Inhumanoids was a short-lived toyline released by Hasbro in 1986. Unusual in that it was named for the villains of the piece, Inhumanoids centred on the scientist-cum-superhero team, Earth Corps, as they protected the world from the threat of the titular subterranean monsters with the aid of the elemental beings known as the Mutores. The series was, alas, not particularly successful, coming to an end after only one year.

As a contemporary of Transformers, Inhumanoids received a similar dual-pronged advertising push, consisting of an animated series produced by Marvel Productions and Sunbow, featuring many voice actors who also worked on Transformers and primarily scripted by Flint Dille, and a comic book series released by Marvel Comics under their "Star Comics" imprint which directly adapted the cartoon. The cartoon began as a seven-minute segment on the "Super Sunday" block, running to fifteen installments that were later combined into a movie, which was then in turn split back into five half-hours and coupled with eight brand-new shows to form a complete season of thirteen half-hour episodes. Distinguished by an unusual art style that involved heavy use of shadow, often gory content, and a narrative structure highly unlike any other American cartoon at the time that saw the end of each episode lead directly into the next, the cartoon forged a connection with the larger "Sunbow universe" of Transformers, G.I. Joe and Jem and the Holograms by featuring the omnipresent Hector Ramirez in his largest role, and indicating that one of the heroes was G.I. Joe's Ace. The comic book, meanwhile, was cancelled after only four issues, ending on a cliffhanger, but was nonetheless reprinted as a back-up strip in Marvel UK's Transformers title, running from #103-118.
In the year 2021, Brandon "Big Boss" Babel freed five Inhumanoids, ancient horrors imprisoned below the surface of the Earth. With the Earth Corps indisposed, only the Ninja Gladiators were able to face these monsters. There are five named Inhumanoids; Tendril, D'Compose, Hojoni, Ssslither, and their ruler Metlar. At least, that was the story of the classic video game Ninja Gladiator, released by Flippy-Floppy Industries in 1987.

President-elect Edward Augutter is known to have driven them off in real life. This didn't stop them from becoming video-game fodder. Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II
The Earth Defense Command has a base operating on Mars. EDC Commander Marissa Faireborn received Blaster's request for assistance to the beleaguered Blurr and Wheelie on Io and lifted off in her spaceship. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 3

The Headmasters cartoon
Having harnessed the plasma energy released when the Transformers' homeworld of Cybertron was destroyed, Decepticon Headmaster leader Scorponok sought to generate and collect more of the energy to fuel his ambitions. To accomplish this, Scorponok plotted the destruction of Mars, and ordered the Terrorcons to plant plasma energy bombs beneath the surface of the planet Mars at strategic points which would, when detonated, rip the planet apart.

The Decepticons' activities were discovered by Spike, Daniel, Wheelie and the Trainbots, who were on Mars conducting a geological survey at the time. The Autobot Headmasters were called in to deal with the threat, but during the battle that ensued, Fortress Maximus was de-powered by a plasma energy blast. {{storylink|Explosion on Mars!!

Scorponok took the opportunity to activate his newly constructed Transtector and travel to Mars where he pummeled Maximus before ordering the planet's destruction. Two clusters of bombs placed at the Martian planetary poles were detonated simultaneously by Soundblaster, beginning a chain reaction that started to tear Mars apart. Scorponok and the Decepticons evacuated while the Autobots were consumed by the inferno, but Fortress Maximus was able to absorb some of the energy released in the early stages of the conflagration and made his escape as Mars exploded. Explosion on Mars!! MegaZarak Appears

Incredibly, the destruction of Mars had a minimal impact on the various planetary orbits throughout the Sol system, and the fate of its moon was not divulged, but its absence did disrupt the gravimetric balance of space bridge travel, destabilizing it.

Victory cartoon
Ore acquired from Mars, coupled with ores from Earth and other planets, was used in the creation of Schaeffer Energy. Jean Minakaze happened to be visiting the Schaeffer Energy plant in America as a cargo ship carrying a payload of Martian ore returned from its space mission. Battle Up of Wrath!!

