A shambling, slavering Frankenstein monster of [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron's]] creation, '''Dinobot II''' is an attempt to recreate the [[Maximal]] [[Dinobot (BW)|Dinobot]] without all that cumbersome honor. Powerful, vicious, and most importantly, loyal, Dinobot II is a living weapon to be aimed and released in the Maximals' direction.

Created by combining a [[protoform]], cloned cells from the original Dinobot, a part of [[Rampage (BW)|Rampage's]] [[spark]], and the energy from the [[Transmetal Driver]], Dinobot II became a fierce warrior for Megatron. Gifted with powerful abilities (instant healing and most of Dinobot's warrior skills), Dinobot II was used for hunting [[Maximal]]s like [[Depth Charge]] and [[Blackarachnia]]. Because he had a piece of Rampage's spark, a fact that sometimes confused Depth Charge's sensors, Dinobot II was able to squeeze it and keep the powerful Transmetal in line.

His most important moments came at the very end of the Beast Wars. After Rampage was destroyed by Depth Charge, something happened to Dinobot II. Somehow, the memories of the original Dinobot flooded into his frame, and more importantly, Dinobot's code of honor came along with them. Unable to shake off these memories and what they signified, Dinobot II betrayed Megatron, challenging his leader's desire to destroy the protohuman village. More importantly, he sent information about an [[Autobot]] shuttle to the Maximals aboard the [[Ark]]. Dinobot II's final rebellion was openly refusing to fire on the Maximal base. When a flabbergasted Megatron asked him what possible reason he could have for rebelling against his creator, Dinobot II took a moment before turning to look at the injured form of Optimus Primal and announcing "And I...have my honor." Enraged, Megatron attacked him, throwing him into Primal just as Rhinox piloted the Autobot shuttle straight into Megatron. As Optimus made to escape, he tried to get Dinobot II to follow, but the Transmetal merely wished Primal well as the cockpit exploded around him. Thus he died as a hero, like his predecessor. Optimus would later quote a passage from the ''[[Covenant of Primus]]'': "In spark of an enemy, there will be salvation, and in the darkness, there shall be a light."

The best way to describe '''Longrack''' is that he's the kind of cadet who runs for student council president because he believes that the job really matters and should be taken seriously, darnit it all. Longrack believes rules exist to be followed. He's talky, annoying, over-serious and with a stick up his tailpipe as long as his beast-mode's neck. The "Brainy Smurf" of Big Convoy's crew, Longrack means well, but that doesn't stop him from being a major tool. In his spare time he likes to tinker with machines.

His left arm's gauntlet has a flip-out knife, which is removable, but due to the plastic tolerances is tricky to remove and replace. He also has a third "weapon" mode that is best not talked about at all.

Hoping to curb Big Convoy's psychotically anti-social behavior, the [[Maximal Elder|Maximal Elders]] ordered him to train a crew of unruly new recruits. Big Convoy loathed the assignment at first, but being a loyal soldier, accepted the task. His first mission was to explore [[Gaia]] and investigate the disappearance of [[Lio Convoy]]. Little did he know, [[Magmatron]] and his [[Predacon|Predacons]] were following close behind him. After finding a black box message from Lio Convoy, Big Convoy learned of the [[Angolmois]] capsules ejected after the destruction of the [[Nemesis (BWII)|Nemesis]]. Big Convoy then headed off with his group of trainees to collect the capsules, battling Magmatron every step of the way.

Big Convoy is not one for compassion or sentimental gobbly-gook. Because of this bitter attitude, [[Vector Sigma]] took it upon-itself to dispense words of wisdom and encouragement to the recruits directly ''through'' Big Convoy, via his [[Energon Matrix]]. Big Convoy hated it at first, but over the course of the adventure, the sense of compassion began to rub-off on him and he started giving words of advice all on his own.

