:Gaihawk is a Decepticon Breastforce warrior from the Victory portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Gaihawk (ガイホーク Gaihōku) is one of the founding members of Deathsaurus's Breastforce. Cold and somber, Gaihawk hates those who claim to have "character" and perfect principles, and as such, he really loathes Autobots of all shapes and sizes. In particular, Greatshot really ruffles his feathers; Gaihawk used to work with him on the mercenary circuit, and for him to see his old partner in crime turn to the side of the angels is nothing short of sickening. Gaihawk doesn't practise what he preaches, though; despite his hatred of the pretence of perfection in others, he always tries to make himself come off as perfect. He boasts about his skills, he's always the first into battle and the last to leave, he hates it when he is defeated, and he will always pass the buck if he gets blamed for something.

In jet mode, Gaihawk's speed exceeds even that of his commanding officer, Leozack. He is capable of unleashing a hellish storm of laser fire from above, rendering even the toughest of enemies to piles of smoldering ash. In robot mode he wields the power of the "Ice Needle", an attack which allows him to fire an onslaught of daggers forged from super-cooled plasma from his hands, capable of tearing through even the toughest of metals. His chest plate, Hawkbreast, can detach and transform into a hawk-like attack partner or the handheld "Hawk Cannon" blaster. Like his fellow Breastforcers, Gaihawk is also armed with an electromagnetic nunchaku.

Gaihawk can combine with his Breastforce teammates to form Liokaiser, forming the right arm of the super robot.

Some time before Star Saber assumed command of the Autobot forces, the Autobot hero apprehended Gaihawk and had him sentenced to imprisonment on the Satellite Penitentiary on the moon of planet Micro. Separated from his Hawkbreast, Gaihawk was put to work with other prisoners, gathering energy from the moon's rivers of magma. Gaihawk made no friends or alliances within the ranks of prisoners, caring nothing for any of them; once, when one hapless convict fell into a lava river and was able to grab onto Gaihawk's leg as he was swept past him, Gaihawk ignored his pleas to be pulled to safety, and kicked him off, sending him spiralling off to his molten doom.

In 2025, Gaihawk's old Breastforce comrades came to planet Micro with the intention of liberating him, so that they could once again merge into the giant robot, Liokaiser, and defeat Star Saber. When the Breastforce attacked the penitentiary, the prison staff, realizing their objective, attempted to transfer Gaihawk to a safer location. Unfortunately for the guards transferring him, the sneaky Decepticon had concealed a blade, and slashed his way through their ranks to freedom. Making his way through the prison corridors, he soon came upon fellow Breastforcer Hellbat, who was in the process of searching for him. Hellbat cheerfully greeted him, but Gaihawk threw him aside and demanded he take him to the prison's energy room. Using the stockpiled energy, Gaihawk recharged himself to full power and freed his Hawkbreast from the cage in which it had been kept. Seconds later, Gaihawk was confronted by Greatshot, who had been ordered into the prison by Star Saber, but Gaihawk was unaware that his old friend had joined the Autobots, and reacted with disgust when Hellbat informed him of this fact. Old friend or not, Gaihawk had no compunctions about engaged in a firefight with Greatshot, which culminated in a face-off on the walkway above the prison's magma vat. Impaling Greatshot with his Ice Needle attack. Gaihawk sent his foe tumbling towards the lava, but could not stick around to see the job finished as the prison began exploding around them. Rescue! Gaihawk

Leozack soon called a meeting to formally welcome Gaihawk back into the ranks of the Breastforce, during which Gaihawk was warmly received by all the assembled members. When a surprised Gaihawk asked when Hellbat was absent, Leozack explained that he was completely untrustworthy, and that he had already arranged to replace Hellbat with another old comrade, Deathcobra. Soon, however, Hellbat arrived with the news that the Autobots had killed Deathcobra. In actuality, Hellbat had accidentally killed Deathcobra himself when he had attempted to persuade him to leave so that he could keep his place on the team, but he blamed the death on the Autobot Holi, and led the other unaware Breastforcers in a "retaliatory" attack. During the fight, Gaihawk got the chance to deliver the killing shot to Holi, but his Hawkbreast was suddenly blasted from his hand by the dramatic arrival of Star Saber. Relishing the chance for revenge against the Autobot who had imprisoned him, Gaihawk combined with the rest of the Breastforce combined into Liokaiser for the first time in years, and together, they were actually able to defeat Star Saber in combat. Unite! Liokaiser The team then returned to Earth, where Deathsaurus heaped praise upon Gaihawk, frustrating Leozack to no end. Battle Up of Wrath!!

