==Synopsis==

As buildings explode, [[Springer (G1)|Springer]] attempts to save as many people as he can. At the docks, crime lord [[Victor Drath]]'s men, led by [[Dutch (G1)|Dutch]], attempt to steal a canister of [[newtronium]]. [[Hot Rod (G1)|Rodimus]] and [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] stop them; however, Dutch shoots the canister which explodes in Rodimus's hands, allowing the criminals to escape in their flying car.

Tired of the [[Autobot|Autobots]] interfering with his operations, Drath contacts the mysterious [[Old Snake]] who apparently ran some kind of terrorist organization in the past. Drath purchases Old Snake's assistance and technology, setting up a laboratory at his home. Lured to the laboratory, Rodimus, Ultra Magnus, [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]] and [[Springer (G1)|Springer]] are trapped and their minds transferred into newly created [[synthoid]] human bodies. While the human [[Autobot]]s are taken away to be disposed at the junk yard, Snake suggests that Drath can make use of the Autobots' former robot bodies.

The four Autobots manage to escape from the crusher in the junk yard before they're pulverised. They find clothing in a nearby building and swiftly realise what has happened. They split up—Magnus and Arcee decide to attempt to contact [[Autobot City]] while Rodimus and Springer go after Drath. Once the pair reaches Drath's house, Rodimus attempts to draw the guards away, but is wounded. He is given refuge by Drath's girlfriend [[Michelle]]. Springer spots Drath's men taking the Autobots' robot bodies for a test drive, taking the opportunity to rob a jewellery store. He is offers to help operate his old body, claiming that he has experience with heavy machinery, and gains the thugs' confidence.

Meanwhile Arcee and Ultra Magnus are having no luck contacting the police chief they'd worked with after the earlier bombings. They notice a nearby warehouse is owned by Drath and break in, discovering it's full of weapons. Unfortunately Arcee trips a silent alarm, and they're interrupted by thugs driving their old bodies. Magnus threatens them with a grenade, giving Arcee time to escape on a stolen motorcycle, but he is captured by Dutch a short time later.

Rodimus shares breakfast with Michelle, who confides that she knows who he is, but will help him get into Drath's house. Arcee makes it to [[Autobot City]], but the human security guards don't believe her story and instead place her in detention. Rodimus and Michelle enter Drath's home... only for Drath's men to spring the trap which Michelle has lured him into. Drath tells Rodimus that Snake has come up with a new plan — load the Autobots' robot bodies with explosives and use them to blow up Autobot City. Springer discovers the plan as well, when he drives his robot body to pick up the explosives. He and Ultra Magnus liberate both his old body, though it is damaged in the escape. The three remaining Autobot forms are dispatched for Autobot City.

Rodimus manages to get free of the goons and take down Drath himself. Drath gloats that Autobot City is still doomed. Indeed, Drath's thugs are nearing the city in the three purloined Autobot forms. Springer and Ultra Magnus fly Springer's robot form to catch up with the other three Autobots en route to Metroplex. Knowing that the Autobots in the city won't realize three Trojan horses are coming until it's too late, Ultra Magnus tells Springer to attack the city himself. Their firing on [[Metroplex (G1)|Metroplex]] alerts the inhabitants, and [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]] has time to activate the city’s defenses and waylay the oncoming Autobots.

Later, after the Autobots have put together the pieces, [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]] rigs the equipment at Drath's former hideout and transfers Rodimus Prime and the other's minds back to their rightful place. When asked about their adventure, Rodimus gives extra consideration to Michelle as she's led away along with Drath's other men. Meanwhile, safely away, Old Snake muses to himself how they just don't make terrorists like they used to. He also tries to yell out the rallying cry of his former organization but breaks down into coughing, so it's absolutely impossible to tell what group he used to run.

