Hammerstrike transforms into a [[technorganic]] hammerhead with a very odd, alien, spindly looking robot mode. If there are two guys with the same name, from the same continuity, of the same faction, then use subgroups as dividers. I'd like to bring up, in a less hostile environment, the Cybertron/Cybertronic/Cybertronian/Cybertronix discussion again. This is my preference originally, because we do have separate words to cover the four different definitions at hand, and I think encouraging people to use them within the confines of this wiki would be a productive thing to do, since it would introduce consistency and help eliminate ambiguity or confusion. Clearly using "Cybertronian" as a generic adjective isn't wrong. It shows up endlessly in the fiction, significantly more than "Cybertronic" does. But "Cybertronic" has no other defintion, whereas "Cybertronian" also means "those guys from G2". I grant that "Cybertron" as a name for a member of the race is the same as the name of the planet, and consequently I have the least strong feelings about it. But "Cybertronic" is, in my opinion, a very useful word. Therefore, I stand behind the suggestion that we come up with a consistent way to use "Cybertron*" words on this site, even though I don't think it was originally brought up in an appropriate way. -[[User:LV|LV]] 20:22, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

:By what process do you suggest we pick these usages? My knowledge of the canon is a lot less detailed than yours, so, maybe you're remembering things I'm not, but I can't imagine any basis for deciding that a particular variant of the word is going to mean one thing and not another thing. In my mind, Cybertronian and Cybertronic are both completely generic descriptors with no distinguishing uses aside from Cybertronian having been applied to Jhiaxus' forces in addition to its myriad generic uses.

My feeling is that it is an arbitrary decision which would improve clarity while not having any disadvantages. I would assume most people, when encountering "Cybertronic" or "Cybertronian", are not going to be totally at a loss as to what the terms mean. I am not necessarily even saying that people should go back over submitted entries and change them. I disagree that it is "hardly confusing", Siph. I find the very notion of doing this at all to be confusing. Both words have widespread use to mean "from Cybertron". In my experience, the word you are suggesting changing the usage of -- Cybertronian -- is in far ''greater'' use than the one you are suggesting we leave alone. (Googling for "transformers" and "cybertronic" returns less than a thousand hits, while "transformers" and "cybertronian" returns over 56 thousand, which I would say supports me on that point.) As well as Cybertronian being a far more common word than Cybertronic when one wants to say "from Cybertron", the "from Cybertron" meaning for the word is also far more common than the "G2 dudes" meaning is. Cybertronian means "from Cybertron". That is its main, most prominent meaning.

I will concede that if a group of people make an agreement to use a particular word to mean a particular thing, that it will eliminate ambiguity when talking amongst themselves. But, that's only useful if everybody knows the definition being used and, further, likes that definition. I am pretty confident that the vast majority of fans think of the terms as interchangeable. I will also concede that the meaning of "Cybertronic" is obvious. However, boosting usage of it would just make people wonder why we're using it instead of "Cybertronian"... the meaning of which is ''also'' obvious, unless one is using it in the meaning that you are suggesting we use it in exclusively.

LV's initial post led me to believe that there wasn't already a specific set of definitions in mind. I was willing to entertain suggestions. If this is the suggestion, though -- "Cybertronian" = G2 Guys, "Cybertronic" = from Cybertron -- I object pretty strongly. Any guideline that states or even implies that "Cybertronian" should not be used in the "from Cybertron" sense is totally unacceptable to me. That runs counter to decades of in-canon and fan usage.

The SUGGESTION is simply that to help avoid confusion with the G2 Cybertronians, people generally make use in the future of the OTHER canon "from Cybertron" adjective that HAS no other canonical definition in future entries. I can't for the life of me understand the objection to the suggestion that we encourage -not ENFORCE- the use of another CANON term.<br>

For whatever it's worth, I wanted to voice some strong support for the notion of citing sources. We should be as exhaustive about where we're finding our information as possible. There are a surprisingly large number of instances where there are plot points or characters that have entries of their own, but I have no idea where they're coming from. If it's a comic book, issue number, publisher, title and country of origin should be the bare minimum. Likewise with all other items. I'm not suggesting we create an instance of every time Optimus Prime has occured within all of the continuties. We as a project should be interested in providing enough information that point readers in the right direction for further reference.

