Wave numberings
Are we certain that the Deluxes Vehicon and Terrorcon Cliffjumper are part of the Robots in Disguise waves and are not part of the First Edition waves? After all, at NYCC 2011, Hasbro stated that the Wheeljack, Soundwave, new mold Bumblebee, and new mold Cliffjumper figures were Robots in Disguise Wave 1. Couldn't these two be "First Edition Wave 3"? SDCC 2011 showed them to be "Wave 3" figures, and they're coming out before the four mentioned "RiD Wave 1" figures. So, what's the story behind putitng them in the RiD main line instead of the FE line? --Sabrblade 22:59, 26 November 2011 (EST)
Japanese Exclusives?
Not going to worry about adding it to the article now (I'm sure someone with more local cred will do it), but how should the new "Prime Targetmaster Companions" from Japan, Skywarp, and the other handful of Japanese-only toys so far announced going to be handled? Just treat them in a similar vein to the (now old) Robots in Disguise line? - Vanguard 18:25, 20 January 2012 (EST)
:I think only the ones that have no Hasbro counterparts should be listed in some fashion. The rest that are still relatively similar to the Hasbro versions shouldn't be listed, since we didn't do that for the Animated toyline page. --Sabrblade 01:13, 21 January 2012 (EST)
Separating the First Edition toys from the Robots in Disguise toys
Does anyone else think there should be separated individual sections for the First Edition toys and the Robots in Disguise toys? I mean, it might seem a little neater to put all nine First Edition releases by themselves in one section and then all the Robots in Disguise toys below them in a second section, as right now we have them wrapping around each other with things looking a little confusing. --Sabrblade 22:33, 20 January 2012 (EST)

: Seems to be how things are organized on other pages with similar themes (Unicron Battles, etc.). I went ahead and separated them out. Probably should add the 'upcoming item' tags to a few entries here. - Vanguard 23:29, 20 January 2012 (EST)
:: And now that's done. I didn't add the macro to the first wave of RiD toys, since they're apparently coming out in the UK already and should be in release in the US any time now. I also didn't do anything about the "Movers" since I have no clue about them. - Vanguard 23:36, 20 January 2012 (EST)
Gun Jumping?
: I didn't think we could/should use store pre-orders as 'verification' of upcoming assortments until they were confirmed. RobotKingdom has had errors in their pre-order information in the past, and some of these products (such as the Bot Shots) don't appear to be Prime products at all. While some of the upcoming material seems obvious (Voyager Megatron), shouldn't we wait for a little more confirmation? There's a reason I didn't put up Skywarp just yet, after all... - Vanguard 00:46, 21 January 2012 (EST)
::Help:Official info#What constitutes official information? Though, if there are indeed any errors in this information, feel free to make any necessary corrections. --Sabrblade 00:53, 21 January 2012 (EST)
:::Well, the RobotKingdom link doesn't identify the branding of the Bot Shots toys, so those should not be here yet. Also, RobotKingdom is NOT currently on the 'first source' list that you cited. (Again, not trying to be difficult here, just that pre-order information has been burned before, particularly from RobotKingdom). At the very least, the Bot Shot assortment should be removed for the time being, and I think there should be a note added about the sources of future wave information be placed for the time being. This is an admin call, though, so I'm not going to make the edit. - Vanguard 01:00, 21 January 2012 (EST)
::::Yeah, I wasn't too certain on those, which is why I didn't link them to any specific version of those characters. But, you're right, we'll need the voice of one higher up to decide. Though, Walky did just add this bit to Silas' page, so... yeah, I'm stumped. --Sabrblade 01:05, 21 January 2012 (EST)
Just a few observations...
For one, I'm confident that 'Robots in Disguise' is simply referring to the Deluxe/Voyager price-point figures, the same way that 'MechTech' was used in the Dark of the Moon toyline. Note how only Deluxe/Revealers and Voyager/Powerizers have the 'Robots in Disguise' logo, as well as red details on the packaging, while Legion and Commander have 'Cyberverse', green detailing and no sign of 'Robots in Disguise' anywhere on them. The use of 'Robots in Disguise' for the ENTIRE mainline seems erroneous to me. Secondly, I'm also wondering if perhaps 'Revealers' and 'Powerizers' are simply tentative size-classes. The packaging for the figures still read 'Deluxe' and 'Voyager', and likewise, the Argos catalogue itself lists them as Deluxe and Voyager. I wonder if the Revealer/Powerizer names are actually, like 'CyberTech' and 'Megaverse', terms not being used officially, yet are still in the computer systems for Argos (when picking up my reserved Wheeljack, the Argos worker listed it as 'one Prime Revealer', yet his packaging states him to be Deluxe). I am not a member of any of the online Transformers communities, so I thought it best to raise the point here. If I'm in the wrong, by all means gloss over the non-member's random comments! 90.205.85.159
Is the BigBadToyStore a credible source?
I noticed recently that the BBTS have a page for Japanese 'Prime' figures, including several listed that I don't think have been confirmed anywhere else. TFW2005 have pointed it out and listed the figures by size class, including the new ones. Tarrn 19:48, 26 January 2012 (EST)

: BBTS is very credible, as far as being a secondary source. The only issue here is that we don't know, for sure, what all these Japanese releases actually are just yet. "Dreadwing" seems to be their version of "Skyquake", based on its listing. "Bikon" seems to be a very, very badly romanized version of "Vehicon". "Skywarp" is likely a redeco of the deluxe "Starscream" figure. All of this, of course, could be completely wrong. But, there's no harm, just yet, in just waiting until either Takara updates its page or we start seeing toy pictures. - Vanguard 14:31, 30 January 2012 (EST)
According to the packaged images, these guys don't actually use the Prime name on their packagings... should they be considered a separate toyline, or is this new TFP toyline actually a Transformers catch-all line that just uses the Prime subtitle where necessary? --Detour 04:44, 18 February 2012 (EST)