==Notes==
In general, this episode is ''really'' rushed, storywise. Scenes are raced through at a pretty breakneck pace, and on the whole, there's a tremendous sense of the episode having to hold back from actually ''doing'' anything with the potential-laden concept of the Autobots becoming human. Many of the ideas in the episode only seem half-developed, and what few subtleties do manage to break through the constant hurtle towards the final scene are often blunted by the complete lack of even just a reflective second or two to let them sink in. The episode really cries out to be a two-parter, which is a real shame, since the annotations for the episode included amongst the original documentation featured on [[Metrodome]]'s DVDs suggest that the production staff were ''really'' excited and enthusiastic about it.

* While not an error, since the reason for it is clear enough, it is a fun coincidence that once human, our four heroes find overalls to wear that perfectly match their former bodies' color schemes. It was also convenient for the new synthoid bodies to form complete with tee shirts and pants. This is a children’s show, you know.

* Michelle’s motivation is a little murky. She seems genuinely upset when the Autobots are supposedly killed by Drath, and later she saves Rodimus from his pursuers—yet later, she happily turns him over to Drath. Was she actually attracted to Rodimus and changed her mind, or was she just luring him into a trap all along? If she was working for Drath from the get-go, why didn’t she just let his men capture him when they asked for him earlier? It couldn’t have been because she wanted to snuggle with Rodimus that night, could it? This is a children’s show, you know.

* Also, the Autobots adapt to being human REALLY easily. Other than Springer needing a shave, there’s very little attention paid to the new problems with suddenly being biological. Shouldn’t the Autobots have problems understanding such concepts as going to the bathroom or breathing? Then again, that stuff veers into uncomfortable territory. This is a children’s show after all.

* In hindsight, just what was Victor Drath’s plan with the Autobots? He obviously has no trouble capturing the Autobots on his own, but purchased the synthoid equipment and went through all the trouble to set it up anyway to transfer the Autobots' minds into human bodies which he would simply dispose of. He also is going to take their former robot bodies and also simply dispose of them. It’s Ol’ Snake that gives him the idea actually to use the robot bodies. Why couldn’t he just capture the Autobots and simply dispose of them intact? Then again, maybe that’s overthinking it. This is a...well, you know.

*In the Japanese version of this episode, the scene where the informant tells Victor Drath that Old Snake is down the street pacing back and forth, then gets punched in the face as payment, was cut for time.

===Animation or technical glitches===
* Outdated animation models end up being used frequently in this episode. Most notable is Arcee's, especially since her shoulder-thingies change orientation and her head changes shape several times. (The sub-par animation makes her look even worse.)

* During the rescue at the start, Springer, in helicopter mode, somehow catches a falling human on his nose, despite the fact the human would have to pass through his spinning rotors.

* As the humanized Autobots plan their first move, Magnus's voice comes out of Rodimus's mouth.

* There are a few instances when the backgrounds switch from day to night to day again.

* Despite being human, there are occasions when the Autobots' voices are still synthesized to sound robotic.

* As Springer and Magnus escape, Springer's body converts from car to helicopter without the transforming sound, or even any visible transformation sequence.

* When Blaster sees the first three Autobots approaching Autobot City, Springer is shown instead of Arcee.

* As Blaster observes Springer opening fire on Autobot City, the laser beams are coming right out of the screen.

* As the city transforms, the sky randomly switches from day to night and back.

* Perceptor vanishes from the scene as the Autobots leave Drath's house, replaced by Magnus and Springer.

* One scene has Ultra Magus and Rodimus Prime next to each other transforming into robot mode. They both leave their trailers sitting behind them. With Rodimus, this is unusual for the cartoon but toy accurate. However, this was a missed opportunity for an appearance by Ultra Magnus's inner robot since he transformed wearing his trailer armor anyway.

===Continuity errors===
* As the vehicle modes of Springer and Rodimus pull up to Drath's warehouse, Rodimus's alt-mode changes from his post-Matrix form in one scene to his pre-Matrix form as it parks, but then is back to post-Matrix form when he attacks Springer. Speaking of which, where is the Matrix during all this body-switching anyway?
* Not an error per se, but it seems perhaps too convenient that the Autobot bodies have controls to allow a human pilot to control them fully, even being able to trigger the transformation and control the robot form.

