaysUnicroncore.jpg|left|thumb|150px|We really need to stop meeting like this.]]
The two leaders stand in the same chamber of Unicron's core, where the three Mini-Con weapons are plugged into the behemoth. From the core of the monstrosity, Sideways emerges to welcome the two. Through Sideways, Unicron explains how he increased his power by leeching energy from the war between the Autobots and Decepticons that had lasted for so long.

When Galvatron complains that Unicron has become long-winded, Unicron suspends the two leaders in black tentacles, absorbing Galvatron's very essence. Unicron continues to question Optimus's own motives, suspecting that Optimus enjoys the thrill of the conflict.

Outside, Side Swipe blasts open a hole in Unicron's throat, letting a team of fliers inside. The small group of jets fly through the tunnels of Unicron's interior, trying to avoid being destroyed by the shifting terrain, but their efforts to combat Unicron actually feed their enemy the kind of energy that powers him. As soon as his attackers escape out his mouth, he astonishes them by healing all the damage they have inflicted against him.

[[Image:Sshot-arm-512-unicron.jpg|right|thumb|150px|Not a screenshot from Super Metroid.]]
In Unicron's core, High Wire objects to Unicron's deconstruction of Optimus. The Street Action Team approaches the Sideways figure, while outside, the glowing [[Unicron of Light|"Mini-Cron"]] leaks its component Mini-Cons into Unicron. Unicron laughs and reboots the personalities of the Mini-Cons, returning them to their loyal, drone-like state. With the Mini-Cons out of the way, Unicron captures the kids and continues trying to convince Optimus to merge his essence willingly into Unicron.

Rad awakens in his bed, apparently on Earth. After a second, the location blurs into the desert where the Autobots and the Decepticons first battled, where he meets up with Alexis and the other kids. The background shifts again to the part of Unicron that is Galvatron's fantasy of dominance. Alexis uses her own mind to move the kids to a more pleasant delusion, but the kids are still aware of Unicron's devouring of Cybertron. Rad sets out to locate High Wire, but Unicron takes control of the mindscape. Rad's cries for help reawaken High Wire's true, friendly personality.

All the Mini-Cons move against their evil creator, freeing the three Mini-Con weapons. With Unicron disabled, Sideways tries to lash out at High-Wire, but Optimus defeats the shell with the [[Requiem Blaster]]. With Unicron no longer a threat, Galvatron challenges Optimus.
*Sideways/Unicron's explanation that the two are actually different incarnations of the same evil entity doesn't perfectly line up with "[[Chase (episode)|Chase]]", when Sideways expressed fear of Unicron.
*On the other hand, Unicron also says he and the Mini-Cons are "one and the same", despite their clear capacity for independence, so its possible Sideways can be both "a part" of Unicron and still separate enough to feel fear for him.
*Although not explicitly stated, it can be assumed Unicron released the Mini-Cons for the purpose of exacerbating the Autobot/Decepticon conflict. Likewise, this means Sideways' activities on Earth were meant to heighten the conflict.
*The [[Dead End Drone|Dead End drones]] that attack Optimus and Galvatron inside Unicron are referred to by Galvatron as "Laser Pods".
'''Starscream prepares to do whatever it takes to convince Galvatron the threat of Unicron is real.'''

==Detailed Synopsis==
[[Image:Starsmack.jpg|left|200px|thumb|Galvatron blasts Starscream with his rarely seen armpit-laser.]]
Starscream pleads to Galvatron, hoping to convince his leader that the threat of Unicron is real (as Starscream has first hand experience in the beast's bowels) and that perhaps an [[Alliance (episode)|Alliance]] between the [[Autobot]]s and [[Decepticon]]s is the safest course to ensure the survival of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. When Starscream refuses to stop pleading, Galvatron slaps his subordinate into a wall to silence him. The Decepticon leader is confident his military can overcome both the Autobots and Unicron. Starscream continues to stress the danger of Unicron, and Galvatron starts to swing his [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]].

[[Image:Cramp-Starscreamdies.jpg|right|200px|thumb|[[Code of Hero|The rest is... silence]]. Well, [[Energon (cartoon)|not really]], but don't you kinda wish it was?]]
The Autobots are still optimistic, believing there's a chance a diplomatic conference could lead to a truce between the two sides. Which means the Autobots can't take aggressive action against the Decepticons, only defensive. Megatron, armed with the Star Saber and Tidal Wave, flies into battle, ready to negotiate with Prime using firepower. Prime responds by combining with Jetfire and Overload and heading away from the thick of the battle.

By a [[Megatron statue (Armada)|monolithic statue of Megatron]], Starscream wonders who is he is and what he needs to do. Alexis' words of encouragement run through his head.

