Investigating a mysterious race car, Bumblebee gets involved with an illegal underground street racing circuit, which also captures the attention of the Decepticons.

Summary
On the highways of Detroit, the Autobots are driving under the moonlight, searching for an AllSpark fragment. As Bumblebee complains about the boring nature of their task, several cars speed past them. Bulkhead recognizes them as racers for Street Demon, a show he and Sari watch. Calling them amateurs, Bumblebee decides to show off and speeds ahead. As he boasts, a blue racer comes in and rams two drivers off the road. Bumblebee wants to go after him, while Prime says that the drivers need help. Still, Bumblebee pursues, discovering that the car is quite fast. As the Autobots render assistance, Captain Fanzone arrives and arrests the two drivers. Bulkhead is shocked to learn that the Street Demons are on an illegal racing circuit, while Bumblebee rolls up, transforms, and falls down, breathing heavily...somehow.

Back at the plant, Bumblebee thinks that he can beat the blue racer with his turbo boosters. Prime and Ratchet refuse, and Bumblebee shouts that nothing on Earth is faster than him. This train of thought leads Bumblebee to the conclusion that the blue racer is a Decepticon. Prowl points out that the racer was uninterested in the Autobots, and Prime orders Bumblebee not to use the boosters. Meanwhile, Bulkhead comes down on Sari over Street Demon, but Sari says that they're not helping the illegal show in any way, since she's pirating the signal. As Bulkhead laments about how the Autobots need to set a good example, Bumblebee walks in and smooths things over, saying that he'll straighten out Sari. Once Bulkhead is out of audio sensor range, Bumblebee has Sari show him the races. He asks her to track down where the broadcast came from, and with the help of the key, he finds out where they are.

At an irrigation channel, Bumblebee, having taken his turbo boosters, joins in a training race, finally getting the hang of his boosters. Seeing what is going on, Master Disaster, the host of Street Demon, uses some sort of remote control to send out the blue racer to attack Bumblebee. Finally getting tired of being attacked, Bumblebee transforms into robot mode, causing Master Disaster to call off the attack. Instead, Disaster invites the Autobot to participate in the next race. Bumblebee agrees, on the condition that blue racer is present. As Bumblebee rolls out, Disaster notes that with an Autobot racing, their ratings will triple...and get even higher if said Autobot were to suffer an "accident".

At the plant, Bulkhead brings Sari a cup of hot chocolate, but Bumblebee calls on her cell phone, revealing his misadventure and allowing Bulkhead to learn what is going on. Before he can further <strike>dig his own grave</strike> elaborate, Bumblebee stops short when he sees a planem-Blitzwing. Following the Decepticon, Bumblebee overhears Blitzwing communicate with Megatron about an AllSpark fragment he was tracking. Convinced it involves the blue racer, Bumblebee heads back to the plant. He tells Sari what is going on, only for Bulkhead to come down on Bumblebee for what he's doing. Bumblebee tells him about Blitzwing, the AllSpark fragment, and his suspicions about the blue racer being a Decepticon, insisting that he can only discover the truth if he races. Bulkhead agrees to allow it on the condition that he is brought along as well, but Bumblebee fibs. However, when Sari catches him going out, she forces him to take her...as Bulkhead listens in.

In an interrogation room, Fanzone questions one of the drivers. Using the threat of imprisonment, Fanzone learns that the next race will be at Dix and Vernor, and he intends to get there before the races begins...at which point he walks right into a door.

At the race site, Master Disaster is making the final preparations, when Sari's key glows in the direction of Disaster's truck. Sneaking aboard, she finds the remote, then flees while Disaster announces the two-minute mark. As he reaches for the remote, he discovers what Sari did, forcing Bumblebee and Sari to escape. Thinking the race has started, the other drivers follow. As Bulkhead prepares to roll out and follow them, Blitzwing freezes the Autobot, then flies after the other two. Sari opens the remote and finds the AllSpark fragment, while Bumblebee detects Blitzwing. Seeing the flier, he dives through an arch, which Blitzwing freezes, cutting off the rest of the racers. Failing in his attempts to destroy Bumblebee from above, Blitzwing goes to tank mode, but is buried under rubble when he destroys a bridge support.

Meanwhile, Bumblebee sees Fanzone's car and tries to reach him. Fanzone is forced to jump into Bumblebee as Blitzwing destroys his car. As Blitzwing continues his strafing, Sari uses the remote to control Blitzwing, but it falls from her hands and out of the car. As they near another bridge, the blue racer crashes through the bridge's retaining wall and plays a game of Midair Chicken with Blitzwing. At first, Blitzwing is prepared to fight and die, but he turns away, crashing first into a building and then into Master Disaster's truck. Bumblebee deposits the two humans on the road, then goes to finish off Blitzwing, despite being vastly outsized and outgunned. Fortunately, the fight has brought them back to where the remote was. However, Blitzwing destroys a bridge above Bumblebee, also freeing Bulkhead. As Blitzwing prepares to deliver the killing blow, Sari uses the remote to control Blitzwing (as well as Bumblebee, who crashes into Bulkhead). Finally, Sari sends Blitzwing into high altitude. As Master Disaster tries to sneak away, Fanzone places him under arrest.