===Transformers references===
* This episode, along with "[[Forever Is a Long Time Coming]]" and "[[Madman's Paradise]]", is one of the few episodes to not feature Decepticons. In fact, this episode marks the only time in the G1 cartoon where all of the antagonists are human (or [[Cobra Commander|humanoid]]).
* This episode might answer a question [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]] asked at the end of the Season 2 episode "[[Autobot Spike]]" about what would happen if an Autobot's mind were placed in a human's body.

* This episode uses a number of common cartoon sound effects for helicopter rotors and laser beams that had not been heard on ''Transformers'' before...but which were very common on its contemporary competitor, ''[[Challenge of the GoBots]]''.

*In Japan, this episode was very heavily promoted in the pages of ''[[TV Magazine]]'', featuring two pieces of unique promotional art by [[Ban Magami]] across two separate issues (a rarity for episode promos). Oddly, neither promo seemed to describe the contents of the episode accurately. The May 1987 issue boasted a "special news" emblem, indicating its importance over other episodes promoted that issue. The blurb describing the episode, then tantalized children with the reveal that Cobra Commander, the archenemy of [[Duke]] and [[G.I. Joe (team)|G.I. Joe]], would be leading his [[Cobra]] army in a fight against the Autobots. The June 1987 issue continued this misinformation campaign, even going so far as to feature a full-page promo of the episode with artwork depicting "Snake" ominously leading a number of Cobra [[Rattler]]s and F.A.N.G.s. Whoever wrote the promotional summaries and told Magami what to draw either hadn't actually ''watched'' the episode or was just flat-out ''lying'' about its contents in order to snooker a larger audience with false claims of massive Autobot vs. Cobra action. Of course, it's also possible that the promos were penned with only an outdated story summary to work with, a la their promo artwork for "[[Starscream's Ghost]]" mistakenly featuring [[Blitzwing (G1)|Blitzwing]] instead of [[Octane]].

* This episode was lampooned at [[BotCon 2005]]'s [[MSTF]] presentation, as part of a "theme show" where all of the ''Transformers'' episodes featured had (sometimes really tenuous) ties to ''[[G.I. Joe (team)|G.I. Joe]]''. Because this was the first year of [[Fun Publications]]' take on BotCon, and they run the Joe convention, you see.

:Many (all?) units of this figure come with Megatron's splayed feet assembled backwards, a fact which is not immediately apparent as the "heel" half of his feet are actually larger than the "toe" half (this is the opposite of most splay-footed transformers), and the situation is not helped by the promotional (exhibit A to your right) and box-art photography displaying an identically misassembled figure. However, examination of the instructions and any attempt to transform Megatron into tank mode immediately demonstrate the mistake, which is easily corrected by unscrewing the halves of his lower legs and reversing the foot pieces.

She follows the strongest Decepticon she can find, and the stronger they are, the more infatuated with him she is. Thunderblast arrived on [[Earth]] in the colony ship [[Atlantis (starship)|Atlantis]] millions of years ago. While the Autobots watched over and guided [[human]] evolution, the Decepticons terrorized the humans, inspiring the myths and legends of old; Thunderblast was the inspiration for the myth of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorelei Lorelei]. These "monsters" were rounded up by the "monster hunter" [[Crosswise (Cybertron)|Crosswise]], who locked the criminals up inside a prison located in the center of the Earth (called the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollow_Earth "Earth's Navel"]), where they stayed until they were released by [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] in the present day.

Thunderblast and Lugnutz defended Starscream's volcano-island base from the Autobots and Decepticons... up to a point. While Lugnutz decided to simply wander away from the "heavy scene", Thunderblast found herself less-than-impressed with Starscream, and took to following Megatron (whose power was just soooooo dreamy), joining his forces as they journeyed to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], which transformed into [[Primus]]' gargantuan robot mode.

