:Thundercracker is a Decepticon character in the Generation 1 continuity family.

Thundercracker claims the skies as his arena. He looks down in contempt on those who cannot leave the ground -- he considers them lesser beings. He will often attack the flightless beings below him for no other reason than to satisfy his scorn.

His superiority in this realm is the only thing he is sure of. Thundercracker is not entirely committed to the Decepticon cause, and even has some seemingly contradictory sympathy for the humans they terrorize. Fear of retribution from Megatron and the influence of his peers is usually enough to bury these doubts. Regardless, he needs constant reassurance that he's where he needs to be. Sometimes, his heart's just not in the job.

Thundercracker was one of Megatron's troops who attacked the Ark during its mission to clear a path for Cybertron through an asteroid field. He was deactivated when it crashed on Earth, and he lay dormant for four million years. When he and his fellow Decepticons awoke, Thundercracker was given a new altmode, that of an Earth jet. The Transformers (comic issue) He aided the Decepticons in their building of their new base constructed of parts from Harrison Nuclear Power Plant and joined in their attack on Sparkplug Witwicky's auto repair shop. After the successful abduction of Sparkplug Witwicky, Thundercracker, Skywarp, and Starscream defended their base from Autobots, though Gears and Spider-Man were able to sneak through and rescue Sparkplug. Prisoner of War!

Though Sparkplug Witwicky was able to devise a way for the Decepticons to convert Earth fuel into a usable substance, he also poisoned the result, so Thundercracker and his fellow Decepticons were immobilized at the climax of their would-be final battle with the Autobots. The Last Stand The Decepticon Shockwave took command of the Decepticons and the Ark shortly thereafter, and nursed Thundercracker and his comrades back to full health. Thundercracker may have helped Shockwave attempt to capture and brainwash Bumblebee into a Decepticon, or it may have been Skywarp with red stripes. It's hard to tell. Plight of the Bumblebee!

He served the Decepticon cause up until he was deactivated while battling Omega Supreme and placed in prison stasis at Autobot headquarters.

Like Starscream and Frenzy, he revived early and soon quickly escaped from the Ark. He, Frenzy and Shockwave were then temporarily displaced to Limbo when Hot Rod, Kup and Blurr time-jumped from 2006.

During a massive battle between the Autobots and Decepticons on Earth's moon, Skywarp and the other Decepticons held in stasis aboard the Ark were liberated by the Constructicons and subsequently brought back on-line. Totalled! Much later, Thundercracker attacked an Underbase-powered Starscream in Tokyo, but both he and Skywarp were destroyed by their former flying partner. Dark Star!

Thundercracker was one of Megatron's elite warriors, participating in the attack on the Ark and joining the rest of the Earth-bound Transformers in their several-million-year nap under an inactive volcano. He awoke when the rest of the Decepticons did, and took part in their attempts to gather energon and escape the planet Earth, which he loathed for being too "flat". It was he and Reflector who spotted the first "potential Autobot", when in fact they had discovered the planet's native inhabitants, two humans, in an unliving vehicle.More Than Meets the Eye, Part 1

One of the few things he seemed to loathe even more than the world he was stranded on was the attitude of his commander, Starscream. Thundercracker often started fights with the Air Commander, usually over whether or not Megatron's latest plan was a waste of time (Thundercracker took Megatron's side). At one point, Thundercracker's distaste for "that geeky Starscream" became so strong that he was willing to let Skyfire destroy one of the Decepticons' greatest weapons, just in the hopes that Starscream would get blamed for it!Fire on the Mountain Despite these brushes with treachery, however, Thundercracker just never had it in him to do anything more than complain about his fellow Decepticons.

Thundercracker was present for the Decepticon assault on Autobot City in 2005. After the battle, the injured Thundercracker was tossed out of Astrotrain with the rest of the injured and weakened warriors, who were jettisoned for ballast in order to preserve fuel.

That was not, however, entirely the end of Thundercracker's story. Unicron was waiting in space for a chance like this, and when the newly reborn Galvatron needed some new troops to command, Thundercracker was among the corpses chosen to use as raw materials. His body was used to create Scourge, and was thus given a new lease on life.The Transformers: The Movie (1986)

Later Octane would show concern when he ran into a Decepticon Crypt to hide from some attackers and found a statue of Thundercracker there. After paying his respects and apologizing for the intrusion, Octane decided it would be better to hide behind someone else's statue.Starscream's Ghost
Machine Wars toy bio
The mysterious Machine Wars were a tumultuous time for Thundercracker. At long last he was convinced of and committed to the truth of the Decepticon cause, but Thundercracker now ironically found himself in open rebellion against Megatron's leadership of the faction. It is unknown what events lead to his reversal of heart about the Decepticons and his being branded a "Rebel Warrior." (Since no fictional backstory has ever been established for the Machine Wars line it is possible that it is set in some alternate reality where this was simply Thundercracker's nature, but given that the rest of the characters are clearly their classic G1-selves unrevealed events/character development seem more likely explanations).

Dreamwave comics continuity
One of the first Decepticons recruited by Megatron. Early Megatron's scheming, Thundercracker was sent to Sector Zero-Six with Skywarp and Starscream. On the way, Starscream unintelligently leaked the plan to Grimlock. DW Preview Special 2002

Thundercracker was one of several Decepticon invaders onboard the Ark when it crashed into Earth four million years ago while the Autobot ship was clearing an asteroid in the path of Cybertron.

In 2002, he was one of several Transformers who survived the disastrous launch of the sabotaged Ark II, and was later captured and reprogrammed by arms dealer Adam 'Lazarus' Rook, who intended to rent out the services of the enslaved robots to various terrorist groups. In a demonstration of their power to a group of prospective clients, Thundercracker participated in an attack on the Artic division of the Smitco Oil Refinery by blowing something up. Prime Directive, Part 2

After Megatron reactivated himself, he freed his Decepticon subordinates in order to put forward his plans to infect Earth with a metallic virus of doom. To pass the time while this happened, Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp busied themselves by tearing apart the Autobot Minicar team. Prime Directive, Part 3

Thundercracker later participated in Megatron's attack on San Francisco, where he followed Starscream's orders to maintain formation and drop cluster bombs on the Autobot giant Superion, forcing the Aerialbots to split into their separate component robots. Prime Directive, Part 4

Thundercracker stood watch over the defeated Autobots while Megatron tried to persuade Optimus Prime to help the Decepticons conquer Earth. After some human firefighters distracted the Decepticons long enough for Optimus Prime to free the Autobots, Thundercracker was presumably beaten up and escaped when Superion sacrificed himself to stop a nuclear missile launched by rogue US General Robert Hallo. Prime Directive, Part 6

After Shockwave had defeated Megatron and brought the Decepticons back to Cybertron, Thundercracker and Skywarp spent their time relaxing and bathing, though Thundercracker was skeptical of Shockwave's new order, and compared its promised benefits to the benefits originally promised by Megatron.

