{{disambig3|Side Burn}}
:''Side Burn is an [[Autobot]] from the [[Robots in Disguise (franchise)|Robots in Disguise]] [[continuity family]].''

'''Side Burn''' is an adolescent speedster and turbo-revving young punk. His brain development has yet to catch up with his ego and robo-hormones, and if he gets bored or preoccupied he'll wander away from his assignment or get in the way of someone else's without a second thought. This is particularly annoying to his law-abiding brother [[Prowl (RID)|Prowl]] and the fussbudget Autobot computer known as [[T-AI]]. Even the more easygoing [[X-Brawn]] can grow tired of his antics. They're no fun anyway, and he can always outrun them. He can outrun just about everybody and everything except his own foolishness.

His greatest folly is his fixation on red cars. Transformer or not, sentient or not, he can't resist chasing after a pretty little thing of the red persuasion, proclaiming loudly and often his libidinous designs. This is usually a bad idea, and occasionally a ''very'' bad idea, like that one time the red car turned out to be [[Megatron (RID)|Megatron]] in drag. Yikes. His "super" redeco was red. It's best not to think about it.

Side Burn is a good talker as well as a good racer. He can tell a real tearjerker of a story if he's in the mood. Ask [[Slapper (RID)|Slapper]] about it some time.
[[Image:Battle Protocol Side Burn.jpg|left|200px|thumb|"That's one good synopsis of Battle Protocol, alright."]]
As usual, Side Burn was chasing a red sports car when Megatron attacked [[New York City]]. So engrossed was he that Prowl had to interrupt him to answer T-AI's summons to the [[Global Space Bridge]]. The three brothers reached New York where Side Burn commented that he'd forgotten how ugly the [[Predacon (RID)|Predacons]] were, and proceeded to see off [[Dark Scream]] with a missile. The battle ultimately ended with Megatron abducting [[Koji Onishi|Koji's]] father, [[Kenneth Onishi|Doctor Onishi]]. {{storylink|Battle Protocol!}}

The [[Autobot Brothers]] were later assigned to intercept the Predacons, who were prowling [[Metro City]] and stealing batteries from cars. Prowl again interrupted Side Burn's red sports car hunt to point out that he was supposed to be patrolling. The pair soon spotted [[Sky-Byte (RID)|Sky-Byte]] attacking the very sports car Side Burn had just been chasing and his heart was broken when the car was subsequently destroyed. {{storylink|An Explosive Situation}}

Assigned to protect the [[Linear RFG]] bullet train, the Autobot Brothers found themselves tangling with the Predacons, who were trying to blow up a rail bridge on the train's path. Ultimately they were unable to save the bridge, but the train was saved by [[Team Bullet Train]]. {{storylink|Bullet Train to the Rescue}} Together with [[Optimus Prime (RID)|Optimus Prime]], the brothers protected a [[Plutonium Energy Generator]] from the Predacons. They escorted the generator as it was transported across the city the next day, with Prowl becoming increasingly exasperated by Side Burn's endless complaining. They were brought to a halt by a traffic jam engineered by Slapper. Fortunately the [[Spy Changer]]s were able to lend a hand and the Autobot Brothers got to sit back and watch the Predacons' defeat. {{storylink|Spychangers to the Rescue}}

[[Image:Hunt for Black Pyramid Sideburnchicken.jpg|right|200px|thumb|Side Burn IS Spider-Man!]]
On another mission, Optimus joined the Autobot Brothers at the end of the Global Space Bridge, which was terminated some distance short of a ship under attack by Predacons. Side Burn was the first to attempt to jump out to the ship... but chickened out at the last moment. After Prowl and Optimus made their attempts, Side Burn hitched a ride with X-Brawn and provided protection while his older brother repaired the stricken ship. {{storylink|The Hunt for Black Pyramid}}

To help cheer Koji up, Side Burn took the boy on a visit to the [[Payuma ruins]]. The pair soon found themselves tangling with Sky-Byte, who was also exploring the ruins, and were forced to get higher in order to radio the other Autobots to alert them to the problem. Side Burn's brothers stopped Sky-Byte escaping with a box which turned out to contain [[Doctor Onishi's microchip]]. This held much valuable information and would help the Autobots greatly in the struggle to follow. {{storylink|The Secret of the Ruins}}

[[Image:Sideburn's Obsession Sideburngasskunkdarkscream.jpg|left|200px|thumb|Once Zed arrives, the party can begin.]]
The Predacons finally hatched a trap—Megatron disguised himself as a red sports car and lured Side Burn to a junk yard where the Autobot was captured and tied up by the other Predacons. Slapper asked him why he liked red sports cars, and he spun a tale of lost love when he was just a young tricycle. Unfortunately the kidnapping lured Optimus Prime to the car crushing plant where Side Burn was being held, and the Autobot leader was also captured. The pair were soon rescued by X-Brawn, Prowl and the Spy Changers, and fought off the Predacons. Though Side Burn announced he'd learnt his lesson, a few minutes later he was chasing another red sports car. {{storylink|Sideburn's Obsession}}

The brothers were assigned to protect "[[Grandpa]]", an ageing steam train. In the end Team Bullet Train did most of the work protecting Grandpa, but Prowl and X-Brawn were busy stopping Side Burn from chasing red sports cars anyhow. {{storylink|Secret Weapon: D-5}} All three brothers volunteered to enter the [[International Grand Prix]] in order to try and find [[Skid-Z (RID)|Skid-Z]], a recently arrived Autobot who had scanned a racing car and become possessed by the urge to compete in races. Side Burn attempted to chat up a red sports car at the starting line, only to realise it was Sky-Byte when it talked back. Once the race began, Skid-Z failed to show up—but the Predacons did, and Optimus and the three brothers found themselves holding up a huge rock dropped onto them by Megatron. Fortunately Skid-Z himself finally turned up and destroyed the rock, allowing them to chase Megatron off. {{storylink|Skid Z's Choice}}

[[Image:Tow-Line Goes Haywire Side burn.jpg|right|200px|thumb|Ooooh, kinky!]]
Side Burn was parked happily ogling a red sports car in a showroom when he was abruptly towed away, protesting the whole time. Once Prowl had released him, he was introduced to the tow truck—the recently arrived Autobot [[Tow-Line (RID)|Tow-Line]]. A few hours later, Side Burn was back ogling cars (though disappointingly the red car had been replaced with a yellow one) and was towed again by Tow-Line. This time, however, the other Autobot had been brainwashed by the Predacons and was carrying out their bidding. Side Burn found himself dumped into a pit at a power plant along with X-Brawn and [[Rapid Run (RID)|Rapid Run]]. The trapped trio made some unsuccessful attempts to escape before they were rescued by a repaired Tow-Line and fought the Predacons once more. {{storylink|Tow-Line Goes Haywire}}

When the Predacons became convinced that the "[[Cave of the Dragon]]" harboured a powerful Transformer, the three brothers employed their acting skills to try to make the Predacons think that the disguises Optimus and Team Bullet Train were wearing were a giant transforming robot, and got fired on by [[Railspike (RID)|Railspike]] for their trouble. {{storylink|The Ultimate Robot Warrior}} Called in to the Autobot Base, Side Burn and the rest of the Autobots watched footage of their old adventures and speculated on where the Predacon base might be located. {{storylink|Hope for the Future}}

Optimus and the Autobot brothers went to [[Castle Peak]] to investigate what turned out to be a crashed Autobot spacecraft. Unfortunately they were unable to prevent Megatron stealing the six [[protoform]]s inside and taking them to a [[McKinley Army Base|nearby military base]] where the protoforms were reformatted into [[Decepticon]] warriors. {{storylink|The Decepticons|The Decepticons}} Sent to [[Sherman Dam]] to investigate X-Brawn's disappearance, Prowl and Side Burn encountered the Decepticons and were both tossed into the lake behind the dam, at the bottom of which they were reunited with X-Brawn. The trio were freed when the Decepticons blew a hole in the dam and, in the ensuing fight, they aided [[Rail Racer (RID)|Rail Racer]] in fighting off [[Ruination (RID)|Ruination]]. {{storylink|Commandos}}

[[Image:Attack from Outer Space Side Burn.jpg|left|200px|thumb|[[Drag Strip (G1)|Drag Strip]] is a [[Drag Strip (Animated)|girl]]?!]]
After the Decepticon [[Movor]] was shot into space, he tracked the Autobots in an attempt to locate the hidden Autobot base. Side Burn was, of course, doing some tracking of his own—[[Kelly (RID)|Kelly]]'s sports car to be exact—and led the Decepticons on a merry chase. Informed by X-Brawn that the love of his life was waiting at [[Pier 7B]], Side Burn raced there to find the other Autobots waiting to spring a trap on the Decepticons who were still tailing him. {{storylink|Attack from Outer Space}}

[[Mega-Octane]] met with Optimus, claiming that the Decepticons had rediscovered their Autobot sides. The Autobot brothers were skeptical, so Side Burn came up with the bright idea of testing their honesty by forcing them to do all manner of menial tasks. After watching them all day, the brothers finally admitted that perhaps the six Decepticons were honest after all. Of course, it wasn't long before the plot was revealed and the brothers were alerted to a brawl between Optimus, [[Scourge (RID)|Scourge]] and Ruination. {{storylink|The Test (episode)|The Test}}

The three brothers were called to a power plant where they chased off Sky-Byte and the Predacons. Later X-Brawn was told by Sky-Byte that the Decepticons were going to raid the [[Bayshore power plant]]. The brothers rushed there only to be told by T-AI that the Decepticons had actually attacked the [[Crestline power plant]] instead. They proceeded to the correct plant to find the Decepticons had already been seen off by Rail Racer. {{storylink|The Fish Test}}

[[Image:Landfill Sideburncrash.jpg|right|200px|thumb|"T-AI! Don't scream over the comm like that!"<br>"That wasn't me, X-Brawn."]]
Sent to a diamond mine, the three brothers were brought up short by an incomplete Global Space Bridge, and were introduced to the [[Build Team]]. Keen to prove themselves in battle, the Build Team took over the mission at the mine. {{storylink|Wedge's Short Fuse}} Using the space bridge some time later, Side Burn ended up first on an island in the middle of a lake, and then in the middle of an indoor go-kart track, due to Decepticon sabotage. He was eventually able to rendezvous with the other Autobots in the Arctic, where they watched [[Landfill (RID)|Landfill]] fight off Megatron. {{storylink|Landfill (episode)|Landfill}}

After being duped out of stolen oil by the Build Team, the Decepticons began attacking construction equipment. The Autobots attempted to stop them without involving the Build Team, but had little success. A final attempt to confront the Decepticons had the three Autobot Brothers turn up in the middle of nowhere—the Build Team had sabotaged the space bridge so they could confront the Decepticons themselves. {{storylink|A Test of Metal}}

[[Image:Ultra Magnus Forced Fusion Side Burn.jpg|left|200px|thumb| Few know that the bathing T-AI toy was originally intended for Side Burn. Hope Prime's not peeking over the rocks.]]
While attempting to stop the Decepticons raiding an oil refinery, the three brothers were interrupted by a [[Ultra Magnus (RID)|mysterious Autobot car carrier]], who insulted them as the Decepticons escaped. Later they encountered the Autobot again and this time he scrambled their circuits and deposited them in a junk yard. Once they'd recovered, Optimus called them back to base for a systems check. {{storylink|Ultra Magnus (episode)|Ultra Magnus}} Optimus confronted the Autobot, named Ultra Magnus, himself and was soon overpowered. The Autobot Brothers rescued him from the battlefield and took him to an island to recuperate. Side Burn kept Optimus company for a while, and learned that Magnus was the Autobot leader's brother. A short time later, Optimus was attacked by the Decepticons, and the brothers found the portal at the end of the space bridge had been blocked by Sky-Byte. They eventually broke through only to witness Optimus and Ultra Magnus combining into [[Omega Prime]] for the first time. {{storylink|Ultra Magnus: Forced Fusion!}}

