Hello. ;-D Actually, according to what I learned from the University, the spell of Chinese words differs from region. Taiwan uses <s>Han-yue Pin-yin</s> Romanization, which contains macrons and dash; while China uses <s>Romanization</s> Hanyü Pinyin, which doesn't include macrons and dash most time.

OOps, a BIG oops, I wrote the name opposite, it always confuse people, because Taipei City use Hanyue, while other areas remain using Romanization. Jesus, I even leave a wrong note in the edit summary. I feel so guilty...

Back to the topic, as far as I know, there are at least three kind of spelling for the Chinese (more precisely, Mandarin) pronunciation: Two for Romanization and one for Hanyü Pinyin (or simply Pinyin).

Honestly, the English spell for Mandarin is truly complicate, I still need to look up the spelling table to make sure the spell is right or not sometimes.

::WOOT! I got it! I finally figured out how to add the video to my playlist so I could read the description. Much to my great joy, said description indicated the video could be found at gameads.gamepressure.com. The funny thing is, I could have had this much sooner had I thought to Google how to run Javascript from a web browser. I failed in getting it work earlier, and thought the structure of YouTube's commands was to blame. Thank you for trying to help me out earlier.

The text inside the single quotes is the ID of the deleted video. The ID of a YouTube video is the sequence of characters following 'v=' but before an ampersand (if present) in a YouTube URL. So if the URL is <nowiki>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Crn_8VIxaOk&feature=PlayList</nowiki> then the video ID would be Crn_8VIxaOk. For the example in the double quotes I used the ID of a deleted Transformers commercial.

::No big deal on the Channel Red clips, I might be able to get those from their creator. I actually managed to download #8 and can send/upload that if you like. On a related note, I found a way to download the "Army" spot from MySpace so I can pass it along as well if you want. I think I tried to get #9 and unknowingly grabbed the wrong video as I ended up with two copies of #12 for some reason. If it helps at all, the file name that the clips saved to was "NewTransformersTVSpot". What I have is in .AVI format but I think they were originally .FLV's. Could be another opportunity to get it from iklipz since the server is responding again after being down the past 3-4+ days. Though it's not returning any actual pages, it is returning XML parsing errors and blank pages. So we have that going for us. Which is nice. And I did recently look back at that discussion about the Shrek trailer. I got in touch with the guy who recorded that and he told me that he didn't think he had the recording anymore. There's another ridge on the inside of the hood, under the sideview mirror, which fits into the slot between the two ridges on the side panel. Checking Wikipedia Japan, at least in terms of theater, 演出(家) is like a stage director and (舞台)監督 like a stage manager. Once a performance actually begins, the stage manager sort of inherits/takes over the stage director's work. For the duration of the performance, s/he takes on the responsibility for maintaining the progress of the concepts and the play that the stage director provided.
:In TV animation, the 演出 can also be credited as 監督, as well as ディレクター or アニメーション・ディレクター, so that's not much help.

Doug, I found this weird tidbit in the Beast Wars Koushiki Guidebook... it's a section on American toys, but Lazorbeak is called "Terrorsaur" and seems to have a bio calling him an upgraded form of Terrorsaur with new powers. Weirder still, his name is spelled out te-ra-soo, rather than te-ra-za-u-raa (the standard katakana for his Japanese name) which further makes it seem like they're talking about the US guy.

Doctor Sigma, a Japanese TF fan, recently(ish) sent me this same question. From my research, it seems the name "Transformers Tatakai" originated from this news posting ( http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/transformers-tatakai-video-game/699/ ), which states the title was found in the Babbages computer system. A posting on TFormers ( http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=1566&mode=flat ) said the game was mentioned in PlayStation Magazine as coming out in the US, but it doesn't say what title PlayStation Magazine actually used for the game, so we don't know whether or not it was legitimately going to be called "Transformers Tatakai".

Personally, that the original posting stated that the game was going to come out June 3rd in the US when it wasn't released in Japan until October 30th casts a pallor of suspicion over the entire thing for me. But, uh, at least Ichikawa-san will finally get his answer, more-or-less...