There, while admiring her looks in a mirrored satellite, she was interrupted by a super-sized Starscream, who gave her the choice to steal the [[Omega Lock]] or get blasted to smithereens. She took the former option, but managed to weasel her way out of it by lying to Starscream, luring him planetside, then told Megatron that she was ordered to attack him. Starscream arrived and the two bickered, until they were interrupted by [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]] and [[Wing Saber]]. All parties involved rocketed off to fight, leaving her free to wander off unperturbed. {{storylink|Escape (episode)|Escape}} Shortly afterwards, she tracked [[Jetfire (Armada)|Jetfire]] and Wing Saber, leading Megatron to the missing [[Atlantis]] starship. {{storylink|Titans}}

When Megatron returned from the [[fire dimension]], Thunderblast and the others conitnued to follow him, all the way to [[Gigantion]]. There, when she teamed up with [[Scourge (Cybertron)|Scourge]] in a hunt for the planet's [[Cyber Planet Key]], they ran across an Autobot party consisting of [[Override (Cybertron)|Override]], [[Wing Saber]] and the [[human]] [[Lori]]. Thunderblast and Lori very quickly got on each others' nerves, both browbeating Scourge, and when Thunderblast took off, Lori scared Wing Saber into following, leaving Scourge and Override to duke it out.

Wing Saber chased Thunderblast through the lower levels, but it was a trap, since the Decepticon was leading them to a harbor area, and water-combat was Thunderblast's element. Wind Saber took a fair pummeling, but Lori noticed a cluster of cranes, and she set them up so Wing Saber could lure the overconfident "floozy" (Lori's words). Thunderblast was crushed under a half-dozen massive claws, and Wing Saber took the chance to blast her while she was down, the explosion sending her flying away uncontrollably. {{storylink|Ambush}}

When Megatron (now Galvatron) and Starscream dueled over the [[Omega Lock]] and the four Cyber Planet Keys, Thunderblast briefly wondered if she was infatuated with the wrong 'bot. But when Galvatron emerged victorious, she followed him back to Cybertron happily. There, she and the few remaining Decepticons still loyal to Galvatron ([[Thundercracker (Armada)|Thundercracker]], [[Ransack (Cybertron)|Ransack]] and [[Crumplezone (Cybertron)|Crumplezone]]) were given a boost of Omega Lock power, super-sizing them so they could take on the massed armies that had gathered from all of the colony worlds to oppose them. After being assaulted (and insulted) by [[Undermine]] and [[Brimstone]], Thunderblast found herself going up against her old friend [[Lugnutz]]. Though she seemed shocked he'd side with the "good guys", she got over it pretty quickly and had no compunctions with trying to blow him away.

Ultimately, Galvatron's plot failed. Thunderblast realized that Galvatron was going to let her die in the cataclysm hat his plan would have caused, and along with the other now-de-powered Decepticons, ran off. When the rocket boosters that built on the [[Jungle Planet]] to push the world back to its normal place in the cosmos began to fail, the four Decepticons arrived, cackling... and helped with the efforts to keep the thrusters upright and functional, deciding to try being on the winning team for once.

Afterwards, Thunderblast, Ransack and Crumplezone went to each world, trying to find a place to fit in, and failing. ==In the beginning==

Before the dawn of time, Order and Chaos existed within an extradimensional entity known as the [[One]]. He created twin astral beings to reign over the cosmos: Primus and Unicron. Their nature differed, as Primus' lifeforce (aka the [[Allspark (dimension)|Allspark]]) was a ''multiversal singularity''; existing across all Transformers realities at once (see note below), whereas Unicron existed in only one dimension at a time but could travel relatively freely between them. Primus was the Lord of Light and Order, and Unicron, the Lord of Darkness and Chaos. Unicron sought to devour everything that exists and become one with [[The Void]] at the end of all things.

In combat, Primus was no match for Unicron. But Primus did manage to trap both his and Unicron's essences inside metallic planetoids. Over time, they learned to shape these prisons. Primus became the mechanical planet of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. Knowing that his ancient enemy still lived, Primus created the [[13 original Transformers]] from the material of the newly created planet. To the very first of these 13, named [[Prima]], Primus bestowed the [[Matrix of Leadership|Matrix]], containing his essence. These Transformers would, in time, grow strong in number, knowledge, and power, and be able to defeat Unicron.

