Bradley "Rad" White is your typical kid who's the son of brilliant scientists. He likes to ride his bike, he likes to explore caves, he likes to grab excitedly at radioactive things—wait, what?

Basically, Rad has a natural, insatiable curiosity about all things. Unfortunately, this curiosity goes unchecked when he's hanging out with his best friend Carlos, so it takes the watchful eye of the intelligent-but-much-more-reserved Alexis to keep them both out of trouble. His parents hope that some day Rad can channel this curiosity more productively.

One day, Rad and Carlos went exploring into the caverns deep beneath the local observatory. Inside, they found the curious remains of a clearly artificial construction, seemingly far in advance of human technology. Against the advice of Carlos, Rad was drawn towards a glowing, green, pentagonal artifact half-buried in the rubble. When he touched it, the entire structure began to shake, suddenly springing to life as thousands of computers lit up the walls.

At home, Alexis felt the tremors and used her computer to pinpoint the epicenter of the apparent earthquake as the mountain caverns that Rad and Carlos were exploring. Similarly, the scientists and researchers at the observatory were baffled by the sudden movement of the Earth. As Rad and Carlos made their escape with the artifact, a bright light engulfed the chamber they were in, simultaneously shutting down all electronic equipment in Lincoln, as well as emitting three distinctly coloured distress signal beams into the sky.

One beam, green, reached an |ancient starship wreck on the dark side of the Moon, causing it to fire hundreds of smaller beams of green light at the Earth. The two remaining signal beams, coloured red and purple, continued deep into space until they reached a cold, distant, metal world.

Little did Rad know that he had unwittingly set in motion the next destructive phase in the great Transformers war, an endless battle of rage and hatred between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. Thanks a lot, kid. First Encounter
Ten years later, after Kicker Jones and Alexis were captured by Terrorcons, and taken to Scorponok, the Autobots mounted a rescue effort. Rad snatched Alexis from the jaws of danger as the Autobots and Terrorcons battled before using his hovercraft to blow up the energon collection rigs. What Lies Beneath, Part Three

Rad later whined a lot about Alexis being worldly and active as a peace activist. She tried to say a tender goodbye, but he brushed her off and upset her.
After accidentally dropping down a hole one day, Rad found the remains of a spaceship hidden underground. He brought Carlos with him to explore it, but ended up bumping into some machinery and reawakening the Mini-Con High Wire. After leaving the caves and meeting with Alexis, the kids tried to communicate with High Wire, only to come under attack from Megatron. They were saved by Optimus Prime, and High Wire grabbed Rad and his friends and took them to the other Mini-Cons. First Encounter! When he heard that the Mini-Cons weren't getting involved with the Autobot-Decepticon war again, Rad became angry—Optimus Prime was getting his aft handed to him by Megatron, and they were just going to abandon him? Rad decided to take matters into his own hands and confronted Megatron, offering to take him to the Mini-Con ship in exchange for sparing Optimus Prime. However, Megatron wasn't big on deals, and merely threatened to kill Rad if he didn't show him the ship right away. He ended up being saved by High Wire and the other Mini-Cons, who had changed their minds upon witnessing his feat of bravery. After Megatron had been chased off, Optimus Prime also complimented Rad on his courage, even if it hadn't been the smartest move. Panini Armada issue 2

Rad and his friends quickly befriended the Street Action Mini-Con Team and had a great time racing in the desert on them. Their fun and games ended when Optimus Prime ordered both humans and Mini-Cons to go get the locator log from the wrecked Mini-Con ship. When they found the log, they were attacked Demolishor, who incapacitated the Street Action Team. Quickly improvising a plan, Rad grabbed the locator log and hid it in an unstable part of the caves. When Demolishor followed, he accidentally caused it to explode, and was buried in the ensuing rockfall. Panini Armada issue 3 Some time later, Rad was learning chemistry at school when the troublesome twosome Billy and Fred messed up his experiment behind his back. Not only did this get him into trouble with the teacher, but he also noticed that High Wire was sneaking around on the school grounds. Rad decided to bolt, and found that Carlos and Alexis had had similar problems with their Mini-Con friends trying to adapt to life on Earth. He didn't really mind the Mini-Cons' little mistakes, and promised to guide them personally. Panini Armada issue 3