Gaihawk joined the Breastforce in numerous subsequently missions, raiding energy from America's Schaeffer Energy plant Battle Up of Wrath!! and Antarctica's subterranean oil wells, {{storylink|Fight to the Death!! During the latter mission, Gaihawk distinguished himself by using the power of his Ice Needle to damage the combiner Road Caesar so badly that he was forced to disengage, but he lost his composure when Greatshot appeared on the scene, and he immediately took to the air in pursuit of revenge against his traitorous old friend. The arrival of Star Saber forced the villains to retreat, much to Gaihawk's chagrin. Crisis! Ambush in the Desert

Eager to hunt Greatshot down, Gaihawk assembled the Breastforce to aid him in the search, and clashed with Leozack, who was furious that his subordinate has superseded his authority for so trivial a goal. Fortunately, before the two could come to blows, Deathsaurus gave the Breastforce a new mission: join him in ambushing Star Saber in Asia. A Deadly Battle While Star Saber survived the ambush, God Ginrai was fatally wounded, and the Decepticons capitalized upon the Autobots' reduced manpower by increasing the frequency of their attacks. Gaihawk joined the Breastforce in pillaging energy from a solar power station Ginrai Dies!! then later helped attack the Mount Asama geothermal power plant, only to be shot out of the sky by Victory Leo, the reborn form of God Ginrai. {{storylink|Awaken!

When Deathsaurus used the threat of orbital missile bombardment to keep the Autobots at bay, Gaihawk, Jarugar and Killbison were able to freely steal energy, pausing only in their evil deeds to mock the helpless Autobots who were watching. Deathsaurus's plan was foiled when Star Saber fused for the first time with Victory Leo into Victory Saber and bested him in combat. {{storylink|The Tide is Turned!
Soon after, Gaihawk helped unleash the metal-eating Dorya insects upon the Autobots, The Death-Bringing Space Insects!! then went on to participate in the Decepticons' theft of energy from the ancient continent of Atlantis. The Terror of the Giant Tidal Waves With this Atlantean energy in their clutches, the Breastforce and Deathsaurus headed into space about the Thunder Arrow, planning to use the stolen energy to recharge Deathsaurus's Planet-Destroying Fortress. The Autobots pursued the villains, but were unable to stop them from bringing the fortress back online. The Wrath of the Resurrected Giant Fortress! To keep the Autobots busy while the fortress's main cannon charged, Deathsaurus dispatched the Breastforce - combined as Liokasier - to battle them. In the course of the clash, Victory Leo was able to blast Liokaiser into the fortress's cannon barrel, which drained his energy dry. With his consciousness fading and his body unable to move, Liokaiser could only utter a fading scream for help as he drifted off into the depths of space. {{storylink|Showdown! Gaihawk debuted at the feet of Deathsaurus, as he knelt to inform his emperor that Leozack had gone off on a solo mission, foolishly believing that he could conquer Earth on his own. Leozack Rumbles Violently! After Leozack was defeated by Star Saber, Gaihawk and the rest of the Breastforce took the Autobot leader on, only to be taken out by a single slash of his Saber Blade. Warrior of Love, Star Saber!

Later, Gaihawk and the other Breastforcers combined into Liokaiser to battle Star Saber on Energy Planet X. When the combiner warrior managed to seize Star Saber, his individual components began arguing over who would get right to destroy the Autobot leader; "the Great Gaihawk" believed he had earned the right to do the deed. Star Saber exploited the opening to turn the battle around, and Liokaiser was defeated and escaped. The Star of Friendship, Jean and Star Saber! In their next battle with Star Saber, the Breastforce almost had him defeated thanks to the aid of Deathsaurus and Dinoking, but the tables were turned when Star Saber merged with new arrival Victory Leo, to form Victory Saber. The Strongest Partners, the Combination of Victory!