Starscream eventually brought several Decepticons back to Earth and lead them in a battle against the Autobots who had stayed behind there. Thundercracker was among those captured by the Autobots, but was eventually freed in exchange for Starscream's assistance in fighting against Sunstorm.
IDW comics continuity
Thundercracker operated as part of a Decepticon insurgent cell that had operated covertly on Earth for at least four years, working to destabilize Earth's governing organizations and create global anarchy. He, Runabout and Runamuck were assigned by Starscream to intercept the human Stoker and retrieve his SM-40 palmtop PC, containing data on their Nebraska operation. The team caught up with and killed Stoker outside Phoenix, AZ, but the SM-40 was missing. Thundercracker tracked the device to Hunter O'Nion and Verity Carlo, but was driven off by Ratchet, who managed to temporarily lose him and the two Battlechargers. After picking Ratchet up again, Thundercracker was later shot down by Prowl, Sunstreaker and Ironhide.
: Japanese ID number: 24

: Originally a Diaclone "Jet Robo Acrobat-Type", Thundercracker transforms into an F-15 Eagle fighter jet, sharing his mold with his teammates Starscream and Skywarp. Many parts need to be removed completely from transformation from robot to jet and back, which nowadays is considered a major drawback of the toy. It is rare to find it complete, as neither mode can hold all the pieces required. There are a few minor mold variations of this toy (common for the first two years of Transformers, really), the most immediately noticeable being that early versions did not have visible "clip-tabs" on the inner face of the gauntlets.

: In 1986, he was made available as a mail-away item (as he was no longer shipping to retail shelves) in the Digital Doom on the Highway to Destruction flier packed with most boxed Transformers toys. He cost $10 and two robot points.

: In 2001, Thundercracker was given a short-run re-issue by Takara as a convention-exclusive item. The toy would later be more extensively released as part of the Hasbro Commemorative Series line, though due to US toy-safety regulations, his missiles were made extra-long.

: This mold is also used by Dirge, Ramjet, Sunstorm and Thrust.

: Released only in European markets, once again Thundercracker was a redeco of Starscream, a non-transforming action figure that combined elements of both the character's cartoon model and toy-form. Like all Action Masters, Thundercracker was a nontransformable action figure with a transformable accessory -- in his case, a Solo Mission Jet Plane vehicle that converted into exo-suit battle armor. However, unlike most of Thundercracker's appearances, Action Master Thundercracker is not in his traditional blue and silver colors, but rather in magenta, purple, blue, gold, and two shades of green. (Oy.)
The two halves of his rifle store in his lower legs. Like all Machine Wars toys, Thundercracker was an exclusive to Kay-Bee stores and related stores like Toy Liquidators.
: Part of the third wave of Smallest Transformer product (dubbed wave "2.5" and available only at CVS stores in Japan), Thundercracker is again a redeco of Starscream. Like all toys in the line, Thundercracker is a tiny, even more simplified version of the original toy, transforming into an F-15 fighter jet. These toys were sold in "blind-packed" boxes, so you could not know which one you had until you actually opened the box. To complicate matters further, Thundercracker was a chase figure, one of two in his wave (the other was a cartoon-colored version of Optimus Prime's trailer).

: Robot Masters Thundercracker is a redeco of Starscream from the same series, a smaller yet more advanced version of the original toy, adding more articulation and reducing the amount of part-forming required. He was available only in a two-pack with Skywarp, which also came with a Decepticon sigil pin and chromed missile pods. This set was the very last product released in the Robot Masters line, and wasn't even strictly sold in a box from that series; instead, it used an e-Hobby Generation 1 reissue box, with a small Robot Masters sticker in the corner tab noting its origin from the front.
As with all 6-inch Titanium Cybetron Heroes, he is constructed mostly of fully painted die-cast metal.
Thundercracker is a redeco of the Classics Starscream toy using the modified version first seen with Skywarp.

: Classics Thundercracker is a faithful reproduction of his original toy, but with modern standards of toy engineering, transformation, sculpting detail and articulation. He transforms into an F-15 Eagle, but has the nose of an F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. His colour scheme is inspired by the original figure released in 1984, but with a shade of blue closer to that of the original Diaclone version.

: In robot mode, Thundercracker is essentially a very detailed version of his cartoon robot mode. He is armed with two (overly large) null-ray missile launchers, which are so large that they restrict his arm movement due to them bumping into his wings.

: There were only 1500 Classics Thundercracker figures produced.
:Starscream is a Decepticon in the Generation 1 continuity family.

Starscream is the treacherous Decepticon Air Commander. He's famous not only for his incredible skill, but also for his limitless (and troublesome) ambition. Starscream believes that he is more suited for command than Decepticon Leader Megatron. Thankfully for Megatron, Starscream's mutinous, power-grabbing plots are almost always transparent, and he can never muster up enough patience to complete a grandiose power play. Even on the few times he has taken control of the Decepticons, he quickly loses control of a situation, but is too arrogant to realize when he's in over his head. Despite his constant failures, Starscream believes it is only a matter of time before he prevails -- his destiny is inevitable.

Starscream's never give up attitude extends even to the afterlife: unlike most Transformers, he has a mutant, indestructible Spark. His life-force cannot be destroyed and can persist even without a body to contain it. However, there is no indication that Starscream (or anybody else) was aware of this fact prior to his destruction.
Generation 1
(Note: Events from the UK-only comic stories are in italics.)

Starscream helped invade the Ark, got deactivated. Woke up, questioned Megatron, got deactivated. Fought Omega Supreme, got deactivated. Was mysteriously active when meeting Cobra. Rescued by Ratbat's forces on the Moon, Starscream later discovered the story of the powerful Underbase. He then set about a chain of systematic betrayals in order to gain access to that power. He set loose Buster Witwicky, whom the Decepticons had been holding prisoner, with equipment that would lure the Autobots to the Decepticon's Antarctica base. The ensuing battle served to distract his fellow Decepticons as he then stole a ship from Scorponok to look for the Underbase. Cold War!

Upon finding it, he began absorbing its power but was unable to finish the task as he was interrupted by Ratbat's ship, piloted by a temporary Autobot/Decepticon alliance. Starscream however survived, thanks to the power he absorbed. After throwing Scorponok's ship at Ratbat's, he loudly proclaimed "I go now to destroy the cities of New York, Tokyo, and Buenos Aires!"