Away from the armies, Galvatron and Optimus send their men away, leaving the two leaders to battle one on one. Through the battle, Galvatron admits that he still considers Unicron to be an Autobot hoax, and with the Star Saber, he has the upper hand against Prime. As soon as Megatron breaks Prime's metal, an explosion disturbs the showdown. Starscream walks from the smoke.

The rest of the Autobots are struggling to hold their ground, unable to cause any real damage to the Decepticons. Alexis has faith that things will be okay. Thousands of miles away, Unicron's lunar shell peels off and the behemoth attacks the assembled Mini-Con cluster.

[[Image:Cramp-Swindleejects.jpg|left|175px|thumb]]
Starscream quits the Decepticons and challenges Galvatron to one-on-one combat. The two clash, quickly cutting into each other. Starscream displays a show of skill beyond the last time he battled Megatron. Lightning from Unicron carves into the landscape, but the two warriors ignore the weather and continue their struggle. But in an instant, the Star Saber plunges into Starscream's torso, and the impaled Decepticon falls.

Lying with the blade sticking out of him, Starscream speaks earnestly to Galvatron, pointing out that it was Megatron's own arrogance that drove the situation to be what it is. Despite his injury, Starscream stands up and reiterates his wishes for a truce between the two Cybertronian factions against Unicron. His final wish said, Starscream joins with his Mini-Con to fire his Proton cannons upwards at Unicron. Unicron fires back, disintegrating Starscream.

[[Image:Cramp-AlexismournsStarscream.jpg|left|175px|thumb| I never got to tell Starscream that I love him!!!]]
Galvatron remembers all the experiences he had with Starscream, and finally decides to join forces with Optimus.... BUT from the crater Starscream died in, a dark cloud emerges and grabs the Star Saber! The cloud forms into Sideways, who escapes the two leaders and escapes through the underground portal, making sure to collapse them so he can't be followed.

Aboard the ''[[Axalon (Armada)|Axalon]]'', Alexis's [[Good Luck Necklace|luck charm]] breaks, and she runs outside to look out the window just to see Starscream's laser blast fade away. Hearing news of Starscream's death over the video screen, the kids become sad, most notably Alexis, who begins crying. She runs out of the room and slams her fist on the window that displays Unicron, in grief. When Rad appears behind her, she smacks his shoulders with her hands, asking why Starscream would do that. Rad does his best to try and console her.{{-}}
* Optimus calls Starscream's Mini-Con Swindle instead of Zapmaster. So logically, this means that Swindle received a color-change like Starscream did (instead of Starscream exchanging his Mini-Con for a new one in different colors).
* Starscream's photon cannon blasts don't even make it all the way up to Unicron. You can see them dissipate before Alexis's eyes before they reach him. Most heart-wrenching suicide ever?

===Differences with ''Micron Legend''===
[[Image:Cramp - no ML title card.JPG|right|thumb|250px|Foreshadowing? Why, no!]]
* In earlier episodes of ''Micron Legend'', the title card usually shows up with Optimus against a white background. In this episode, there's no title card. Instead, the title shows up over Starscream.

===Animation/technical glitches===
* In the first scene of the episode, Demolishor has four fingers and one thumb on each hand.

===Transformers references===
* Starscream's death by crumbling into a pile of debris is very similar to the death scene of ''Generation 1'' [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream's]] in ''[[The Transformers: The Movie]]''.

* Bizarrely, Starscream's death "defending" ''a'' Galvatron from Unicron has parallels with the death that ''Generation 1'' [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] (untruthfully) claims to have suffered during the ''Beast Wars'' episode "[[Possession]]". In fact, in the flashback scene of G1 Starscream's fictitious death in "Possession", Starscream perishes from an energy blast emitted from Unicron, vaguely similar to how his Armada counterpart is disintegrated by the planet-eater.

===Real-world references===
* Fred's "The horror!" line is from ''[[Wikipedia:Heart of Darkness|Heart of Darkness]]'', the novel adapted into the film ''[[Wikipedia:Apocalypse Now|Apocalypse Now]]''.

* Megatron gives Starscream one last chance not to fight, and when Starscream declines, Megatron's, "Is that your final answer?" line might be a reference to ''[[Wikipedia:Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"|Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?]]''.

===Miscellaneous trivia===
* The English-language version of "Cramp" first aired in the United Kingdom on the [[Wikipedia:Sky1|Sky One]] channel, at the time the network was running a round-the-clock promotion of American magician/"endurance artist" [[Wikipedia:David Blaine|David Blaine]]'s controversial London stunt, complete with an obnoxious '''DAVID BLAINE''' on-screen overlay.
*The Star Saber is significantly weaker than usual in this episode. Optimus Prime blocked it with his hands and Starscream blocked it with his sword.
*Similarly, Tidal Wave is also significantly smaller and weaker than previously depicted. Jetfire, shown not much smaller than Tidal Wave, in a single movement, shoulder-blocks and lifts off with him.
'''Everybody's hunt for Thrust leads to the revelation of the truth behind the Mini-Cons.'''