Armada cartoon
Jetfire and Starscream once travelled to Mars in search of the Mini-Con panel containing Firebot. Upon hearing this, the kids asked the two Transformers to buy them something from the souvenir shop. Sadly, as Mars was uninhabited by either human or alien lifeforms, there were no shops to be found. Starscream did however find a mysterious glowing green rock and gave it to the children. They were so happy. Mars (episode)
Ten years after the defeat of Unicron, the Cybertronian Alliance and the Earth Federation installed a facility on the surface of Mars to mine the potent naturally-occurring ore Energon.
Also Tidal Wave was stationed on Mars by the Autobots during the Cybertronian Alliance, to guard the Mini-Cons who were sent there.

A little while later, the survivors of the first attack, Autobot, Decepticon and Mini-Con, made a valiant last stand against a second Terrorcon attack, this time being personally led by Scorponok. Scorpinok

He is responsible for hiring Donny Finkleberg to play the role of "Robot-Master," and has also supervised the activities of the Rapid Anti-robot Assault Team, commonly known as RAAT.

In the wake of escalating Transformer activity, Walter's boss Forrest Forsythe put pressure on him to find a way to stop the rising panic coming from frightened citizens. Rock and Roll-Out! He was present to hear G.B. Blackrock's wild and ludicrous claim that the Transformers were two distinct factions of alien robots, before being sent home to come up with a plausible cover story. Clearly nothing plausible came to mind, as Walter decided instead to steal an idea from his son's Robot Master comic: create a ludicrously dressed supervillain who controls robots as a cover story.

He approached and hired the comic's writer Donny Finkleberg, who not only agreed to help with the scam but even decided to play Robot-Master himself. The scheme worked well enough, until the Decepticons stole Finkleberg I, Robot-Master! and reporter Joy Meadows started investigating the holes in the plot. Walter sat in on the worried meeting, agreeing with the others that their cover story needed to be secure... and showing no qualms at the idea of "silencing" Joy. (Holy crap!) In the National Interest

III failed at the hit. Walter, being the only competent character in the group, was handed control of their new anti-Transformer military wing, RAAT, with Circuit Breaker working for him. RAAT swiftly captured seven Autobots, but Walter had some qualms over Circuit-Breaker's use of force and how the robots didn't appear to have been hostile. Heavy Traffic! His group successfully took custody of an already-inactive Autobot, but soon they faced their greatest menace, graffiti artists. Walter and RAAT's best efforts were as nothing, and victory only came about because Circuit-Breaker cut a deal with the robot prisoners. Part of that deal meant letting them go, and Walter had to fire her for insubordination. Decepticon Graffiti! Barnett's next move was to enlist the help of the army troops under command of General Hadley to destroy the Decepticons who had made their base in a coal mining pit in Wyoming. Megatron alone, though violently off his rocker, forced them into retreat. Gone but Not Forgotten!

Later, an upgraded RAAT began tracking a group of robots; after they were alerted to the robot's position, Walter himself led a squadron to Big Steve's Used Cars to capture them. He was interrupted by two other groups of robots, both pretending to be rival groups and both after the captives. Walter said they'd be destroyed if they got in RAAT's way!

They got in RAAT's way. They weren't destroyed. He also worked out the shocking fact that... the robots really were split into different factions! Because the robots fought each other, Walter's team were able to drive off with the captives; he made sure to pay Big Steve for the tip-off on the way out. Used Autobots Now he had six captives, all of them claiming they were in the "Autobot" faction and knew nothing about the increasing "Decepticon" attacks, and Forsythe breathing down his neck to get results while dismissing anything the robots did say. Walter was under such pressure that he had to work on Sunday!

Back home with his family, he found out that Forsythe was on telly saying the next robot attack would see the captives executed! Walter hurriedly informed his boss that this was an invite for the Decepticons to attack... which they already had. Now desperate and knowing he had to save innocent 'bots, Walter was saved once again by his son's stuff: if he could plant the robot's brain modules into Stevie's toy cars, he could sneak the Autobots to safety! And he did! The Autobot Goldbug advised him to take them to the Autobot's human ally, Buster Witwicky, who agreed to take Walter and the cars to the site of the Autobot base.

