When Primal Prime was critically damaged in a battle with Cryotek, Apelinq made the ultimate sacrifice, allowing the ancient supercomputer Vector Sigma to merge his Spark and Primal Prime's into Sentinel Maximus. Sentinel Maximus combines Primal Prime's power, charisma, and direct link to the knowledge of the Matrix with Apelinq's strategic genius and ability to download virtual objects into reality. When a smaller, more stealthy form is preferable, the cab portion of his armored transport mode can disengage and transform into Hyperlinq. He has no known physical weaknesses.
Universe: Featuring the Wreckers
Deep within a newly reformatted technorganic Cybertron, the Wreckers battled Cryotek, mastermind behind and benefactor of a far-reaching plot to capture the Divine Light for himself and use its power to siphon the power of Primus himself. As Cryotek mutated himself into a gigantic entity with the abilities of a god, the empowered Predacon fired upon Apelinq, but it was Primal Prime who dove to take the shot. Instead of saving Apelinq, the two were fused together and fell, defeated.

But this was not the end for either. Apelinq and Primal Prime were merged by Primus into the mighty Sentinel Maximus.

Even still, Cryotek's powers were greater, and he and Sentinel Maximus fought a prolonged battle through the corridors of Cybertron. Their battle's path was directed according to instructions from their Quintesson guide, Al-Badur, which landed both of them within a Quintesson banishment chamber. Unfortunately for Sentinel Maximus, the Quintesson activated the chamber with all three inside, trapped in front of a dimensional portal with a powerful pull. As Sentinel Maximus and Cryotek fought each other while trying to keep their distance from the portal, help arrived. Cheetor and a battle-weakened Rodimus, both Matrix Templars, used their abilities to drain power from the Divine Light which was empowering Cryotek. While this did remove power from Cryotek and shrink him to a more accommodating size, he still possessed enough power to threaten Cybertron and its inhabitants. Selflessly, Sentinel Maximus shoved Cryotek through the portal, and the two vanished through it.

Both found themselves hovering in a dark, empty dimension, but before Cryotek could reach Sentinel Maximus, the latter was taken away by Primus to do battle elsewhere in the multiverse. Wreckers: Finale Part II

Fluctuations in the fabric of the multiverse caused by the Unicron Singularity pulled Sentinel Maximus out of the Universe war and into the center of the Unicron Trilogy's Cybertron near the beginning of the search for the Cyber Planet Keys. Recruited by Alpha Trion to assist Vector Prime, they were all suddenly under attack by Unicron's minions, Ramjet and Nemesis Prime. Sentinel Maximus fought back, but his adversaries retreated after destroying both Alpha Trion and Vector Sigma. Balancing Act (issue)

After discovering that his battle with the zombie Dark Scorponok was just a diversion, Sentinel Maximus, along with Vector Prime, hunted down the two deep within Cybertron near the chamber that held Primus's lifeforce. Balancing Act, Part 4 Vector Prime fought Ramjet, taking their battle far into Cybertron's atmosphere, while Sentinel Maximus tried to prevent Nemesis Prime from unleashing the Dead Matrix on Primus's lifeforce, which would allow Unicron to defeat Primus and consume the multiverse, ending all existence forever. Sentinel Maximus failed, and Nemesis Prime sealed himself into the chamber alone, Balancing Act, Pt 5 being stopped only by the chance appearance of Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus from the Robots in Disguise universe. Revelations Part 1

After this battle, Vector Prime had defeated Ramjet, but was severely drained. He left the enigmatic Velocitronian Skyfall in the obviously capable hands of Sentinel Maximus, with instructions to take him far, far away and keep him safe, for Skyfall was very important for unspecified reasons. Revelations Part 2

A while later, Sentinel Maximus brought Skyfall with him to help end the violently dangerous Mini-Con civil war that had erupted on Cybertron's moons. Revelations Part 4 The civil war was actually constructed by the newly reborn Unicron, who wished to kill Skyfall and the likewise-important Landquake. Unicron attacked Sentinel Maximus, singling out the "Chosen of Primus," and Sentinel Maximus was unable to get the tinier Dark God off him. He cried for help from Omega Prime, who succeeded in blasting Unicron away from him. Revelations Part 5

While Sentinel Maximus was occupied, Skyfall and Landquake disappeared in a devastating explosion. Sentinel Maximus mourned Skyfall's apparent death and voiced an apology to Vector Prime. The war was ended immediately when Primus appeared in robot mode above them, causing Unicron to flee.

Months later, after the threat of the Unicron Singularity was removed and the war between the Autobots and Decepticons was ended, Sentinel Maximus and the rest of his crew met that universe's Optimus Prime and his troops. He learned of Vector Prime's death and told Override of Skyfall's demise. Revelations Part 6 It is not known whether Sentinel Maximus accompanied Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime on his mission to find Unicron or was returned to his own universe.
Notes
* Sentinel Maximus went through several names before he saw release, the most notable being "Vector Prime." Hasbro rejected the name because they didn't want to dilute the concept of Primes, but later used it themselves for Cybertron Vector Prime anyway.
* Despite Sentinel Maximus's name change, his shipping carts still said "Vector Prime" on them.
* Early on, Sentinel Maximus was to come with translucent redecos of the Cyberjet molds, meant to represent three sparks trapped inside the Divine Light for whom he downloaded digital bodies into reality. Instead, Hasbro decided to use those molds themselves for Universe.

