'''''Transformers Animated''''' is the latest television-supported ''Transformers'' [[franchise]], which began in December 2007. The latest re-imagining of the [[Transformers brand]] brings a highly dynamic and stylized look to the toys and fiction.

The franchise consists of the following components:

The series has adopted a new visual art style and form of storytelling which has not been used before in ''Transformers.'' The changes in design were created in an attempt to attract the modern youth viewer. The new art style incorporates a more "organic" feel to the Transformer characters. This style of art and character movement was introduced to emphasize dramatic movements and to allow the animator to express more emotion than in previous series.

Leo pointed out Alice to Sam as he was moving into the dorms at [[Princeton University]]. Leo explained to Sam that he had a thing for the bounteously endowed blonde, and he wanted to make sure Sam knew it so he didn't steal her away. Later that night, Leo had dragged Sam to a fraternity party, where the wayward Witwicky became engrossed in writing [[Cyberglyphics]] symbols in the cake frosting. This caught Alice's eye, and she decided she simply ''had'' to strike up a conversation with the boy who'd just accidentally stuck chocolate frosting in his ear. Though Sam protested against her rather forceful advances, she ignored his pleas until her attempt at seduction was interrupted by the timely arrival of [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] on the [[Delta Fraternity|fraternity house's]] lawn. Sam appeared grateful for the reprieve until Alice invited herself for a ride. Bumblebee tried his best to monkey-wrench her attempts at conversation with Sam during the ride, but eventually got frustrated and went the expedient route of dousing her in antifreeze. Alice got out and left in a huff.

Later on, Alice made her way to Sam's dorm room to talk to him without the meddling yellow one around. En route she was engaged by Leo, who again proclaimed his desires for her and offered her a meat-laden pizza. She icily ignored him, finding the true object of her desires when the dorm room's door was opened to reveal Sam, who had covered every flat surface in it with Cyberglyphic symbols. Leo, figuring out what was to come next, asked if he could at least watch. Alice summarily shut the door in his face. Once again giving Sam the hard-sell, she forced him onto the bed and began probing his oral region with her tongue. Meanwhile, an entirely different probing appendage snaked out from beneath her skirt. Stealthily retracting the metallic tentacle when [[Mikaela Banes]] burst in, Alice waited until the human had left, and then proceeded to extrude it again and wrap it about Sam's neck, closing off his windpipe. Mikaela returned, hearing Sam's strangled cries, and dislodged Alice by throwing the toolbox containing [[Wheelie (ROTF)|Wheelie]] at her. Leo returned at this point, only to flee as Alice transformed into a robotic war machine!