Unfortunately, the toy car's batteries were running low and the dynamic duo had to stop at a local mall to buy new ones. More unfortunately, giant fucking robot animals attacked the place to capture the cars! Buster was almost killed by the Decepticon leader until Walter brought a shop security gate down on it. The two were forced to separate, Walter taking the Autobots and Buster making for the robot's base. Buster never made it. Toy Soldiers!

Walter and Forsythe later oversaw a United States Navy assault on the Decepticon's desert island base... only to find Buster there, a human shield. With the op called off, Walter could only phone up Buster's dad to explain the situation. The Desert Island of Space!
Beyond the year 2006, Tommy Kennedy has a lot of school assignments to write. Amazingly, all his school assignments are about the Transformers, so he gets to sit in hellish wastelands with Powermaster Optimus Prime and ask him questions about their past adventures. After not too long, Prime must always hastily leave for some random off-the-cuff excuse, like helping Joyride fix the Space Bridge or to give Grimlock a brain upgrade. Tommy is not lonely in the barren, scorched-earth dust bowl full of wreckage and detritus of the horrors of war, though, because sometimes the Autobot leader leaves music videos for Tommy to watch.
Kennedy was apparently a human resident of Autobot City, where he was both a student and a reporter for the Autobot City News. More than Meets the Eye, Part 1, Dark Awakening Kennedy considered Optimus Prime a close personal friend, and Prime generally seemed to share the feeling, humoring the boy's questions and allowing Kennedy to accompany him on various mundane tasks. The Transformers (cartoon) Although he had a stated dislike for history as an academic discipline, Kennedy was always ready to hear tales of the Transformers' battles on Earth and throughout the galaxy, requests which Prime acquiesced to on a regular basis. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 3
After the SOCCENT Forward Operations Base in Qatar was attacked by unknown hostiles, Keller led a briefing on what they knew to a group of Pentagon-computer technicians, informing them that someone had tried to hack the Defense Network during the attack. Later, when Air Force One was hacked by another unknown hostile, he ordered the President to be placed in the Presidential bunker.

When he was briefed on the possible countries that were capable of such hacks, Maggie Madsen, who had led the team which discovered the second hack, informed him that those countries were incapable of such work. When she suggested that it might be a living organism behind it, Keller told her to find some evidence, or shut up. However, he was later informed that survivors of the base attack were under attack by a hostile. When the Pentagon received video feed, they saw that the hostile was a never before seen creature. After the creature was driven off, Keller ordered the men to be returned to the states and debriefed.

Later, a virus which had been uploaded by the second hacker led to a global communications shutdown. During that time, Tom Banachek arrived from Sector Seven, an organization Keller had never heard of, with orders from the President to brief Keller. Taking him to the briefing room, Banachek showed Keller images of the Mars Beagle 2 Rover. Officially, the rover had crashed and been lost. Unofficially, thirteen seconds of information had been sent before the rover had been destroyed by a humanoid creature. Visibly horrified, Keller was then shown a picture of the Mars alien, as Banachek then compared that with images of the "weapons platform" the SOCCENT survivors had taken before their retreat. When Keller asked if the planet was under threat of invasion, Banachek told him to look out at the static filled screens. Keller ordered the dispatched naval fleets to be returned somehow, and had Madsen brought with him as his advisor, along with her advisor Glen Whitmann.

Taken to Hoover Dam, Keller met with Captain Lennox, CO of the SOCCENT survivors, and informed him that they were doing their best to load all gunships with sabot rounds. Going inside, he was shocked to see a frozen N.B.E.-1, and was very upset that he had never been informed about it. This was made even worse when some kid told them that N.B.E.-1, whose real name was Megatron, was the harbinger of death and planned to turn all of Earth's machines to conquer the galaxy with some device called the All Spark. During a demonstration of the All Spark's power, Agent Simmons brought Glen's Nokia produced cellphone to life, commenting that the Japanese were skilled inventors. When Maggie commented that Nokia was from Finland, Keller reminded her that Simmons was a strange man.

