Inferno's original toy was used as the main robot in the Korean anime "Pheonix King" as the giant robot of the same name. This was dubbed (horribly) and released in America as "Defenders of Space" generally selling for the bargin price of $1.00. Scenes from of "Inferno" from this anime were also incorperated into "Space Thunder Kids" sold by the same folks, also for $1.00.<br />

In the late 90's a knockoff of G2 Inferno with some yellow parts was sold in discount stores on a card reading "Transformers: Generation 3." <br />