Eventually, after the Maximals and Predacons collected all the capsules, they were attacked by the [[Blentron]]s, a fearsome trio of nearly invincible Transformers. The Blentrons beat the mortal hell out of him, the Maximals and the Predacons, taking the Angolmois capsules. As it turned out, the Angolmois energy was really the essence of [[Unicron]] and the Blentrons were his creations.

The Blentrons released the Angolomois energy into the corpse of [[Galvatron (BWII)|Galvatron]], resurrecting Unicron. Big Convoy and the Maximals raced him back to [[Cybertron]] but were side-tracked by being sucked into a wormhole. It was actually the same wormhole that sucked-in Lio Convoy and his crew after their battle against the Nemesis. Lio Convoy told Big Convoy the history of Unicron and helped him escape the wormhole.

The Maximals arrived too late; Unicron had already destroyed the Maximal armada (and [[Great Convoy]] with it) and possessed Vector Sigma, turning Cybertron into his new body. Big Convoy, the Maximal recruits and Magmatron stood side-by-side to fight the menace. Unicron briefly exited Vector Sigma to swat his opponents. Using their new-found teamwork, the Maximals managed to hold Unicron off while Big Convoy powered up his trademarked '''Big Cannon''' with his own [[Energon Matrix]]. This upgraded his Big Cannon into the '''Matrix Buster'''. Big Convoy unleashed a blast from his Matrix Buster directly into Unicron, seemingly destroying him.

With Unicron evicted from Vector Sigma, Big Convoy and Magmatron chose to put aside their differences. He and Magmatron's gang were evolved by the power of Angolmois energy from a Angolmois capsule falling on his home planet. His friends were all killed by Mamgmatron's gang. After Lio Convoy arrived the planet accidentally, he met Big. Big took Lio Convoy to the place where the capsule fell after a conversation. But they were attacked by Magmatron's gang. Eventually, Big pushed Magmatron's gang into the gorge along with the capsule. But the capsule exploded due to the impact. Magmatron and his gang were all evolved into Transformers by the Angolmois energy. Lio Convoy transformed into humanoid mode to fight Magmatron, but he was soon defeated by Magmatron. Big was heavily injured when he used his body as a shield to protect Lio Convoy. Lio Convoy came to after a while, he found dying Big lay beside him. Lio Convoy then used the Enegon Matrix to cure Big. The power of Energon Maxtrix not only cured Big, but turned him into a Transformer named "Big Convoy". But Big Convoy lost all of his memory before he woke up in a snowstorm.

A high-ranking member of the Maximals, '''Lio Convoy''' is honest to his core and possesses the strong sense of right and wrong that one expects from a robot with "[[Convoy]]" in his name. In part he's a tough, hard, career-military robot, but he doesn't let that side of his nature totally dominate who he is. There is a very humane, even gentle side to him as well, and there are times when one can't help but suspect his seriousness has a hidden smile behind it. Though Lio Convoy dislikes fighting for its own sake, for a just cause he is more than willing to throw himself into the frey. He believes that through combat one can gain insight and understanding of an opponents true character and thought processes.

A Supreme Commander with his own [[Energon Matrix]]. He led a troop of Maximal soldiers to planet [[Gaia]] to stop [[Galvatron (BWII)|Galvatron]] and his [[Predacon (BW)|Predacons]].

After being attacked by a ship of rogue Predacons, lead by [[Galvatron (BWII)|Galvatron]], Lio Convoy and his army of Maximals gave chase to their enemies. Lio Convoy and his crew of Maximals chased Galvatron to the distant planet Gaia where Lio Convoy was separated from the rest of his troops while protecting [[Apache]] from a Predacon attack. The over-abundance of [[Angolmois]] energy proved harmful to Transformers, forcing all the Maximals to scan local wildlife for necessary beast modes. Injured, Lio Convoy was rescued by a white lion and scanned its form while recuperating. He then rescued his troops from another Predacon attack. Next, they set-up base on Gaia, now aware that Galvatron was after the powerful Angolmois energy.