The Autobots and Decepticons traveled to those locations to try and stop Starscream, but they ultimately failed, as a massive amount of the Transformers active on Earth were badly damaged and incapacitated by Starscream's Underbase-powered rampage. The Aerialbots, Jetfire, Bluestreak, Brawn, Gears, Goldbug, Mirage, Hoist, Hound, Jazz, the Seacons, and Blaster were offlined in New York, although Ratbat escaped. The Throttlebots, Thundercracker, Skywarp, the Dinobots (including Grimlock), and the Predacons, were decimated in Tokyo, though Scorponok left before he was destroyed as well. Finally, in Buenos Aires, Starscream wiped out Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Octane, Astrotrain, Blitzwing, the Technobots, the Terrorcons, Omega Supreme, and Soundwave. Fortress Maximus won a reprieve in that battle when Starscream left the fight after intercepting a radio transmission.

Rediscovering the Underbase, Starscream attempted to finish absorbing its power, only to have it overwhelm him which resulted in his destruction. Dark Star!

Dreadwind and Darkwing were sent by Megatron to reclaim Starscream's charred corpse on planet Earth. Starscream's remains were possessed by the essence of the Underbase and went on an insane rampage, nearly killing Dr. Susan Hoffman and her Assistants. The Underbase eventually realized it was acting insane and regained control, but as soon as it did, Dreadwind and Darkwing siphoned all the power out of it and Starscream's corpse returned to being an inanimate pile of scrap which the pair quickly collected. Race with the Devil

Starscream's remains were delivered to Megatron, who kidnapped Ratchet to rebuild Starscream with a powerful Pretender shell. Resurrection Gambit! Megatron ordered Ratchet to wipe Starscream's mind, so Starscream would wreak havoc on Earth among the Decepticons (led by Scorponok (G1)) and Optimus Prime. Ratchet, however, let his true mind to be only suppressed. One good blast caused enough pain to revive the real Starscream. Completely outmatched, he surrendered and begged Scorponok for forgiveness.

Briefly after becoming a Pretender, Starscream began to wallow in self-pity, believing that all the other Decepticons considered him a joke for his many failed take-over attempts and defeats. His self-esteem crumbled every time the other Decepticons refused to speak to him or spoke about him behind his back. In reality, the other Decepticons were terribly frightened of Starscream (thanks to that whole Underbase thing) and were avoiding him so they wouldn't be killed. Starscream sulked about it for a while until he defeated and captured a few Autobots and his confidence began to return.

Starscream fled Cybertron with Shockwave in the Ark after Unicron's assault. Shockwave and Starscream found Megatron and Ratchet awakening from the Nucleon, both very confused and addled due to their mind-link. Ratchet collected enough sanity to direct one of Starscream's null-rays into the Nucleon, causing enough of a chain reaction to send the Ark into a crash-landing on Earth, once again resulting in Starscream's deactivation.

Generation 2
Megatron revitalized Starscream who then, predictably, betrayed Megatron and the Decepticons once again. This time by giving Jhiaxus and his troops information that allowed them to take control of the Decepticon's Warworld. Starscream then double-crossed Jhiaxus, stole the Creation Matrix (which Megatron had stolen from Prime earlier) and used its powers to merge himself with the Warworld, becoming an unstoppable force of destruction. As Optimus Prime and Megatron entered the possessed ship to try and stop him, Starscream discovered firsthand the dangers of stealing the Matrix as it rewrote his programming to better suit its own tastes. As a result, Starscream soon became a snow-white boy scout with no mounted weapons that would never hurt a fly and went out of his way to help old ladies across the street. (More or less.)

He fervently hopes the effect is only temporary.
Voice Actor: Chris Latta (US), Hirotaka Suzuoki (Japan)

Starscream was the Decepticons' second-in-command. He was rash, boastful, cowardly, and even whiney. Millions of years before the war between Autobots and Decepticons would force both sides off Cybertron, Starscream was not a warrior but rather a scientist. He and his colleague Skyfire were exploring an unnamed planet - the ancient Earth - when severe atmospheric conditions separated the two friends. Starscream circled the globe looking for Skyfire, but he never found his colleague.Fire in the Sky After the outbreak of war, Starscream and his fellow Decepticons would become entombed on the same alien world for four million years before emerging to continue their battle on Earth, with Starscream reformatted as a terrestrial F-15 fighter jet.

Starscream's rash and spiteful actions led to the resurrection of the Autobots on Earth, when a blast intended to trap the Autobots there forever caused Optimus Prime to fall into the life giving rays of Teletraan-I, who soon had all his fellow Autobots ready for action again.More Than Meets the Eye, Part 1 Starscream would always demand action rather than waste time with planning, often calling Megatron a coward or taking action himself without waiting for the order. Needless to say, this got him nearly killed by Megatron on more than one occasion.

Starscream's status probably came from the fact he had command over the other Jet Fighter Decepticons, which formed pretty much 50% of the entire Decepticon force at the time of the first and second seasons. Megatron, very desperate for troops (especially ones who were so predictable), kept Starscream around.

Starscream's ambition was also great, and often sought to take command away from Megatron. One such attempt was to challenge him to a duel, and shoot him in the back when he turned away laughing. His "victory" here was short lived, as Megatron was just stunned, shot Starscream, and banished him from his forces. This led Starscream to "create" the Combaticons, from a bunch of wrecked army vehicles he found on the island he was deserted on, and some Decepticon "Brains" he stole from a Decepticon prison on Cybertron.Starscream's Brigade Megatron let him, and his newly formed army, back into the Decepticons soon afterwards, despite the fact they were all Decepticon outcasts and criminals.The Revenge of Bruticus

Starscream's thirst for leadership led to his death when, during the Decepticon's dramatic siege on Autobot City, Megatron would fight his final battle with Optimus Prime. By the end of it, the Decepticon leader was battered beyond repair, left on the verge of stasis lock. Starscream, who if nothing else can see an opportunity in every situation, took advantage of this moment of weakness to rally the healthy Decepticons that remained after the battle, ejecting the "dead weight" of his wounded former comrades into space. Starscream, with transparent satisfaction, threw Megatron out personally, before closing the door on that part of Transformers history and beginning an inter-Decepticon brawl that would eventually place him at the head of the ranks.

Starscream couldn't have known, of course, that Megatron would be found and reshaped by the godlike Unicron before his Spark faded completely. Reborn as Galvatron, he made it his first order of business to take back what Starscream had taken, interrupting the pompous and overblown coronation Starscream had set up for himself and killing him with a single, terrible blast, likely setting a record for the shortest reign in Decepticon history.The Transformers: The Movie (1986)

This was not the end, however, as his ghost came back, with "cunning" schemes. First he possessed Cyclonus, and handed Galvatron over to Rodimus Prime. Rodimus didn't kill or even imprison Galvatron however, and he came back angered and shot his second in command, not realizing he had not been himself.Starscream's Ghost Starscream had already found a new host in Scourge by this time, whom he used in his next "master plan". This one involved making deals with Unicron, who requested Starscream help him find new body parts, in return for a new body for himself. Starscream followed his orders exactly, until his host ran off before his could connect Unicron's head to Cybertron as a new body. This is where Starscream showed his "true cunning", stating that if Unicron wanted him to connect him to his new Planet, he would have to give him his new body first. Unicron did so, repeating his request to finish connecting his head to his new body, however Starscream turned on him immediately, telling him mockingly to do it himself. At this point, the Autobots set off a load of explosives, unaware of these turn of events, that sent Starscream, in his new body, spinning out of control through space, past Galvatron and his crew (Galvatron took this chance to fire at what he thought was a ghost), and never to be seen again.

