'''Brick''' is a fan term, usually derogatory, used to describe a [[Toy|Transformers toy]] that has particularly low [[articulation]]. Most examples of bricks tend to be smaller toys that have been given limited articulation to keep costs down. The [[Throttlebot]]s and the [[Duocon]]s are prime examples. Though she can bring significant firepower to bear with her hand-held negative energy blaster, she far prefers to use the seismic energy dischargers built into her giant stompy boots to cause localized earthquakes.

Fracture was one of [[Stockade (Movie)|Stockade's]] "new Decepticons": a group of Decepticons who remained on the dying Cybertron and survived by feeding on [[Nucleon]]. {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 17|Return to Cybertron: Part 1}} She was ''not'' loyal to Megatron, as he was the git who caused Cybertron to start dying in the first place.

She helped Stockade summon an alien entity related to the [[AllSpark]] to Cybertron, and then opened up a "dock" for it to enter, thus rebirthing the world. When the New Decepticons went to Earth to protect it from [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]] in the Autobots' absence, Fracture's job was to hit the lead [[Drone|drones]] with a frequency that would brainwash ''every other'' drone linked to them into switching sides. {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 24|Revolution Part Two}} Thanks to her, by the early morning of the next day, the New Decepticons had won the [[Decepticon Civil War]] and only the [[Decepticon Heartland]] remained.

Fracture, doing recon, found nobody was home at the Heartland base, and believed [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]] must've fled. This turned out to be wrong though, as a revived Megatron began blitzing them! She showed some concern for [[Storm Surge (Movie)|Storm Surge]], yelling at him to move as the laser-fire rained down, before getting stuck into the battle and trading shots with a jet-mode Starscream.

Unfortunately for her and her mates, the Autobots decided to teleport the New Decepticons to Cybertron along with Megatron's to ensure they didn't hold onto Earth. Years later, Fracture was one of the reinforcements sent to Earth by [[Soundwave (ROTF)|Soundwave]], making her landing in [[Italy]]. She was in command of [[Gunbarrel (Movie)|Gunbarrel]] and [[Reverb (Movie)|Reverb]], who she led in a raid of a military base. Some will vehemently refuse to admit it exists. Others ''really'' don't care about [[Transformers brand|the brand]] beyond it. Regardless of [[Fandom|opinions]], [[Transformer]]s engaging in or pursuing interaction of a '''romantic nature''' is a well-established element in pretty much every continuity. For the most part, Transformers are observed searching for romantic partners amongst their own kind, but attraction to organic lifeforms and even non-living objects has been documented as well.

Some wonder why a species that likely does not [[Reproduction|reproduce]] sexually would participate in behavior that in other creatures exists as a means to promote sex and thereby new life. While a definitive answer to this has yet to be given, the question as to why Transformers become romantically involved with one another can be approached from a different angle. Transformers are a highly social species. This is shown through their very human-like society, interpersonal interactions, [[Relatives|familial relationships]], and even the fairly common practice of merging [[Combiner|bodies]] and minds. If these are not frowned upon, then why should social connections of the romantic kind be regarded much differently, if at all? Perhaps there is no reason for them to engage in romance, but then there is equally no reason for them not to.

Though rather obscure, there is even an official term for two Transformers in a relationship: "[[spark]]mates". The most common observation of Cybertronian romance is between a male and a [[female Transformer]]. Considering the general scarcity of female Transformers, and perhaps the absence of [[Reproduction|sexual reproduction]], this is a rather interesting if odd situation. Second to that are the number of noted relations between a Transformer and an organic, equally so almost solely between a (nominally) male and female. These become more frequent as the gender balance becomes less even, even if that is a direct result of Transformers allegedly being genderless. Third in line come "couples" that consist of a Transformer fawning over a not-living object, often regarding it as of the opposite gender.

