:Giga is a human and a Decepticon Godmaster from the Super-God Masterforce portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Giga leads the Decepticon forces on Earth alongside his wife, Mega, serving as the "Ambassadors of Destruction" for the mysterious alien entity and self-styled Decepticon god, Devil Z. Giga has given himself over entirely to the Decepticon goals of conquest, but at the same time, has not lost touch with his humanity, believing that humans should be the ones to rule their own planet. He realizes that a bloodless takeover is essentially impossible, but Devil Z's hate-fuelled willingness to exterminate human beings to achieve his goals often leaves a bad taste in Giga's mouth.

As Decepticon Godmasters, both Giga and Mega are bonded to the same Transtector from the G Nebula. This transtector, Overlord, splits into two components, the Gigatank piloted by Giga and the Megajet piloted by Mega.

Precisely how Giga and Mega were recruited by Devil Z was never revealed. The couple were bonded to the largest of the eight Transtectors that Devil Z had brought to Earth, and were charged by the alien with finding the other Godmaster Transtectors scattered across Earth. They operated out of a secret island base while Devil Z's other Decepticon minions, led by Blood, kept the Autobots on Earth busy. Giga and Mega discovered the German brothers Hydra and Buster and a pair of jet Transtectors in North America and bonded them together, bringing them to their island for training in the use of their mighty new powers.

Eventually, Devil Z decided bring his Decepticon troops together, and dispatched Blood's Decepticons to Giga and Mega's island, where Giga explained to the newcomers the power of the Godmasters. Super Warriors - The Godmaster Brothers With their forces now united, the Decepticons all relocated to the base used by Blood, and began anew their campaign to plunder energy and destabilize the natural balance of the world. A Fierce Battle!! The Autobots Are in Trouble

Soon, Giga and Mega revealed to Hydra and Buster that they were not the only Godmasters on Earth, and ordered them to seek out more of their kind. The first Godmaster to be discovered, however—a trucker named Ginrai—wound up siding the Autobots. A Hero Is Chosen - His Name Is Ginrai In order to beef up Hydra and Buster's armament for the subsequent hunt for Ginrai, Giga and Mega provided them with Deathballs (powerful explosives that Giga road-tested by driving them into a passing military jet with a gold club) Ginrai: God On of Rage!! but the Godmaster brothers repeatedly failed to best their Autobot opponent, prompting Giga and Mega to call in King Poseidon. Eliminate the Godmaster Ginrai

Things just kept going from bad to worse for the Decepticons, though, when three more Godmasters were discovered and sided with the Autobots, leaving Giga and Mega furious, and with very little patience for the Six Changer Sixknight, who attempted to offer them his services and who they turned away with mocking laughter. A Powerful Foe!! Sixknight the Wanderer

Giga and Mega next tried turning the rest of Earth against the Autobots, by having Mega pose as a fortune teller on television in order to predict disasters that they could blame on the Autobots. Giga took the Gigatank into battle for the first time in order to fulfil one of these "prophecies" by blowing up Watson Dam, Expose the Decepticons' Dark Trap! but when even that plan was foiled, the couple finally determined that it was time at last for them to take matters into their own hands. Luring Ginrai into the desert, Giga and Mega unleashed their full power by combining into Overlord and thrashing Ginrai under he was near death. Super Ginrai Gets Blown Away in the Desert!? Following this victory, they departed Earth for the moon, where they took over a weather monitoring station and awaited the arrival of the approaching Decepticon super-weapon, BlackZarak. God Ginrai - Into the Sky!! Ginrai, combined with the drone Godbomber and aided by Grand Maximus, pursued them, and after a prolonged battle, Giga and Mega were badly wounded and forced to flee back to Earth. God Ginrai - Showdown on the Surface of the Moon

After their defeat on the moon, Giga and Mega made several attempts to destroy Godbomber, first with a "Chōkon Tornado" in the desert, Overlord - Terror of the Chōkon Tornado then by separating him from Ginrai Destroy Godbomber!!, but both plans failed. Giga's next plan was the infinitely more daring "Operation: Dark Base of the Lighthouse", conceived when the Decepticons were approached by the final Godmaster, Clouder. Appearance!! The Final Godmaster Giga exploited Clouder's ability to adopt two robot forms by installing him as a double agent within the Autobot ranks, and using the information that he obtained about the heroes' headquarters to mount a full-scale assault against on their base. {{storylink|Secret Orders!
When BlackZarak returned to Earth, Giga was shocked by Devil Z's decision to have the powerful Decepticon destroy all of humanity in one fell swoop using the atmosphere-destroying Death Para-Machine. Giga held his tongue, and the plan was ultimately thwarted by the Autobots, Crisis! The Day of Human Extinction but Giga's doubts remained, and only grew when Devil Z—now inhabiting the body of BlackZarak—revisited the idea, this time deciding to use his Devil Power to wipe out mankind. Giga could remain silent no longer, and spoke out against the destruction of mankind, only for Devil Z to utterly ignore his pleas. When the alien fulfilled Buster and Hydra's wishes to become truly robotic beings, the horrified Giga and Mega resolved to prove the power of humanity to Devil Z by fighting Ginrai without weapons, using only the power of their spirit and flesh. Battle to the Death!! God Ginrai VS Darkwings Reborn Ginrai acknowledged their wish by fighting on the same terms, but Grand Maximus had no such compunctions, blasting them from behind so that the Autobots could move on to more important matters. {{storylink|Autobots!

