:His shooting (and thus Beachcomber's capture and implantation with the cerebro-shell) happened just after Thunderwing was defeated, but prior to the abandonment of Cybertron. ::Well, the narration says it's happening "now", presumably during Devastation. Silverbolt being in charge of the Hub instead of Prime backs that up. On the other hand, Blaster's cameo in Stormbringer #1 disrupts that version of the timeline. In that case, Blaster's Spotlight will have to have occurred prior to the Stormbringer series, and Silverbolt was merely on duty while Prime was taking "downtime" or involved in some other, unnamed series of events off the Hub. --[[User:Xaaron|Xaaron]] 03:28, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

(Yet another relative for Blaster if taken as canon) Take that as you will in regards to the spotlight's timeline. ''Waspinator is a [[Predacon]] in the [[Beast Era]] portion of [[Generation 1]] continuity.''

'''Waspinator''' is the universe's chewtoy. If something goes wrong, it happens to him. If something blows up, he'll be blasted into his component parts. He also doesn't talk so good (he has a problem with pronouns), so he's easy to make fun of. [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] has classified the hairbrained Predacon as expendable, much to Waspinator's dismay. Waspinator's not stupid, and has caught on to his lot in life, and tries to avoid his fate as often as possible, but fate always finds him. Thankfully, Waspinator is almost supernaturally durable, and has survived the most devastating and humiliating of defeats. Whether this is a boon or a curse is anyone's guess.

Waspinator is known for generally speaking in the third person and making a buzzing noise in place of the letter S.

A large part of Waspinator's popularity stems from his accident-prone history. Specifically the fact that he is savagely beaten, and usually blown apart in almost every single episode of the series. This aspect is often made light of during the series, much to Waspinator's disgust.

In the episode ''[[Possession]]'', the Ghost of [[Starscream_(G1)|Starscream]] travels through time and takes his body. In another episode, as a result of a concussion, he flies around in a daze, claiming to be the [[Insecticon (G1)|Insecticon]] [[Shrapnel (G1)|Shrapnel]].

At the end of the series, tired of being the butt of everyones jokes, Waspinator rips off his [[Faction symbols|Predacon symbol]] and leaves the Predacons and remains on Earth while all the other surviving Transformers set off for Cybertron. The series ends with his comment "Waspinator happy at last."

Sadly, for Waspinator, the Protohumans he had ruled over grew tired of his presence and forced him to leave the planet and return to Cybertron under his own power. There his spark was removed and used to power the Vehicon general, [[Thrust (BM)|Thrust]]. He was discovered by [[Blackarachnia]] after she thought he was [[Silverbolt]]. Waspinator returned in the finale as in his beast mode with Thrust's head, and the size of a standard wasp. He complains to Rattrap about how much he wanted glory and power, but Rattrap simply swats him away.
