As Unicron stands ready to attack Cybertron, the Autobots and Decepticons fight back. Galvatron takes extra time to deal with the issue of Thrust's betrayal of the rest of his species.

Detailed Synopsis
Unicron stands, his body surrounded by energy, destroying any ships that come close to him. While Galvatron orders his forces to retreat to a safe distance, Thrust sits on Unicron's shoulder, laughing at the feeble efforts to defeat his new god.

The Autobots and Decepticons try to determine how their armies could possibly defeat Unicron. Unicron suddenly takes action and prepares to attack the abandoned planetside. Hot Shot and Wheeljack lead some fighter planes, hoping to interrupt Unicron. While the fighters can't harm Unicron, they focus on Thrust.

The Cybertronian army's scanners finally detect a weak point on Unicron's neck. A plan is formed, giving Galvatron the opportunity to personally confront Thrust. Thrust stands on Unicron's shoulder, and notices that Unicron is making no responses to any advisement - he questions that perhaps the web of lies he had constructed might have been a mistake, be assured himself that Unicron is the right way. At this point, his sanity is clearly in question.

Optimus and Galvatron realize that the key to defeating Unicron lies within the Mini-Cons inside of Unicron. At the same time, the kids come to a similar conclusion. Before the plans are put into action, Unicron fires his massive energy cannon, blasting a very, very large portion out of Cybertron's landscape. Before Unicron fires again, Optimus and Galvatron commence their own attack, leaving their armies under the command of Hot Shot. The final war on Unicron begins, the Hydra Cannon positioned to use its force field to block the blast that could tear another chunk out of Cybertron.

Galvatron confronts Thrust. Thrust gloats, proclaiming the destruction of Cybertron is inevitable. But seconds after professing his desire to see Galvatron destroyed, Thrust bounces into a quickly closing crack in Unicron's armor. Squeezed, he begs Galvatron for help, before he is inevitably popped like a pathetic zit.

The Hydra Cannon's shields give up, letting Unicron's powerful blast head towards Cybertron's core, but before it makes contact, the glowing green Mini-Cons rush to block the shot. Before Unicron closes the panels that cover his cannon, Optimus and Galvatron sneak inside.

The Street Action Team announce they plan on going inside of Unicron too. The kids and Red Alert decide they're going along to help. The Mini-Cons outside combine into a massive green mirror of Unicron, who protects the kids long enough to sneak through the underground warp gate, but while the kids sneak through the gate in time, Red Alert is left buried in rubble.

With Optimus and Galvatron at Unicron's core, the kids and the Street Action Team are elsewhere in Unicron. Unicron battles the Mini-Con mirror of himself, while a combined army of Autobots and Decepticons engage in one final assault.
Galvatron: "You'll pay for this betrayal, Thrust. I'm angry. And do you remember how I get when I'm angry?"<br>
Thrust: "You don't scare me anymore, Galvatron. Unlike you, I've learned to choose my allies wisely. You're nothing but a bad joke. What were you thinking, joining forces with Optimus Prime and the Autobots? He's your enemy, remember? Did you expect me to grovel in front of you? Nah, not likely. I have no need for you. All we did was fight one meaningless battle after another. What was the point? You wanted to control the Mini-Cons and the universe, but we know that will never happen now. You lost control of the Decepticons, so what kind of leader does that make you if you can't manage your own kind? A pretty poor one, if you ask me."<br>
Thrust: "Unicron is completely different. He's enormous and totally invincible. And with someone like me to advise him on issues of importance, like which planets to devour and whose solar system to enslave, I see no reason why we shouldn't have a successful partnership."<br>
Notes
Differences with Micron Legend
Animation and/or technical glitches
* For the whole episode, Demolishor talks using Hoist's voice. Hoist also has one line in his own voice.

Continuity errors
* Billy refers to the Requiem Blaster as the "Auto Blaster", which could be a dubbing error or an error on part of the character.
* When combining, Prime calls Overload "Ultra Magnus", which is Overload's Japanese name.
* High Wire refers to the Mini-Cons within Unicron as Perceptor, but Perceptor is the combined form of the Street Action Team.

