Live-action film series
Optimus Prime took his trailer with him on a investigative mission to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. When Shockwave and his Driller attacked, the trailer transformed into a weapons bay from which Prime retrieved an Energon Sword and a shield.

Optimus later took the trailer with him for the Autobots' staged exile from Earth, and then to the city of Chicago, which had been fortified by the Decepticons. As they rolled into the city, the Driller attacked once more, separating Prime from the trailer. Eventually, he was able to reach it, and equipped himself with the jetpack and large weapons stored inside. Dark of the Moon (film)
Optimus Prime took his trailer with him on the assault of the Decepticon base in Siberia. When he eventually found Megatron, Prime used the trailer to smash his opponent. The trailer then transformed into a weapons bay, from which Optimus retrieved a chainsaw, a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher, and four Energon Armor Field Generators. After the Field Generators were destroyed, this equipment then transformed into a flight pack. Dark of the Moon (Xbox 360/PS3)
Several Mech Tech ports are available on the trailer, and the removable missile launcher has handles for it to be held by smaller Cyberverse figures as well as a 5mm post for it to attach to larger figures. The Battle Base pictures and instructions oddly do not match.
Generation 1
* Wheeljack (1984, 1991)
**Japanese ID number: 03
**Accessories: 2 shoulder cannons, 4 rockets, 2 wings

: The original Wheeljack toy, released as part of the 1984 series of Autobots, was based on a Diaclone Lancia Stratos Turbo. The deco is based on a specific racing version, the "Group 5" Stratos, with sponsor decals by Italian airline Alitalia, which were changed to "Alitalla" for the toy (presumably to avoid licensing problems... yeah, it apparently did work like that back in the day). He comes with two rocket launchers that can fire four projectiles and two clear wings. In robot mode, the rocket launchers and the wings mount onto his shoulder and back respectively. The bar his launchers clip to is a 3mm bar, making this the earliest example of the 3mm C joint system in Transformers. For some reason, Wheeljack's lower arms/hands cannot lock into his upper arms, leaving them hanging at an angle.

: In 1986, he was made available as a mail-away item (as he was no longer shipping to retail shelves) in multiple offers, including Digital Doom on the Highway to Destruction fliers packed with most boxed Transformers toys. He cost $8 and two Robot Points.

: Unfortunately for many collectors, Wheeljack's mold has been damaged or destroyed, meaning his chances of future reissue look bleak. The closest version of the figure to currency is the European Classics reissue.

: Wheeljack's back-mounted wings can be left attached in vehicle mode, making them easier to keep track of. They can also be used in conjunction with the fold-down doors to give Wheeljack a flight mode.

: A retooled and redecoed version of the Diaclone toy was the basis for the obscure Decepticon "Marlboor Wheeljack".
**Accessories: 2 missiles

: Action Master Wheeljack is a non-transforming action figure sculpted based upon his cartoon appearances. He comes with the Turbo Racer, a large red sports car based upon the Ferrari Testarossa that can seat two Action Master figures. The Turbo Racer has an "attack mode" where it transforms into something vaguely resembling an aircraft made from car parts.

: The Wheeljack figure was later redecoed to make Slicer.

:Generations Wheeljack is a retool of Transformers Turbo Tracks, featuring a new head, wings, clip-on wrenches, new vehicle mode front fenders and rear spoiler, and a modified transformation sequence (with reassembly in his legs) so as to present a robot mode reminiscent of the original Wheeljack toy. He retains Tracks's gun, which in reality was Wheeljack's own rocket launcher, and as such, clips onto his shoulder. He also has a flight mode similar to Tracks's, though with the clip-on weapons attached over the wings instead of on the rear of the vehicle. With the new retool of his legs, the black inner parts under the car mode hood feature 3mm bars where you can store Wheeljack's wrenches when not being held.

: Though Wheeljack's toy is heavily retooled, his instructions do not reflect this. They depict Wheeljack with his proper head, but most of the rest of the art depicts Tracks's parts, including Tracks's leg transformation. Do not attempt to extend Wheeljack's legs as far as the instruction art shows, because that's some excessive force that's not meant to be applied. The instructions also show the wrenches mounting on the shoulders as weapons, with the shoulder launcher as a hand-held weapon. The wrenches themselves also have 3mm bars on them, in case Wheeljack should try to make some sort of new gadget. Ratchet sold separately.