[[Image:Two Faces Ultra Magnus Side Burn powerup.jpg|right|200px|thumb|Kaioken times me!]]
Tracking Ultra Magnus, the Autobot Brothers spied him talking with Sky-Byte and assumed he was betraying them. The trio soon found themselves captured by the Predacons and were promptly freed by Magnus, who informed them he was pretending to defect in order to gain information. Returning to help Optimus against the Predacons, the three brothers found themselves being beaten on by Megatron. All three of them received a sudden power boost which was somehow channeled through Magnus, powering them up and enabling them to fight off the Predacons, with a little help from Omega Prime. {{storylink|The Two Faces of Ultra Magnus}} Prowl and Side Burn went out looking for Ultra Magnus and soon found him. Tailing the Autobot, they saw him talking with Scourge and confronted him, only for him to flee and leave them to fight Scourge and Ruination. Although the two brothers powered up for battle, they began to experience an odd energy drain and had to be rescued by Optimus and X-Brawn. {{storylink|Power to Burn!}}

The Autobot Brothers were sent to guard the subway below Metro City as the Build Team was searching for some mysterious ruins. The trio were confronted by the Decepticons, come to find the same ruins, and left them to the tender mercies of Team Bullet Train. Wandering further, they encountered Ultra Magnus, and Side Burn was distracted by a hallucination of red sports cars, leading the group to the ruins themselves. {{storylink|Fortress Maximus (episode)|Fortress Maximus}} To their surprise the ruins turned out to be [[Fortress Maximus (RID)|Fortress Maximus]], whom the Autobots set about concealing in Metro City. While patrolling to ensure the operation wasn't uncovered, the Autobot Brothers stumbled on Sky-Byte talking to Koji and confronted the shark. Koji discovered that the pod Sky-Byte had been carrying contained his abducted father and interrupted the fight to tell the Autobots that Sky-Byte had rescued his dad. The three brothers apologised to Sky-Byte, who realised his huge blunder and fled in panic. {{storylink|Koji Gets His Wish}}

[[Image:Sideburnhearts.jpg|left|200px|thumb|"Tuxedo Mask is sooooo dreamy!"]]
Doctor Onishi and T-AI quickly worked out a way to locate the remaining [[O-Part]]s needed and soon the Autobot Brothers were locked in competition with the Build Team to find the most of the artefacts. Side Burn and [[Wedge]] were especially competitive and Side Burn was depressed when his team lost. At least until X-Brawn pointed out the approaching red jeep driven by Kelly. {{storylink|A Friendly Contest}} Back in the Autobot base, T-AI merged with the O-Parts. She soon sent Optimus and the Autobot brothers, with Koji tagging along, to a remote part of the [[Sahara|Sahara Desert]] in search of the [[Orb of Sigma]]. The foursome located the Orb under the desert and fought Megatron and the Decepticons for possession of it, eventually returning it to base. {{storylink|Peril from the Past}}

With information extracted from the Orb, the brothers and the Build Team visited a temple from which they extracted [[Cerebros (RID)|Cerebros]], the control robot for Fortress Maximus. They were confronted on exiting the temple by the Decepticons and Predacons who stole Cerebros. The Autobots were forced to go on the defensive against the Decepticons and guard Maximus' hiding place. Scourge managed to activate Maximus anyway, and the giant was only stopped by the intervention of Koji Onishi. {{storylink|Maximus Emerges}}

[[Image:Human Element Side Burn vehicle.jpg|right|200px|thumb|Cruisin' on the fast track to <strike>Fox Kids</strike> <strike>The Fox Box</strike> <strike>4Kids TV</strike> <strike>The CW4Kids</strike> Toonzai... wait, I mean <strike>Fox Kids</strike> <strike>ABC Family</strike> <strike>Jetix on ABC Family</strike> <strike>Jetix on Toon Disney</strike> Disney XD... oh whatever, forget it.]]
Scourge attempted to control Maximus in the desert by magnifying the human portion of his bio-signature. Again Optimus and the Autobot Brothers rushed there. At Koji's insistence, Side Burn carried the boy closer to try to command Maximus to stop, but Koji was unable to override Scourge's control. Maximus was subsequently halted by the arrival of the Build Team and Team Bullet Train with a thousand children. {{storylink|The Human Element}} Having thwarted one attempt by Scourge and Mega-Octane to kidnap Koji, the brothers were assigned to guard him. Koji wasn't keen on being guarded and swapped clothing with his friend [[Karl]], leading to Karl being kidnapped by the Decepticons in another attempt to control Maximus. Optimus and the Autobot Brothers were able to rescue Karl and retrieve Cerebros into the bargain. {{storylink|Mistaken Identity}}

[[Image:Galvatron's Revenge Side Burn.jpg|left|200px|thumb|Side Burn ponders if he could chase and harrass himself.]]
When the Decepticons located and attacked Autobot headquarters, the Autobots led them into a trap and engaged them in a fierce battle. The arrival of Galvatron's ''[[Megastar]]'' turned the tide in the Decepticons' favour, until the Autobots were able to activate Fortress Maximus and destroy the battle station. {{storylink|Surprise Attack!}} Galvatron, however, was not through and began to drain energy from Fortress Maximus. The brothers attempted to shoot him down without success. After Galvatron managed to use [[Cyber-bat|cyber-bats]] to control Earth's children, Omega Prime called a retreat, but the Autobots were followed into the space bridge by the Decepticons. Galvatron saw this as an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone, and flooded the tunnel with molten lava. The Autobots, with the help of some urging from Koji, were able to escape the lava and confront Galvatron once more. {{storylink|Galvatron's Revenge}} The Autobots soon found themselves on the losing end of the battle, and shielded Optimus long enough for their leader to find Ultra Magnus and form Omega Prime. During the final confrontation between Galvatron and Prime, the rest of the Autobots were all held paralysed but provided Prime with moral support.

After Galvatron's defeat, Side Burn returned to chasing red sports cars and being told off by Prowl. {{storylink|The Final Battle (RID)|The Final Battle}}
When [[Scourge (RID)|Scourge]] and [[Sky-Byte (RID)|Sky-Byte]] led an attack on [[Arizona]] to drain the energy out of a vague and nondescript building in the middle of the desert, [[T-AI]] tried to call upon the Autobot brothers to help, but [[Prowl (RID)|Prowl]], Side Burn and [[X-Brawn]] were busy tangling with [[Megatron (RID)|Megatron]] in [[Oregon]].

Megatron eventually fled the battle and Side Burn arrived to help Optimus, only to find the conflict resolved. {{storylink|Ultra Magnus...to the Rescue?}}
Some time after the defeat of Galvatron, Optimus Prime formed the [[Dimensional Patrol]] from the ranks of the Autobots who had stayed behind on Earth (apparently including Side Burn and Prowl), as well as additional experts in transwarp technology, to defend the planet from those who would do it harm via the "temporal and spatial nexus" in Earth's proximity. Unfortunately, Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and several members of the Dimensional Patrol were abducted by [[Unicron]]. Here Side Burn and the others were to battle each other in the [[Cauldron]], where their energy would feed and repair the shattered body of the Chaos Bringer. {{storylink|The Official Transformers Collectors' Club Magazine issue 1}}
Eventually, both Side Burn and Prowl ended up fighting in the [[Universe (2003 franchise)|Universe]] conflict, where [[Omega Prime]] had already joined [[Optimus Primal]]'s [[Children of Primus]] against the [[Minions of Unicron]]. In the final battle against [[Unicron]], the Chaos Bringer began to dissolve below them just as the Children of Primus' victory was achieved. To save themselves, Primal led his troops (presumably) back to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] through a transwarp portal. Side Burn and Prowl were personally thrown by Omega Prime through the portal. {{storylink|Revelations Part 2}}
: A Wal-Mart exclusive, ''Universe'' Side Burn is the exact same toy as Super Side Burn, however black paint was added over the red on the car mode parts (though the bumpers are still red), and a fiberglass pattern was added to the hood, along with a giant Autobot insignia on the car roof. The gun/knife was also dechromed and was cast in silver plastic. Also, the Dodge Viper logo was added to the front of the car, as it had been for both Shadow Striker and Roulette. The differences between both figures stopped there.

: This toy was [[Repurposing|repurposed]] as "[[Shattered Glass (franchise)|Shattered Glass]]" [[Side Burn (SG)|Side Burn]]

==Notes==
* Side Burn's original Japanese name, "Speedbreaker", is a synonym for [http://www.delhitrafficpolice.nic.in/speed-breaker.htm "speed bump"]. It's unknown if the irony was intentional. What was certainly unintentional, however, was the accidental use of the name in Side Burn's first ''Robots in Disguise'' toy's bio.

* Given that the original Side Burn toy's [[bio]] talks about his "new spark engine" and the enhanced attributes it gave him, while the bio of his super mode toy merely describes his personality and abilities, it seems that the two were accidentally swapped at some point in production. The same thing happened to Prowl.

* He pursues a woman for hours and hours wherever she goes, despite her clear objections. Thinking about this for more than two seconds will make you feel all dirty inside, and you just have. (Just think, a different show and this would [[Silverbolt (BW)|be presented as romantic]].)

* The alternate mode of Side Burn seems to be downgraded in horsepower, since there are eight exhaust pipes connecting to his engine block (which are clearly seen whenever he is in robot mode), indicating that his power comes from an eight cylinder engine, rather than the V-10 engine all regular [[wikipedia:Dodge_Viper|Dodge Vipers]] have. Which is probably why he can never catch [[Kelly|Kelly's]] little red sportscars.

* In the "[[Bee in the City]]" script-reading at [[BotCon 2008]], ''[[Beast Wars (franchise)|Beast Wars]]'' [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] mistakenly calls ''[[Transformers Animated (franchise)|Animated]]'' [[Bumblebee (Animated)|Bumblebee]] "Side Burn", as part of a running gag where the kid-appeal 'bot is called by various other kid-appeal-bot names from the ''Transformers'' franchise's long history.

* Super Speedbreaker/Side Burn's vehicle mode served as an inspiration for the Earthen car design adopted by [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]] in the [[Devastation (IDW)|Devastation]] segment of the [[IDW Generation 1 continuity|IDW continuity]].

'''Reveal the Shield''' is a [[subline imprint]] of the [[Transformers (2010 toyline)|2010 ''Transformers'' line]] that began in November [[2010]]. As a toy line with loosely defined fiction [[continuity]], it's both a continuation of the ''[[Hunt for the Decepticons]]'' segment of the 2010 ''Transformers'' line (which itself was a continuation of the ''[[Revenge of the Fallen (toyline)|Revenge of the Fallen]]'' toy line) and one of the spiritual successors of the 2006 ''[[Classics (2006)|Classics]]'' line. Confusingly, it runs concurrently with the ''[[Generations (toyline)|Generations]]'' line, which is ''also'' a ''Classics'' successor. Supposedly, the main reason for this is Hasbro's desire to get out as much "Classic"-related product as possible, so the decision which line specific toys are released in seems arbitrary. In some cases, a [[redeco]] or [[retool]] of a ''Reveal the Shield'' toy is even released under the ''Generations'' banner or vice versa.

The main difference between ''Reveal the Shield'' and ''Generations'', aside from the packaging, is the former's use of [[rubsign]]s (last seen in ''Classics''), which reveal the [[character]]'s true allegiance, much like the original [[The Transformers (toyline)|Generation 1]] toys.

Because the entire theme of this subline is (at least theoretically) not knowing the allegiance of the figures until you press(?) the rubsign, characters who previously needed "Autobot" or "Decepticon" in front of their name for [[trademark]] purposes have instead been given unique and different (and usually more appropriate) descriptive words added to their names to keep their allegiance a closely guarded ultra secret mystery. At least to anyone who hasn't paid any attention at all to any Transformers fiction or merchandise in the past 25 years or so—or doesn't read the [[bio]]s on the back of the packaging, which ''do'' use the "Autobot" prefixes in some cases.