When the Autobots decided to send the Mini-Cons back to their home planet, Rad said he refused to let it "end like this", but didn't actually do anything about it. When Megatron arrived to put a stop to it, Rad tried to trick him that the Mini-Cons were already gone, so he might as well leave too. When Megatron made it clear he wouldn't leave Earth just because some five or six Mini-Cons went home, the plan was canceled and the Mini-Cons remained on Earth. Panini Armada issue 4 Some time later, Rad caught wind of Sparkplug's plan to save the Mini-Cons held in the Decepticon headquarters. He thought it was a stupid plan, and convinced the Autobots to send a shuttle to stop him. Panini Armada issue 4

During another race around the desert, Rad and his friends were interrupted by Starscream, who would very much like to capture the Street Action Team. High Wire threw Rad off of him and told him to get help. When Rad expressed doubt that the Street Action Team could stand up to Starscream, the three Mini-Cons proved him wrong by combining into Perceptor. In the aftermath of the battle, an impressed Rad was hi-fiving with High Wire when they were suddenly approached by a man named Amos Hume. Panini Armada issue 7 Amos explained that he had been given a message by a Mini-Con long ago, which Rad didn't find too hard to believe. After introducing Amos to the other Mini-Cons, the kids and Autobots used the message he had received to locate and rescue the Land Military Mini-Con Team. Panini Armada issue 7
Notes
* According to the now-defunct TV Tokyo Micron Legend website, Rad was 12 years old at the start of Armada. The page also stated that he enjoyed outdoor sports, and implied that Optimus Prime gave him Laserbeak as a personal possession.

* The Transformers Armada Official Guidebook backs up that Rad was 12 years old at the start of Armada, and that he enjoyed outdoor sports, specifically on his BMX bike.

* Rad's catchphrase "I'm here to tell you about the Transformers!" (sometimes varies as "I want to tell you about...) is from his introductory narration during the main titles sequence of the earlier episodes of Armada. Needless to say, this became rather repetitive after twenty or so episodes.

* Rad has the unfortunate penchant of saying '"Wicked Sweet!", usually when something impresses him greatly. It is quite possible that by 2010 this will be an acceptable form of slang. Alternately, perhaps Rad was from Boston originally. We have 5 month's left to see if this is right.
Jean's exposure to an Autobot upbringing has made him very intelligent for his age and species (that is, human). There, they met Deathsaurus and the "Decepticon Boy", Solon. Star Saber defeated the Decepticons with ease and sent them into retreat. As they fled, Jean vowed to help his father protect the Earth. Magnificent! Our Friend, Star Saber!

Later, Deathsaurus began a large forest fire and absorbed its energy to increase his own power. As Star Saber fought his nemesis, Jean was taken hostage by the mysterious Solon. With Jean in a deadly headlock, Solon presented his hostage to Deathsaurus. Fearing for Jean's safety, Deathsaurus slapped Solon, freeing Jean and knocking off Solon's helmet. Jean was shocked to see that Solon, by all appearances, was a human boy the same age as him. As Star Saber defeated Deathsaurus, the Decepticons retreated. Jean was still in shock over Solon's identity, leaving Star Saber to remark that it was as if Solon was Jean's darker half. Great Turn-Around! Star Saber

Enrolling in an Earth school, Jean made fast friends with the girl Illumina. His fun didn't last long, however, as his class soon received a new foreign exchange student: Solon! Confronting Solon after class, Jean's rival explained to him that he was a highly advanced cyborg and was enrolling in an Earth school so he could gather information on the "inferior humans" and determine their weaknesses. Jean wasn't about to take this lying down, but before they could rumble, Leozack began attacking the city.

Star Saber soon arrived and took the Decepticon out, then approached Jean and his friends. While Jean was happy to introduce Illumina to his dad, he made it a point to insist that Solon was not his friend. This hurt Solon's feelings, and the Decepticon boy vowed to be better than Jean at everything, including grades and sports. Leozack Rumbles Violently!

