When a [[sword]] just doesn't provide the cutting power required for the task, [[Transformer]]s may prefer using saws as their melee weapon(s) of choice. Saws offer great cutting power, cannot be [[Blackarachnia (BW)‎|blocked]] as easily as swords and are generally very intimidating. From time to time, saws may come in handy as construction or [[Ratchet (Movie)|medical]] tools, for [[Dinobot (BW)|gardening purposes]], [[Hot Rod (G1)|cutting up tasty fish]] or as [[Manterror|torture]] devices. [[The Transformers Chocolate Flavored Cereal|<s>Cereal</s>]] [[Lockdown (Animated)|Serial killers]] love these.