Back at the plant, Prime decides to store the remote in a safe place, while Bumblebee decides to set a better example for Sarim-starting by ending her pirated satellite connection. As Sari jokingly warns Bumblebee not to set too good of an example (lest she not recognize him), Bumblebee notices the blue racer speed past the plant. Bumblebee shouts out a "thank you", but is left wondering who the blue racer really is.
Other notes
Continuity errors
* Hothead Blitzwing demonstrates the ability to function in jet mode, instead of automatically switching to tank mode as he did in "Megatron Rising - Part 2". His ice missiles are replaced with conventional explosive ones. Maybe he learned his lesson?

Real-world references
* Wondering where Bumblebee came from, Master Disaster invokes the name of Detroit auto mogul Henry Ford (and also calls Bumblebee a "clown car").

*This episode borrows several plot and thematic elements from the popular street racing film The Fast and the Furious.

*Blitzwing's "Never give up! Never surrender! NEVER MIND!" quote refers to the catchphrase from the Dreamworks film, Galaxy Quest.

*Blitzwing haphazardly fires off multiple missiles in all directions in a style reminiscent of the Valkyrie Fighters from Super Dimension Fortress Macross.

*In this episode, Blitzwing's cannons make the familiar "high tension cable twang" normally associated with laser cannons in the Star Wars films.

*The first car that passes Bumblebee at the beginning of the episode resembles the 1999 Nissan Skyline From 2003's 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Miscellaneous trivia
* Fanzone's car explodes. Again. At least we know where he gets the replacements.
* The mysterious blue race car under Master Disaster's control matches the vehicle mode of Animated Blurr, as shown in an "upcoming products" presentation at 2008. Presumably it is Blurr...but as of this episode, its exact nature is unknown. It could be merely an AllSpark-enhanced unliving machine (like those in "The Elite Guard"), from which Blurr will someday take his Earth-mode (as Bumblebee did with Fanzone's car). (If it is Blurr, then he either is or will be a member of the Elite Guard, according to the presentation mentioned above.)
*Since coming to live with the Autobots, Sari has not only watched illegal shows, but also stolen satellite signals. Professor Sumdac is probably going to have words with the Autobots if they ever find him.
Starscream is easily as accomplished, powerful and deserving of leadership as Megatron. At least, that's what he thinks. Power-hungry and driven by jealousy, Starscream operates through three ideals: lying, manipulation and deception. And when all else fails, a bit of sabotage never goes astray. Wise bots are careful about turning their backs on Starscream, just in case it's the day he finally decides to shove in the knife.

Though not nearly as powerful as Megatron (despite what he thinks of himself), Starcream is by no means a wimp. His null-rays can demolish large buildings, and he can fly around so fast that he can break free of Ratchet's magnetic powers.

He also has the most traitorous chin in the universe, other than Evil Ash. And he doesn't believe in luck.
:Voice actor: Tom Kenny (English)

Like others of his kind, Starscream seeks to betray Megatron and take over leadership of the Decepticons. This time, however, he's not afraid to plant bombs on his mighty leader. In the aftermath of the explosion, Starscream got so caught up in his own greatness that he didn't notice that his comrades abandoned him on a ship hurtling towards an exploding space bridge.

Over the next fifty solar cycles, Starscream searched for the All Spark on his own, using the damaged ship as a base (and probably getting a few screws loose in his central processor). He later discovered that the All Spark was on Earth and adopted a jet fighter as an alternate mode to search for it. When he revealed himself to the Autobots, he quickly thrashed each of them individually. Starscream mocked them, apparently assuming that the Autobots thought they had really defeated Megatron (whom he referred to as "the great Megatron" without sarcasm, so he seems to have at least a loathing respect for his leader's power).

All too boastful of his cunning, Starscream boldly admitted that Megatron was already defeated by the bomb which Starscream himself had put on him.

"'Til all are one" is a phrase knit through Transformers mythology and legend, often used as a rallying cry by the Autobots. It's been translated as either until the end of the Great War, when all Transformers shed their factional affiliations, or until all are rejoined into the Allspark of Primus.

