At age twelve, [[Ron Witwicky|Sam's father]] presented him with the heirlooms of his ancestor [[Archibald Witwicky]]. At first, thinking they would be priceless artifacts or treasure, Sam was not impressed with what he described as "junk" and made googly eyes with the arctic explorer's glasses. {{storylink|Movie Prequel issue 3|Prime Directive (IDW) issue 3}}
When Sam was presented with Archibald Witwicky's personal effects, at first he was excited at the prospect of becoming rich, but was less than impressed with the "junk" in the box, as well as his flippant remarks about Archibald's eventual fate. [[Image:Movie Sam classreport papers.jpg|250px|thumb|Is this a genealogy report or an auction?]]

After getting an undeserved A- for his genealogy report, Sam and his father went to buy a car. Though they passed a [[Jazz (G1)|Porsche]] car lot, Ron was actually playing a cruel joke on his son (real smart, considering that he'll eventually get [[wikipedia:Power_of_attorney|power of attorney]] someday). Going to [[Bobby Bolivia]]'s car lot, they went shopping for a used car. Sam spotted a Camaro that he liked, but Ron, ever the cheap man, refused to go over four thousand dollars. However, when all the windows in the car lot suddenly exploded, Bolivia agreed to four thousand.

[[Image:Movie Sam Bumble Lake.jpg|left|200px|thumb|That Charles Atlas course really works!]]

Taking his buddy Miles to the lake, they encountered Mikaela and her boyfriend [[Trent DeMarco|Trent]]. Trent pretty much told them to get lost, but Mikaela then dumped Trent. Realizing he had his one shot, Sam abandoned Miles and offered to give Mikaela a ride home. When his car had some engine trouble, Mikaela looked under the hood and was quite impressed with the layout of the Camaro's engine, though Sam was more impressed with the layout of Mikaela. After <strike>riding her home</strike> giving her a ride home, Mikaela asked Sam if he thought she was shallow. Sam awkwardly replied that he thought there was "more than meets the eye...with you". After berating himself for his lame pickup line, Mikaela waved goodbye from her porch, and Sam felt that he made progress, and said he loved his car.

[[Image:Movie2007 Bumblebee firstsighting.jpg|250px|thumb|Nope, nothing out of the ordinary here, no sirree.]]

Later that night, his car suddenly left. Believing it was being stolen, Sam followed it to an abandoned junkyard. To his shock and horror, the car was [[Transformer|alive]]. Sam left his last words to his parents and [[Mojo]], where he acknowledged that he owned ''Busty Beauties'' that were given to him by [[Uncle Charles]], then investigated. Some police came and arrested him, and an overzealous cop, believing him to be a junkie, ripped him a new one. Returning home, [[Unicron|Satan's]] Camaro arrived, and Sam fled ignominiously on his [[Judy Witwicky|mother's]] pink bike. He hit the cement hard in front of Mikaela, and soon found a police car. He demanded the officer's help... at which point said police car turned into [[Barricade (Movie)|an even scarier car]]. After throwing Sam onto a nearby car, the cop car demanded the location of Sam's eBay items, but Sam fled and ran into Mikaela. The Camaro arrived and took them to a power plant, where the two cars fought it out, while Sam was chased by [[Frenzy (Movie)|a spastic abomination]] who pantsed him. Mikaela was able to cut it's head off, which Sam punted.

[[Image:BarricadeVsSam.jpg|left|250px|thumb|"Are you user name ladiesman217?!"<br/> "NO!"<br/> "Oh.
Sam and Mikaela approached the Camaro, who could only speak through his radio, and offered a ride. Mikaela was hesitant, but Sam convinced her to get in. While driving, Sam had shotgun, but Mikaela refused to sit in the driver's seat. Sam suggested that she sit in his lap. Safety first, right? She agreed, then admitted to Sam that it was a smooth move on his part. As Mikaela asked why if the robot was so advanced, then why did he turn into a piece of crap Camaro? Insulted, the car forced them out. As Sam lamented how four thousand dollars had driven off, the car returned as a 2009 Camaro. Taking the teens to an observatory, they watched as four metoers entered Earth's atmosphere, during which Mikaela instinctively reached out for Sam's hand. They were then escorted to an abandoned alley, where they met the biggest surprises of them all. Four other cars [[Transformation|transformed]] into robots. The lead robot, after inquiring about Sam's identity, introduced himself as [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]], [[Prime (rank)|leader]] of the [[Autobot|Autobots]], autonomous robotic lifeforms from a planet known as [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. Prime introduced [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]], his first lieutenant, [[Ironhide (Movie)|Ironhide]], his weapons expert, [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]], their medical officer (who claimed that Sam's pheromone level indicated that he wanted to mate with Mikaela, embarrassing both teens), and identified the Camaro as Bumblebee, Sam's appointed guardian. Optimus explained their mission to locate the [[All Spark]], the betrayal of [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]] and the [[Decepticon|Decepticons]], and how Archibald Witwicky's [[glasses]] played a vital role in finding the All Spark.

