An adaptation of the summer blockbuster of 2009.

Synopsis
Under threat of physical harm, Wheelie reveals to Mikaela Banes that he recognizes the Cyberglyphics but does not know how to read them. He went on to say that Seekers would be able to read them, then leads them to the Smithsonian Institute where one can be found. While Sam Witwicky, Mikaela, Leo Spitz, and Seymour Simmons search the museum, the All Spark fragment Sam was carrying jumps from his hand and attaches itself to a SR-71 Blackbird on display. This rouses the Seeker from his slumber. He reveals his name to be Jetfire but does not remember what planet he is on or what he is doing there. He states his dislike of Decepticons and says that he had defected to the Autobots some time ago.

Jetfire displays no interest in dealing with the humans until Sam mentions The Fallen. This seems to jog his memory and he becomes suddenly serious and insists that Sam tell him what he knows. Sam then reveals the Cyberglyphics that have been racing through his head. When he hears enough, Jetfire transports himself, the four humans, Bumblebee, Skids, and Mudflap to Egypt via trans-dimensional space bridge. The humans don't know why Jetfire needed to go to Egypt so they ask him to explain. Jetfire then holo-projects some of the relevant historical footage to explain.

:The All Spark created the Dynasty of Primes for the protection of Cybertron. The Matrix of Leadership was also created as a key to the harvesters and entrusted to the Primes. The Primes were not to harvest the power of a sun from a star system with life. The Fallen defied that rule and destroyed all but one of his fellow Primes. The last of the twelve created a tomb from the chassis of his deactivated brothers. He sealed himself and the Matrix inside using the last of his own life essence. The tomb is hidden somewhere in Egypt.

Jetfire also reveals that only a Prime can stand against The Fallen. While the wars on Cybertron destroyed the Prime Dynasty, one orphan was left with no knowledge of his history. Optimus Prime.

In New Jersey, Director Galloway informs William Lennox and Ray Epps that, by order of the President, the Autobots have to stand down and return to Diego Garcia.

Back in Cairo, Egypt, the humans ride in Bumblebee trying to figure out the clues to the location of the Prime crypt that were obtained when Jetfire translated the Cyberglyphics. Local authorities spot Sam and try to detain him. Bumblebee and the Twins lose the police, but not before Soundwave is able to pinpoint Sam's location from intercepted communications.

Sam decided he needs to get a message to Lennox and Epps, but knows that calling them directly would give himself away, so he comes up with a plan to deliver the message indirectly. He gives the message to William Lennox's wife Sarah who then tells Ray Epps's wife Monique who then calls her husband on an insecure line. While she makes the call appear to be about ordinary husband and wife chit-chat, Monique is able to get the true message through. Sam wants them to deliver Optimus Prime to Egypt.

The clues from the Cyberglyphs lead Sam and the others to an ancient tomb of human origin. This appears to be a dead-end until the Twins get into an argument that becomes physical. Mudflap shoves Skids into a wall which crumbles, revealing the tomb of the Primes. They find the remains of the Matrix of Leadership. After thousands of years, the Cybertronian artifact turns to dust, which Sam collects in his sock.

Lennox, Epps, Galloway and the Autobots arrive in C-17s. The pilot feigns engine trouble as an excuse to jettison the cargo over Galloway's objections. The Autobots and humans aboard parachute out of the plane. Sam and company are then attacked by Megatron and Starscream while at least 11 cometary Decepticons rain down into the action. Human communications are disrupted by an EMP burst from the Decepticons while Soundwave alters satellite imagery so that the United States military will not see anything out of the ordinary happening in Egypt.

While Simmons, Bumblebee, and the Twins draw the Decepticons' fire, Sam and Mikaela try to get to Optimus Prime in hopes that the Matrix of Leadership dust could still revive him. Starscream is in pursuit of Sam and Mikaela when The Fallen appears atop a pyramid (via Space Bridge).
Quotes
Errors
*On page 10, Mudflap is slightly miscolored, with a lot more black parts in vehicle mode than he should have.
*The Egyptian police cars on pages 10-13 sport a generic American police car deco. Police cars in Cairo are entirely black, with blue police lights.
*On page 11, the police car in the first panel has the blue police light on the left and the red light on the right... even though it's seen in Bumblebee's rear view mirror and should therefore have the lights swapped. Also Mikaela's speech bubble is directed at Sam.
*On page 15, when sam is explaining the three kings, he should say "then-the pyramids", instead of "them-the pyramids".
*The spy satellite Admiral Morshower gets his live feed of the battle in Egypt from is somehow capable of gathering images almost from a ground level.
*All of the humans (except Epps and Mikaela) have longer hair in this one issue due to the artist change.

