She's calm and confident, but also adventurous and brave, with a healthy supply of dry humor. Her aerial skill in either mode, incredibly sharp eyesight and steady aim make her a dangerous opponent.

Due to the circumstances of her "birth," she sees [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]] as something of a father-figure and [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]] as the sibling she never had. She devotes most of her efforts, however, to taming the wild yet gentle [[Tigatron]]. She shares his love for the beautiful planet on which the Maximals are stranded, and it is on this planet where their destiny will be forever intertwined.

The Predacons who stole the [[Golden Disk]] were pursued by [[Unit 2]], who was granted clerance from [[Maximal Defense Command]] to commandeer transport. The Maximal who would become Airazor was boarding her ship, the ''[[Chromia 10]]'', when Unit 2 approached and demanded use of it. "Airazor" at first refused, but suggested she was open to ... persuasion. The call of adventure captured her interest, and instead of handing over the ''Chromia 10'' to Unit 2, she allowed him to hitch a ride, piloting it herself.

The ''Chromia 10'' intercepted the Predacons' ship, the ''[[Darksyde]]'', which was engaged in battle with the ''[[Axalon]]'' and guarded by a mysterious third ship. During the ensuing firefight, the ''Chromia 10'' was badly damaged. [[Optimus Primal]] had their [[Spark]]s remotely uploaded to blank protoforms in the [[Axalon (BW)|Axalon]]'s cargohold, which saved their lives, but severely damaged their core mainframes. {{storylink|Dawn of Future's Past}}

Her [[stasis pod]] damaged upon crashing to [[Earth]], Airazor was able to come online due to the genius of [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]] and the bravery of [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]]. Rhinox deftly operated the stasis pod's controls and Cheetor offered up his own components to repair it. Immediately out of the pod, she outmaneuvered and destroyed [[Terrorsaur (BW)|Terrorsaur]]; her aerial beast mode, at the time, made her the only Maximal other than [[Optimus Primal|Optimus]] who could fly. {{storylink|The Spark}}

She and Tigatron started to team up more frequently, a prospect Airazor seemed to welcome, but Tigatron preferred to work alone. Their first big adventure together came when a flying island paradise was discovered. The island, however, was covered in boobytraps which were triggered by the use of energy weapons. Airazor rescued Tigatron when he was ambushed by Predacons on the island, but she was damaged badly. Tigatron carried her on his back, refusing to leave her behind. The island was ultimately destroyed, much to the sadness and outrage of Tigatron, and he would have secluded himself from the other Maximals further if not for Airazor's concern. {{storylink|The Trigger, Part 2}}

Soon after, the Predacons beat Tigatron to another stasis pod, reprogramming it and unleashing [[Inferno (BW)|Inferno]]. Once again, Airazor tried to work with Tigatron, but, once again, he insisted that he works alone. Airazor commented that sometimes you can be too alone. She was right, because then Tigatron got shot up a lot. Nearing death, Tigatron was saved by the arrival of Airazor and Optimus Primal. {{storylink|Spider's Game}}

After the realization that the aliens who seeded their planet with traps and energon were returning to destroy it, the Maximals and Predacons entered a truce. Optimus Primal used Airrazor to try to sneak [[Rattrap]] into the Predacon base to find out what [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] was up to, but Megatron, of course, found them on his scanners and politely asked them to leave. Unbeknownst to Megatron, the ploy was a decoy for Tigatron's infiltration. The aliens arrived and a new alien structure was built, trapping Airrazor, who was tortured. Optimus Primal forced his way inside, with the help of the Predacons, and traded himself to the aliens for Airazor. After Primal was scanned and briefed by the aliens, they transformed the planet's artificial second moon into a [[Planet Buster]], which fired upon the planet, slwoly igniting the unstable energon.