Fiction
Generation 1 Animated Continuity
The phrase was first introduced as Optimus Prime's deathbed mantra, and it would then be repeated regularly by Ultra Magnus, Rodimus Prime, and many of the other Autobots. Transformers: The Animated Movie

Having seized the Matrix of Leadership, Galvatron gloated that "all shall be one" under his rule. The Burden Hardest to Bear
Rhinox claims that the Matrix dimension is a place "where all are one." Coming of the Fuzors (Part 2)

Robots in Disguise
Omega Prime's Matrix Blade had this phrase written across the hilt.

Unicron Trilogy
Cybertron
When communicating with the Autobots, Primus would intone the phrase in reference to their quest to restore his Allspark. Later, when he created the Ark out of the four cybertronian starships signifying the unity of the Transformers, he said that all were finally one. End

Dreamwave comics continuity
In the War Within, the Autobot Council of Ancients held court in a chamber embossed with the same logo that had appeared on Omega Prime's sword.

The Seal of Primus also had 'til all are one written on it.

IDW comics continuity
The Megatron Origin miniseries shows a much darker use for the phrase. During a gladiatorial death match between Megatron and an unnamed opponent, the crowd begin to chant the phrase, apparently attempting to goad Megatron into finishing off his opponent. It is unknown why the crowd would choose this chant to encourage a gladiator to kill someone. Possibley that one is last mech standing

This IDW series is based on the decline of the Roman empire. The audience are the ones to decide the fate of the defeated gladiator, so they can tell the victor to kill the loser.

The chant may signify the union of Alpha and Omega (begining and end) of a Transformer's life.

Shattered Glass
In the Shattered Glass timeline, a parallel universe, Optimus Prime sports a mocking juxtaposition of the famous saying on his alternate mode, stating "'Til all are gone!"
During a fight with Megatron, Optimus was ganged up on by several Predacons who nearly destroyed him. Ultra Magnus showed after having followed Sky-Byte via a hidded tracking device. Feigning compassion and understanding his brother's heavy burden in carrying the Matrix, Ultra Magnus pretended to offer Prime his helping hand, only to seize it and force the two of them to combine. What he didn't expect, though, was that Optimus had as much control over their new body as UM did. The two struggle until Jetifre is face-down, and Sunstorm prepares to finish Jetfire with his blasters, but he's caught off guard by Jetfire shooting lasers from the back of his head. With Sunstorm down, Jetfire and Starscream leave while they can.

On board the Orion, Jetfire and Starscream confer with Brawn, Ratchet, and Bumblebee regarding the nature of Sunstorm and how he should be handled. Bumblebee shows a bit of skepticism, which, with agitation from Starscream , almost causes a skirmish. Jetfire however cuts the hostilities and announces that he's deduced a manner of anticipating Sunstorm's destination.

On Cybertron, Prowl attempts to make an address to the public, but is overwhelmed by a barrage of citizens expressing their concerns over various issues. Magnus however intervenes and uses his authority to provide diplomatic assistance.<br>
Afterwards, Prowl, Kup, and Ironhide reflect on the political changes to Cybertron and toss around the idea of leaving Cybertron to the civilians while the soldiers hunt down Decepticons elsewhere.

The Earth-Decepticons limp away from The Orion, partially refueled as part of a deal for Starscream's co-operation in recovering the other Autobots (defeated prior to #1) and taking care of Sunstorm. Onboard, Cliffjumper and Brawn debate against Bumper on the justice of the arrangement Bumblebee's made. Overhearing Brawn's side, Bumblebee loses some self-esteem.

Elsewhere on the ship, Starscream whines as Ratchet and Jetfire synthesize a device that will simulate Starscream's energy signature to misdirect Sunstorm. Jetfire is fascinated by Sunstorm's (a clone) self-repairing capabilities and his ability to manifest great power from a solar-powered fusion reactor without expiring. The plan is developed: Get Sunstorm to over-exert himself and attach the artificial-Starscream to cancel his super-abilities. As soon as this plan is explained, Sunstorm is seen on radar heading towards the Orion.

Bumblebee takes a jet to confront Sunstorm, with three other Autobots wearing jetpacks. Jetfire protests the arrangement, saying that he should be in battle instead of remaining on the Orion to make sure Starscream doesn't misbehave. But soon after Bumblebee places the first hit against Sunstorm, Sunstorm is able to down Bumblebee's ship with a single blast. With the rest of the Autobots unable to fight, Jetfire abandons his duty and joins the combat.

With Jetfire on the scene, Sunstorm is brought crashing to the ground. Bumblebee takes the opportunity to fine the inhibitor on Sunstorm, who tries to resist the technology's interference. With his systems compromised, Sunstorm rockets away to recover. With Sunstorm gown, Bumbblebee considers the encounter a good job, while Jetfire, his armor disabled, still worries that Sunstorm could be a menace, so he activates his one last hidden card.

In Alaska, Starscream recovers in a cave, and the crippled Sunstorm comes begging for help. But before Starscream can do anything, part of the mountain is collapsed by….