==Synopsis==
[[Image:Screenshot-arm-47-1.jpg|left|175px|thumb|It's a very "Gundam" moment.]]
With Thrust gone, Galvatron orders Demolishor to find the traitorous [[Decepticon]] who stole both the Skyboom Shield and the Requiem Blaster. He disregards the [[Autobot|Autobots]]' activities and commands all his resources to hunt Thrust down. Wheeljack and Hot Shot are already on Thrust's trail.

Meanwhile, the Autobots are having difficulty getting the soldiers to withdraw from their fortifications. The soldiers are reluctant to let the threat of [[Unicron]] trivialize all the work they've done to try to take back the planet.

[[Image:Screenshot-arm-47-2.jpg|right|175px|thumb|This is when fanfics happen.]]
Carlos walks in on Rad having a shower. Rad considers how much of a major difference in their lives it made to meet the Mini-Cons, and he speculates it might have been part of a larger design, based on a strange feeling he might have met High Wire in the past. Carlos dismisses the theory entirely.

[[Image:Screenshot-arm-47-3.jpg|left|175px|thumb|I, too, hide from giant, feminine people with man voices.]]
Hot Shot and Wheeljack radio the news about Thrust to Optimus, and High Wire sees on the video that the tunnels the two Autobots are venturing through are the same tunnels where the Mini-Cons were created. After disconnecting, Hot Shot and Wheeljack also notice the suspicious organic nature of the caverns. Starscream also hounds Thrust on his own. The three kids, donning their color-coded space suits, also head to the same tunnels, guided by Rad's gut instinct.

The first to locate Thrust is Starscream, so Thrust offers Starscream a job under Unicron. Starscream declines the offer and then he hears Alexis call out his name, indicating the kids have arrived. Noticing the kids, Thrust points the Requiem Blaster at them, threatening to shoot. Starscream attempts to stop him, but Thrust turns back to him and fires a shot from the Requiem Blaster, blowing Starscream into the distance. Alexis calls out his name in fear and in the blaze of light from the blast...

:''A younger Rad awakens on his mother's lap in the family car. Rad inquires about where the Transformers are, but the parents dismiss his ramblings. High Wire's voice calls Rad's consciousness to another point in time.''

[[Image:Screenshot-arm-47-4.jpg|right|175px|thumb|Bradley's mom has got it goin' on.]]
:''In mysteriously colorful caves, the three kids see Hot Shot's body strapped to the terrain. Hot Shot doesn't identify the kids, but just mentions that the Mini-Cons were created by Unicron's cells. He brings their attention to other Transformers, lying dormant and embedded into the walls of the mysterious cavern, even the Decepticons. As Rad deduces that he and his friends have gone millions of years into the past, Alexis is creeped out. Hot Shot's body begins to be absorbed into the cavern, and there's another flash of time.''

:''The three kids witness several Mini-Cons emerge from glowing eggs, knowing they're watching the Mini-Cons being created by Unicron. Rad sees High Wire, but when he tries to speak to his friend, all he receives is a mind's glimpse at Unicron. Rad, creating a kind of grandfather paradox, instructs the Mini-Cons to find their way to Earth. High Wire reads a few images of Earth from Rad's mind.''

Starscream's life is saved by time reversing just a bit as the kids' minds return to the present. Seizing the second chance, the Street Action Team combine and save Starscream's life, giving him a brief window to get close enough to be in no danger from the Requiem Blaster. An upwards shot alerts the two exploring Autobots to the location of the battle and brings the cavern down, letting Thrust get away while Starscream protects the children.

Once the debris from the cavern stops falling, Alexis thanks Starscream. He smiles warmly at her and takes off after Thrust, continuing his hunt. High Wire speaks with Rad, validating Rad's theory that he had met the Mini-Cons before meeting on Earth. Hot Shot and Wheeljack arrive and are astounded to hear what Hot Shot had told the kids millions of years before.
==Quotes==
'''Hoist''': Sacrifices or not, an order is an order.<br>
'''Generic Autobot''': Oh, really? Tsk. Then what about all the commands we've had up until now? We've followed them to the letter. How many soldiers do you think we sacrificed to keep these positions from the Decepticons? And now you want us to pull out? You want us to hand this place over to the enemy? All the battles up 'til now were just a waste? Why don't you explain THAT to me, huh?<br>
'''Scavenger''': It's an order from Optimus, our commander himself.<br>
'''Generic Autobot''': Hn, stupid. Autobots, get your gear together, we've been ordered to retreat. Round up the equipment, we're clearing out.<br>
'''Hoist''': This is ridiculous.
:—Dissension in the ranks.

