:Dr. Arkeville is a human character in the Generation 1 continuity family.

Doctor Arkeville is a so-called Evil Genius recruited by Megatron. The nature and history of his mechanical attachments and limbs are never explained.

Dr. Arkeville was offered the chance to rule the world by Megatron, in exchange for the technology to hypnotize humans to use as slaves. What Megatron didn't tell him, however, was that his plan would likely destroy the Earth.

Dr. Arkeville was kidnapped by Starscream, who used several of his inventions with the intention of using them to blow up the Earth, and then siphon all the released energy. The Doctors attempt to stop this resulted in a near-lethal shock. He later woke up, tied to a chair being completely rebuilt into a robot body in order to save his life.
One night, the disembodied spirit of Starscream possessed the E.D.C. Kiss Player Atari Hitotonari. The ghostly Decepticon forced the young girl to go to Dr. Arkeville, who built him a new body from a fighter jet that the scientist had previously stolen.

Naming controversy
*Dr. Arkeville's name is sometimes spelled Archeville.

Dreadwing is the combined mode of the Decepticon Powermasters Darkwing and Dreadwind.

An atypical example of a Generation 1 combiner, as they combine into a large jet, rather than the more common large robot.

Their first comic appearance was in Marvel US Transformers #42. The characters of Darkwing and Dreadwind weren't fleshed out especially well, so there was little evidence of an emergent personality for Dreadwing, as seen with some other G1 combiners.