One last thing to note is Cyclonus's line after the last glimpse of Starscream: "Wait a minute... since when do ghosts stumble out of control through space?"Ghost in the Machine
Between the events of "Starscream's Ghost" and "Ghost in the Machine" the 5th issue of the Transformers 2010 manga (simply called "The Transformer") takes place. In this story, Starscream's ghost teams up with the Quintessons who build him a powerful new body. The new body, equipped with attacks such as "Right Arm Destron Gun" and the "Revolver Laser", was created using a combination of Optimus Prime's and Megatron's designs. The result is Guiltar.

Guiltar joins the Decepticons and quickly becomes Galvatron's right-hand man (literally, in like, 5 seconds). Galvatron tricks Rodimus Prime into engaging him in a one-on-one battle in which Guiltar fakes defeat. When Rodimus least suspects it, Guiltar attacks and lays the smackdown. Galvatron compliments Guiltar on his power and loyalty, and instinctively, Guiltar beats the crap out of Galvatron and declares his ambition to take-over the Decepticons. Rodimus Prime and Galvatron call a truce and join forces to defeat Guiltar. They wreck him something fierce, destroying his body and forcing Starscream's ghost out. They then end the truce and go about their business.
Little was known about Starscream among the Maximals, as the Maximal Elders had classified most of his history. However, Dinobot, a student of military history, was familiar with Starscream's history of deceit and betrayal. It is possible that Megatron was also aware of his history, as he ordered Scorponok to keep him eye on him.

Starscream's ghost traveled through time and space to the prehistoric earth of the Beast Wars, where he possessed Waspinator's body during an electrical storm. He ingratiated himself with Megatron, claiming that he had been destroyed by Unicron while protecting Galvatron. After leading a successful raid on the Axalon, he was left in command of the captured Maximal ship, along with Blackarachnia and Scorponok, the former of whom he took as his 'protégé'. When the defeated Maximals surrendered to him, he took Dinobot and Optimus Primal hostage and ordered the remaining Maximals to attack the Darkside - Scorponok objected, but he was very forcefully overruled. Shortly after the attack began, the two captive Maximals broke out and drove the Predacons out of the Axalon. Starscream fled, pursued by Primal, and abandoned Blackarachnia to her fate. After a spirited chase, Primal cornered Starscream at an energon deposit, paralyzing him. As he tried to bargain his way out of his predicament, his vengeful ex-partner Blackarachnia detonated the energon, blowing Waspinator to scrap and forcing Starscream's spark out of his body.
Starscream was a competitor in Cybertron's underground gladiatorial matches, the breeding ground for what would eventually become the Decepticons. He enjoyed baiting his fellow combatant, Grimlock; in fact, he was a master at it. Once war broke out, he kept taunting his old friend, which eventually backfired when he told Grimlock exactly where the Seekers were going to attack, giving Grimlock time to set a massive bomb. Starscream's life was saved only by the fast action of Skywarp.

In typical fashion, Starscream tried to seize power. While Megatron was deep within the bowels of Cybertron, Starscream instructed Scrapper to initiate the planet's long-hidden transformation sequence, hoping Megatron would be crushed in the process. Some people never learn.

A few millenia later, after the apparent death of Megatron, Starscream created a splinter group of Decepticons called Predacons. However, when your smartest subordinate is Motormaster you can't expect much of your forces.

Starscream was among the Decepticon boarding party that attacked the Autobot flagship Ark, causing its crash landing on Earth and putting all both Autobot and Decepticon alike in emergency stasis. In 1984 a volcanic eruption awakened the Ark's computer, Teletran-I, and it repaired all on board. In 1998, the combined forces of the Autobots and Earth defeated and captured the Decepticons. Starscream secured on board the Ark 2 along with the other Decepticons when the ship exploded, killing the human crew and scattering the Transformers across the ocean. Arms dealer Adam Rook (aka. Lazarus) recovered several of the Autobots and Decepticons and used them as a reprogrammed weapon for hire for terrorists and despots. Prime Directive, Part 1 As part of a demonstration to prospective buyers, Rook had Starscream join an assault against the Smitco Oil Refinery alongside half a dozen Transformers. When Megatron eventually broke free of Rook's control, he freed the other Decepticons. Prime Directive, Part 2

The reactivated Starscream, along with his Seeker brothers Thundercracker and Skywarp, took a particular pleasure in dismantling the Autobot Minicars. When Megatron complained that he didn't rewire them so they could sit around and do nothing, Starscream playfully said they were only having some fun with their new toys. Megatron ordered the three Decepticons to follow him, and when Skywarp asked Starscream what their leader's plan was this time, the air commander casually tossed Bumblebee's head over his shoulder said that he doesn't care, as it was going to be evil, and evil is always fun. Soon afterwards, the Autobots arrived and attacked. As Starscream attempted to choke Wheeljack, Sideswipe paid him back, with a nice throat punch. All the combatants were them bombed the rogue members of the US military. Prime Directive, Part 3

The Decepticons escaped and attacked San Francisco. When Superion appeared to stop Devastator, Starscream led the other Seekers in bombing Autobot giant, forcing the Aerialbots into their component team members and putting them at the mercy of Devastator. Prime Directive, Part 5 Starscream and the other Decepticons secured the Autobots after Optimus Prime defeated Devastator. The Autobot leader managed to free the Autobots after humans distracted the Decepticons, and the battle was rejoined. Fellow F-15 Air Raid punched Starscream in the face, repaying him for the earlier defeat. After the Aerialbots as Superion sacrificed their lives to save San Francisco from General Hallo's unauthorised nuclear strike, Starscream and the other Decepticons escaped. Prime Directive, Part 6