Lio Convoy is later reunited with his "son", [[Lio Junior]]. While Lio Convoy was first recovering from Predacon attack, the Spirit of Gaia copied his Leadership Matrix and infused it within Lio Junior, resulting in Lio Junior's belief that he is Lio Convoy's offspring. Lio Convoy wasn't very eager to be weighed down by a son, and Lio Junior spent the bulk of the series trying desperately to earn his acceptance.

At one point, an alien machine that could warp time and space crashed onto Gaia. The Predacons used it to summon the unstoppable mobile fortress, [[Majin Zarak]], and quickly trashed most of the Maximals. [[Magnaboss (BWII)|Magnaboss]] (the combined form of Lio Junior, [[Santon]] and [[Skywarp (BWII)|Skywarp]]) managed to summon [[Optimus Primal]] to their aid with the machine.

Primal and Lio Convoy teamed-up to battle Majin Zarak, who turned out to be a sentient robot and not just a battle station. Together, they combined the power of the Leadership Matrices to upgrade themselves into Burning Convoy and Flash Lio Convoy.

With Primal's enhanced strength and Lio Convoy's super speed, they weakened Majin Zarak. They then unleashed the power within their Matrices into a "Double Matrix Blast" which finished-off the monster.

Lio Convoy had many more wacky adventures on Gaia, including but not limited to: Evil Clones, Space Pirates and Fiesty Mexican Robot Insects. Eventually, Galvatron summoned the [[Nemesis (BWII)|Nemesis]], a giant spacecraft, to suck all the Angolmois energy out of Gaia. The Maximals followed the Predacons to the Nemesis and Lio Convoy managed to infiltrate the ship with the help of [[Scuba]] and the [[Tako Tank]]. Inside, Lio Convoy faced Galvatron but could not defeat the Predacon Emperor of Destruction, who was now over-powered by Angolmois energy. Lio Junior soon arrived to rescue his daddy and the pair, with the help of "good" Angolmois energy, merged into the Great Green Warrior. They did battle with Galvatron and eventually defeated him, sealing the Angolmois energy into capsules and firing them off into space. Galvatron then revealed his big surprise and used his [[Galva-Matrix]] to cause the Nemesis to explode. Lio Convoy and the rest of the Maximals then fall into a wormhole.

After having their Angolmois capsules stolen by the [[Blentron]]s, [[Big Convoy]] and his Maximal new recruits are sucked into a wormhole while chasing their enemies. They came across Lio Convoy (whom they all had presumed dead) who explained to them that the Angolmois energy is really the lifeforce of [[Unicron]]. Lio Convoy used all his power to free the Maximals from the wormhole, though he remained trapped inside.

Lio Convoy eventually escaped from the wormhole and aided Big Convoy, the Maximals and [[Magmatron]] in the final battle against Unicron. After Big Convoy blew Unicron away with his Matrix Buster, the Maximals and Predacons formed an alliance of true unity and worked together to restore Cybertron. All of Lio Convoy's Maximal troops who were trapped inside the wormhole with him were eventually released and joined in the restoration of their homeworld.

The ever-vigilant Lio Convoy sat at the Maximal Council, but was also a member of a secret black-ops intelligence unit of the [[Maximal Imperium]]. During a conversation with [[Razorbeast]] that was officially off-the-record, he reminded his fellow Maximal that their unit doesn't exist and that the Imperium doesn't sanction their operations. He warned Razorbeast that if he was caught while undercover in [[Magmatron]]'s command, he would be disavowed.

Unfortunately, Lio Convoy believes that Magmatron is the true enemy, while [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] is just a loose cannon. Real good job of threat assessment there...

Lio Convoy leads a group known as The Pack, a handful of maximals who served under both Lio Convoy and Big Convoy during their respective campaigns. After Razorbeasts message was strengthened by Magmatron, it reached Leio Convoy, who mobilised the Pack at once.
