Synopsis
Drones and Generals surround the Big Floating Head. The Generals question whether anyone survived, but Megatron can sense Primal's Spark. His orders are simple: capture the Sparks, destroy the Maximals. Megatron confers with a Diagnostic Drone on the status of his new body.

The Vehicons initiate field repairs on all drones, which buys the Maximals time. Rattrap despairs; they're utterly without power. But Botanica unmelts out of the floor; she's found a power conduit they can tap into. Rattrap is overjoyed to see... the power supply. Yeah! Silverbolt notes that they get only one shot; they'll be cut off as soon as the power flow is detected. As the Vehicons move in, the Maximals prepare their final defenses. Blackarachnia and Silverbolt share a quiet moment before the battle begins, as do Rattrap and Botanica.

Primal pays a visit to the Spark chamber, calling upon the Oracle one final time. A Spark-filled vision overtakes him, and the Oracle speaks: "You already have the wisdom, along with the strength of your convictions." And the Sparks speak as one, offering their strength. When he returns to where Cheetor is working, he has a Spark-colored glow about him; the other Maximals receive a similar Spark boost.

The group steps outside, where Optimus gives one final pep talk. A holographic Megatron-head presents itself to them just then, offering to relieve them of their Sparks painlessly. The Maximals are having none of it, so the Vehicons move in.

The Maximals wait a moment, then activate the shield, causing the first wave of drones to crash and explode. When the Generals try their harmonics trick again, they discover that the harmonics are changing randomly. The Vehicons resort to a kamikaze strategy, drones ramming the shield to deplete it. It doesn't take long for the shield to go down, and the battle is joined.

No words, no sounds, just ominous music as the Maximals deploy everything they've got, before falling back to the ship's entry point.

Far below the surface, a group of mole miners suddenly burst into the orchard chamber, and proceeds to destroy it. It doesn't take Botanica long to notice this: she reels in pain. She hauls Nightscream and Rattrap underground to go fight the drones.

Three tank drones, carried in by copter drones, manage to get through the Maximals; Primal goes after them. Botanica's group finishes a harrowing decent and immediately finds themselves under mole miner attack. They dispose of them, Rattrap commandeering one and using it to total another. Nightscream goes after another mole that's heading for the fossil chamber and destroys it, only to have another pop up in its place. Above, another mole unleashes a napalm-style attack on the orchard, intending to burn the DNA out of existence.

Elsewhere, Megatron's new body is complete...

Primal chases the tank drones through the Grand Mal. He blows up one... and when he rounds a corner to find the others waiting for him, the Sparks within him begin to glow... and surround him... and then vaporize the tanks. The other Maximals find the same happening to them, and drones are vaped left and right, both above and below the surface.

But part of the Oracle is Megatron's, and he cuts the connection. The Maximals' Spark boost is cut short.

Thrust, meanwhile, singles out Silverbolt for attack, prepared to deal with the "traitor". Thrust drops him and blasts a radio tower down on him. Blackarachnia is prepared to take vengeance, till Obsidian drops her from behind.

As Primal finds himself Sparkless and prepares to deal with the tank drones the "old fashioned way", a battle-worn Cheetor confronts all three Generals solo. They fire; when the smoke clears, only a hole in the ground is left. The Generals move in, blasting into the Grand Mal. They enter into darkness within. Suddenly, massive machinery activates, as Cheetor brings the anti-gravity generators on-line. Cheetor rises from the shadows, as a roof hatch opens above the Generals. Thrust has presence of mind to scoot, but Obsidian and Strika are blasted up and away, all the way to orbital space.

Megatron tries out his new body in a shadow-filled, nasty room. He is alive again!

Cheetor confronts Thrust. Thrust pulls out a Spark extractor... and derisively tosses it aside. As they battle, Cheetor gets tossed aside, then grapple-hooked. But as he's dragged along, he grabs Thrust's discarded Spark extractor, and turns it on Thrust. Thrust's body falls and his lights switch out. Victorious, Cheetor looks up and sees a shadow: "Big Bot?" he asks, confused. But it's Megatron, who zaps him.

Optimus soon finds himself confronting the new Megatron, who blasts him with a glowing light from one extended hand. Megatron he steps out of the shadows to stand over his enemy, now wearing the Optimal Optimus body form, with a slightly-altered face. He tells Primal that the day of the Maximals is at an end.

