While a transforming bunny rabbit, '''Moon''' (ムーン ''Mūn'') is not of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertronian]] origin, but is a relic from the past of [[Gaea]] (future [[Earth]]). He is stationed on the moon orbiting the planet along with his partner, [[Artemis]]. Together, they watch the battle unfold between the [[Maximal|Maximals]] and the [[Predacon (BW)|Predacons]], gathering data in secret. He also ends every sentence with the word "moon".

Moon's special ability is the power to become invisible. He's also remarkably good at saying things that upset Artemis. He's ''not'' so good at avoiding the giant red mallet Artemis swings at his skull when she's upset, however.

Together, they could also partake in various other tasks, such as a mission to break a boulder to reveal an energon crystal hidden within before sundown, using a block in a mission to defend themselves against various incoming projectiles, and missions to run across a pit-riddled field, sometimes involving hideously large bacteria that had to be fended off.

'''Artemis''' (アルテミス ''Arutemisu'') is a gynoid stationed on the [[Moon (moon)|moon]] of [[Gaea]] alongside her partner, [[Moon (BWII)|Moon]]. Artemis's job is to observe the war between [[Lio Convoy]]'s [[Maximal]]s and [[Galvatron (BWII)|Galvatron]]'s [[Predacon (BW)|Predacons]], gathering all the information she can. She is very flaky and ill-tempered, and occasionally takes her frustrations out on Moon with a big mallet.

She has a disturbing [[Transformer romance|crush]] on both [[Scuba]] and [[Starscream (BWII)|Starscream]], not quite sure which one she likes better.

From the beginning, Artemis and Moon watched over the Beast Wars on Gaea from their lunar sanctuary. At the end of each conflict, Artemis would relate the information gathered from the conflict, as well as the conflict's "lesson" ([[PSA|and knowing is half the battle!]]) to the camera. She was rivals (from a distance) with the [[Seacon (BWII)|Seacon]] [[Scylla]], who was also in love with Scuba.

When Gaea came under immediate threat from Galvatron's [[Nemesis (BWII)|Nemesis]], Artemis used all her power to help the Maximals. She and Moon finally made direct contact with the Transformers and helped them escape Gaea and reach Nemesis. In the final battle, her moonbase was obliterated, though she and Moon survived.