After the destruction of the [[Vok]]'s Planet Buster, Airazor and Tigatron left together to find the rest of the missing stasis pods scattered across the planet. While on their search, the two Maximals discovered not only a remarkably beautiful valley, but a strange plant. As the two looked into each other's eyes and held hands in quiet celebration, the plant transformed into another [[Vok]] device, and as they clasped hands, declaring their love to exist beyond the throes of death, the two were absorbed and shot into space. Cheetor arrived, but was too late, loudly protesting the loss of two of his best friends. {{storylink|Other Visits, Part 1}}

Airazor and Tigatron were kept in a form of stasis until near the end of the Beast Wars, when they were merged together in the powerful being [[Tigerhawk]]. Tigerhawk returned to Earth as the emissary of the Vok to stop the deteriation that the Beast Wars was causing to the timestream, his first act being to destroy the [[Darksyde]], sending the Predacons scrambling. [[Tarantulas]] managed to capture Tigerhawk and removed the Vok's influence from his frame (and absorbed it into himself), letting Airazor and Tigatron's [[spark]]s inhabit Tigerhawk's body. Though the Beast Wars were over, the threat to the timestream was not. [[Tarantulas]], presumed destroyed, existed in a new, undead form that was fueled by his new Vok powers. The remaining Vok assembled warriors to end this threat, creating [[Primal Prime]] and giving new [[Transmetal]] bodies to the extant Sparks of Airrazor and Tigatron.

After awakening a stranded stasis pod containing [[Ramulus]], opening a second pod triggered an ambush by [[Spittor]], [[Iguanus (BW)|Iguanus]], [[Razorclaw (BW)|Razorclaw]], and a reborn Transmetal 2 [[Ravage]]. Airazor immediately saved Tigatron's life, knocking Spittor aside before Tigatron would have unwittingly come in contact with Spittor's body, covered entirely in [[cyber-venom]]. This maneuver left her vulnerable to Ravage's gunfire, knocking her out of the air.

The battle ended catastrophically, and Ramulus, Airazor, and Tigatron were forced to carry a critically-wounded Primal Prime back to the [[Ark]] after Tarantulas ripped the [[Matrix of Leadership]] from his chest. As Airazor and Tigatron conferred with the seemingly absent Vok, Airazor experienced great pains due to her battle wounds. Toward the end of the manga, Airazor's [[spark]] became seperated from her body, with her body becoming host to a malevolent force. The evil Airazor did battle with [[Tigatron]], who did not want to fight the robot he loved. With no other option, Tigatron gave the evil Airazor one of his katana and knelt down. As the evil Airazor struck him with the sword, the '''real''' Airazor's spark entered Tigatron's body. In cyber space, the two embraced and vowed never to be apart again. Tigatron was born in the far frozen north, at first heavily damaged in his memory circuts and unable to remember friend from foe. In his beast mode, he patiently watched the Predacon and Maximal forces duke it out. When Megatron threatened the white tigers, and Optimus Primal conceded the fight, Tigatron knew his alliance.

He and [[Cheetor]] held a strong sibling friendship. While Cheetor was youthful and eager, Tigatron was confident and wise. Cheetor called him "Big Cat" frequently.

Before Airazor, Tigatron had an organic tiger friend named [[Snowstalker]], who may or may not have been the basis for his altmode. Some fans have speculated that the pair were [[Robot-fleshling romance|more than friends]], as the [[human|dumb stubbies]] say. Sadly, Snowstalker became one of the war's casualties, putting Tigatron in a funk for a short while, until he realized that doing nothing only meant more innocents would die.

After his revival, Tigatron became a background player, sending updates to the [[Axalon]] through communication towers. [[Optimus Primal]] became worried about [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]]'s plans when he initiated a truce, so he ordered a covert ops. [[Rattrap]] and [[Airazor]] made enough of a distraction to allow Tigatron inside the [[Darksyde]].

Inside, he tampered with the ship's computer systems and found out what got Megatron so worried - The [[Vok]] were coming back, and they weren't happy.

