Inferno is one gung-ho robot, ready and willing to roll out into the thick of any action at the drop of a hat. If the mission is search and rescue he's one of the best bots to have around, but he's even happier when called on to fight. Nothing gets Inferno's circuits going like a one-on-one with a few Decepticon trouble makers. During his down time he can generally be found hanging out with Red Alert and trying his best to keep Red out of trouble.
*Inferno (Autobot, 1985)
: Japanese ID number: C-10

: Inferno transforms into a Japanese firetruck. Each of his forearms contains a spring-loaded missile launcher, so he can fire his own fists or silver missiles. He is usually depicted in media has having a missile in place of a hand on his right arm. He is also armed with a small black rifle.

: In 2002, Inferno was re-released as part of Takara's Transformers Collection series.

: In 2003, he was released by Hasbro in the Toys "R" Us exclusive "Commemorative Series" line.

: This mold was redecoed and partially retooled to make the Targetmaster Artfire, and Grapple.

*Inferno with Hydro-Pack (Action Master, 1990)

: A non-transforming action figure with a simplified design, Inferno came with a Hydro-Pack that could be attached to his back or transformed into a large hand held Laser weapon. He is compatible with all other Action Master weapons and vehicles.

Generation 2
*Inferno (Autobot Hero, 1993)
: For Generation 2, Inferno's original toy was re-used with virtually no deco changes, adding only the "Autobot" tampograph. His forearms were retooled to remove the spring-loaded launcher mechanism (the chromed missiles from the original releases were also dropped), but he came with a large red water-shooting cannon that clipped to his ladder.

Trivia
*Inferno's original toy, slightly modified, was knocked off and used as the titular giant robot in the Korean animated film Phoenix King (피닉스킹). Phoenix King was dubbed (horribly) and released in America by Digiview Entertainment as Defenders of Space, generally selling for the bargain price of $1.00. Scenes of "Inferno" from this movie were also incorporated into another bargain film distributed by Digiview Entertainment, Space Thunder Kids.

*In the late 1990s, a knockoff of G2 Inferno with some yellow parts was sold in discount stores on a card reading "Transformers: Generation 3."

*The earliest pictured version of Action Master Inferno is largely different from the final version, but only upon close examination. The early version errs on the side of the original toy in color and design, while the final more closely follows the design of the animation model. Strangely, the early version has a nearly solid black block of a head (possibly to echo the ladder base in which the original's head was contained), as well as generally wider and chunky proportions.
His commanders can't give him orders simplistic enough for him to understand, so they just point him in the direction of objects that need to be smashed, and turn him loose. The only thing that distinguishes him from a wild beast is the enjoyment he derives from his terrible rampages.
This terminology, coupled with the presence of the previously deceased Black Zarak in their ranks and Violen Jygar's supernatural origins, could mean that Abominus died previously to Zone and was likewise brought back to life. However, this is unconfirmed, meaning that Violen Jygar may have simply recruited the still-living Abominus to be a General.)

When Violen Jygar siezed command of the Decepticons, his first act was to recruit nine Demon-Generals from Decepticon history. Abominus was selected to be one of those Generals and was given new power and weaponry to make him an even greater threat than before. Abominus was sent to the Planet Feminia to wreak havoc along with Menasor and Overlord. Together, the three Decepticon Demon-Generals destroyed the entire planet and nearly killed Victory Saber in the process.
Generation 1 cartoon
In envy of the Autobot's vehicular modes, Megatron stole various human vehicles and customised them so he can have his own car team, the Stunticons. Before they were given sparks, he brought them out for a test drive via remote control, forcing them to flip, somersault, fly off the road, drive up cliffs and bash through forests without a scratch. Having satisfied Megatron's idea of normalcy, he headed to Cybertron to get redneck personalities for them, save for Emocon. They join to become ugly animated Menasor.
Marvel comic continuity
Dreamwave Comics continuity
At some point in Cybertron's recent history, the Stunticons were deemed psychotic and too dangerous to function in society, and as a result were placed into perpetual stasis lock inside of a prison facility. Later, in an attempt to create a diversion while he set his final plans in motion, Shockwave arranged for the release of the Stunticons. They formed into Menasor and ran amuck for awhile, until Ultra Magnus arrived and began insulting them. Unable to reconcile with this, the five Stunticons began to bicker with each other over whose fault it was that they were failing, temporarily stopping Menasor and allowing Ultra Magnus to ram the combiner in the chest, forcing him to separate into his component parts and disabling the Stunticons.

: Motormaster transforms into a black Kenworth K100 Aerodyne sleeper truck pulling a long dark silver trailer. Unlike many Transformers truck toys, his trailer is pernamently attached to the cab. Motormaster can assume a base/repair bay mode which can connect to the Decepticon city Trypticon or the Autobot city Metroplex. A small black scout car that is included can be used in this mode.

: In robot mode, Breakdown's legs transformers similarly to Dead End's, flipping and inverting. He is armed with a small blue laser pistol. As he was designed with the Scramble City-style cobination, he can form the arm or leg to any similarly-constructed robot combination, though his nominal placement is as the right leg to Menasor.
: Menasor is formed by transforming Motormaster into his torso mode, attaching a chest plate/scout car, waist armour and mask on him, then connecting the other Stunticons into the appropriate limb slots in Motormaster's arms and legs. Fists and feet are then attached to the limbs. He is armed with Motormaster's sword and cyclone rifle.