"Be careful, Hot Shot! I almost bought the big one here!"<br>
"Aw, it's not too bad." ''[falls down hole]''
:—'''Wheeljack'''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s warning goes ignored by '''Hot Shot''', to the latter's peril.

"Who would have thought the Mini-Cons were created by Unicron's cells?"
:—'''Past Hot Shot''' spoils the show's big twist for anyone waiting to see it.

"So much for evolution, but one time we were told we could use them. But instead, we were the ones who were being used."
:—'''Past Hot Shot''' savors the irony.

==Notes==
===Differences with ''Micron Legend''===
===Animation or technical errors===
*When the kids see the dead Transformers in the alternate world, Optimus is correctly shown in his Cybertronian form (since he never came to Earth), but his chest is colored white instead of red. Megatron, meanwhile, is shown in his Cybertronian body in the long shot, but in the close up is drawn according to his Earth model.

===Continuity errors===
*The dialogue in the recap at the start of the episode doesn't match that of the same events shown in [[Dash (episode)|the previous episode]].
*If the Autobots had [[Depart|no intention of bringing the humans along]] when building the Axalon, and only acquiesced at the last moment, why is there a human-sized shower on board?

===Trivia===
*The Autobot arguing with Hoist has [[Lander]]'s character model with a different color scheme.
*[[Metalhawk]]'s character model, minus the wings, turns up as one of the Decepticons searching for the kids.
*The scene with Hot Shot and the other Transformers, despite Rad's understanding they've gone into the past, makes more sense as having gone into an alternate-timeline present where he never interacted with High Wire in the next scene/on Earth, considering Hot Shot references the Mini-Cons as having turned on the Transformers, and if the Transformers were all dead, why were they active in the present, unless they had their memories erased and were reactivated, which would almost make sense considering the way Unicron functions but my god I've gone cross-eyed.
*This episode marks the first time Starscream and Alexis meet after he rejoined the Decepticons.

'''Everybody's hunt for Thrust leads to the revelation of the truth behind the Mini-Cons.'''

==Synopsis==

'''Hot Shot goes on a solo mission to convince Galvatron that the Autobots and Decepticons should fight to stop Unicron.'''

==Detailed synopsis==
On [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], Galvatron and Thrust command the rest of the [[Decepticon|Decepticons]] not to pay any attention to the black hole outside and to disregard the [[Autobot|Autobots]]' offer for a collaborative effort against it. Away from the rest of the Decepticons, Thrust cackles at how he's manipulating both armies.

The Autobots wait, impatient and tense. The kids aboard the ship feel depressed as they watch the combat lights on Cybertron's surface. Hot Shot passes them, on his way to personally charge into the Decepticons' stronghold and reason with Galvatron. The kids and Red Alert do their best to dissuade him - but Rad realizes that everybody should let Hot Shot go and convinces the others that it's the best idea.

Once Hot Shot is gone, the rest of the Autobots fly to assist Jetfire but come under attack. The [[Mini-Con|Mini-Cons]] assist by forming several holographic copies of the ship to distract the Decepticons.

Fully armed, Hot Shot takes a small craft and buzzes through the Decepticon's defenses to their front door. He motors around their base, passing plenty of opposition. Eventually, Wheeljack arrives to fight Hot Shot one-on-one. The rumble between the two carries into the Decepticons' throne room, where Thrust was seconds away from receiving the [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]] from Megatron.

Wheeljack tries to convince Galvatron to listen to Hot Shot's message, and Wheeljack's compassion convinces Galvatron to open his ears. As Hot Shot explains Unicron, Galvatron notices Thrust panicking and connects the sudden presence of Unicron to the [[Hydra Cannon]]'s un-Cybertronian technology. Starscream pipes up, mentioning that Thrust has been conspiring against Galvatron. With his plans exposed, Thrust grabs the [[Requiem Blaster]] and the [[Skyboom (Armada)|Skyboom Shield]] and reveals that he's been working in the service of [[Unicron]], then he runs away. Starscream, Hot Shot, and Wheeljack chase after the traitor.

"I wonder what's gonna happen now."<br>
"Stressful times like these call for large quantities of comfort food."