Elsewhere, drones begin hauling out Spark extractors, and de-sparking the various downed Maximals. Megatron tells Optimus that now... it's his turn.
Notes
Continuity Errors
*In "Revelations Part II: Descent", Optimal Optimus is shown in Tankor's memories, devolving due to Megatron's virus. Megatron's new body was built from schematics, but it's never explained where these schematics came from.

Transformers References
*This episode contains the first instance of a Diagnostic Drone speaking since the one from the first season was destroyed. It has the same voice as that one, but without the emotive qualities.
*Megatron's new body is based on Optimus Primal's third body from Beast Wars, the "Optimal Optimus" form, except with Megatron's Transmetal (or Transmetal 2) face underneath the helmet. This does mean that his face has the "claws" that those forms had, which you would think would be unacceptably beastial to Megatron. Obviously his anti-organic feelings don't count when he has a chance to be ironic.
*Megatron is back to saying "Yesss." Yay.
Trivia
This is the last episode to show Obsidan, Strika and most of the Vehicon drones apart from Diagnostic Drones.
Synopsis
The Maximals celebrate the defeat of Megatron inside the now-dormant Grand Mal. But while most of the group high-five each other, Nightscream mourns the loss of his pet, Savage/Noble. Silverbolt wonders if Megatron is truly defeated, but Primal assures his team that he knows Megatron is dead, thanks to their mutual connection to the Oracle. When Cheetor mentions there's still business to be taken care of, Botanica responds she feels there's another evil on Cybertron.

Cheetor and Nightscream are sent to find the Vehicon generals. Silverbolt and Blackarachnia are sent to assess the dormant Transformer bodies to start the process of getting the sparks Megatron kidnapped to function again. Rattrap and Botanica are assigned to attend the techno-organic orchard. Rattrap, of course, whines about this. Optimus stays in the Grand Mal.

At the shell yard, Blackarachnia tries to put the moves on Silverbolt, but without confirmation that Megatron is truly really dead, he's extremely hesitant to respond to her advances. At this, Blackarachnia finally loses patience, and begins berating Silverbolt for his obsessiveness. She's so focused on Silverbolt that only he notices the large, lumbering monster emerge behind her. The two Maximals run away (cowardly) from the giant, but when the monster hits Silverbolt with gunfire, Blackarachnia fights back with her electric sting. The monster knocks her over, but Silverbolt has had time to recover and attacks the monster with his throwing blades. Eventually, Blackarachnia has the idea to attack the monster using an explosive component from one of the nearby Transformer bodies. The behemoth steps out of the explosion, and the two Transformers watch a strange red spark emerge from the monster as it falls over in defeat. The red glow races away.

In the orchard, while Botanica works, Rattrap scavenges parts of a Motorcycle Drone to see if anything can be made into a useful tool. As he does this, he moans that he feels his talents are being wasted and he'll be stuck with embarrassing stories to tell his grandkids. Botanica argues that tending the garden is important. The debate between the two heats up, and in their rage, the two Maximals accidentally touch lips. The two quickly agree to completely disregard, forget, and ignore their contact and get to work. But suddenly, the deactivated Cycle Drone comes to life and begins to blast the orchard. Botanica, upset about the carnage, transforms and uses her bolts to bring heavy wreckage crashing down upon the possessed drone. The drone flails its body one last time before falling over, no longer inhabited by the glowing red spark.

Cheetor and Nightscream meet with Strika and Obsidian and invite the two generals to join the Maximals. As the two generals debate, Thrust stops by to make it clear that he has no interest in joining with the Maximals and that he believes that Megatron, "The Big M," will soon return. After Thrust leaves, the remaining four are attacked by a damaged but resilient Aero Drone. Nightscream sucks the energy from the drone, but the monster still tries to pull Cheetor over the edge of a nearby cliff. Cheetor is saved by Nightscream and the drone falls, but before it makes impact with the water below, the glowing red spark leaves the body.

The group returns to meet with the other Maximals (sans Botanica) inside the Grand Mal, and Optimus welcomes Strika and Obsidian to the team. The two new recruits leave to fortify the base—just in time for Rattrap to detect the haunting red spark heading right towards them all. Inside, the spark passes by the two generals and briefly encounters Cheetor and Blackarachnia. Next, the spark uses a Tank Drone body to attack Optimus and Botanica. While Rattrap tracks the movement of the Spark, he deduces a way to neutralize its rampage.

