Michael York-Johnson (born March 27, 1942) is a British actor. York has had a successful and prolific career as a Shakespearean stage actor...and is probably best known for his role as Basil Exposition from the Austin Powers films, or as that guy from Logan's Run.
The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Autobots and Decepticons video games were developed by Vicarious Visions for Activision, in conjunction with the Revenge of the Fallen movie.

Gameplay
Like the DS games produced to tie in with the first live-action Transformers movie, the Nintendo DS incarnation of Revenge of the Fallen is divided into two separately-sold games, one for each of the two factions. The two games, however, are a lot less distinct from one another than the original movie games were: where those games featured unique levels and differing objectives, the Revenge of the Fallen games both feature the same basic goals, taking place over the same levels. Generally speaking, the games have little to actually do with the story of the film, simply depicting both factions hopping around the world, carrying out random acts of heroism or terrorism, occasionally visiting a significant location from the movie storyline (Shanghai, the Laurentian Abyss) before things culminate in a big fight in Cairo.

The player's hub is a two-dimensional world map, from which they select the mission they wish to play. Levels are presented in groups of three, and once each "mission" is completed, a secondary "challenge" objective is then unlocked in each level. Once these challenges are completed, the next chain of levels is unlocked, and thus the game continues. Completing both the "mission" and "challenge" from each level earns the player a bronze medal; each completed level can then be re-entered at the player's discretion, and both the "mission" and the "challenge" can be replayed, this time with an additional handicap (such as completing the level with the player's stats halved, or accomplishing an objective within a certain time limit). Completing one earns the player a silver medal, and completing both and thereby finishing the entire level gains you a gold medal.

Sadly, the games discard the two most enjoyable aspects of the original movie games: large, free-roaming environments, and the ability to scan ambient vehicles and change alternate mode at will. At the beginning of the game, the player's protoform character is given the option to choose which of three vehicle forms it will adopt ("light," weak but fast, "medium", balanced speed and strength, and "heavy", strong but slow), and retains this form for the entire game. Replacing this gameplay mechanic is the "Medical Bay," a new system which allows players to heavily customize their character. When enemies die, they drop energon cubes, which the player can spend to upgrade their stats (strength, speed, durability, marksmanship, etc). Additionally, each "mission" level includes several hidden bonus items, which, when found by the player, unlock new weapons and other items which provide various effects when equipped. For instance, a less powerful weapon may offer as a bonus "perfect aim", whereas a stronger gun may only be functional at short range. In addition to customary lasers and rockets, players will also get the chance to lob grenades and even wield a freeze-ray that immobilizes enemies. The other items players can acquire are "capacitors" and "nodes", which apply bonuses to player's stats; for example, boosting strength at the cost of speed. Two weapons and four capacitors and/or nodes can be equipped at once; several weapons and gadgets are only unlocked by playing the game online.

Synopsis
*Autobots Version
When Create-A-Bot landed on earth, Optimus sends him to training by the caves and kills his Decepticon counterpart in the process. He then goes to a series of missions. Meanwhile Bumblebee defeats a wide array of Decepticons and then he races with Sideswipe. Breakaway then does some training while helping Bumblebee. Create-A-Bot then goes to Italy to assist the Autobot Drone (Who looks like Inferno) in his mission. Create-A-Bot then has a battle with Grindor who gets killed by his own jets. The Autobots then go to Asia where Ironhide activates multiple shields in japan with Create-A-Bot. Meanwhile Sideswipe and Bumblebee collects scattered Energon while killing Decepticons on the way. Create-A-Bot then encounters multiple bombs at the Docks planted by Sideways but his plan is foiled and Sideways gets killed by his own Bombs. While in America and NEST grounds, Decepticons attacks all but is stopped by Optimus, Create-A-Bot, Bumblebee and Sideswipe. Create-A-Bot then goes to a part in America to save Jetfire from Starscream. After saving Jetfire, he helps the Autobots. The team goes to Egypt to face The Fallen. Devastator opens the top of the pyramid and Optimus Prime and Jetfire fights The Fallen off-screen. Create-A-Bot then goes into a quick sand area where Scorponok then tries to kill the bot but is ignored and goes to Megatron who is killed by Create-A-Bot and the Sun-Harvester. Back to Optimus he says about his victory and has killed The Fallen.

*Decepticons Version
When Construct-A-Con landed on earth, Starscream sends him to training by the caves and kills his Autobot counterpart in the process. He then goes to a series of missions. Meanwhile Sideways defeats a wide array of Autobots and then he races with Barricade. Starscream then does some training while helping Grindor. Construct-A-Con then goes to Italy to destroy many Autobot and Nest troops but Bumblebee stops him and the two battle until Bumblebee is killed accidentally by his own Jets. The Decepticons then go to Asia where Barricade and Sideways cause chaos while taking energon with Contruct-A-Con. Starscream, Grindor and Construct-A-Con then goes to Deep-6 to revive Megatron. With Megatron revive they cause chaos in the NEST base and Construct-A-Con steals enemy information from multiple satellites. Construct-A-Con then goes to a part in America to kidnap Jetfire from Ironhide. After kidnapping Jetfire, he is forced to help the Decepticons. The team goes to Egypt to help The Fallen. Devastator opens the top of the pyramid and Megatron, Fallen and Starscream is pleased for you bringing the Matrix. Contruct-A-Con then goes into a quick sand area where Nest Troops then tries to kill the bot but is ignored and goes to Optimus Prime who is killed by Construct-A-Con and the Sun-Harvester. Back to Fallen, he then makes you leader replacing Megatron.
*Most of the SFX from the old game are re-used for this one (i.e. Create-a-bot's and Starscream's grunts when they jump or attack).
Transformers The Game for the Nintendo DS portable console was developed by Vicarious Visions for Activision, in conjunction with the 2007 live-action Transformers movie.