Out in some barren wasteland, Star Saber was making short work of the Breastforce. Following their defeat, Jean began to tease Solon. Their rough-housing was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Shūta Gō and Cab, who made it clear that they felt Star Saber was an inferior Supreme Commander to Ginrai, a statement which infuriated Jean. Suddenly, Kakuryū burst from the ground and attacked Star Saber. He didn't fare well, almost immediately being thrown over a cliff. As Saber loomed menacingly over the Decepticon, Jean begged him not to destroy him. Star Saber instead helped Kakuryū up and sent him on his way. Though Solon still wasn't impressed with Star Saber, Shūta Gō and Cab were won over. Warrior of Love, Star Saber!

Jean and his two new buddies soon built a treehouse and formed the "Autobot Boy Team", though their meaningful dialogues typically extended no further than what toy was cooler. Their first meeting was a short one, as Jean was kidnapped by Yokuryū and whisked away to the Thunder Arrow. Jean's captor, Deathsaurus, revealed that he had a soft spot for little kids and offered him a place on the "Decepticon Boy Team" he was forming. Solon encouraged Jean to join, informing him that he could become a cyborg just like him. Deathsaurus sweetened the deal by offering Jean lots of gifts (such as toys, fruit and a Famicom) as well as wads of cash.

Star Saber soon arrived to rescue his son, though Jean was still thinking over the offer. Jean decided that, although Star Saber was really stingy with his allowance, the Autobot was still family, and Jean chose to leave with him. Star Saber proceeded to trounce Deathsaurus and return to Earth, with Jean telling Solon he'd see him at school the next day. Deathsaurus quickly abandoned all further plans for a Decepticon Boy Team. Watch Out, Jean! Hurry, Star Saber!

The Autobot Boy Team soon changed their name to the Victories and donned sets of silly armor, Jean's being modeled after Star Saber. Jean and Star Saber left to chase Liokaiser across the galaxy, eventually losing his trail on Energy Planet X. Frustrated, the two began to bicker like brats, exchanging childish insults. As Star Saber began to wonder if he was treating Jean too much like a soldier and not enough like a son, Liokaiser pounced. About to deliver the deathblow, the Decepticon was momentarily halted as the individual Breastforce members began to argue over who would get to kill the Autobot. Star Saber and Jean took this opportunity to break free and defeat the Decepticon. With their enemy in retreat, Jean and Star Saber vowed that, even if they fought, they'd never let their disagreements get in the way of their duty. The Star of Friendship, Jean and Star Saber!

Not long after, Star Saber fell to a united attack from Deathsaurus, Liokaiser and Dinoking. With his father about to be killed, all hope seemed lost. Suddenly, a hot blonde chick arrived with a new Autobot named Victory Leo. Victory Leo combined with Star Saber to form Victory Saber, who quickly defeated the Decepticons. As Jean began to swoon at the sight of the bodacious blonde, she quickly introduced herself as Patty Minakaze...his sister. Patty explained that after their parents were killed, she'd left to live with Victory Leo on Planet V. The gurunium alloy their father discovered was used to built Victory Leo's body, making the Victory Combination possible. The Strongest Partners, the Combination of Victory!

Jean began to regret having a sibling, as Patty usurped leadership of the Victories from him and began (sweetly) working her teammates to the bone mopping floors. Jean's janitorial duties were soon interrupted by a crisis on planet Guard, so he, Patty, Victory Leo and Star Saber left to investigate. There they were met by Deathsaurus and King Solon, Solon's new giant mech unit. The two Decepticons merged into King Zaras and attacked Victory Saber. The pair were evenly matched until Solon was distracted by Patty saying the word "mother", and that momentary pause gave Victory Saber the chance he needed to destroy the King Solon mech. As Solon's flaming body hurtled to the ground, Jean and Patty offered to help him and even let him join the Victories. Solon refused and fled, though he felt Patty reminded him of his deceased mother. Mighty! Victory Saber

During another battle, Victory Saber and the Brainmasters proved unable to defeat Deathsaurus and Liokaiser. Jean began to lose hope until Solon arrived, having at last switched sides at the urging of Blacker. With Solon's help, the Victories performed the "Five Stars of Victory" attack, sending the Decepticons retreating to their Space Stronghold. Jean asked Solon if he'd officially join the Victories, but Solon said only under one condition: if Patty would be his big sister, too. While Patty found this flattering, Jean found it infuriating. Shine! The Five Stars of Victory