Rattrap uses a Spark Extractor on the Tank Drone to draw out the spark. Once the red spark is contained, he "re-polarizes" his captive, but the Spark Extractor flies alive, trying to break free of Rattrap's grip. After escaping the spark extractor, the spark flies into a Diagnostic Drone and, finally coherent, exclaims "I live!" But Rattrap has the next laugh: The spark, who is clearly Megatron, is now trapped inside of the diminutive body.

The Maximals meet Megatron, but he laughs at them. Even in his tiny form, he's able to reactivate the Grand Mal's internal defenses to evict the Maximals. As the Maximals struggle against the tentacles that have begun to bind them, Primal has an Oracle moment, but the Maximals are all captured anyway. Megatron starts to reformat Primal's spark, but Rattrap gets Botanica to destroy the control panel, freeing the team from Megatron's grip.

Obsidian arrives at the fight scene and is forced to choose: Be loyal to Primal's or Megatron's side. The two generals grab Megatron and fall out of sight. Out of immediate danger, Optimus explains that Nightscream didn't kill Megatron, but only turned Megatron into the monster that he was but no longer is.

Away from the battle, Strika, Obsidian and Megatron meet up with Thrust. No longer in control of the Sparks, Megatron declares, "The time for action is now."

Jetstorm came online alongside fellow generals Tankor and Thrust fairly early on in the Beast Machines conflict, when Megatron realized that controlling his vast armies of Vehicon drones directly was beyond even his mental capacities. In order to more efficiently control his forces, he created the Vehicon generals to serve as field commanders answering directly to him. In order to give these generals life, he used the sparks of two captured Maximals and one Predacon, hoping that Optimus Primal and his crew would be reluctant to fight their former comrades-in-arms. For Jetstorm, he used the spark of the Fuzor Silverbolt.

Jetstorm made his entrance alongside Thrust and Tankor, with Rattrap and Blackarachnia as his audience. When the spider lady noted that three mindless drones shouldn't be a problem, Jetstorm stunned the Maximals by replying that one, they weren't drones; two, the weren't mindless; and three, "Problem" was his middle name. Jetstorm teamed up with Thrust against Blackarachnia, strafing her from the air and obliging her with a ride through the skies after she webbed herself to him. When they initially lost the Maximals' signatures, Jetstorm was the first to detect them inside the spaceport terminal building, and the chase resumed, ending with a firefight between the generals and Optimus Primal and Cheetor that caused the destruction of the Autobot shuttle Omega-Delta. Fires of the Past

Berated by Megatron after his team's failures, Jetstorm protested that he'd almost captured the Maximals, only for the "lugnuts" to screw him up. Unsurprisingly, Megatron didn't buy it. After a couple of painful jolts and a promise of either reward or suffering, the three generals hit the road to find the Maximals. When Thrust stopped and began to brood, Jetstorm confronted him and demanded to know what the problem was, instigating a fight with the Cycle Commander. While they were dueling, the two picked up the Maximals' signatures and took off, only to find Tankor had beaten them to the prize. Teaming up with Thrust, Jetstorm attacked Tankor, landing a solid hit on him but ultimately getting himself knocked out when Tankor's counterattack blew up a fuel tank which walloped everyone but him. Later, Jetstorm angrily told Thrust he never wanted to see "that slagging turret-head" again—right before they were blasted back and then crushed by a falling Tankor. Mercenary Pursuits

Although Silverbolt's former lover, Blackarachnia, initially believed that Thrust possessed the spark of her beloved, she soon discovered the truth, that Thrust had Waspinator's spark and Silverbolt was in Jetstorm's body, and she went to great lengths to reawaken the Maximal spark Jetstorm held within him. And what did she get for her trouble? A samurai hawk with serious issues. After Optimus Primal and Megatron fell to their deaths into the organic core of Cybertron, which resulted in its reformatting into a technoorganic world and the restoration of its inhabitants, Silverbolt was his old passionate self, Blackarachnia was so happy and the two embraced, despite his corny line.

: Part of the first wave of Beast Machines Deluxes, Jetstorm transforms into a Cybertronic fighter jet. His jet-mode cockpit has a spring-loaded extension, giving him a bird-like head in this form that is articulated at the neck to "search" for targets. Both jet and robot modes feature spring-loaded "energy blast" missiles. He also has an alternate robot mode, which folds his legs into a "flight cone" and reveals jet thrusters.