Real-world references
* In one scene of the episode before Thrust's death, Galvatron sounds like he is using Bruce Banner's line before he would turn into Hulk.

Miscellaneous trivia
* Overload is visible in robot mode.
* Isn't it irregular that the commercial break is opened with a shot of the Autobot logo appearing on Earth, when the story hasn't had any non-flashback scenes on Earth for nine episodes now?
* Thrust is the only named Armada character to die and not be resurrected at a later point in the Unicron trilogy.
* Sureshock speaks in English for the first time, and uses a male voice.
* Rad's gloves are excessively cool.
Synopsis
X-Brawn is tearing down a deserted forest road at night, with the Decepticon Commandos in hot pursuit. With Scourge and Armorhide closing in, the rugged SUV looks trapped...until he is able to take a quick detour into a nearby Global Space Bridge warp tunnel, leaving the Decepticons cursing both their luck and the Autobots' ever-pesky teleportation technology. The 'Cons quickly realise that the space bridge is proving too key an advantage to the Autobots to be left as it is; the ever-belligerent Armorhide is all in favour of blasting it to pieces, but Scourge takes more interest in Mega-Octane's suggestion of turning the technology against its creators...

Back in the city, the Autobot Build Team is busy doing what they do best. Finishing up work on the space bridge's Arctic tunnel link, they radio in to Optimus Prime to report that they're ahead of schedule, before Wedge suggests that they unwind with a little battle practice. Wedge and teammates Heavy Load and Hightower head off for the Battle Zone, leaving Grimlock to finish up by uploading the Arctic link data into the space bridge's computer network; little does he realise, however, that he is being trailed by Ro-Tor, and is inadvertently leading Scourge and his team right to the network's access terminal. The Decepticons bust into the terminal bunker after Grimlock has finished his routine programming chore, allowing Scourge to tamper with the space bridge's tracking and location systems before dispatching the Commandos for the next phase of his scheme.

With the Decepticon sabotage successful, Movor arrives in the city centre and begins causing mayhem. Responding to the disturbance, T-AI dispatches Team Bullet Train to the combat zone; however, thanks to Scourge's tamperings, the space bridge instead deposits the confused Autobots onto a busy freeway. Extremely peeved, Team Bullet Train return to Autobot headquarters, where Rapid Run and Wedge get into a heated argument over who's to blame for the malfunction. While Prime dispatches Build Team in a fruitless attempt to track down the cause of the error, the Commandos continue to wreak havoc in the urban centre, leading to Team Bullet Train being sent into the warp tunnels once more, along with the Autobot Brothers; Mega-Octane's continued interference, however, sees the Autobots dumped in a variety of undesirable locations and situations, including a pool of cement, a busy mall, and the middle of a baseball match attended by Koji.

This disruption, of course, is all part of Scourge's plan, as he explains as he arrives at the Autobot's North energy research facility with a delighted Megatron; with the Autobots trapped by their own space bridge, the Predacon leader will be free to plunder all the energy he needs. T-AI, however, is on the case; running a diagnostic on the computer systems, she discovers that the computer link at the main terminal building has been tampered with, and Build Team rush to the location to repair the damage. Seeing off the Commandos en route with a little help from Optimus, the construction bots are able to restore the network systems, and, once they learn of the Predacon attack on the energy facility, use the newly space bridge to track down the scattered Autobots for a final counter-attack against the Predacons at the energy facility.

Though initially shocked at the speed of the Autobots' response to their sabotage, Megatron and Scourge refuse to go down without a fight, with Megatron finding a vantage point atop a treacherous sheet of ice. Team Bullet Train prepares to combine to finish the fight...until Wedge intercedes on the behalf of Build Team, claiming that the Predacon sabotage of "their" space bridge has made this a matter of personal honour, as well as citing the builders' superiority on ice. Optimus accedes to Build Team's request, and the four construction bots respond by assuming their combined form, the imposing Landfill. Utilising their superior traction and impressive repertoire of (largely shoulder-based) attacks, Landfill is quickly able to overcome Megatron and Scourge, sending them into retreat once again.