With the final confrontation at hand, Jean and the Victories, aboard Galaxy Shuttle, invaded the Space Stronghold. Their part in the battle was a short one, however, as Leozack quickly immobilized them with an exploding trap. Eventually, Victory Saber won the day and Deathsaurus conceded defeat. Deathsaurus then revealed that the Decepticons had been fighting for their families aboard the Stronghold all along—a noble act. Patty invited the Decepticon families to live in harmony with the Autobots on Planet V. With the battle over, Jean and his ex-rival Solon encouraged their fathers to set aside their differences and shake hands. *The proper Romanization of Jean's name is not clear. The standard (and long-used by the fandom) transliteration of his name is "Jan", but the character being half-French lends credence to the "Jean" Romanization, it being a French male name.

The pair of Transformers did so, and good times were had by all. Heroic! The Victory War

Notes
*The proper Romanization of Jean's name is not clear. The standard (and long-used by the fandom) transliteration of his name is "Jan", but the character being half-French lends credence to the "Jean" Romanization, it being a French male name.
The Breastforce (tee hee!) are Deathsaurus's elite troopers, comprising some of the most vile Decepticons imaginable, from murderous back-stabbers to incarcerated convicts. Deathsaurus himself is also a member of the sub-group, but the name is most often used to refer to the elite six-robot team that serves under him. The group derives their... unusual name from the Breast Animals they are partnered with, which transform from their title (snicker) breastplate armor into an autonomous robotic animal or hand-held blaster. Don't let the name fool you, the Breastforce are nothing to laugh at.

(giggle)

The core six members of the Breastforce are:

*Leozack, Deathsaurus' second-in-command and Grumman F-14D "Tomcat" fighter jet, partnered with Lionbreast.
*Drillhorn, the tunnelling machine, partnered with Rhinobreast.
*Hellbat, the Dassault Rafale fighter jet, partnered with Kōmoribreast.
*Jarugar, the Baja buggy, partnered with Jaguarbreast.
*Killbison, the Gepard anti-aircraft tank, partnered with Bisonbreast.

Others members include:

*Deathsaurus, Decepticon Emperor of Destruction and dragon/bird-monster, partnered with Tigerbreast and Eaglebreast
*Deathcobra, the Mi-24 Hind assault helicopter, partnered with an unnamed Breast Animal.

Leozack, Drillhorn, Gaihawk, Hellbat, Jarugar and Killbison can combine to form the super-warrior Liokaiser. Deathcobra was also capable of combining with the team, but died before he got the chance.
Leozack was the first of the Breastforce to join Deathsaurus for his campaign against Earth, {{storylink|Sneak Attack! During the latter mission, the team's Breast Animals came to the fore, as they were unleashed upon the Autobots in the cramped quarters of the underground tunnels. Big City - Underground Terror