[[Image:Movie Sam Mikaela meettheAutobots.jpg|thumb|250px|Oh great, now you get mugged by giant alien robots.]]

Going to his house, Sam frantically searched for the glasses, but the Autobots were somewhat impatient and totally wrecked his dad's backyard. After finding the glasses, government agents arrived. Their leader, [[Seymour Simmons|Agent Simmons]], took Sam and Mikaela into custody, separating Sam from his parents. Simmons went bad cop on Sam, threatening him with life imprisonment and revealing Mikaela's criminal record. Just as Simmons demanded answers about aliens, Prime intercepted the convoy, and the Autobots totally outclassed the agents. Sam demanded to know what [[Sector Seven]] was, but a backup team arrived. Prime took Sam and Mikaela to hide under a bridge, but they nearly fell to their deaths. Bumblebee saved them, but was captured, and Sam and Mikaela recaptured.

[[Image:Movie Sam Bumblebee capture.jpg|left|200px|thumb|If you thought this part of the hazing was bad, wait&#39;ll you see what they do with the scraplets.]]

Taken to [[Hoover Dam]], Simmons tried the awkward role of good cop, but Sam was uninterested in talking. [[Tom Banachek]] tried to bribe him, and Sam demanded the freeing of Bumblebee, his parents, and the expunging of Mikaela's criminal record. Taking them into the Dam, Sector Seven showed them [[Megatron (Movie)|N.B.E.-1]], who Sam recognized as Megatron. He explained Megatron's goals, and the purpose of the All Spark. However, the spastic abomination that pantsed him sent a message to the Decepticons, who attacked. Sam implored Sector Seven to release Bumblebee, saying he could help, which [[William Lennox|Captain Lennox]] assisted by putting a gun to Simmon's chest. Bumblebee converted the All Spark to a smaller form, and the soldiers escorted the two teens and Bumblebee to [[Mission City]], soon augmented by the Autobots.

[[Image:Movie Megatron Samonroof.jpg|250px|thumb|Why Mr. Witwicky, why, WHY do you persist!?]]

Upon reaching Mission City, an F-22 Raptor was spotted, which Ironhide recognized as [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]]. Starscream attacked, damaging Bumblebee's legs, and [[Brawl (Movie)|a tank]] attacked the soldiers. As the Autobots and the soldiers went to deal with the tank, Mikaela arrived to with a tow truck to remove Bumblebee from the battle. Megatron soon arrived and killed Jazz, and Lennox ordered Sam to take the All Spark to a building to be escorted out of the city. Despite his refusal to leave, Bumblebee handed the Cube to Sam, urging him to go. Sam was pursued by Megatron, Starscream, and [[Blackout (Movie)|a helicopter]], with Ratchet and Ironhide providing protection, but they were injured by Starscream, and Sam was forced to leave without them. During his flight, Sam dropped the All Spark, causing [[Steering wheel robot|some]] [[Dispensor|nearby]] [[Xbox 360 robot|machines]] to come to life. Reaching the building, Sam ignited a flare, but his ride was destroyed by Starscream.

[[Image:Movie Sam defeats Megatron.jpg|250px|thumb|left|Now, light our darkest hour...]]

Cornered on the roof, Megatron demanded the All Spark, in exchange for living to be [[Ravage (G1)|his]] [[Laserbeak (G1)|pet]], but Sam refused. Megatron used his flail to knock Sam off the roof, but Sam was saved by Optimus Prime. Telling Sam to hold onto the cube, Prime tried to scale down the building, but Megatron knocked them all off. Prime managed to shield Sam from any serious injury, however. Prime expressed admiration for Sam's efforts, and told him that if he couldn't defeat Megatron, Sam was to merge the Cube with his [[spark]], destroying both Prime and the All Spark. However, Megatron was too powerful for Optimus to defeat alone, and Prime told Sam to push the cube into the Autobot's chest. Instead, Sam merged the All Spark with Megatron, killing him. Optimus extended his thanks, telling him he owed Sam a debt of gratitude. Bumblebee, who could now speak, requested permission to stay with Sam, to which Sam eagerly agreed. Sam and Mikaela entered into a relationship, and made out on Bumblebee's hood while Ironhide and Ratchet observed.
Shortly after the battle of Mission City, Sam and Mikaela were watching Ratchet reattach Bumblebee's legs when [[Dispensor|the transformed Mountain Dew machine]] suddenly attacked Sam. Fortunately, Ratchet crushed the creature before it could cause further havoc. Examining the liquid from its remains, Ratchet warned his human friends about the dangers in weight gain and tooth decay that the substance could cause to them. The Decepticons were looking for "it", and both Lennox and Optimus Prime feared they could be after Sam again. Though Lennox refused Prime's suggestion of placing Sam in protective custody at their base on [[Diego Garcia]], believing it was too much for the boy to handle, they agreed that somebody needed to keep an eye on the Sam, and so Bumblebee once again assumed the role of his protector. {{storylink|Alliance issue 4}}
About two years later, Sam has graduated from high school and is preparing to go to college. He still finds it difficult to say "I love you" to Mikaela. Fortunately, events conspire to resolve this problem. Sam finds a shard of the AllSpark left inside his clothing from the battle in Mission City which (a) brings numerous kitchen devices to life and (b) imprints a large collection of ancient Cybertronian knowledge onto his brain. After [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] has destroyed the kitchen robots (and parts of the Witwickys' house with them), Sam hands the All Spark shard to [[Mikaela Banes|Mikaela]]. He then tells Bumblebee to stay behind, since he isn't allowed to have a car at college.

