The '''Geddis brothers''' are a pair of [[New York]]-based gangsters who conspired with [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] and the [[Decepticon]]s to hire low-level criminals throughout the city (including [[Raoul]]) to steal cars for them. When Raoul failed to deliver a car as promised on schedule, they found him in an alley and roughed him up, until Tracks arrived to save his human friend. The Geddis fled and eluded Tracks in the tangle of Manhattan traffic.

When they had accumulated 500 cars, they delivered them to a secret base in the [[Pine Barrens]] of [[New Jersey]]. The Decepticons had promised them a million dollars for their work, but the "million bucks" ended up coming out of the business end of Megatron's [[fusion cannon]]. The Geddis fled into the woods and were not seen again.

The Decepticons converted the stolen cars into drones for a massive attack on New York.{{storylink|Make Tracks}}

==Detailed synopsis==
In [[New York City]], two thugs carjack a familiar looking car, which also has a stereo sitting in the front seat. Heading to a chop shop, the punks try to sell the car...at which point the car turns into [[Tracks]], and the stereo turns into [[Blaster]]. The chop shop head, [[Winston]], tries to run, when [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] arrives. Winston vainly tries to shoot Optimus as the actual police arrive and arrest him.

The [[Autobot]]s are helping the NYPD in a crime busting program, but their [[Great War|never ending war]] is also on Prime's mind. The [[Prime (rank)|Autobot leader]] is convinced that the [[Decepticon]]s are nearby, plotting mischief, as they are prone to do, but the Autobots just can't find them. Heading back to [[Sparkplug Witwicky]]'s garage, Tracks is enjoying the city so he decides to go for a drive, while [[Powerglide]], [[Cosmos]], [[Seaspray]], [[Huffer]] and [[Hoist (G1)|Hoist]] go out on patrol.

Tracks has a run-in with some more punks and scares them off, but one of the punks shoots a tire out, causing Tracks to crash. Unable to [[Transformation|transform]] or call the garage, he is found by young [[Raoul]], who drags him to an alley and plans to sell him to the [[Geddis brothers]]. Once he learns that Tracks is alive, he decides to fix him up, but he's still planning on selling him. Raoul accidentally cuts a wire that connects Tracks' computer to his body and silences the Autobot, but reconnects it. (That's one important wire.)

On patrol, Seaspray is disgusted with what the humans have dumped in the East River (aren't we all). Cosmos swoops down to inspect an accident, which Huffer and Hoist help clear up. They update Prime, who is getting worried about Tracks.

Back at the alley, Raoul is done, and is having second thoughts about selling Tracks. The Geddis brothers arrive and start to rough up Raoul, only for Tracks to transform and "ask" them to stop. The Ghettis brothers flee, mentioning how shocked they are that a Transformer is attacking them. Tracks and Raoul follow, with Tracks realizing that they think he's a Decepticon. They lose the Geddis brothers, but Raoul knows their main garage is down by the wharf. Heading there, Tracks and Raoul follow the legion of stolen cars.

Above them, Powerglide spots [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]], and follows him. Powerglide and Cosmos chase the [[Air Commander]] into a human mall, only for Starscream to threaten the civilians and escape. Prime calculates that Starscream is heading for the [[Pine Barrens]] in [[New Jersey]], and the Autobots roll out.

Somewhere in the Pine Barrens, the Geddis brothers are working with the Decepticons to provide them with 500 stolen cars. The Geddis brothers demand their million dollar payment. [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] shows them the business end of the [[fusion cannon]], and one of the brothers fires off a few shots at Megatron. A single blast from Megatron sends the Geddis brothers running. Tracks tries to contact Prime, but his radio is still damaged, so he decides to get up close and personal, seeing what Megatron intends. When he discovers that the [[Constructicon (G1)|Constructicon]]s are intending to dismantle the cars, Tracks attempts to flee, only for the wire connecting his computer to sever. Tracks is placed on the conveyor belt with the other cars ready for demolition.

Realizing Tracks is in danger, Raoul reveals himself to the Decepticons and says he placed a bomb in his car. Megatron allows him to disarm it, but instead Raoul reconnects the wire that reactivates Tracks and the pair bail. [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]] sends [[Rumble (G1)|Rumble]] and [[Ravage]] to hunt and kill, and Tracks is running out of power. He tells Raoul to run, but [[Sideswipe (G1)|Sideswipe]], [[Jazz (G1)|Jazz]] and [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]] arrive and drive the two [[Mini Cassette|cassette]]s off.