* Sentinel Maximus's paint mock-up featured the Wreckers faction symbol (the Autobot symbol with a hammer for its forehead) tampoed on his shoulder and the inside of his right arm (seen to the right). The production piece mistakenly had normal Autobot symbols instead. Additionally, his bigger head was originally sculpted to be much wider (also seen to the right), and feature Prime-like antenna, but these didn't fit well during transformation, so his head was narrowed to eliminate the antenna.
* Due to 3H Productions' loss of the convention license, Hasbro mailed out the Sentinel Maximus toys to their owners, using old mailing lists that had many outdated addresses. Some buyers never got theirs at all.
* Because of 3H's then-recent dissolution, Hasbro recreated an entire new packaging design, box art, and profile, presumably to avoid a potential legal battle. The packaging bio avoids mentioning details of 3H's Wreckers story, neglecting to note Primal Prime and Apelinq's union, and referencing Cryotek vaguely by describing a battle with a "diabolical and long-forgotten entity from the polar regions of Cybertron." Instead, Sentinel Maximus is described as a herald of Primus who emerges from the "shadows of Time to serve as a guardian over Cybertron during its darkest hour."
* Furthermore, instead of the intended name "Hyperlinq" for the Mini-Con, "Ape-Linq" is used on Sentinel Maximus's packaging, possibly because the trademark for the former had not yet been secured. Curiously, there are no trademarks claimed, registered or otherwise, next to Sentinel Maximus's name anywhere on the box. Trademark is claimed for Sentinel Maximus on the photocopied set of instructions included inside.
* Sentinel Maximus pretty much fails at everything he attempts to do.
A Herald of Unicron, Nemesis Prime is a dark clone of an Optimus Prime from another dimension who was left for dead by Megazarak to rot on the shores of the Rust Sea.

The Prime was cloned by Unicron and awoke slowly to the dark god's torture. Completely broken, this Prime is an eternal servant and begs for the consuming nothing of Unicron's victory over the multiverse. Anything is preferable to the flood of infinite suffering that is his existence.

His only weakness is what tiny, rotten portion is left of his honor. He carries the Dead Matrix within him, possibly the only thing that can kill Unicron's enemy, Primus.
Nemesis Prime and Ramjet arrived via dimensional portal over an abandoned Cybertron threatened by the Unicron Singularity. Quickly, they attempted to amass followers to aid them in their attempt to unleash Nemesis Prime's Dead Matrix on Primus's essence, allowing their master Unicron a posthumous victory.

Their first stop was Maccadam's Old Oil House, where they found a pair of Decepticons, Jackhammer and Crush Groove. When the pair were unwilling to join them, Nemesis and Ramjet quickly dispatched them. Nemesis realized what was left of Cybertron's inhabitants were useless to them, and so Ramjet suggested they pay a visit to Alpha Trion themselves.

Alpha Trion, deep within Cybertron with Vector Sigma, was flanked by Vector Prime and Sentinel Maximus. Ramjet kept Vector Prime busy, and Sentinel Maximus was unable to prevent Nemesis Prime from grabbing Alpha Trion by the head and slamming him into Vector Sigma. After a blast from Ramjet, Alpha Trion and Vector Sigma both lay in ruins, and the two servants of Unicron made their escape. Balancing Act (issue)
Standing on the corpses of more destroyed Transformers, Nemesis Prime and Ramjet enlisted Scrapmetal drones to interface with the planet's computer systems to find Primus' spark core chamber. Balancing Act, Part 2 After Ramjet enlisted the Velocitronian, Skyfall, with promises of telling of him about his forgotten past, Balancing Act, Part 3 Nemesis Prime's search for the location of Primus' essence was finally complete. They found Downshift guarding it, and Nemesis pinned him to the wall with one of his hip-harpoons. But Downshift had alerted Vector Prime and Sentinel Maximus, and the two Autobots arrived quickly to prevent them from reaching Primus' spark. Balancing Act, Part 4
Nemesis Prime found himself facing Sentinel Maximus again, and they battled each other while traveling down the hallway leading to the spark core chamber. Unfortunately for Sentinel, Nemesis was able to blast the tunnel behind him, leaving Sentinel alone with Primus' spark core. Wasting no time, Nemesis Prime revealed the Dark Matrix from his chest compartment, and its evil energies began filling the room. Balancing Act, Pt 5

However, Nemesis Prime was defeated by Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus, who were teleported to this Cybertron en route from the end of the Universe war. Revelations Part 1 Nemesis Prime suffered heavy damage at the hands of Ultra Magnus and was sealed away inside an energon damping cell, while the Dead Matrix was locked away in the Archives. Revelations Part 2
Nine hundred thousand years after Nemesis Prime was defeated in battle by the Autobots, he was inducted into the Alternity, a race of highly-evolved Transformers who can travel the multiverse at will, healing his damaged mind with the enlightenment that this new state of being conferred. His "Vector - 704" Auto-avatar, a black Nissan GT-R, allows him to blend in on modern-day Earth, where he aids the Alternity in their mission. After Megatron gained powers equal to those of the Alternity by bonding himself to the hyper-dimensional beast known as Hytherion, Nemesis Prime battled one of the villains' Auto-avatars in a barren, burning landscape. Exploiting Megatron's unfamiliarity with higher-dimensional combat, Nemesis Prime easily trapped the Decepticon within a closed time-loop, where he was repeatedly struck by the same laser blast over and over again, until he was reduced to scrap. Following the battle, Nemesis Prime was approached by Protector Elita Seven, who had been observing the fight and took issue with Prime's brutal methods. When she addressed him as a "deity", he told her to call him "Knight of Darkness" instead. Arch-Nemesis!