Tigatron and Airazor formed a very powerful relationship during this time. They both felt a strong connection to the prehistoric [[Earth]], and they frequently spent their time outside of the Maximal base in their beast forms instead. Unfortunately, they were abducted by the alien plant, long before Cheetor could ever arrive. The two were not seen again until much later, when the awesomely powerful [[Vok]] emissary [[Tigerhawk]] arrived.

When Optimus Primal objected, saying that with all these soldiers, Megatron could be defeated easily, the Oracle swept him away and cleansed his memory of the recent events. Tigatron vehemently objected to this treatment of his former commander. A set of coordinates was infused into Primal Prime's head by the Oracle. When arriving at an Autobot shuttle, which was to ferry the Wreckers to those coordinates, Tigatron felt that something was amiss. It was then that the Vehicon generals [[Spy Streak]], [[Scavenger_(BM)|Scavenger]], [[Quake]] and [[Blastcharge (BM)|Blastcharge]] attacked. Tigatron used his Nature's Fury attack, utterly destroying Quake. During the ride in the Autobot shuttle, Tigatron meditated, recovering from the battle. Upon arrived at their destination, he once again sensed that danger awaited the Wreckers...

In the Beast Wars Metals manga, Tigatron was interpretted as a samurai warrior and given a character re-design to reflect that angle. At one point, he is forced to do battle with the [[spark|spark]]-less body of his beloved [[Airazor (BW)|Airazor]]. Not wishing to harm her, he willingly let the evil Airazor take the opportunity to decapitate him.

Just as evil Airazor began to strike, the spark of the real Airazor entered his body. In cyberspace, the two embrace eacher other and vow never to be apart again. Their sparks then merge, resulting in the all-powerful [[Tigerhawk]].

Concerned with [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron's]] constant futzing with the timestream, the Vok merged the bodies of the Maximals [[Tigatron]] and [[Airazor (BW)|Airazor]] together to form the staggeringly powerful Tigerhawk while leaving out the Sparks.

Tigerhawk is easily one of the most powerful Transformers shown in the Beast Wars era. Their experiments were irreperably wrecked as a result of the [[Beast Wars]]. The Vok decided to cut their losses by revealing the nature of the second moon: An immense cannon designed to destroy the planet! [[Optimus Primal (BW)|Optimus Primal]] sacrificed himself in order to destroy the [[Planet Buster]].

As a result of the Planet Buster's explosion, a [[Quantum surge]] was released. The surge caused a mutation in several of the Transformers (notably, [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]], [[Rattrap (BW)|Rattrap]], [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]] and [[Tarantulas (BW)|Tarantulas]]) turning them into [[Transmetal]]s. The destruction of the Planet Buster also released a [[Transwarp wave]] that traveled through space and time, and eventually got back to [[Cybertron]]

Later in the series, the Vok made several other attempts to wipe out the Transformers, notably a second weapon which appeared on the planet (sometimes referred to as the Metal Hunter), and the abduction of the [[Maximal]]s [[Airazor (BW)|Airazor]] and [[Tigatron (BW)|Tigatron]].

Near the end of the Beast Wars, the Vok sent an emissary, [[Tigerhawk (BW)|Tigerhawk]] (a newly created fusion of Airazor and Tigatron), to Earth to deal with Megatron's disruption of the timestream. Tigerhawk was able to destroy the [[Darkside|Predacon base]], but was eventually subdued and captured by Tarantulas. Tarantulas was able to draw the Vok out of Tigerhawk's frame and into his own, but this lead to his own destruction...

In the course of writing the ''Beast Wars'' television show, the co-story editors had conflicting ideas on who the Vok were. [[Bob Forward]] liked to imagine the Vok as super-evolved humans who had outgrown the need for bodies. [[Larry DiTillio]] wanted to link the Vok to The Swarm, who, in his version of the events of the Generation Two comic book, had completely wiped out humanity and wished to atone for their crimes. Neither origin made it into the television show before it completed.

Ultimately, the Vok origin was published as backstory for OTFCC's Primeval Dawn storyline.