Alice chased the trio out of the dorm, and through the campus library where she destroyed several shelves with energy blasts, eventually firing wide and blasting a hole in the library wall. Her quarry fled through the opening and Mikaela hotwired a car. Catching up with them, Alice leaped onto the hood and tried to get at Sam by smashing through the windshield. Mikaela tried to shake Alice off by driving, but had no luck until she rammed the car, and thus the Decepticon infiltrator, into a lamp post. Two years later, Roadblock was using the Joes' [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertronian]] technology to combat Cobra's use of the same. When [[Cobra Commander]] decided to usurp [[Teletran 3]] to gain teleportation abilities, Roadblock was part of the team that attempted to stop him, but was accidentally transported to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] when gunfire damaged Teletran 3's connection. When further complications sent various Transformers through time, teams of Joes and Cobras had to return them, or else Earth would be destroyed. {{storylink|G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II issue 1|G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II #1}} Roadblock was teamed with the [[Baroness]], [[Beachhead]] and a hapless [[Cobra Viper]] named [[Percy]] and sent to 1930's
[[Chicago]]. There, they rescued [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] and fought off the [[Stunticon]]s. Roadblock also got a chance to impersonate Miles Davis while infiltrating a jazz club to obtain information. (Of ''course'' he's an expert trumpeter!) {{storylink|G.I. After returning to present-day Cybertron, Roadblock and the others were attacked by [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]]'s forces and forced to hide. As their only chance of survival was to bring back the last team of time-travelers, Roadblock and [[Lady Jaye]] snuck into Teletran 3's control room in their underwear (we're not making this up), where Roadblock grabbed a Decepticon pistol and fired it at the robots. This distraction allowed Lady Jaye to undo Shockwave's tampering with Teletran 3, which allowed the final team to return with the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]], who saved the day. {{storylink|G.I. An agreement was made between the Autobots and G.I. Joe to decommission all Cybertronian technology on Earth, including Roadblock's mech suit. He didn't mind much, since piloting it was like "ridin' around in a crawdad pot". When [[Area 52 (G1)|Area 52]] suddenly came under attack from Cobra's [[Battle Android Trooper]]s, Roadblock went out in his mech and defended the facility. {{storylink|The Art of War issue 1|The Art of War #1}} However, it soon turned out that the attack was merely a distraction, as Cobra Commander infiltrated Area 52's lower levels and activated [[Serpent O.R.]] When G.I. Joe and their Autobot guests came to investigate, Serpent O.R. attacked them and took control of Roadblock's mech with his robotic tentacles, forcing it to punch [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] in the gob. Along with [[Hawk (G.I. Joe)|Hawk]], [[Scarlett]], [[Snake-Eyes]] and the Autobots, Roadblock chased Serpent O.R. to Cybertron, where they were immediately beset by [[cannibalizer]]s. They escaped, only to run straight into Serpent O.R. and his new Decepticon army, who captured the team and locked Roadblock and Hawk in a box. Hawk blamed himself for how things turned out and apologized for bringing the others along, but Roadblock assured him that there was no one he'd rather follow than Hawk. Except maybe Tyra Banks. {{storylink|The Art of War issue 3|The Art of War #3}} When Serpent O.R. came to their cell to ask Hawk a few questions, an enraged Roadblock attacked the android, but his barrage of punches succeeded in nothing but injuring his own fists. Shortly after joining G.I. Joe, Roadblock was training martial arts with [[Quick Kick]] when both of them were challenged by [[Snake-Eyes]]. After the ninja mopped the floor with them, they listened to the former [[Cobra]] member [[Mercer]] tell them about Cobra's [[Transformer|alien technology]]. {{storylink|G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #2}} Roadblock later defended the [[SPS Research Center]] by disguising himself as a scientist until Cobra got close, at which point he helped fill [[Ratbat (G1)|Ratbat]] full of lead. {{storylink|G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers issue 3|G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #3}} He also participated in G.I. Joe's assault on [[Cobra Island]]. {{storylink|G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers issue 6|G.I. Two years later, Roadblock was using the Joes' [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertronian]] technology to combat Cobra's use of the same. When [[Cobra Commander]] decided to usurp [[Teletran 3]] to gain teleportation abilities, Roadblock was part of the team that attempted to stop him, but was accidentally transported to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] when gunfire damaged Teletran 3's connection. When further complications sent various Transformers through time, teams of Joes and Cobras had to return them, or else Earth would be destroyed. {{storylink|G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II issue 1|G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II #1}} Roadblock was teamed with the [[Baroness]], [[Beachhead]] and a hapless [[Cobra Viper]] named [[Percy]] and sent to 1930's
[[Chicago]]. There, they rescued [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] and fought off the [[Stunticon]]s. Roadblock also got a chance to impersonate Miles Davis while infiltrating a jazz club to obtain information. (Of ''course'' he's an expert trumpeter!) {{storylink|G.I. After returning to present-day Cybertron, Roadblock and the others were attacked by [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]]'s forces and forced to hide. As their only chance of survival was to bring back the last team of time-travelers, Roadblock and [[Lady Jaye]] snuck into Teletran 3's control room in their underwear (we're not making this up), where Roadblock grabbed a Decepticon pistol and fired it at the robots. This distraction allowed Lady Jaye to undo Shockwave's tampering with Teletran 3, which allowed the final team to return with the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]], who saved the day. {{storylink|G.I. An agreement was made between the Autobots and G.I. Joe to decommission all Cybertronian technology on Earth, including Roadblock's mech suit. He didn't mind much, since piloting it was like "ridin' around in a crawdad pot". When [[Area 52 (G1)|Area 52]] suddenly came under attack from Cobra's [[Battle Android Trooper]]s, Roadblock went out in his mech and defended the facility. {{storylink|The Art of War issue 1|The Art of War #1}} However, it soon turned out that the attack was merely a distraction, as Cobra Commander infiltrated Area 52's lower levels and activated [[Serpent O.R.]] When G.I. Joe and their Autobot guests came to investigate, Serpent O.R. attacked them and took control of Roadblock's mech with his robotic tentacles, forcing it to punch [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] in the gob. Grims ripped the mech's arm off. Don't punch Grimlock. {{storylink|The Art of War issue 2|The Art of War #2}}

Along with [[Hawk (G.I. Joe)|Hawk]], [[Scarlett]], [[Snake-Eyes]] and the Autobots, Roadblock chased Serpent O.R. to Cybertron, where they were immediately beset by [[cannibalizer]]s. They escaped, only to run straight into Serpent O.R. and his new Decepticon army, who captured the team and locked Roadblock and Hawk in a box. Hawk blamed himself for how things turned out and apologized for bringing the others along, but Roadblock assured him that there was no one he'd rather follow than Hawk. Except maybe Tyra Banks. {{storylink|The Art of War issue 3|The Art of War #3}} When Serpent O.R. came to their cell to ask Hawk a few questions, an enraged Roadblock attacked the android, but his barrage of punches succeeded in nothing but injuring his own fists. Fortunately, they were freed by Snake-Eyes and Scarlett shortly afterwards. {{storylink|The Art of War issue 4|The Art of War #4}} Upon making their way to Serpent O.R.'s chambers, the team found the android under the control of Cobra Commander, who knocked Roadblock unconscious with his tentacles.