At least to anyone who hasn't paid any attention at all to any Transformers fiction or merchandise in the past 25 years or so—or doesn't read the [[bio]]s on the back of the packaging, which ''do'' use the "Autobot" prefixes in some cases.
[[Image:G1DoublePunch.jpg|right|250px|thumb|Maybe if I pretend to be BlackZarak, I'd be more cool.]]
Highly aggressive and even more foul-mouthed, the only thing '''Double Punch''' loves more than a good act of violence is the planning that goes into the next one. This hulking brute was forged from the most durable metal alloys from the desert regions of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] and has a specialty for desert combat... though he's pretty good at combat all-around, what with killing and destruction being his chief interests. If his [[gladiatorial combat|gladiatorial matches]] end too quickly, he has been known to demolish parts of the arena and any unfortunate spectators around him. When employed as an assassin, Double Punch likes to lay low his targets in broad daylight, the better to spread public awareness of his skill.

He is cunning and cynical, taking both sides of any argument just to stir others up and advance his own position regardless of who wins.

Double Punch's only weakness is his arrogant battle-lust, which can get him into situations that are beyond even his power levels.

==Fiction==
===''Timelines: Wings of Honor'' continuity===
Under the command of [[Clench (G1)|Clench]], Double Punch aided in the assault of the [[Large Hadron Collider]] in [[Switzerland]] and in the process captured [[Autobot]] leader [[Pyro]]. He chose to bask in his victory by idle target-shooting and recounting to his colleagues how boldly he had rejected the disgusting suggestion of becoming a [[Headmaster (technology)|Headmaster]]--though with his cockney accent they couldn't fully follow his meaning. When [[Scorch (G1)|Scorch]] and the [[Go-Bot (G2)|Go-Bots]] showed up on a rescue mission, Double Punch eagerly welcomed them with obscene words and gestures... but soon found it hard to defend himself against so many quick and small opponents. He also found himself being thoroughly thrashed by Pyro, whose new [[Forestonite]]-spawned power to see the future gave him an unbeatable combat edge. When the Autobots gained a decisive upper hand and leveled the facility that the 'Cons had been trying to secure, Double Punch decided he had had enough and fled the scene. {{storylink|Generation 2: Redux}}

:As an [[Action Master Elite]], Double Punch is one of the few figures in the [[Action Master]] line that can actually transform to some limited extent, in this case transforming into a scorpion... with two tails. He has a claw-arm-raking action gimmick in both modes, pressing a button on his torso causes his claw arms to rotate back and forth at the shoulders.

:Double Punch, as with the other Action Master Elites, was only released in Europe and Australasia.

:Like most Action Master Elites, Double Punch appears to be an homage to a pre-existing Generation 1 character. His color scheme, molded detail and transformation strongly resemble [[Scorponok (G1)|BlackZarak]]. He is also the only Action Master based on a Japanese-exclusive character.

: A [[redeco]] of [[Scorponok (BW)|Scorponok]], Double Punch transforms into a large scorpion. His tail features a spring-loaded "jabbing" action, while each claw hides a spring-loaded gimmick. The right (robot mode) claw launches the observation drone [[Beeline]], while the left hides a dual missile launcher activated by opening his claw wide. Aside from his normal robot-mode head, he also has a "mutant mask". Double Punch was an [[exclusive]] at [[BotCon Japan 1998]], and only 600 pieces were made.

: While his fellow BotCon Japan 1998 exclusive [[Grizzly-1]] was based on the unused pre-release coloration for that mold, Double Punch was given his blood-red colors, rather than the more orange pre-release colors for Scorponok, because it was felt that coloration was more "traditional" to scorpions in Japanese culture.

The [[Autobot]]s would say that most [[Decepticon]]s have a screw or two loose mentally, but '''Cindersaur''' is missing at least a bucket full. A volatile combination of pyromania and stupidity, it is suspected that, in his function as a Firestorm Trooper, he inhaled a good bit more smoke than his systems could handle and permanently damaged much of his cerebro-circuitry. With one of the lowest intelligence ratings ever recorded for a sentient robot, Cindersaur needs to burn a path of destruction everywhere he goes just to have a chance of finding his way home.

When not burning various things (especially Autobots) to ashes he relaxes by drinking volcanic lava and taking flame baths to ease his aching joints.
''Cindersaur and the Firecons were sent to Earth, on behalf of their superiors on Cybertron, to make contact with the future Decepticon known as [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]]. They found a squad of Autobot [[Sparkabot|Sparkler Mini-Bots]] keeping tabs on Galvatron in the Florida Keys, and decided to burn away the competition. Cindersaur set [[Fizzle]] on fire, sending him into the ocean waters and blissful unconsciousness. He was apparently overcome in battle by [[Guzzle (G1)|Guzzle]], though, and Galvatron ended up rejecting the Firecons' offer anyway. {{storylink|Enemy Action!}} Cindersaur got his rematch with the Sparklers on Cybertron, when the Firecons reopened the [[Jekka Amphitheatre]] as a gladiatorial arena, pitting gladiators against each other and the occasional captive Autobot. At the behest of [[Scorponok (G1)|Scorponok]], they released three Autobots ([[Backstreet (G1)|Backstreet]], Fizzle, and [[Sizzle (G1)|Sizzle]]), and sent them to Earth via a space bridge, where the three became test subjects for [[Zarak (Nebulan)|Lord Zarak]]'s new creation, the [[jammer]]. {{storylink|Ca$h and Car-nage!}}
''After a trio of Decepticons were mysteriously killed, Cindersaur and his buddies went looking for revenge against the Autobots. They found the [[Classic Pretender]]s on patrol and jumped them, but things came to an abrupt end when the giant, horrific [[demon]]s who were really responsible raised their ugly heads. {{storylink|Demons!}} The Autobots and Decepticons joined forces in confronting the demons, but didn't fare too well. Cindersaur unleashed his flame breath on the creature, only to have its energies absorbed and returned to him in a fiery blast, leaving nothing left of Cindersaur but, well...a cinder. {{storylink|Dawn of Darkness}}''
Later, the Firecons were among the troops who accompanied [[Bludgeon (G1)|Bludgeon]] to the planet [[Klo]] on a mission of conquest after Cybertron was ravaged by [[Unicron]]. Cindersaur joined up with [[Clench (G1)|Clench]] and the Decepticon Syndicate along with several others first gen warriors like [[Breakdown (G1)|Breakdown]], [[Double Punch]], and [[Slicer]]. In Switzerland, Clench and his [[Predacon (G1)|Predacon]] general [[Sky-Byte (Timelines)|Sky-Byte]] were testing a new mutagen energon known as [[forestonite]]. After hearing of the potentially disasterous side-effects, Clench convinced the simple-minded Cindersaur to eat a cannister of the stuff. Despite it not being meant to be taken orally (nom nom nom), Cindersaur survived the *urp* digestion and mutated into a massive tyrannosaur crackling with newfound energy. From the moment he emerged from his [[stasis pod]], '''Fractyl''' has been more concerned with studying the strange planet's surplus [[Energon (fuel)|Energon]] than battling [[Maximal|Maximals]]. Though [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] tries to force him to be a warrior, it's no use. Fractyl is an excellent geochemist but he is, more often than not, a liability in battle.

Despite his shortcomings, Fractyl tries hard to gain the respect and admiration of his fellow Predacons, often to the detriment of the team. It seems the only one among them who does so is [[Vice Grip]].
====Ground Zero====
[[Image:Fractyl critical mass.jpg|left|180px|thumb|Fractyl practices his end zone celebration by spiking the MacGuffin.]]
Fractyl discovered a new form of energy, which he named [[Furmanite]], and claimed that it could be used as an energon armor, shielding a Transformer from the effects of the Energon without the need of a beast mode. Instead of running more tests, he impulsively used it on himself, making sure it would work before presenting it to Megatron. Before he could bring it to Megatron, however, the Furmanite was stolen by the Maximal [[Packrat]].

Fractyl soon discovered Furmanite is actually anti-energon, a substance that could destroy the entire planet if it were exposed to high concentrations of energon. Fractyl risked both an encounter with the Maximals and the wrath of Megatron to catch Packrat before he went boom. He was able to reason with the Maximals and remove the Furmanite from Packrat, and even managed to make it look to the Predacons like he had driven off the Maximals single-handedly. Go, Fractyl. {{storylink|Ground Zero}}
[[Image:Fractyl wreckers.jpg|right|180px|thumb|Surprisingly it's NOT Fractyl that ends up there this time.]]
Having joined the [[Wrecker|Wreckers]] under circumstances so far untold, Fractyl tagged along with [[Primal Prime]], [[Hot Rod (G1)|Rodimus]] and [[Spittor (BW)|Spittor]] to try and coax [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]] out of her sulking emo phase deep in the caves of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], where she went shortly after the death of [[Daniel Witwicky (G1)|Daniel Witwicky]]. When the other Wreckers left frustrated and disappointed because Arcee wouldn't play with them, Fractyl stayed behind to talk, relating how he too had lost a good friend (presumably Vice Grip). He was then nearly killed by [[Blastcharge (BM)|Blastcharge]], but was saved by Arcee and the power of love. Fractyl later showed up in his shiny new body and paid Blastcharge back by slicing him in half. He used his new, jet-powered beast form to bring Arcee to the Wreckers' shuttle, which was already in the process of blasting off and leaving Cybertron. {{storylink|Departure}}

His victory was short-lived, though, as his seemingly buggy new body shorted out during a fight with [[Devcon (G1)|Devcon]] in the cargo hold of the Wreckers' shuttle. With no medic on board, [[Apelinq]] created a drone called [[CatSCAN]] to fill in. Fractyl was put into stasis for several cycles. {{storylink|Betrayal}}

After the Wreckers re-entered Cybertron's atmosphere, an emergency evacuation forced the crew to pull Fractyl and Rotorbolt out of their stasis. Rotorbolt came out more or less recovered, but Fractyl was still unconscious and in critical condition. While Rotorbolt considered putting Fractyl out of his misery, Tigatron intervened by using the last of his [[Vok]]-derived abilities to heal him. Fractyl, a geologist, was ironically out-of-action for the duration of the Wreckers' pursuit of the [[Divine Light]]. Once he was again operable, he was able to use his talents to analyze the prism-like object and give information to allow the Wreckers a victory over [[Cryotek (RID)|Cryotek]]. However, this victory had a terrible cost. At the battle's end, Arcee and Fractyl departed to bury the body of Rodimus in a secret underground Autobot burial site. {{storylink|Wreckers: Finale Part II}}
{{note|The Beast Wars Sourcebook alludes to events in which Fractyl participates, within the IDW version of the Beast Era timeline, being similar to events in the 3H comics. :''Devcon is an [[Autobot]] from the [[Generation 1 (franchise)|Generation 1]] [[continuity family]].''
[[Image:Devconbodiesprofile.jpg|right|300px|thumb|It's turkey ''and'' jerky!]]

'''Devcon''' is a self-proclaimed [[bounty hunter]], one of the successful few during the years of the Great War. Harboring an intense hatred of [[Decepticons]], he spent his time fiercely hunting those who were too dangerous for the other [[Autobots]] to consider. Who he works for or who he would even collect money from for his "finds" is unknown.

It's possible for Devcon to survive for extended periods without refueling due to his incredibly efficient internal systems. This is often what allows him to outlast the efforts of his prey. The origin of his legendary tracking skills are unknown; much of his past is a mystery. In his original body, he has an arm-mounted plasma blaster and a head-mounted laser cannon. His space cruiser mode is capable of long range interstellar flight.<ref name="profile">Devcon's profile in [[Betrayal|''Wreckers'' #2 (revised)]]</ref>

He ''used'' to be friendly, courteous, and jovial, but his post-Great War career as an [[Imperial Peace Marshal]] apparently made him a bitter cynic.

Devcon left his home planet [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] [[MYA|millions of years ago]], "during the Great War" ''(whether he was a bounty hunter at the time or became one later on is anyone's guess)''. He was a nice guy, dedicated to his job, but lonely.

In the Earth year of 1985, Devcon tracked [[Astrotrain (G1)|Astrotrain]], [[Dirge (G1)|Dirge]] and [[Ramjet (G1)|Ramjet]] to the gambling asteroid [[Monacus]]. When the [[Decepticon|Decepticons]] unknowingly evaded him, he headed to a bar and ended up laying the smack down to a pair of thugs who were picking on [[Slizardo]], the henchman of a local mob boss.