After a Decepticon attacked the Dam and Megatron began to unthaw, Keller accompanied the others to the armory. During the standoff between Agent Simmons and Captain Lennox over releasing the kid's Camaro, Keller advised Simmons to listen to Lennox. After the Camaro shrank the All Spark, Keller, Simmons, Maggie, and Glen went to the archives room, where they attempted to send out a radio signal to support the soldiers taking the cube to Mission City. Sadly, the radio had no microphones, but Glen attempted to connect a computer to the radio. Their efforts were interrupted by a spastic little abomination that had hacked Air Force One. Keller provided cover fire with an old shotgun while Glen worked. Fortunately, the spastic abomination killed itself with one of its own razors. After contact was made, Keller used his authorization codes to send air support to Mission City.

After the Decepticons were destroyed, Keller informed the military that Sector Seven was to be shutdown, and that the Decepticon corpses were to be dropped in the Laurentian Abyss, which Keller said was the deepest place on the planet. Shortly after Megatron's death and the destruction of the All Spark, Simmons, Keller and Banachek were on their way to Mission City when Starscream attacked Hoover Dam. The Reign of Starscream issue 2

A month later, after the Decepticon Wreckage was inadvertently reactivated and rampaged across Sector Seven's Nevada desert facility, Keller called Simmons and informed him that effective immediately, Sector Seven was dissolved and that he had put Captain Lennox in charge of the operation, ending Simmons's employment. Alliance issue 3
* Keller's accent makes it sound like he's calling the robots "robits".
* Keller's appearance in IDW Publishing's Movie Adaptation did not look anything like Jon Voight, and the character was portrayed as a General instead of the Secretary of Defense. The former was due to the fact IDW was not (and still is not) allowed to use the likeness of several actors playing the secondary characters, and it is assumed the latter was due to IDW using an older version of the script.
* According to The AllSpark Almanac 2, Keller became President of the United States at some point and solved world hunger through the Los Bogos Project.
:Cobra Commander is a (more or less) human character from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Whether he's the scion of a bizarre ancient civilization, a former used car salesman driven to the brink of insanity, or a renegade European scientist, Cobra Commander really hates G.I. Joe. As the leader of the ruthless terrorist organization Cobra, he frequently tries (and fails) to take over the world. No matter what maniacal scheme he comes up with, be it raising an island from the sea to form his own independent nation, editing elementary school text books to read pro-Cobra or etching his face onto the moon with a laser, G.I. Joe is there to try and stop him.

Fiction
The Transformers cartoon
:Voice actor: Chris Latta (English), Ryōichi Tanaka (Japanese), Bernd Simon (German)

By the year 2006, the once mighty Cobra organization had apparently been defeated. Cobra Commander, who was the only one of his organization that had not been put in jail, was now going by the alias "Old Snake". He was left with little to do to pass the time but hire out his services. He was an independent contractor—of terror!

A mob boss named Victor Drath had hired Old Snake once in the past, and decided to hire him again to learn the secret of synthoid technology so that he might use it against the Autobots. Snake took the job and used the synthoid technology to craft "human" bodies for Rodimus Prime, Arcee, Springer, and Ultra Magnus, then somehow transferred their minds inside them. Drath planned to then destroy the Autobots' now mindless robot bodies, but Old Snake dissuaded him, noting what excellent weapons they would make.

Eventually, the Autobots managed to return to their original Cybertronian bodies and Victor Drath and his gang were arrested. However, Snake managed to escape capture.

After watching Drath and his gang get hauled away, Old Snake walked into the sunset. He mused to himself that "they just don't make terrorists like they used to", and began shouting the old Cobra battlecry to the heavens, perhaps for old times' sake.