Items of note
*As Jetfire's dialogue shows, Furman appears to have problems adapting the movie-style humor into comic book dialogue. It appears like it's intended to come across as funny, it just doesn't really work.
* Two of the Decepticons on page 8 sport the color schemes of Generation 1 Banzai-Tron and Bludgeon.
*Megatron can still turn into a Cybertronian jet.
*At least eleven incoming comet Decepticons enter the battle.
*Simmons' nicknames for Skids and Mudflap, "Huey and Dewey", have made it into the adaptation, one of very, very few of the movie's humorous elements to do so.
*The cover image of combined Jetfire and Optimus beating up Starscream never happens.
*On page 7 Jetfire states that The Fallen killed all of his "brother Primes". "Brother Primes" must refer to only the original Primes since on the next page Jetfire states that the Prime Dynasty was destroyed in a subsequent war on Cybertron, where all of the rest of the Primes were slaughtered except one orphan.

Differences with the movie
*Wheelie's speech is imperfect in a G1 Dinobots kind of way, whereas in the movie, he merely talks with a Brooklyn accent.
*Wheelie disappears a lot earlier than in the movie, right after Jetfire transforms. As a consequence, he never defects to the Autobots.
*In the film, six Primes to create the Tomb of the Primes. Here, 11 Primes have already been killed by The Fallen, and the 12th creates the tomb from their bodies, killing only himself to seal it up.
*The Autobots are walking onto the cargo plane in robot mode rather than being loaded onto it in vehicle mode.
* Jolt doesn't appear, due to being a last-minute addition to the film.
*Instead of Simmons calling Lennox, Sam calls Lennox's wife. She and Epps' wife then call their husbands and give them a very poorly disguised hidden message. In the movie, the wives are never seen.
*The fight between Skids and Mudflap inside Petra is the only time they fight in the adaptation. In fact, it's one of the very few instances where the two have any dialogue.
*Galloway is still talking after he has been thrown off the plane. Gotta love those comic book standards.
*Admiral Morshower is monitoring the battle in Egypt via a satellite feed (with the feed coming from a camera that somehow manages to take images almost from a ground level), rather than sending Predator drones.
*Scavenger and Overload are shown in robot mode, instead of only appearing in vehicle mode.
*The Fallen teleports himself directly to the top of the pyramid, making this the first scene in the adaptation where he is seen outside his sarcophagus.

:Demolishor is a Decepticon from the Revenge of the Fallen franchise in the live-action film continuity family.

The gigantic Demolishor may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's smart enough to know when to fight openly and when to stick to the shadows. One of the Constructicons, Demolishor arrived on Earth to find Megatron dead, so he went into hiding, gathering other Decepticons who needed a big, blunt instrument to cower behind. Now in charge of this little band, he awaits the day when a new Decepticon leader will rise.

IDW Transformers movie comics
Wheelbot

In the distant past, the All Spark Cube created a race of powerful, trans-dimensional beings as the first inhabitants of Cybertron. The Cube gave these beings mighty powers, as well as terraforming their world, but it was not limitless, and gradually became depleted. The first beings learned that the All Spark's power could be replenished by harvesting the energy of stars, but they were unable to locate new stars to suit their purposes, despite their amazing ability to travel between dimensions. Once again, the Cube came to the rescue, creating a race of workers, who had the ability to change their shape.

Demolishor (or a Transformer who shared his body-type) was among the very first of these new beings, one of several "builders" who would construct a harvester when a suitable sun had been found. Once built, the device would drain the energy of these stars, thus replenishing the All Spark. Defiance issue 4 It is assumed that at some point during the civil war on Cybertron, he sided with Megatron, the new protege of Demolishor's only surviving ancient master, The Fallen.

During the war on Cybertron, Demolishor was used as a shock trooper, sowing terror amongst settlements of displaced Autobots. At one of his massacres there was a survivor, the Autobot Sideswipe.