Leozack later summoned the fifth Breastforcer, Hellbat, to Earth, but upon witnessing his leader getting dressed down by Deathsaurus, Hellbat decided he himself would make a better leader for the Breastforce. The New Warrior - Hellbat Ever the schemer, Hellbat's honeyed words roped the rest of the Breastforce into several plots, like the theft of energy from a shuttle port Attack the Shuttle Base!! or the ransom of Marine City. Tanker Hijack Operation Since the silver-tongued sneak was usually able to pass the blame for any failures on to Leozack, none of the other Breastforce members really trusted Hellbat, and Leozack began making plans to get rid of him. Rescuing their sixth teammate, Gaihawk, from the Satellite Penitentiary on planet Micro, Rescue! Gaihawk Leozack summoned his old friend Deathcobra so that he could boot Hellbat out and the remaining six could combine into the giant robot, Liokaiser. Attempting to secure his position on the team, Hellbat petitioned Deathcobra to leave, but when a fight broke out between the two, Hellbat accidentally killed Deathcobra and blamed the murder on the Autobot Micromaster Holi. Seeking revenge, the Breastforce merged into Liokaiser and defeated Star Saber in their first battle. Unite! Liokaiser
When the Breastforce arrived to join Deathsaurus in stealing energy from Earth, Leozack made his first strike alone, but botched it by forgetting to take his Breast Animal with him. Leozack Rumbles Violently! The rest of the team later battled Star Saber in their individual forms Warrior of Love, Star Saber! and still later combined with Leozack into Liokaiser to engage the Autobot leader on Energy Planet X.
Subsequent fights did not go well for Liokaiser; first, he was thrashed by Star Saber when the Autobot leader combined with Victory Leo to become Victory Saber, The Strongest Partners, the Combination of Victory! and was then flattened by the united Autobots' "Five Stars of Victory" attack. Shine! The Five Stars of Victory Following this defeat, the Decepticons retreated into space and began attacking Earth using Deathsaurus's "Space Stronghold". Naturally, the Autobots pursued, and when Deathsaurus engaged Star Saber in a space battle, Leozack saw an opportunity to remove all his enemies at once. Even as his shocked teammates looked on, Leozack turned the fortress's main cannon on Deathsaurus! Deathsaurus survived the blast and fired upon the fortress with his own weapons, after which Star Saber came smashing through the fortress's control room window and slashed Leozack with his sword. Even as he collapsed in front of the Autobots, Leozack begged them not to destroy the fortress, and the true nature of the massive craft was revealed to the Autobots: It contained the Decepticons' families, whom they had been fighting to protect all along. {{storylink|Heroic! ==Synopsis==
The Decepticon Headmasters engage in a stealth mission, sneaking into the Autobots' northern outpost on Earth in their small robot forms and successfully eliminating all the personnel without alerting the Autobots' main force. Weirdwolf reports their successful acquisition of the base to Scorponok.

Meanwhile, Battleship Maximus has returned to Athenia, where they are still concerned over Galvatron's ultimate plan for the energy the Decepticons have gathered from all the planets they attacked, and Highbrow continues his codebreaking to try and discover Scorponok's hidden weakness. At the same time, on Chaar, Galvatron announces the plan in question - as Scorponok has already deduced, he plans to "incorporate the Earth into his system." With the specifics of this goal left unsaid, Sixshot privately cautions Galvatron to beware of Scorponok and his own ambitions. Galvatron is well aware of Scorponok's own desire for power, and Sixshot offers to limit any further impediment to Galvatron's goals by personally leading a massive attack on Earth's Autobot forces, in order to wipe them out.

Elsewhere, Scorponok contacts Weirdwolf on Earth, and announces that it is time that he and his Headmasters begin to work towards their own goals, surreptitiously working to steal energy from Autobot installations and forcing Galvatron into fighting the Autobots himself, all so that Scorponok may take leadership of the Decepticons once again.

Sixshot mobilises Trypticon, the Combaticons, the Terrorcons and the Horrorcons and initiates an all-out attack against the Autobots' energy facility in Miami (pausing for a comedic scuffle between the confused Doublecross and the Horrorcons, who each take on one of his heads). Word soon reaches Ultra Magnus at Autobot City, who, unwilling to burden Fortress with any further problems, dispatches the Trainbots and Technobots to deal with the threat.

Back on Athenia, Daniel and Wheelie are helping Highbrow in his codebreaking, but have thus far met with failure - the two youths are particularly dismayed when Highbrow has them start the whole process over again from the top. Fortress charges Punch with informing him of Galvatron's movements, and confers with the other Autobots on the situation - even the hot-headed, over-eager Hardhead admits that he has bad feelings about the current situation, stunning everyone into horrified silence.

On Earth, the battle goes badly for the Autobots. On the outskirts of Autobot City, Ultra Magnus is confronted by Sixshot himself, who attacks the City Commander with his multiplication powers and multiple transformations. Metroplex attempts to intervene, but Trypticon intercepts him, at which point the Trainbots arrive, and convince Magnus that Fortress must be alerted. The news is quickly sent to Athenia, and Fortress and the Headmasters head for Earth aboard Battleship Maximus. Soundblaster in turn relays this to Galvatron; the Decepticon leader is not too eager at the suggestion that Scorponok be sent to stop the Autobots, but Soundblaster convinces him to make the request, and Scorponok complies.