In their next battle, Liokasier and Deathsaurus were defeated by the Autobots' "Five Stars of Victory" attack technique, and Liokaiser split back into Gaihawk and the rest of the Breastforce to flee back to Deathsaurus's "Space Stronghold". Shine! The Five Stars of Victory From the stronghold, the Decepticons began a final attack on Earth, bombarding the planet with meteors, but the Autobots succeeded in thwarting their scheme, despite a bit of attempted treachery courtesy of Leozack. At the battle's end, Deathsaurus revealed that the fortress was home to the Decepticons' families and children, and that they had been fighting to keep them safe. Struck by this revelation, Star Saber decided that it was time for the Autobots and Decepticons to lay down their arms, and live in peace - the truest victory of all! {{storylink|Heroic! Braver is the brains of his team—and when his team is named the Brainmasters, that's really saying something. Braver loves to tinker and create, being something of a mad scientist, but his child-like charm and creativity are tempered with the good sense to work on a small scale and not to turn on his creations until the kinks are worked out, leaving him a little less prone to self-injury than certain other scientists. And just because he's a brain doesn't mean Braver is lacking as a warrior—he is an accomplished fighter, capable of holding his own against two or three opponents at a time and employing complicated strategies and manoeuvres on the battlefield with ease.

As a Brainmaster, Braver possesses incredible skill, strength, intelligence and courage. Among the group, it should not be surprising to learn that Braver exemplifies intelligence in particular; his smallest robot form is the Brain of Intelligence, which combines with a Transtector that transforms into a sports car. In robot mode, Braver can eject oil from the soles of his feet and then proceed to run around his opponents at super speed, igniting the oil in a technique known as his blazing "Brain Hellfire" attack. Braver combines with his fellow Brainmasters Blacker and Laster into Road Caesar, forming the left leg of the super robot.
As a member of the Sector One unit of the Galactic Peace Alliance's Galactic Defense Force, Braver helped his fellow Brainmasters defend the sector against the evil advances of Decepticon Emperor of Destruction Deathsaurus. Eventually, the villains' attacks escalated to the point where Autobot Supreme Commander Star Saber was forced to join the fight. On the day Star Saber was due to arrive to take command of the Sector One force, the Decepticon Dinoforce attacked the human lunar base on Earth's moon, and Braver and the Brainmasters engaged the bumbling do-badders in battle. During the course of the fight, Braver was knocked into a chasm by Gōryū, and by the time he was able to extricate himself, Star Saber had arrived and ended the trouble. The Brave Hero of the Universe - Star Saber
Braver and the Brainmasters later helped save Wingwaver from the menace of the Dinoforce's combined form of Dinoking, {{storylink|Sneak Attack! Dinoking|Sneak Attack! When word reached the Autobots of a Decepticon attack on the Neo Uranium Mines, Braver, Laster and Wingwaver used a sonic drill to burrow through the cave wall and get the drop on the Decepticons. When the team hit bedrock, Braver came up with the plan to have the trio use their own energy to super-charge the drill. The tactic proved successful, and the Breastforce were routed, {{storylink|Infiltration... The Uranium Mine|Infiltration...
Looking for a way to make the Autobots more proactive in their war against the Decepticons, Braver invented a brainwave scanner that could pick up Decepticon signals. Jean and Holi arrived in his lab just as he was putting the finishing touches to the prototype device, and when he turned it on to show them how it worked, all three were quite surprised to discover it was picking up a Decepticon signal in the vicinity. The signal belonged to the newest member of the Breastforce, Hellbat, and the Autobots immediately headed out to ambush the new Deception and his teammates. Unfortunately, Hellbat's hypnosis powers had the team on the ropes until Braver had a literal brainstorm and inverted the polarity of his brainwave scanner, turning it into a brainwave scrambler. The scrambling waves quickly forced the Decepticon to retreat, although just as they were pulling out, Leozack snatched the brainwave scanner and spirited it away with him. Although he knew the Decepticons couldn't use the device for evil, since it only worked on their brains, Braver was irritated at having his only copy of the device stolen, knowing it would take him some time before he would be able to build a new scanner. The New Warrior - Hellbat