Starscream led the Decepticons in joining Shockwave's Cybertronians after Megatron was defeated, and was the first to recognize the mind altering techniques being employeed. Starscream escaped the CR chambers long enough to almost succeed in assassinating Megatron. Punishment didn't deter him and Starscream was almost immediately creating a small sect of seperatist Decepticons on Cybertron. Starscream used the cover of Menasor's release to steal the incapacitated Combaticons to form his own army. If only he didn't try to hijack Sky Lynx. Yet another rebellion defeated by bad planning. Some people never learn.
Starscream, along with his comrades, Skywarp and Thundercracker, were recruited by Soundwave when Megatron requested fliers. They believed they had been called to join Megatron's gladiatorial team, but accepted the offer to join the Decepticons. Starscream immediately proclaimed his alligence, and declared how much of an honor fighting along side Megatron would be. After going through some upgrades to boost their fire ppower, the Seekers' first duty was to capture a senator, who would be executed at Megatron's recruitment rally. When the security forces intervened, Starscream was captured, and, surprise, surprise, offered to reveal Megatron's plans to save his own neck. Plans Megatron regretted giving him everything on. Megatron Origin, Part 3

Later, Starscream, now an F-22 Raptor, is the leader of a Decepticon insurgent cell that has operated covertly on Earth for at least four years, working to destabilize Earth's governing organizations and create global anarchy, being opposed by an Autobot unit lead by Prowl. However, since the discovery of the mysterious, Energon-like substance, Ore-13, Starscream has stepped outside standard procedure, establishing a second command bunker in Oregon above a richer seam of the ore than the one in Nebraska and ordering Blitzwing and Skywarp to cover his tracks. Starscream intended to use Ore-13 to challenge Megatron for leadership of the Decepticons, but when the moment of truth finally arrived, the energy source proved insufficient to destroy the Decepticon leader, and Megatron blasted Starscream with his fusion cannon at point blank range, virtually obliterating him. It is unclear whether or not Starscream will recover, as Megatron told the other Decepticons, "See to the remains. If he lives, then I'll decide what to do with him."

IDW Hearts of Steel continuity
Starscream is the nominal leader of the Decepticons on 19th-century Earth, while Megatron sleeps in stasis lock. He decides to conquer the Earth in this time, and use that power to overthrow Megatron when he should wake up. Posing as a benefactor to humanity, he enlists the help of inventor Tobias Muldoon to design new altmodes for the Decepticons. Hearts of Steel, Part 2 In particular, Starscream builds (or reformats) Astrotrain for an assault on New York City, and the new electrical generators there. Hearts of Steel, Part 3 It all ends badly. Hearts of Steel, Part 4

Starscream has three bodies through the course of this story. His initial "Ice Age Wars" body appears to be a prehistoric flying reptile. He then takes on two fanciful biplane bodies in succession, one with one engine per wing and bat-wing-shaped propellers, and one with two engines per wing and straight-bladed propellers. (And then he switches back to the one-engine body.) No reason is given for him changing from one biplane body to the next. (The fact that planes are an anachronism in the 19th century is lightly glossed over.)
Radio drama
One night, the disembodied spirit of a Transformer possessed the body of the E.D.C. Kiss Player Atari Hitotonari. Discovering that it could not transfer itself to the bodies of other Transformers with souls, it forced Atari to seek out the twisted Doctor Arkeville, who built it a new body converted from a stolen fighter jet. Kissing it, Atari transferred the spirit into its new form. Starscream was reborn!

A couple of minutes later, Starscream's new body got blown up by Autroopers and his ghost flew back into space again.
Generation 1
* Starscream (Decepticon Jet, 1984/1985/1986, 1991, 2001, 2003, 2004)
: Japanese ID number: 22, TFC-09

: (Note: For some reason, the stats on Skywarp's and Starscream's tech specs were switched around. Starscream was given Skywarp's numbers.)

: Starscream's first toy was taken from the Diaclone line, transforming into an F-15 Eagle fighter jet. In this mode he is armed with two cluster bombs, essentially shortened projects made to resemble (somewhat) the drop tanks that a real F-15 might carry. There are numerous minor construction variations on this mold, common for most of the Diaclone-based Transformers.

: To transform Starscream, one must essentially take most of his plane parts off and transform his body, then reattach his plane parts on again. In robot mode, the cluster bomb projectiles are replaced with long 'null rays.

: The first reissue of Starscream was practically identical to the original toy, and was released by Takara in Japan in 2001.

: Starscream was reissued in normal colours for Hasbro's Commemorative Reissue line in 2003. The release had remolded elongated missiles and launchers as to comply with current US toy safety laws.

: Starscream's Transformer Collection reissue from 2003 was redecoed into show-accurate colours, and came with retooled fists to hold a new miniature Megatron gun mode accessory. An Optimus Prime fist that could hold the gun was also included, as was a DVD.

: This mold is redecoed and retooled into Dirge, Ramjet, Skywarp, Sunstorm, Thrust and Thundercracker.
* Starscream (Classic Pretender, 1989)

:Starscream was released as a Classic Pretender with a human shell of a badly dressed man. The inner robot was a simplified version of the original toy, that transformed into an almost superdeformed F-15 fighter. His arms, legs and rear wing assemblies were all cast in blue plastic, with the latter also serving as dual laser weapons in robot mode.

* Starscream (Legends, 1989)

:The inner robot of Pretender Starscream was also sold separately as a K-Mart exclusive "Legends" figure, and was released with Legends Bumblebee, Jazz, and Grimlock in a Japanese giftset the same year.

* Starscream (Action Master, 1990)

: Action Master Starscream is a non-transforming action figure based loosely on his cartoon appearance but using a colour scheme derived from the Pretender toy. His main accessory is the Attack Jet, a small personal attack craft that Starscream can set astride like a motorcycle. The Attack Jet rolls on three small wheels, and can transform into a gun emplacement.

: Black Starscream was also an e-Hobby exclusive release, with his colours loosley based upon Machine Wars Starscream, though his deco has much darker shades of gray, lacks clear blue plastic and has gold as one of his primary colours.
Four of the winners are still unknown, but the fifth figure is currently owned by Transformers @ The Moon. Secret Starscream differs from Ghost Starscream in that its plastic parts are completely clear and not color tinted.

:Starscream's Generation 2 release was a retool of his original toy with new missiles, launchers, and a sound box. His colours are essentially a combination of G1 Ramjet, his own original colours, and a replacement of his dark blue plastic with light grey.

: Starscream's Machine Wars release was a recolour of the Predator Skyquake with fewer missiles, no hand-held projectile launcher, and most of the gimmicks removed. He transforms into a large bomber based vaguely upon an SR-71 Blackbird. He still retains his "carpet bombing" gimmick, a rolling drum that drops his missiles from each wing.