With the threat of Megatron averted once again, the Autobots clear the air and apologise to each other over the flared tempers and misunderstandings caused by the malfunctioning warp tunnels. Optimus declares the incident a great teamwork exercise, and the reconciled Autobots use the recalibrated space bridge to head harmoniously for home.

"Well, that's one way to get in. I myself woulda used the door."

"Now, Scourge has the right idea! See what I mean? You gotta break down some walls, blow up some buildings, destroy these computers—"<br>
"Can't you clamp your voice-boxes?!"<br>

"OOH! Aww, no, he caught it, and that was the last out of the innings! And what is Rapid Run doing on the field anyway?"
:—Koji, always quick on the uptake.
Differences with Car Robots
Animation or technical errors
* When the Autobots are being flung out of the space bridge to random undesirable locations, the member of Team Bullet Train shown careering down a hill resembles Rapid Run, but speaks with Railspike's voice.
*When Heavy Load restrains Wedge, his chin is yellow instead of grey.
*After Prime shouts out "Battle Protocal" when he changes to his "Battle Mode" head is blue and not red.

Continuity errors
* The construction project on which the Build Team are seen completing work is described as an "Arctic link" tunnel. Presumably this is supposed to be the same tunnel that was being built in the previous episode, but that tunnel was located at the bottom of the sea, whereas the Build Team here are seen hauling dirt in the middle of the city.
* Koji's fellow spectators at the baseball game seem to change dramatically in appearance from shot to shot.
* After sabotaging the space bridge, Scourge announces the Decepticons should move out, but later on we cut back to Scourge and Mega-Octane still in the terminal bunker.

Trivia
* This was one of three Robots in Disguise episodes, along with "Attack from Outer Space" and "Sky-Byte Saves the Day", that never aired in the U.S. due to post-9/11 sensitivity over its scenes of urban destruction.
* Sky-Byte and the Predacon Trio are absent from this episode, marking the first time in the series that their unique services have not been called upon. Maybe Megatron is finally learning his lesson... or not.
* Just for variation, Optimus announces "Battle Protocol" when he goes into super mode the second time.
The plot change astounds!

Synopsis
After recalibrating his spark energy in the Decepticons to turn them into loyal servants, Galvatron puts Sky-Byte in command of the next mission—and in command of the now-loyal Decepticons.

So Sky-Byte goes out to find Koji, and first meets Koji's friend Jenny, who gives him instructions to Koji's house. Not long after, he spots Koji himself running along, and "hides" by the side of the path so that the boy runs past. Sky-Byte begins tailing Koji, in hopes that the boy will eventually lead him to the Autobot base. Of course, he does, and Sky-Byte tells Galvatron that the base is somewhere inside a parking structure.

Down in the Autobot base, Side Burn is giving Cerebros a speech, telling him that he's an Autobot and needs to help protect Earth. Suddenly, Cerebros activates and explains how he and Fortress Maximus function—while Cerebros is programmed to obey Autobots, Maximus will only obey humans. X-Brawn promptly points out the flaws in the system, right before the Decepticons attack the parking structure.

The Autobots have planned for this eventuality, and T-AI contacts all of the Autobots out in the field, sending them to a specific location. Optimus carries Cerebros as bait, leading the Decepticons and Predacons to that same location via a different route. Sky-Byte thinks he's cornered Optimus, but the Autobot leader suggests he look behind him—the Predacon does and realises that Optimus has led him into a trap and all of the Autobots have been waiting for him.

There's a lake nearby, where nobody seems to notice the huge alien watercraft that is Galvatron just floating there amidst the swan paddle boats. That's also where our dear friend Kelly is. She sees a couple of Autobots and tries to ignore them by paddling away.

After Sky-Byte figures out he's trapped, Galvatron pops out from hiding and announces his master plan to control Fortress Maximus. Then the Megastar appears out of the sky and fires a barrage of missiles onto the Autobots. The Predacon trio promptly hide behind some rocks, wondering aloud where Sky-Byte has disappeared to, and then notice him cowering in the same hiding spot they've chosen.