A perfect For-Instance would be the [[Fixer Bug]] entry. I have no idea what a Fixer Bug is. From the entry, I can determine it has something to do with the Minicons, but appearance data is completely absent. There's an image on the page, but there's absolutely no data about where this image came from. My point is that specific information should be heartily encouraged, if not required. Perhaps we can develop a flag or category (unsure of what technologically we could do) for entries that are wanting for this sort of information.

A perfectly fine example exists in the entry on [[U.S. 1]]. It's an obscure reference, but the information on the page is enough to let the reader know where to go for further information, and where within the Transformers' continuities this particular bit of ephemera falls. It can be as simple as that. I think that should be a minimum requirement.

Rampage was created by a [[Maximal]] experiment to recreate [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream's]] mutant, immortal [[Spark]]. Though argueably successful in this regard, the creation (then called Protoform X) was unstable. Point in fact, he was criminally insane. He destroyed [[Colony Omicron]], killing all of its inhabitants save a lone security officer, [[Depth Charge (BW)|Depth Charge]], who would eventually track him down and capture him. Afterwards, the [[Maximal Elders]] had him placed into a [[stasis pod]] aboard an exploration vessel, the [[Axalon (BW)|Axalon]]. They instructed its commander, [[Optimus Primal (BW)|Optimus Primal]], to dump him on some barren word in deep space.

Rampage was in one of the several Stasis Pods jettisoned by Optimus when the Axalon was damaged by [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron's]] Predacons, and only fell out of orbit far into the Beast Wars. Battle near his stasic pod shocked Rampage into activation, and he promptly set out to terrorize all nearby Transformers. After being defeated, Megatron discovered the unconscious Rampage and (using a blade of pure [[Energon]], the only thing which can damage Rampage) removed a portion of his indestructible Spark. Megatron placed his portion of Rampage's spark in a special cage lined with Energon crystals, which allowed him to torture him whenever Megs desired, thereby forcing Rampage to swear fealty.

Later, Depth Charge arrived on the prehistoric Earth with the single-minded goal of destroying Rampage. They met in battle numerous times, fairly evenly matched. In their final battle, Depth Charge managed to ram a large Energon Crystal into Rampage's exposed spark, but only with Rampage's permission, while laughing maniacally, resulting in an explosion powerful enough to destroy both Transformers.

It's not so much that '''Rattrap''' is a coward... he just doesn't want to die. He's seen enough battles to know the score, so he's not afraid to tell his commanding officer to shove it if he's not fond of the odds. He prefers to sneak around unseen, in gutters or trenches or trash barges or what have you -- whatever keeps him out of harm's way. He shouldn't be so worried. When he does encounter conflict, he deals with it masterfully with the arsenal of guns and bombs he keeps on himself at all times. He feels naked without them.

It's hard to like Rattrap, especially if you're his commanding officer. He's sarcastic, irreverent, and rude. Plus he smells. He's also not the most trusting or forgiving sort, so he's not the best choice to take on a diplomatic run. He'd sooner shoot a [[Predacon]] or [[Decepticon]] than talk to them.

Her [[stasis pod]] damaged upon crashing to Earth, Airazor was able to come online due to the genius of [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]] and the bravery of [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]]. Rhinox deftly opperated the stasis pod's controls and Cheetor offered up his own components to repair it. Her aerial beast mode made her the only Maximal other than [[Optimus Primal (BW)|Optimus]] who could fly during Season 1 of the cartoon. She and Tigatron started to team up more frequently during the first season, leading to them going off together to find the rest of the missing stasis pods after the destruction of the [[Planet Buster]].