:Part of the United toyline, TakaraTomy's version of Wheeljack features some subtle differences from the Generations version. He now sports silver painted ears, metallic green paint and medium red paint for his stripes, which follow a different pattern, and continue down the back of the car. He no longer has a painted rear window (instead leaving it white with the stripe detailing), features different tail light applications, a silver outlined Autobot symbol (rather than one without a border), painted clear blue eyes, and a more blue-green plastic instead of the slightly brighter green of the Hasbro version.
:United Wheeljack was released before Generations Wheeljack was released to retail stores, but not to online retailers. Wheeljack's United instructions show the proper transformation. His instructions also leave out the flying car mode, likely due to it being intended originally for Tracks and not Wheeljack.
:Also made by HG Toys, Zipper Clip Wheeljack is a scaled-down version of Stamp Bot Wheeljack, minus the rubber stamp base. Molded onto his head was a small hole, through which a metal clip was looped, allowing the figurine to attach to the end of a zipper.
*Cybertron Hero Collection 22 (Decoy multi-pack, 1985)
: This small red rubber figurine of Wheeljack was released in Japan as part of a large multi-pack of similar figures, which were used as playing pieces for Transformers board games. The figure features a number etched into its back which is the sum total of Wheeljack's Tech Spec ratings, which served some function in the gameplay the figures were used for.
: The Wheeljack figurine was later brought over to Hasbro markets as part of the Decoy promotion, largely identical to the Japanese release except for the fact that the number on his back was replaced with a simple "checklist" number (22, in Wheeljack's case). Like all Autobot Decoys, he was a randomly-chosen pack-in available with the carded Throttlebots, Aerialbots, Protectobots and Technobots.
Additionally, the pewter version of Wheeljack came packaged with the right "boot" piece needed to transform the wave's Star Saber figure into Victory Saber.
: Wheeljack's Super Collection Figure PVC was released the following year by Hasbro as part of their Heroes of Cybertron line. Like all the figures in the series, Wheeljack was given a light-piping gimmick by being cast entirely in translucent blue plastic then painted everywhere except on his eyes and the back of his head. Unlike the Japanese version, he was sold separate on a blister card and came packaged with the right arm of the Fortress Maximus "build-a-figure".

Notes
* An early concept design of the Diaclone version of Generation 1 Wheeljack was depicted in a catalog from late 1982/early 1983, depicting a considerably better proportioned robot mode with longer legs.
* Wheeljack was given an homage in the form of Energon Downshift. Downshift has Wheeljack's colors, face, and even feet modeled after the Lancia grill. The character was even called Wheeljack in Japan's Super Link series, something Hasbro could not do because the name had already been used on a character from the previous series. Downshift was later redecoed as the 2010 exclusive Timelines Slicer/"Decepticon Slice", representing the same character as the European-only Generation 1 Action Master Slicer, a redeco of Wheeljack's Action Master toy (while simultaneously representing another Wheeljack).
* Energon Downshift also received a new-sculpt toy in the Cybertron line, which looked considerably less like Generation 1 Wheeljack save for the head sculpt... and the feet, which are sculpted after Wheeljack's distinct Lancia Stratos grill feet. Now that's a weird homage.
* The retool of Alternators Grimlock was originally planned to be Windcharger (presumably in red), but ultimately ended up as Wheeljack instead, with a new head sculpt. Meanwhile, the head sculpt originally intended for Ford-Windcharger ended up being used for the retool of Alternators "Windcharger" (the Honda S2000 mold, designed as Overdrive and released under that name by Takara) instead, and now named "Decepticharge".
* Generations Wheeljack was the original version of the sculpt, with Tracks (whose toy ended up in Reveal the Shield) intended as the retool, but the two were ultimately released in reverse order (and different toy lines).
Unlike Lockdown, he prefers to lure his Autobot prey to him by imperiling civilians, rather than seek them out himself. Some have noted his resemblance to his old mentor, and suggest that he had himself rebuilt in Lockdown's image. He also has a new axe weapon on his right arm instead of Lockdown's hook. Axor transforms into an amalgam of a 1980s Corvette and a 1960s Cougar, with lots of spikes and a cow-catcher on his bumper. * Hints of Axor's toy release were found as early as Lockdown's release. Even earlier than that, Axor's then-unknown head design was shown alongside the first published concept art of ROTF Lockdown in the 2009 SDCC Hasbro Design Sketchbook Volume 2.
* The Speed Stars Decepticon Axel was said to be Axor during a 2010 toy showcase. The reason for the change is unknown, since Axel is also a white and blue redeco of Lockdown.
Fiction
Cartoon continuity
Armada cartoon
Grindor was among the earliest Mini-Cons created from Unicron's cells. He was present in the distant past when the time-traveling Earth children made contact with High Wire, and awakened the Mini-Cons' capacity for independent thought. Drift (episode)

Millions of years later, Grindor, along with Sureshock, was discovered inside the crashed Mini-Con ship on Earth by High Wire and his human friends. He was activated when Carlos Lopez made contact with his storage panel, apparently creating a link between the two. Despite this, he was initially rather unresponsive to Carlos, but they soon formed a friendship after Grindor scanned Carlos's skateboard as his new alt mode. The kids and Street Action Team were having a wild time playing together when Megatron and the Decepticons appeared to capture them. Luckily, Optimus Prime and the Autobots stepped in to protect the smaller robots. Metamorphosis