He was, unfortunately, cut short by a coughing fit. Only Human
Marvel Comics continuity
Generation 1
On Cobra Island, Cobra Commander berated Zartan for the careless actions of his Dreadnoks, which had revealed Cobra's interest in Power Station Alpha to G.I. Joe, and ordered him to send Zarana to retrieve the uncouth mercenaries. He feared that the incident had left him vulnerable to the manipulations of his would-be usurper, Serpentor. Blood on the Tracks He was right to be concerned, as he was apparently deposed soon after by Serpentor, who took command of Cobra. Power Struggle

Generation 2
After Megatron appeared in Destro's castle (believing it was a Transformer, since it was a shape-shifting building) Unfoldings!, Cobra Commander offered him a deal: a new body in exchange for Cybertronian technology. Realignments Megatron agreed, but Cobra Commander betrayed him, infecting Megatron's rail gun (the new version of his fusion cannon) with a computer virus to disable it. Megatron discovered the virus, removed it and transferred it to the Cybertronian technology he gave to Cobra. Final Transformations However, Cobra Commander didn't know this, and arranged for the Cybertronian tech to be transported back to their HQ. Hot Spot found out about this, and couldn't let the technology fall into Cobra hands, so he attacked the Cobra convoy. Hot Spot succeeded in destroying the truck carrying the Cybertronian tech, but even despite help from Hawk and Snake-Eyes, he had taken heavy damage from Cobra Detonators, so he chose to self-destruct rather than let his body fall into the clutches of Cobra Commander. All or Nothing!

G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers
Following directions from Destro, Cobra Commander and the Baroness unearthed an alien spaceship in 2003, before Cobra had made itself known to the world. Finding the ship full of giant deactivated robots, Cobra Commander ordered his troops to haul the aliens away and re-seal the craft. Cobra's scientists soon managed to reprogram the robots to be under their control, except for the one known as Megatron, who was merely locked into the form of a gun and held at Cobra Commander's side. Cobra revealed themselves to the world some time later, when Cobra Commander led an attack on a peace summit in Washington, D.C. using his new "Battle Android Troopers". G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers issue 1

After the attack, the commander returned to Cobra Island, where he forced Megatron to give him information on energon and noted a breach in Cobra's network security. He also greeted Destro when the arms dealer came to check up on Cobra's progress in reverse-engineering the alien technology. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers issue 2 Cobra Commander was less than pleased when Destro decided to muscle in on things and take the upcoming attack on the SPS Research Facility into his own hands. He soon had other things to worry about, however, as the Battle Android Troopers broke out of Cobra's reprogramming and the commander found himself face-to-face with a very unhappy Optimus Prime. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers issue 3

Cobra Commander tried to defend himself using Megatron, who strictly refused to fight unless he was restored to his normal self. Realizing he had no other choice, the commander released Megatron and ran away while the Decepticon clashed with Optimus Prime. He made it to the island's shore, only to have Brawn and Gears blow up his escape ship and attempt to capture him. Luckily, he was saved by Storm Shadow and his S.N.A.K.E. mech. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers issue 4 The S.N.A.K.E. squad protecting Cobra Commander was then discovered and defeated by a different group of Autobots, forcing him to flee on foot while grumbling that he was going to need a new ninja. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers issue 5 Eventually, he stumbled across Starscream, immobilized and with a grenade about to detonate in his eye socket. The robot struck a deal with Cobra Commander: If the human removed the grenade, Starscream would in turn take him off the island. The commander accepted his offer, and the two began a grudging partnership as they escaped to Florida. {{storylink|G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers issue 6|G.I.

Two years later, Cobra Commander had somehow turned this grudging partnership into something more pleasing for himself, as Starscream was now happily following his orders. After learning about the supercomputer Teletran 3 on Cybertron, connected to Earth via a strange wormhole, Cobra Commander figured that the computer's teleportation technology would be invaluable to Cobra. He then traveled to Portugal, where he convinced Destro to provide him with the financial support needed to hack the computer. When Cobra Commander and Destro were overseeing the process in their Boston facility the following day, they came under attack by G.I. Joe, and were suddenly sent to Cybertron when Cobra's wormhole computer malfunctioned. Cobra Commander wasted no time in ordering his troops to kill the Joes and steal Teletran 3, but was interrupted by the arrival of several Autobots and Decepticons. He mostly faded into the background after Perceptor called him imperious and Destro told him to shut up. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II issue 1 When the whole affair was over, Cobra Commander argued with Destro some more and noticed that Starscream had fled, but he didn't really care about that. As it turned out, he had lined the jet's hull with plastic explosives, which later blew up as Starscream returned to the current Decepticon leader, Shockwave, killing them both. As a result, Cobra Commander finally brought peace back to Cybertron, a fact which probably would've annoyed the heck out of him if he had been aware. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II issue 4

