Cliffjumper
:Cliffjumper is an Autobot from the Transformers: Prime continuity family.

Cliffjumper isn't your run-of-the-mill Autobot freedom fighter: armed with six-cylinder ion cannons, a quantum sensitive multiphase targeting system that would make Megatron jealous, and of course, the old school technique of pummeling Decepticons with his fists, Cliffjumper prefers to liven up the day with firefights while retrieving enemy intelligence.

Fiction
Exodus: The Official History of the War for Cybertron
Cliffjumper concurred with Ironhide that while Sentinel Prime was not an Autobot, he deserved to be rescued. He and Ultra Magnus's Wreckers later escorted Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Jetfire to the Well of All Sparks when they made their journey to purge Cybertron's core of Dark Energon.

Prime comics
Regardless, when the Decepticons returned to their dead homeworld, Cliffjumper went in all guns blazing to investigate. The Eradicons piled onto him, grappling him until he was unconscious. He awoke to find himself in their base, which Cliffjumper commented looked like the sort of lair Starscream would design. An Eradicon said Cliffjumper would live until he was no longer useful, and asked him to decode an offworld Autobot signal. It came from none other than Optimus himself, ordering his forces to gather on a planet called Earth. Awed, Cliffjumper then turned to his interrogator and said all the decoded message simply said "Megatron smells like Unicron's armpit", making the infuriated Decepticons ordered Cliffjumper's demise, before Arcee burst in, slaughtering the Decepticons.

Cliffjumper tried to greet his old colleague, but she told him to be quiet, coldy informing him she had not come to rescue him, but to tap into the Decepticons' communications. Finding the coordinates of the enemy's weapons lab in Kaon, she was prepared to go by herself until Cliffjumper convinced her that Kaon was too dangerous for her stealthy ways, and that she needed his brawn to back her brain. Entering the city through its maintenance tunnels, Arcee opened a secret passage. Travelling up an ancient staircase, Cliffjumper's suspicions were confirmed when he saw Starscream overseeing the reactivation of a space bridge. Arcee wanted to destroy the device, but Cliffjumper saw it as their ticket to Earth. He distracted Starscream by going straight to him and his Eradicons, claiming he wanted to join them. Arcee activated the device, and when Starscream noticed, Cliffjumper jumped his pretense and started a fight, and jumped with Arcee into the space bridge.

Falling, Cliffjumper momentarily wondered if he was one with the AllSpark, but Arcee confirmed they had fallen onto Earth. Finding a ghost town, they scanned their alternate modes: Cliffjumper passed on a passing travel trailer—which he found too ugly—and a truck—which was too bulky—before selecting a muscle car, which found Arcee found suitably noisy. He added horns on the hood of his new alternate mode as a finishing touch. Driving to find Optimus, Starscream—who had also jumped into the space bridge—attacked the duo, blasting off Arcee's arm. Cliffjumper fought Starscream and buried him under a pile of rocks, when Breakdown appeared. It seemed like the end, but Optimus and Bumblebee came and fought off the two Decepticons, before opening a ground bridge to their base, sending Arcee for repairs. Optimus told Cliffjumper his journey was over, but a new battle was just beginning. Transformers: Prime (comic)
Following the unleashing of Omega Supreme, Cliffjumper spotted a party of Decepticons preparing to assault the giant. He attempted to slow their advance with force fields and gun turrets, and when that didn't work, led them on a high-speed chase while trying to shoot them. They eventually caught up with him when he crashed into a wall and, though his spirit was still defiant, he was unable to stop them passing him. Of course, they immediately ran into Jetfire... Transformers: War for Cybertron (DS)

: Legends Bumblebee transforms into a yellow 1976 Chevrolet Camaro. Being a highly simplified toy of a highly complex design, Legends-class Bumblebee does not replicate the appearance of the robot mode very well, and has very limited articulation, detail and paint application. On the other hand, he's pocket-sized and inexpensive, perfect for the younger set. The toy has a sculpted rear window, but it's not painted like the other windows. instead, the racing stripes extend over them.
*Bumblebee (Deluxe Class Classic Camaro, 2007)
**Japanese ID number: MA-03
**Accessories: 2 projectiles

: The first Deluxe Class version of Movie Bumblebee transforms into a yellow 1976 Chevrolet Camaro with a quite reasonable level of sculpted detail. In contrast to the other Deluxe-class car Transformers in the Movie toyline, he does not have clear windows, instead opting for opaque yellow plastic with painted metallic blue.

: Bumblebee is armed with two shoulder-mounted spring-loaded missile launchers (inspired by the shoulder-mounted missile launchers he uses to fight Brawl/Devastator in the movie), which also double as hand-held weapons or can be mounted on ports on the undersides of his elbows. His legs and chest Automorph during transformation.

: The initial release of the toy featured even tabs for the Automorph gimmick; oddly, Hasbro later decided to retool the feature so the tab would be uneven. This resulted in many reported cases of the tab snapping during transformation. Press the button or you'll break him. Seriously. The retooled Automorph gimmick would be used for all subsequent versions of the mold, including the Japanese ones, and the breakage problem wouldn't be fixed until the UK exclusive "Towed to Safety" two-pack and the Target exclusive "Evolution of a Hero" two-pack.

: Packaging photos and early test shots of Hasbro's Bumblebee featured transparent blue plastic windows and missile parts. However, the final Hasbro production toy has opaque yellow plastic. The Japanese TakaraTomy release of Bumblebee retains the transparent blue plastic parts, with yellow paint for the outer car shell. As a consequence, the missiles, which are on the same sprue, are also made of clear blue plastic, just like the early prototype seen in the Hasbro stock photos for the toy. He also uses the retooled version of the mold with the fixed Automorph gimmick.