He quickly ran into [[Smokescreen (G1)|Smokescreen]] and the alien gambler [[Bosch]], who were down on their luck following a bad bet. Devcon was pleased by the presence of another Autobot, and sat down to drink with the pair - but Devcon's life story was interrupted by Slizardo trying to pledge his eternal loyalty to him!

After helping Smokescreen and the other Autobots on Monacus (and declining an offer to join the Autobots on [[Earth]]), Devcon flew off into space with Slizardo in tow as his new sidekick. {{storylink|The Gambler}}
Devcon was a jerk who ditched that Slizardo loser out an airlock first chance he got.

At the end of the Great War, Devcon retired from his seemingly payless bounty hunter gig and signed on as one of the Maximals' [[Imperial Peace Marshal]]s.<ref name="profile">Devcon's profile in [[Betrayal|''Wreckers'' #2 (revised)]]</ref>

Hundreds of [[Stellar cycle]]s later, Devcon was critically damaged during the [[Vehicon (BM)|Vehicon]] takeover of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] and forced to transfer his [[Spark]] into a [[Mirage (BM)|Mirage drone]]. In need of a ride, he later snuck aboard an [[Autobot shuttle]] the [[Wrecker]]s had stolen to leave Vehicon-controlled Cybertron. After attacking and defeating [[Packrat]], [[Sonar (BW)|Sonar]], and [[Mol]] for no reason, he was confronted by the rest of the Wreckers when they were alerted to his presence. {{storylink|Departure}} [[Fractyl]] and [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]] were also quickly dispatched before [[Hot Rod (G1)|Rodimus Major]] could calm him down.

Devcon proceeded to sow dissent amongst the already-fractured Wreckers with his abrasive, snarky personality. After landing on [[Archa Nine]] and failing to keep the [[Divine Light]] out of the hands of the traitorous [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]], the Wreckers gladly built Devcon back into his original body so he could go away. {{storylink|Betrayal}}

[[Image:Disclosure CSSB-16 Devcon & co.jpg|right|thumb|250px|Assholes finish first, losers!]]

Having sworn vengeance against Cyclonus, Devcon, knowing he needed help, sought for someone willing to assist him at [[Spaceport CSSB-16]]. Though not enough in a hurry to skip on [[Devcon's galpal|some]] [[Oil|enjoyment]], he swiftly got the [[Beast Era]] [[Dinobot (BM)|Dinobots]] to join forces with him. {{storylink|Disclosure}}

{{note|In the unpublished ''[[Wreckers: Finale Part I]]'', Devcon and the Dinobots returned to Cybertron just in time to stand against the invasion of the [[Quintesson]]s, whom [[Cryotek (RID)|Cryotek]] and Cyclonus had partnered with. Hearing the Wreckers had a beeline on the villains, Devcon met up with them deep below Cybertron and did battle with Cyclonus. He was present when [[Primal Prime]] and [[Apelinq]] fused into the [[Primus]]-powered [[Sentinel Maximus]] to oppose the equally empowered Cryotek.}}

As Sentinel Maximus and Cryotek began their epic battle, Devcon and the Wreckers were left to deal with Cyclonus, Cryotek's pet [[Deployer (BM)|Deployer]] [[Chro]], a borrowed swarm of [[Sharkticon (G1)|Sharkticon]]s, and a legion of drones created by the Divine Light. Typical Wrecker odds. Even their vaunted tenacity started to slip, however, as more and more heroes fell in battle or just [[Cauldron|vanished mysteriously]]. With the drones destroyed and Rodimus occupying Cyclonus, Devcon and the newly arrived [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]] were the only ones left standing against the mutated Deployer. A stray shot left Devcon stunned and helpless, and he would have been destroyed by Chro if not for the well-timed arrival of [[Tigatron]] and Arcee with reinforcements. The Wreckers arrived in time for the final conflict between Sentinel Maximus and Cryotek, but were unable to stop their leader from sacrificing himself to carry Cryotek through a portal into the featureless void, opening by their treacherous ally, the Quintesson [[Al-Badur]]. With Rodimus dead and Maximus gone, it was a pyrric victory at best.

After the invasion was quelled, Devcon planned to take off for deep space again. As security chief of Cybertron, [[Rattrap]] offered him a position with planetary defense, but the bounty hunter declined. Devcon finally admitted that he had at least given Slizardo a space suit and survival kit before dumping him out that airlock, and that maybe he'd seek the little guy out to restart their partnership after all. {{storylink|Wreckers: Finale Part II}}
{{note|Devcon's wording suggests that he believes he will still find Slizardo floating in space even though more than 300 years have passed. He shows no sign of knowing of Slizardo's [[Grimlock's New Brain|later criminal career]].}}
At [[BotCon 2001]], a hand-painted [[Vehicon (BM)|Vehicon]] [[Mirage (BM)|Mirage]], representing Devcon as seen in the Wreckers comics, was one of several future exclusives that attendees could vote to have produced for [[BotCon 2002]]. He evidently lost the vote, as the ultra-sized [[Jetstorm (BM)|Jetstorm]] as G1 [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]] was produced the following year. The mock-up was put on display along with many other unmade Wreckers toys in the BotCon 2002 art room.

Whether it actually would have been produced had 3H kept the convention license is unknown.
==Notes==
* Devcon's name is a play on the word "[[wikipedia:DEFCON|DEFCON]]", an acronym related to military alertness. Although unconfirmed, it is thought that, along with the embargo on the word "nuclear", the writers of the Generation 1 cartoon were not allowed to use the actual word DEFCON in light of heightened Cold War tensions at the time, thus requiring a made-up soundalike word.
* Due to his transformation in "The Gambler", it would be possible to simply repaint a [[Blurr (G1)|Blurr]] figure as Devcon. Somewhere, a [[Kitbashing|kitbasher]] is doing just that.
* Devcon's inclusion in the Wreckers comic was due to writer [[Rob Gerbracht]] being a big fan of the character. A serialized web series written in the style of Gerbracht's [[Apelinq's War Journals]] was planned to describe the fall of the Peace Marshals and Devcon's escape from torture at the hands of [[Cryotek (RID)|Cryotek]]. These were among many ideas that went unrecognized as [[3H Productions]] inched closer to its eventual demise. Devcon's deep-seated anger and hatred of [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]], oddly alluded to throughout [[Betrayal]], subsequently went unexplained. Bummer.
Most make the mistake of noticing only '''Arcee'''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s [[Female Transformer|gender]], but these first impressions are quickly expanded upon. Arcee is a merciless and deadly warrior who's an expert in hand-to-hand combat and one of the best sharpshooters on record. The reason for her ferocity is how much she cares for her fellow Autobots and especially the [[human]]s they protect. She knows how fragile her organic companions are, and she's equally aware of the evils the [[Decepticon]]s are capable of. Peers such as [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]] and [[Springer (G1)|Springer]] may be more durable than the humans, but she no less fights to defend them as well. They get in plenty of trouble, so someone has to be the level-headed one. (Some believe Arcee has a [[Transformer romance|romantic]] attraction to either of those two, but that depends on who and when you ask.)

If concern for her friends is her strength, it's regrettably also her weakness. If anything would happen to, say, [[Daniel Witwicky (G1)|Daniel Witwicky]], she might just completely lose it. And she may be quick, but she's not very strong.

During the assault on [[Autobot City]] Arcee was instrumental in helping [[Springer (G1)|Springer]] transform the fortress to repel the [[Decepticon]] invaders, buying precious time for reinforcements and likely saving many lives. She was among the few Autobots to survive [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]]'s savage blitz on the city and to form the small army sent to engage the planet eater, [[Unicron]], who was threatening [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] at the time.
Although she was nearly left behind when Unicron’s minion [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]] attacked, she, along with Autobot leader [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]], and his small attack force managed to hold their own against the villain long enough to befriend the citizens of the planet [[Junkion (planet)|Junk]], reunite with their lost Autobot comrades, and fight their way into the depths of Unicron where [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]] was finally able to open the power of the [[Matrix of Leadership|Matrix]] and kill the giant foe.

[[Image:ArceeTFMovie.jpg|right|200px|thumb|She, uh, meant to flood the tunnel.]]

Throughout the entire affair, one of Arcee's top priorities was the protection and care of young [[Daniel Witwicky (G1)|Daniel Witwicky]], a human friend of Hot Rod who had wound up on the adventure with her. {{Storylink|The Transformers: The Movie}}

After the Matrix chose Hot Rod to become the new leader of the Autobots, [[Rodimus Prime (G1)|Rodimus Prime]], Arcee remained as one of his closest soldiers. She helped fight a surprise attack on the first [[Galactic Olympics]]. When Ultra Magnus, [[Kup (G1)|Kup]], and [[Spike Witwicky (G1)|Spike Witwicky]] were discovered missing, she and Springer took off after the perceived kidnapper. Although they were successful in capturing their quarry, the [[Skuxxoid]], and taking his ship, he deceived them about the identity of his employer. {{storylink|Five Faces of Darkness, Part 1}} This still turned out to be beneficial as they arrived in time to save Rodimus Prime and [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] from being pummeled by a mob of Decepticons. When Rodimus learned that the [[Quintesson]]s were the real ones behind the kidnapping, she partook in the rescue mission on [[Quintessa]], saving Magnus, Kup and Spike seconds before the planet was detonated. {{storylink|Five Faces of Darkness, Part 2}}

She, along with the others, was sent by the explosion to the planet of [[Goo]] where they were stranded until the Junkions were called in to salvage them. {{storylink|Five Faces of Darkness, Part 3}} Although she was only briefly seen in the aftermath, it was assumed she returned to Cybertron with the others, and fought when Galvatron waged a full scale assault on the planet. {{storylink|Five Faces of Darkness, Part 4}}

Arcee was among the small group of Autobots that managed to stop a Quintesson plot to use the resurrected body of [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Optimus Prime]] as a sort of sleeper agent to lure the rest of the Autobots into a trap. {{storylink|Dark Awakening}} She was also seen among the other Autobots cheering when Unicron's plan to connect himself to Cybertron failed. {{storylink|Ghost in the Machine}}
[[Image:ArceeDepth.jpg|left|thumb|250px|With this, she won't ''need'' to be a sharpshooter!]]
Later she accompanied a squad sent after Galvatron and his troops who had broken into a secret chamber on Cybertron. This too would turn out to be a Quintesson trap. This time, the Decepticons were fooled into releasing the Quintessons’ dangerous experiments, the [[Trans-Organic]]s, and their most powerful member The [[Dweller]], a giant energy leech that turned all Transformers into energy vampires. After trying to fight off both Galvatron and the Dweller in the dark tunnels, only she and Ultra Magnus were able to escape and warn Rodimus Prime and [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]] in time to stop the Dweller and turn the other Transformers back to normal. {{storylink|The Dweller in the Depths}}
[[Image:OnlyHumanlineup.jpg|right|thumb|250px|The color scheme isn't flattering on a jumpsuit, either.]]