When Devil Z relocated the Decepticons to the peak of the Matterhorn for an attack against Europe, Giga and Mega found themselves in opposition to their emperor once more when he subjected Hydra and Buster to corporal punishment for their repeated failures. The couple tried to restrain Devil Z, causing him to turn on them, and they would have died then and there had Ginrai not come to their rescue. Malevolent and Inhuman! The True Form of Devil Z As Ginrai engaged Devil Z in battle, Giga and Mega realized that they could no longer serve the alien, and that they now owed Ginrai a debt of honor for saving them. Joining their old foe against their former leader, Giga and Mega were struck down by a bolt of Devil Power, and forcibly separated from their Transtectors by Devil Z's powers. As Overlord came to life as a true super-robot lifeform, Mega and Giga collapsed on the snowy ground, and their Masterbraces vanished from their wrists. With his last breath, Giga regretted that he could not end his rivalry with Ginrai honourably, and the couple died. This anger's Ginrai very much and vowed to destroy BlackZarak to avenge him and all the other's killed by BlackZarak. A Battle... and Then...
Giga and Mega came under Devil Z's rule when they drowned at sea, possibly as part of some kind of lover's suicide. As their lifeless bodies drifted to the bottom of the ocean trench in which the alien had been hibernating for years, Devil Z saw use for the humans, and used his mysterious powers to restore them to life. Bonding them to the largest of the eight Transtectors he had brought to Earth, Devil Z charged Giga and Mega with finding the other Godmasters lost around the Earth. The Birth of the Super Lifeforms

After locating and training the first two Godmasters, Hydra and Buster, Giga and Mega met with the Pretenders and Headmaster Juniors that were already operating on Earth under Devil Z's command. The couple took an immediate liking to the three young Juniors, and become something unto a father and mother for them, creating an odd "Decepticon family". Enter on the Stage! The Name of the Savior Is Ginrai!

When an attempt to dupe the Autobots with holographic images of legendary Decepticons failed, prompting Buster to inquire if there were any real troops available, Giga informed him that they would need to wait for Devil Z's order. Burn, Super Soul! The New Commander Super Ginrai! The order came soon, when Devil Z instructed the Earth-based Decepticons led by Giga and Mega to team up with the space-based Decepticon forces under the command of BlackZarak. The Battle Begins! The United Earth-Space Troops With this alliance to strengthen them, Giga and Mega unveiled their Transtectors for the first time in an attack on a city, and combined into Overlord to battle God Ginrai. God Ginrai's Amazing Super-God Combination!

In an attempt to expand their twisted family, the Decepticons kidnapped Shūta Gō and Cab and tried to torture them into joining their ranks. Wilder was not in favor of inducting the Autobots, but Giga informed him that they were always willing to embrace anyone who wanted to become part of their family. Minerva soon arrived to save her teammates, however, and Ginrai and Grand Maximus dispatched Overlord. The Earth Family of Good and Evil Their next attempt at enlarging their family was similarly ineffective, when the final Godmaster, Clouder, joined up with the Decepticons, only to turn on them and side with the Autobots. Giga believed that they hadn't shown Clouder enough love and concern. Decepticons' Great Counterattack!

Giga and Mega became Overlord again to join BlackZarak in attacking an Earth city, but they were defeated by the power of the Autobots' newest weapon, the VX Bomb. Live? Die?! The Desperate Super-God Combination Later, as the New Year approached, Giga and Mega wanted the Decepticon family to celebrate the New Year together. However, they found Cancer sneaked out of the Decepticon headquarter and runs away with Browning, leaving behind a letter that states he doesn't want to be a Decepticon any more. As for Cancer, who thought himself could live a normal life again, only met BlackZarak who winded up attacking the city where he went to. BlackZarak displayed his dismissive attitude towards humans—even comrades—when the Autobots arrived to battle him, seizing Cancer and using him to keep the Autobots at bay. Giga and Mega soon arrived, and, horrified at the sight of their surrogate son being treated in this manner, combined into Overlord and thrashed BlackZarak for his actions. The Autobots used this opening to attack both Decepticons, forcing them to retreat. Great Turn-Around! Autobots

Giga and Mega's actions in the last battle proved to be the last straw for Devil Z. Possessing BlackZarak's body, he turned on his minions and Ginrai and attempted to absorb their Jinchōkon, in order to transform himself into the ultimate lifeform. They were saved by the Autobot Pretenders, who blocked Devil Z's Jinchōkon-absorbing beam with their entirely robotic bodies, and Giga and Mega decided to join with the Autobots to defeat their treacherous emperor once and for all. All the Autobots and Decepticons united their energies in the "Perfect Transform Attack", obliterating Devil Z and BlackZarak in one mighty explosion of pure Chōkon Power. Alas, the death of Devil Z caused the cessation of the energies sustaining Giga and Mega, and the couple died along with the alien. Devil Z's passing had another unexpected side effect, causing the Transformers' Transtectors to come to life as true super-robot lifeforms that soon departed for space to continue their war. The now-living Overlord declared that he would continue to battle Ginrai and the Autobots, and defeat them in the name of Giga and Mega's memory. The Birth of the Super Lifeforms
:Giga comes packaged with Overlord, and transforms into black, teal and golden-chromed engine block. In humanoid mode, he lies in the cockpit of the Gigatank, while in engine mode, he snaps into the tank's engine socket in order to unlock it for transformation. Once Overlord is fully transformed into robot mode, Giga can be removed from the tank's socket and plugged into either of the two sockets in Overlord's chest; nominally, he is intended to be placed in the right-hand socket, unlocking Overlord's "Chōkon Daemon Blast" stomach-cannon. ==Synopsis==