The packaging used for the Japanese toy is the same as for the Hasbro version, with the exception of additional stickers identifying it as a Japanese market release.

*Bumblebee vs. Barricade: First Encounter
**Accessories: 2 projectiles

: This battle pack contains the 1976 Camaro deluxe-class Bumblebee and the deluxe-class Barricade/Frenzy figures, based upon their confrontation as seen in the movie. The box features a diorama-style background from a movie scene, but the toys themselves are unchanged from their original carded releases.

: The set originally retailed for only slightly less than buying the two individual toys. However, for a short while, it was about the only way to get Bumblebee in the first place, thanks to the toy drought following the movie's record-smashing opening.

*Bumblebee Limited Metallic Color Version (Lawson exclusive Deluxe-sized Classic Camaro, TakaraTomy 2007)
**Accessories: 2 projectiles

: A redeco of the Japanese version of the Classic Camaro Bumblebee mold (retaining the clear blue windows and missiles) that was exclusively available with the purchase of a ticket for the movie in Japanese Lawson stores.

*Towed to Safety (two-pack, UK 2007)
**Accessories: 2 projectiles

: This set features an unaltered Deluxe class Longarm figure and a Deluxe class 1976 Camaro Bumblebee figure. The window box features a diorama background of the battle in Mission City (basically the same packaging inner tray from the "Bumblebee vs. Barricade: First Encounter" pack). As is generally the case with the European releases of the Movie toys, the pictures on the front of the box show the robot-mode toys instead of an artist's depiction of their faces.

: For this two-pack, Hasbro slightly retooled Bumblebee's Automorph gimmick again, adding another small tab that finally resolved the breakage issues that had plagued the previous variation of the mold.

:Thus far, this pack has only been released in the United Kingdom.

*Bumblebee (Camaro Concept) (Deluxe Class Concept Camaro, 2007)
**Japanese ID number: MA-10
**Accessories: Plasma cannon

: The second Deluxe class Bumblebee toy, which shares no parts with the previous one (even the head, despite being based on the same general design, is a different sculpt), transforms into the concept vehicle for the 2009 Chevrolet Camaro. Maintaining the high standard for car accuracy in the movie line, Bumblebee is very faithful to the real-life vehicle, featuring clear blue windows in contrast to the opaque windows seen in both his previous Deluxe class toy and the Ultimate Bumblebee toy.

: Bumblebee features two Automorphing gimmicks during transformation: (a) swinging his hood down into robot mode position also moves his arms up and (b), swinging his feet down will move the rear fenders up and behind his calves, as well as swinging the rear windows to his inner calves in a spring-loaded action. Unusually, this version of Bumblebee is much more accurate to the CGI design than either the older-model Deluxe OR the Ultimate figure, with the chest properly articulating in a fairly Movie-accurate manner. He's also slightly taller than most of the other Deluxe Class figures.

: Bumblebee features a superb range of articulation, with ball joints in his shoulders, neck, torso, wrists and upper legs, with ratcheting and swivels making up the remaining joints. Instead of the rather inaccurate missile launchers from the 1976 Camaro toy, '09 Bumblebee comes with a mostly accurate version of his plasma cannon as it appears in the movie, but for added play value, it can Automorph into an energy blade by opening up the halves of the gun barrel and swinging them back. The cannon can be held in either of his hands.

: Care should be taken when removing the cannon from Bumblebee's hands, as excessive force can damage the wrist ball joint socket.

: Contrary to popular opinion, the yellow pieces on the back of Bumblebee's feet are not supposed to be heel spurs, nor have they been mis-assembled. They are supposed to fold up to emulate the detail found on the CGI design.

: A running change version of this mold adds tabs to the hip panels, which makes the vehicle mode hold together better, as well as sculpted pupils inside Bumblebee's eyes. Initially this was believed to be a variant for the Japanese market; however, later shipments of the Hasbro toy featured those changes as well, as did all subsequent versions of the mold.

: This mold was also used to make "Allspark Power" Cliffjumper.

*Evolution of a Hero (Target exclusive two-pack, 2007)
**Accessories: 2 projectiles, Plasma cannon

: A Target exclusive, this figure multi-pack contains an unchanged Deluxe-class 1976 Bumblebee and an exclusive "battle damaged" 2009 Camaro Concept Bumblebee. Even though the 2009 figure is supposed to represent Bumblebee's damaged state as he appeared during the final battle in the movie, oddly enough the "damage" paint decos do not appear to extend to his legs, restricting themselves to his upper torso and car roof/door parts. Maybe they didn't bother because they thought you'd take them off like in the movie. Go figure.

:The Classic Camaro Bumblebee toy included in this package features the same "fixed" Automorph gimmick also found on the version included in the UK exclusive "Towed to Safety" two-pack. In addition, the Automorph button on the hood finally sports the painted pinstripes that had been missing on all previous releases of the mold.

: This Screen Battles pack comes a redecoed Camaro Concept Deluxe-class Bumblebee featuring a more accurate gray color scheme for his robot mode parts and a silver-painted face, Autobot symbol and toes. Additionally, a new red Autobot symbol is placed on his forehead, while his translucent parts are now a greener blue. The pack also comes with non-posable figurines of Sector Seven agent Seymour Simmons and two Sector Seven soldiers; one carrying a cryo-freezing cannon and one carrying a grenade launcher.

: This set comes in a special window box featuring a diorama background of the scene in which Bumblebee is captured by Sector Seven forces.

:According to details listed in an official checklist on Hasbro's websitefact, this pack was originally supposed to feature "ice soldiers" (plural), in addition to an "S7 agent" and an "S7 soldier". Apparently budget ultimately only allowed for one. The grenade launcher-wielding S7 soldier also looks conspicuously like Captain Lennox colored as a Sector Seven soldier (it's possible that the figure had originally been intended for the Screen Battles "Desert Attack" pack with Scorponok).
**Accessories: Plasma cannon

: Stealth Bumblebee is an extensive redeco and minor retool of the Deluxe class 2009 Camaro Bumblebee toy. The redeco itself is unusual in that the yellow parts are still cast in yellow plastic, but painted black. Other color differences include changing the robot mode body parts from black to gray and adding bright blue AllSpark Power decos.