Blacker discovered that the Breastforce were threatening to blow up Marine City with a neutron bomb if Barons payload was not delivered to them. Braver and the Brainmasters scoured the city for the bomb and came up empty-handed, until Blacker snuck out to sea and listened in on the villains as they pillaged the Baron, discovering that the bomb was hidden in the city's Marine Tower. While his teammates took on the Decepticons, Braver raced to the top of the tower and put his scientific expertise to use defusing and dismantling the bomb, accomplishing the task without a second to spare. Tanker Hijack Operation This still wasn't the end of the oil tanker fad, though, as the Brainmasters soon found themselves fending off another attempt by the Breastforce to plunder a fleet of the ships. Rescue Jean!!
Before long, the Brainmaster leader had the truth of the matter wrung from his subordinates and ordered Braver and Laster to aid Star Saber on the battlefield. With the Autobot forces in disarray, the Decepticons continued their high-pressure attack techniques. Braver and Laster joined Star Saber in battling the Breastforce at a solar power station, but Star Saber soon received a summons from the Shuttle Base, calling him to the dying Ginrai's beside. As Star Saber hesitated, Braver barked at his commander to depart right away. Braver reasoned that Ginrai was aware that Star Saber would not readily leave a battle, and so must have had good reason to call on him. Star Saber followed Braver's advice, but without their commander's power, the two Brainmasters were soon defeated. Ginrai Dies!! Soon after, Braver, Laster and Landcross went up against Leozack, Hellbat and Dinoking on America's "Energy Road", and they emerged triumphant through the aid of Victory Leo, the reborn form of God Ginrai. {{storylink|Fight!! When Deathsaurus unleashed his newest weapon—super smart-missiles launched from an orbital weapons platform that could strike anywhere on Earth faster than the Autobots could react—the Autobots were forced to stay their hands and allow the Decepticons to carry out energy thefts for fear of explosive reprisal. Braver and the Brainmasters had to speed to Pakistan to inform Victory Leo of the situation before he attacked the Dinoforce. Unable to do anything but watch the Dinoforce steal right in front of them, the Brainmasters were pushed to the breaking point, until Star Saber and Victory Leo revealed their new power: They combined into Victory Saber and outraced Deathsaurus's missile launch system, successfully destroying it and freeing up the Brainmasters to make short work of the Decepticons. {{storylink|The Tide is Turned! While Star Saber was off-planet attending a Galactic Peace Alliance conference, Leozack exploited his absence by donning an exo-skeleton that allowed him to pose as the Autobot leader and infiltrate the Shuttle Base. Victory Leo could tell that something was not right, but Braver and the Brainmasters would not hear his allegations. They were nearly duped into attacking Victory Leo by the faux Star Saber, but the return of the real deal and the exposure of Leozack's plot left them eating crow. {{storylink|A Mystery?! A month of Decepticon inactivity finally allowed Braver to recreate, perfect and mass-produce his brainwave scanner. Five completed units were distributed amongst the Autobots, and they successfully allowed the heroes to discover the Decepticons were in the process of raising Atlantis. Braver and the Brainmasters aided in relief efforts for the coastal cities devastated by tidal waves caused by the raising of the continent, The Terror of the Giant Tidal Waves and then headed out into space alongside Greatshot to serve as the first line of defense against Deathsaurus's Planet-Destroying Fortress, which had finally been reactivated by the energy stolen from the ancient ruins. The Brainmasters combined into Road Caesar, but were no match for the fortress's power, so they were sent back to Earth to recuperate by Victory Saber when he arrived to take up the fight. The Wrath of the Resurrected Giant Fortress! The team's injuries prevented them from aiding their commander in the final battle with the fortress, but in the end, Star Saber emerged victorious and destroyed the planet-killing weapon.
When Deathsaurus began his campaign against the Earth in 2025, Braver and the Brainmasters didn't roll onto the battlefield right away, being instructed by Star Saber to remain behind on Planet V while he and the Multiforce took on Deathsaurus and the Dinoforce. {{storylink|Magnificent! When Star Saber's human son Jean befriended two old human allies of the Autobots, Shūta Gō and Cab, the three young lads soon formed the "Autobot Boy Team" known as the Victories, donning armor based on the Brainmasters. Inspired by the example their two sons had set, Star Saber and Deathsaurus declared a truce, and peace came to the Transformers...the truest victory of all! {{storylink|Heroic!
:Braver transforms into Ferrari F40 sports car. His transformation is notably simplistic for his size, but is a consequence of the Brainmaster gimmick which dominates his torso. Placing the small "Brain of Intelligence" figure into the open chest cavity then closing the plate pushes the inner core of the small robot up, forming the larger robot's face. As with the other Brainmasters, the Brain of Intelligence is designed to look like a miniature version of Braver's larger robot mode. While Braver is in vehicle mode, the Brain of Intelligence rides in his hinged cockpit.