:Note that, in the photo to the left, Jetstorm is slightly mis-transformed. In robot mode, the chest panels have holes in the back designed to pop over the yellow nubs on the collar plate, thus locking together the collar and the two halves of the torso. Further, in vehicle mode, his wings should be swept forward (like the Ultra-class toy below).

: This mold has been redecoed to make the Sonic Attack Jet, Robots in Disguise Storm Jet and Jhiaxus, and Universe Skywarp.

: Part of the first wave of Ultra-class Beast Machines toys, Jetstorm is also the first Ultra-class toy since the beginning of the "Beast Era" to feature electronics. He was also the largest Ultra-class toy yet. Like the Deluxe version, he transforms into a Cybertronic fighter jet, but in this incarnation the jet mode looks far more like the Mainframe CGI model, even if the robot mode bears only a slightly stronger resemblance. His jet mode cockpit/neck is geared up with the pop-up gun turret on his back so that both turn in the same direction when moved. This turret has a light-up feature plus two spring-loaded missiles. Like the small toy, he has both a "normal" bipedal robot mode and a "flight robot mode" with pop-out thruster engines.

: This mold was redecoed into the 2002 exclusive Cyclonus.
*Jetstorm (Happy Meal, 2000)

: The McDonald's Happy Meal toy's robot mode was very close to the CGI model -- from the waist up. Below the waist, the jet nose splits into two halves. Legs? Feet? Who knows? The toy's front torso is made of translucent plastic to simulate his slender TV show model, despite being quite fat. He also features a light piping gimmick which causes the spark crystal on his chest to light up when he's held up to the light. In jet mode his cockpit also has limited light piping.

*Jetstorm (Little Red Rooster Meal, 2000)

: The McDonald's Happy Meal Jetstorm was also released in Australia through the Red Rooster restaurant chain. Like the other three toys, it came in four colors: the original colors (with opaques replacing the transparents), red, green, and very light blue. It was retooled from the original version, losing the light piping. To make up for this it has (sloppily) painted on 'eyes' for its jet mode.

:Due to the lack of translucent plastic the toy's profile is different to the McDonalds version, looking somewhat fatter. This version of the toy isn't as well ballanced as the McDonalds version, either. They fall down a lot.

:A redeco of the U.S. market Ultra figure, released as part of the Toys R Us exclusive Beast Wars Returns line in Japan. It is one of the less drastic redecos of the line, and is fairly similar to the U.S. release, substituting most grey parts for a secondary shade of greyish blue, and replacing some of the yellow and all the gold highlights with both a silvery grey and more blue, most notably on his cheek plates. It gives the figure a darker, more sombre and overall blue appearance, in order to have greater show-accuracy.

* Jetstorm's pre-release name was Skybolt, but that was deemed too close to "Silverbolt", so the name was changed to further obscure the identity of Jetstorm's spark.
* Early concept artwork showed Jetstorm as being red instead of blue.
* Jetstorm was prone to making pop culture references, including "Gotta Catch 'em All!" (the slogan for the Pokémon franchise) and "swing batty-batty!" (a baseball pun intended to nark off Nightscream).
* In the show, Jetstorm has no feet and never walks. He only touches the ground when he is prone/disabled.

