Mostly accurate to the prop vehicle (though the wheels are rather incorrect), Ratchet is missing sculpted detailing for the rear doors and lights on the back of the vehicle, owing to the fact this is where his knee joints are situated. Ratchet is also missing significant amounts of paint applications, with unpainted wheels, emergency tool and light details as well as a underpainted face, resulting in a rather monochromatic toy.

:During transforming, unfolding his legs will activate his [[Automorph]]ing feature, which folds out his kneepads, feet and 'bulge'-out two small panels along the inner calf. In robot mode, Ratchet is bulkier than his CGI movie design, with larger, blockier limbs evoking a more 'traditional' Transformers appearance. He features a reasonable amount of articulation, though his windshield halves and the rear brush guards may occassionally interfere with his arms and legs.

:The only Autobot to not feature a ranged weapon, Ratchet's right forearm unfolds into an axe, and the removable rollbar/roof rack can either be mounted on his left arm or stored on his back.

First Lieutenant '''Jazz''' is one happy-go-lucky Autobot. Good-natured and always able to take things in his stride, he provides a decent contrast to the more serious demeanour of [[Ironhide (Movie)|Ironhide]] or [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Prime]] himself. He's also a talker, something Ironhide and Prime like to tease him about. He might be the smallest Autobot but he's by no means a coward. His only real complaint is that he gets stuck fighting the small ones.

He had to...split. He gets trapped by Megatron (under his gigantic metallic feet) and has... words with Megatron, so Megatron sorta kinda rips him into multiple pieces. But no worries, according to some product detail about an upcoming deluxe class repaint of Jazz, [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]] rebuilds him and gives him a [[G1]] like paint job. Then he probably disappears before the next movie.

Optimus wasn't really shocked by the death of Jazz. He just won't party after the fight. jazz will come back in

'''Chip Chase''' is a human ally of the [[Autobot]]s and [[Spike Witwicky]]'s best friend. Suffering from some unknown malady, Chip is confined to a wheelchair. He isn't defined by his disability though, but rather by his geeky genius-level skills with computers, programming, and electronics.

He also has tremendous upper body strength.

Chip Chase came to the attentions of the Autobots as a friend of [[Spike Witwicky]] and the whiz behind [[Dr. Alcazar]]'s antimatter formula project. Though the Decepticons stole the antimatter formula, Chip memorized the data.

Chip has a remarkably advanced (or at least ridiculously expensive) desktop computer for 1984. It contains among other things, a 16 Million color monitor (Chip's view of the Decepticons was no different than [[Prowl (G1)|Prowl's]]), a microphone, dial up networking, speakers, and a soundcard that could interpret Prowl's speech. Maybe he's friends with [[Ethan Zachary]].

Chip once tore a [[Floppy disk|floppy disk]] apart with '' his bare hands''. This may explain why [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] is [[Afterdeath!|keen to stay in his good books]].

Chip is able to survive [[acid rain]], is able to stand (despite being wheelchair bound), and once saved the world by getting [[Thrust (G1)|Thrust]] to shoot [[Teletraan-1]].

He once told a group of Autobots that, "No one is really disabled as long as they have courage." If any human was an illustration of this, it's Chip Chase.