Meanwhile, Ultra Magnus is in trouble - Sixshot has multiplied himself into six forms, each one adopting one of his alternate modes, to strike Magnus in painful succession. As the Horrorcons hold off Raiden, Sixshot makes his final deadly move, revealing his secret, seventh mode, combining all the strengths of his six modes in one - the Wingwolf! Simultaneously, Battleship Maximus and Scorponok arrive on Earth, but Galvatron's fears are realized, as Scorponok completely ignores the battle and telepathically contacts the Decepticon Headmasters to check up on their progress, while the Autobots arrive just as Magnus is caught in a hail of laser fire from Sixshot. When the fallen City Commander does not rise, the enraged Headmasters enter Head Formation and knock the ninja out of the sky. Fortress cradles Ultra Magnus's broken body, as, with his last words, Magnus wishes for the Autobots to defend the Earth, and dies. Swept up in righteous fury, the Headmasters pummel Sixshot, forcing the villain to retreat.

Ultra Magnus's body is loaded into a funeral bier, and Metroplex requests that, rather than be fired into space, Ultra Magnus's body be buried somewhere on the Earth that he loved so much. With the bier board Battleship Maximus, a burial spot is selected - a small cave on the coastline - and Magnus is submerged beneath the waves as the sun begins to set.
Notes
Animation or technical errors
*As Galvatron and Soundblaster ask Scorponok to go to Earth, Scorponok's "antlers" are grey instead of orange.
*When Ultra Magnus looks at the departing Trainbots and Technobots, his eyes are red.

Continuity errors
*When he dies, Ultra Magnus does not turn grey. This stands out particularly, since The Headmasters was so attentive to this point in early episodes of the series when Blaster, Soundwave and Optimus Prime all bought the farm. But hey, maybe his inner robot did...

Transformers references
*Galvatron's unknown master plan was first hinted at in "Fight to the Death on Susei!!" Precisely what "incorporating the Earth into his system" involves is not covered in this episode, but will be revealed in the next installment—but don't get'cher hopes up for anything sensible.
*The existence of Scorponok's mysterious weak spot was revealed in "Find MegaZarak's Weak Spot!!".
*The Headmasters' telepathic powers were introduced fully back in "Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 2".
*The "Head Formation", introduced properly in "Find MegaZarak's Weak Spot!!", takes another new twist in this episode. This time, the Headmasters do not disconnect from their Transtectors before entering the formation, and once they are powered up, they do not release their grip on each other, spinning their energy-charged bodies in a destructive circle. This is probably the most important evolution of the Headmasters' powering-up abilities, as it is this specific version of the formation that will prove key in the final episode of the series.
*Sixshot's "Wingwolf" mode previously appeared in Issue 4 of the Headmasters manga.

Miscellaneous trivia
*This episode marked the return of The Headmasters to Japanese television screens after a four-week break.
*This is the first The Headmasters episode to feature an insert song. The song in question is "Tate! Ikari no Headmasters", which plays as Ultra Magnus and Sixshot's battle begins. The RTM 1 dub removes it.
*Sixshot's Wingwolf mode was created for the animated series, hence it is not mentioned in his toy's instructions, but you can still transform the toy into this form, because it was created simply by fiddling with the figure to see what sort of other forms one could create out of it. This was not the only time that the Japanese Transformers series put this trick to use, as seen with Overlord's "space jet" mode and BlackZarak's hydra mode.

Trivia
*This last episode to show Ultra Magnus.
*The title really give's away the plot of the episoe
Synopsis

Hailing from somewhere beyond the Milky Way galaxy, Black Shadow is a vile gangster whose skills in robbery, extortion and murder are available to anyone who can meet his price. He is loyal only to the highest bidder; even the Decepticons are loath to work with him that often, as they can never be sure he won't betray them in mid-job if he gets a better offer. In jet mode, he can devastate buildings around him with powerful sonic shockwaves by breaking the sound barrier while flying at low altitudes, a technique he calls his "Sonic Boomer Attack".