When the Decepticon Pretenders were liberated from their prisons by the evil alien Devil Z at some point in the 2010s, Diver was the first to discover their re-emergence when news of an attack by the villains upon a cruise liner off the coast of Canada reached him. Diver contacted his leader Metalhawk to inform him of the bad news, and when the Decepticons attacked a Japanese city soon thereafter, he quickly arrived to join the fight when Metalhawk summoned the other Pretenders to battle. Diver clashed with Gilmer, freeing Metalhawk to rescue his human friend Shūta from the clutches of a Tentakil, after which the villains fled. {{storylink|Rise Up!!
It was again thanks to Diver that the Autobots became aware of the Decepticons' next scheme, as he happened to be out on the ocean in the vicinity of the Karin Islands when the Seacons appeared in the area. Metalhawk, Phoenix and Shūta arrived to reinforce Diver, and with the help of the island's prince, Cab, they tracked the Decepticons to the nearby Isle of the Gods and thwarted their plan to convert humans into Destroids. Terror! The Decepticons' Manhunt This didn't stop the villains from trying again with passengers they captured from in-flight jumbo jets, but when one of their capture attempts went bad, causing the jet in question to crash in Corsica, Diver quickly reported this fact to Metalhawk. Together, Diver and Metalhawk posed as government agents to question the jet's passengers, including a young girl named Minerva, but during their investigation, the Decepticons unleashed their newest Destroids on Rome. The Autobots were able to stop the creatures with knock-out gas, but Diver and Lander were unable to capture the Decepticons themselves despite a chase through the tunnels beneath the city. {{storylink|Kidnapping!?
After Shūta, Cab and Minerva were transformed into Headmaster Junior warriors, Birth! Headmaster Jrs Diver invited them to California for what they believed would be a leisurely vacation, only to discover that he intended to train them in the use of their new powers. Diver was subsequently called away to investigate a sub-sea volcano, and during his absence, the Juniors had to put their training to the test in battle against the Decepticon Headmaster Juniors. {{storylink|Rage!!
Diver was grateful for a lull in Decepticon activity, as it allowed him to relax, but when the other Autobots came under attack from the Decepticons' new Godmaster warriors, Hydra and Buster, he and Phoenix quickly sped to the rescue, and the villains elected to withdraw. Super Warriors - The Godmaster Brothers It wasn't long before a rematch between the Autobots and the Godmasters ensued on Viscas Island, but Diver got his licks in, embedding his Sea Axe in Buster's arm and rattling the villain so badly that he and his brother had to retreat. A Fierce Battle!! The Autobots Are in Trouble

While awaiting the delivery of a sick dolphin from Baney Aquarium, Diver received a phone call from the trucker making the delivery to explain that his truck had broken down. After procuring a replacement truck cab from a garage, the trucker, Ginrai, completed the delivery, and while the dolphin was being unloaded, donned a pair of bracelets that he found in the cab's glove compartment. When Diver came over to thank Ginrai for his hard work, the Pretender was shocked to see the Autobot symbol glowing on the bracelets, and immediately demanded that Ginrai take him back to the garage. En route, the truck suddenly began to surge with strange energy and swerved out of Ginrai's control, barrelling over the edge of a cliff. Diver leapt clear in mid-air and transformed to robot mode, but before he could haul Ginrai from the wreckage, he was attacked by Hydra and Buster. At that point, within the cab, Ginrai's bracelets happened to touch, and in an explosion of light, the trucker was revealed to be the first Autobot Godmaster, with the truck as his Transtector. Shocked by what they had seen, Hydra and Buster fled, and Diver explained everything to the befuddled Ginrai. A Hero Is Chosen - His Name Is Ginrai Diver summoned Lander to the California so that he could educate Ginrai on the Decepticons, and although Ginrai was not willing to formally join the Autobots, he agreed to help them when he could "for the sake for the world." Unfortunately for Ginrai, the Decepticons began targeting truckers in an attempt to find him, causing the deaths of several of his friends. When the villains at last tracked Ginrai down, Diver had to remind Ginrai of the correct activation code so that he could transform and beat the Decepticons back. Ginrai: God On of Rage!!

When Ginrai discovered three more pairs of Master-Braces in his Transtector, Diver arranged for him to bring them to the Autobot base in Japan for study. A Strange Friendship: Cancer and Minerva While there, Ginrai discovered a trailer for his Transtector, and returned to America to show it to Diver and Lander. Ginrai proceeded to appear on TV in hopes of finding the Godmasters-to-be that the new Master-Braces will belong to, while Diver and Lander tried to take his outlandish approach in stride. Soon after his TV appearance, Ginrai was attacked by Hydra and Buster in an attempt to publicly disgrace him, but Diver and Lander came to his aid and took care of the Seacons the brothers had brought with them. In the wake of the battle, Diver commented that if Ginrai was already so self-conscious as to be concerned for his reputation, then he was already a good candidate for Autobot leader. Eliminate the Godmaster Ginrai

After the Decepticon kidnapped a group of children on an island off the coast of America, Diver elected to scout ahead as the other Autobots prepared to mount a rescue attempt. Unfortunately, Diver was spotted by Gilmer on his approach, and blindsided by Dauros as soon as he set foot on the island and reverted to human form. Harnessed with a device that prevented him from transforming to robot mode, Diver instead enlisted the aid of one of the captive kids, directing the boy to remove his watch and place it in the water nearby. The watch generated a powerful sonic signal that reached the dolphins at the Ocean Research Institute, and the other Autobots were able to follow the animals to the island, where they rescued Diver and the kids. Heroism!! The Birth of Super Ginrai