Back at the garage, Tracks and Raoul fill the Autobots in on what's happening, only then the Autobots discover first-hand that the rebuilt cars are heading into New York. Prime, Blaster, and [[Ratchet (G1)|Ratchet]] defend the Washington Bridge, as Tracks, Bumblebee, [[Inferno (G1)|Inferno]], and Sideswipe defend the Chrysler Building, while [[Ironhide (G1)|Ironhide]], Huffer, and [[Windcharger]] defend another part.

Ratchet realizes that the drones are being remotely controlled, and that the Jersey base is the source. Blaster jams the control frequency, allowing the Autobots time to break off to attack the Decepticon base. Raoul tries to take a crow bar to the controls of the car drone factory. However, Megatron captures Raoul, and orders the Autobots to surrender. Raoul opens a panel on Megatron's chest, and uses a spray paint can to short circuit the Decepticon leader. Rumble orders a retreat back to the [[Decepticon space cruiser|base]] before Starscream can declare himself the new leader. The Autobots destroy the factory, causing the drone army to shut down.

At Sparkplug's garage, the poor fleshling predicts that it will take weeks to restore the cars to their original configuration, even with Ratchet, Hoist, and [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]]'s help. Raoul takes that as his cue to leave, only for Tracks to "volunteer" Raoul for repair duty.

* The [[New York City]] of this episode, while still a cartoon, is a lot more grimy and grungy than [[City of Steel|the last time we saw it]] (some might say more true to life.) It's got stolen cars, gangs, punks, a river full of garbage, traffic jams, and an overall darkness that fits with the 1980s perception of the city.
*In two different scenes (basically using the same background), a movie theater can be shown advertising ''[[The Transformers: The Movie]]''.
*All the advanced technology at the Constructicons' disposal, technical know how to build transforming drones...and [[Scrapper (G1)|Scrapper]] is using a ''sword'' to slice the cars in half?

==Synopsis==
An enraged Arcee has been tearing a path of destruction through the universe, necessitating Ultra Magnus to hunt her down and bring her in as authorized by the [[Tyrest Accord]]. After a protracted battle, she gets knocked out by a flash/concussion grenade and taken into custody by Magnus. As they leave the area, a couple of apparent [[drone]]s surface and talk to a monitor {{m-}} promising that the [[Nega-Core]] has not been detected and/or taken, which elicits a confirmation from their [[Jhiaxus|red-helmeted, gold-shouldered master]] that preparations for the Expansion will continue.

[[Garrus-9]] penitentiary: Arcee's [[spark]] is being held in a cell, along with some notable others. Apparent warden Fortress Maximus confers with Jetfire and the Technobots about when they can incarcerate the Monstructor components in the same way; Jetfire notes that they can't break through the destructive programming far enough to rehabilitate/reform the sparks (as per [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]]'s orders), and as such, haven't pulled the sparks from the frames. As they confer, the [[Decepticon]] Onslaught leads his Combaticons in a perfectly-timed (as monitored by Banzaitron) assault on the facility, striking at precisely the right grid-sensor-shuffling moment and breaking into the penitentiary.

Fortress Maximus has no choice but to unleash the "threat-level-9" Arcee on them, with the sole caveat of destroying her spark (via a spark casing g-force crush) if she attempts to escape. A furious battle ensues, but after she cuts through Blast Off and plows through Brawl in vehicle mode, the [[Combaticon]]s (who recognized her when she first attacked) manage to teleport out with the unconscious Monstructor 'cons (whom Banzaitron wants to join his Secret Service).

Arcee proposes that she be released to hunt them down or killed on the spot. When asked for '''her''' motivation she grows angry, commenting that "you don't even know you're DOING it...you unconsciously SENSE a difference." She then reveals that [[Jhiaxus]] tampered with her [[CNA]] at creation, turning her into a female, "because he was curious, because he '''could'''," just to see what introducing gender to the Transformer race would do. He then discarded her and left her to her fate. Traumatized and vengeful, all she can think of is wiping out all trace of his tampering in this universe.

Maximus disagrees, pointing the remote spark-casing-control unit at her, but Jetfire tells him to let her go (he'll back up whatever story Maximus concocts for her escape), as they have precious little to lose at this point.

== Trivia ==
* Arcee states that she was the first female Transformer experiment and it is implied she is something rare and (perhaps) unique. However nothing in the issue states that she was the ''only'' female Transformer created due to Jhiaxus's program. Indeed, in ''[[Megatron: Origin]]'' a number of female Transformers make cameo appearances. It may be that Arcee isn't completely alone and that her trauma stems more from being used, altered (perhaps against her will), and abandoned than anything else.