She, along with Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and Springer became the targets of crime lord [[Victor Drath]] after busting one too many of his operations. With the help of [[Cobra Commander| Old Snake]], the four Autobots were captured. Their minds were transferred from their bodies into the forms of [[synthoid]] humans. They managed to escape disposal by Drath’s men, and Arcee eventually made it back to Autobot City in an attempt to warn their comrades that their former bodies were going to be used to blow up the city. Being an unrecognizable human, no one believed her, and she was locked in a detention cell instead. Luckily when Ultra Magnus and Springer managed to foil Drath's plan all four Autobots were subsequently returned to their rightful bodies. {{storylink|Only Human}}

[[Image:HeadmasterDanielRebirth1.jpg|left|200px|thumb|Daniel has two mommies.]]
The almost maternal connection between Daniel and Arcee was a powerful one, which was only strengthened some time later when Galvatron tried his most ambitious plan. Using the [[Key to the Plasma Energy Chamber|Key]] to the [[Plasma Energy Chamber]], Galvatron tried to release its destructive power. Arcee, along with Hot Rod, Kup, and a large Autobot crew, managed to snatch the key away and escaped to the far off planet of [[Nebulos]]. There, they became embroiled in the Nebulons' struggle for freedom against their own oppressors, the [[Hive (G1)|Hive]]. In an effort to combat both the Hive and the Decepticons that had tracked them down, the Autobots and the Nebulons agreed to become partners and developed the [[Headmaster (technology)|Headmaster]] and [[Targetmaster]] processes. Having been critically injured trying to save her from [[Snapdragon (G1)|Snapdragon]], Arcee chose Daniel to partner with as he now needed an [[exosuit]] to survive and was her ”dearest friend”. {{storylink|The Rebirth, Part 1}}

[[Binary bonding|Binary bonded]], the two proved quite effective in combat as did all the Autobots and, later, Decepticons who became Headmasters and Targetmasters. {{storylink|The Rebirth, Part 2}} Trying to escape with the key, Arcee and Daniel were captured by [[Scorponok (G1)|Scorponok]] and held prisoner until Spike and [[Cerebros (G1)|Cerebros]] were able to break them out of the Decepticon City just before it was blown out into the deep reaches of space by a blast of energy from the Plasma Energy Chamber. {{storylink|The Rebirth, Part 3}}
In the divergent [[universal stream]] of Primax 903.0 Beta, splintered off from the mainstream timeline when the time-tossed Decepticon [[Ravage (G1)|Ravage]] altered history, Arcee was selected to participate in the [[Timaeus Project]], an Autobot experiment to breach super-dimensional space being carried out on the urging of the mysterious [[Optimus Primal|Protector]], a disembodied spark from the future. Arcee's consciousness was transferred into a [[Binaltech]] body, and after saying goodbye to the Protector, she began her objective: driving in around an accelerator track while a chip in her cerebro-circuitry helped focus her thoughts towards breaching "superspace". Just as she succeeded in opening a rift into higher-dimensional space, however, a Decepticon attack led by [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] struck Autobot City. Fearing for the safety of the Protector and the future he represented, Arcee recklessly attempted to go to his rescue, leaping off the track without taking the proper slowdown procedures. Arcee's body was crushed by undissipated kinetic energy, but in her unconscious state, the Protector's spark contacted her, and told her that he was unimportant: it was the Timaeus Project and its researchers who had to be saved. 38 seconds later, Arcee awoke, her spark having been automatically transferred to a spare S-2000 Binaltech unit, and she fulfilled the Protector's wishes, saving the project's human workforce and the [[Alternium|strange object]] that had passed through the rift she had opened. Alas, this allowed Shockwave's agents to capture the Proctor's spark, and bring it to Decepticon leader [[Nemesis Prime (G1)|Nemesis Prime]]. {{storylink|Unfinished Business, Part 3}}
When Nemesis Prime resurfaced in Australia, the Autobots confronted him. The liberated Protector then merged with Optimus Prime, giving him the strength to defeat his evil counterpart. {{storylink|Unfinished Business, Part 4}}
In 2011, Arcee was stationed at the Autobots' secondary command post on the planet [[Athenia]] when Cybertron's mega-computer [[Vector Sigma]] began to destabilize, threatening the planet and opening it up to an attack by Decepticons and their new "Headmaster" warriors. {{storylink|Four Warriors Come out of the Sky}} She remained there with Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr and [[Spike Witwicky (G1)|Spike Witwicky]] and [[Carly]] to hold down the fort while the other Autobots joined the battle on Cybertron, and watched from afar as an object that they believed to be a star also headed for the planet. The "star" was in actuality the colossal spaceship the Maximus, carrying the Autobot Headmasters from their homeworld of planet [[Master (planet)|Master]], and with their added strength, the Autobot forces were able to rout the Decepticons. While Optimus Prime headed into Cybertron's depths to try and stabilize the computer, Arcee helped welcome the Autobot Headmasters to Athenia, and again remained on the planet with Kup and Blurr while most of the other Autobots began searching for the missing Matrix of Leadership on Earth, required to bring Vector Sigma under control. Arcee wept when news of [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]]'s death during the quest reached Athenia. {{storylink|The Mystery of Planet Master}} Lack of any further news put Blurr on edge, and Arcee was trying to get him calm down before he drove her nuts when Autobot Headmaster commander [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Fortress]] announced that he was going to Cybertron to try to help Optimus Prime. Arcee and the others went with him, helping to monitor Vector Sigma while he followed Prime into Cybertron's catacombs. Ultimately, the Matrix was recovered and used to stabilize Vector Sigma, but not before Optimus Prime perished once more, leaving Hot Rod—now Rodimus Prime again—as leader. {{storylink|Birth of the Fantastic Double Prime}}

Arcee, Kup and Blurr counselled Rodimus Prime on how to deal with the Decepticons' newest weapon, the [[Madmachine]]; Arcee put both Blurr and [[Chromedome (G1)|Chromedome]] in their place for underestimating the threat. She then watched as Fortress used the technology of Master to resurrect Blaster as Twincast. {{storylink|The Great Cassette Operation}} A little later, Arcee relayed a report from Fortress about the Decepticon conquest of planet [[Beast (planet)|Beast]] to Rodimus. {{storylink|Rebellion on Planet Beast}} Later still, she helped track the trajectory of the Decepticons' newest space-borne weapon, the meteorite [[Metamorpho]], and assured Daniel that Fortress's battleship would be able to deal with it before it posed any thread to Athenia. {{storylink|Approach of the Demon Meteorite}}

Receiving a distress call from the planet [[Praum]], Arcee conferred with Kup and Blurr on what to do, since Rodimus himself was on Earth checking up on a report of a new energy discovery. While the Autobot Headmasters went to investigate Praum, Rodimus radioed in that the energy report was a fake, prompting Arcee to re-examine the report and discover it had been given by hypnotised victim of the Decepticon Headmaster [[Mindwipe (G1)|Mindwipe]]. Realising the energy report was a distraction, Rodimus headed for Praum and saved the Autobot Headmasters from the ambush waiting for them there. {{storylink|The Four-Million-Year-Old Veil of Mystery}} Chromedome started to develop a crush on Arcee, and the other Headmasters made fun of him by comparing Arcee's looks to the [[Statue of Liberty]]'s. {{storylink|Terror!
When the Decepticons launched another major attack on Cybertron in order to seize control of the new alloy [[cybertonuron]] that Vector Sigma had created, Arcee rushed to the planet to join the battle, though she and Kup were held up by having to stop and pull Blurr out of a chair he'd gotten stuck in. The trio watched as Rodimus and Galvatron battled. {{storylink|Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 1}} Unfortunately, the Autobots did not reckon with Decepticon Headmaster leader [[Scorponok (G1)|Scorponok]], who used [[plasma energy]] bombs to destroy Cybertron, rather than allow Galvatron to obtain the cybertonuron. Rodimus Prime decided to leave leadership to Fortress while he departed to search space for a new homeworld for the Transformers, and Kup and Blurr volunteered to go along with him; Arcee expressed her desire to join them, but Rodimus instructed her to stay behind to look after Daniel and Wheelie. {{storylink|Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 2}}
Arcee was downcast by these turns of events, but tried to encourage Wheelie and Daniel to keep their spirits up. They all attended a party to commemorate the completion of the joint Autobot-human project, the [[Solar 1]] satellite, at which Arcee slow-danced with Chromedome, surprised at his skill. {{storylink|The Shadow Emperor, Scorponok}} Arcee later helped to monitor the mysterious Decepticon-controlled planet [[Zarak (planet)|Zarak]] {{storylink|The Dormant Volcano Mysteriously Erupts}} and alerted Fortress to the appearance on Athenia of a carnivorous plant. {{storylink|Head On!! When Fortress departed Athenia to join a battle on Mars, Carly worried for the safety on Daniel, and Arcee assured her he would be fine. {{storylink|Explosion on Mars!! Maximus Is in Danger}} During the fight on Mars, Fortress was hit by a blast of energy by the Decepticons that drained all his power, and Arcee desperately tried to raise him on the communications channel. She analyzed the energy that had struck him, identifying it as plasma energy, and realized that the Decepticons planned to destroy Mars in order to generate more of it. {{storylink|Explosion on Mars!! MegaZarak Appears}} Unbelievably, the villains succeeded in the goal, and Arcee joined with Spike and [[Broadside (G1)|Broadside]] in scanning the planetary debris to assess the damage the planet's destruction had caused to the solar system. After they reported their findings to Fortress, a strange new phenomenon appeared on Athenia: Daniel and Wheelie saw a UFO! Arcee filled Fortress in on the mystery sighting, and travelled with the Autobot Headmasters to watch as Daniel tried communicating with the strange visitor via music. Chromedome was particularly honored to drive alongside Arcee, and got a thrill out of seeing her transform. {{storylink|Return of the Immortal Emperor}}

Arcee was the first to speak out in favour of offering aid to the energy-depleted planet [[Sandra]], and gathered information on the Autobots' energon stockpiles in order to verify the energy could be spared. {{storylink|SOS from Planet Sandra}} Soon after, Arcee used [[Teletraan I (G1)|Teletraan I]] to send a request from Spike to Galvatron about the unlikely possibility of the two factions uniting in a new energy research programme... and received a surprised response in the positive! Unfortunately, the negotiations proved to be a Decepticon distraction, granting the rest of the villains time to depart on an interplanetary energy-plundering quest. Once the Autobots discovered they had been duped, they set off in pursuit of their foes across space; Arcee accompanied them, helping to look after Daniel and Wheelie on the trip. {{storylink|Daniel Faces His Biggest Crisis Ever!!}}

The Autobots discovered that the Decepticons' first target was the planet [[Susei]] when they found a damaged ship and an injured soldier from the planet floating in space. Arcee did her best to save the soldier's life with the Maximus's medical equipment, but his wounds were to severe. {{storylink|Fight to the Death on Susei!!}} Next, the Decepticons went after the planet [[Twin Star|Sperity]]; Fortress instructed [[Brainstorm]] to take Arcee, Daniel and Wheelie to Sperity's barren twin [[Twin Star|Toruin]] where they could be safe until the fighting was over. However, the quartet discovered that most of Sperity's population had evacuated to a subterranean city on Toruin, and Arcee was forced to volunteer herself as a "hostage", remaining on Toruin as a show of good faith while Brainstorm went to pass this important information on to the Autobots on Sperity. {{storylink|Battle for Defense of the False Planet}}

Arcee's image was programmed into one of Daniel's video games as a hapless damsel who had to be saved from sprites of the Decepticon Headmasters. Fortunately, she didn't take any offense at this, and happily watched Daniel play the game, complimenting him on his marksmanship. Soon after, the Autobots saved the injured [[Beastformer]] [[Tekna]] from the planet Darhos, and Arcee monitored his vitals as Chromedome tried and failed to save his life. {{storylink|Find MegaZarak's Weak Spot!!}} Arcee then joined the Autobots in traveling to planet [[Paradise]], {{storylink|Head Formation of Friendship}} and [[Pirate Planet]], but just really stood around on the Maximus and didn't do much. {{storylink|Mystery of the Space Pirate Ship}} She carried on doing nothing after the Autobots returned to Athenia {{storylink|Ultra Magnus Dies!!}} and even took the time to advocate that ''others'' do nothing as well, such as when she had Spike refrain from contacting Fortress in the face of a diversionary Decepticon attack. {{storylink|The Emperor of Destruction Vanishes on an Iceberg}} She spent most of the time that immediately followed sitting at a monitor, either sending communications or overseeing Fortress's telekinetic surgery on an injured Spike.
Fortress's victory over Scorponok forced the Decepticons off of Earth, leaving the Autobots to begin clean-up operations and restore the damage done to the planet. Arcee was appointed Spike's aide in his meeting with the [[United Nations]], working to help co-ordinate the relief effort; their first endeavour was the destruction of the Decepticons' abandoned Earth headquarters. {{storylink|Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 1)}} Despite these new duties, however, Arcee still joined with the other Autobots in travelling to the planet Master when word reached them that Scorponok had withdrawn there and was causing chaos. She put her medical knowledge to work again treating the wounds of Chromedome's old friend [[Jack (Headmasters)|Jack]]. {{storylink|Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 2)}} She proceeded to do absolutely nothing for the entirety of the remainder of the Autobots' time on the planet, but she sure did a good job of sitting silently in a chair. {{storylink|Operation: Destroy the Decepticons}}