:Braver is equipped with a quite a few weapons, coming with a sword, a chunky blaster, and a shield with additional gun barrels built in that mounts on his arm. When Braver is in vehicle mode, his shield and blaster combine to form an elaborate weapons array that mounts on his roof. Braver also combines with Laster and Blacker (sold separately) to form Road Caesar, forming the left leg of the super robot. His weapons form integral parts of Road Caesar; his blaster transforms into the right fist, his shield unfolds into a large shin-guard-esque plate that forms the front of his left leg, with foot attached, and his sword combines with those of his teammates to create a large blade for Road Caesar to wield.

*Braver's Brainmaster figure has for years been (and continues to be) incorrectly referred to by fans with the names "Chie" and "Siet", mistakenly derived from Japanese words meaning "intelligence". In truth, like all Brainmaster units, it does not have a proper name, but is known simply by the title used in this article, the "Brain of Intelligence".
*Braver was among the Generation 1 characters whose animation models were recycled and recolored as generic Transformers in the Armada animated series. A purple Braver with an extra shoulder shield (sans guns) was seen on Cybertron in the episode "First Encounter" (seen at right), while two versions of the model (one blue and red, the other blue and white, both with his gun-shield on the wrong arm) appeared in a flashback in "Prehistory".
:Star Saber is an Autobot from the Victory portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Famed throughout the length and breadth of the cosmos as the greatest swordsman in the universe, the heroic Star Saber has ascended from humble beginnings to the lofty position of Supreme Commander of the Autobots and head of the interplanetary Galactic Defense Force. Protector of the weak, defender of the defenceless and lover of life in all its forms, Star Saber's heart burns with an unending passion for justice and peace unequalled by any other, which drives him to quash evil wherever he finds it, with a cry of "Let's say go!" This idealism is perhaps best evidenced in his adoption of the orphaned human child, Jean Minakaze, as his own son, for whom he cares deeply.

Star Saber is a member of the powerful sub-group known as the Brainmasters, who possess incredible courage, strength, skill and intelligence. Star Saber exemplifies courage in particular: his smallest robot form is the Brain of Courage (勇気のブレイン Yūki no Brain), which connects to a Transtector to become the robot known as Saber. In either robot or jet mode, Saber connects to the mobile battle platform named the V-Star with a cry of "Battle Up!" to become Star Saber. Furthermore, in either mode, Star Saber is capable of linking up with his team-mate Victory Leo to become Victory Saber. In this form, Star Saber's speed and power are greatly enhanced, but at times, Victory Leo's savage personality can override his calm and collected nature.
As a child, Star Saber was a paragon of good behaviour. He was never greedy, so he never had to sneak food, and he never once wet the bed and got scolded for it. He was, however, still a fun-loving kid, who would zoom around on a skateboard while wearing his bedsheet as a cape.

