'''Lightfoot''' was born in [[United Kingdom|England]] and raised in [[Canada]], and at seventeen years old, is heir to the prestigious [[British Motors]] automotive company founded by his father, [[Leftfoot]]. Although positively ''rolling'' in money and prestige, Lightfoot has been raised to never forget his humble beginnings, and has grown up to be a gentle, polite, well-spoken man who only ever puts his position to use if it will help one of his friends. His desire to protect his fellow man makes him a natural Autobot, but there ''are'' times when he's entirely ''too'' willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of someone else.

As an [[Autobot]] [[Godmaster]], Lightfoot is bonded to a [[Transtector]] from the [[G Nebula 89|G Nebula]] which takes the form of a sports car able to attain speeds of Mach 10. Like all Godmasters, he is endowed with the ability to manipulate [[Chōkon Power]], with his specialty being the control of water. This power is epitomized in his “Land Waterfall” attack, which allows him to strike his enemies down with high-pressure jets of water summoned up from beneath the earth.

When Lightfoot was born, his father, Leftfoot, was working in a run-down automotive repair shop in England with dreams of designing and building cars himself. Moving the family to Canada in pursuit of his dream, Leftfoot toiled to create the prototype for his first car design, even mining his own ore. Leftfoot finally completed his prototype on the night of Lightfoot's second birthday, but as the family slept that night, the car erupted with iridescent light, which shone through the windows of their house and bathed the infant Lightfoot in its glow. It would be years before the truth was ever known, but Lightfoot's father had, in fact, discovered one of the [[Transtector]]s hidden on [[Earth]] by the evil alien [[Devil Z]], and mined this strange black rock as ore that he used in the construction of his car. Fifteen years later, Leftfoot gifted the original car to Lightfoot for his seventeenth birthday, but after driving it for the first time, Lightfoot found his dreams plagued by visions of a giant robot. Soon after, Lightfoot happened to see the Autobot named [[Ginrai]] appearing on television as part of an attempt to locate the other Godmasters scattered across the world, and with nothing to lose, sent Ginrai a letter, including a drawing of the robot from his dreams. Intrigued by the drawing, Ginrai headed for Canada and met with Lightfoot, hearing his life story and seeing the famous car. Lightfoot allowed him to drive the car, which only served to increase Ginrai's suspicions, at which point he handed Lightfoot a pair of [[Master-Brace]]s. When Lightfoot donned the bracelets, his body was immediately enveloped in a suit of armor, proving that he was, indeed, the next Autobot Godmaster, and that his car was his Transtector. Following Ginrai's directions, Lightfoot combined with his car, transforming into the robot from his own dreams, only to be suddenly attacked by the three [[Decepticon]] [[Pretender|Pretenders]]. Fleeing back to the British Motors factory, Lightfoot battled with [[Blood]] while Ginrai tangled with [[King Poseidon]]. Ginrai brought Lightfoot to the [[Ocean Research Institute of California]], where he was introduced to the other Autobot Pretenders and [[Headmaster Junior|Headmaster Juniors]] and suggested that they continue their search for the next Godmaster in the Rocky Mountains, where his father found the ore used in his Transtector. Although the mine itself yielded no results, the group encountered a forest patrolman named [[Ranger]], who proved to be the third Autobot Godmaster. {{storylink|An Enemy? Taking a break from the search for the Godmasters, Lightfoot invited the Headmaster Juniors to accompany him to the Rouen Circuit in [[France]], where British Motors were competing in the F1 World Grand Prix. Lightfoot admitted that they didn't have much chance against the reigning champ [[Road King]], but happily introduced [[Shūta Gō|Shūta]] and [[Cab]] to the racer so they could get autographs from him. Lightfoot soon found himself targeted by the Decepticon Godmasters [[Hydra (Masterforce)|Hydra]] and [[Buster (Masterforce)|Buster]], who had decided to divide and conquer the Autobots, with Lightfoot being the unlucky first choice. While filming a commercial for British Motors with Road King, Lightfoot received word from a panicked secretary that Leftfoot had been kidnapped, and immediately raced to the factory building where the evil brothers were holding his father. Unable to make a move, Lightfoot nearly had his Master-Braces (and hands!) cut off by Hydra, but the other Autobot Godmasters arrived just in time to help. The heroes successfully routed the brothers, and in gratitude, Leftfoot allowed the Autobots to use the British Motors factory to construct their new [[Godbomber]] drone. {{storylink|Life? Death? The Desperate Lightfoot}} The factory soon came under attack by Decepticons seeking to destroy Godbomber, but Lightfoot was able to take down Blood and [[Dauros]] while Road King led Hydra and Buster away into the forest. When Decepticon construction on the ocean floor off the coast of [[Australia]] caused an earthquake in Sydney, Lightfoot headed beneath the waves to investigate, discovering that the villains had reawakened a dormant underwater volcano. Lightfoot was attacked by a swarm of Seacons and sent tumbling into a sub-sea chasm, and when Ginrai arrived to rescue him, the