At the peak of the Matterhorn, Ginrai and the fused BlackZarak/Devil Z entity prepare to face off against each other in their final battle. BlackZarak inquires if the Autobot leader plans to fight him alone, and Ginrai responds with a barrage of laser fire, which BlackZarak shrugs off. The villain transforms to scorpion mode and takes to the air, but Ginrai pursues him and seizes him by the tail. BlackZarak roars that he does not have time to waste on Ginrai, freely divulging his plan—he has placed an amplifier for his Devil Power at the South Pole, which will allow him to eliminate Humanity in the blink of an eye. The furious Ginrai attempts to drag BlackZarak back down to the mountain's peak, and he calls out for Overlord and the Darkwings brothers to aid him. Help is not forthcoming, but Ginrai still manages to rip off BlackZarak's cannons and tricks the villain into blasting himself with his own tail weapon. Damaged, BlackZarak begins to lose altitude, and Ginrai uses his own jets to steer the Decepticon into the mountainside. At the last second, however, BlackZarak throws off Ginrai and collapses part of the mountain, burying Ginrai in an avalanche.

Elsewhere on the mountain, the other Autobots and Decepticons are recovering from their injuries. While Minerva tends to the wounds Metalhawk received during his battle with King Poseidon in one location, in another spot, Hydra and Buster finally recover consciousness after the beating administered to them by BlackZarak. While Buster is still trying to wrap his mind around what happened, Hydra simply writes it off as punishment for weakness and proof that they must fight even harder. The chance for such a fight immediately arrives in the form of the Autobot Godmasters, and even though the two weakened Decepticons practically collapse after only a few shots are exchanged, they continue to draw out the fight. Lightfoot question's his tactics, how ever the Godmaster brother's still fight.

Some miles away, Clouder has supplied Cancer, Wilder and Bullhorn with a heavily armed buggy so that they can participate in the battle on the Matterhorn. As the quartet head towards the Alps, Wilder chooses to remind everyone that he has definitely not joined the Autobots, but the protest has grown so stale that Cancer laughs it off, much to Wilder's annoyance.Wilder then tells them to hold on and they floor it around the mountain.

Back on the Matterhorn, BlackZarak is in mid-gloat when Ginrai comes bursting out of the ice and snow and stomps his opponent into the rock face. BlackZarak transforms back into robot mode and unleashes the "Devil Thunder Ring," encircling Ginrai with Devil Power with the intent of removing his humanity and transforming him into a true robot, just as he did with Hydra and Buster. As Ginrai fights the effect. At the botoom of the mountian Grand Maximus, Shuta and Cab prepare to launch to assist Ginrai. Metalhawk vol-enters to go to but Grand and Minerva convince him to stay behind because of his injures. BlackZarak still using his Devil Thunder Ring try's to destroy Ginrai's humanity but Grand and the Headmaster Juniors arrive, And help by blasting from the Maximus's cannon which throws off BlackZarak's focus long enough for Ginrai to escape his Devil Power and take the fight up close. With a mighty swing and a flare of incandescent energy, Ginrai punches BlackZarak's head clean off his shoulders, and the decapitated Decepticon crashes into the mountain. Shūta cheers for his commander as BlackZarak's severed head lands alongside his body and explodes, but Grand silences him... because something is happening! BlackZarak's twitching, headless body rises up out of its crater, and as the shocked Autobots watch, it begins to transform into a new form!

At the base of the mountain, Mega and Giga stand by their Transtectors and debate on what to do next. Realizing that they have been misled by Devil Z, who has placed his hatred of human beings above even their comradeship, they know they can no longer serve him...and they now also owe Ginrai a debt of honor for saving them from Z's wrath. They are not the only Decepticons to reach a decision at this point, either—Hydra and Buster have reached the end of their strength and combine into Darkwings to flee their battle with the Autobot Godmasters.

Meanwhile, far above, BlackZarak's new form now stands revealed: a twisted, two-headed serpent, which launches energy blasts at God Ginrai from its mouths and swats him out of the sky with its tail. As the battle rages, Overlord appears overhead, and BlackZarak offers him a chance to redeem himself, but the Ambassador of Destruction opens fire on BlackZarak instead. Infuriated, BlackZarak vows to show Overlord what happens to traitors and envelops him in a beam of Devil Power. Crying in pain, Overlord's last act is to tell Ginrai to ensure that BlackZarak does not live, before Giga and Mega are suddenly ejected from the sphere of Devil Power. Shocked at what they are seeing, Ginrai and Grand Maximus are distracted enough to be blasted out of the sky by BlackZarak, just as the cocoon of Devil Power recedes and the Overlord Transtector emerges...now a truly living super-robot lifeform itself, brought to life by the power of Devil Z! Giga murmurs that he wishes they could have settled their rivalry with Ginrai honourably, and with that, he and Mega die and their Master-Braces vanish from their wrists. Burning with righteous anger and Chōkon Power, Ginrai rises, and Shūta, Cab and Minerva all feel the energy of their commander. In a flash of light, the three children find themselves in God Ginrai's chest cockpit, ready to fight alongside their leader as the defining moment of the battle draws nearer. Overlord lunges for Ginrai, but Grand Maximus transforms to robot mode and tackles him. BlackZarak orders Wilder, Cancer and Bullhorn's now-living Transtectors to attack Ginrai instead, but the Godmasters arrive just in time to handle them, leaving Ginrai to face off against BlackZarak. God Fire Guts and Devil Power collide in a mighty explosion, hurling Ginrai back and leaving Devil Z simply laughing from within BlackZarak's body. He announces to Ginrai that the Autobot's very existence—the existence of all the Godmasters—is as a result of his machinations, and to him, they are nothing more than tools that will never be able to defeat their maker. Ginrai refutes this, declaring that Devil Z has long underestimated the strength of humans and the limitless possibilities that exist within Mankind, and that is why he shall never defeat them. Exploding into flame once more, Ginrai activates the God Fire Guts and dives at BlackZarak, driving hard against a beam of Devil Power. Fighting with all his strength, Ginrai overpowers the beam and crashes into and through BlackZarak, whose body finally explodes into fragments, exposing the glowing orb of Devil Z. As the villain rages impotently, Ginrai and the Headmaster Juniors unite every drop of their Chōkon Power for one last, mighty attack: the FINAL FIRE GUTS! Burning with the passion and strength of his fellow humans and Autobots, Ginrai dives like a flaming spear into the heart of Devil Z, who screams and explodes in a coruscating wave of light and darkness.