Arcee's massively importantly contribution to the Autobots' return flight to Earth was reminding Daniel and Wheelie to wear their seatbelts. Soon after touching down on the planet, Arcee received a report that an airliner carrying Spike and Carly had crashed in the Andes, prompting Daniel and the Headmasters to head to the rescue. {{storylink|The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 1)}} She then ''finally'' stepped back on to the battlefield for the first time in ages when she joined all the other Autobots in a climactic final battle with the Decepticons at the North Pole. She united her energies with her team-mates, funnelling them through the Headmasters' [[Head Formation]], super-charging Fortress Maximus and giving him the strength to destroy Scorponok's [[Transtector]]. This victory finally led the Decepticons to flee Earth for good, and Arcee stood stoically by Fortress and the other Headmasters as they bid Spike, Carly and Daniel goodbye, before heading into space to carry on the fight. {{storylink|The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 2)}}
Arcee was constructed by the Autobots in an alternate future 1995 as a good-will attempt to placate [[Feminist mob|angry feminists]] who thought that they were "sexist" for having no women in their group. After trying multiple times to explain that Autobots, being robots, had no gender, [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Optimus Prime]] surrendered and ordered [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]] and [[Ratchet (G1)|Ratchet]] to make a new Autobot who would meet the humans' demands for sexual equality. Prime warned Arcee to stay back, lest she get hurt in battle, but the female Autobot, rightfully annoyed at the Autobots' lack of faith in her equal ability, singlehandedly forced the Decepticons into a retreat. [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]] thought that was pretty hot. The feminists were enraged beyond words. {{storylink|Prime's Rib!}}
Arcee and Hot Rod became quite friendly, but with his ascension to Prime status in 2006, they began to drift apart. She was stationed at [[Autobot City]] on Earth and got bored by her duties. The [[Quintesson]]s attacked in 2008, stringing out the city's population to the wall and using a wounded Arcee as bait to attract Rodimus; when he tried to use the Matrix to heal her, they stole it and he reverted to Hot Rod. In 2009, Arcee tracked down [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]] and the [[Terrorcon (G1)|Terrorcons]] on Earth, where they were planning to use a laser bore to leech energy right from the planet's core. Joining a small Autobot detachment, they destroyed the drill and returned to Autobot City to face the greater threat: a timestorm that threatened 20 years of history with destruction. As Galvatron had spent months back in the 20th century, the universe was unraveling from the anomaly.
Arcee, Rodimus and several other Autobots traveled back in time to 1989 in order to retrieve the Decepticon villain. Unfortunately, the Autobots of that day mistook them for imposters and tried to kill them. Arcee was nearly mauled to death by the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]] before [[Goldbug (G1)|Goldbug]] explained that they were actually travelers from the future. Even more unfortunately, Galvatron had acquired some allies in the past: Scourge, [[Ravage (G1)|Ravage]], and the mighty [[Straxus (G1)|Megatron]]. She joined Kup and Ultra Magnus in trying to triple-team Megatron, but was only swatted aside like a bothersome insect. Arcee survived, however, and managed to take a few cheap shots at Galvatron later on in the fight. Eventually, the timestorm asserted itself on the battle, and consumed Galvatron utterly, ending the temporal distortion. {{storylink|Time Wars (issue)|Time Wars}}
Kup led Hot Rod, Arcee, and the Dinobots on a special mission to take supplies from Earth to a space station on Cybertron's second moon. Despite Kup's warnings, the Dinobots loaded too many supplies onto the ship, and the ship crashed on a planet. Everyone landed safely, but Kup recognized the place. It was the planet [[Quintessa|Quintesson]]! They were interrupted by a tribal scream and a flurry of firestones. After an unspecified event, she took on the form of a techno-organic spider, and learned the skills of both [[Crystalocution]] and the previously lost art of [[Tekkaido]]. Hundreds of [[Stellar cycle|stellar cycles]] later, when [[Predacon (BW)|Predacon]] [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] returned from [[Earth]]'s past and conquered Cybertron with his army of [[Vehicon (BM)|Vehicons]], Arcee's solitude spared her from the onslaught. [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]], now known as simply Rodimus, had helped form a new team of [[Wrecker|Wreckers]] and wished to enlist Arcee. But Arcee rejected his offer as she was still too embittered by her experience, though she was touched by the Wrecker [[Fractyl]]'s words. Rodimus's Wreckers were followed by Megatron's new Vehicon generals, [[Quake (G1)|Quake]] and [[Blastcharge (BM)|Blastcharge]], causing a battle that resulted in Fractyl's near-death. Refusing to lose another, Arcee used her spark to save Fractyl, also reformatting him into a Transmetal body. Arcee agreed to depart with the rest of the Wreckers, and she and Fractyl assisted them in defeating a vast Vehicon army in order to reach an old [[Autobot shuttle]]. {{storylink|Departure}}

But the Autobot bounty hunter [[Devcon (G1)|Devcon]] had snuck aboard their ship and attacked some of their group. Arcee and the others raced to the rescue, and Arcee was quickly felled by Devcon, despite his new, smaller Vehicon body. After things were sorted out, Arcee tended to Fractyl, whose new Transmetal form was wildly unstable. At Arcee's insistence, [[Apelinq]] created a crude medical bot, [[CatSCAN]], to assist Fractyl's recovery. Arcee was oddly unable to foresee the deaths of [[Spittor (BW)|Spittor]] and [[Sonar (BW)|Sonar]], a result of a yet-unknown saboteur amongst their ranks, as she happily watched CatSCAN discover himself while working on Fractyl. Their ship set down on their [[Oracle (BM)|Oracle]]-given destination, the remote planet of [[Akalo|Archa Nine]]. Arcee stayed behind with a few others to repair damage to their ship by their mysterious saboteur, who turned out to be fellow Wrecker [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]]. Arcee blamed herself, as she hadn't been able to foresee death since she saved Fractyl. Demoralized, Arcee and the Wreckers left Archa Nine and headed to another planet at the insistence of their divinely-inspired leader, [[Primal Prime]]. They landed on a small icy planet, and a small scout team, including Arcee, was sent to investigate. After searching for hours, they stumbled upon [[Al-Badur]], a [[Quintesson]] scientist. Arcee immediately readied her weapon, as she and Rodimus had had enough of the Quintessons for several lifetimes, but Primal Prime asked her to lower them. Al-Badur was a somewhat welcome source of information regarding their quest, and before they could leave the planet with him, they were under attack by a horde of [[Sharkticon (G1)|Sharkticons]] sent by Cryotek. Arcee and Rodimus quietly bonded as they battled the Sharkticons; it was just like old times. Slowly but surely, Arcee's demeanor had lightened. After the Sharkticons were defeated, Al-Badur explained their problem. The Divine Light was an ancient Quintesson piece of technology that allowed them to tap directly into the power of [[Primus]], and now Cryotek had it! {{storylink|Disclosure}}

But when they returned to Cybertron, it had changed during their absence into a [[technorganic]] paradise by the [[Great Reformatting]]. Quintessons had seized the opportunity to invade the planet, but Primal Prime assured Arcee and the others that Cryotek was their only concern. Primal Prime, Apelinq, [[Ramulus]] and [[Tigatron]] left them to find Cryotek, leaving Arcee and the others to take their injured to safety before joining the counterattack forces on the ground. Instead, their shuttle took heavy damage and was descending in a ball of fire and smoke. Arcee, grabbing Fractyl's body and what life support she could, abandoned ship with the rest. Disregarding Primal Prime's orders, Arcee suggested they find Cryotek and help the other Wreckers defeat him. Descending into the layers of Cybertron, they met [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]], who joined them on their journey.

Finding the battleground between Cryotek and [[Sentinel Maximus]] (the combined form of Apelinq and Primal Prime, newly merged by Primus), Arcee reluctantly set aside Fractyl and his life support to join the fight. She helped Devcon defeat Cryotek's mutated pet [[Chro]], using her weblines to hold the monster still so the bounty hunter could shoot at it. But Cyclonus and Rodimus had disappeared beneath some rubble, so Arcee, Fractyl (who had been magically repaired by Tigatron expending all of his [[Vok]] powers) and the others went digging for him... and instead found [[Botanica (BM)|Botanica]], [[Nightscream (BM)|Nightscream]]... and Arcee's nephew, [[Rattrap]]. They avoided each other's glance awkwardly.

They found Rodimus, but he was in rough shape, having fought nearly to the death with Cyclonus. Arcee and the others agreed to follow Al-Badur's instruction in defeating Cryotek, and helped direct the battle between Sentinel Maximus and Cryotek to a chamber deep within Cybertron. Arcee asked Fractyl to keep on Rodimus, who was extremely weak. Their group arrived in the desired chamber, but Arcee had a bad feeling about the place. It seemed familiar. She recognized it too late. It was a Quintesson banishment chamber, and Al-Badur had activated the containment shield within, locking Sentinel Maximus, Cryotek, and himself inside a forcefield bubble that fed into a strongly gravitational portal into nothingness. To Arcee's initial horror, despite her pleas, Rodimus stood up to deal with the situation. She knew that his next action would kill him in his weakened state, but after his assurances, she resigned herself to the outcome. Rodimus and Cheetor, both [[Matrix Templar]]s, used their skills to drain Cryotek of his Primus-stolen powers. As expected, this was too much for Arcee's long-time friend, and though they succeeded in saving Cybertron, Rodimus was dead.

But death isn't an ending, she realized. It was just another change. "And change is what we do." Arcee and Fractyl gathered his body to take it to a secret burial ground that Arcee knew of. She promised that this time, she wouldn't disappear forever. {{storylink|Wreckers: Finale Part II}}
In order to oversee the decommissioning of all Cybertronian technology on Earth, Arcee was sent to the planet alongside [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]], [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] and [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]], the last of which whom she had a mutual attraction to. Shortly after the group arrived at [[Area 52 (G1)|Area 52]], the facility came under attack by [[Cobra]], and Arcee helped fight them off alongside [[Scarlett]], who was surprised over the existence of "girl robots". {{storylink|The Art of War issue 1|The Art of War #1}} Upon hearing about a security breach in the lower levels of Area 52, the group headed there and, to Arcee's horror, found Bumblebee injured and low on energy. The Autobots and Joes survived, and quickly followed Serpent O.R. through a warpgate to Cybertron, where they were attacked by [[cannibalizer]]s. Arcee didn't think they were very threatening, but suggested that they retreat to protect the humans. During their escape, she promised that she'd rotate Bumblebee's tires if he could outrace her... only to run straight into Serpent O.R. and his new army, who remorselessly killed Bumblebee and captured the others. {{storylink|The Art of War issue 3|The Art of War #3}} They eventually managed to escape thanks to their G.I. [[Image:Spotlight Arcee traumatic flashback.jpg|right|220px|thumb|]]
Arcee was an early test subject of the mad genius [[Jhiaxus (G2)|Jhiaxus]], after he decided to introduce gender into the Transformers just to see the results. Her fundamental [[CNA]] was altered, giving her a "maddening maelstrom of contradictory sensory input" and causing all other Transformers to sense a fundamental difference about her and inadvertently use feminine pronouns around her, something that she loathes. (It also gave her fangs and permanent lipstick for some unknown reason.)

[[Image:IDW Arcee mad.jpg|left|180px|thumb|The writers of the Headmasters cartoon now fear for their lives...]]
She didn't meet Jhiaxus' standards and was dumped. Dangerously unstable and driven by an implacable homing instinct towards her creator's experiments, Arcee cut a mech-fluid swath of carnage across several planets in her obsession with destroying everything Jhiaxus created. She was eventually taken down by [[Tyrest Accord]] enforcer [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] and incarcerated on the Autobot penitentiary on [[Garrus-9]].