Though not unheard of, same gender interests are extremely rare. The Japanese version of ''[[Beast Wars (cartoon)|Beast Wars]]'' had [[Airazor (BW)|Airazor]] as a male, making ''his'' relation with [[Tigatron]] the only known instance of a homosexual Transformer couple.<ref name="Airazorboy">The reason the Japanese ''Beast Wars'' dub had Airazor male was because Takara hoped to increase toy sales that way. Therefore, the relationship with [[Tigatron]] was initially played off somewhat differently to avoid complaints of homosexuality. Tigatron was presented as a samurai retainer with protective feelings towards his young ward, their closeness addressed in a "brotherly" sort of way. Despite that, there was still enough innuendo left over for the gender-bending to become noticeable. The end of the matter came with the sequence in "[[Other Visits (Part 1)]]" when Airazor and Tigatron stare into each other's eyes while holding hands and slowly leaning in for a kiss. Since little could be done with that scene, the dub team had Airazor fully "come out" and begin to express his affection for Tigatron just before the two of them were abducted by the Vok. The real world-explanation for the overall lack of anything specific between two of the same gender is that ''Transformers'' above all exists [[to sell toys]] to children and so has to play in on the wishes and expectations of the general audience. Even if attitude is improving, [[Wikipedia:Heteronormativity|heterosexuality is still the default assumption and favoured option]]. A few same gender-relations may have appeared in fiction over time, at least the most prominent one by accident,<ref name="Airazorboy" /> but for the moment, writers still prefer to haul up Arcee or insert a new female (Transformer) to fill the romance niche than play up that sort of interaction in same gender context.

The [[Unofficial guidebooks#Prime Targets|hints]] are few and far between, but ''Transformers'' is not devoid of the possibility Transformers might engage in sexual activities (for recreational purposes). [[Kiss]]ing is a regularly observed sign of affection and in [[The Headmasters (cartoon)|''The Headmasters'' episode]] "[[Return of the Immortal Emperor]]", [[Chromedome (G1)|Chromedome]] was rather thrilled he got to see [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]] transform. Nevertheless, ''Beast Wars'' was the first to pick up the subject in a more direct manner: in the episode "[[The Agenda (Part 1)]]", [[Rattrap]] offers to take [[Silverbolt (BW)|Silverbolt]] to what sounds like a Cybertronian version of a strip club, and later slyly makes a double entendre regarding Silverbolt's suspected kinky activities with [[Blackarachnia (BW)|Blackarachnia]]. ''[[Beast Wars Neo (franchise)|Beast Wars Neo]]'' featured the character [[Archadis]], who makes a sport out of coming up with double entendres. [[Scarlett]] and [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]] had a suggestive conversation about "riding" him in "[[Wolves]]", and in "[[The Art of War issue 3]]", Arcee promised Bumblebee to "rotate his tires" if he could beat her, to which he responded with a most enthusiastic "Wooo-Hooo!". In the Dreamwave issue "[[Infestation (Dreamwave)|Infestation]]", [[:Image:Infestation crotchrot.jpg|one remark from Sunstreaker]] might suggest the existence of Transformer S.T.D.'s. In the ever-questionable ''[[Kiss Players (franchise)|Kiss Players]]'' double-entendres ran rife, with one of the most disturbing involving Optimus Prime deriving pleasure from [[Marissa Faireborn]] polishing his stick shift and rubbing the rim of his gas tank, which are pretty clear metaphors for... well... y'know.

For the most part, Transformers are observed searching for romantic partners amongst their own kind, but attraction to organic lifeforms and even non-living objects has been documented as well.

Some wonder why a species that likely does not [[Reproduction|reproduce]] sexually would participate in behavior that in other creatures exists as a means to promote sex and thereby new life. While a definitive answer to this has yet to be given, the question as to why Transformers become romantically involved with one another can be approached from a different angle. Transformers are a highly social species. This is shown through their very human-like society, interpersonal interactions, [[Relatives|familial relationships]], and even the fairly common practice of merging [[Combiner|bodies]] and minds. If these are not frowned upon, then why should social connections of the romantic kind be regarded much differently, if at all? Perhaps there is no reason for them to engage in romance, but then there is equally no reason for them not to.

Though rather obscure, there is even an official term for two Transformers in a relationship: "[[spark]]mates". The most common observation of Cybertronian romance is between a male and a [[female Transformer]]. Considering the general scarcity of female Transformers, and perhaps the absence of [[Reproduction|sexual reproduction]], this is a rather interesting if odd situation. Second to that are the number of noted relations between a Transformer and an organic, equally so almost solely between a (nominally) male and female. These become more frequent as the gender balance becomes less even, even if that is a direct result of Transformers allegedly being genderless. Third in line come "couples" that consist of a Transformer fawning over a not-living object, often regarding it as of the opposite gender.