As the blast dies out, the skies clear and Ginrai fades back into view, and the Decepticons battling below stop and gape, unable to comprehend what has occurred. Overlord is the first to take action...and that action is retreat. With their leader lost, the Decepticons immediately take to the air and head for space. Ginrai comes floating down out of the sky and lands in front his troops, but the surprises are not yet through, as all of the Godmasters and Headmaster Juniors suddenly glow with blinding light. When the light fades, seven ordinary human beings are left standing on the snowy ground, and Minerva is the first to realize that their Master-Braces have vanished. It is Road King who then makes the next discovery: A short distance away, their Transtectors are standing in robot mode! Ginrai's Transtector looks down at the humans assembled before it, and thanks them for all they have done. It is then that Ginrai realizes what has happened—with Devil Z's death, the link that he created between the humans and their Transtectors has been broken. But now, their Transtectors live on, having become true super-robot lifeforms themselves, and it is their duty to pursue the fleeing Decepticons back into space. As goodbyes are said, Cancer and company roll up the mountain in their buggy, all weapons firing, just a little bit too late to do any good. As everyone watches and waves, the Godmasters and Headmaster Juniors board Grand Maximus and blast off for space. As the narrator says, Ginrai's long battle with the Decepticons is over at last, but throughout it all, he has been supported by his friends, his fellow humans, and the beauty and peace of planet Earth.

Notes
Lost in translation
Among the changes made by the Omni Productions dub:
*The Matterhorn is described by the narrator as the Decepticons' control center.
*Devil Z calls his amplifier an "exterminator".
*Hawk doesn't bring up summoning the other Pretenders at all, leaving their absence a mystery.
*Clouder describes the Matterhorn as a "hill".
*God Ginrai's line in defiance of BlackZarak's threat to turn him into a robot is gone.
*Overlord's last line as he's being zapped by Devil Z is gone.
*God Ginrai's lecture to Devil Z about not killing his own men is changed to general "I will kill you!" banter.
*The determined growling during the shot of Ginrai and the Headmaster Juniors is replaced by Cab's voice actor whimpering loudly.
*Overlord's line right after Devil Z's death becomes "It's finally been destroyed!", which seems more positive than the original script intended.
*"WE BELIEVE TOMORROW" is missing from the soundtrack, with no music to replace it. The last notes of it fade in just before the credits.

Animation or technical errors
*In the first shot after the title card, BlackZarak is absolutely towering over God Ginrai. In the past, he's not been much more than a head taller than him.

Continuity errors
*Having not appeared in the previous episode, and having been absent for two-thirds of this one, Cancer, Wilder, and Bullhorn's Transtectors are suddenly among the Decepticon ranks in the third act. The Doubleclouder Transtector is still missing, however, and is not seen among the Decepticons flying into space at the episode's close.
*This episode explains that Devil Z was responsible for forging the link between the Godmasters and their Transtectors. This makes sense; the Godmasters' Transtectors were not originally intended to be bonded with humans, so it had to be someone else's doing, and the fact that the death of Devil Z in this episode causes this link to be severed makes it clear that he's not lying about it. However, Shūta, Minerva and Cab are also separated from their Transtectors, and this doesn't make sense, because Devil Z had no hand in their combination.
*Grand Maximus carries the Godmasters and Headmaster Juniors into space at the end of this episode, which is inconsistent with how he has been presented in the rest of the series. Whereas his big brother, Fortress Maximus, was large enough to transport Transformers around, Grand's battleship has been consistently depicted as being scaled for transporting humans around (consequently, he only transforms into a robot as tall as God Ginrai, instead of a towering giant like his sibling). But here, he is boarded by Transformers. Oops.

Continuity notes
*BlackZarak has been decapitated before, back in "God Ginrai - Showdown on the Surface of the Moon".
*Cancer, Wilder and Bullhorn (and Clouder) had their Transtectors brought to life in "Autobots! Desperate Attack!!".