:The head has also been retooled to reflect Bumblebee's 'battle mask' as seen in the Movie. The "mask" does not flip up to reveal his head. Bummer.
:A Walmart exclusive three pack, The Legacy of Bumblebee collector's set comes with Classics, Movie Deluxe Concept Camaro (Premium Series) and Animated Bumblebee figures. While the Movie and Animated Bumblebees are identical to their original, single carded releases, the Classics Bumblebee has been redecoed to more closely resemble his Movie and Animated counterparts, changing his white stripes to black, and his grey/silver plastic to yellow, similarly to Henkei! **Japanese ID number: SB-02

: This Screen Battles pack comes with an altered Longarm toy and a posable, non-transforming, battle-damaged Bumblebee figure very similar to the Robot Replicas toy, yet surprisingly utilizing none of the same parts despite being on an identical scale. This set comes in a special window box featuring a diorama background of the battle in Mission City.

:Although entirely comprised of original sculpting, such as the gimpy leg-stumps, the Bumblebee figure oddly does not feature the character's distinctive car door "wings" on his back. However, keen customisers can easily rectify this by slicing the "Robot Replicas" version's wings off and whittling their connecting plastic into simple posts that very handily plug into large holes in the tires on Final Stand 'Bee's back. In fact, these holes almost seem designed to accommodate a missing part. (Considering how all the other Screen Battles sets were apparently originally intended to feature more, or at least more elaborate, accessory figures based on their entries in an official checklist on Hasbro's websitefact, this seems indeed very plausible.)

Ultimate
*Ultimate Bumblebee (Ultimate, 2007)
**Accessories:

: Similar in appearance to the second Deluxe-class Bumblebee toy, albeit much larger and more complex, the 'Ultimate' version of Bumblebee also transforms into the 2009 concept Camaro. The toy features animatronic movement in robot mode (flapping wings, moving arms and a rotating head) and light-up eyes and headlights, activated by the movement or sounds made by the person playing with the toy, or by pressing his buttons, which also activate an obscene number of interactive electronic sound effects. Oddly enough, despite being mute for most of the movie, Bumblebee has a wide range of phrases (Which don't even sound like him). His chest button yields various phrases and a new version of the Transformers theme tune, while a button on his side produces blaster noises, more speech, and musical samples, including four different ones from Devo's "Whip It." This button also causes the toy to raise its cannon-arm and automatically fire a missile. Playing with the toy by moving it will make him repeat various phrases and samples activated by other features, as well as crashing battle noises, but when he is left idle, more unique phrases will be uttered inquiring where everyone has gone, as well as radio snippets to the same effect, before the toy eventually deactivates. Pressing any button will bring him back online with a cheerful shout.

: Transforming the toy between modes is accompanied by the classic transformation noise, and if left unattended between modes, it will make stalling engine noises, car horn and a car alarm sounds. Once in car mode, new electronics are unlocked, beginning with the sound of an engine starting up. The chest button now activates the car's horn, and rolling the figure along will create an accelerating noise that increases the faster the toy is moved. More unique musical snippets will play as the car rolls along; when the rolling stops, brake lights activate and the tires screech. Yet more sounds are produced when Bumblebee is rolled backwards, and the car mode also features different crashing battle noises to the robot mode.

: All of the toy's features can be turned off by a switch, and it has an additional "Try Me" mode which allows you to hear various sounds from the toy's various functions just by pressing the chest button.

: The toy is mistransformed in the package, and all promo photos of the figure made the same mistake, presenting the car hood as a solid block resting on Bumblebee's chest. In reality, it splits up into five separate pieces to fold and collapse into a more movie-like appearance.

: In the holiday season, Wal-Mart carried an exclusive "Bonus Buy" version of the toy, which had the Deluxe Brawl and Scorponok toys added as freebies. Costco also carried an exclusive version, with the 3" Titanium Series version of Bumblebee packed in. However, it did not include the display stand.
:Fast Action Battlers Bumblebee transforms from concept Camaro to robot with a considerably simpler transformation than the standard deluxe toy, intended for the slightly younger set. His main "gimmick" is a spring-loaded missile launcher in his right arm. As is also the case with Ultimate Bumblebee, the toy is mistransformed in the package, and all promo photos of the figure make the same mistake, presenting the car hood as a solid block. In reality, the chest/bumper consists of two rotating pieces which can pivot down so as to more accurately emulate the appearance in the movie.

:A repaint of Plasma Punch Bumblebee. It transforms from concept Camaro to robot with a simple transformation. The right arm is a spring loaded missile launcher. As is also the case with the original Fast Action Battlers Bumblebee, the hood is presented as a solid brick.
*Bumblebee (Concept Camaro Cyber Slammer, 2007)

:The second Cyber Slammers Bumblebee figure toy transforms into a Concept Camaro and shares no parts with the previous Cyber Slammers Bumblebee figure. Like all Cyber Slammers, the toy features motorized action. When you push down on the car, it zooms forward, then pops up into robot mode! Sure to please the toddler you brought with you to the PG-13 movie. Like most Cyber Slammers, Bumblebee manages to cram most of his vehicle mode's major details into a compact, super-deformed version of that mode.

: This toy was later redecoed into Cliffjumper.