==War of the balance==

The first conflict between Primus and Unicron occurred shortly after the creation of the first 13 Transformers. One of the original 13, who would ever afterwards be known as The [[Fallen]], betrayed Primus and became an acolyte of Unicron. Many of the first 13 were destroyed in this great battle before Unicron and Primus were sucked into a [[black hole]] and sealed away in a extra-dimensional limbo.

The two brothers shared a mental link. So long as Primus hid himself in slumber, so did Unicron also sleep. Their war ended, for a time, in stalemate.

Eventually, in one version of Generation 1 continuity [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]], [[Jazz]], and [[Bumblebee]] found themselves transported to the center of [[Cybertron_(planet)|Cybertron]]. In a battle with [[Bludgeon (G1)|Bludgeon]]'s [[Pretender]]s, a laser blast ricocheted off Grimlock and struck the essence of the sleeping Primus, causing a multiverse-shaking Primal Scream that woke Unicron and alerted him to Primus' location.

The battle between Primus and Unicron began anew. Though Unicron would sometimes be defeated, this is always temporary, and there is a whole multiverse of realities to consume. When Unicron is destroyed in one reality, he will respawn in another, ready to eat again. Primus will always be waiting, hoping to incapacitate Unicron and preserve existence.

It has been suggested that both of them are, in fact, necessary for the multiverse to exist in stability.

==The evolution of the Primus/Unicron myth ==

The Primus/Unicron backstory has evolved and been rewritten a good number of times since it first originated in the Marvel Comics. The version above is the current iteration, which has slowly solidified across a wide swath of media beginning around the time of [[Armada]]) Before the Primus/Unicron mythos reached its present form it went through several distinct versions in the Marvel G1 Comics and elsewhere.

===Unicron's story===

The first time we ever heard the Primus/Unicron backstory it in the UK comic continuity, from Unicron himself. After his destruction during the events of ''[[The Transformers: The Movie]]'', his head floated through space and crashed on the planet [[Junkion (planet)|Junk]]. There, he enslaved the inhabitants to recreate his old body from their world. When the bount-um... freelance peacekeeping agent [[Death's Head]] challenged him on the astral plane, Unicron shared the story of his origin thusly:

At the dawn of the universe, when Unicron was a primal force of evil, the only one who could stand against him and his [[Dark Armies]] was Primus, Lord of the [[Light Gods]]. (Note the plural.) Primus and his fellow Light Gods stood against Unicron and his Dark Armies. Events then played out roughly as described above. ''(The role of the other Light Gods and Unicron's armies would diminish with each retelling of the story, until the current version where they are alone and have a unique origin. Only one of the other Light Gods was ever named: the [[Chronarchitect]].)''

The second time the story was told was in the US book by the [[Keeper]], an ancient mechanoid who guarded Primus's head at the center of Cybertron. This telling mentions that their battle was towards the end of the era of Gods and that Primus and Unicron were the last of their respective pantheons. But Primus had to defeat Unicron before he could take his place with the other gods in the "[[Omniversal Matrix]]".

===Primus' story===

The third time the story was told was by Primus when he gathered all his children together to prepare for Unicron's coming. Here we learn for the first time that Unicron predated the current universe. Unicron had destroyed the previous universe and then slept peacefully, alone with the void. But he had not been thorough enough and some bits of the "old realms" survived. They reacted and caused The Big Bang. The sentient core of this new universe recognized the threat of Unicron and so created Primus to be his counterpart
and guardian of the new creation.

The first modern retelling of their origin in the DK [[Transformers: The Ultimate Guide]] (which tended to focus on the then current Dreamwave continuity) added a new twist with "The One" a self-contained being of balanced Order and Chaos. He was curious and so created Unicron to explore the new-born Universe for him. Then he sub-divided Unicron and created Primus out of him. As Primus achieved consciousness he realized Unicron had become corrupted and was now a force for Chaos. Primus thus took on the role of champion of Order and creation to balance things and protect existence from Unicron.