Trivia
*The insert songs "Susume! Chōjin Masterforce" and "WE BELIEVE TOMORROW" are reprised for this episode, the former in instrumental form.
*BlackZarak's serpent mode, like Sixshot's "Wingwolf" mode and Overlord's "space jet" mode before it, was created by the production staff of the animated series by tinkering around with the toy. (Specifically, they beheaded the scorpion mode, turned it belly-forward, and used the claws for twin dragon heads.) In comparison to those other two characters, though, this mode was streamlined to a greater degree for animation (such as completely omitting the scorpion legs), so the actual toy doesn't look nearly as good if transformed to match it.
*Metalhawk (and presumably the other Autobot Pretenders too) remains behind on Earth. Presumably, that's because someone still needs to hunt down the Decepticon Pretenders and the Seacons, who last appeared (chronologically speaking) in the previous episode, and whose fates are left unrevealed.
*While this episode marks the end of the Super-God Masterforce story, it is not the end of the series. For the video release of the show, five clip episodes were created, and the final one of these, "You Too Use the Masterforce to Transform", was aired as the forty-third and final episode of the broadcast series.
*Every Autobot Pretender apart from Metalhawk has been missing for 4 episodes. Grand Maximus finally elaborates on where they have been in this episode, telling us they have been tending to disasters around the world.
:Dinoking is a Decepticon Combiner from the Victory portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Dinoking is the combination of all six Dinoforce warriors. With the bodies and minds of all six members combined into one he is the top Decepticon when it comes to mindless violence. He enhances the natural abilities of all the members of the force and adds a few of his own. His brain power however, is about the same as any individual Dinoforce member, and he is somewhat insubordinate when it comes to taking orders and prefers to go about fighting in his own fashion.

Dinoking has a fierce rivalry with the Autobot Combiner, Landcross. He will stop at nothing to destroy his enemy.

Dinoking is composed of:

*Gōryū (leader)
*Kakuryū
*Gairyū
*Yokuryū
*Rairyū

The Dinoforce used Dinoking for the first time when they battled the Brainmasters. The Dinoforce got their butts kicked, until Gōryū gave the order to combine into Dinoking. Now they could easily take on the Brainmasters, though Holi, watching them on the main screen at Galaxy Base, was unimpressed with the new gestalt. His appraisal was proven correct when Star Saber shortly arrived and slashed Dinoking, causing him to split into his components. Sneak Attack! Dinoking

In an attempt to please Deathsaurus, Leozack took the Dinoforce to attack Star Saber at Jean's new school. The three Brainmasters arrived and angered Gōryū with insults, prompting him to command another Dinoking fusion. The Brainmasters responded by combining into the mighty Road Caesar and were able to defeat the Dinoforce easily. Attack! Leozack

When the Breastforce came up with a plan to capture a power plant, the Dinoforce was sent to carry it out. The Multiforce arrived to stop them, but Gōryū ordered his team to combine. Dinoking fought them and weakened the Multiforce until Machtackle suggested they too combine. Leozack blocked their first attempt, then berated Dinoking over the amount of damage they were causing to the plant. After Drillhorn also got on Dinoking's case, the Multiforce combined into Landcross and challenged Dinoking to a fight. This proved unwise, as Landcross was almost beaten to death by Dinoking, Leozack and Drillhorn until Star Saber arrived. Dinoking almost defeated Star Saber, but only because the Autobot leader was holding back until the civilians were evacuated. Once that was done, Star Saber trounced Dinoking easily, forcing the Dinoforce to separate and retreat.Unite!! Multiforce

Leozack then approached Dinoforce while they were relaxing on an island and ordered them to attack a children's amusement park. The Autobot Brainmasters and Rescue Patrol Team arrived to confront them, but Dinoking's battle with Road Caesar was cut short when Leozack abandoned the combiner. Dinoking retreated too, but the Dinoforce were still amused by Leozack's toadying to Deathsaurus. Move Out! Rescue Team

The Decepticon Breastforce took control of a mine and needed the Dinoforce to help take its energy. Angered when Star Saber's ran his V-Star into him, Gōryū ordered his team to form Dinoking. However, one blow from Star Saber's sword again forced them back into their single robot modes. Infiltration... The Uranium Mine

It would be some time before Dinoking would show himself again. In an attempt to calm Deathsaurus's growing anger, Drillhorn came up with a plan to steal a tanker full of energy. At the same time, the Dinoforce would plant a bomb in the city to keep the Autobots at bay. After battling Star Saber and the Brainmasters as a group, they merged into Dinoking to finish off the Autobots, but Star Saber kept Dinoking at bay till until Braver was able to find the bomb. Then Blacker and Laster joined the fight, and the Breastforce and Dinoforce retreated, the plan having ended in failure. Tanker Hijack Operation

Dinoking was needed again in Hellbat's latest plan, which involved kidnapping Jean and Holi. Kakuryū was unsure about the way Hellbat treated them, and Jean and Holi were able to fool Kakuryū and sneak out. Soon after, Star Saber and Galaxy Shuttle arrived. Dinoking battled Star Saber, but turned and ran when Galaxy Shuttle transformed. Rescue Jean!!

Dinoking, Leozack and Hellbat attacked an energy stockpile in the middle of nowhere, but the raid was stopped by a new Autobot: the rebuilt God Ginrai, now called Victory Leo. After Leo easily defeated Leozack, Hellbat and their Breast Animals, Dinoking attempted to stop the Autobot by tossing a massive energy container on him, but Leo shot the container and almost vaporised Dinoking. It was not pretty. Fight!! Victory Leo

Dinoking reappeared a little bit later when the Decepticons attacked Jean's school again. This time, however, he was up against Star Saber and Victory Leo's new, combined form, Victory Saber. Despite Dinoking having a new weapon, the Dinoblaster cannon, he was still defeated by the Autobot and forced back into his individual robot modes yet again. Jean - Defend the Campus!!