*Bumblebee (2008)
**Japanese ID number: TS-02
**Accessories: Display stand

: Trans-scanning Bumblebee is a Japanese-exclusive figure with many interchangeable parts. At its most basic, the figure is a spindly skeleton referred to as a "Core Body". To this skeleton, two sets of armor pieces can be attached to create one of two forms for Bumblebee: his protoform mode or his Earth mode.

: The protoform mode consists of eight pieces of golden plastic that plug into the arms, chest, pelvis and legs of the figure. With these pieces attached, the figure can be manipulated in a manner that might charitably be called "transformation" into his meteor-like "entry mode," accomplished by doing little more than tucking the head out of sight and folding the chest back. This golden-and-grey lump can be mounted on a three-piece stand that comes with the figure, allowing you to display it in mid-plummet. Bumblebee's Earth mode, meanwhile, is made up of nineteen armor pieces (including a particularly large backpack) that form a rather kibbly robot mode, which can then transform into a Camaro Concept.

: Bumblebee also includes a pair of interchangeable, open-palmed hands that can be swapped out for the clenched fists that are in place in-package. The Core Body mold was re-used for the simultaneously released Trans-Scanning Optimus Prime figure.

: Cyber Stompin' Robots Bee is a large electronic action figure, featuring a rather cutified design. He's got electronic lights and sounds up the whazzoo and fires missiles and a fist. He totally plays the original theme song.

: Later in the year, Wal-Mart stores sold this toy as a "Bonus Buy" item, which came with a free Cyber Slammer Barricade attached to the box back.

Robot Replicas
*Bumblebee (Robot Replicas, 2007)

: As part of the Robot Replicas sub-line, this version of concept-Camaro Bumblebee is a non-transforming action figure that hews very close to the movie's CGI model. It features joints similar to the Revoltech toys, plus his right forearm can be replaced with his blaster-arm (or any other arm attachments from other Robot Replicas, which could lead to some fun Frankensteins). For some reason, he's closer to orange than his normal yellow.
More than just a car styled after the Movie character, the car also transforms to robot mode. The top of the gun-shaped IR remote's barrel serves as a display stand. The tip of the gun barrel can also be unscrewed, revealing a pen (!) inside.

:Released as part of the preview series of figures for Revenge of the Fallen's toyline alongside Soundwave, Bumblebee is a retool of the Camaro Concept Bumblebee mold, feature a new vehicle front end, hood and wheels to reflect the changes to the prop vehicle used in the movie; and in robot mode has a new, more accurate headsculpt. His right arm has been retooled to accommodate a built-in spring-loaded plasma cannon, replacing the converting plasma cannon/blade weapon from the previous version of this mold. Don't look at his eyes for too long, you'll have nightmares.

:Strangely, the missile for his right arm is slightly too long for the slot in the arm itself, so it either has to be slightly cut down to fit or the cannon must be swiveled outwards to accommodate the missile. (This has been fixed in later releases, such as the European market). Also, instead of having movie accurate gray colored "toe" sections on his feet like the later 2007 figures, his toes are painted yellow ...on top of yellow plastic. Oookay...

:This extensive retool of Bumblebee changes the entire upper half of the robot mode, and thus half of the car, to newly designed parts, including more articulated arms with open palms, less obstructive vehicle kibble, a differently transforming chest, and two flip-out (non-firing) missile launcher racks behind his head. Only the legs remain unaltered from the original version of the mold. Interestingly, his arms can be detached and easily popped onto the original mold, resulting in a more show-accurate robot mode, though this sacrifices transformation. This extensive retooling results in a car interior with seats and a crude dashboard, but the windows are so opaque that these new details can't easily be seen. A variant with clear blue windows was released in later shipments.

:His "heels" are assembled backwards, which keeps them from being folded up against the back of the shins. Disappointingly, his chest cannot deform like the previous releases of this mold (or his Fast Action Battler, which still has a deforming chest).
*Bumblebee / Sam Witwicky (Human Alliance, 2009)
**Japanese ID number: RA-21
**Accessories: 2 Missiles

:Human Alliance Bumblebee comes with a posable figure of Sam Witwicky that can fit inside in Bumblebee's vehicle mode (plugging into his seat via a small hole in his back) and drive him. In robot mode, Bumblebee's vehicle-mode seats end up on his arms, and Sam can sit in either of them; the seat on Bumblebee's right has a headrest that can fold down to look slightly less conspicuous in robot mode, while the seat on Bumblebee's left arm features a pair of cannons which flip over Sam's shoulders, offering him some offensive hardware to protect his rather precarious position. Sam can also stand on a platform that flips out from the small of Bumblebee's back (again, via peg-holes on his feet), manning a small non-firing cannon that flips out over Bumblebee's right shoulder. Finally, Bumblebee's left palm also contains a peg, meaning Sam can securely stand or sit in his big buddy's hand. Bumblebee himself features a spring-loaded cannon for his left arm, which can fire the two missiles the figure comes with, a flip-out double-barreled silver cannon that points over his head, and a functional flip-down battle mask. Much like the rest of his Human Alliance brethren, Bumblebee is roughly the same size as an Alternators toy, being slightly taller than Alternators Mirage in robot mode.

:There is a significant misassembly issue with Bumblebee: according to TakaraTomy's images of the resin prototype as well as Bumblebee's CG design, the retail toy's legs are on the wrong sides of his body, so the details on his legs are inverted. Since the instructions reflect this assembly, it's possible that this was done on purpose because with the toy in its originally intended assembly, the waist section could be rather difficult to transform for children. The toy's originally intended assembly can still be easily achieved by disassembling his crotch and reassembling the legs backwards. Once this is complete, Bumblebee will look the way he was intended to look, while adding some minor extra steps during transformation.
:Revenge of the Fallen's Ultimate Bumblebee is a retool of the 2007 version, with new rims, hood, front fenders. He also features a new, more accurate head sculpt with a battle mask. This time, his sound chip plays Stan Bush's "The Touch".
:Plonk him down. Lift him up. Plonk him down. Lift him up. This addictive toy transforms automatically when stood up (vehicle to robot), or placed on his back (robot to vehicle). A switch underneath his feet or his car mode releases the transformation -- so the toy can be played with in relatively stable modes if held in the air, or just rolling along the ground.