Gameplay overview
It consists of two separate games: Transformers Autobots and Transformers Decepticons. The games have different storylines and environments, but the basic gameplay elements are shared between them.

In both games, the player creates a character who can scan many different transforming forms. Each game features missions involving this character as well as missions focused on the movie cast.

Unlike most versions of Transformers The Game, the DS version has multiplayer ability. The game features the Wars online challenges, which allow the player to compete against other players for points to unlock more vehicle modes.

Also, in both games, Bumblebee remains the rusty '70s Camaro throughout the game, yet his character art during the talking scenes depicts him with the chest based on the Concept Camaro, which he never scans in game.

Autobots
This game revolves around the Autobots and their attempts at preventing the destruction of Earth and the resurrection of Lord Megatron, the former military leader of Cybertron. After the battle of Tyger Pax, Create-A-Bot arrives on Earth, landing in the Las Vegas casino strip. After a quick run-down with Ironhide, he teams up with his fellow Autobots to retrieve the All Spark, searching the quiet (and appropriately named) city of Tranquility, but later heading to the Hoover Dam and even going as far as the Arctic to find the frozen remains of Megatron. All the while, Create-A-Bot must learn what it truly means to be an Autobot.
Decepticons
Similar in setting but unique in portrayal is the flip side of the story, Decepticons. Here, a nearly identical robot has come to Earth at the command of Starscream to find the source of a distress signal from a "lost" Decepticon somewhere in the area. However, Starscream keeps many important pieces of information to himself, including the location of the All Spark and the identity of the Transformer locked in the icy grip of the Arctic. While this Create-A-Bot has to learn that being a Decepticon means loyalty to Megatron, it also becomes apparent that though they fight for different reasons, the Autobots and Decepticons are aiming for the same goal, namely peace on Cybertron, and also that their senses of honor are not that far apart.

This game is also unique in that the Arctic level is replaced with Qatar, and that this Create-A-Bot is almost immediately put into a position of authority, mainly because Starscream wants everyone dead.
*Tag Team - Blackout carries Barricade to get into the base. Barricade then must find the control room.
*Megatron's Return - Create-A-Bot must protect Megatron from Sector Seven and later Autobots as Megatron is revived.
*Get the Chip - Blackout must obtain Megatron's weapon chip from fleeing Sector Seven convoys.
*Ambush - Megatron takes out turrets and Autobot drones. Jazz comes and brawls with Megatron, but is killed.

Tranquility 3rd Visit
After chasing Starscream again, 5 Autobot drones show up and Starscream escapes while Create-A-Bot must destroy the drones. Meanwhile, Megatron duels his brother, Optimus Prime. Optimus is killed. Shockingly, he is not the last boss.

Casino Strip 2nd Visit
*Final Showdown - Create-A-Bot weakens Starscream, who drops the All Spark. Create-A-Bot then slams it on Starscream, mortally injuring himself but not wounding Starscream at all. Megatron chases down Starscream, battling him at three rotating positions all over the map. Starscream dies, and Megatron eats the not-quite-dead Create-A-Bot's spark. Poor kid.

Reception
Although still scoring fairly low, the two versions of the game got generally better reviews than their other counterparts. Autobots currently has a 67 on Metacritic, while Decepticons only has 66. Reviewers were turned off by the poor graphics and number of glitches when compared to the console versions, but praised the open-world gameplay and ability to transform at any time. Because, you know, this is a game about Transformers.
Transformers The Game is a series of computer and video-game console games published by Activision in conjunction with the 2007 live-action Transformers film.

The online multiplayer game Battle for the Allspark is essentially an elaborate ad campaign for Transformers The Game... most versions of which do not support multiplayer action (bummer.)

Versions
"Console"
The "main" version of the game is available in the following formats:

* Nintendo Wii
* PlayStation 2
* PlayStation 3
* Xbox 360
* PC DVD-ROM

PlayStation Portable
The Playstation Portable version of the game game deviates from the movie plot, focusing more on background characters not seen in the movie, including Thundercracker, Shockwave (not a triple changer here. He's after Megatron's drone army rather then the AllSpark), Hound (a tech specialist) and Trailbreaker (voiced by Steve Blum).

Upon beating the game, several characters are unlocked for online play, including Wheeljack and Sideswipe among others.

Nintendo DS
There are actually two games for the DS, Transformers Autobots and Transformers Decepticons. The games have different storylines and environments, but the basic gameplay elements are shared between them. However, the similarities between the two end at altmodes and environments. While Autobots very loosely follows the movie story, Decepticons offers a much more unique twist, focusing on the Decepticons and their attempts at resurrecting Megatron.

Autobots
As mentioned, this game revolves around the Autobots and their attempts at preventing the destruction of Earth and the resurrection of Lord Megatron, the former military leader of Cybertron.

However, Starscream keeps many important pieces of information to himself, including the location of the AllSpark and the identity of the Transformer locked in the icy grip of the Arctic. While this Create-A-Bot has to learn that being a Decepticon means loyalty to Megatron, it also becomes apparent that though they fight for different reasons, the Autobots and Decepticons are aiming for the same goal, namely peace on Cybertron, and also that their senses of honor are not that far off.