pair were buried in an avalanche by King Poseidon. The volcano erupted as they attempted to dig themselves out, and Lightfoot, desperate to save his commander from the magma flow, attempted to self-destruct and blow up the rock wall. Ginrai was forced to punch some sense into Lightfoot, and fortunately for both of them, Godbomber arrived to break them free. Luck seemed to be on the Autobots' side when they were joined by the final Godmaster, [[Clouder]], but in truth, he was a Decepticon double agent sent to infiltrate their base. When Clouder's true identity was revealed, Lightfoot joined in the battle to take him down, but was soon called away from the base alongside Ginrai and the other Godmasters to deal with an attack by Hydra and Buster on a nearby city. {{storylink|Secret Orders! As Decepticon attacks across the Earth increased, Lightfoot went up against Overlord in Southern Europe {{storylink|God Ginrai - Save Cancer!?}} and Hydra and Buster in West [[Germany]] {{storylink|God Ginrai: Showdown at the Decepticon Base}} and then joined in an all-out Autobot attack on the Decepticon headquarters, during which Devil Z and BlackZarak fused together. {{storylink|The Ultimate Combination!! BlackZarak, the New Lifeform}} With the Decepticons on the run, the Autobots pursued them to the [[Grand Canyon]], where the team of Lightfoot and Road King came under attack from the Decepticon Pretenders, and were then trapped in a cave by Hydra and Buster. During the final battle, Devil Z possessed BlackZarak and turned on the other Decepticons, intending to absorb their Jinchōkon in order to become the ultimate lifeform. As the light from the explosion faded, Lightfoot was the first to notice that the humans' Master-Braces had vanished from their wrists, and more shocks were to follow as it turned out that all the Autobots and Decepticons' Transtectors had come to life as true super-robot lifeforms. Hailing from East [[Germany]], '''Buster''' was a deejay before he and his older brother, [[Hydra (Masterforce)|Hydra]] were recruited by the [[Decepticon|Decepticons]]. He is an enigmatic sort who does not really have much of a personality of his own, instead serving as a (vaguely creepy) extension of his brother's whim, following his lead in combat and turning to him for direction in all things. While Buster is not nearly as cruel and detached as the sociopathic Hydra, he remains a fearsome fighter of great power.

Buster and Hydra were in North America when they were approached by [[Giga]] and [[Mega]], agents of the Decepticon leader [[Devil Z]], and bonded to a pair of Transtectors that had taken the forms of jet planes. {{storylink|A Hero Is Chosen - His Name Is Ginrai}} The brothers were brought to a hidden island, where they were trained in the use of their new Godmaster powers until it was decided that they join up with the rest of the Decepticons already operating under the command of [[Blood]]. Blood's [[Pretender]]s and [[Headmaster Junior]]s were summoned to the island, where Buster and Hydra, disguised in suits of medieval armor, promptly attacked and bested them as a demonstration of their powers. Blood bristled at the notion that two humans could be stronger than true Decepticons, and challenged the two Godmasters to prove themselves by attacking the [[Mt Fuji Foothills Hang Gliding Competition Tournament]]. It just so happened that the [[Autobot]] Headmaster Juniors were participating in the contest, leading to a battle between the Godmaster brothers and the Autobot Pretenders. Although they had their Autobot foes massively overpowered, the arrival of [[Metalhawk]] left them outnumbered, and the brothers opted to withdraw. {{storylink|Super Warriors - The Godmaster Brothers}} Buster and Hydra next went into battle when the Decepticons attacked the tidal power plant on [[Karin Islands|Viscas Island]], but the battle was brought to an end when the Autobot [[Diver (Masterforce)|Diver]] was able to lodge his Sea Axe in Buster’s arm. Unable to heal the wound, Buster panicked and Hydra called retreat. When Mega and Giga revealed that there were other Godmaster on Earth, Buster and Hydra were charged with locating them before the Autobots did. Hydra decided that they would search North America first, on the basis that it was where they became Godmasters themselves, and with a little help from the Headmaster Juniors, the brothers were soon on the trail of a mysterious truck that had been rumoured to be able to heal any damage to itself. The brothers found the truck crashed at the bottom of a cliff along with the Autobot Diver, but when they attempted to take it, the truck's driver, [[Ginrai]], revealed that he was indeed a Godmaster, and that that truck was his Transtector, by transforming to robot mode for the first time. Shocked by what they had witnessed, Buster and Hydra retreated. {{storylink|A Hero Is Chosen - His Name Is Ginrai}} Before long, however, the brothers were back on Ginrai's trail, and attacked numerous tractor trailers in their search for him, killing many of Ginrai's trucker friends before finally locating him. When [[Cancer]] was captured by the Autobots for interrogation, Buster and Hydra arrived to retrieve him. The Autobots released their prisoner, but Hydra immediately discovered a homing beacon planted on Cancer's shirt, and attacked the Autobots in retribution. During the fight, Buster seized the Autobot [[Minerva]] and placed his blaster to her head, only to have Cancer snatch her away, begging that nobody