During a major battle, [[Wheeljack (Armada)|Wheeljack]] had become trapped under some rubble in the middle of an inferno. Hot Shot could not free his friend, and left, promising to return with help.

However, Hot Shot's unit commander and his subordinate refused to help Wheeljack, saying that the flames were too hot to enter. Hot Shot objected and attempted to run back in, only to be obstructed by his fellow soldier and struck down by his officer. The officer cited that they could not risk the unit to save only one 'bot.

Hot Shot eventually got up, and despite the warnings of a court-martial, raced back into the flames hoping to save his friend.

Hot Shot failed and fainted in the fires. The Autobot officer pulled him out, but Hot Shot was put under Optimus Prime's direct command after this event.

There he confronted Makeshift and the pair dueled with swords until Wheeljack was victorious. Bulkhead tossed Makeshift back through the GroundBridge along with a "present" for the 'cons.

Filling the other Autobots in, Wheeljack found himself chafing over the need for secrecy. When Dreadwing called him to arrange a meeting, Wheeljack took Bulkhead to try and trap the Decepticon. A [[Delta Team]] member named [[Arcee (Prime)|Arcee]] left her unit to join Team Prime after the demise of her [[Tailgate (Prime)|partner]], {{storylink|Predatory}} and a [[Wrecker]] named Bulkhead also left his unit to join Team Prime {{storylink|Con Job}} The team had an altercation on [[Polyhex]] {{storylink|Out of His Head}} In the final days of the war, [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]'s core was poisoned, forcing the whole [[Transformer]] race, including Team Prime, into exile. Following the death of Cliffjumper, Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee went [[Kid-appeal character|partnered up with and assignned to protect Jack, Miko, and Raf]].
