:Power Station Alpha is an energy generator from the Generation 1 continuity family.

The first tangible result of a United States government-funded project, Power Station Alpha is the prototype for a revolutionary new kind of solar/nuclear power station that is designed to solve the nation's energy shortages. The station is mobile, due to its ability to convert into an aircraft. The ambitious mind behind this visionary project is Senator Barbara Larkin, who fought a hard battle to get the project approved. Or at least, so goes the official version. Power Station Alpha's real story contains a lot more Cobra and if ever it could've solved energy shortages, it would've been Cybertron's under Decepticon rule.

One way or another, Barbara Larkin came in contact with Cobra and made a deal with them. She would have a new type of power station designed and built. Though the power station would inherently not be a good idea because of the destructive potential it would have if it would make its way into the wrong hands, the project would get money to Larkin's homestate and generate a good number of jobs. Cobra's task then was to steal and destroy the power station, covering Larkin's tracks. What Cobra would get out of this is unknown, but because the power station had always been intended to be destroyed, the architects, in league with Larkin, had not taken proper fail-safes or substantial precautions in the design, leaving Power Station Alpha with considerable weaknesses. Ashes, Ashes...

Power Station Alpha was built inside Fort Lewis. The project caught the attention of the Washington population, concerned individuals of which started a protest against what they believed to be another nuclear disaster. At some stage, G.I. Joe was called in to regulate Fort Lewis's security as long as Alpha would be housed there. A day before the first test launch, Hawk escorted Barbara Larkin and three congressmen to Fort Lewis, past a large group of protesters. While Hawk and one congressman expressed their belief in Power Station Alpha, the two other congressmen remained convinced that the harm Alpha could do outweighed its potential benefits.

Meanwhile, at Autobot Headquarters in Oregon, Optimus Prime sent out Bumblebee to keep an eye on Alpha. In the Autobots' opinion, the power station was the most sophisticated construct humanity had come up with to date, and they feared that the Decepticons would try to steal it. Back in Washington, the Dreadnoks Ripper, Torch and Buzzer were getting bored with waiting amidst the protestors for orders to steal Power Station Alpha, so they decided to do the job on their own. Because they didn't know about or expect G.I. Joe's presence at Fort Lewis, they failed miserably and had to make a run for it. These events were monitored by both Cobra Commander on Cobra Island and Megatron at the tropical island base. Cobra Commander was furious because now the Joes knew of Cobra's interest in the power station, which would make stealing it a lot harder, ánd Serpentor was likely to make use of this failure to usurp Cobra Commander's leadership position. Megatron, in contrast, now was convinced Power Station Alpha was a worthwhile object to try to obtain. He ordered Bombshell to create a special cerebro-shell that would work on Alpha's main computer and sent him and Dirge to implant it.

Bumblebee arrived at the end of the day, leaving him a full night to admire the beauty of Alpha. When the power station was rolled out for launch the next day, everything was running smoothly until the Decepticons arrived. To get Bumblebee out of the way, Bombshell cerebro-shelled a a young boy among the protesters and got him to walk into Alpha's path. Bumblebee blew his cover to save the child from being crushed. As the Joes worried about the damage they might cause to Power Station Alpha if they fought the robot, Larkin insisted that it would be better to destroy the power station than to let if fall into wrong hands. So, the Joes shot Bumblebee to pieces and then had to deal with Superion when he came looking for his comrade. Blood on the Tracks

Alpha was brought to safety deeper inside the base while the Joes dealt with the robots. With Megatron growing loonier by the minute since the death of Optimus Prime, Shockwave took over in stealing the power station. Remote-controlling it through the cerebro-shell implanted earlier, Shockwave flew Alpha their island base's way. Cobra took notice of this, so Doctor Mindbender donned his electronic helmet and hijacked the cerebro-shell to get the power station to come to Cobra Island instead. For good measure, Serpentor, now leader of Cobra, sent out a fleet of aircrafts to escort Power Station Alpha, which turned out necessary since G.I. Joe had sent out a number of their aircrafts to get the power station back. Coincidentally, the two fleets clashed nearby a cruise ship, which the Cobra pilots threatened to destroy if they weren't allowed to leave. At Fort Lewis, Larkin again urged G.I. Joe to destroy Alpha, but Hawk believed thet should waste taxpayer money like that. Plus, destroying it would cause the people on the cruise ship to be exposed to the radioactive plutonium fallout. The Cobra fleet reached their island without further interruption, but when they got there, they were approached by Dirge and Bombshell, who wanted the power station back. Doctor Mindbender instead offered an alliance. The two Decepticons left to inform Shockwave of this proposal, unaware Doctor Mindbender had planted a listening device on Dirge. This way, Cobra learned that the Decepticons intended to modify Power Station Alpha so that it would turn Earth into a giant energy source that would repower the Decepticons and Cybertron. Power Struggle Alpha would then be placed between Earth and Cybertron, collecting the former planet's free energy and beaming it through to Cybertron.

Feigning ignorance, Cobra brought Power Station Alpha to the Decepticon base, where the two parties switched out Doctor Mindbender and Dirge as ambassadors-everybody-knew-were-spies. Shockwave followed this up by manipulating Cobra in attacking Autobot Headquarters. The one outcome Shockwave didn't expect was for Cobra to team up with the Autobots and G.I. Joe in order to save Earth. As the three parties prepared a counter strategy, Doctor Mindbender kept them up to date about Alpha's adjustments and the eventual launch of the power station. Ashes, Ashes...