==Marvel Comics continuity==

Unicron is first seen in the comic adaptation of ''The Transformers: The Movie''. The Marvel US comic basically left the adaptation alone as something that might or might not happen but was in the distant future (at the time) and so basically out of continuity. The Marvel UK version of the comic however seized on the Movie era and its characters as something it could focus on without worry of contradicting events in the US stories it reprinted.

Target 2006 was the first of these UK exclusive stories. It is not until the later "Legacy of Unicron" storyline however that we first hear of and see Primus.

[[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] himself took his name from these tracks (as did, presumably, the original [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]]), and the scriptures foretold the events which completed the [[Beast Wars]].

After the Beast Wars, Megatron intended to incorporate Primus' essence, the [[Allspark (dimension)|Allspark]], into his own being and become godlike by stealing every [[Spark]] of every Transformer on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. Ultimately, this was merely one step of the [[Oracle]]'s plan to reformat Cybertron into a [[technorganic]] paradise. After Megatron and Optimus Primal were plunged into the planet's core, the planet was reborn and the abducted Sparks were returned to new technorganic bodies.

The creation God of the Transformers made his character debut in the Unicron Trilogy during the Energon series. Although Primus was very vague and kept mysterious in the Energon series, his purpose would be further explored in the Cybertron series.

Primus is the living core of Cybertron and the creator of all Transformers, as well as the originator of the precious and ancient fuel, Energon. After the first era, stories of Unicron, Primus, and [[Omega Supreme (Energon)|Omega Supreme]] were regarded as myth and legend, until after the Unicron Battles of 2010. With Cybertron left in a disastrous state, it would require large amounts of Energon to repair it fully. Involved in this task was the Earth Federated Government, operating secretly with the Cybertronians. A child of one of the Earth scientists, [[Kicker Jones]], would be the one to awaken the ancient God, Primus, within Cybertron's core, while fleeing Optimus Prime in fear.

Primus' first act was to empower this child with the gift of finding energon throughout the universe. Primus would also create the sparks of combination which would allow his Autobots to double in strength by having one Autobot link to another, diverting his energy supply into his partner's weapons and processing systems through a system of Powerlinking top to bottom, much like Optimus and Jetfire's combination from Transformers Armada.

Primus would go on to advise Optimus Prime on his actions in order to prepare for the future, including the Terrorcon invasion, the return of Megatron, and the next battle with Unicron. Although vague at times, Primus often offered enough information in order for his children to avoid destruction in battle. Primus was often very weak due to the damage done to the planet's surface, and spent most of his time in a mode of stasis to preserve his energy and keep Cybertron's energy grid online.

Primus would continue to advise his creations until Unicron, being controlled by Megatron, would once again menace Cybertron and the other planets in the Planet Q system. Most of the Autobot army were critically wounded, prompting the sleeping Primus to awaken and fuse their armor. Unicron was eventually defeated, but Megatron survived. After Megatron used the hidden super energon pool to upgrade himself into Galvatron, all seemed nearly lost until Galvatron was once again possessed by Unicron. In the final battle, Primus awoke to carry the super energon through space and collide it with Unicron's spark, creating a newborn sun, ending the Energon story. Unfortunately, this would not last, as the sun would soon collapse, leading to the black hole that threatens the universe in the Transformers Cybertron series.

It is unknown if the act of creating the sun in the Energon series completely exhausted Primus, as the fiction connecting the stories remains vague. The club comic seems to portray the idea that Primus continued to exist, but was offlined by Nemesis Prime's attack. Although this is a plausible idea, the structure of Primus and Cybertron, having an Alpha Trion and Vector Sigma is based on Generation One, and was not present in the previous Energon animated series.

Primus' plot to bury [[Unicron]]'s essence in the center of a newborn star failed. The star collapsed into a black hole which threatened not only [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] and the universe, but the multiverse as well. Only four [[Cyber Planet Key]]s, hidden on planets throughout the galaxy, combined with the [[Omega Lock]], could awaken Primus and allow him to destroy the black hole.