be killed. This distraction turned the tide of the battle and forced the villains to fall back. {{storylink|A Strange Friendship: Cancer and Minerva}} Things didn't go much better during the brothers' next battle with Ginrai, at Mount Yatsugatake in Nagano, where the brothers were blasted by Ginrai's newly-obtained trailer. {{storylink|Friend or Foe!? Hungry for revenge, Buster and Hydra were not content simply with destroying Ginrai, but also sought to discredit him and the Autobots into the bargain. Luring Ginrai into a battle in a city, the brothers loudly blamed him for starting the battle so that the population could overhear, and then summoned some [[Lobclaw]] [[Seacon (Masterforce)|Seacons]] to finish the Autobot off. Luckily, Diver and [[Lander]] arrived to deal with the Seacons, and the enraged Ginrai unleashed a blast of Chōkon Power that saw the villains off. {{storylink|Eliminate the Godmaster Ginrai}}

Learning that Ginrai had appeared on a television show in an attempt to find the remaining Godmasters on Earth, Buster and Hydra tried menacing a producer at the TV station in order to find out what Ginrai had learned from the correspondence that had come in. The tactic had no luck, so they resorted to searching the continent with the help of the Pretenders; the Pretenders later found Ginrai in [[Canada]], but were unable to stop the next Godmaster, [[Lightfoot]] from joining the Autobots. {{storylink|Lightfoot: A Dramatic Encounter}} After this failure, the Decepticons were even more determined to recruit the next Godmaster, a Canadian forest patrolman named [[Ranger]]. During the battle with the Autobots that resulted in the Rocky Mountains, however, Buster and Hydra were left badly outnumbered and had to flee when the Headmaster Juniors abandoned them out of spite after they carelessly put [[Wilder]] in danger in their zeal to destroy Ginrai. {{storylink|An Enemy? Buster and Hydra stepped back from the front lines for a short time, instead trying their hand at formulating a plan for the Pretenders to carry out. This outlandish plot to capture doctors was soon botched, much to their distaste, {{storylink|Save the Little Girl! The Chōjin Warriors, the Godmasters}} and they again took an active hand in matters, starting with a scheme to divide and conquer the Autobot Godmasters, starting with Lightfoot. Hydra put his makeup talents to use disguising himself and Buster as reporters so that they could get close to Lightfoot's father [[Leftfoot]] and take him prisoner. The brothers sent a message to Lightfoot, who was faced with the choice of either joining the Autobots or having his [[Master-Brace|Master-Braces]] (and hands!) cut off, but luckily, the other Autobot Godmasters soon arrived to help give the Darkwings Brothers one of their most severe beatings yet. When Buster's arm was actually torn off, the horrified Hydra called retreat, but they weren't above spitefully blowing up some factory buildings as they left. {{storylink|Life? Death? After serving as chauffeurs for Mega when she was posing as a fortune teller, {{storylink|Expose the Decepticons' Dark Trap!}} Buster and Hydra were next charged with destroying Ginrai's trailer. By posing as a movie producer, Hydra was able to lure Ginrai into a desert under auspices of performing some stunt-driving, while Buster planted the explosive charges that would be used in the stunt. A hidden, extra charge separated Ginrai from his trailer, and the brothers combined into Darkwings in an attempt to destroy the latter component. Before they could strike, Ginrai merged with his trailer and blew the villains out of the air with his Special Fire Guts attack. Decepticon leaders Giga and Mega unveiled their Godmaster warriors, Hydra and Buster, to the world by sending them to "welcome" the Autobot Godmaster, Ginrai, to Japan. After bombing Tokyo on their way to Harumi Wharf, Hydra and Buster merged into Darkwings and immediately attacked Metalhawk and the Autobot Headmaster Juniors, who were at the wharf awaiting Ginrai's arrival. After taking the Juniors out of the fight, the brothers then transformed into robot mode to tackle Metalhawk, but thankfully, Ginrai chose that moment to make his entrance and promptly launched the villains over the horizon with a blast of Chōkon Power. {{storylink|Enter on the Stage! When the Autobots traveled to the planet [[Athenia]] so that Ginrai could be appointed [[Supreme Commander]], Hydra and Buster followed, joining up with the other Decepticons out in space and attacking the planet with [[Scramble 7]]. The Autobots were able to defeat Scramble 7, but Buster and Hydra informed them that they had been united under the leadership of Devil Z, and were heading back to Earth to await the Autobots' return. {{storylink|The Battle Begins! Hydra and Buster later joined the other Decepticons in an attack on Tokyo, {{storylink|God Ginrai's Amazing Super-God Combination!}}, battled the Autobot Godmasters and [[Grand Maximus]] in space {{storylink|The Earth Family of Good and Evil}} and lured Ginrai into a Decepticon ambush atop [[Mount Everest]]. {{storylink|Decepticons' Great Counterattack!}} Eventually, the two brothers had Devil Z transform them into entirely robotic beings, and joined him in attacking the other Autobots and Decepticons as he attempted to drain their Jinchōkon and become the ultimate lifeform. The Autobots and Decepticons struck back by combining their powers together into the "Perfect Transform Attack", destroying Devil Z for good.