:Because gravity is the powering force in the transformation there's no motors to wear out or batteries to use up when playing with the toy. Which is good, because you will be transforming him no less than nine million times.

:Bumblebee features dumpy proportions and low movie accuracy (no door wings here), forced upon the toy to accommodate the Gravity Bots transformation gimmick. His robot mode has no articulation, not even head. But at least he has big feet! Or legs... or whatever the heck they are. Stump? At least he has a big stump.
Replacement image

:This entirely new Deluxe class Bumblebee features a much more accurate sculpt in robot mode compared to previous versions of Deluxe class Camaro Concept Bumblebee, with the transformation scheme taking many cues from Revenge of the Fallen Human Alliance Bumblebee, scaled down to Deluxe size, while using an Automorph design for the leg transformation directly based on the original Deluxe Class Concept Camaro Bumblebee. Despite the very similar looks, Battle Blade Bumblebee uses no parts from previous toys, everything about him is an entirely new sculpt.

:His right hand can be switched out for his cannon by opening the arm guard, flipping out the cannon barrel, folding away the right hand and folding the cannon over to the wrist. Due to how the parts were distributed on the plastic sprues during production, the cannon barrel is yellow rather than grey. The left arm-guard has a flip-out axe made of blue plastic, representing the axe weapon Bumblebee uses in the Revenge of the Fallen video games, which itself is possibly based upon the electrical stinger that was once considered as a melee weapon for Bumblebee in the first movie. The axe is spring-loaded, activated by a button on his arm-guard. This version of Movie Bumblebee also features a flip-down battle mask, very similar to Human Alliance Bumblebee. In other words, pure premium awesome-sauce.

:Stock photos show that the axe was originally made in such a way that the blade was mounted on a rod and could be rotated downwards, but this was changed entirely for unknown reasons (possibly fragility).

:The Japanese Autobot Alliance release features marginally darker yellow plastic and paint.
Like the aforementioned product, Beatmix Bumblebee reacts to the music being played (outputted via a speaker within him). With a touch, he can also sample the owner's music tracks and replay them with sound effects from the movie. His arms are posable, but Bumblebee cannot transform.
Laser blaster mode features laser pulse sounds and a "laser flare beam" (lights), while the plasma cannon mode has "plasma pulse lights" and explosion sounds.

*Parts: Antennas(l+r), Side pieces (l+r), Helmet top, Adjustable straps (pre-installed), Battery cover (pre-installed), Switch retainer (red!), AAA batteries (3), Helmet.
:The Bumblebee voice changer helmet, much like the Optimus Prime helmet from 2007, is a detailed helmet designed to... uhh... change your voice. Oh! And to make your head look like a highly detailed, and movie accurate replicate of Bumblebee. The helmet is nearly fully enclosed around the head, unlike the Prime helmet, and is adjustable so it can be sized to fit adults and children. The helmet is really, really yellow.

:The helmet features three different buttons, the voice mixer, battle phrases and conversion sounds buttons.

:The voice mixer button makes the helmet modulate your voice and play wicked beats at the same time so you can get down with your bad self. The battle phrases are meant to sound like random radio mixing, but really sound like a couple of guys in a studio yelling at a microphone with silly voices. Enjoy fun phrases like, "You are no match for my new kung fu!" in a delightfully bad Chop Socky voice! However, there are at least a few radio voice clips from the actual movie. The conversion sounds button plays the transforming sound, or if you hold the button down plays the transforming sound as if it were being remixed live by a DJ on a turntable. Okay, y'know... like with a baby scratch or a backwards loop or something.

:The helmet has three play modes. There's demo, on and the parents' favourite, off. The helmet comes packaged in the demo mode with a switch retainer to keep it there. You'll need to take that sucker off to put him in the all important on mode. But don't throw it out! It's a really pretty red.

:In order to avoid language barriers, the European version doesn't play battle phrases. However, later releases did feature voiceclips.
*Bumblebee Plasma Cannon (2009)
: The Plasma Cannon is a stylized version of Bumblebee's fist that converts to a plasma cannon roleplay toy when the barrel is slid forward or the trigger is pulled. When fired, a ring of red lights around the barrel flashes (totally awesome). If the trigger is only pulled half-way, a "charging" sound is made. There is also an Autobot sigil on the side that, when pressed, causes sound effects to be heard. These include conversion noises, a revving engine, and clips from Stan Bush's "The Touch" (also awesome, but only in the "Try Me" setting, which is not quite as awesome).

* A weapon considered for Bumblebee was a pair of arm-mounted electrical "stingers". The Bumblebee Camaro '09 toy's blade weapon might have been influenced by this early concept.
*Stock photos of the Revenge of the Fallen Legends-class Bumblebee toy show it in a much brighter shade of yellow plastic than it was released as. The reason for this change is unknown.

:The null-ray is a weapon from the Generation 1 continuity family

One of the signature weapons of Starscream and the Seekers, the null-ray is capable of stopping any electrical device with one shot, be it human or Transformer.

Except Megatron. All a blast from the null-ray does is make him angry. It doesn't work on the Dinobots either, but they were already pissed at Screamer and the jets.