After Deathsaurus abandoned the Dinoforce, they continued to attack cities as Dinoking, unaware of the betrayal. They faced Victory Leo and Star Saber again, but when the two Autobots fled, he believed they were fleeing from him — until he turned around and saw the incoming meteor fired by Deathsaurus's fortress. Dinoking was blasted apart by the explosion, and a badly-damaged Gōryū was rushed to Autobot Shuttle base for repairs. The Wrath of the Resurrected Giant Fortress!
The Dinoforce were laying waste to a city, eventually combining into Dinoking for the kill. Their rampage was cut short when the Multiforce combiner, Landcross, arrived. Much later, when Dinoking finally showed himself again, Star Saber was forced to battle Deathsaurus, Liokaiser and Dinoking all at once. Before they could destroy him, a new Autobot warrior named Victory Leo arrived and struck back. Star Saber and Victory Leo combined into the powerful Autobot Victory Saber and were able to defeat their enemies with their "Flash Victory" attack. The Strongest Partners, the Combination of Victory!
: Dinoking is formed by combining the six members of the Dinoforce, who were available both individually and as a giftset. He is a redeco of the Pretender Monster combiner Monstructor. Much like the earlier Transformer combiner teams, Dinoking requires the attachment of separate accessories—his head, waist, fists and feet—to complete his robot mode. However, unlike earlier combiners, the separate pieces can all be stored on the individual team members; they fit on Dinoforce's Pretender shells. As his individual components are not much larger than Micromasters, Dinoking is the smallest of the Generation 1 combiners, standing about the same height as regular toys like Hot Rod... yes, even shorter than the Micromaster Six-Teams' combined forms.
Road Caesar (ロード シーザー Rōdo Shīzā) is the combined form of the Brainmasters, and a warrior almost without compare. Unlike many of his combiner predecessors, who suffered from limited intelligence or other impairments when combined, Road Caesar is a perfect fusion of his component members. He brings together the strength of Blacker, the skill of Laster and the intelligence of Braver to create a being of truly indomitable fighting spirit. If one were to call Star Saber the “king of the skies,” then there's no question that Road Caesar is king of the land. And when these two kings fight side by side, the Decepticons always know they're in for a royal thrashing.

Road Caesar wields the mighty “Road Blade”, a massive sword formed from the combination of Blacker, Braver and Laster's individual blades. But even this weapon pales in comparison to his “Brain Wheel Shocker” technique, which sees Road Caesar launch rings of super-energy from all twelve of his tires. Even his opposite number, the Decepticon Liokaiser, can't stand up to this automotive onslaught.
When Leozack and the Dinoforce attacked Jean's new school on his first day of class, the Brainmasters sped onto the scene to aid Star Saber in defending the institution. The Dinoforce immediately merged into Dinoking, but the Brainmasters were unimpressed and responded in kind, fusing into Road Caesar for their first combiner battle on Earth. While Star Saber dealt with Leozack, Road Caesar sent Dinoking tumbling off a nearby cliff, forcing the villains to retreat. Attack! Leozack

The Brainmasters next combined to defend the Ocean Exhibition amusement park against another attack by Leozack and the Dinoforce. Surrounded by the prehistoric pests, the team merged into Road Caesar with the intention of ending the battle quickly, but the Dinoforce quickly combined into Dinoking to fight back. The two combiners grappled hand-to-hand before drawing their weapons, at which point the sight of the retreating Leozack distracting Dinoking. Nearly sent toppling into the ocean by Road Caesar, the Dinoforce combiner opted to follow Leozack's example, leaving Road Caesar and Star Saber victorious once more. {{storylink|Move Out!
It was some time before the Brainmasters had to form Road Caesar again, but the time eventually came when the Decepticons attacked the Schaeffer Energy plant in America. Star Saber was forced to hold up a collapsing tower until Jean and the Rescue Patrol Team could evacuate the plant's human staff, forcing the Brainmasters to step up to the plate and face off against the Breastforce's combined form of Liokaiser. Road Caesar didn't fare very well in the battle, but he held his own long enough for the evacuation to be completed, freeing up Star Saber to take over the fight and defeat Liokaiser. Battle Up of Wrath!!

Soon after, the Brainmasters were lured into the desert by the Breastforce for a rematch, where Laster and Braver found themselves sinking beneath the shifting sands. Still able to manoeuvre thanks to his dune buggy alternate mode, Blacker was able to combine with his teammates in an attempt at pulling them, but Road Caesar only wound up sinking deeper into the sand. The combiner instead tried to focus his energy to boost his strength, but in doing so, left himself wide open to an attack from behind by Gaihawk, who injured Blacker so badly with his “Ice Needle” attack that he was forcibly disengaged from the other Brainmasters. Star Saber soon arrived to rescue the team, but Blacker was left badly wounded and out of action for some time. Crisis! Ambush in the Desert

The Brainmasters did not form Road Caesar again until Deathsaurus unleashed his Planet-Destroying Fortress upon the Earth. As Road Caesar, the trio were the first to engage the fortress in battle in space, and the first to feel its power, as they narrowly dodged one of its devastating beam attacks. With Greatshot to back him up, Road Caesar gave it his all, but the Autobots' attacks delivered virtually no damage to the fortress's tough armor and eventually, the fortress's weapons struck down the two warriors just as Star Saber arrived to take their place. The Wrath of the Resurrected Giant Fortress! Ordered back to Earth to recuperate, the Brainmasters were left unable to participate in the final battle thanks to their wounds, but Star Saber was still able to destroy the fortress and best Deathsaurus once and for all. {{storylink|Showdown!
Road Caesar's first foray onto the battlefield on Earth was not an impressive one. Alongside Star Saber, he raced to the aid of Landcross, who had been defeated by Deathsaurus in a burning forest. With a single swipe, Deathsaurus flattened Star Saber and split Road Caesar back into his component parts; he had super-charged his strength by drawing energy from the forest fire raging around them. Luckily, thanks to a distraction inadvertently caused by Deathsaurus' adopted human son Solon, Star Saber was able to overpower the Decepticon leader and defeat him. Great Turn-Around! Star Saber