Arriving at college, Sam meets his roommate, [[Leo Spitz]], who operates a [[The Real Effing Deal|conspiracy website]] and is convinced that alien robots are hiding on Earth. At a frat party, Sam also meets his fellow student [[Alice]], who attempts to seduce Sam. When Bumblebee shows up, she takes a ride with Sam, but Bumblebee does everything he can to convince her to leave. Bumblebee then takes Sam to Optimus Prime, who is convinced—for some reason—that Sam is in danger.

Shortly thereafter, Sam begins to see [[Cyberglyphics|strange symbols]]. He also develops a nasty eye tic and decides to assert that Einstein was wrong, along with calling for better recognition of the full seventeen dimensions that exist. After recovering from this outburst, Sam believes it may have something to do with him touching the All Spark shard, and he contacts his girlfriend to warn her not to touch the shard. Mikaela promptly boards a plane to see Sam, but when he arrives, she finds him in what appears to be an intimate moment with Alice. Fortunately for Sam's relationship, it turns out that Alice is a Decepticon as well. Mikaela, Sam and Leo, who has stumbled across her robotic self by coincidence, try to escape, but are captured by the Decepticons. After Sam's failure at relating to a seventy-foot-tall robot, Megatron orders a small, glasses-wearing robot called "The Doctor" to remove Sam's brain in order to access the information from the All Spark shard, but Optimus Prime and Bumblebee have managed to locate them and free Sam, Mikaela and Leo. Together, they attempt to flee, but in order for Sam to escape, Optimus Prime has to fight Megatron, Starscream and [[Grindor (ROTF)|Grindor]] all by himself. After killing Grindor, Optimus is impaled by Megatron and dies. Just then, the other Autobots arrive, causing Megatron and Starscream to retreat.

In a hijacked TV broadcast, The Fallen reveals his existence to the world public and demands Sam to be surrendered to him. Decepticons land around the globe, killing several thousand people. In Paris, one of them tracks down Sam's parents, [[Ron Witwicky|Ron]] and [[Judy Witwicky]]. A manhunt begins for Sam.

[[Image:Rotf t2 simmonsclassified.jpg|left|thumb|250px|One man, alone, betrayed by the country he served.]]

Sam, hides out with Mikaela, Leo, Bumblebee and the Autobot twins, [[Skids (ROTF)|Skids]] and [[Mudflap (ROTF)|Mudflap]]. Leo eventually suggests they may ask his rival, "[[Robo-Warrior]]", owner of a [[GiantEffingRobots.com|competing website]], for help. To everyone's surprise, Robo-Warrior turns out to be none other than [[Seymour Simmons]], former agent of [[Sector Seven]]. Simmons reveals that symbols similar to those Sam is obsessed with have been found on numerous excavation sites around the world, but in order to read them, they may need a Decepticon. Mikaela then interrogates a [[Wheelie (ROTF)|weird little alien robot she was carrying around in her trunk]] who suggests they may track down one of the [[Seeker (ROTF)|Seekers]]. At the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, they discover an old Decepticon named [[Jetfire (ROTF)|Jetfire]], disguised as an SR-71 Blackbird.

Jetfire claims he has defected to the Autobots and tells them about The Fallen, who betrayed his brothers, the [[Seven Primes|Primes]], many millennia ago. The Fallen intends to destroy the Earth's sun in order to create [[Energon (fuel)|Energon]], the Transformers' source of energy. The symbols in Sam's head are a map to the location of the [[solar harvester]], the weapon the Fallen intends to use to destroy the sun. Jetfire also reveals that only a Prime can stop The Fallen, and a key is needed to activate the Harvester, the [[Matrix of Leadership]]. Sam suggests that they may use the Matrix to revive Optimus Prime, which is backed up by Jetfire.

Jetfire opens a [[space bridge]] and teleports himself as well as Sam, Mikaela, Leo, Simmons, Bumblebee and the Twins to [[Egypt]]. Between the Pyramids of Giza, they find the next clue and travel to Jordan. On the way, Simmons calls Lennox and instructs him to get his team, as well as the dead body of Optimus Prime, to Egypt. In Petra, they discover the tomb of the Primes. Inside, Sam finds the Matrix, which instantly crumbles into dust into his hands. Sam collects the dust regardless, and together, they travel back to Egypt. Meanwhile, Lennox has tricked Galloway into parachuting out of the cargo plane, and eventually the NEST team parachutes down and prepares for battle near the pyramids.

