Arcee was one of the many Autobots who were captured and placed in [[Kaon]]'s prisons complex. She was freed from her imprisonment when [[Optimus Prime (Prime)|Optimus Prime]], [[Bumblebee (Prime)|Bumblebee]] and [[Sideswipe (Prime)|Sideswipe]] allowed themselves to be captured in order to rescue [[Sentinel Zeta Prime|Zeta Prime]]. During their rescue attempt, they opened all of the Kaon cells, allowing the prisoners, Arcee included, to escape. The freed prisoners were all led to transport ships, overseen by [[Air Raid (Prime)|Air Raid]], in which they used to escape the complex. Arcee herself helped direct her fellow prisoners to the ships, whilst Optimus's team kept the Decepticons busy.

In the streets of [[Detroit]], [[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus]] is taken by surprise by [[Blackarachnia (Animated)|Blackarachnia]], who traps him from the neck down in webbing. She informs him that she plans to use [[AllSpark Key|the key]] on her body. Optimus says he won't let "Elita-1" do that. Blackarachnia becomes enraged at the sound of her old name and demands Optimus explain why he left her to die.

Optimus says that he and [[Sentinel Prime (Animated)|Sentinel]] immediately formed a search party to rescue her, but were never able to find her. She is hesitant to believe him, until Optimus breaks free, grabs her hands and vows to do whatever it takes to help her restore her body.

Blackarachnia is moved by Optimus's vow, until suddenly [[Blackout (Animated)|Blackout]] swoops in and transforms, sheering the top off a skyscraper and burying Optimus in rubble! Blackarachnia asks him what he's doing there, and Blackout explains that two pesky [[Autobot]]s have been tailing him.

Right on cue, [[Jetfire (Animated)|Jetfire]] and [[Jetstorm (Animated)|Jetstorm]] swoop in, informing Blackout that he cannot run or escape. The twins attack him gleefully, amused that despite their puny size, they are effective against Blackout because he's too big. They then combine into [[Safeguard (Animated)|Safeguard]] and go toe-to-toe with the [[Decepticon]]. [[Bumblebee (Animated)|Bumblebee]], helping Optimus out of the rubble, wonders who the new robots are. Optimus recognizes them as the [[Elite Guard]].

Watching the battle from a distance, [[Lugnut]] seizes Blackarachnia by the arm and declares that the battle has become to hazardous and they must retreat. Blackarachnia asks what'll become of Blackout, and Lugnut informs her that he is not a priority; their only concern should be their glorious [[Emperor of Destruction]].

As they zoom off into the sky, Optimus calls after "Elita-1", repeating his vow to help her find a cure. Solemnly, Blackarchnia tells him never to call her by that name again.