Fiction
Generation 1 cartoon
Shortly after arriving at the oil platform with his fellow Decepticons, Starscream is ordered to fire his null-ray at some equipment, causing the machinery to freeze and cease from working. More than Meets the Eye, Part 1 After causing a tidal wave at Sherman Dam, Megatron ordered Starscream to shoot three of the generators with blasts from the null-ray as part of their efforts to make Energon cubes. Why they would need the generators to stop working is beyond our understanding, but Megatron's schemes always have layers within them, and are far too complex for simple flesh creatures to understand. More than Meets the Eye, Part 2

After being discovered by Bumblebee, Starscream shot him with the null-ray, allowing the Decepticons to modify his memory circuits to lead the Autobots into a trap. Transport to Oblivion

Later, when Megatron had the power chip rectifiers of the Decepticons installed in him before his battle with Optimus Prime, Starscream lamented that he could no longer use the null-ray or his cluster bombs. A threat of termination from Megatron shut him up. Heavy Metal War

Determined not to be replaced by the human-built Nightbird, Starscream used his null-ray to fritz her circuits. Naturally, Megatron wasn't too happy about the loss of his new female "companion" and immediately labeled Starscream a traitor. Again. Enter the Nightbird

When Starscream partnered up with the (more than usually) paranoid Red Alert, Starscream fired his null-ray at Red Alert, causing his unstable logic circuits to stabilize. Auto Berserk

Later, Starscream was shown firing the null-ray from his nose while in vehicle mode. Megatron's Master Plan, Part 1. Later still, he was shown firing it through his finger. Megatron's Master Plan, Part 2

Starscream last used his null-ray at his own coronation as leader of the Decepticons. During the coronation, the Constructicons played trumpets, but Starscream, eager to get on with the ceremony, used the null-ray to slice the instruments in half. The Transformers: The Movie

In 2005, Marissa Faireborn had a hand-held blaster which fired null-rays. Whether this was reverse engineered from a captured Seeker, developed with the help of the Autobots, or was acquired by some sort of convoluted plan of Starscream's to replace Megatron, is unknown. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 4

Transformers Armada
When Armada Starscream finally got his Mini-Con partner, Swindle, he gained a new attack called the "Null Laser Cannon". It didn't disable electrical stuff, but created a big explosion instead.Jungle

Transformers Armada PS2 game
In this incarnation it slices mountains in half instead of its usual effect.
It most likely does the same to Autobots, but Starscream was bashed offline by Optimus Prime before he could test that theory.

Transformers Cybertron
Starscream has two swiveling, very powerful laser cannons at his waist. He has two more that are stationary, one on each of his forward wingtips. He calls these Null Cannons. Again, they act like very powerful blasters. When he supersized, he replaced his broken Cyber Key-activated sword with a massive wide-bore null cannon. Fallen (episode)

Transformers Animated
This Starscream also packs null-rays as his main weapon, but these also just work like a very powerful blaster. Their destructive effect on Earth-made buildings is impressive, if not as intense as Armada Starscream's, and a sustained blast of around 12 seconds was enough to render all five Earth-bound Autobots unconscious—for a few seconds. Hmm. Then later a direct blast fully disabled Ultra Magnus for several minutes (well, to be fair, Magnus took a point-blank shot right in the kisser). Mission Accomplished

Revenge of the Fallen
Starscream designed his null-ray himself. It is a weapon feared for its ability to deactivate electrical systems.

War for Cybertron
In Transformers: War for Cybertron, the null ray is a sniping weapon. In the Xbox 360 exclusive demo, one can choose to start the match with a null ray if the character is a scout. Starscream can use the weapon in campaign. Rather than being mounted on the upper arm, it folds out of the forearm like all other weapons in War for Cybertron.

Trivia
*At least once Starscream's null-ray appeared to cause freezing. This could be a mere error. fact

*Clearly, Starscream never bothered to patent the null-ray. Bad enough a G.I. Joe agent's daughter used them, but so did Generation 1 Whirl.

*Due to the Armada cartoon's frequent translation and dubbing errors, Starscream's "Null Laser Cannon" was randomly referred to as the "Narrow Laser Cannon" (despite the visually obvious fact that the laser blast was anything but narrow).

The term exclusive is most often used in reference to a toy (or other item) that was only available at a specific store or venue rather that at standard retail in normal assortments.

While occasionally these are simply already-released toys in new packaging (often as multi-packs at a reduced price), most often they are redecoes. Very rarely, a toy developed for a defunct line will find itself released as an exclusive to a particular retailer, so the company can make back at least some of the development costs that went into it.

As a rule, new molds are not created for the purpose of being exclusives, because the very high costs of creating the steel tooling elements cannot be recouped with a low production run through a limited venue. Of course, all rules have exceptions, and in this case there is exactly one: Chevrolet/General Motors had the financial resources sufficient to convince Hasbro to produce an entirely new and unique very limited-edition Transformer just for them.

Store exclusives
Though store exclusives in Transformers date back as far as 1989's Kmart-only releases of the "Legends" Bumblebee, Grimlock, Jazz and Starscream, the practice saw little use in the US until KB Toys stores got its own exclusive mini-line Machine Wars in 1997. Store exclusives tied in directly to the main retail line, however, remained minimal in the following years, with Beast Wars and Beast Machines getting one or two.

The success of the Robots in Disguise series caused a boom for the franchise, resulting in the "big four" chains (Walmart, Toys"R"Us, Target, and KB Toys) each getting their own Transformers available only at their stores. Since then, store-exclusives have persisted and increased in number, though with the creation of the Universe series, most have fallen under that line, even well after the Universe line disappeared from standard retail, and even with toys whose backstories place them quite explicitly in other continuities. To this day, multiple store exclusives are released each year in the US, reaching another peak with the 2007 Movie toy line that featured a plethora of store exclusive redecos and multi-packs.