After Megatron is seemingly defeated, the Autobots bring the Omega Lock along with the Cyber Planet Keys from [[Velocitron]] the [[Jungle Planet]] and [[Earth]] to the restoration chamber. Upon inserting the three keys into the Omega Lock, the room shakes and the Omega Lock is pushed from its receptical into the ceiling, causing a chain reaction that makes it look as though the planet itself is falling apart. As the Autobots evacuated, they began to realize what was occurring - Cybertron was transforming.

As the massive continental plates of Cybertron split and shifted, exposing an arsenal of weapons, as well as recognisably humanoid robotic appendages, [[Vector Prime]] intoned an almost-religious verse: ''"He who fought Unicron at the dawn of Time. He who created the Matrix of Leadership. He who brought life to Cybertron, Velocitron and all the other Transformer worlds in the cosmos. Yes, there can be no other. Primus communicates directly through the [[Mini-Con]] [[Jolt (Cybertron)|Jolt]], telling the Autobots that the black hole is no ordinary singularity. Primus gives the assembled an image of two forces, one good, one evil, that have been in existance for all time, but the evil force has vanished. Primus says that the destruction of Unicron left the balance of good and evil severely ''un''balanced, whch distorted space and time, and formed the black hole. Vector Prime explains to the kids that Unicron and Primus are balancing forces, and one cannot exist without the other, which [[Coby Hansen|Coby]] illustrates to [[Bud Hansen|Bud]] with a coin.

Primus says that only he can close the black hole, but his [[spark]] must be fully restored first, by obtaining all four Cyber Planet Keys and puttng them in the Omega Lock.... but the Autobots only have three Keys so far.

After Primus reveals the location of the fourth Planet Key, an Allspark-fueled [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] attacks Primus, intent on retrieving the Omega Lock. Primus manages to defend himself and easily defeat Starscream. {{Storylink|Balance}}

During the events of Transformers: Cybertron, the black hole created by Unicron's passing posed unique problems. Primus and Unicron -- representing Order and Chaos, respectively -- together forged a delicate balance in the multiverse. With one or the other missing, the balance would be upset, spiraling all that exists into an unknown doom.

In addition, the black hole was positioned very close to Cybertron itself, making Primus, despite Unicron's apparent demise, the most vulnerable he had ever been. Cybertron was the linchpin, the astral center of the entire multiverse, itself another singularity. Unicron's heralds [[Ramjet (Universe)|Ramjet]] and [[Nemesis Prime (Universe)|Nemesis Prime]] arrived on Cybertron to unleash the [[Dead Matrix]] on Primus' essence. For the first time ever, Unicron, who is normally limited to threatening Primus one reality at a time, would be able to weaken Primus across all timelines -- and the black hole's proximity would end their cosmic feud forever.

:Cybertron Primus is the first toy representation of Transformers' Creator as their home planet of Cybertron. In planet mode, he is considerably more detailed than [[Unicron]] from the ''Armada'' line, with visible cities, including [[Iacon]] based upon its appearance in the DK Books ''Transformers Ultimate Guide'', and Kaon as seen in [[The War Within]]. On the 'bottom' of the planet mode there are four hard rubber legs, molded to be shaped like towers, allowing Primus to be displayed in planet mode, yet not require a flat base as Unicron did.

:Primus's transformation is unusual, in many ways similar to a [[Powermaster]], in that he requires the owner to insert his accompanying Omega Lock accessory into several special portals around the planet, then manipulate them to uplock his parts and to transform him. When the Omega Lock is initially inserted and pushed, a transforming sound is heard. When it is inserted into his chest and pushed up to reveal his head, his eyes glow red and a laser-type sound effect is heard.

:In robot mode, Primus resembles both the [[Beast Wars Neo]] Unicron prototype as well as [[Don Figueroa]]'s Primus concept. He is bristling with weaponry, including two shoulder-mounted cannons that can fire missiles, two forearm blasters that raise and extend when a Cyber Planet Key is inserted, and several banks of gattling cannons, lasers and missile launchers in his shins and legs.
