[[Shockwave (Movie)|Shockwave]] and the [[Driller]] attacked the NEST forces, and the Autobots retrieved the fuel cell, unaware that the whole thing had been a set up. The mission completed, Laserbeak killed Voskhod as he tried to drive away in his white limo, sarcastically telling his corpse it had been a pleasure to work with him.

Laserbeak soon arrived in [[Africa]], shooting up a vulture as he descended to perch on Soundwave's hand. Laserbeak confronted Wang at his office, ordering him to do some saboutage work relating to the moon. When Sam came into Wang's office asking about the notes he had been given, Laserbeak forced Wang to send him away. He then demanded to know what he had told Sam. Wang feigned despair, saying he would do anything, but was able to surprise the sadistic Decepticon by pulling out two guns. However Laserbeak quickly disarmed him with his tail and "suicided" Wang by swinging him out the window, sending him falling to his death. Laserbeak took disguise as a photo copier and waited for Sam to come closer, but an employee trying to use him forced Laserbeak into action, chasing Sam through the office. Unfortunately he was not very nimble in the cramped spaces, and Sam managed to escape when Laserbeak clipped his wing.

Laserbeak reappeared with Soundwave after Sam and [[Carly Spencer]] had realised that the one human ally they did not kill, [[Dylan Gould]], was working for the Decepticons. Laserbeak perched himself on a fountain and watched as Dylan and Soundwave forced Sam into agreeing to find out the Autobot's plans.

Laserbeak later participated in the invasion of the city of Chicago, and waited for Sentinel to activate his [[Space Bridge]] pillars in Dylan's penthouse. When Sam was arrived to resuce Carly, Laserbeak transformed out of his artwork mode and grabbed Sam with his talons and threw him out of the window. Laserbeak tried knocking a military drone into the fighter to jam its engines, and struggled with Sam on top of the fighter. Laserbeak played a vital role during Soundwave's mission to a former [[Sector Seven]] data archive. While Soundwave was able to fight his way to the base, he was unable to break in and so launched Laserbeak to infiltrate it instead.

Armed with a machine gun, the small but vicious Decepticon could not last long in an all-out firefight with the Autobots inside, so it had to rely on stealth. Using its abilities to take the form of holographic items and fixtures within the base, Laserbeak was able to ambush and slay numerous Autobots as it sought a way to allow Soundwave entry.

Throughout the course of this operation, Laserbeak encountered numerous defense drones, autoturrets and Autobots. It also learned that the base, while still containing useful data, was now used as a workshop by the Autobot scientist [[Wheeljack (Movie)|Wheeljack]]. Worse, Wheeljack was working with human scientists to develop [[MechTech]] weaponry.

Realising the threat, Soundwave now changed objectives from data retrieval to outright destruction. As the base was built in a volcano in order to take advantage of geothermal energy, he had Laserbeak damage several of the seismic dampeners that prevented the volcano from erupting. Laserbeak also managed to hack the gates, finally allowing Soundwave to enter the base personally and complete both objectives.

Care should be taken however, as the small tab is prone to stress marks and may eventually snap off.

For each mission, the user controls either Optimus or Bumblebee using the numeric keys on the device. 4 and 6 steer left and right, 8 jumps or transforms to robot mode, 2 transforms to vehicle mode, 5 attacks or interacts with objects in the location. Optimus has only melee attacks, 5 will deliver a punch and pressing an indicated direction key while punching will execute a special melee attack, such as impaling the opponent on his energon sword. Optimus can also haul himself up onto higher platforms. Bumblebee can melee attack and use his blaster. Pressing 0 as Bumblebee will allow a targeted shot with his blaster, though he is limited to 3 of these unless he can find a recharge. Both [[Autobot]]s can push boxes while in their vehicle mode to navigate certain puzzles.

After the recent destruction of the [[AllSpark]], Optimus hoped the war was over, but now the Autobots are working with [[NEST]], and the [[Decepticon]]s have reemerged. A distress call from [[Shanghai]] sends Optimus to [[China]], where he discovers the first wave of a Decepticon invasion force. While he is fighting off the troops, NEST sensors pick up AllSpark energy. Optimus recalibrates his internal sensors to track the signal and runs into [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]], who has recovered a another fragment of the AllSpark. Optimus attempts to stop him, but Starscream flies off with the fragment. Optimus has no time to ponder what Starscream's last words "He will see to that!" mean, when NEST issues a code red — Decepticon signatures are converging on NEST HQ. Optimus has to stay in Shanghai to help with the cleanup, but Bumblebee is conveniently nearby.

Elsewhere, Starscream apologizes to [[The Fallen]] for his failure to finish Prime, but The Fallen is pleased at the recovery of the AllSpark shard. He instructs Starscream to proceed to the next stage of the plan while he uses the AllSpark to restore... "him".

Bumblebee reaches NEST HQ and attempts to halt the Decepticon advance before they reach the sub-level's central core. He confidently tells Optimus that he won't need [[Ironhide (Movie)|Ironhide]]'s help, and begins mowing down Decepticons, but NEST alerts him that Starscream has arrived and is heading for the core. Bumblebee manages to beat his opponent there and seal off the core, but finds himself having to face Starscream. He manages to beat the Decepticon, only to be zapped by Starscream's [[null-ray|null ray]]. While Starscream is still gloating, the newly-revived [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]] contacts him to report that the diversionary attack was a success and now they have more important matters to attend to, such as [[Matrix of Leadership|the Matrix]]. Bumblebee warns Optimus, who has an idea where they're headed, and plans to look up an old friend.

Elsewhere, The Fallen tells Megatron and Starscream to head for [[Egypt]] to find the Matrix, so they can use it to reactivate the [[Star Harvester|Great Machine]].

NEST loses contact with Optimus, who is attempting to find [[Jetfire (ROTF)|Jetfire]]. Bumblebee arrives in Egypt, and Optimus instructs him to meet Jetfire at the [[Great Pyramid of Giza|Great Pyramid]], though Bumblebee wonders if the ex-Decepticon can be trusted. Bumblebee fights his way toward the pyramid, and Optimus warns him that there's a large energy signature in the area which he believes to be The Fallen. When Bumblebee arrives at the pyramid, he finds Jetfire is already down, thanks to [[Devastator (ROTF)|Devastator]] who has gotten hold of the Matrix somehow. Despite Optimus's caution, Bumblebee defeats Devastator in battle and retrieves the Matrix. Unfortunately Megatron promptly arrives and takes Bumblebee and the NEST soldiers present as hostages.

Optimus arrives and demands that Megatron return the Matrix and hostages, but Megatron boasts that Optimus will never defeat him alone. Bumblebee tells Prime that before Jetfire passed out, he suggested Optimus use his parts. With bits of Jetfire attached to himself, Optimus gains more power, and is able to punch Megatron into submission and get the Matrix back. The Fallen picks this moment to make an appearance, pointing out that Optimus is now too exhausted to resist him. Optimus agrees, but points out now he has the Matrix. Tapping into its power, he unleashes a mighty blast of energy that destroys the Fallen. The Autobots celebrate their victory, though Megatron has escaped and is already plotting the conquest of Earth.

Storm Cloud challenged Roadhandler in the ring, with the stipulation that if Roadhandler didn't demonstrate Autobot inferiority by throwing the match, Roadhandler's fan club would be in danger.