[[Image:ROTF_movie_BumblebeevsRampage.jpg|right|thumb|250px|Man bites dog. Or cat. Or, alien robot bites cat ... oh, never mind.]]

Before Sam and the others can get back to Lennox and his people, the Decepticons start their attack. The Constructicons merge into [[Devastator (ROTF)|Devastator]], who proceeds to swallow Mudflap. Mudflap, however, is able to free himself, and together with Skids, they try to slow Devastator down. While the Autobots and NEST fight the Decepticons, Megatron intends to use Sam's parents to lure him into a trap. Sam, falling into the trap, offers to hand over the Matrix dust to the Constructicon [[Rampage (ROTF)|Rampage]], but only to stall for time until Bumblebee is able to attack and destroy Rampage. Ravage attacks Bumblebee from behind, but is killed as well. Sam then orders Bumblebee to get his parents to safety while he and Mikaela try to reach Optimus Prime's body.

In the meantime, Devastator has begun to to take apart the pyramid that has been built around the Harvester. Simmons calls a navy ship off the coast of Egypt and orders the use of a railgun, which is fired at Devastator and apparently destroys him. Meanwhile, Sam is mortally hit by the blast of a shot fired by Megatron. While paramedics try to reanimate him, the Matrix dust gets spilled across his hand, and Sam encounters the dead Primes in a vision. The Primes tell him that he was destined to find the Matrix and save the life of the last Prime. Sam returns to life, and the dust in his hand turns back into the Matrix. He takes the opportunity to tell Mikaela that he loves her, solving the most important unresolved plot element of the film. And with the Matrix, Sam is able to revive Optimus Prime.

[[Image:ROTF Optimus sphinx.jpg|right|thumb|250px|Two guys who don't talk a lot.]]

Just then, The Fallen teleports himself next to Optimus Prime, grabs the Matrix and teleports himself to the pyramid, where he uses the Matrix to activate the Harvester. Jetfire, who has joined the battle, killing [[Mixmaster (ROTF)|Mixmaster]] before being fatally wounded by [[Scorponok (Movie)|Scorponok]], instructs Optimus Prime to use his parts to battle The Fallen, and then rips out his own Spark. [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]] and [[Jolt (ROTF)|Jolt]] then proceed to turn Jetfire's remains into a battle armor for Optimus Prime, who is then able to destroy the Harvester and kill The Fallen by handover of face.

After the death of his master, Megatron, who has been severely damaged in the battle, follows Starscream's suggestion and retreats.

With the battle won, the Autobots, NEST, Sam and his friends return to the USA on board of an aircraft carrier. Sam and Optimus Prime checked out the view from the back. Upon his return, Sam continues to attend college.

{{note|In adaptations based on early drafts of the screenplay, Sam became a new vessel for the All Spark as it transferred its knowledge from the Cube's remains to him. ==Trivia==
* Sam was not given the nickname "[[Spike Witwicky (G1)|Spike]]", nor [[Ronald Witwicky|his father]] the nickname "[[Sparkplug Witwicky|Sparkplug]]" (though [[Judy Witwicky|his wife ]] does refer to him as "Spark"), because unlike their G1 counterparts the movie characters are not oil rig workers or mechanics. Earlier drafts of the script did have Sam earning the nickname "Spike" another way, but this was dropped before the script was finalized. <ref>[http://boards.transformersmovie.com/showpost.php?p=350123&amp;postcount=4134 Roberto Orci on Paramount's official ''Transformers'' movie forum] explaining why the names Spike and Sparkplug weren't used in the movie.</ref>

* Thanks to his brawl with Frenzy, the back of Sam's shirt is ripped, leaving a hole in the back exposing his back. Interestingly, no one points this out to him or even notices during the time he gets a replacement jacket.

* He's not getting a Porsche. Srsly.

* He doesn't masturbate. Especially not to issues of ''Busty Beauties'', which he doesn't keep in a treasure chest under his bed.

* Sam's [[eBay]] username 'LadiesMan217' is a reference to movie director [[Michael Bay]]'s birthday, February 17th. If 217 had the same meaning for Sam, that would make his date of birth February 17th, 1990.<ref>The [[:Image:Witwickytree.jpg|genealogy chart]] in [[Transformers (2007)|the 2007 movie]] indicates Sam was born in 1990.</ref> ladiesman217 is a registered user on eBay, with no items currently for sale.

* In the Japanese dub of the film, Sam's eBay username is changed from "LadiesMan217" to "playboy217", since "ladies' man" isn't a term the Japanese are familiar with; To better suit this joke in the Spanish version, his Username is "[[wikipedia:Don_Juan|DonJuan217]]", named after the famed Spanish womanizer. In the IDW [[Movie Adaptation|comics adaptation]], his [[Jipe|ePay]] username is "hotstud217". This is even more disturbing.

* In the Latin American dub of the film, Sam appears credited under the name of Sam "Spike" Witwicky.