Demolishor's modus operandi continued when he arrived on Earth, wreaking havoc in human cities, literally daring the Autobots to stop him so that, once baited, he could slaughter the Autobot forces. This caught the attention of Sideswipe, whom Demolishor had assumed was already dead. Delighting in the return of his old playmate, the Decepticon led Sideswipe on a destructive chase through Montevideo, Uruguay. Ultimately he was driven to ground again by the arrival of Optimus Prime and the human-Autobot NEST team. Tales of the Fallen issue 2

He was later detected in Shanghai, China, prompting NEST to mobilize once again. Alliance issue 4
NEST arrived in Shanghai with a cover story from the Chinese government that there was a chemical spill in the area. Major Lennox and his men followed a radiation blip to a construction site where a massive excavator stood. Suddenly, the excavator transformed and revealed itself to be Demolishor! In fury, he smashed his arms on the ground, flinging concrete pipes onto approaching NEST troopers, crushing them, before rolling away. NEST's firepower availed them little as Demolishor shrugged off their attacks and smashed his way to the nearby freeway. Most of the Autobots were soon deployed to deal with his running comrade Sideways, leaving NEST with only Ironhide to deal with the massive Constructicon. Overhead, a C-17 Globemaster III circled, dropping the most powerful Autobot onto the battle field: Optimus Prime had entered the game.

As Demolishor rolled along the freeway, crushing cars, destroying barriers and casually tossing nearby cars to their doom, Optimus intercepted him at an overpass and leaped onto his head as the Decepticon reduced the overpass to rubble. Demolishor declined Optimus' demand for him to "pull over" forcing the Autobot leader to fire his Ion blaster into the former's head, soon followed by Ironhide jumping on and shooting out his massive tires. The crippled Decepticon crashed into a warehouse district and was helpless as Optimus Prime, Ironhide, and the rest of the NEST soldiers advanced.

Standing before the "Punk-ass Decepticon" as Ironhide dubbed him, Optimus inquired if there were any last words he wished to convey. In defiance, Demolishor declared with his dying breath that they were too late, and that The Fallen would rise again. Optimus Prime replied in the negative and shot him through the optic, executing him. Revenge of the Fallen (film)
One short fight later, Demolishor was beaten, but not before he could tell the Autobots that their victory would be short-lived, and the Fallen would rise again.
He is almost impossible to stand up—let alone pose—but it can be managed.

:In the film, Demolishor's vehicle mode features a lot more white. This toy's colors are actually a match to Scavenger's colors.

:Like several Revenge of the Fallen toys, such as Voyager class Starscream and Leader class Optimus Prime, Demolishor is yet another victim of late mold changes due to 2008-2009 economic problems. On the back of the box, his treads are pictured as being made of several individual, linked plastic sections. The sections were apparently recast as a single rubber tread ring instead for the final toy.

:Also, in the instructions it states that the wheel on a ratchet joint should go down, but by flipping the wheels around, you can use the free-wheeling wheel to roll him.
Notes
*Demolishor is identical in design and vehicle form to Scavenger. In the film itself, Demolishor is mostly white with red striping and signage, but in other places his coloration matches Scavenger, such as his toy, his Robot Heroes figure, and in his appearances in the video game and the comic adaptation. Repurposing is quite fitting, if one so chooses.

*In the comic adaptation, Demolishor's alternate mode is a different model of steam shovel. It is a smaller model that could more realistically hide out in a big city than the very large mining excavator of the toy and movie.

* Okay, what's a giant mining excavator doing anywhere near a steel mill, exactly? Isn't that like having an amphibious vehicle in the Rocky Mountains?

*Though likely as vicious as every other Decepticon shown in the movie continuity, Demolishor's demise could be viewed as a rather unfortunate moral grey area on the Autobots' part. Technically he was just hiding and did not attack until his discovery was imminent. To make matters worse his toy bio, while far from flattering, seems to imply that he "takes care of smaller frightened Decepticons out of the goodness of his spark". To top things off, his completely accurate statement that Earth was not the Autobots' to rule never actually implies that it is the Decepticons' either. Again, probably a monstrous mechanical bully... but still slightly unsettling. Tales of the Fallen #2 somewhat retroactively justifies Demolishor's execution, painting him as a Decepticon that revels in creating collateral damage and one that is responsible for several Autobot massacres in the past.

*During the production of Revenge of the Fallen, the as-yet-unnamed Demolishor was referred to with the simple if descriptive moniker of "Wheelbot". Although Hasbro went on to provide a proper name for the character, Demolishor still wound up being listed as "Wheelbot" in the credits of the film itself.
