To accomplish the task Wheelie was paired with fast-talking [[Blurr (G1)|Blurr]]. Galvatron soon stranded them on Io, that villainous cur! Attacked by [[lipole]]s, things began to look grim. But then [[Marissa Faireborn]] and [[Sky Lynx]] came to rescue them! With the cog at last delivered, Metroplex came alive. He thrashed [[Trypticon]] and that Decepticon took a dive!

When [[Slugfest]] and [[Overkill]], took hostage [[Carly]] and [[Spike Witwicky|Spike]], [[Daniel Witwicky|Daniel]] went berserk and started to strike! Sending the Cassette dinosaurs running back home, Soundblaster was left open to an attack from [[Chromedome (G1)|Chromedome]]. As the Autobots left Earth, Wheelie and Daniel said "Goodbye". They huggled and they snuggled and the reader just screamed "WHY!?!"

[[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] joined their side, but thought Gnaw was attacking and beat his hide. Wheelie thought him a brute, and in retaliation, he bit the [[Supreme Commander]]'s boot.

As Thunderwing speeds through hyperspace toward [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], Optimus Prime and the Wreckers frantically prepare for his arrival. They're not the only ones; under Megatron's orders, the [[Predacon (G1)|Predacons]] aboard the Decepticon warship ''[[Thanatos]]'' prepare to bombard Cybertron from orbit in order to destroy Thunderwing once and for all, though Razorclaw harbors reservations. As the Autobots engage Thunderwing, Razorclaw orders Divebomb to take a group of Decepticons and fight alongside the [[Wreckers]].

Jetfire finally uncovers an item in Bludgeon's files; if Thunderwing is subjected to a massive assault, he will drain his supply of [[Energon#IDW_Comics_Continuity|Ultra Energon]] ever faster. [[Dogfight]] reprograms Bludgeon's remaining [[Centurion droid|Centurion drones]] (of which there are many), adding to the combined Transformers' firepower. As the drones are destroyed and Razorclaw orders his Decepticons back, Optimus Prime moves in, blasting Thunderwing until he runs out of Energon. Razorclaw cancels his warship's bombing run.