Thanks to Zarana infiltrating Area 52, Cobra Commander learned that US government had used Megatron's remains to create the "Serpent Organic Robot", a biological android imbued with the experience of the world's greatest tacticians and warriors. Cobra Commander naturally wanted Serpent O.R. on his side, and staged a massive attack on Area 52, distracting its defenses with an army of new Battle Android Troopers while he and Zartan sneaked in on a Buzz Boar. After incapacitating Bumblebee, they freed Serpent O.R., only to learn that the android had retained some of Megatron's unpleasant memories of Cobra Commander, and definitely had no intention of being anyone's servant. While the commander had Zartan place a device on Serpent O.R.'s neck, they were quickly knocked out by his tentacles. The Art of War issue 1 After recovering, Cobra Commander cursed the day he found the Transformers, and was about to smash Bumblebee's face in with a lead pipe when G.I. Joe and some Autobots arrived and demanded answers. He briefly explained to them what he had come for, but was interrupted when Serpent O.R. reappeared and attacked everyone. While the Autobots and Joes were busy fighting back, Cobra Commander escaped with Zartan and Zarana. The Art of War issue 2
After returning to the Cobra Terrordrome in Siberia, Cobra Commander worked with Doctor Knox to take control of Serpent O.R. using the device Zartan had planted on him. He happily claimed that with the power of a god, he wouldn't need any of his old underlings. The Art of War issue 4 The perfect chance soon came, as Serpent O.R. defeated Optimus Prime and stole the Matrix of Leadership, transforming himself into the mighty "Serpentor Prime". Possessing the android's body, Cobra Commander killed two of his lieutenants, Razorclaw and Motormaster, while laughing at Serpent O.R. for being willing to give his power up. He soon came under attack by the Autobots and G.I. Joes he had met at Area 52, but took most of them out using Serpent O.R.'s tentacles, all the while bragging that he would conquer everything from the comfort of his lab and only regretting that he couldn't kill Megatron and Starscream personally. However, Arcee managed to rip his chestplate off, allowing Hawk to absorb the power of the Matrix out of him. The power feedback reduced Serpentor Prime to a smoldering wreck and fried Cobra Commander's brain, leaving him an unresponsive vegetable in his control chair on Earth. The Art of War issue 5
Transformers/G.I. Joe
In 1938, Cobra Commander learned that an "ultimate weapon" was hidden on the Fera Islands, and ordered Major Bludd to retrieve it. When the major returned with the Matrix of Leadership and a number of Decepticons in tow, Cobra Commander started wearing the relic on his person and allied himself with Megatron, leader of the Decepticons. By the summer of 1939, Cobra and the Decepticons had conquered several European nations, and the commander anticipated that the United States of America would soon make their move. Destro suggested that they withdraw a third of their forces to defend their headquarters on the Fera Islands, but Cobra Commander angrily dismissed his idea, as the US troops didn't even know where Cobra's base was located. The Line

A few hours later, a US strike force airdropped near the Cobra base while Cobra Commander was busy inspecting his jewelry. After verbally assaulting Destro for practically everything he said, the commander dispatched Zartan and a squadron of Rattlers to deal with the attackers. Transformed Shortly afterwards, Megatron that the Decepticon-Cobra allliance was no longer of use to him, and tried to attack Cobra Commander. In response, the commander revealed that he could use the Matrix to harm Megatron, bringing the Decepticon leader to his knees. While he decided to spare Megatron for now, Cobra Commander warned him that if he ever rebelled again, he wouldn't be so lucky. Trial by Fire (issue)

As the enemy troops, now allied with the Autobots, closed in on the Cobra Terrordrome, Cobra Commander ordered Major Bludd to take the civilians and slaves in the area and use them as a human defense line. With the enemy unable to attack innocent people, the commander was free to pick them off using Shockwave's cannon mode. As Shockwave fired on Superion, Cobra Commander held a dramatic speech about how people once saw him as a madman just because he saw his own destiny as future ruler of the world... but now, anyone who stood against him would burn! Trenches