Later, when Star Saber was faced with the combined might of Deathsaurus, Dinoking and Liokaiser, Road Caesar was unable to get to his leader in time to help him. Fortunately, the new warrior Victory Leo came to the commander's aid, merging with him to form Victory Saber. In this new form, Star Saber sent the Decepticons packing, just as Road Caesar and Landcross arrived to watch. The Strongest Partners, the Combination of Victory!

During a later battle between Victory Saber and the Brainmasters, and Deathsaurus and Liokaiser, the Decepticons gained the upper hand when Blacker broke off the fight and pursued Solon, who was beginning to doubt his allegiances. Blacker convinced Solon to join the Autobots team of human allies, the Victories, then quickly rejoined his team-mates and merged with Laster and Braver into Road Caesar. The Victories then channelled their energy into their Autobot counterparts for a final attack; boosted by the power of Solon's strength, Shūta's intelligence and Cab's skill, Road Caesar joined with Victory Saber in unleashing the “Victory Caliber” attack, sending the Decepticons fleeing off to their space. Shine! The Five Stars of Victory

The Decepticons soon returned and began bombarding Earth with meteors from their “Space Stronghold”. Road Caesar and the other Autobots headed into space to confront the villains; the Brainmasters split back into their individual forms and burst into the fortress in vehicle mode, but quickly recombined to continue the battle. Things were brought to a sudden halt when Deathsaurus revealed the true secret of the fortress: it was home to the Decepticons' families, who they simply wanted to keep safe. Road Caesar and the others reacted with slack-jawed amazement to this revelation, until Star Saber and Deathsaurus decided that it was time to lay down their arms and work together for peace in the future – the truest victory of all! {{storylink|Heroic! :Road Caesar's individual components were available both separately and in a giftset. The team's method of combination is distinctly non-standard, with Laster and Braver serving as one leg each and Blacker forming everything from the thighs up. Silly child-bearing hips aside, the toy is particularly impressive for the time in its lack of “combiner kibble”: all of the additional components required to complete Road Caesar are integrated parts of the individual Blacker, Braver and Laster toys: his chestplate, feet and leg armor are made from the individual robots' shields, while his fists and head are formed from their guns. The three robots' small swords combine to form Road Caesar's large “Road Blade” sword.

:The individual Brainmasters' moulds were later used to make the Motorvators (Flame, Gripper and Lightspeed), but the new toys did not come with the shields or guns necessary to form Road Caesar.

At dawn, the people of Japan are awakening to do their daily tasks: fishing, going to shrines, and sword practice. Then, the Decepticons show up to cause random trouble.

Devastator and Predaking begin harassing a few fishermen, but are chased off by Broadside. Astrotrain tries to ram a train head on (real smart) only to have the Aerialbots drive him away. Bruticus and Defensor fight it out, when Cyclonus and the Sweeps arrive, but are driven off by Rodimus, Kup, and Sky Lynx. However, instead of thanking the Autobots for saving many lives, the government of Japan is very upset, saying that the Autobots frightened people and ruined business (thankless bipeds). When Marissa Faireborn arrives and brings more problems to Rodimus, the Autobot leader loses patience, transforms, and drives off. Kup explains that Rodimus is merely strained under the burden of command, much like Optimus Prime was in his early days as leader, and Marissa decides to follow him, to let him have someone to talk to.

Meeting up on the highway, however, the two are attacked by Wildrider and Dead End, who knock Marissa into a lake and force Rodimus off a cliff. When they inspect Rodimus, they find the Matrix. Realizing that Galvatron will be really happy, they steal it and return to Chaar. In his throne room, Galvatron inserts the Matrix into his cannon, but instead of making it even more powerful like he had hoped, visions of the Ancient Autobots (including Optimus Prime himself) seep out of the barrel and demand that Galvatron return the Matrix. Galvatron orders Scourge to destroy the Matrix, believing it better to be destroyed if the Decepticons can't have it. Scourge, however, inserts the Matrix into himself, and becomes more powerful... but at a startling price.

Meanwhile, the Autobot leader wakes up, to learn that he's reverted to Hot Rod. Springer and Ultra Magnus argue that they should go after the Decepticons, but Hot Rod feels that the Matrix isn't worth it, and jets off. Real smart idea, Roddy. On Chaar, Scourge challenges Galvatron, defeating him and Cyclonus easily, before leading the Decepticons off to Earth. Galvatron and Cyclonus still function, and set off in pursuit in the Revenge.

On Earth, Hot Rod, while watching a martial arts class, gets some perspective and some wisdom from the Kendo instructor, and realizes that he needs to get the Matrix back. Meanwhile, Scourge arrives in Japan with his forces, tossing around the Autobots. Broadside tosses him to the ground and he frightens an elderly woman. One of the Kendo students comes to her aid, attacking Scourge with a sword and he begins to chase the pair. He corners them in a blind alley, only for Hot Rod to arrive. Shocked at the changes the Matrix has wrought in Scourge, Hot Rod defeats the Decepticon and reclaims the Matrix, becoming Rodimus Prime once more. Galvatron and Cyclonus find a less powerful, and very frightened, Scourge. And they are none too happy with him...