* According to screenwriter [[Roberto Orci]], he and writing partner [[Alex Kurtzman]] pitched the character of Sam as "Marty McFly on crack." <ref>[http://www.donmurphy.net/board/showpost.php?p=1119191&amp;postcount=1921 Roberto Orci on Don Murphy's forum] responding to criticisms of the human characters.</ref>
At age twelve, [[Ron Witwicky|Sam's father]] presented him with the heirlooms of his ancestor [[Archibald Witwicky]]. At first, thinking they would be priceless artifacts or treasure, Sam was not impressed with what he described as "junk" and made googly eyes with the arctic explorer's glasses. {{storylink|Movie Prequel issue 3|Prime Directive (IDW) issue 3}}
Years later, Sam discovered the concept of riding around in cars to cruise for chicks.

Well, then never mind."<br/> "Really?"<br/> "No, I'm still gonna kill you."]]

Shortly after the battle of Mission City, Sam and Mikaela were watching Ratchet reattach Bumblebee's legs when [[Dispensor|the transformed Mountain Dew machine]] suddenly attacked Sam. Fortunately, Ratchet crushed the creature before it could cause further havoc. Examining the liquid from its remains, Ratchet warned his human friends about the dangers in weight gain and tooth decay that the substance could cause to them. The Decepticons were looking for "it", and both Lennox and Optimus Prime feared they could be after Sam again. Though Lennox refused Prime's suggestion of placing Sam in protective custody at their base on [[Diego Garcia]], believing it was too much for the boy to handle, they agreed that somebody needed to keep an eye on the Sam, and so Bumblebee once again assumed the role of his protector. {{storylink|Alliance issue 4}}

With the Matrix, Sam is able to revive Optimus Prime.

[[Image:ROTF Optimus sphinx.jpg|right|thumb|250px|Take care you two. May the Force be with you.]]

* He's not getting a Porsche. Srsly.

[[Image:MoviePrequel3_Sam_madman.jpg|thumb|left|150px|Sam fails to appreciate the concept of heredity.]]

At age twelve, [[Ron Witwicky|Sam's father]] presented him with the heirlooms of his ancestor [[Archibald Witwicky]]. At first, thinking they would be priceless artifacts or treasure, Sam was not impressed with what he described as "junk" and made googly eyes with the arctic explorer's glasses. {{storylink|Prime Directive (IDW) issue 3}}

Well, then never mind."<br/> "Really?"<br/> "No, I'm still gonna kill you."]]

[[Image:Movie Sam Mikaela meettheAutobots.jpg|thumb|250px]]

Shortly after the battle of Mission City, Sam and Mikaela were watching Ratchet reattach Bumblebee's legs when [[Dispensor|the transformed Mountain Dew machine]] suddenly attacked Sam. The Decepticons were looking for "it", and both Lennox and Optimus Prime feared they could be after Sam again. Though Lennox refused Prime's suggestion of placing Sam in protective custody at their base on [[Diego Garcia]], believing it was too much for the boy to handle, they agreed that somebody needed to keep an eye on the Sam, and so Bumblebee once again assumed the role of his protector. {{storylink|Alliance issue 4}}
==Trivia==

* He's not getting a Porsche. Srsly.

Millions of years ago, Omega Supreme was a member of the legendary [[Guardian robot]]s, and was charged with defending [[Crystal City]], the most spectacular city on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. He befriended the [[Constructicon (G1)|Constructicons]], the city's creators. However, as it would happen, the Constructicons were attacked by [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron's]] [[Robo-Smasher]] and converted into [[Decepticon|Decepticons]]. The now-evil Constructicons convinced Omega to leave his post to help defend another city, and promised to look after the city in his stead. When he left, they demolished the Crystal City, to Omega Supreme's horror. He tracked them down and tried to change the builders back into Autobots, but the process was irreversible, and the treacherous Constructicons lured Omega into an ambush by the Smasher. The Robo-Smasher attacked Omega, but it was destroyed before it could convert him.

Some time after these events transpired — after the launch of the [[Ark (G1)|Ark]] and the ''[[Nemesis (G1)|Nemesis]]'' — the Constructicons left Cybertron in a starship and tried to locate the missing Megatron. He got his chance at revenge when the Constructicons started mining an asteroid that turned out to be the egg of an [[Asteroid bird alien|strange creature]]. Omega left the creature to its own devices, which would have resulted in it devouring [[San Francisco]]. However, [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] convinced Omega to lead the creature back to its asteroid, which would sustain it. Omega lost his chance at revenge, but he did his duty. {{Storylink|The Secret of Omega Supreme}}

{{storylink|Kremzeek!}}

In late 1985, the Autobots used Omega Supreme to follow the Decepticons back to Cybertron when they intended to use [[Vector Sigma]] to create a new group of Decepticon warriors. After failing to stop the Decepticons from creating the [[Stunticon]]s, the Autobots created a new team of their own to counter the new threat, the [[Aerialbot (G1)|Aerialbot]]s. As Omega Supreme escaped Cybertron, he was hit by weapons fire from the [[Centurion droid]]s, and once he safely disembarked his passengers on Earth, he catastrophically exploded. {{Storylink|The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1}}

