A '''Flier''' was a soldier type employed by the [[Autobot]]s, [[Decepticon]]s, and neutral forces, mostly during the [[Great War (G1)|Great War]]. Fliers would swap between their Cybertronian jet [[alternate mode]] and their robot modes, where they would hover in the air. They were relatively weak but often attacked in groups to make up for it. A popular method of destroying them was to shoot their robot mode's foot thrusters, which would send a flier sailing, often into the nearest wall, before exploding. Decepticon fliers were nicknamed "[[Seeker (body-type)|Seekers]]" by Autobot infantry, while Autobot fliers were nicknamed "[[Aerialbot (G1)|Aerialbots]]" by the Decepticons.

Fliers are very common in War For Cybertron, appearing as adversaries in most all levels, disregarding the boss fights. Storywise, A Decepticon Seeker is shown in a scripted sequence being trapped in an exploding room onboard the Decepticon Space Station during the Aerial Assault. On the Autobot side, Several Autobot Aerialbots are part of Jetfire's aerial defense of Iacon, and after activating the defense cannons, more can be seen taking off from the walkways and joining the battle. Later on, during Silverbolt's squadron's mad dash to disable the Orbital Cannon, several Aerialbots can be seen alongside the trio during the flying sequence, however all shown Aerialbots are destroyed by the beam or debris. The radio comments they and the playable characters make suggest that these Aerialbots are members of Silverbolt's group, however this is unclear.

Heavy Soldier

What the [[Brute (WFC)|Brutes]] do with melee, '''Heavy Soldiers''' do with big [[frag]]ging guns. Standing a few feet taller than the average [[Transformer]], Heavy Soldiers roam the battlefield carrying their ion displacers. However, they roam slowly, due to the massive size of their guns. This leaves them vulnerable to attack. Just don't try to take them head on—you may be left with a few bullet holes in your chassis. When they die, they leave behind their [[Ion Displacer|guns]], so grab 'em fast!

==Games==

Heavy Soldiers are encountered several times in War For Cybertron. When not being part of waves of enemies, an Allied Heavy can seen as members of Brawl's ground assault troops in the battle outside of Zeta Prime's vault. After Megatron's team regroups with them, the Heavy Soldier joins in the battle, but his slow movement means that his fate is hard to keep track of. An Autobot Heavy joins in Prime's retaking of the Decagon.

A Decepticon Heavy makes an appearance in a scripted scene in Kaon, where he guns down Autobot POWs, and is about to do the same to Prime's men when Air Raid kills him.

* Like most Decepticon troops, the Decepticon Heavies vaguely resemble Cobra Battle Android Troopers (especially their faceplates) while Autobot Heavy Soldiers bear a certain resemblance to [[Roadbuster]], the gun-loving [[Wrecker]] (which is fitting, really).

That ripple in your glass of water isn't a [[Grimlock (G1)|''Tyrannosaurus rex'']], it's a '''Destroyer,''' the largest and most powerful soldier unit in either faction's army. Standing somewhere between [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] and [[Omega Supreme (G1)|Omega Supreme]] in terms of mass, Destroyers usually start out in their gigantic tank modes, and transform into robot mode after their weakness—an exposed rear vent—is exploited. In Robot mode, they will activate an EMP pulse to soften you and then melt you with a continuous laser beam. As they take damage, portions of their armor will fall off. Robot-mode Destroyers have no particular weakness: just blast away and pray!

Destroyers can be encountered in thankfully only a few places in War For Cybertron. The first Autobot Destroyer arrives as the last line of defense of Zeta Prime's vault after the successful Decepticon aerial bombing of that facility. Four other Autobot Destroyers are seen in the game, One being deployed by Omega Supreme to stall Megatron's escape, one in tank mode seen on a bridge supporting the Autobot counterrattack on Starscream's troops during the battle with Omega Supreme, And one is seen drifting with style through debris-strewn Iacon Speedway during Optimus's regrouping of Iacon's defense force and another (or possibly the same) on the lift Ironhide is riding in the Autobot's second command base during the battle.

Decepticon Destroyers appear as members of the Decepticon troops left by Megatron to guard the core, most notably dismembering a poor Space Slug. Another Destroyer features as a commander or sub-commander of the Decepticon-controlled space station, futile barking orders as the facility falls to pieces before he is destroyed by the Aerialbots. The final Destroyers in WFC are a pair of Decepticon warriors who are the last line of Trypticon's defense.
