==Synopsis==

On the [[Moon (moon)|Moon]], Megatron and Thrust discuss the necessary tactics needed for the Decepticons to obtain the Requiem Blaster. Megatron agrees to give up the [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]] for the time, but only on the condition that Thrust's plan is effective, or else Thrust would pay.

The [[Autobots]] hide in the jungle, waiting (on an anonymous tip) that the [[Decepticons]] are in the area. Smokescreen and Red Alert stay behind at the Autobot base, protecting the Space Team Mini-Cons, in case the Decepticons attack. Smokescreen tries to make friends with the Minis, while the kids debate the ethics of using the Mini-Cons in battle. At the same time, the Autobots in the jungle have a similar debate.

Laserbeak detects Starscream in the area. Armed with the Star Saber, Starscream screams and tries to draw out the Autobots with yelling. After Starscream begins to destroy the jungle, Optimus and Jetfire combine to fight back. Spying from a distance, Megatron and his goons wonder where the Requiem Blaster is. Tidal Wave and the Sea Mini-Con Team also fire into the forest to draw out the rest of the Autobots.

The kids and Red Alert find their equipment at the base is malfunctioning, courtesy of Sideways. Sideways also telepathically whispers images of the Requiem Blaster in the Autobot base to Thrust, but the tactician dismisses the message as a hallucination.

In the sky, Starscream strikes at Prime. With a flash of lightning, it suddenly starts to rain all over the forest. After the two warriors land, Optimus tries to reason with Starscream, but Starscream never listens and attacks the Autobot leader. Yet not a single slash connects. Eventually the Star Saber deactivates (possibly damaged from the rain), so Starscream calls for help from the other Decepticons. But to his dismay, Starscream finds all the other Decepticons have abandoned him, leaving Starscream on his own against the six Autobots. Before the six can beat down on lone Decepticon, Laserbeak brings a message to the team that the Decepticons have invaded the base. The Autobots teleport home, leaving Starscream to cry in the rain.

The Autobots find their base trashed, with the kids in hiding. With help from Sideways, the Decepticons were able to invade the base and bypass the security systems that stopped them [[Swoop (Armada episode)|before]]. In another section of the base, Smokescreen tries to protect the Mini-Cons. Megatron blows into the room and tears past Smokescreen, claiming the three Mini-Cons and combining them into the Requiem Blaster. Smokescreen refuses to star down and takes on Megatron by himself, but Megatron fires blaster right at Smokescreen.

A torrent of energy pours from the blaster, shoving Smokescreen right through one of the Autobot's walls, his scream stunning the Autobots and humans. Even after such heavy abuse, Smokescreen rises again, a wide hole straight through his own torso, and his pieces all banged out of shape. The Autobot approaches Megatron while the air around him still ripples in the heat of the last blast. The determination of the melting Autobot scares the Decepticons into retreating with their prize.

In Optimus's arms, Smokescreen deactivates. The Autobots salute their fallen comrade, and Optimus screams in sadness.

''Surrounded by flames, Hot Shot tries life off a large piece of debris holding down Wheeljack's legs. Over Wheeljack's protest, Hot Shot runs to get additional assistance, leaving his friend waiting. Outside of the flames, Hot Shot's superior refuses to let Hot Shot endanger himself by entering the flames again.''

On Earth, the kids mock Sideswipe's self-introduction. Sideswipe greets Blurr, but Blurr is embarassed and denies knowing Sideswipe. After coming inside, Sideswipe stands on his own head and calls for help to jog Blurr's memory of the two meeting.<br>

''On a sunny [[Cybertron]], Sideswipe has been suspended upside down (possibly due to a poor attempt at a parachute landing). After a brief name exchange, Blurr blasts the rope holding Sideswipe in place.''<br>

Seeking his savior, Sideswipe followed Blurr to Earth. But Blurr has no interest in the enthusiastic wannabe and walks away. When Sideswipe tries to follow, he stumbles and disturbs Blurr's work. Blurr, Optimus, and Hot Shot meet and decide that Hot Shot is best suited to becomes Blurr's mentor.

Fred and Billy play a videogame. Billy wins, but both players are scolded by Alexis.

Hot Shot walks out into the rain to take Sideswipe under his wing. After the two are introduced, they go to the target range. Sideswipe manages to destroy his target, but without anything close to precision. Outside, Sideswipe display that he can't Transform very fast either.

''Wheeljack, stranded inside of the burning terrain, calls out for help. While Hot Shot doesn't answer, Megatron marches from the flames.''

By a pretty lake, Sideswipe and Hot Shot have a heart to heart. Sideswipe explains how he idolizes the dedication of Blurr, but Hot Shot instead suggests Side Swipe set more reasonable goals to find his own identity. A black car monitors the two in secret.

Alexis enjoys Fred and Billy's video game.

Cruising on a highway, the black car agressively approaches the two Autobots. They attempt to ignore him (assuming he's domestic to the planet), but Wheeljack knocks away Side Swipe and shows his defaced Autobot logo to Hot Shot. Sideswipe connects with his Mini-Con and accelerates to fight back, while Hot Shot remembers:

''On Cybertron, years ago, Hot Shot is appointed the supervisor of an enthusiastic younger bot. In Person, Wheeljack's idolization is matches Side Swipe's idolization of Blurr. Wheeljack then cryptically mentions the possibility of the two being separated by battle.''

Use of holograms, vanishing, and aggressive driving allow Wheeljack to easily knock Sideswipe off of a cliff on one side of the road. With the younger Autobot out of the way, Hot Shot and Wheeljack are formally reintroduced. Wheeljack disregards Hot Shot apology for the abandonment on Cybertron and explains how Megatron saved and recruited him. Now the two stand on opposite sides, and Wheeljack faces down Hot Shot with his weapon drawn... and fires.

* Hot Shot and Wheeljack are drawn without the details that indicate having terrestrial alternate modes. But Megatron is animated in his Earth animation model, instead of the pre-scan animation model he had in [[First Encounter (Armada episode)|First Encounter]]
* Wheeljack claims that he isn't here for revenge, when the rest of the episode clearly shows he's obsessed with the past and is here to take revenge on Hot Shot. This is perhaps due to translation errors or merely Wheeljack's own twisted perspective.