His partner in crime is Blue Bacchus, a gunman with a similar personality and moral fiber who looks up to him. The pair's partnership has made them infamous throughout space, and there is a massive bounty on their heads, but Black Shadow would actually kill Blue Bacchus without remorse if the situation demanded it.
Black Shadow and his partner, Blue Bacchus, were hired by Hellbat of the Breastforce to help him loot Planet Micro of all its energon. While the Crossformers caused massive panic and destruction, Hellbat got a clear run at the energy reserves. The incredible size and power of the Crossformers, especially on a world full of Micromasters, made their mission relatively easy, until Governor Riker called in Star Saber to help. When the Autobot commander arrived to stop the villains during their attack on the plasma energy plant that provided Micro with a third of all its energy, Black Shadow informed Hellbat that he would need to triple their pay for them to risk their hides in battle with the legendary Star Saber. Hellbat grudgingly agreed, but before the two Crossformers could attack Star Saber, they themselves were attacked by Saber's ally, their former partner in crime, Greatshot, who had reformed and joined the Autobots. At first, the pair seemed to have the six-changer on the ropes, until he used his "Disappearing Dust" technique to get the drop on them and destroy their guns. The pair proved to be no match for Greatshot with their bladed weapons, and he destroyed their outer shells, forcing them to retreat in their small vehicle modes, vowing revenge. Hellbat joined them in retreat, without any energy to show for his trouble, but the Crossformers insisted that he would still be paying them. Planet Micro - The Mysterious Warrior
When Gutcruncher started stirring up the Offworlder population for a revolt against the TransTechs, Black Shadow was hired to eliminate the rabble-rouser. At Gutcruncher's rally, Black Shadow assassinated the mech with a photon charge through the central cortex, killing him instantly. Also, thanks to his stealth field and deliberate positioning, he was able to frame two newly arrived Autobots named Jackpot and Hubcap for the murder.

Black Shadow monitored the patsies to make sure they didn't implicate him somehow, and he was overjoyed when they "showed" their guilt by escaping from the police. Taking advantage of the situation, Black Shadow planned to execute the duo to cover his tracks and collect on the bounty Gutcruncher's pals had taken out on the "assassins". He gloated openly about his schemes to the two Autobots, until they split up and scampered, hoping he couldn't follow them both. Well, he could—Black Shadow split from his Crossformer shell and took off after both Autobots. However, Hubcap ultimately outsmarted the Decepticon. The little Autobot used his speakers to draw as much attention as possible to their chase. Then, when Gutcruncher's flunky Dirge and a pack of Malignus Revolutionaries responded, Hubcap played back a recording of Black Shadow's gloating admission of the crime for all to hear. One more fancy bit of wordplay tricked the Crossformer into admitting his photon charges killed Gutcruncher, and the verdict was in. The Malignus Revolutionary Army and their Gigantion buddy Menasor ended Black Shadow's existence very quickly. At the same time, a mysterious capsule of Scraplet digestive acid went off in Black Shadow's shell, saving Jackpot's life and preventing any information from being recovered from the shell's CPU. Black Shadow's own head (and therefore his datatrax) also went missing in the melee after his death...almost as if someone were covering their tracks... Gone Too Far
Blue Bacchus yearns to be as good as the other Crossformer, and follows him everywhere, hoping that he can learn from him and become just like him. Their partnership has made them infamous throughout space, and there is a massive bounty on their heads.
Blue Bacchus and Black Shadow were hired by Hellbat of the Breastforce to help him loot Planet Micro of all its energon. While the Crossformers caused massive panic and destruction, Hellbat got a clear run at the energy reserves. The incredible size and power of the Crossformers, especially on a world full of Micromasters, made their mission relatively easy, until Governor Riker called in Star Saber to help. When the Autobot commander arrived to stop the villains during their an attack on the plasma energy plant that provided Micro with a third of all its energy, Blue Bacchus spoke for the pair when he refused to take on Star Saber for the price they were currently being paid. After Hellbat grudgingly agreed to triple their fee, the two Crossformers were about to engage Star Saber when they themselves were attacked by Saber's ally, their former partner in crime, Greatshot, who had reformed and joined the Autobots. Blue Bacchus did not start the fight out well, as he transformed into helicopter mode only to be knocked from the air and pinned by Greatshot in his rhino mode. Black Shadow freed him from Greatshot's grip and the pair seemed to turn the fight around, until the six-changer used his "Disappearing Dust" technique to get the drop on them and destroy their guns.