Her [[spark]] was kept separate from her body within the penitentiary, as were those of all prisoners. In this limbo, she found a kind of peace. Unfortunately, when the Decepticons attacked to seize the new inmate [[Monstructor (G1)|Monstructor]] (another Jhiaxus experiment), warden [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Fortress Maximus]] freed her as a last resort to stop the attack. She was able to carve her way through the invaders, but not before they left with their target. She headed off to intercept them, with [[Jetfire (G1)|Jetfire]] convincing Maximus to allow this. Arcee apparently knows of the [[Expansion]] and Jhiaxus's part in it, and refers to herself as the "servo-wrench in the works". {{storylink|Spotlight: Arcee}}
Slicing off his arm and murdering her way through [[Micromaster]]s, she finally cornered him and was surprised to find he wouldn't die—thanks to coming from the [[Dead Universe]], he was effectively immortal. Her final model, meanwhile, was used for her appearances in ''The Transformers: The Movie'', the rest of her season 3 appearances, and her Japanese ''Headmasters'' appearances.

* When asked about Arcee's design in an interview, [[Floro Dery]]'s reply was, "Arcee is the naked mechanical equivalent of Princess Leia of ''[[Star Wars (franchise)|Star Wars]]''."<ref>[http://transformersph.blogspot.com/2007/06/interview-with-floro-dery.html TransFormers Philippines: Interview With Floro Dery]</ref> Well, that answers that question... while raising a whole bunch of others!

* Arcee has the most romantic attachments of any Transformers character: Hot Rod in the movie, Marvel Comics and Dreamwave continuities, Springer after the movie, Chromedome in ''The Headmasters'', and Bumblebee in [[Devil's Due Press|Devil's Due]] continuity. And then there is the weird affection shown toward Daniel in "[[The Rebirth, Part 3]]", but most fans won't read too much into it, for their own sanity. Damn but she got around.

* Arcee's finalized character model was used to make a lot of the background female characters during the movie and season 3. Various Junkion ladies and the [[Paradron Medic]]s share her design, only without the shoulder-thingies, and a [[Cheesecake robot|more "shaped" version of her earlier model]] appeared in "[[Starscream's Ghost]]".

* The extras in "[[Spotlight: Arcee]]" reveal a few alternative color schemes [[Alex Milne]] and [[Simon Furman]] tried to get approved for IDW's version of Arcee, one blue, two red. [[Hasbro]] nixed all three, insisting on Arcee's usual coloration. Apparent reasons given were that "they didn't want her to be like the other female bots[,] so they wanted the pink look" and that "they wanted her different from <nowiki>[</nowiki>[[Elita One]]<nowiki>]</nowiki>".<ref>[http://markerguru.deviantart.com/art/arcee-cover-colors-70762649 Alex Milne's comments on IDW Arcee's colors at deviantART]</ref> If there's actually any plans on Hasbro's part to start promoting female characters other than Arcee so that these arguments make sense, as of 2010, that'd still be news.

* Around 1999, [[TakaraTomy|Takara]] released a special version of the Replica (reissue) [[Microman]] Lady Command figure as part of a [[Lucky Draw figure|lucky draw]] for "The Official Guide to Takara SF Land" book in white and gold chrome named Arcee. The regular versions of the Lady Command figure all had names starting with "A" (Ann, Alice, Annie and Ai<ref>[http://microforever.com/replicam18X.htm Replica Microman Series; Reissued Lady Command M181 Ann, M182 Alice, M183 Annie & M184 Ai (11/1999) at Microman Forever]</ref>), so Arcee makes sense by that logic - but whether this is an incarnation of "our" G1 character is currently not known. Only 5 Lady Command Arcee figures were released.<ref>[http://microforever.com/sflandprize.htm Replica Microman Series; Kodashan Takara SF Land Book Prize - Microman Lady Command Arcee (?/00) at Microman Forever]</ref>
{{disambig3|Scavenger}}
:''Scavenger is an [[Autobot]] (former Decepticon) from the [[Armada (franchise)|Armada]] portion of the [[Unicron Trilogy]] continuity family.''

[[Image:Scavengerut.jpg|right|300px|thumb|"Scavenger hates Mini-Cons."]]
A former instructor at [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]'s top military academy, '''Scavenger''' sets the bar high. It was his (and [[Landmine (Energon)|Landmine]]'s) strict training regimen for the now-legendary Autobot leader [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]] that has pushed the Autobots to countless victories. Not easily impressed, Scavenger despises cockiness and values only true skill. Like Optimus Prime, he sees potential in the young [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]]. Hot Shot is hotheaded and cocksure, especially now that he wields the [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]] sword. Scavenger sees this as a problem.

But it's nothing that can't be beaten out of him.
==Fiction==
===Dreamwave comics continuity===
====''Armada''====
A million years ago, [[Smokescreen (Armada)|Smokescreen]] and Scavenger were guarding the entrance to the [[Loop]] when [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] barged in, demanding to know where [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]] was. Smokescreen informed him that Prime was in the satellite room and asked if anything was wrong. All Hot Shot would say was that wrong didn't begin to describe the situation. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 1|Armada #1}} What had transpired was that a group of renegade Cybertronians calling themselves "[[Decepticon|Decepticons]]" were attacking [[Mini-Con]] [[Mini-Con Sector|villages]] and capturing the inhabitants for some reason. While sifting through the rubble of Village C-52, Scavenger opined that it looks like the diminutive Mini-Cons tried to put up a fight, but didn't stand a chance. Soon afterwards, [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]], the Decepticon leader, attacked [[Cyber City]], with his captured Mini-Cons re-engineered to [[Powerlinx|powerlink]] with [[Bulk|bulks]], providing them great power. The Autobots were beaten up and forced to retreat. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 2|Armada #2}}

[[Image:DreamwaveArmada4_Smokescreen_Scavenger.jpg|thumb|left|400px|]]

For a million years the civil war raged on, the once-proud Autobots struggling to defend themselves against the powerful, Mini-Con augmented Decepticons, who were in possession of Cybertron's only remaining Mini-Cons, the others having escaped at the beginning of the conflict. Hope came in the form of a Mini-Con Reactivation Signal sent from a distant world called [[Earth]] and the Autobots resolved to go there and fight for Truth, Justice and Freedom. Almost immediately after arriving on Earth, Smokescreen was destroying public property and suggesting that they simply smash their way across the planet to find the Mini-Cons, a plan that Scavenger agreed to, as Cybertron was their priority. This callous attitude earned them both a sharp, furious rebuke from Optimus Prime, who refused to stoop down to the level of the Decepticons. However, he also understood their frustration, telling them to save their anger for the Decepticons. Scavenger apologised for being out of line, suggesting that his logic chip was damaged. Unfortunately for the Autobots, the Decepticons had already arrived and were chasing after [[Sparkplug (Armada)|Sparkplug]]'s group of Mini-Cons and their human friends, [[Rad White|Rad]], [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] and [[Alexis Thi Dang|Alexis]]. Prime and Scavenger arrived just in time to smash [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] and [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]] out of the sky. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 4|Armada #4}} While Optimus Prime kept Megatron distracted by trash talking the Decepticon's failure to defeat the Autobots with all of their power, Smokescreen snuck up and demolished the cliff face Megatron was perched upon with his ''head''. Scavenger noted that at least Smokescreen didn't injure anything important. Eventually Megatron powerlinked with all of his Mini-Cons and gained the upper hand, but help came in the form of [[Jolt (Armada)|Jolt]]'s group of Mini-Cons, who powerlinked with the Autobots. [[Rollbar (Armada)|Rollbar]] linked with Scavenger, giving him extra punching power. At a tactical disadvantage, the Decepticons were forced to flee. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 5|Armada #5}}

[[Image:DWArmadaFire&Ice_Smokescreen_Scavenger.jpg|250px|thumb|Smokescreen sure knows how to kill a conversation.]]

Soon after establishing their base, Optimus detected unusually high energy readings in the vicinity of Death Valley in [[California]], and sent Smokescreen and Scavenger to investigate. After some time, they reported back that the Decepticons were readying to launch some sort of rocket. Unfortunately, the Autobots were occupied with a Mini-Con rescue operation in [[Alaska]], so [[Laserbeak (Armada)|Laserbeak]] brought them orders to do whatever was necessary to stop the Decepticons... about twenty minutes after the rocket had been launched. {{storylink|Fire & Ice}}

After arriving back from Death Valley, Smokescreen and Scavenger found an extensively damaged [[Optimus Prime (Worlds Collide)|Optimus Prime]] inside [[Autobase|Autobase: Earth]] and rushed him to the medical bay. When the others returned from Alaska sans ''their'' Optimus Prime, they worked together to save this Prime's life and find out what had happened to ''their'' Optimus Prime. Sadly, despite their best efforts, this Prime awakened only momentarily to deliver a cryptic warning about the walls of reality crumbling and the coming chaos before dying. {{storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 1 of 4}}

[[Image:DWArmada18 TheEnd Autobots Smokescreen.jpg|thumb|left|150px|]]

When the Decepticons detected the Autobots searching the [[multiverse]] for Optimus Prime, [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] launched an attack on Autobase: Earth, seizing the opportunity to hit the Autobots while their biggest guns were missing. During the battle, Smokescreen and Scavenger were the front-line defense sent to buy time. Scavenger, despite being a bulldozer, swerved out of the way of the approaching tank-mode [[Demolishor (Armada)|Demolishor]] and fell down a hill. This apparently knocked him out.

Really. {{storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 2 of 4}}

He survived the battle, but Smokescreen was seriously damaged by Megatron. {{Storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 4 of 4}} Scavenger and the others took Smokescreen to the Autobase on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] for extensive repairs, though there was a fear he might never recover. During the final battle against [[Unicron]], Scavenger, Hot Shot and Red Alert blasted Megatron into the Chaos Bringer to avenge Smokescreen. {{storylink|The End}}
{{-}}

====''Energon''====
During the peaceful times that followed Unicron's defeat, Scavenger was seen driving around in [[Cyber City]]. {{storylink|This Evil Reborn}} The peace didn't last, however, and Scavenger soon returned to Earth to defend it from the [[Terrorcon (Energon)|Terrorcons]]. He was either assigned to [[Prowl (Energon)|Prowl]]'s unit in [[Tokyo]] or [[Inferno (Energon)|Inferno]]'s unit in [[Moscow]]. {{storylink|Multiplicity, Pt. 2}}

[[Image:Pre-arm-scavenger.JPG|left|180px|thumb|GAME OVER, MAN!]]
Scavenger was hired by [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] for his skills as a mercenary and a bounty hunter for [[Mini-Con|Mini-Cons]], due to the troubles Megatron was having with the troops under his command. Scavenger claimed that at first he did not know whether to accept the contract or not, until he saw the sorry state of the Decepticons after their defeat at the hands of Hot Shot and the Star Saber. His mocking lack of respect or fear for Megatron intimidated the other Decepticons, as well as earning [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream's]] hatred.

His first appearance on Earth was during an observation of a battle between Starscream and Hot Shot. Noting that Hot Shot only won because the Star Saber sensed its wielder's inexperience, Scavenger challenged the younger Autobot and soundly beat him, despite suffering a serious wound. {{storylink|Overmatch}}

[[Image:Overmatch Scavenger-HotShotbeatdown.jpg|right|200px|thumb|DOOOOOOOODGE!!!]]

Later, it was revealed that Scavenger was in fact an Autobot spy working on the behalf of Optimus Prime. After locating [[Rollbar (Armada)|Rollbar]], he set his goal on misleading the Decepticons. It is unclear how long Scavenger posed as a Decepticon, but Megatron takes note of his "legacy" in deciding to trust him.

Scavenger performed his spy duties so well, that he surprised most of the Autobots when he turned over an important member of the [[Skyboom (Armada)|Skyboom shield]] to Megatron. Scavenger continued to serve Megatron until abruptly turning on the Decepticons and aiding Optimus Prime. Scavenger revealed his past with Prime as a teacher and fellow soldier before taking Hot Shot under his wing. Scavenger believes in hard work, but is also prone to bouts of laziness. {{storylink|Trust (Armada)|Trust}}. He served with the Autobots until the end of the [[Unicron Battles]].

[[Image:Remorse democracy.jpg |left|200px|thumb|Why...didn't...you...DOOOOODGE???]]