'''Hot Shot:''' "This is a message to the great Galvatron, general of the Decepticon army. The Autobots and Decepticons have fought against one another... for a long time. But there is another enemy that we both must be concerned about. The Mini-Cons have shown us that we all share a common foe: the one called Unicron."<br>
'''Thrust:''' "Ah, not more of that Unicron nonsense!"<br>
'''Galvatron (to Thrust):''' "I'm growing tired of listening to your drivel."<br>
'''Galvatron (to Hot Shot):''' "You may go ahead and finish what you were saying. Now you won't be interrupted again. So just who is this Unicron?"<br>
'''Hot Shot:''' "He's the one who's responsible for creating the black hole. Somehow the Mini-Cons learned about the existence of Unicron, and began to prepare for an attack a long time ago."
:—'''Galvatron''' proves he has a lot more sense than his [[Galvatron (G1)|namesake]].
'''Demolishor:''' "Don't ask me, ask the big guy."<br>
'''Tidal Wave:''' "Who knows?"<br>
:—A fine example of why it's so hard to get good Decepticon help these days.

"Galvatron, you were never worthy of controlling the Transformers. I've got news for you: You're nothing compared to my true master, Unicron!"
:—'''Thrust''' declares his true allegiance
==Notes==
===Differences with ''Micron Legend''===
===Animation and/or technical glitches===
* In the fifth shot, Demolishor has an Autobot logo, albeit in purple.
* The second time Jetfire radios the rest of the Autobots, he's colored like Optimus.
* The Decepticons' starship officers refer to the ''Axalon'' as the "Cybertron ship" as a general description, Cybertron being the Japanese name for the Autobots.
* In one shot, Wheeljack's Autobot insignia is colored purple.
* When Thrust declares his true loyalty to Unicron, he initially appears without the Requiem Blaster and the Skyboom Shield he grabbed moments before, instead holding one of his missile launchers (which are also missing from his legs). They appear subsequently after a reaction shot of Galvatron.
* After the Decepticons are all blown away by Thrust's spinning wings attack, the spinning animation has disappeared and he merely fades away instead of being animated running away (which is how he is shown to be escaping moments later)
* Though the [[character model]] of ''Generation 1'' Decepticon [[Misfire]] also appears as a Decepticon weapons officer in the blockade fleet, he later appears in different colours, missing half of his cockpit backpack as an Autobot questioning Optimus Prime's orders for a withdrawal.
* Scavenger calls Optimus Prime the commander of the 'Cybertron' army, yet another case of the dubbing team not translating instances of 'Cybertron' (the faction) into 'Autobot'.

===Continuity errors===
* It is unclear how Wheeljack's missile/guns/sword things are able to withstand the power of the Star Saber when he saves Hot Shot from Galvatron's enraged attack.
*Red Alert agrees to "cover for" Hot Shot when the latter is planning to make an unauthorized mission to Galvatron on Cybertron. The very next scene sees Hoist describing, in precise detail, the events of the previous scene, while Hot Shot has barely cleared the Axalon. Apparently Red Alert's definition of "cover for" is "run and tell everyone that".
*In the same sequences, when Scavenger insists that Hot Shot "can take care of himself", the kids, including Rad, get upset and urge the other Autobots follow him and back him up. This, in spite of the fact that Rad said ''exactly the same thing'' only moments ago to convince the other kids and Red Alert into letting Hot Shot go in the first place. Erratic tween emotions or bipolar script writers? You decide.

===Miscellaneous trivia===
*The Decepticon starship crew attacking the [[Axalon (Armada)|''Axalon'']] use recoloured character models of ''Generation 1'' Decepticons Misfire and [[Weirdwolf]].
*This episode depicts the only use of Thrust's toy spinning wings gimmick, though he activates it independently of his Mini-Con [[Inferno (Armada)|Inferno]].
'''The Autobots arrive on Cybertron to find Galvatron has already conquered it, but a larger evil still approaches.'''

==Synopsis==
As [[Megatron (Armada)|Galvatron]]'s ship reaches [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], a fleet of ships rises from the surface of the planet to meet it. Using the [[Mini-Con]] weapons, the [[Decepticon]] leader is easily able to take down two of the ships, and he sends his men to the surface of the planet to engage the [[Autobot|Autobots]] below in combat. Although [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] hesitates, believing Galvatron will steal all the glory, [[Thrust (Armada)|Thrust]] says simply to follow his lead and the universe will be theirs.

Meanwhile, the Autobots are struggling to repair their ship after the damage it sustained during the last clash with the Decepticons. The kids worry that they're sitting ducks should the Decepticons decide to come back. Although [[Blurr (Armada)|Blurr]]'s calculations suggest that the heaviest fighting will be in the north of Cybertron, [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus]] decides they'll set down in the south rather than going into battle immediately. With the drive finally repaired, they hit warp.