Around 500,000 years ago, when Star Saber was a commander in the Autobot army, the powerful Decepticon warrior Deathsaurus threatened the galaxy with his colossal Planet-Destroying Fortress. Star Saber lead a garrison of Autobots in an assault against the fortress, and battled Deathsaurus personally while his troops planted gravity boosters on the fortress's surface. The boosters de-energized the fortress and trapped it in a gravity cell at the heart of the Dark Nebula, forever earning Star Saber the enmity of Deathsaurus. {{storylink|Resurrection!? Several years before 2025, Star Saber was appointed Supreme Commander of the Autobots, and consulted his friend, God Ginrai, on whether or not he should take the job. Ginrai Dies!! Star Saber accepted the role, and by extension, became head of the Galactic Peace Alliance's Galactic Defense Force, dedicated to protecting planets all throughout the galaxy from the renewed threat of the Decepticons under the command of Deathsaurus, who had succeeded in his quest to become Emperor of Destruction. The Brave Hero of the Universe - Star Saber In one of these attacks, a human spacecraft was destroyed by the Dinoforce, killing all on board, save for a baby that had been placed in an escape pod.
In 2025, Deathsaurus's attacks on Earth's sector of space intensified, leading Star Saber to make preparations to leave the Autobots' base on Planet V and personally take command of the defense force unit stationed in Earth's sector. After saving the small frontier community of Iron Town from a pair of Decepticon desperadoes, Star Saber returned to base to a report of an attack by the Dinoforce on the Lunar Base on Earth's moon and immediately headed to the scene. As he drew close to the moon, Deathsaurus appeared to bar his way, and the two old foes battled while Blacker, Braver and Laster clashed with the Dinoforce. Star Saber broke the fight off when Jean alerted him to the worsening battle on the moon's surface, and he proceeded to dispatch the Dinoforce with ease before Deathsaurus caught up to him and their battle continued. Battling his way through Deathsaurus's Breast Animals, Star Saber emerged victorious, and the Decepticons fled. The Brave Hero of the Universe - Star Saber The Autobots proceeded to transport the human staff of the damaged Lunar Base back to Earth aboard their Shuttle Base, but when they came under attack from the Dinoforce again, Star Saber split himself into Saber and the V-Star to defeat their combined robot form of Dinoking. {{storylink|Sneak Attack!

Operating out of the Shuttle Base, Star Saber's Autobots took Earth as a second home of sorts, and staged all their operations from there. Star Saber enrolled Jean at school, flying him there personally for his first day and giving the headmistress quite a shock. Unfortunately for everyone, Star Saber's presence at the school attracted the attention of the Decepticon Breastforcer Leozack, who put the student body in mortal danger when he attacked. Star Saber separated from the V-Star and had Jean use it to carry the students to safety while he tackled Leozack and the Dinoforce. When the students were safe, Saber recombined with the V-Star, and defeated Leozack and Dinoking with the aid of Road Caesar. Attack! Leozack