When Starscream defected to the Autobots, Scavenger argued in favor of accepting him, over Hot Shot's objections. Hot Shot argued that they couldn't trust someone who had betrayed his previous commander, but Scavenger put the younger bot in his place by pointing out that he himself had done much the same thing. {{storylink|Regeneration}}

Unfortunately, Starscream went on to betray the Autobots, {{storylink|Crack}} which led to [[The many deaths of Optimus Prime|Optimus Prime dying]]. {{storylink|Crisis}} Hot Shot took this particularly hard, and so Scavenger took him to an abandoned highway to knock some sense into him. Hot Shot fled, but was intercepted by the other Autobots, who gave him a long pep talk. Scavenger eventually caught up and aimed a massive punch at Hot Shot; when Hot Shot didn't flinch, Scavenger decided he was now mature and brave enough to lead the Autobots. {{storylink|Remorse}}

Scavenger participated in the battle against Galvatron's forces on Cybertron, where he rallied the surviving Autobots to help resist the Decepticons. {{storylink|Uprising}}

{{charstubfiction}}

===Panini ''Armada'' comics===
Scavenger was stationed on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] when the Decepticons were discovered on [[Earth]]'s [[Moon (moon)|moon]]. Alongside [[Smokescreen (Armada)|Smokescreen]], he was sent to the Moon via [[space bridge]], a process which he did not enjoy. The two Autobots were greeted by [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]] and [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]], who outpowered them thanks to their [[Mini-Con]]s. Scavenger was forced to retreat until an Autobot probe awakened [[Rollbar (Armada)|Rollbar]], who powerlinked with him and allowed him to drive the 'cons away. {{storylink|Panini Armada issue 6|Between Two Worlds!}}

Scavenger and Smokescreen later returned to the Moon (or maybe they were there all along) to infiltrate the Decepticons' new base. They made their way to the space bridge control room and linked the Decepticons' space bridge to the Autobot one on Earth. This allowed the Autobots to teleport two Decepticon missiles straight back into their base, which exploded behind Scavenger and Smokescreen as they drove off. {{storylink|Panini Armada issue 8|Earthshaker!}}

===''Timelines''===
With the [[Unicron Singularity]] forcing the evacuation of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], Scavenger and a number of Autobot leaders were summoned to the ''[[Iron Hope]]'', where [[Ultra Magnus (Energon)|Ultra Magnus]] dispatched them across the galaxy to locate the lost Autobot colony worlds. Scavenger was given command of the ''[[DieCast]]'' and sent to [[Zeta Persei]]. {{storylink|Force of Habit}}
: Scavenger transforms into a large green bulldozer equipped with a rear roller drum. Unusual for Transformers toys of this era, Scavenger features functional rubber caterpillar treads. Rollbar (in robot mode) can be placed inside the driver's cabin, and pressing down on the Mini-Con activates engine start up and revving sounds. Pushing Scavenger forward will cause the large purple drum wheel at the back to rotate, making driving sounds, and as he rolls forward, his shovel blade will move up and down.

: In robot mode, Scavenger has no "useful" leg articulation whatsoever. His legs are halves of the shovel blade clipped onto the purple drum wheel. Pushing Scavenger forward in robot mode rotates the wheel, moving the leg-facades up and down in a simulation of walking. Each step is accompanying by a stomp sound effect. Moving his arms up and down activates a crashing metal sound effect. Powerlinxing a Mini-Con to the active Powerlinx port on his hip then pulling it back fires a purple projectile, as well as activating a laser firing sound.
* From a design standpoint, Scavenger is essentially an homage to the [[Generation 1 (franchise)|Generation 1]] [[Constructicon (G1)|Constructicons]]. His coloring is the same distinctive green and purple of the Constructicons, his name, of course, is based off [[Scavenger (G1)|one of the Constructicons]] (while his Japanese name is the same as [[Devastator (G1)|Devastator]]'s), and his alternate form is that of a bulldozer, similar to [[Bonecrusher (G1)|another Constructicon]].

==Fiction==
===Dreamwave comics continuity===
====''Armada''====
A million years ago, [[Smokescreen (Armada)|Smokescreen]] and Scavenger were guarding the entrance to the [[Loop]] when [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] barged in, demanding to know where [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]] was. Smokescreen informed him that Prime was in the satellite room and asked if anything was wrong. All Hot Shot would say was that wrong didn't begin to describe the situation. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 1|Armada #1}} What had transpired was that a group of renegade Cybertronians calling themselves "[[Decepticon|Decepticons]]" were attacking [[Mini-Con]] [[Mini-Con Sector|villages]] and capturing the inhabitants for some reason. While sifting through the rubble of Village C-52, Scavenger opined that it looks like the diminutive Mini-Cons tried to put up a fight, but didn't stand a chance. Soon afterwards, [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]], the Decepticon leader, attacked [[Cyber City]], with his captured Mini-Cons re-engineered to [[Powerlinx|powerlink]] with [[Bulk|bulks]], providing them great power. The Autobots were beaten up and forced to retreat. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 2|Armada #2}}

[[Image:DreamwaveArmada4_Smokescreen_Scavenger.jpg|thumb|left|400px|]]

For a million years the civil war raged on, the once-proud Autobots struggling to defend themselves against the powerful, Mini-Con augmented Decepticons, who were in possession of Cybertron's only remaining Mini-Cons, the others having escaped at the beginning of the conflict. Hope came in the form of a Mini-Con Reactivation Signal sent from a distant world called [[Earth]] and the Autobots resolved to go there and fight for Truth, Justice and Freedom. Almost immediately after arriving on Earth, Smokescreen was destroying public property and suggesting that they simply smash their way across the planet to find the Mini-Cons, a plan that Scavenger agreed to, as Cybertron was their priority. This callous attitude earned them both a sharp, furious rebuke from Optimus Prime, who refused to stoop down to the level of the Decepticons. However, he also understood their frustration, telling them to save their anger for the Decepticons. Scavenger apologised for being out of line, suggesting that his logic chip was damaged. Unfortunately for the Autobots, the Decepticons had already arrived and were chasing after [[Sparkplug (Armada)|Sparkplug]]'s group of Mini-Cons and their human friends, [[Rad White|Rad]], [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] and [[Alexis Thi Dang|Alexis]]. Prime and Scavenger arrived just in time to smash [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] and [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]] out of the sky. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 4|Armada #4}} While Optimus Prime kept Megatron distracted by trash talking the Decepticon's failure to defeat the Autobots with all of their power, Smokescreen snuck up and demolished the cliff face Megatron was perched upon with his ''head''. Scavenger noted that at least Smokescreen didn't injure anything important. Eventually Megatron powerlinked with all of his Mini-Cons and gained the upper hand, but help came in the form of [[Jolt (Armada)|Jolt]]'s group of Mini-Cons, who powerlinked with the Autobots. [[Rollbar (Armada)|Rollbar]] linked with Scavenger, giving him extra punching power. At a tactical disadvantage, the Decepticons were forced to flee. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 5|Armada #5}}

[[Image:DWArmadaFire&Ice_Smokescreen_Scavenger.jpg|250px|thumb|Smokescreen sure knows how to kill a conversation.]]

Soon after establishing their base, Optimus detected unusually high energy readings in the vicinity of Death Valley in [[California]], and sent Smokescreen and Scavenger to investigate. After some time, they reported back that the Decepticons were readying to launch some sort of rocket. Unfortunately, the Autobots were occupied with a Mini-Con rescue operation in [[Alaska]], so [[Laserbeak (Armada)|Laserbeak]] brought them orders to do whatever was necessary to stop the Decepticons... about twenty minutes after the rocket had been launched. {{storylink|Fire & Ice}}

After arriving back from Death Valley, Smokescreen and Scavenger found an extensively damaged [[Optimus Prime (Worlds Collide)|Optimus Prime]] inside [[Autobase|Autobase: Earth]] and rushed him to the medical bay. When the others returned from Alaska sans ''their'' Optimus Prime, they worked together to save this Prime's life and find out what had happened to ''their'' Optimus Prime. Sadly, despite their best efforts, this Prime awakened only momentarily to deliver a cryptic warning about the walls of reality crumbling and the coming chaos before dying. {{storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 1 of 4}}

Really. {{storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 2 of 4}}

He survived the battle, but Smokescreen was seriously damaged by Megatron. {{Storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 4 of 4}} Scavenger and the others took Smokescreen to the Autobase on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] for extensive repairs, though there was a fear he might never recover. During the final battle against [[Unicron]], Scavenger, Hot Shot and Red Alert blasted Megatron into the Chaos Bringer to avenge Smokescreen. {{storylink|The End}}
{{-}}

====''Energon''====
During the peaceful times that followed Unicron's defeat, Scavenger was seen driving around in [[Cyber City]]. {{storylink|This Evil Reborn}} The peace didn't last, however, and Scavenger soon returned to Earth to defend it from the [[Terrorcon (Energon)|Terrorcons]]. He was either assigned to [[Prowl (Energon)|Prowl]]'s unit in [[Tokyo]] or [[Inferno (Energon)|Inferno]]'s unit in [[Moscow]]. {{storylink|Multiplicity, Pt. 2}}
:''Voice actor:'' [[Ward Perry]] (English), [[Keiji Fujiwara]] (Japanese), [[Staffan Lindberg]] (Swedish)

His first appearance on Earth was during an observation of a battle between Starscream and Hot Shot. Noting that Hot Shot only won because the Star Saber sensed its wielder's inexperience, Scavenger challenged the younger Autobot and soundly beat him, despite suffering a serious wound. {{storylink|Overmatch}}

When Starscream defected to the Autobots, Scavenger argued in favor of accepting him, over Hot Shot's objections. Hot Shot argued that they couldn't trust someone who had betrayed his previous commander, but Scavenger put the younger bot in his place by pointing out that he himself had done much the same thing. {{storylink|Regeneration}}

Unfortunately, Starscream went on to betray the Autobots, {{storylink|Crack}} which led to [[The many deaths of Optimus Prime|Optimus Prime dying]]. {{storylink|Crisis}} Hot Shot took this particularly hard, and so Scavenger took him to an abandoned highway to knock some sense into him. Hot Shot fled, but was intercepted by the other Autobots, who gave him a long pep talk. Scavenger eventually caught up and aimed a massive punch at Hot Shot; when Hot Shot didn't flinch, Scavenger decided he was now mature and brave enough to lead the Autobots. {{storylink|Remorse}}

Scavenger participated in the battle against Galvatron's forces on Cybertron, where he rallied the surviving Autobots to help resist the Decepticons. {{storylink|Uprising}}

{{charstubfiction}}

===Panini ''Armada'' comics===
Scavenger was stationed on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] when the Decepticons were discovered on [[Earth]]'s [[Moon (moon)|moon]]. Alongside [[Smokescreen (Armada)|Smokescreen]], he was sent to the Moon via [[space bridge]], a process which he did not enjoy. The two Autobots were greeted by [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]] and [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]], who outpowered them thanks to their [[Mini-Con]]s. Scavenger was forced to retreat until an Autobot probe awakened [[Rollbar (Armada)|Rollbar]], who powerlinked with him and allowed him to drive the 'cons away. {{storylink|Panini Armada issue 6|Between Two Worlds!}}

Scavenger and Smokescreen later returned to the Moon (or maybe they were there all along) to infiltrate the Decepticons' new base. They made their way to the space bridge control room and linked the Decepticons' space bridge to the Autobot one on Earth. This allowed the Autobots to teleport two Decepticon missiles straight back into their base, which exploded behind Scavenger and Smokescreen as they drove off. {{storylink|Panini Armada issue 8|Earthshaker!}}

===''Timelines''===
With the [[Unicron Singularity]] forcing the evacuation of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], Scavenger and a number of Autobot leaders were summoned to the ''[[Iron Hope]]'', where [[Ultra Magnus (Energon)|Ultra Magnus]] dispatched them across the galaxy to locate the lost Autobot colony worlds. Scavenger was given command of the ''[[DieCast]]'' and sent to [[Zeta Persei]]. {{storylink|Force of Habit}}