[[Ratchet (G1)|Ratchet]], [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]] and [[Sparkplug Witwicky]] connected Omega Supreme's mind to the ''[[Ark (G1)|Ark]]'s'' life support unit while they set about putting the giant back together. The arrogant Aerialbots, unimpressed with both the Autobots and the humans they protected, refused to help their comrades in defeating the Decepticons until their group leader [[Silverbolt (G1)|Silverbolt]] showed them how Sparkplug was able to disregard his fatigue and continue repairing Omega Supreme simply because of his concern for a friend's well being. Soon afterwards, the Aerialbots were facing defeat as [[Superion (G1)|Superion]] at the hands of the Stunticon combined form, [[Menasor (G1)|Menasor]], when the newly-repaired Omega Supreme suddenly appeared and helped them defeat the combiner and send the Decepticons packing. {{Storylink|The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 2}}

He transported the Autobots and the Aerialbots back to Cybertron when they detected strange energy readings emanating from the planet. The trip expended his energy so he was forced to sit out the mission. While the Autobots dealt with a [[Kronosphere|time machine]] sending the Aerialbots to the past, the Decepticons reacted one of Omega's fellow Guardian Robots. After the Aerialbots returned from their trip through time, Silverbolt handed over some power packs they had taken from the Cybertron's Golden Age to refuel Omega. {{Storylink|War Dawn}}

After the coming of [[Unicron]], his space transport was fulfilled by [[Sky Lynx (G1)|Sky Lynx]], though he still carried out occasional missions. He transported several Autobots to Junkion to investigate the strange behaviour of the Junkions. He was shot down by [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]], [[Scourge (G1)|Scourge]] and the [[Sweep]]s crashing the Autobots on an asteroid. After being repaired Omega quickly turned the tide of the battle. On arriving on Junkion Omega again battled the Decepticons. He was knocked down by a blast from Galvatron's cannon mode but recovered and battled the Decepticons until Blaster asked him to bring him to altitude to counter the Quintesson signals. {{Storylink|The Big Broadcast of 2006}}
Almost immediately after [[Grapple]] was brought online on Earth, Optimus Prime had a secret project in mind for the architect. {{storylink|Rock and Roll-Out!}} Constructed by Grapple and given life by Prime's [[Creation Matrix]], Omega Supreme was unveiled in front of the Autobots as the Ark's last line of defense. With Omega completed, the Autobots were now free to leave the base en masse to attack the Decepticons, an advantage Optimus Prime took advantage of immediately. As the Autobots attacked the Decepticon headquarters, Megatron, unaware of Omega Supreme's birth, took [[Skywarp (G1)|Skywarp]], [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]], [[Thundercracker (G1)|Thundercracker]], [[Frenzy (G1)|Frenzy]], [[Rumble (G1)|Rumble]], [[Buzzsaw (G1)|Buzzsaw]], and [[Laserbeak (G1)|Laserbeak]] with him to attack the Ark, which he believed to be unguarded. At first Megatron underestimated the tank and rocket ship sitting outside their target, but Omega Supreme transformed and within moments destroyed all of them one by one without pause. Laserbeak managed to escape with a wounded Megatron back to the Decepticons. {{Storylink|Command Performances!}}