When the Breastforce began draining electrical energy from a major American subway system, Star Saber proved too large to venture into the tunnels to investigate, and had to divide into Saber and the V-Star to proceed. Investigating the power distribution centre, Saber was confronted by Deathsaurus, and in the cramped quarters of the building, proved to be no match for the villain's nimble Breast Animals. Directing the V-Star to crash into Deathsaurus, Saber forced the Decepticon to block the craft, thereby leaving his unprotected chest open for attack and allowing Saber to impale him with his sword. Thus wounded, Deathsaurus fled, leaving Saber victorious once more. Big City - Underground Terror
Jean proved resourceful enough to escape his cell and contact Star Saber, who came to his rescue, defeating Dinoking by collapsing a mountain on him. Rescue Jean!! Not long after, Star Saber and the Multiforce thwarted a Decepticon hydroelectric power-gathering scheme. Mach and Tackle
The strange disappearance of several spaceships while passing through the asteroid belt led Star Saber to investigate, disguising himself as an ordinary spacecraft with a large exoskeleton. Venturing into the asteroid belt, Star Saber discovered that the vanishing ships were the work of the Decepticons when the villains caught him in a tractor beam. Luckily, he avoided detection long enough to summon the other Autobots to his location, and bested the Breastforce single-handed in the ensuing battle. {{storylink|A Fierce Battle!! When the occupied God Ginrai was unable to respond to an attack by Hellbat and two mercenaries in his employ on the planet Micro, Star Saber was forced to travel to the planet to investigate. With the aid of Greatshot, Star Saber defeated the villains, but had push his strength to its limit to wrench an overloading power plant from its moorings with his bare hands and fly it into space to prevent the devastation its explosion would have caused. Planet Micro - The Mysterious Warrior Soon after, the Breastforce attacked Micro's satellite penitentiary in an attempt to free their comrade Gaihawk, and despite fighting hard, Star Saber was unable to prevent the Decepticons' escape. {{storylink|Rescue! Although Deathsaurus actually pulled the trigger on what would have been a fatal blast, it was simple luck for Star Saber that Deathsaurus had already used up too much of his personal energy supply, leaving the cannon unable to fire. {{storylink|Resurrection!? When a battle with Deathsaurus in the desert left Star Saber and Blacker wounded, {{storylink|Crisis! Ambush in the Desert|Crisis! Star Saber was in space seeing Perceptor off when the Dinoforce attacked Jean's school, leaving the boy to defend his friends as best he could in his mech, the Illumina II, before Star Saber was able to come to his aid. After defeating Dinoking, however, Star Saber was surprised to have the battered Dinoforce troops clutch at his legs and throw themselves in his path in an attempted to save their leader, Gōryū. A month later, after no further Decepticon attacks, Star Saber and the Autobots were suddenly forced to go into action when the Decepticons raised Atlantis off the coast of Portugal. Disasters caused by the tidal waves the raising of the continent had created kept the Autobots occupied with relief efforts, allowing the Decepticons to steal enough of Atlantis's energy to finally re-power Deathsaurus's fortress. The Terror of the Giant Tidal Waves Greatshot and the Brainmasters headed out to serve as the first line of defence against the fortress, while Star Saber and Victory Leo found themselves delayed by the Dinoforce, who had—unbeknownst even to themselves—been abandoned on Earth by Deathsaurus. Victory Saber did not regain consciousness until the fortress was nearly upon the Earth, and immediately renewed his attack on the massive weapon, leading Deathsaurus to dispatch Liokaiser to keep Victory Saber busy. Just as the two combatants engaged each other, Jean arrived on the scene in the Illumina II, having been giving information on the fortress's weak spot by Goryū, who had realized that Deathsaurus had abandoned him and his troops. Star Saber separated from Victory Leo, leaving his partner to deal with Liokaiser while he covered his son's entrance into the fortress. Within the fortress, Star Saber faced off against Deathsaurus for their final brutal battle, eventually besting his eternal foe just as Jean succeeded in destroying the fortress's weapon power core. Deathsaurus refused to accept defeat, and sealed Star Saber in the fortress, setting it on collision course with Earth, but with help from Victory Leo, Star Saber escaped. The pair then merged into Victory Saber and, burning with flaming energy, tore the fortress apart from within, causing it to explode in a cosmic firestorm before it collided with Earth. Although the pair initially seemed as through they were destroyed in the conflagration, both Star Saber and Victory Leo emerged from its ashes, just as victorious as their name. {{storylink|Showdown! Leozack begged Star Saber not to destroy the fortress, at which point the injured Deathsaurus chose to reveal the true reason for his energy-gathering attacks on Earth to the Autobots: the fortress was, in fact, home to the Decepticons' wives and children, and they required the energy to keep the fortress functional for them to live in. Star Saber realized that it was time to set aside their warring ways and follow the example set by Jean and Solon. Saber's jet-mode wings are a separate piece that is removed, as are the V-Star's tailfins, and to combine the pair, rather than fold up Saber's legs, you simply pull them off and plug them into his chest. * The longterm relationship between Star Saber and Deathsaurus since childhood is not the only one in the Transformers franchise.

* Star Saber's Brainmaster figure has for years been (and continues to be) incorrectly referred to by fans with the names "Yuki" and "Yukio", mistakenly derived from the Japanese word meaning "courage" (勇気 yūki). In truth, like all Brainmaster units, it does not have a proper name, but is known simply by the title used in this article, the "Brain of Courage".

*Star Saber's altmode, a red & blue fighter jet that combines with a white add-on, appears to be based on Mobile Suit Gundams Core Booster.

Star Saber recovered the child, Jean Minakaze, and adopted him as his own son. Attack! Leozack

Sneak Attack! Dinoking

Attack! Leozack

Star Saber later battled Dinoking again at an energy plant, this time with the aid of Landcross, Unite!! Multiforce

When Leozack called in his newest Breastforce recruit Hellbat, Star Saber went up against the pair several times, joining the other Autobots in battling through Hellbat's hypnotic waves, The New Warrior - Hellbat and splitting into Saber and the V-Star to take on the two at once when they stole energy from a Nevada spaceport. Attack the Shuttle Base!! Star Saber later joined with the Brainmasters in saving Marine City from the threat of a neutron bomb, giving Blacker the V-Star so he could search for the bomb while he battled Leozack as Saber. Tanker Hijack Operation Later, while Star Saber was busy leading the Autobots in an attack against Leozack and most of the Breastforce, Hellbat kidnapped Jean and Holi.