: Starscream's Robot Masters toy is a re-imagining of the original toy, designed to be closer to the animation model, with greater poseability and integrated parts that did not require detachment during transformation (with the exception of his null-ray blasters). After re-engineering the design to stay roughly in one piece during transformation, Takara then gave him chromed missile pods that attach to his chestplate. Although not his usual choice of weapon, these are show-accurate: Starscream used them once in the episode "Fire On The Mountain" to attack Trailbreaker and Brawn.
Masterpiece
* Starscream (2006)
: Japanese ID number: MP-3

: Masterpiece Starscream is a high-quality, superbly detailed collectable Transformer toy. He transforms into a mostly accurate F-15E Eagle, with weapons options ranging from a rack of Sidewinder missiles to his trademark null ray cannons. In robot mode he is a highly detailed, well-articulated, yet stylized version of his original robot mode. His chest turbines flip up to reveal a bank of missiles each, and his face can be rotated so as to display either a stern or a smirking face.

:He comes with a small figurine of Doctor Arkeville, his partner-in-crime for several early episodes of Generation 1; a display stand that can be used in both fighter and jet modes; and an extensive sheet of sticker decals, including variously sized Decepticon symbols, squadron numbers and squadron markings, including one of Waspinator!

: Masterpiece Starscream was the second all-new sculpt in the Masterpiece series of toys, and was envisioned as the finest toy representation of the original Starscream ever created. To this end, famed Japanese mecha designer (and former Diaclone toy designer) Shoji Kawamori was recruited to oversee the design and engineering of this toy. The first prototype design was essentially a much more complex version of the original toy, based upon his cartoon and recent comic appearances, with a much more accurate F-15 Eagle fighter mode. However, Kawamori felt the design could be improved, particularly the details and underside of the fighter mode, as he did not want what would have basically been a new version of the old toy.

: Based on Kawamori's suggestions, a new prototype design was made, with major structures located in his legs now moved up to his hips (though they can be detached and put on his legs), with his transformation and design streamlined to create an even more realistic F-15 design. Even so, Kawamori was still unhappy with the amount of robotic parts visible underneath the plane, but conceded that too many changes would essentially not make the toy look like Starscream in robot mode.

: On his control art, there are pictures of Starscream that have him wearing his Decepticon Crown of Leadership, as seen in the coronation scene of the original animated movie. On the toy itself, his head and shoulders have notches for parts to attach to, suggesting that TakaraTomy have reserved Starscream's coronation parts for a later release of this toy.

: Oddly, Starscream's fighter colour scheme is inaccurate to real F-15E hull colours (Gunship Gray, colour code FS 36118) , in that it has more of a green-blue tinge, which has made collectors wonder why TakaraTomy bothered changing Starscream's colours in the first place, especially as Starscream's original pale grey is very close match to FS 36375, the main grey used on real F-15s of the 1980s. Additionally, his missiles are painted in the wrong colours (they should be the same grey) and are mounted sideways on their pylons, which is why they only have three fins on the back instead of four - they couldn't fit the fourth fin as they mounted the missiles themselves incorrectly.

* Starscream (2007)

: A Wal-Mart exclusive, Hasbro's release of Masterpiece Starscream has been redecoed extensively to resemble the animation model of Starscream, down to the orange canopy and the gray nosecone (as opposed to the original toy's blue). In an effort to bring out detail in the sculpt, he has also been given an extensive paint wash and a rather excessive carbon scoring/weathering deco. Starscream comes with the same accessories included in the Takara release of this toy, including a display stand, sidewinder missiles and a small figurine of Doctor Arkeville. It is unknown at this time if he includes the clip to hold gun mode Megatron while in jet mode. Starscream was finally given the correct tech spec stats he was originally supposed to have back in 1984 for this release, Skywarp's stats.

: As of writing it is unknown if he will include the decal sheet that was included with the Takara release of Starscream, or share the structural improvements made on Masterpiece Skywarp. Nor is it know if he will come with his movie cartoon's cape and crown, but that seems less and less likely.

:This version of Starscream will also be released in Japan as an exclusive item in the same packaging, though the paint decos are different, mostly removing his excessive weathering and carbon scoring.

: Classics Starscream is a faithful reproduction of his original toy, but with modern standards of toy engineering, transformation, sculpting detail and articulation. He still transforms into an F-15 Eagle, but has the nose of an F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. His colour scheme is inspired by photolab-edited photographs of the prototype F-15 Eagle, as the original photos and the actual colours of the prototype fighter were actually sky blue with bright orange markings.

: In robot mode, Starscream is essentially a very detailed version of his cartoon robot mode, with many design elements that would also find their way into Masterpiece Starscream. He is armed with two (overly large) null-ray missile launchers, which are so large that they restrict his arm movement due to them bumping into his wings.

: Later versions of Starscream saw a retool in the jet intake area first seen on Classics Skywarp. The slope of his shoulders was decreased, and a rectangle added to the vertical area, making the number now five instead of four. This version of Starscream is the harder to find of the two. This retooled version was used for Classics Skywarp, Ramjet, Thundercracker, Thrust, and Dirge.
As with all 6-inch Titanium Cybertron Heroes, he is constructed mostly of fully painted die-cast metal.
The main differences between the two lines is that Hasbro cast Autobot and Decepticon figures in clear blue or clear red PVC respectively, then completely painted the figurines. * Starscream (Mirage Vs Starscream, 2007)
: Starscream is two inch high figure sculpted in a super deformed style and articulated at the shoulders. This figure was later redecoed as (guess what) Thundercracker for the Jazz vs. Thundercracker set. It also was redecoed as Skywarp in the "Decepticon Sneak Attack" set.

Trivia
* In the French dub of Transformers: The Movie, Starscream (along with Shrapnel) inexplicably became a woman. This change, however, was only for the movie, as it used a different dubbing team from the cartoon. Most likely, the movie's French dubbing team mistook Starscream's rather high-pitched voice for a woman's voice.
* The G1 executive script consultant, Flint Dille, has claimed in personal interviews that Chris Latta had to frequently be bailed out of jail by members of the production staff. This apparently caused so much annoyance that it was a major factor in phasing Starscream out of the series.
Teleportation is a dangerous tool in the hands of a capable adversary. Thankfully for the Autobots, Skywarp is the Decepticon who possesses that ability. Skywarp's not so bright, so without supervision he's worthless as a warrior. He mostly uses his teleportation power for immature pranks on both friend and foe. He takes a charmingly puerile angle at thuggery, so his pranks are well-received amongst his Decepticon peers (excepting the victim, of course).

Skywarp was one of Megatron's troops who attacked the Ark during its mission to clear a path for Cybertron through an asteroid field. He was deactivated when it crashed on Earth, and he lay dormant for four million years. When he and his fellow Decepticons awoke, Skywarp was given a new altmode, that of an Earth jet. The Transformers (comic issue) He aided the Decepticons in their building of their new base constructed of parts from Harrison Nuclear Power Plant and joined in their attack on Sparkplug Witwicky's auto repair shop. After the successful abduction of Sparkplug Witwicky, Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Starscream defended their base from Autobots, though Gears and Spider-Man were able to sneak through and rescue Sparkplug. Prisoner of War!