Ultra Magnus shows up, and he and Optimus form Omega Prime. Landfill forms and tries to make the first blow, but gets blown apart. Despite this, Omega Prime still calls Wedge "Landfill", but nobody seems to notice or care. Rail Racer tries to shoot the command center in the tailpipe, but gets blown back by more missiles. Then Wedge tries to attack the center all by himself, giving an impassioned speech about how he has the spark of an Autobot, but gets blown back by another barrage of rockets. But his courage is not wasted, as it activates Fortress Maximus.

Galvatron transforms into hand mode, and links up with the Megastars right arm. The two titans exchange blows while the Autobots dispense with Scourge and Ruination. Finally Maximus unleashes a full barrage of firepower, and the Megastar crashes into the lake, breaking apart as it goes. Galvatron himself falls clear of the explosion and hits the ground. And there is much rejoicing. But not for long, because Galvatron begins to twitch...
:—Optimus on how the title of the episode was somewhat misleading.

Slapper: Where's Sky-Byte? He's our commander now! He's supposed to be protecting us.<br>

Notes
Differences with Car Robots
Animation and/or technical glitches
* After Galvatron recalibrates the Decepticons, the animation of Rollbar, Armorhide, Movor and Ro-Tor's transformation is clearly lifted wholesale from "The Decepticons", which means that the military base is still in the background.
* Similarly, the footage of the Spychangers avoiding the Megastars lasers against an inaccurately darkened sky is lifted directly from "Volcano", right down to W.A.R.S. falling from the sky into shot; tossed through the air by a missile explosion in this episode, tossed by Scourge in the earlier one.
* On three occasions, Omega Prime calls Wedge "Landfill".
* The Megastar screams in Galvatron's voice as it sinks into the lake... AFTER Galvatron has been severed from it.

Continuity errors
* It's somewhat unclear when exactly the Autobots acquired Cerebros, given that he was last seen flying into the air after detaching from Fortress Maximus at the end of "Mistaken Identity", but the first we see of him is stood inside the Autobot base, with the Predacons fully aware of his location.
* The Commandos are seen merging to form Ruination in order to attack Autobot headquarters, but are already back in their individual forms when Optimus Prime emerges from the base.

Real-world references
* When Sky-Byte and the Predacons are pursuing Optimus downtown, one of the buildings they pass by at blink-and-you'll-miss-it speed is that of Dongwoo Animation Co. Ltd, one of the production companies behind Car Robots/Robots in Disguise. In fact, they actually seem to pass the building three times in the same shot, due to the obviously looped scrolling background. That's right; the company made an animation error whilst trying to animate a tribute to themselves. "Ironic" barely seems to cover it...

Transformers references
* Galvatron states his original reason for coming to Earth was that the Predacon Council had ordered him to search for Fortress Maximus. This would mean that, despite announcing himself as "Megatron, the ruler of many worlds" in the first episode, he's a general working for other rulers instead of a Supreme Commander of Predacon forces. (The Council are a reference to the Tripredacus Council and was a dub creation.)
* Cerebros announces he must initiate "Headmaster protocol", before displaying what appears to be a Headmaster-style Tech spec bar graph.

Miscellaneous trivia
* Sky-Byte's reputation among humans has devolved to the point where small girls happily go up to "Mister Sky-Byte" and chat with him. This irks him.
* Skid-Z and Tow-Line, after lengthy absences from the series, are finally given a chance to return to the front line, where they do absolutely nothing; neither is mentioned at all during the fight, and they are only seen in group shots.
* Speaking of dead weight, Build Team take approximately 18 seconds to run through their stock combining animation to form Landfill, whereupon they are blasted apart after only 5 seconds. Good job, guys!
* Despite Cerebros outlining the boundaries of his programming, later in the episode both he and Fortress Maximus act of their own volition; perhaps this is not an error but simply Maximus transcending his programming.