Gaihawk|Rescue! Indeed, Star Saber would have died at Liokaiser's hands had God Ginrai not arrived in time to rescue him. Unite! Liokaiser

Star Saber stared death in the face once again on the return trip to Earth when he was attacked by Deathsaurus and confronted by the emperor's deadly Living-Metal-Destroying Cannon. Although Deathsaurus actually pulled the trigger on what would have been a fatal blast, it was simple luck for Star Saber that Deathsaurus had already used up too much of his personal energy supply, leaving the cannon unable to fire. Resurrection!? The Decepticon Fortress Once back on Earth, Star Saber steeled himself for another confrontation with Liokaiser, and found himself having to soothe the fears of Jean, who was having nightmares of his father's demise. When Liokaiser struck again at the Schaeffer Energy production plant, Star Saber held his own in the fight, but a definitive outcome was not to be had, since Deathsaurus ordered a retreat when the plant's energy was successfully stolen. Battle Up of Wrath!! Another battle between Star Saber and Liokaiser soon followed, this time at the South Pole, where Star Saber was again defeated by the combiner, and would have met his end had Deathsaurus not interrupted and attempted to claim the honor for himself. This momentary distraction allowed Star Saber to turn the tables and defeat Deathsaurus while an insulted Liokaiser did nothing but watch his leader lose. {{storylink|Fight to the Death!!

As Victory Saber and Dinoking battled, the fortress began bombarding the Earth with meteor bombs, one of which struck Dinoking and ended the battle. Victory Saber proceeded to head into space to confront the fortress, but was blasted by its weapons and crashed on its surface, unconscious. The Wrath of the Resurrected Giant Fortress!
:A smaller, simplified version of the Star Saber toy, the Robot Masters version of the figure eliminates the base mode and Saber's Brainmaster component. Aside from this, however, he is virtually identical to the original Star Saber figure in transformation and weaponry, including his ability to combine with the Robot Masters version of Victory Leo to form Victory Saber, & as a small compensation for losing two of his gimmicks, the figure has also been redesigned with more show-accurate proportions & is generally nicer to look at.
Parody Deformed
*Victory Saber (1990)

:A small white and red, non-transforming super-deformed model kit of Victory Saber was available as part of Kabaya's "Parody Deformed" line of candy toys. The second figure in the series, he came with a "Transformer PD Type" comic about himself, "He's Here! Victory Saber!!", and something that could charitably be described as "gum".

*Star Saber (1990)

:A Parody Deformed version of Star Saber alone was later made available in the next wave of the line. As the fifth figure of the series, he came with the "Transformer PD Type" comic "Don't Lose! Star Saber!!" and something accused of being chocolate.
Super Collection Figure
*Star Saber (2002)

:A PVC of Star Saber was released in the seventh Victory-centric wave of Takara's "Super Collection Figure" line. Like all figures in the wave, he was available in both full color and metallic silver "pewter" versions.
:Additionally, the figure could be "transformed" into Victory Saber by attaching a collection of six additional parts, one of each of which were included with the pewter versions of the six figures in the line in the tradition of "Build-A-Figures" from waves past. The pewter Star Saber himself came packaged with Victory Saber's V-Lock Rifles; his backpack came with Road Caesar, his wings came with Deathsaurus, his rifle came with Perceptor, his left boot came with Liokaiser and his right boot came with Wheekjack. Like the figures themselves, the parts came in both standard full-color (at a rate of 8 out of 10 cases) and rare pewter (only 2 out of every 10 cases) variations, making two versions of Victory Saber to complete.

*Victory Saber (2002)

:The seventh wave of the Super Collection Figure line also included a complete Victory Saber figure, entirely in metallic golden in color, which was only available as a rare "chase" figure at a rate of 1 in 10 ten cases.

Mega Super Collection Figure
*Star Saber (2002)
**Accessories: "Saber Blade", 2 left hands, 2 right hands, 2 heads

:Mega Super Collection Figure Star Saber is a five inch tall posable PVC action figure. He comes replete with a collection of additional body parts, including two "open" hands and two "closed" hands, the later being used to grip onto his Saber Blade sword. He also includes two heads: his unmasked "Saber" head, and his masked "Star Saber" visage. Although he cannot transform, Star Saber can combine with the simultaneously-released Victory Leo Mega SCF figure to form Victory Saber.
Notes