While on their search, the two Maximals discovered another [[Vok]] site and were absorbed and shot into space by the giant plant that formed after the site was triggered. The two were kept in a form of stasis until the episode "[[Other Victories]]", when they were merged together in the powerful being [[Tigerhawk (BW)|Tigerhawk]]. Tigerhawk returned to Earth as the emissary of the Vok to stop the deteriation that the Beast Wars was causing to the timestream.

After [[Tarantulas (BW)|Tarantulas]] removed the Vok's influence from Tigerhawk's frame (and absorbed it into himself), Airazor and Tigatron's [[spark]]s inhabited Tigerhawk's body. However, it seems that Tigatron's voice and personality were dominant.

One of the original members of [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron's]] crew that stole the [[Golden Disk]], Terrorsaur usually teamed up with [[Waspinator (BW)|Waspinator]] to act as the Predacon's air power. Throughout the Beast Wars Terrorsaur turned on Megatron at the drop of a hat, and was willing to team up with anyone who suggested doing so. In "[[Equal Measures]]" it was [[Dinobot (BW)|Dinobot]], in "[[Double Jeopardy]]" it was [[Rattrap (BW)|Rattrap]], and in "[[Dark Designs]]" it was an evil [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]].

His shining moment came during the episode "[[Power Surge]]". Terrorsaur discovered a floating mountain with a stable cache of [[energon]] that super charged his frame and allowed him to easily depose Megatron. However, the power boost was brief in duration, and the Maximals were able to destroy the floating mountain before Terrorsaur could implement any of his grand designs. Even worse, none of the Predacons followed his lead and they brought Megatron back online while he was fighting the Maximals.

Eventually, after being beaten back into line after each attempted takeover, Terrorsaur seemed to resign himself to his station... or, at least, decided to bide his time.

Terrorsaur's Beast Wars adventure came to an end when he was knocked into a lava pool by the [[quantum surge]] that resulted from the [[Planet Buster]]'s destruction. His hand was briefly seen glowing, indicating that Terrorsaur was going through [[transmetal|transmetalization]]. This was probably included as a "Trap Door" so the writers could resurrect Terrorsaur or Scorponok if they needed them later.

In 2005, a supposed Takara "release" schedule listed the Block Town sets among several other future items coming out. Only the ''[[Cybertron (franchise)|Galaxy Force]]'' items on that list saw release, however (and some only as store [[exclusive]]s to boot).

Since very little information exists on the line's more fictional aspects, it is unknown if this toy was to be the same general character Rapido, or a new character altogether.

Certain Vehicon Generals doubt the existance of a mysterious [[technorganic]] unicorn that doesn't show up on radar, moves without sound, appears and dissapears like magic, and leaves only scrambled indeciferable sensor logs in his wake. Those that have fought '''Battle Unicorn''' however quickly learn that his fanciful alternate mode and prosaic designation disguise a powerful warrior, as intelligent and stealthy as he is skilled with his battle axe should a combatant actually manage to engage him. His stealth armor, sound dampners, sensor scrambleing hoof-stomps, and unique teleportation abillities combine to make this a rare occurance, and make Battle Unicorn an excelent scout.

[[Unicron]] created the Mini-Cons to be mindless tools, sent to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] as an agitating element to the Transformers' civil war. The power-enhancing "smart tools" would be unleashed upon the populace, who would snap them up, bond with them, and the war would only get bloodier, as Unicron drank in the negative psychic energies from the death and destruction. Once he'd gathered the power he needed, the Mini-Cons would turn on their supposed masters, incapacitating them, and Unicron would fully awaken to devour the planet and all Transformers on it, eliminating his biggest obstacle to devouring all of existance.