From space, Cybertron looks deserted. [[High Wire (Armada)|High Wire]], [[Grindor (Armada)|Grindor]] and [[Sureshock (Armada)|Sureshock]] suddenly become excited and jump out an airlock, closely followed by [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]]. The boy watches as, cloaked in balls of green light, the swarm of Mini-Cons all begin to come together. Blurr intercepts Carlos. On the ship, the kids realise the Mini-Cons are forming a shield of some sort while what appears to be a black hole hangs menacingly in space. [[Alexis]] believes that this means [[Unicron]] is coming. Optimus and [[Jetfire (Armada)|Jetfire]] merge and go to talk to High Wire. A phantasm of [[Sideways (RID)|Sideways]] appears and is fired on by the Mini-Cons. After telling the Mini-Cons to get lost, the apparition promptly disappears again.

The Decepticons realise that Optimus's group of Autobots have arrived.

The kids and the Autobots discuss the impending arrival of Unicron and the situation on Cybertron. Though the Autobots want to mount a single surprise attack, Optimus believes that a more dispersed attack is required. They touch down individually in pods to find a ruined landscape, and begin searching for survivors. Optimus and Jetfire soon run into trouble in the form of Galvatron and his men. Starscream and Thrust hang back above the fight. With the two Autobots pinned down, Optimus contacts the [[Axalon (Armada)|''Axalon'']] and orders the launch of [[Overload (Armada)|Overload]]. [[Side Swipe (Armada)|Side Swipe]] is hesitant, as it will leave the ship and Mini-Cons unprotected, but Red Alert reminds him it's an order. Optimus powerlinks with Overload and begins blasting the Decepticons.

Elsewhere, the other Autobots are fighting more Decepticons while searching for Autobot survivors. Autobot ships begin rising out of the ground and opening fire on the Decepticon fleet.

The kids on the ''Axalon'' realise their Mini-Cons have gone missing again and intercept the trio at the airlock, ready to go out and join the battle. Carlos is opposed to it, but the other kids feel that the Mini-Cons have a right to go out and fight for their home planet.

Galvatron and Optimus meet in one-on-one battle, but Optimus tells his foe of the oncoming danger going by the name of Unicron. Galvatron doesn't believe him, naturally, but the discussion is momentary interrupted by the ground quaking and a chunk of building almost hitting the Decepticon leader. Optimus points dramatically to the sky at the black hole. Chunks of ground begin floating upwards. Soon the debris and even the ships hanging in the sky begin to be sucked towards the black hole.

Thrust gloats that the plan is coming together, much to Starscream's confusion. Soon they notice a new activity: The Mini-Cons begin to pour into the black hole. More Mini-Cons reinforce the shield, and energy begins to rain down on Cybertron. The voice of the Mini-Cons implores for the fighting to stop.

Galvatron is still skeptical of Optimus, even when [[Demolishor (Armada)|Demolishor]] reports that the Mini-Cons have driven off whatever was attacking the planet, but he calls a retreat. Optimus orders the Autobots back to the ''Axalon''. Thrust observes that the Mini-Cons have stopped their attack on the black hole.

Sideways swears that the Mini-Cons will pay for their attack.

The kids and Autobots thank the Mini-Cons, but High Wire says that Unicron will be back, and the Mini-Cons will protect them again.

Galvatron still thinks Unicron is just an Autobot trick. Thrust muses that this foolish belief will make things much easier for his true master.

'''The Autobots arrive on Cybertron to find Galvatron has already conquered it, but a larger evil still approaches.'''

==Synopsis==

'''Autobots and Decepticons land on a mysterious planet where there's an evil version of Optimus.'''

==Synopsis==
On the bridge of [[Hydra Cannon|his ship]], Megatron blogs to himself about how happy he is that Optimus is alive again, which confuses his minions.

On top of the hull of the ''[[Axalon (Armada)|Axalon]]'', Optimus gets reintroduced to his crew, and the [[Mini-Con]]s escorting the ship. But the welcoming party is cut short by an electrical space anomaly that suddenly appeared in the ship's path. Hot Shot and Red Alert are pulled into the hole, which fades away.

On a strange alien landscape, Hot Shot and Red Alert reawaken. Red Alert quickly acts responsibly and sends a beacon to the Autobot ship. Next, the two survey the irregular terrain they arrived in. A dark copy of Optimus Prime assaults and chases the two.

Elsewhere, the [[Decepticon]]s begin their hunt on the planet for their enemies. Their attention is brought to the noise of the Autobots' fight. The three Decepticons transform to assist the black scourge who introduces himself as Nemesis Prime. Using an amazing ability to alter his own shape, Nemesis Prime turns on Megatron, holding the Decepticon leader in the air.