Diver's duties at the Institute kept him from participating in the search for the new Autobot Godmasters, An Enemy? The Third Godmaster, Ranger but in the midst of the quest, he did find the time to pay a visit to Japan, where the Headmaster Juniors welcomed him with another of Cab's great feasts. Unfortunately, the repast was interrupted by an attack on a nearby city Sixknight, but Ginrai soon subdued him. {{storylink|A Powerful Foe!!
Soon thereafter, Diver, Metalhawk and Lander met with their old ally, Grand Maximus, who arrived from space to inform them of the approach of the Decepticon, BlackZarak, towards Earth. Grand supplied them with the plans and materials necessary to construct a drone named "Godbomber", which would enable Ginrai to fly and fight in space and defeat BlackZarak before he reached the planet, and Diver and the Pretenders focused their efforts into the completion of this "Bomber Project". {{storylink|Life?
Diver stepped back from the front lines at this point, participating only occasionally in battles. He received an SOS from a cruise liner the Decepticons attacked and alerted the other Autobots to the situation Appearance!! The Final Godmaster and when BlackZarak returned and made it to Earth, Diver reported to Metalhawk on his progress across the globe. Diver, Phoenix and Metalhawk attempted to stop Overlord from meeting with BlackZarak above Tokyo, but were easily bested by the mighty Decepticon. BlackZarak - Destroyer from Space Diver later helped scan the planet for Decepticon activity Crisis! The Day of the Downfall of Humanity and alongside his fellow Pretenders, battled the Decepticon Pretenders in Latin America. God Ginrai - Save Cancer!?

Diver played no hand in the final battle between the Autobots and Decepticons in the Alps, during which Ginrai successfully destroyed BlackZarak and Devil Z, inadvertently bringing the Transformers' Transtectors to life. The now-living Transtectors departed Earth to rejoin their respective factions in space, but Diver and the other Pretenders elected to remain on Earth and continue their lives there. A Battle... and Then...

Later, Diver discovered the first Autobot Godmaster, Ginrai, in America, and arranged for him to travel to Japan to meet the other Autobots. Diver himself, along with Lander and Phoenix, did not make the trip, remaining at the Ocean Research Institute, where they received a communication from Metalhawk, who was worried because Ginrai seemed to be late. Diver told him not to worry, as Ginrai resembled a "hero," and when the Autobot Godmaster finally arrived, Metalhawk understood Diver's words—Ginrai was the spitting image of Optimus Prime! {{storylink|Enter on the Stage! Diver later joined with the other Autobots in racing to thwart a mysterious Decepticon scheme, only to be briefly bamboozled by holographic images of legendary Decepticons before Ginrai dealt with them. {{storylink|Burn, Super Soul! Diver and the Pretenders hurled themselves into the path of the villain's Jinchōkon-absorbing beam, saving Ginrai and the Decepticons from its effects, and remaining unharmed themselves, since, as true robots, they possessed no Jinchōkon of their own. Diver subsequently joined with all the other Autobots and Decepticons in combining their energies into the "Perfect Transform Attack", which destroyed Devil Z once and for all. With the alien's death, the humans were separated from their Transtectors, and the Transtectors themselves were brought to life as true super-robot lifeforms.
Harnessed with a device that prevented him from transforming to robot mode, Diver instead enlisted the aid of one of the captive kids, directing the boy to remove his watch and place it in the water nearby. Diver came to Earth along with his fellow Pretender Autobots thousands of years ago, during the Stone Age, when they crashed there while in pursuit of a group of Decepticons. While Diver and the Autobots used their Pretender powers to transform themselves into human forms, the Decepticons took the form of monsters, inspiring many Earthly legends as they battled through the ages. When the Decepticons were finally defeated and sealed away, Diver and the others elected to remain on Earth, guiding the evolution of human society and culture.

As an aquatic combat expert, Diver found himself particularly struck by the beauty of Earth's oceans, and dedicated himself to preserving them. Now in the present day, he has adopted the role of an oceanographer and marine biologist who runs the Ocean Research Institute of California. He is a true seaman—dedicated, able-bodied, jolly and a friend to all, be they human, Transformer, or a denizen of the ocean's depths, but also a great lover of relaxation, particularly sunbathing. Diver is virtually unbeatable in the sea, thanks to his mighty "Screw Anchor" attack, which allows him to manipulate water and fire it in high-power spiralling jets.