As the Decepticons retreat, Rodimus realizes that he must deal with his missing part, as have those who came before him. Kup reminds him that no matter who carries the Matrix, he will retain that part forever.
:—Kup and Rodimus Prime

Notes
Animation or technical glitches
* When Rodimus is reverted back to Hot Rod, he's still occasionally drawn using Rodimus Prime's character model.
* For some reason, the EDC logo on Marissa Faireborne's shoulder has been replaced with "AOC".
* When Galvatron is about to put the Matrix in his cannon, Bruticus and Devastator are among the Decepticons present, and even though they are closer to the viewer, both are smaller than Cyclonus, who is standing in front of them.
* Galvatron's throne changes color and design multiple times throughout one scene.
* When Galvatron opens the airlock aboard the Decepticon flagship before his attack on Scourge, the hatch door has "AIR LOOK" written on it.
* When Hot Rod regains the Matrix, he sticks it into his chest without opening a compartment for it.
* In one scene where Optimus Prime is shown among the ancient Autobots, he is colored completely blue.
* The version of this episode on the Shout! Factory DVDs features a glitch with an unstable horizontal line appearing at the top of the picture throughout the episode. The error appears to be on the episode's master copy, as the version included on the Kid Rhino DVDs has the picture slightly zoomed in order to avoid showing the offending line.

Continuity errors
* Just before he quits the Autobots, Hot Rod states that "this war has been going on now for a few dozen millennia". Back in "War Dawn", we learned that the Third Cybertronian War started nine million years ago, which is about 750 dozen millennia... assuming, of course, that we want to take Hot Rod's pointedly off-handed remark as being based on historical accuracy, which is kind of a stretch for a guy who's at the end of his rope and sarcastically railing about "the known universe and its outlying suburbs".

Transformers references
* When Galvatron inserts the Matrix into his cannon, he says "Now, all shall become one, under Galvatron's rule!"
* Optimus Prime is among the Ancient Autobots.
* This episode marks the last appearance of Springer, Broadside, Astrotrain and Marissa Faireborn in US continuity.

Japanese version
* When they recover the Matrix of Leadership, the Narrator mistakenly identifies Wildrider and Dead End as Runabout and Runamuck.

Trivia
* While the episode order can vary, it's a little funny that the episode about Rodimus finally getting used to being leader of the Autobots was followed by the episode in which Optimus returns to replace him.
* One of the "ghosts" emerging from the Matrix when Galvatron puts it into his chest is based on a generic character design that was previously seen in "Desertion of the Dinobots, Part 2" and "The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1". His colors have changed, though, and he dropped the antennas on the sides of his head he sported in "The Key to Vector Sigma".
* The yellow, the red and the orange-and-blue Matrix ghosts' character models were reused in the Japanese The Headmasters cartoon as various generic Autobots.
* When Scourge starts mutating, at one point it looks like he's... crying?
* Wildrider seems to now have a very bad Southern accent.
* This episode marks the first time in Transformers fiction that the word slag is used as an insult.
* Isn't it convenient that Scourge launches his attack on Earth in Japan, where the Autobots happen to be located?
* The voice acting for several Japanese characters in this episode employs a very stereotypical Western view of Asian people and their pronunciation of English words.

:Road Caesar is an Autobot combiner from the Victory portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Fiction
Cartoon continuity
Victory cartoon
:Voice actor: Kōji Totani (Japanese)

Move Out! Rescue Team

[[Image:Roadcaesar greatshot vs fortress.jpg|right|180px|thumb|"Danger knows full well that Caesar is more dangerous than he:
We are two lions litter'd in one day, and I the elder and more terrible."]]

Showdown! The Fortress vs the Victory Unification

Zone cartoon
When the wounded Star Saber passed the mantle of leadership to Dai Atlas, Road Caesar was among the Autobots standing onstage during the ceremony. Enter the New Supreme Commander, Dai Atlas!

*Road Caesar (1989)
**Japanese ID number: C-323
**Component members/Accessories: Blacker (chestplate, head, and sword); Laster (leg armor, right fist, and sword); Braver (leg armor, left fist and sword)

:A small, pink, non-transforming super deformed model kit of Road Caesar was available as part of Kabaya's Parody Deformed line of candy toys. The eighteenth figure in the series, he came with a Transformer PD Type comic about himself, "So Fast! :A PVC figurine of Road Caesar was available in the seventh Victory-centric wave of Takara's " Super Collection Figure line. Like all figures in the wave, Road Caesar was available in both full color and metallic silver "pewter" variants, at an even ratio of one of each per case of twelve figures. The pewter version of the figure also came with a "backpack" piece that could combine with the act's Star Saber figurine to transform him into Victory Saber (with the other necessary parts being included with the other pewter figures in the wave). In eight out of every ten cases, the parts were in full color; in the remaining two, they were pewter.
Notes
*Road Caesar is featured in one of Victorys distinctive super-deformed commercial bumpers, but for unknown reasons, it was used only once in the series, as the last bumper played in the combiner's debut episode, "Attack! Leozack".

*In some episode's instead of their usual background stock footage, they use Star Saber's background footage.

*Road Caesar is on of the more unusual combiner's were Blacker becomes the most of the body and Laster and Braver just become the legs.