The Decepticons and Autobots both fight against Nemesis Prime, but the battle quickly comes down to Megatron resorting to the use of the [[Requiem Blaster]]. The resulting explosion destroys the Prime-doppleganger and damages the Autobots.

In space, the Mini-Cons guide the Autobot ship to the planet with their two missing friends.

Megatron prepares to finish off both Autobots. Starscream interjects, suggesting using the Autobots as captives. Megatron buys Starscream's disguised compassion. Nemesis Prime re-forms from fragments on the ground and battles the Decepticons again, this time with [[Vorpal Saber|a sword]], but the arrival of Mini-Cons takes the menace down. Before they leave again, the Mini-Cons bathe the gathered bulks in energy, repairing them and giving the large Transformers as well as themselves [[spontaneous recoloration|new colors]] and a boost in power.

The ''Axalon'' arrives over the planet, dropping Optimus and Overload onto the surface. A giant Nemesis Prime emerges from the ground for a third attempt at destroying the Transformers. When Optimus and Megatron combine their ordnance, the creature finally dies, revealing a brief transparent image of [[Sideways (RID)|Sideways]] before vanishing. With Nemesis Prime destroyed, the planet begins to disintegrate, and so the Autobots and Decepticons return to their ships and continue on their voyage to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]].
===Differences with ''Micron Legend''===

*Starscream, upon gaining his super mode, just wonders what is up with the different colours on his mode. He makes no references to Thundercracker.

===Animation and/or technical glitches===
*Due to its use of stock footage, Tidal Wave's sudden appearance to combine with Megatron depicts blue (ie: Earth) skies behind him rather than the green skies of the strange planet.

===Continuity errors===
* None known.
===Real-world references===
* None known.

===Miscellaneous trivia===
*Jetfire only appears in a single wide shot of the bridge that is reused several times throughout the episode. He has no dialogue.
*The intro to the episode has a unique narration that mentions the kids, which flows into a recap of [[Miracle|the last episode]].
*Nemesis Prime has a trailer in the animation, the toy does not.
*Why couldn't Prime have arrived on the planet seconds before the Mini-Con and received his [[Powerlinx]] colors like the rest of the Transformers with Powerlinx colors? Only Stephen Colbert knows, and he's not telling.
*Thrust and Cyclonus also had Powerlinx colorations that were never used in the series.
*Overload's sudden appearance was on the "to-do" list of things to be explained in the [[Linkage (comic)|Linkage]] series, but there was never time for it. So all we can infer is that it's a big weapon set that for whatever reason Prime was unable to bring to battle before.
'''Autobots wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons... IN SPAAAAAACE!!!'''

==Synopsis==
[[Image:Sshot-arm-42-1.jpg|right|150px|thumb|So first [[:Image:Sshot-arm-39-3.jpg|this]] happens, and then nine months later, a Prime pops out like this.]]
Aboard the [[Autobot]] spaceship [[Axalon (Armada)|Axalon]], Alexis and her friends look back on Earth as they head towards Cybertron. Fred eats some chocolate and Billy cries that he forgot his video camera. On the bridge, Hot Shot and the Autobots salute Earth and the memory of Optimus Prime.

On the [[Hydra Cannon|Decepticons' ship]], Megatron orders the ship to be turned around so the Autobots can be destroyed.

Sparkplug, still holding Prime's [[Matrix of Leadership|Matrix]], meets with several Mini-Cons. Moments later, hundreds of glowing lights swarm around the Autobot ship. High Wire - in English - introduces the lights as Mini-Con friends. After the swarm of Minis are introduced, the [[Street Action Mini-Con Team]] trigger a flashback in the humans to [[Chase (episode)|that time they saw a big evil in cyberspace]]. High Wire names the evil [[Unicron]].

Blurr tries to pilot the Axalon through an asteroid field. In the thick of the space debris, the Decepticons start their attack. Alexis notices the Mini-Cons also running to help the Autobots in the battle. Thrust fights against Jetfire, Cyclonus fights against Blurr, and Starscream and Hot Shot continue their long-standing grudge. Scavenger erotically battles against Demolishor. Megatron easily overpowers Side Swipe.

When Megatron aims the [[Requiem Blaster]] at the Axalon, Hot Shot stands in his way. Meanwhile, on the Axalon's hull, Perceptor and Sparkplug present The Matrix to the swarm of their gathered friends. Several Mini-Cons plunge into the Matrix, where something begins to take shape.

Megatron degrades Hot Shot, but a large sphere of green light swoops around and knocks Megatron aside. To everybody's astonishment, Optimus stands alive. With a Max Flare, Optimus ruins the Decepticon's attack. At the end of the episode, Megatron is glad that Optimus is back.
'''The Autobots prepare to return to Cybertron, joined — having acquiesced to the demands of Perceptor and the other Mini-Cons — by the kids.'''