In Japan, short-run exclusives are fairly common (or, used to be). There are (or, were) multiple outlets for exclusives; in addition to the occasional "normal" store exclusive redeco, the Takara-affiliated e-Hobby online store put up exclusive redecos
for most larger toys, though other online services got some as well. Most "USA Editions" and other toys released by Hasbro in the USA (usually as mass retail releases), but which Takara don't want to sell as general retail releases in Japan, are also exclusively available either through online retailers (such as e-Hobby) or through Japanese brick-and-mortar stores such as Toys"R"Us. Many brick-and-mortar stores also frequently receive very short-run smaller exclusives (such as Mini-Cons) that are technically given away free, but only as a "bonus" to people who bought certain toys (or a certain amount of toys) at the stores on a certain date. Magazine mail-aways remain a popular outlet for exclusive redecos in Japan, though that practice has fallen out of favor in the US.

Convention & club exclusives
Convention exclusives have a more consistent history, starting back in 1994 with 1994's Generation 2 Breakdown, which had been slated for normal retail release with the rest of the team, but ultimately cancelled. The following year saw the first convention-exclusive toy redecoed specifically for the convention, Nightracer (albeit not to the original specifications).

From then on, each official Transformers convention has had at least one exclusive toy... in fact, as time has gone on, the scale of convention exclusives has only expanded, with multi-toy packs, larger molds, and even retooled items.

In 2005, Fun Publications expanded exclusives by producing toys available only to members of the Transformers Collectors' Club. While one each year is produced as a "free" incentive for signing up, in 2006 the first separately-purchased exclusive, Astrotrain, was produced based on fan-reaction to an unreleased retail exclusive. Several more club exclusives have been released since then, some of them based on cancelled redecos from defunct lines, while others sported decos specifically designed by Fun Publications.

Exclusives in other countries
While exclusives have a long history in the United States and Japan, they were rather uncommon in many other countries until recently. The biggest exception was Toys"R"Us, which carried the Commemorative Series line of reissues as an exclusive not only in the USA, but also in Canada and Australia. Beginning with the Movie line, Toys"R"Us also started to sell exclusives through many other of their international branches, starting with the "Decepticon Desert Attack" two-pack of Blackout and Scorponok, which was also available in several European countries. This makes Toys"R"Us exclusives the most consistent exclusive releases across the globe, with the major exception of their Japanese branch.

Other than that, it becomes more complicated: Toys that are only released as exclusives in the USA may very well be available as general releases or as exclusives to other stores in other countries (this mostly affects Target exclusives such as some of the Scout Class toys or the "Bumblebee: Evolution of a Hero" two-pack from the Movie line). In return, toys that are available as mass releases in the USA can also end up as exclusives in other countries: For example, in the United Kingdom, the Alternators were originally only available at Argos stores; and a non-Power variant of Nighwatch Optimus Prime was also released as an Argos exclusive.

In Australia, stores that commonly carry exclusives are Target (not related to the US chain except for the name and the logo), which became famous for offering an imported version of Takara's Masterpiece Ultra Magnus, Kmart (also not related to the US chain of the same name), BigW, Myer, Mr Toys Toyworld and Toys"R"Us, although most of these stores (except for Toys"R"Us) have only received a very small number of exclusives thus far. With the exception of Masterpiece Ultra Magnus, nearly all of these exclusives were also released by Hasbro in the USA, either as mass retail toys or as exclusives. For example, Alternators Rodimus and Nemesis Prime, both Hasbro Toy Shop/San Diego Comic-Con exclusives in the USA, were released as Toyworld exclusives in Australia.

Lastly, in recent years there has also been the occasional multi-pack that was released as a store exclusive in various countries, but was not released in the USA at all. For the 2007 Movie line, this was a two-pack of Voyager Class Optimus Prime and Delxue Class Bumblebee, released as an Argos exclusive in the UK and as a Kmart exclusive in Australia, and "Voyager y Unleashed" two-packs of Unleashed Bumblebee with either Voyager Class Blackout or Autobot Ratchet, exclusive to Sam's Club stores in Mexico; and for the Animated line, some European Toys"R"Us stores (in Germany and the UK, at least) got an exclusive Deluxe Class Autobot Ratchet/Bumblebee two-pack.

Why exclusives?
God hates you and doesn't want you to have toys.

Aside from that, exclusives for both stores and conventions are incentives to get interested buyers to the stores/shows to make other purchases. While you're here for that Transformer or Star Wars Clonetrooper set that can only be found at this store... hey, Dr Pepper is also four for ten bucks. And look, the new Venture Bros. DVD set is out. Need some paper towels? Tube socks?

For store exclusives, often the chain will request (or in the case of Wal*Mart, demand) an exclusive, perhaps even suggesting (or, again, demanding) a specific price point, should the line be proving popular. Sometimes, Hasbro or Takara may solicit items already in the works as exclusives to stores. Several toys that had been slated for normal retail release, but canceled in the Universe line, for example, were ultimately released as Target exclusives in 2006, and over the last several years, many other items planned for mass-retail were relegated to exclusive status when their standard retail assortments were cancelled, such as the Alternators versions of Rumble and (Jaguar) Ravage.

Convention/club exclusives are a bit different, and involve a lot more work done outside of Hasbro/Takara's offices. The convention organizers themselves write up proposals to the company, including the molds they would like to use, color arrangements, names, any new tools they wish to make, and such. These plans very often change depending on mold availability (sometimes molds are lost, or deteriorated, or are being used for other releases) or plans that Hasbro/Takara have in store for the future. In almost every instance, the convention-exclusive toys would not exist at all if the convention organizers did not request (and pay for) them.

The exclusives from 2006 and 2007 proved particularly controversial. Many fans complained about the difficulty and expense of acquiring these figures that were representations of very well-liked characters (i.e. Waspinator), characters that had played major roles in stories and never previously received toys (Alpha Trion), or characters traditionally envisioned as part of a "set" of which other members were easily available at standard retail (Thundercracker).