Alpha's activities caused a series of big earthquakes. The three parties agreed that Alpha was to be their target, but whereas the Joes and Cobra wanted to destroy it, the Autobots knew it was a possibility that among the upgrades the power station has received from the Decepticons (which included a new drill mode) could be sentience or even sapience. Therefore, they could not allow it to be simply destroyed, not to mention that if it was sentient or sapient, approaching it would be a lot harder. After some observations, Hawk, Serpentor and Blaster believed that Power Station Alpha at best only had limited sentience and wouldn't respond to being approached. They sent out Scarlett, the Baroness and Goldbug to place explosives with automatic detonators to the power station's exterior. Doctor Mindbender would then use his electronic helmet to command Alpha into orbit, allowing everyone time to decide what to do with the thing. Cobra, of course, didn't keep to the deal. The Baroness set the timers while placing the explosives, ensuring the power station's destruction as soon as it would reach orbit. Though Earth and Cybertron were both saved and the Joes had nothing to do with the destruction, the Autobots were left disgusted with the humans and wondered if they could still be trusted. ...All Fall Down!
September 15, 2008 – In response to the changing needs of the community, the Teletraan-1 Transformers Wiki has broken ties with the Wikia, Inc. hosting service to strike out on its own. The newly independent wiki now goes by the name TFWIKI.NET, bringing its previous content and its most devoted and accurate contributors and admin staff to its new location, with a fresh new look and features as well.

TFWIKI.NET staff have cited increasingly obstructive advertising, forced format and design changes as the primary reasons for the move to an independently hosted wiki solution. "One day I came to the wiki, looking for Rorza, the Rocket-cycle Racer from Rigel III, but his image was no longer there! Instead, there was a block selling Pop-tarts," said David Willis, the founder of the new TFWIKI.net.

TFWIKI.NET’s independence from Wikia, Inc. will allow the wiki to continue bringing “the perfect mix of retentive detail and irreverence” (Pablo Hidalgo, Lucasfilm website content manager, ) to the public while limiting advertising to unobtrusive, directed content of interest to the Transformers fan community. The move was hailed as a coup for producers of user-created content by mainstream press in an article in the July 31st online edition of the Guardian newspaper. ()

The wiki staff and contributors decided on the name change to reduce confusion in regard to the old host. In the first 48 hours after the official move on September 14th, the out-of-date site, still hosted on Wikia’s servers, quickly fell behind TFWIKI.NET in terms of the quality and frequency of updated information. TFWIKI.NET is not concerned about potential confusion with Wikia, Inc.’s archived version of the old wiki. “The content, the contributors and the fans have all moved to the new server. If you were to compare the experience of reading TFWIKI.NET to reading Teletraan-1 prior to the move, you would see that the experience is identical,” regular contributor Greg Sepelak said shortly after the official move on September 14.

“Well, that’s not entirely true. The new wiki doesn’t block the content area of the articles with animated ads,” Sepelak continued. That's good news for people who want to know more about Optimus Prime and the Autobots' battles with Megatron and the evil Decepticons.
Cliffjumper first used his glass gas in vehicle mode, firing a burst at Laserbeak's remote-flying laser cannon after the Decepticons caught him and Hound spying on them. The cannon was destroyed in mid-air. It's a gas! More than Meets the Eye, Part 1

Later, he somehow used the gas to form a solid sphere of glass crystal around Megatron. Unfortunately, Megatron shattered it like, well... you know... Heavy Metal War

He tried using glass gas on Nightbird, only for the ninja to plug the end of the nozzle with a missile. Enter the Nightbird

The next time he used his glass gas gun was on Devastator during a battle near the Solar Power Tower. In response, Devastator swept his arm, causing a gust of wind which dissipated the gas harmlessly. Later in the battle, Cliffjumper was back to using lasers. The Master Builders
Though Iacon was accepting refugees, Emirate Xaaron wanted General Traachon to send a peace-keeping force to intervene in the conflict. Traachon refused to let Iacon forces be drawn into a foreign conflict that did not involve them, and further suggested that it was in Iacon's best interests that the militant Vos and Tarn destroy one another. State Games

As the war expanded and pressed on Iacon's borders, Emirate Xaaron pleaded with High Councilor Traachon to use his right of veto and place the Autobots under military rather than Council control. Tomaandi opposed the move, insisting that Iacon's forces remain under the direct control of the Council. In the face of Tomaandi's stubbornness, Traachon relented and gave full control of their forces to Optimus Prime, who subsequently pushed the Decepticon forces back, retaking much of the conquered territory. And There Shall Come...a Leader!
When Autobot astronomers discovered that their planet was traveling towards a potentially lethal asteroid belt, Tomaandi presided over the meeting of Autobot Elders where Optimus Prime agreed to lead the mission to clear a path through the asteroids. This meeting resulted in the construction of the Ark. The Transformers (issue) The relationship between the Council of Autobot Elders and the (much larger) body of Autobot Elders seen here is unknown.

The Autobot scientist Flame proposed reviving Megatron's plan to convert Cybertron into a mobile spacecraft. Emirate Xaaron felt the plan was too dangerous and spoke out against it strongly. Flame was cast out of the academy and denied funds to continue his research. When he succeeded in blowing himself up in Kalis, the Council traveled there to investigate his death in person. Legion of the Lost! The council's rare trip outside of Iacon seems to imply these events took place in a relative peace before Trannis rose to power.

When the Ark was lost in space, the Council of Autobot Elders, led by High Councilor Traachon, attempted to once again take command of the disorganized Autobot army. As a result, the Decepticons conquered the rest of the planet, but were unable to breach Iacon's fortified defenses. After several thousand years of this deadlock the new Decepticon leader Trannis gave up on capturing Iacon intact, and began to bombard the city. In an emergency meeting the council decided to surrender, except Xaaron, who fled. Trannis executed them for their trouble. Target: 2006#Cybertron: The Middle Years!