==Synopsis==
[[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] addresses the [[Mini-Con|Mini-Cons]] collected by the [[Autobot|Autobots]] so far, announcing that they're soon going to leave for [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. The kids observe how unsure of himself the Autobot is, as he invites the Mini-Cons to decide whether they want to come or not. [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] wants to go to Cybertron too. [[Rad White|Rad]] follows [[High Wire (Armada)|High Wire]], who unexpectedly tells him in English to stay on Earth. After Rad reacts in surprise to this, High Wire beeps and wanders off, leaving the boy to wonder if he imagined it after all.

Rad has breakfast with his parents and asks his father if he ever wanted to go into space. Rad's mother seems more concerned with them finishing their breakfast. At base, the Autobots and Mini-Cons are preparing the spaceship for lift off. [[Billy (Armada)|Billy]] and [[Fred (Armada)|Fred]] arrive with luggage, only to be disappointed when Red Alert informs them they won't be able to come along. The other three kids watch, glumly reflecting that most likely they won't be able to come along either.

[[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] expresses dissatisfaction that they haven't made much progress towards Cybertron, but [[Thrust (Armada)|Thrust]] says they have to escape Earth's gravitational pull before they go to warp.

That night, Rad wakes his parents to explain to them about the Autobots and Decepticons, and is told to go back to bed. He dreams of the Autobot ship under attack, and High Wire asking him for help. On waking abruptly, his father comes in to chat, confiding that when he was Rad's age, he dreamed of going into space too. He also gives Rad permission to go to Cybertron, but only if Rad promises to come back.

The next morning sees Rad interrupting Carlos brushing his teeth. Carlos is already packed, and the pair meet up with [[Alexis]], also all packed, on their way to the Autobot base.

Hot Shot asks the Mini-Cons to step forward if they're coming to Cybertron, and they all volunteer to go. The kids arrive too, but Hot Shot refuses to let them go. Reacting to this, the [[Street Action Mini-Con Team]] combine into [[Perceptor (Armada)|Perceptor]] and begin making a strange whistling noise. The Mini-Cons start running out of the room. Red Alert, prepping the ship for launch, is surprised when the Mini-Cons storm in and block all the control panels on the bridge. While the Autobots are confused, Perceptor announces that the humans should come too. [[Side Swipe (Armada)|Side Swipe]] suggests taking the kids somewhere safe, but the Mini-Cons start whistling until Hot Shot capitulates.

Billy and Fred turn up while everyone is piling into the ship, and Hot Shot resigns himself to letting them come along too. Once everything is ready, the ship, dubbed the [[Axalon (Armada)|Axalon]], moves along an underwater corridor to a nearby lake, where it lifts off. The kids rush to a window to see Earth from space.

The Decepticons detect the Autobot ship leaving Earth. Thrust laments that their superior engines will enable them to pass the Decepticon ship and reach Cybertron first.
Oh, and if you decide to stay back here on Earth, that's okay, too."<br>
:—'''Hot Shot''' is the best Autobot leader ever.
"Ah, but now those are just childhood memories for me. Memories of when I let my imagination run wild and the world was filled with endless possibilities."<br>
===Animation and/or technical glitches===
*More short cuts are employed in a few shots to depict the huge number of Mini-Cons amassed by the Autobots so far, at one point making it look like they've assembled into colour-coordinated lines.
===Continuity errors===
===Miscellaneous trivia===
*This episode features an entirely new title sequence, which unfortunately spoils the return of Optimus Prime, and "[[The Unicron Battles]]" is appended as a subtitle.
*Two days travel, and the Decepticons are still in scanner range of Earth? Tell Tidal Wave to pedal faster!
*Rad's father complains about how much of a mess Rad's room is, yet when we see Rad's bedroom floor a moment earlier, there's no sign of the "clutter" his father speaks of.
*Looking out his bathroom window, Carlos asks Rad what he's doing with his backpack on a Saturday. In the next scene, Rad's parents discuss him leaving for school so early. If they have classes on Saturdays, Carlos shouldn't be surprised. If they don't, Rad's parents apparently can't even keep track of what day it is.
'''Autobots wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons... IN SPAAAAAACE!!!'''

==Synopsis==

*This episode debuts several non-toy Mini-Cons with unique designs, who would later get bios from the [[Transformers Collectors' Club]], such as [[Flashbox]].
*Note how Megatron felt incomplete ever since Prime was killed in "[[Crisis]]". [[Afterdeath!|Sounds]] [[Gone but Not Forgotten!|familiar.]]