''Early on in the first [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]] encounter, the Autobots openly talked about siccing Omega Supreme on the Decepticons. And then '''never did so''', despite it being a smart idea and knowing it was an option.'' {{Storylink|Target: 2006}}
Though Omega Supreme continued to guard the Ark, he didn't seem to stay [[Scale|quite as huge]] as he used to be. He could soon fit into the Ark, where watched with other Autobots as Ratchet tried to repair Optimus Prime, who had fallen in battle. At Prime's funeral, Omega placed his body in his final resting place, a spaceship casket which they shot into space. {{storylink|Funeral for a Friend!}} Omega entered the Ark again when he and other high-ranking Autobots assembled to nominate Prime's replacement, and he suggested courage as a valuable trait for their imaginary candidate. When [[Trypticon (G1)|Trypticon]] attacked, the Decepticon carpeted the entrance to the Ark with sonic scrambler mines, disabling Omega and the other Autobots within; Omega was thus unable to square off against the giant. Fortunately, they were rescued by Grimlock and the other [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]], a turn of events that persuaded him, along with the other Autobots, to support Grimlock as their new leader. {{Storylink|King of the Hill!}} Later, Omega Supreme acted as a sort of Master of Ceremonies when [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]] and Grimlock were due to fight it out for Autobot leadership on the [[Moon (moon)|moon]]. He had shrunk more by then, but once [[Ratbat (G1)|Ratbat]]'s Decepticons surprise-attacked them, he seemed bigger again. Omega traveled with the rest of the Autobots to the [[Arctic]] to investigate a distress signal sent by [[Buster Witwicky]]. Soon, they were ambushed by two Decepticon armies, and Buzzsaw cannon-blasted Omega Supreme - and [[:Image:Buzzsawyikes4.jpg|Omega actually seemed to be getting knocked over]]. This was all revealed as a plot by Starscream to divert both factions away from his attempts to absorb the powers of the [[Underbase]]. Omega traveled to [[Buenos Aires]] as part of a team led jointly by [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Fortress Maximus]] and [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]]. When Fortress Maximus was in danger, he jumped to his rescue -- however, the Underbase-powered Starscream, recalling his earlier defeat at Omega's hands, gleefully killed him. {{Storylink|Dark Star (issue)|Dark Star}}
Some time after the departure of the Ark, Omega Supreme and [[Jetfire (G1)|Jetfire]] were part of one of the last Autobot space programs, tasked with containing the expansion of the Decepticons to other worlds and, more importantly, to find Optimus Prime and the crew of the Ark. After falling out with the other members of the operation, Jetfire and Omega detected what they thought was the energy signature of the Ark, only to be attacked by [[Scourge (G1)|a mysterious, powerful assailant]]. They ultimately ended up buried under Antarctica on Earth. {{Storylink|Original Sin}} Millions of years later, Jetfire remotely reactivated Omega Supreme in an attempt to defeat the powerful and insane [[Sunstorm (G1)|Sunstorm]]. Though Omega Supreme managed to capture the weakened Sunstorm thanks to Ratchet's energy siphon, Starscream destroyed the device to enable his own escape, reactivating Sunstorm and truly commencing the battle between the two powerhouses. Omega was ultimately successful in overpowering Sunstorm in a straight fight, but when he retracted his damaged visor in order to examine his quarry, Sunstorm blasted him right in the face with a burst of solar radiation, instantly knocking him off line. {{Storylink|The Omega Effect}} While he was recuperating from his damage, he shared [[Cliffjumper (G1)|Cliffjumper]]'s concerns over the danger their friends were in and how useless they felt. {{Storylink|Atonement}} Omega later recovered and helped the Autobots in building [[Autobot City]]. {{Storylink|The Route of All Evil}}
Omega Supreme is largely a non-participant in the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Predating the notion of factions and having survived two [[Prime (rank)|Primes]], he remains in seclusion in a specially-shielded artificial asteroid within the [[Muta-Gaath Nebula]]. Though nominally allied with the Autobots, he remains outside of the conflict for fear of escalating it due to the firepower he commands. Instead, he exists as a resource to Primes in times of doubt. However, he did participate in the Autobot/Decepticon battle to stop [[Thunderwing (G1)|Thunderwing]], alongside [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]], [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]], and [[Trypticon (G1)|Trypticon]]. {{storylink|Stormbringer issue 1}}

Omega Supreme is one of the few living Transformers to remember the first ''[[Ark (G1)|Ark]]''. Believing that the Transformer race should exercise a slow inner growth through intellectual contemplation, he frequently clashed with the expansionist [[Nova Prime]], who felt Cybertron's destiny lay in the conquest of other worlds. After the ''Ark''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s departure and Nova Prime's disappearance, Omega Supreme discovered a horrific creation of theirs: [[Monstructor]]. He sealed the gestalt in a dimensionally-displaced prison to prevent it from devastating Cybertron and escalating the burgeoning conflict. Centuries later, Optimus Prime came to him for advice. While the two were talking, Monstructor — somehow freed from captivity — attacked. Omega Supreme told Optimus Prime the truth about himself, Nova Prime, and Monstructor. Though Optimus Prime succeeded in defeating the gestalt, he condemned Omega Supreme for attempting to play god by simply locking them away. {{Storylink|Spotlight: Optimus Prime}}

{{Note|As he was defeated very easily by a single gestalt, this version of Omega is either considerably weaker than others, or the gestalts are considerably ''stronger'' in this continuity. Omega seems to believe the latter.}}

When the [[Dead Universe]] Transformers began attacking the Autobots, Omega confirmed the identities of Galvatron and Cyclonus for Jetfire, informing him that they too had been aboard the first ''Ark'' millions of years ago. {{Storylink|Spotlight: Hardhead}}

[[Image:Omega Arrives in AHM.jpg|thumb|left|200px|RAAAAAIIIID?!]]