But through a strange warp in space and time, three [[human]] children from the future -[[Rad White|Rad]], [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] and [[Alexis]]- were sent to the Mini-Cons' birthing chamber on Cybertron just seconds before the small robots emerged from their pods. As the Mini-Cons had been designed to form mental bonds with other life forms, when Rad touched the Mini-Con who he knew from the future as [[High Wire (UT)|High Wire]], High Wire apparently formed his bond then, with Rad... and through the Mini-Cons' shared "soul dimension", the [[Linkage (dimension)|Linkage]], sentience and free will spread throughout the Mini-Cons, forming "souls", and crippling Unicron's plans drastically.

Mini-Cons are a 3rd race of Transformer, mostly living in designated sectors to to themselves, which left the open to attack when [[Megatron (UT)|Megatron]] led his Decepticons on capture raids. Mini-Cons are capable of adding their power (disproportionate to their size) to a Transformer with whom they powerlink. Mini-Cons are also capable of tapping an extradimensional energy source of unknown origin, but are wary of doing this, and most have inhibitors installed to prevent this from happening.

[[Over-Run (UT)|Over-Run]], a Mini-Con refugee from another dimension led Cybertron's collected Mini-Cons in tapping that dimension's energies and channeling them into an attack on Unicron which left him stranded on the far fringes of space.
After Unicron's defeat, Most Mini-Cons re-established their villages in the Mini-Con sector. When Unicron appeared again 10 years later, no one went to fetch the Mini-cons to battle Unicron again, so it seems likely the Mini-Cons connection to their extradimensional power source was severed.

Blackarachnia's original toy was a [[redeco]] of the [[Tarantulas (BW)|Tarantulas]] mold, transforming into a rather generic-looking organic spider.

Her Transmetal toy was a McDonalds Happy Meal pack-in. It rather resembles some sort of dust mite more than a spider and the robot mode appears to have fallen out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Somehow I doubt we'd have ever had the Silverbolt-love plot if she'd had this form in the show... shudder.

The Transmetal 2 mold was also used by the [[BotCon]] [[exclusive]] [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]].

'''Soundwave''' is possibly Planet X's most physically intimidating warrior, but his ''true'' talent and the real threat comes from his "mad skillz" at creating confusion. His audio-altering abilities let him change his voice to sound like virtually anyone, or focus devastating sonic attacks. He also seems to be able to create illusions, though of limited duration, to further confuse his targets. The abilities of his [[Mini-Con]] companion [[Laserbeak (UT) (Mini-Con)|Laserbeak]] only increase Soundwave's ability to confound and crush.

Even his speech seems to be geared towards throwing people off-balance; though his tone is often a deadpan monotone (at least, when he's not impersonating someone else), his speech is that of a rave-club DJ, announcing loudly to "all the bots in the hizzouse" that he's here to "lay some science down on you all". Despite the appearance these mannerisms give off, he's actually a very serious-minded and focused robot, far more than his fellow Planet X agent [[Sideways (UT)|Sideways]]. His mission is manipulating [[Autobot]] and Decepticon alike to get his revenge on the citizens of [[Gigantion]], and serving the will of [[Unicron]].

Ultimately, Override was never released at retail. Originally intended to be packed in with Energon [[Ultra Magnus (UT) (Energon)|Ultra Magnus]], the Street Speed redeco Team was displayed at [[OTFCC 2003]], and the original versions were even pictured on the original Ultra Magnus boxes (Magnus himself appeared in [[Overload (UT)|Overload]] colors on the box, as he and the Armada redecoes [[Treadbolt (UT)|Treadbolt]] and [[Rapid Run (UT)|Rapid Run]] were very late additions to the very early part of the line). In the end, the Team was replaced with a redeco of the [[Space Mini-Con Team]]. Later releases of Ultra Magnus' box in other markets were altered to reflect this change.

Since Hasbro had gone through the process of [[trademark]]ing the names, they were later used in the [[Cybertron (franchise)|Cybertron]] line for the three most prominent residents of [[Velocitron]].