Though not unheard of, same gender interests are extremely rare. The Japanese version of ''[[Beast Wars (cartoon)|Beast Wars]]'' had [[Airazor (BW)|Airazor]] as a male, making ''his'' relation with [[Tigatron]] the only known instance of a homosexual Transformer couple.<ref name="Airazorboy">The reason the Japanese ''Beast Wars'' dub had Airazor male was because Takara hoped to increase toy sales that way. Therefore, the relationship with [[Tigatron]] was initially played off somewhat differently to avoid complaints of homosexuality. Tigatron was presented as a samurai retainer with protective feelings towards his young ward, their closeness addressed in a "brotherly" sort of way. Despite that, there was still enough innuendo left over for the gender-bending to become noticeable. The end of the matter came with the sequence in "[[Other Visits (Part 1)]]" when Airazor and Tigatron stare into each other's eyes while holding hands and slowly leaning in for a kiss. Since little could be done with that scene, the dub team had Airazor fully "come out" and begin to express his affection for Tigatron just before the two of them were abducted by the Vok. While the ability to at least exchange thoughts can explain the interest some Transformers have for beings not belonging to their own kind, that pretty much doesn't go for the interest some of them have for non-living objects. Unless the fact they often treat them as if alive has something to do with it. Thankfully, Reverb was captured by [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]], but Jolt's carelessness landed the Autobots in a lot of trouble with [[Theodore Galloway]]. Optimus Prime stressed the importance of treading carefully to Jolt, who promised to be "the soul of discretion".

Unfortunately, two days later, discretion was nowhere to be seen when Jolt went hog-wild in the middle of [[Las Vegas]], battling the martial artist Decepticon [[Bludgeon (ROTF)|Bludgeon]]. With one of his electro-whips severed by the Bludgeon's sword, Jolt was sent crashing through a casino wall, but what stung more were the Decepticons' taunts that everything would have been fine if he had not been so overzealous and allowed him to leave the city before attacking. Bludgeon then turned his attention to the casino's patrons, but a repentant Jolt threw himself in the path of the blast meant for them. As Bludgeon loomed over him, preparing to strike with his sword, Jolt seized the blade and used his powers to channel the entire output of Las Vegas's electric grid straight into the skeletal samurai. Although Bludgeon was defeated by the monumental shock, the city was left blacked out by Jolt's stunt, and Optimus Prime was reluctantly forced to confine him to base. Jolt accepted his punishment, but as he walked back into headquarters, he overheard a transmission came through from a NEST squad in the field, announcing they were under Decepticon attack... and Jolt gritted his teeth for action... {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 2.9|Culture Shock}}

He later underwent further training alongside [[Dune Runner (ROTF)|Dune Runner]] and [[Rollbar (ROTF)|Rollbar]], and undertook a survival exercise in [[Death Valley]], [[California]]. He noted to Dune Runner that Bumblebee had found a pretty horrible place to train. He followed Rollbar's lead to a deserted ghost town and happily used his powers to track down the recharge pack the Autobots had hidden there. However, he also found...[[Dead End (ROTF)|Dead End]]! His left arm was torn off, and though he ordered Rollbar to focus on Dead End and not him, the monster Decepticon still tore through the other cadets. Realising they were running on empty, a desperate Jolt used every bit of power in the recharge pack to charge up an electro-whip and knock Dead End out before he could kill the others.

At Rollbar's urging, the cadets took the Decepticon back to [[Diego Garcia]] for medical treatment. [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]] told Jolt and the others that this act of mercy showed they had what it takes to be real Autobots. {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 2.11|Spare Parts!}}

Following this, they spent some time under [[Springer (ROTF)|Springer]], a famed veteran of whom they were in awe. He taught them ''always'' to do the unexpected. Jolt, to the shock of the other cadets, spoke up during training to say they'd done ''enough'' exercises and they'd like to have a go at real combat. Springer agreed, and Jolt blew off the other cadet's claims of Springer having a rep as a monster by noticing that he was just a true soldier. A few days later, in [[Texas]], they got that combat op: Springer distracted [[Tankor (ROTF)|Tankor]] while the cadets snuck round to free hostages. However, Jolt spotted [[Dirge (ROTF)|Dirge]] coming in to get the drop on the commander and decided to leave his mission to get involved in the fight. Using his electro-whips, he redirected Tankor's fire into Dirge and saved the day! Springer was pissed that Jolt had disobeyed orders, but Jolt flippantly said that hey, he'd just been doing the unexpected, like he'd been taught. {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 2.12|Rules of Engagement}}

Jolt and his crew would be called in to [[CFB Comox|NEST Ops Vancouver]] to search for the missing [[Stratosphere]]; they knew he may have died, but Jolt said they had to look anyway.