Omega Supreme would appear some time later, after the Decepticons had executed a galaxy-wide assault on Autobot outposts, whose security systems had all been shut down by Bombshell's use of the Headmaster technology present within Hunter O'Nion. Alerted by a presumed futile distress call sent by Hot Rod, Omega arrived on Cybertron to assist the group of Autobot survivors, who were stranded there and about to be devoured by the Swarm. Omega's arrival on the battlefield almost instantly turned the tide, and he apologised for taking so long. When questioned about his survival (Prowl stated the Decepticons would've sent an entire ''army'' to take down Omega), Omega gave a simple explanation: "I am Omega Supreme." At Prime's request, he transformed to shuttle mode, allowing the weary Autobots to board and disembark for Earth. {{Storylink|All Hail Megatron issue 10}}

Later, when he arrived on Earth, he engaged [[Devastator (G1)|Devastator]]. We didn't see much of the fight, as [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus]] ordered him to take it somewhere else to avoid damaging the city, but in the part that we did see, Omega was winning. {{Storylink|All Hail Megatron issue 11}} Which means you can throw [[Spotlight: Optimus Prime]] right out of the window.
*'''Omega Supreme''' (1985, 2008)
**''Accessories:'' 2 small shields, 2 medium shields, 2 large shields, 4 armour halves (A, B, C, D), 4 ankle halves (E, F, G, H), 2 feet, backpack, 4 tracks (J, K, L, M)

:Omega Supreme transforms into three individual components simultaneously: a large rocket base, a rocket and a tank. Omega Supreme involves next to no actual manipulation of his parts, "transforming" instead by being disassembled into his component pieces, which are then put back together in a different configuration. (The tank forms his main body, the rocket forms his forearms, the track makes up most of his legs, while the gantry forms his feet and backpack, with extra track parts forming wings.) The torso features a battery-operated motor which propels the tank around the track as its turret spins and flashes with orange light, or allows Omega to walk (very slowly) forward in robot mode. This motor is extremely susceptible to failure.

:Omega Supreme was one of several toys licensed by [[Hasbro]] from manufacturers other than [[TakaraTomy |Takara]]. As a consequence, Omega Supreme was never released in [[Japan]] under the ''Transformers'' brand during the original 1980s run. In June 2008 TakaraTomy released the toy for the first time in Japan as part of their "[[Encore|Transformers Encore]]" ''Generation 1'' [[Generation 1 reissues|reissue]]. The new release was slightly [[retool]]ed to have a face (well, the top half of one) in the tank turret which becomes his head.

: The retooled version was later [[redeco]]ed as a [[Guardian robot]], available through the online [[e-Hobby]] store.
:As an [[Action Master Elite]], Omega Spreem is one of the few figures in the [[Action Master]] line that can actually transform to some extent, in this case transforming into a Cybertronian tank, though the "transformation" itself merely consists of him bending over. A button on back of the tank turret, when pressed, spins the front half of the turret. In robot mode, he carries the front of his tank as a treaded gun.

:Omega Spreem, as with the other Action Master Elites, was only released in Europe and Australasia.
==Trivia==
[[Image:ToyboxMechabot-1.jpg|thumb|250px|Advertising Chanel: lucrative.]]
*Unlike the bulk of early Transformers that drew their molds from [[Takara]]'s ''[[Diaclone]]'' and ''[[Micro Change|Microchange]]'' toys, Omega Supreme's original form was "[http://1501bc.com/pretf/mechabot.html Super Change Robo Mechabot-1]", produced by a company called [[Toybox]] (an origin he shares with [[Sky Lynx (G1)|Sky Lynx]]). As mentioned above, he was not released in [[Japan]] under the ''Transformers'' brand during the original 1980s run, and it seems that he was not released in the United Kingdom, either; part of the reason for the latter omission is presumably due to the fact that the Mechabot-1 mold was licensed to a UK company called Grandstand and sold as [http://megatronofcybertron2.homestead.com/omegatron.html Omegatron], part of Grandstand's ''Convertors'' toyline.

*Originally, Omega Supreme was going to be named [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Fortress Maximus]], due to Hasbro wanting to use the name on something.

*Omega Supreme's name could be translated as "Last of the Best"; given his role as the "last line of defense", this is appropriate.

*Omega Supreme can seemingly launch his rocket into space, leaving the remaining parts behind at his launch base, and then transform fully back to robot mode even though a good number of his body parts are separated from the rocket by a good planetary diameter or two (if not several light years). Indeed, sometimes his rocket mode is seen to be inexplicably landing on his base mode which is already waiting at his destination, leading some to speculate that Omega (rather implausibly) has duplicate body parts on some other planets, "just in case". Some [[fanon]] alternatively holds that in cases such as these Omega's non-rocket parts actually use [[Size changing|size-changing technology]] to shrink down and travel as cargo inside his rocket mode, which are then disgorged and enlarged before landing. Another theory is that the base is transported to [[subspace]], as some believe happens with Optimus Prime's trailer. Whatever helps you sleep at night...
*Omega rarely spoke in the animated series, and then it was usually just two or three words. This, however, was by choice, as he can speak normally if prompted.
*According to the [[Letters page (Marvel_UK)|letters page]] of Marvel UK issue #285, [[External Forces!]], Omega is tougher than a "block of triple-strength [[Durabylium]] Steel."
*Omega Spreem (the name of Omega Supreme's Action Master Elite form) is actually one possible transliteration of the Katakana (i.e. Japanese) version of "Omega Supreme". Thus it is probably a typo resulting from the name "Omega Supreme" going from English to Japanese, and then back to English again. ''[[Romanization|Well]]''.