A Battle... and Then...
Diver made his first appearance when Shūta, Cab and Minerva became Headmaster Juniors, presenting their Transtectors to them alongside Lander and Phoenix. Headmaster Jrs Are Born

Enter on the Stage! The Name of the Savior Is Ginrai!

Diver later joined with the other Autobots in racing to thwart a mysterious Decepticon scheme, only to be briefly bamboozled by holographic images of legendary Decepticons before Ginrai dealt with them. Burn, Super Soul! The New Commander Super Ginrai! Diver and the other Pretenders dropped off the radar after this battle, appearing only briefly to monitor a two-pronged attack by the Decepticons against Earth. God Ginrai's Amazing Super-God Combination! Fortunately for all concerned, they returned to the front lines during Ginrai's final battle with the Decepticons, during which the Decepticon emperor, Devil Z, turned on his subordinates, and attempted to absorb their Jinchōkon in order to transform himself into the ultimate lifeform. While the new-born Transformers departed Earth to rejoin their respective factions in space, Diver elected to remain on Earth and continue his life there. The Birth of the Super Lifeforms

{{storylink|Heroism!!

Enter on the Stage! The Name of the Savior Is Ginrai!

Diver later joined with the other Autobots in racing to thwart a mysterious Decepticon scheme, only to be briefly bamboozled by holographic images of legendary Decepticons before Ginrai dealt with them. While the new-born Transformers departed Earth to rejoin their respective factions in space, Diver elected to remain on Earth and continue his life there. The Birth of the Super Lifeforms

Throughout the Transformers multiverse are many Transformers who consider themselves family and refer to each other as such. The most common case is when two Transformers regard each other as siblings. Transformers even occasionally express familial relationships with non-Transformers.

Given that Transformers are not organic life and likely do not reproduce sexually, the origin, distinction, and exact meaning of many of these terms is frequently unclear.

Possible explanations
The Dreamwave More Than Meets The Eye guide provides a partial possible answer. According to the guide, when a spark naturally splits as it's being introduced to a protoform, it creates two robots who are "brothers", such as Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. When such a spark division is artificially induced, the less balanced and self-reliant pair created are referred to as "clones". (This definition of "brother" may or may not apply to RID Prime and Magnus, whose brotherhood was said to result from the special circumstance of having been created simultaneously by Alpha Trion).

However, the "Beast Era" widened the issue of reproduction with Rattrap referring to his "great-aunt" Arcee and in general the practice of Maximals and Predacons referring to the Autobots and Decepticons as their respective "ancestors", as well as themselves as being their "descendants", implying a direct genetic (for want of a better term) lineage. Various sources of debatable canonicity suggest that Optimus Primal is specifically descended from Optimus Prime, usually through the phrase "his ancestor Optimus Prime." In the absence of sexual reproduction, the use and meaning of these genealogical references is difficult to explain. One possible explanation might be a situation such as when Airazor is brought to life. Her spark and protoform are heavily damaged, and Cheetor allows some of his parts to be used as replacements while Rhinox guides the procedure. The Spark To compare to humans, this is something like assisting with childbirth and donating blood or organs. It seems unlikely that this happened enough to cause two large societies to consider themselves "descendants" of two other, ancient large societies.

Other family designations exist as well. Wheelie has "parents" who were lost in his crash on Quintessa, according to some background material. The Mini-Con Twirl very specifically calls Falcia her "mother" (which Falcia hates) and seems to treat Redline like a father, since the two's spark frame energies went into constructing her physical form. Linkage Part 7 In the Armada cartoon, Side Swipe refers to Hot Shot as his brother after Hot Shot saves his life, suggesting at least an understanding of the concept; on the other hand, the Armada cartoon is originally Japanese, and in Japan, 'brother' and 'sister' can be used as terms of affection or respect to an unrelated person. The Unicron Trilogy universe has also used the term "cousin" for certain Transformers on occasion. The Victory manga from the Japanese Generation 1 era features Decepticon wives and children. Even the live-action movie features an Optimus and Megatron who are brothers, and it is mentioned in the related Nintendo DS game that Megatron "took the spark" of their father.

IDW has Ratchet mentioning that his "batch proto-initiator told me there'd be moments like this...", when he was wondering if he should take the humans and investigate the bunker in Nebraska. Infiltration issue 3
