the planet from Cybertron

:Jungle Planet is a planet in the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Jungle Planet is the simply and beautifully appropriate name for a lush and violent world covered in dense wilderness. Its surface is wrapped in tangled webs of foliage, some of it allegedly techno-organic, and vast, little travelled oceans. The light of day is harsh and scorching; the rains are torrential downpours. Volcanoes rise above the green canopy, usually slumbering in smoky menace, sometimes bursting forth with firestorms of destruction.

Within the shadows of the enveloping jungle, strange beasts prowl; but not all these are of flesh and blood, for in ancient times the Jungle Planet became home to strange beings. They emigrated from the planet Cybertron; they were Transformers, and quickly altered their forms to suit their new home. They prowl the Jungle Planet, and dwell in its caves and rough structures; robotic beasts of fearsome power.

Only the mightiest may rule this planet, where strength and teeth are the only laws. At the time of the hunt for the Cyber Planet Keys, this was the great and terrible Scourge, a ruthless despot who feared none but himself.

Notable areas of the Jungle Planet include...

* The Jungle Temple, home of the planet's leader. In reality, it is the starship Hyperborea.
* The Steel Shard Mountains and its surrounding swampland.
:Scorponok is a Terrorcon in the Enegron and Cybertron portions of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Scorponok's origin differs greatly depending on which dimension of the multiverse you are speaking of. What doesn't change however is the fact that he's a massive and terrifying sight on the battlefield, and a vicious military leader in league with the mysterious Alpha Quintesson.

Fiction
Dreamwave comics continuity
Energon
Scorponok was a powerful Decepticon warrior who aided Megatron in his war of conquest on Cybertron. Later, after Unicron's arrival and subsequent defeat, he pledged himself to the Alpha Quintesson in exchange for incredible power and became leader of the Terrorcons. He had Starscream killed in a fit of pique, and led the Terrorcons to Earth to attack Alter-Energy installations and drain the planet of its natural energon. However, the newly-enhanced Autobot forces foiled his plans, and agents of Alpha Quintesson retrieved him.

When Megatron returned, he decimated the Terrorcon drone ranks before finally facing Scorponok himself at a newly-constructed Autobot energon tower in the Yukon. After a brief but intense battle, Megatron ran Scorponok through the chest with his sword, destroying him.

Animated continuity
Energon
Scorponok was the Terrorcon general, created by Alpha Q to lead in Energon raids. He begrudgingly joined forces with Megatron after the Decepticon leader's revival.

Scorponok was Alpha Q's guardian on the former Planet Q, before detonating this planet in an attempt to destroy Unicron. When Alpha Q was resurrected in 2020, he brought Scorponok back online using a nameless Decepticon's spark to replace the one destroyed in the planet's explosion. After Megatron's return, he served Alpha Q in secret until an incident where Megatron finally destroyed him, then brought him back online with a Decepticon program protocol. The Autobot Ironhide feuded with this beastly Transformer until one final conflict, which left Scorponok mortally wounded. The fallen Decepticon admitted that he was not Megatron's slave, but that honor demanded loyalty toward he who gave him life, be he Megatron or Alpha Q.

Scorponok, dying, was able to carry Ironhide's damaged body from their battle ground, to Jungle Planet, when Optimus Prime needed to merge with Ironhide's and the other Autobots' sparks to meet the gargantuan Galvatron in battle. Scorponok died shortly afterwards. His final request was that Ironhide save their planets.

Fan Club Cybertron comics
After the opening of the Unicron Singularity, tears in the space-time continuum opened up randomly, dumping an undead Scorponok on Cybertron. His Unicronian frame was imbued with the essence of the dark god and Scorponok mindlessly sought out victims to consume for their Sparks. Dark Scorponok eventually located the travelling Skyfall, and was destroyed by his intense Energon ballistics shield.

(Note: The Key code info for Dark Scorponok says that at some point, he located the Jungle Planet and served Scourge as a bodyguard.)
