His out-of-tune rendition of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" got all the Decepticons arguing until Megatron entered, which prompted Blitzwing to fall silent with the rest. Blitzwing believed Lugnut was only listening to voices in his head, and had to be forcibly taken along with Lugnut. The pair of them scanned earth vehicles for disguises. Blitzwing's calculating persona wanted to scan a fighter jet, while his aggressive side wanted a tank. After arguing for some time, his crazy side won the argument, and scanned both.

The pair followed the Autobots to [[Lake Erie]], Blitzwing froze the lake, and when the Autobots submerged followed them in tank form. Although there are many other female Autobots, Arcee appears to be the only one to hold any sort of rank or position amongst the forces found in Autobot City. She seems to share the same basic design as the medical bots on the planet of [[Paradron (planet)|Paradron]]. During the assault on Autobot City she was instrumental in helping [[Springer (G1)|Springer]] transform Autobot City to repel the [[Decepticon]] invaders, buying precious time for reinforcements and likely saving many lives. She was among the few Autobots to survive [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron's]] savage blitz on the city, and was nearly left behind when [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]] forced the Autobots to evacuate.

Arcee survived the attack, and the crash landing on the planet [[Junk|Junk]], all the while going to great lengths in order to protect and care for young [[Daniel Witwicky]], a human friend of [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod's]] who had wound up on the shuttle with her. Throughout the entire battle with [[Unicron]], Daniel's safety was Arcee's top priority. At one point, she wanted to go with [[Hot Rod (G1)|Rodimus Prime]], [[Blurr (G1)|Blurr]] and [[Kup]] to search for a new homeworld after Cybertron blew up, but Rodimus told her to stay because she's a girl, and girls can't do anything but stand around, worry, and make coffee for the men. During a party shortly afterward, she slow-danced with [[Chromedome]], and the pair had ''something'' resembling a mutual attraction. (At one point, Chromedome becomes aroused at seeing her transformation from a car.)

Arcee was constructed by the Autobots in an alternate future 1995 as a good-will attempt to placate angry humans who thought that they were "sexist" for having no women in their group. After trying multiple times to explain that Autobots, being robots, had no gender, [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] surrendered and ordered [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]] and [[Ratchet (G1)|Ratchet]] to make a new Autobot who would meet the humans' demands for sexual equality. However, when Arcee was unveiled at a public ceremony, her pink, skinny, pink, curvacious, and pink form enraged the very audience Prime intended to placate. [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]], [[Horri-Bull]], [[Fangry]] and [[Squeezeplay]] who immediately attacked, looking to crush the "secret weapon" that was promised. Prime warned Arcee to stay back, lest she get hurt in battle, but the female Autobot, rightfully annoyed at the Autobots' lack of faith in her equal ability, singlehandedly forced the Decepticons into a retreat. Arcee and Hot Rod became quite friendly, but with his ascension to Prime status in 2006, they began to drift apart. She was stationed at [[Autobot City]] on Earth and got bored by her duties. The [[Quintessons]] attacked in 2008, stringing out the city's population to the wall and using a wounded Arcee as bait to attract Rodimus; when he tried to use the Matrix to heal her, they stole it and he reverted to Hot Rod. On New Year's Day 2009, she was part of Rodimus' team in the time-jump to 1989 during the [[Time Wars]] and helped take down Galvatron. She's also the first ever transsexual transformer, having her "fundamental C.N.A" forcibly altered by Jhiaxus, who then abandoned her for not living up to his standards. Might explain the angst.

During a battle against a horde of killer [[Nightbird]]s, Daniel and Wheelie sacrificed their lives to end the threat. The death of Daniel took a serious toll on Arcee's personality, turning her into a depressed and brooding stereotype. A ''pink'' one. She can foresee other characters' imminent deaths, except when she can't.

After Megatron's takeover of Cybertron, [[Primal Prime]] and Rodimus met up with Arcee within some Cybertronian caverns. Still upset over the death of Daniel, Arcee initially refused to join the Wreckers when asked by Rodimus and Primal Prime. [[Fractyl]] was soon ambushed by [[Quake]] and [[Blastcharge]], nearly killing him. Refusing to lose another, Arcee used her spark to save Fractyl, also reformatting him into a Transmetal body. ==Synopsis==

An enraged Arcee has been tearing a path of destruction through the universe, necessitating Ultra Magnus to hunt her down and bring her in as authorized by the [[Tyrest Accord]]. After a protracted battle she gets knocked out by a flash/concussion grenade and taken in by Magnus; as they leave the area a couple of apparent drones surface and talk to a monitor {{m-}} promising that the [[Nega-core]] has not been detected and/or taken, which elicits a confirmation from their [[Jhiaxus|red-helmeted, gold-shouldered master]] that preparations for the Expansion will continue.

[[Garrus-9]] penitentiary: Arcee's [[spark]] is being held in a cell, along with notable others. Apparent warden Fortress Maximus confers with Jetfire and the Technobots about when they can incarcerate the Monstructor components that same way; Jetfire notes that they can't break through the destructive programming far enough to rehabilitate/reform the sparks [as per [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]]'s orders], and as such haven't pulled the sparks from the frames. As they confer, the [[Decepticon]] Onslaught leads his Combaticons in a perfectly-timed (as monitored by Banzaitron)] assault on the facility, striking at precisely the right grid-sensor-shuffling moment... breaking into the penitentiary.

Fortress Maximus has no choice but to unleash the threat-level-9 Arcee on them with the sole caveat of destroying her spark (via a spark casing g-force crush) if she attempts to escape. A furious battle ensues, but after she cuts through [[Blast Off]] and plows through [[Brawl (G1)|Brawl]] in vehicle mode, the Combaticons (who recognized her when she first attacked) manage to teleport out with the unconscious Monstructor cons (whom Banzaitron wants to have join his Secret Service).

Arcee proposes that she be released to hunt them down, commenting that "you don't even know you're DOING it" when Maximus calls her a "she"... "because you unconsciously see a difference." She then reveals that [[Jhiaxus]] tampered with her [[CNA]] at creation, turning her into a female, "because he could," then discarded her and left her to her fate, until the present, when all she can think of is wiping out all trace of his tampering in this Universe.

Maximus disagrees, pointing the remote spark-casing-control unit at her, but Jetfire tells him to let her go (he'll back up whatever story Maximus concocts for her escape), as they have precious little to lose at this point.

* Arcee is supposed to be the only female Transformer. And yet in [[Megatron_Origin_issue_2|Megatron: Origin #2]] there is a small cameo of [[Elita_One]] (or perhaps Ariel) in the funeral for [[Bumper (G1)|Bumper]] and [[Fastback]] from back in ancient Cybertron, and is decidedly NOT-insane.