When Starscream fired upon his teammate Ravage for eavesdropping on his plot to overthrow Megatron, Skywarp and the other Decepticons sought deadly revenge on the Decepticon Air Commander. The Enemy Within! Though Starscream escaped, the Decepticons soon regrouped to attack the Ark, but their battle was ended prematurely when Auntie, the Ark's computer system, magnetized the walls, immobilizing both factions. Raiders of the Last Ark Skywarp also traveled with the Decepticons to the United Kingdom, where he and his teammates attempted to learn about a mysterious Autobot rescue ship buried under a castle. An initial attack on the Autobots left Skywarp seriously wounded by a bomb from Bluestreak. Man of Iron!

Though Sparkplug Witwicky was able to devise a way for the Decepticons to convert Earth fuel into a usable substance, he also poisoned the result, so Skywarp and his fellow Decepticons were immobilized at the climax of their would-be final battle with the Autobots. The Last Stand The Decepticon Shockwave took command of the Decepticons and the Ark shortly thereafter, and nursed Skywarp and his comrades back to full health. Skywarp may have helped Shockwave attempt to capture and brainwash Bumblebee into a Decepticon, or it may have been Thundercracker without red stripes. It's hard to tell. Plight of the Bumblebee!

He served the Decepticon cause up until he was deactivated while battling Omega Supreme and placed in prison stasis at Autobot headquarters.

When Galvatron traveled back from the year 2006 to build a super weapon to destroy Unicron, Skywarp was a key player in the defeat of the mad Decepticon. Sorta.

The Autobots took Skywarp out of stasis, painted him to look like Starscream and sent him stumbling toward Galvatron with a tape-recorder of Starscream's voice on his back. Galvatron, still sore about Starscream tossing him out of Astrotrain during his Megatron days, shot and presumably killed Skywarp. Galvatron then realized that if he killed Starscream in the past then there's no way he could have killed Starscream in the future. Believing he was in an alternate past and thus nothing he did there would effect his personal timeline, Galvatron hurried back to his proper time. Way to take one for the team, Skywarp. Target 2006

During a massive battle between the Autobots and Decepticons on Earth's moon, Skywarp and the other Decepticons held in stasis aboard the Ark were liberated by the Constructicons and subsequently brought back on-line. Totalled! During the first Decepticon Civil War, Skywarp battled with Ratbat's Decepticons against Scorponok's Decepticons. Skywarp surprised Bugly with his teleportation powers and blasted him, temporarily stunning him. However, Bugly successfully returned fire, striking where he guessed Skywarp would next teleport. Cold War! Skywarp was repaired in time to face an Underbase-powered Starscream in Tokyo, but both he and Thundercracker were destroyed by their former flying partner. Dark Star!

Generation 2
The Autobots and the Decepticons had just agreed to make an alliance against the Cybertronian Empire, but the Decepticons disagreed about aiding other planets' people. When the Autobots went alone to fight the Cybertronians, they almost were defeated, until Skywarp (yes, this article is about him) suddenly appeared, followed by the rest of the Decepticon army, to aid the Autobots.

Skywarp was one of the elite Decepticons that accompanied Megatron in infiltrating the Ark four million years ago. After crash-landing on Earth, the Decepticons and Autobots laid dormant for four million years, until volcanic activity stirred them into consciousness. Skywarp was the first of the Ark's Transformers to be reformatted and awakened by Teletraan-1. Now an F-15 fighter jet, Skywarp next dragged Megatron's body into the reformatting rays of the Ark's computer.

Since the Decepticons were so badly short-staffed during their early days on Earth, Skywarp was usually involved in whatever crazy plot for universal domination Megatron was hatching. This included attacks on an off-shore oil rig, Sherman Dam and the ruby crystal mines of Burma. When the Decepticons escaped the Burma operation with a cache of energon cubes, Skywarp requested permission from Megatron to teleport in order to scare off Autobot pursuers. Teleporting behind the strangely-airborne duo of Ironhide and Bluestreak, Skywarp pasted the ornery old Autobot with a heat-seeking missile, knocking him out of the sky that he probably shouldn't have been able to fly around in.

Skywarp continued to serve the Decepticons for many more years, never really doing anything notable. He was first to fall victim to an invention developed by Wheeljack that allowed Teletraan-1 to briefly take control of his body. Chip Chase, a human ally of the Autobots, planted the device on Skywarp's ankle in the thick of battle. Skywarp's teleportation power did come in use when he was needed to sneak up on the Autobots (who were all in vehicle mode) and zap them with the transfixatron.

In 2005, Skywarp was badly injured during the battle of Autobot City. Though he escaped with the rest of his comrades aboard Astrotrain, he was tossed out into space with other badly damaged Decepticons part way to Cybertron so that the rest would be able to make it home. Skywarp's body was gathered by Unicron and, among others, used to make Galvatron's new warriors. Skywarp arguably became either Cyclonus or Cyclonus's Armada, the identical warrior who was never seen again. Either way, Skywarp effectively ceased existing.
After the Decepticons lost the Great War, and Maximals and Predacons claimed the planet, another Megatron subjugated nearly every Transformer alive with a transformation-lock virus and an army of Vehicons. Skywarp was one of the handful of Transformers who had slipped through Megatron's fingers, and eventually he and Cyclonus joined up with the legendary strike team, the Wreckers. Given a mission by the Oracle, the Wreckers fought through an army of Vehicons to steal an Autobot shuttle in order to get off-planet. Departure

Skywarp was one of several Decepticon invaders onboard the Ark when it crashed into Earth four million years ago while the Autobot ship was clearing an asteroid in the path of Cybertron.

In 2002, he was one of several Transformers who survived the disasterous launch of the sabotaged Ark II, and was later captured and reprogrammed by arms dealer Adam 'Lazarus' Rook, who intended to rent out the services of the enslaved robots to various terrorist groups.

Skywarp later participated in Megatron's attack on San Francisco, where he followed Starscream's orders to maintain formation and drop cluster bombs on the Autobot giant Superion, forcing the Aerialbots to split into their seperatate component robots. Prime Directive, Part 4

Skywarp presumably stood watch over the defeated Autobots while Megatron tried to persuade Optimus Prime to help the Decepticons conquer Earth. After some human firefighters distracted the Decepticons long enough for Optimus Prime to free the Autobots, Skywarp was presumably beaten up and escaped when Superion sacrificed himself to stop a nuclear missile launched by rogue US General Robert Hallo.

Note: Skywarp appeared sporadically in this mini-series, but was not shown again after issue 4, for whatever reason. Naturally he reappears in the subsequent mini-series and on-going the Generation 1 title. Prime Directive, Part 6

IDW comics continuity
Skywarp is part of a Decepticon infiltration unit that has operated covertly on Earth for at least four years, working to destabilize Earth's governing organizations and create global anarchy. His alternate form is an F-22 Raptor fighter jet.