However, despite Cobra Commander's efforts, the enemy continued to advance. His troops were scattered, his slaves were rescued, and Shockwave broke down from overuse. When he tried to get Megatron's help, the Decepticon leader only mocked him. Shortly thereafter, Cobra Commander was caught in a rockslide caused by Bruticus, which crushed his legs. His pleas for help were ignored by Megatron, who instead transformed into gun mode and offered Cobra Commander a quick and easy way to end it all. The commander held Megatron to his head, but ultimately threw him away, unable to kill himself. The gun was quickly picked back up by Baroness, who told Cobra Commander that while he had always loved power, he had never known what to do with it. She then finished the job by executing him. The Iron Fist

Some fifty years later, in 1986, Cobra Commander was back in action. On his base on Cobra Island, he learned that an alien craft had crashlanded near Portland, Oregon, and dispatched a squad to retrieve it for Cobra. Targets of Opportunity

Notes
* Fans have been known to compare Cobra Commander with Starscream. Both were notoriously treacherous. Both had a superior that they wanted to get rid of. And of course, they were both voiced by Chris Latta.
* Following the trend started by Latta, of the three English-speaking actors to have portrayed the various Starscreams in subsequent animation and films, two have also voiced contemporary incarnations of Cobra Commander. Michael Dobson provided the voice of Unicron Trilogy Starscream and Cobra Commander in the Spy Troops and Valor vs Venom movies, while Charlie Adler performed Movieverse Starscream and the Resolute version of Cobra Commander. Whether or not either of these were deliberate instances of duplicating the old Latta formula is unknown, but we're sure Tom Kenny feels left out. In contrast, there have been quite a few other actors who have voiced Cobra Commander, but haven't had their turn at Starscream.
* As of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Snake goes by the code name Old Snake. Spoiler alert: Cobra has a Metal Gear.
* According to The AllSpark Almanac 2, Cobra Commander became President of the United States at some point. He even got his face on Mount Rushmore.
Keepers Trilogy
Associated Characters
The Vice-President
The Vice-President is the President's attack dog. He goes to pick up Allister Greaves in person after his spy in the Executive office is revealed.

Greaves isn't much impressed by the Vice-President, he has too many skeletons in his closet. Greaves threatens to release documentation of the Vice-President's tryst with a minor girl in Topeka to the media. The Vice-President dis-involves himself from further direct contact with Greaves. Keepers Trilogy

John
John is the Secretary of State. He is one of the President's confidantes in his plan to kidnap General Michelle Grajkowski and frame her for the attack on the Autobots.

Bill
Bill is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He, along with John, are the President's confidantes in his plan to frame General Michelle Grajkowski.

Elisa
Elisa is the President of the United State's secretary. She speaks several languages, and always answers the phone with a different accent. A member of the Followers, she secretly gives Edmund Greaves information about goings-on in the Executive Office.

When Greaves requested information about the Keepers, Elisa promised to send him a synopsis of the upcoming cabinet meeting about them, and then requested Greaves try to remove the Followers agents from Las Vegas, which she felt had become too dangerous. He agreed to try.

The President became aware of Elisa's 'second job,' and when she called Greaves to warn him that the attack on Las Vegas had been pushed up, she was killed. A CIA agent informed Greaves the President very much wanted to speak with him, and a car was being sent.

Elisa's death shook Greaves badly, and was one of his prime motivations to go public with the Followers.

Elisa is probably the source of at least some of the blackmail material Greaves has on the President and the Vice President.

Susan
Susan replaced Elisa as the President of the United State's secretary. An unattractive woman with a tough-as-nails attitude, she takes her job as the President's gatekeeper very seriously, once refusing to let the Secretary of State through because he hadn't phoned ahead for an appointment.