Passions were most intense about the exclusives representing the very popular and conspicuous Classics characters--especially after Hasbro revealed that, to their own surprise, sales had proven strong enough that the line would be revived in 2008, potentially leaving "holes" in some fans' collections.

However, the business decision of using popular characters as convention exclusives has been a sound one: Primus Package attendees contribute the bulk of revenue for the convention, and so turning the toys from "also-rans" into "must-haves" helps keep the show running and growing. It is the responsibility of each fan to determine how much they want to devote to their hobby, both in terms of the emotional devotion they have towards particular characters and collection styles, and financial devotion that they will invest to get what they have chosen to desire.
Galvatron and the Unicron-empowered Decepticons return to Cybertron, where Galvatron dispenses swift revenge upon Starscream as Starscream attempts to proclaim himself leader. As the other Decepticons see Starscream's ashen form crumble to the ground, they proclaim their loyalty to Galvatron.
Ultra Magnus and the Autobots, learning of the threat Unicron poses to Cybertron, leave Earth in a pair of shuttlecraft to attempt to help, but they are quickly intercepted by Galvatron and the Decepticons. Although they manage to escape, Kup, Hot Rod, and the Dinobots are separated from the others, and Ultra Magnus must sacrifice most of his ship to fool Galvatron into believing him destroyed.
Hot Rod, Kup and the Dinobots crash upon the surface of a strange alien world, where they are quickly captured by the Quintessons. After being thrown in a prison cell, they meet Kranix, the sole survivor of Lithone. He explains to the Autobots that the Quintessons serve to hunt down survivors of Unicron's attacks, and sentence them to death. After Kranix is executed, the Autobots are taken to face the Quintessons. Just as they are dropped into a pit of Sharkticons, Kup frees himself from his bonds, and frees his fellow Autobots, enabling them to fight back. They soon turn the tables on the Quintessons, who are last seen being chased away by their own Sharkticons. ==Synopsis==

In deep space, the planet Lithone is under attack from the planet-eater, Unicron. As the world is devoured, only one Lithonian, Kranix, manages to escape. Unicron now turns his sights on Cybertron....

The year is 2005, and although the Decepticons still rule Cybertron, the Autobots are preparing to retake the planet. But all is not yet ready. Optimus Prime sends a group of Autobots on a mission to Autobot City on Earth. Unfortunately, plans for this mission are overheard by Laserbeak, who reports the findings to Megatron. Megatron leads a group of Decepticons to intercept the Earth-bound shuttle, murder its crew, and attempt to invade Autobot City using the Autobot's own ship.

The Autobots are given the most minimal of advance warnings when Hot Rod, playing with Spike Witwicky's son Daniel outside Autobot City, notices something wrong with the ship. The Autobots scramble to prepare their base for battle, but being unprepared for this head-on assault, they are soon overwhelmed.

Optimus Prime arrives to join the battle, and knows that the only way the battle can be won is to face Megatron directly in mortal combat. Both leaders battle, and sustain heavy injuries. Although Optimus Prime is fatally wounded, he has turned the tide of the battle, and the Decepticons retreat using Astrotrain as transport. Before Prime dies, he passes the Autobot Matrix of Leadership to his choice for Autobot leader, Ultra Magnus.

As the embattled Decepticons journey through space, Astrotrain informs them that they must jettison dead weight or they'll never make it back to Cybertron. Starscream sees an opportunity. All of the most wounded Decepticons are tossed out into deep space, including Megatron.

The wounded Decepticons float through space, and are gathered toward Unicron. Unicron offers Megatron a deal: destroy the Autobot Matrix of Leadership in exchange for a new body and troops. Megatron resists at first, but ultimately agrees. Unicron reshapes some of fallen Decepticon warriors into Cyclonus, Scourge, and the Sweeps. Megatron himself is reformed into the powerful Galvatron!

Continued in Judgment Day!

Errors
As the scene with the Insecticons was cut, it is never revealed how Hot Rod and Daniel got back inside Autobot City, unless they just toughed it out outside the whole time.

Because lines were cut here and there, Megatron's response of "No, you don't own me!" seems a little strange when Unicron offers him a new body and new troops to command.

Differences Between the Film and Comic
Major changes include:

*As per the script: Unicron devours things with the aid of a strange corrosive mist. The Lithonians also have the ability to transform.
*Spike doesn't have an exo-suit. Rather he's wearing an orange red space suit.
*Also from the script, Laserbeak is first seen popping out of a cassette deck in Autobot headquarters after the shuttle launch rather than sneaking in, and perching onto the window.
*When the Decepticons attack the Autobot shuttle, Brawn is blasted in two, another detail from an early draft of the movie script that did not make it to the screen. Ironhide and Ratchet are not melted together though.
*The shuttle actually lands at Autobot City before Daniel sees the hole in the side.
* Kup and Blurr are pretty much ommited from this issue, despite Kup being on the cover. They can be seen vaguely during Optimus Prime's death scene. Also missing are Blaster, Jazz and Cliffjumper, and most of the Transformers that had small appearances. Many more generic transformers abound.
*Autobot City is called Fortress Maximus.
*Blitzwing's attack on Hot Rod, Starscream’s chase down the corridor, The Insecticons eating the door, The cassette fight, and Springer’s attack with the launcher have all been cut.
*Megatron orders the Constructicons to merge almost immediately, and Prime arrives not too long after.
*Hot Rod doesn’t interfere with the Prime/Megatron fight.
*The Matrix looks much different, basically like a green gem.
*No one fights inside Astrotrain.
*There is no mention of Cyclonus’ armada. He is described as “The warrior that will become Megatron’s ship”. The larger ship has been omitted, though there was no ship in the screenplay either.
*Oddly enough, Snarl is absent from the comic adaption as well. This may also be due to the screenplay which omits him. And Swoop is missing as well!
