Some people are team players, and some...well, aren't. '''Prowl''' falls into the latter category. A loner at heart, he has no interest in teamwork, something [[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus Prime]] finds extremely frustrating. Added to that is his personality conflict with the fun-loving Bumblebee. All in all, not the most sociable guy in the world.

Still, he's not without his redeeming features. He has a deep, deep fascination with organic lifeforms. In fact, he seems to have a deeper appreciation of them then those who grew up with them. The phrase "stop and smell the roses" is a life truth for Prowl, and he can spend hours motionless, watching life play out around him.

Like [[Starscream (disambiguation)|others of his kind]], Starscream seeks to betray [[Megatron (Animated)|Megatron]] and take over the Decepticons. This time, however, he's not afraid to plant bombs on his mighty leader. In the aftermath of the explosion, Starscream got so caught up in his own greatness that he didn't notice that his comrades abandoned him on a ship hurtling towards an exploding space bridge.

Over the next fifty solar cycles, Starcream searched for the All Spark on his own, using the damaged ship as a base (and probably getting a few screws loose in his [[central processor]]). He later discovered that the [[All Spark (Animated)|All Spark]] was on Earth and adopted a jet fighter as an alternate mode to search for it. When he revealed himself to the Autobots, he quickly thrashed each of them individually. Starcreams mocked them, apparently assuming that the Autobots thought ''they'd'' really defeated Megatron (whom he referred to as "the great Megatron" without sarcasm, so he seems to have at least a loathing respect for his leader's power). All too boastful of his cunning, Starscream boldly admitted that Megatron was already defeated by the bomb Starscream himself had put on him. Despite being more powerful than the Autobots, Starscream failed to take the All Spark, partially because he [[Megatron (BW)|spent too much time gloating]]. [[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus Prime]] grabbed Starscream in midair, and they opened the All Spark, releasing a massive wave of energy. Optimus was killed by the energy surge (he got better), but Starscream's fate was unspecified. But he'll be back... {{storylink|Transform and Roll Out!}}

When her pet robot dog, Sparkplug, stole her security key card, Sari chased it outside and was confronted by [[Bumblebee (Animated)|Bumblebee]] and [[Bulkhead (Animated)|Bulkhead]], who spoke to her as if she were Sparkplug's pet. Naturally, she freaked out, but quickly befriended Bumblebee once he saved her from a giant bug that had grown from her father's nanite experiment gone awry. Stowing away on Bumblebee and coming aboard the ''[[Ark (Animated)|Ark]]'', she came across the [[All Spark (Animated)|All Spark]], which infused part of its power into her security key. This allowed her to heal [[Transformer]]s, such as the injured [[Prowl (Animated)|Prowl]], earning her brownie points with the 'Bots. She also managed to talk the police down from shooting the Autobots, saying they were friendly (except [[Ratchet (Animated)|Ratchet]], who was grumpy, but not evil). Sari later helped teach the Autobots about [[Earth]] and [[human]]s.

During the unveiling of her father's new transit system, [[Starscream (Animated)|Starscream]] arrived and attacked. Bumblebee took a shot meant for Sari, allowing Starscream to capture him, Professor Sumdac, the Mayor, and [[Captain Fanzone]]. Sari came up with the idea to distract Starscream while she and Prowl rescued the others (even faking some tears to make it happen).