Susan may be based on the character Deborah Fiderer from the TV show The West Wing.
After the Decepticons had established an infiltration team on Earth, Republican Senator Alexander Holt unwittingly talked to a facsimile construct of a politically powerful military general about concerns that stability in the Middle East would cause problems for his Big Oil backers. The false general assured Holt that the military and the government were in the region for the long haul. This would presumably include the current President. Nine months later, shortly after Megatron took command of the infiltration team, the Decepticon leader sent Thundercracker and Skywarp to attack the El-Jira nuclear power plant in the Middle East to inflame global tensions. By this time, Holt had become the favourite for the Republican presidential candidate and was recommending more direct intervention in the region. Escalation issue 2

Three years after the Decepticons were driven away, the new President made a live adress in response to North Korea using the Combaticons to attack South Korea. He announced that any nation using or allying themselves with Cybertronians would be considered by the United States to be in possession of weapons of mass destruction. Future President Herbert Hoover and his wife Lou would be stranded in China during the Boxer Rebellion, and used a radio to transmit information on Boxer troop movement to American forces; it was here they met Wells of the future Sector Seven. As an expert on mining, Hoover was secretly tasked by Sector Seven to secretly divert the Colorado River so they could excavate "the Cube"; Lou, as a metallurgist, was hired as a Sector Seven employee. Both of them encountered Jetfire and helped stop him, and several Allspark Mutations. Irreplaceable

During his political career, Hoover made it a key priority to construct a permanent base in Colorado where Sector Seven could keep the Cube. That's why they eventually called it Hoover Dam! Irreplaceable
* Elaine Nakamura, the nations first female president.
* James K. Polk, who brought Texas and California into the union.
* Howard J. Nissen, who saved the rainforests.
* Edward Augutter, a president-elect who drove off the Inhumanoid menace.
* Benito Caruso, who restored diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and the United States.
The President of the United States in the Shattered Glass series is President Colton. Colton is strong on national defense and doesn't care much about how the rest of the world thinks. He didn't appreciate the Autobots taking control of his defense satellite, or the Decepticons destroying it.

Notes
*The President never appeared in the original animated series, but he did have a cameo in The Inhumanoids, one of Transformers "sister series" produced by Sunbow and arguably set in the same continuity. Appearing only as a voice from offscreen speaking to his aides in The Surma Plan in 1986, the President of the United States was a soft-spoken man concerned about the future but full of faith in the better nature of humanity. He was portrayed by voice actor Neil Ross, also a great communicator.

*Optimus Prime's Holomatter avatar is modeled after [[wikipedia:Ulysses_S._Grant|Ulysses S.
*While unnamed, Marvel's presidents are clearly meant to be Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, while IDW's Tales of the Fallen #5 shows the hand of a President who is clearly meant to be Barack Obama. Dreamwave's Prez doesn't appear to be meant as George W. Bush, but since this is Pat Lee drawing it could simply be a bad drawing of Dubya.

*Irreplaceable is the first Transformers story to have a real-life President, explicitly named as such, as a main character.
The Transformers cartoon

{{storylink|G.I.

B.O.T. was built as an assignment for a pair of troublemaking sociopaths, who enlisted science geek Elise Presser to <s>help out</s> do all the work. Obtaining scrap metal from a local junkyard that happened to have a new shipment of merchandise, the kids built a portly robot that just so happened to have Brawl's personality component in its head. As one would figure, this made B.O.T. turn evil and destroy the high school science lab. It was only when Martin blasted him with an experimental laser that the rampage ended, and B.O.T. fled the area.

The kids called the Autobots to rein in their wayward creation, and after being chased into an abandoned building, B.O.T. was eventually subdued by a laser blast to the back from Swindle, there to reclaim his comrade's missing piece. When B.O.T. was brought back to the school, Elise discovered that the personality component had been removed. After some fine tuning, B.O.T. was able to listen in on everything Brawl heard, allowing the students to discover that Megatron was setting up a massive cannon to knock the Moon out of orbit.

When Megatron decided to test his new cannon on the Ark, B.O.T. was sent to destroy it, while being remotely controlled by Elise. After making his way to the cannon, B.O.T. turned it on its makers to win the battle, before pressing the convenient "Overload" button, thus destroying the cannon and himself in the process. Back inside the Ark, Elise asked if the Autobots had any spare parts so that she could build a new robot, but was quickly subdued by her assailants. {{storylink|B.O.T.