Starscream assigned him and Blitzwing to destroy all traces of the Nebraska operation, but, after demolishing the abandoned Nebraska command bunker, he is severely damaged by Megatron who, unfortunately for Skywarp had been inside at the time. This Megatron is apparently not one to hold grudges and he soon has Skywarp repaired and functioning again, under the understanding that there will be no further second chances.

It would appear that Skywarp has the ability to teleport others in addition to himself in this continuity, as he and Astrotrain appear to both fly out of one of his warps during a battle.

IDW Hearts of Steel continuity
Skywarp listened to Starscream discussing his plans for conquering Earth, and was told that he (Skywarp) would fly ahead of Astrotrain, leading the way. (There's no evidence in the story that he actually did this, but if it's true, he may have survived the Decepticon defeat unharmed.) His altmode is the same as Starscream's one-engine-per-wing body. He only gets two lines of dialogue.

: The only 1984 Seeker with a deco not used previously in Takara's Diaclone line, Skywarp transforms into an F-15 Eagle fighter jet, sharing his mold with his teammates Starscream and Thundercracker. Many parts need to be removed completely for transformation from robot to jet and back, which nowadays is considered a major drawback of the toy. It is rare to find it complete, as neither mode can hold all the pieces required. There are a few minor mold variations of this toy (common for the first two years of Transformers, really), the most immediately noticeable being that early versions did not have visible "clip-tabs" on the inner face of the gauntlets.

: Early Hasbro stock photos show Skywarp with a plastic purple nosecone. This was changed to a soft black rubber nosecone when the toy was actually released. However, a Mexican variant retained the purple plastic nosecone. The same stock photos also show him with purple launchers with black triggers and ring, black feet, black shins, black outer arm panels, purple horizontal stabilizers, and both sets of missiles are purple. These stock photos were also later used to promote Takara's 2001 reissue.

: In 2001, Skywarp was given a short-run reissue (limited to only 1,000 pieces) by Takara as a convention-exclusive item, bundled together with Thundercracker as "Collector's Edition" Set C. The toy would later be more extensively released in 2003 as part of Hasbro's Commemorative Series series IV, though due to US toy-safety regulations, his missiles were made extra-long.

: Robot Masters Skywarp is a redeco of Starscream from the same series, a smaller yet more advanced version of the original toy, adding more articulation and reducing the amount of part-forming required. He was available only in a two-pack with Thundercracker, which also came with a Decepticon sigil pin and chromed missile pods. This set was the very last product released in the Robot Masters line, and wasn't even strictly sold in a box from that series; instead, it used an e-Hobby Generation 1 reissue box, with a small Robot Masters sticker in the corner tab noting its origin from the front.

Classics
* Ultra Magnus vs Skywarp: Battle For Autobot City (Multi-pack, 2006)

: Classics Skywarp is a slight retool of the Classics Starscream mold, transforming into an F-15 Eagle fighter jet, though with a canopy like that of an F-14 Tomcat. He comes with a pair of spring-loaded missile launchers that can be mounted on his biceps or used as hand-held weapons in robot mode and attach under his wings in vehicle mode. As with most Classics toys, he also features a heat-sensitive rubsign.

: Skywarp was retooled from the earlier Starscream figures. The retool is present in the jet intake area. The slope of his shoulders was decreased from Starscream, and a rectangle added to the vertical area, making the number now five instead of four. This retooled version was used for the Classics Ramjet, Thundercracker, Thrust, and Dirge. At the end of Classics Starscream's production run he too used this version of the mold.

: He was only available as part of a Target stores exclusive two-pack with Ultra Magnus. The set's price was $19.99, despite including both a Voyager-class and Deluxe-class mold in it, which for regular separate releases would be approximately $30 worth of toys. He was also available in Woolworth stores throughout the United Kingdom.

Masterpiece
* MP-06 Masterpiece Skywarp (2007)

: Masterpiece Skywarp was released in Japan in September of 2007. It is a redeco of the Masterpiece Starscream mold in black, gray, silver, and purple, though the purple and silver are more minimal than usual. It is able to switch between a minimally retooled stoic face and a new snarly face, retooled from Starscream's previous smirk. The tiny Doctor Arkeville is also included, as well as a clasp for jet mode Skywarp to hold the gun mode Megatron that came with Masterpiece Convoy.

: The sticker sheet includes Skywarp-esque stripes, as well as several whimsical squadron markings.
Heroes of Cybertron
* Skywarp (2002)
: Recolor of the Japanese SCF Skywarp figure. Non-transforming, true to the animation model. Distinctive from the Japanese release with its glossy paint, "light-up" eyes, and slightly different paint details. The Japanese version was a Lucky Draw figure limited to 200 pieces, it was one of the two prizes, the other being a mostly clear reissue Starscream (not to be confused with Ghost Starscream reissue) from the original run of the Transformers: Generations book.

* Skywarp (2003)

: Above, but part of a six-pack of figures which also included Starscream, Thundercracker, and three Clones from the OTFCC 2003 convention set. It featured a more metallic paint job from the normal release and slightly different paint details.

Legends of Cybertron
* Skywarp (2004 - Unreleased)

: A recolor of Mega Super Figure Collection G1 Starscream (minus the extra coronation accessories, open palm fists, and the hand weilding Megatron in gun mode), Skywarp was to be among the first of fan club exclusives offered by OTFCC as well as the first in their Legends of Cybertron line. The figure was delayed, and never saw a full release due to 3H Enterprises loosing the license to run the offical Transformers fan club. At least a couple sample versions were produced.

Robot Heroes
* Skywarp (2007)

: Skywarp is one of the five exculsive figures in Wal-Mart's "Decepticon Sneak Attack" set. He's a black and purple redeco of Starscream, yes. His left hand's for pushing you down stairs, his right fist's for pumping the air in victory. Sweet, sweet stair-based victory.

Trivia
* A commercial for Transformers reflective iron-on patches advertised the "Prizes in Disguise" competition. When the iron-on patch was used, it was possible to instead find an instant win ticket for a Transformers voice changer (of the Enemy variety) - or to have a party with "life size" Transformers! Among the "life size" Transformers shown were Jazz and Skywarp. In all likeliness, you did not party with them.

* In a possible fit of madness, a triple changer was proposed that would switch between Skywarp (possibly mistaken for Starscream), Megatron, and Skywarp's jet mode.

* Character bios written by unknown persons for the Austrailian (Madman) DVD release of Transformers: The Movie definitely claim that Skywarp became Cyclonus. Basically nobody considers that weighty "evidence".