At school, Carlos pretended Grindor was an old school thrash board from the 80's when Billy and Fred questioned them about their new vehicles. Back at the Autobot base inside the Mini-Con ship, Grindor and the other Mini-Cons agreed to help the Autobots find the Mini-Cons and keep them out of Decepticon slavery and control. Base

On their first Mini-Con hunt, Grindor and the Street Action Team worked with Optimus Prime in Big Canyon, surveying the area for any signs of storage panels. When the Decepticons arrived to intervene, the Street Action Team displayed their ability to combine for the first time, forming Perceptor. The agile Mini-Con gestalt miraculously overwhelmed both Megatron and Starscream until Optimus Prime could powerlinx with his new partner, Sparkplug, and unleash a Maximum Blast. Comrade

Grindor and the Street Action Team joined the kids in teaching Hot Shot how to play the game of "Tag" inside the Autobot base. Hot Shot was worn out trying to chase them down until he thought to use Jolt to "tag" the kids for him. Grindor and the other Mini-Cons later accompanied the Autobots to Antarctica to search for a new Mini-Con. They used Prime's trailer as a mobile headquarters from which they coordinated the search. Soldier (episode) Later, Grindor helped Rad and the kids bring supplies up to the Autobot base. He and the other Mini-Cons then joined the Autobots on a mission to the forest, where a firefight with the Decepticons led to a forest fire. Working with Red Alert, the Mini-Cons converted Optimus Prime's trailer into a fire engine, pumping water from a nearby lake to put out the fires. Jungle

One day, High Wire and Grindor went out to a carnival with Rad and Carlos. Hijinx ensued. Carnival Out on a desert mission, Grindor was trying to get the drop on Demolishor when he and the rest of the kids and Street Action Team were caught in a sandtrap. They fell into a deep series of catacombs, built by denizens of the Sahara long ago after they discovered a Mini-Con storage panel in the sand. Grindor and the others were nearly killed by the various traps and guards protecting the panel underground, and the Mini-Con team had to form Perceptor to protect the kids from harm. Palace

When Billy and Fred were kidnapped by Cyclonus, Grindor and his friends attempted to rescue them, only to be captured themselves by Megatron. They were saved once Fred used Laserbeak to zap Megatron and distract him long enough for the Autobots to save the day. Confrontation (episode) As the search for more Mini-Cons continued, Grindor and the Street Action Team participated in a mission deep underground in a city's subway tunnels. Underground They also confronted Megatron in a sunken underwater city, but the Decepticons succeeded in capturing the dormant Mini-Cons on both occasions. Ruin

As Rad began to learn more about the Mini-Cons, he started to question whether they should be forced to fight in a war not of their making. Almost as if in answer to his concerns, Grindor and the other Mini-Cons took up arms in the next conflict, showing valor and courage on the battlefield that made it clear they were fighting for what they believed in, just like the Autobots and the kids. Prehistory

Grindor and the Street Action Team were present for the Autobots' first encounter with Sideways. Gale Sometime later, Grindor and High Wire went camping with Red Alert, Smokescreen and the boys. Vacation When Blurr rescued Incinerator from the Decepticons' clutches, Grindor and the Street Action Team were the first Mini-Cons to welcome him to the Autobot base. Reinforcement Later, Grindor's team and Jolt helped create a miniature obstacle course from Hot Shot and Blurr to train on. Decisive Battle

Soon after, Grindor and the Street Action Team received a transmission from the Land Military Team on the moon. It seemed that some of the Decepticon-allied Mini-Cons wanted peace, and were seeking an opportunity to come over to the Autobots. With the help of Rad and Fred, they convinced Optimus Prime to give the "enemy" Mini-Cons a chance, and soon the Autobots had a number of new allies. Vow

When a computer virus named Sideways infiltrated the Autobot mainframe, High Wire, Grindor and Sureshock helped the kids fight back against the infection. Sideways still had a few tricks up his sleeve, however, and he converted the minds of the Street Action Team and the kids into computerized avatars, sucking them into his digital world. In this unreal landscape, they passed by representations of Cybertron and other figures, before being chased by a shadowy planetoid back into the real world along a path Red Alert made for them. Chase (episode)

After the Autobots rescued Dune Runner's Mini-Con panel, Grindor and the Street Action Team were the first to welcome him to the Autobot headquarters. Tactician On monitor duty, the Street Action Team ID'ed Thrust flying in circles over the Autobot base, and reported it to Vice-Commander Jetfire while Optimus was in repairs. The kids had to translate for Jetfire, though, and he'd never bothered to learn his Mini-Con bleeps from his bloops. Linkup

Grindor and Sureshock joined the kids in the cheering section as Jetfire beat Smokescreen in arm-wrestling three out of three times. Detection When a Mini-Con signal went off linking the three Space Mini-Con Team panels, Grindor and the others reacted when the signal pointed to a panel hidden right inside their own base. They joined the kids in searching out the panel in the damaged sections of the ship. The search party came across Sky Blast's panel, activating the Mini-Con. To everyone's surprise, however, Sky Blast appeared openly hostile. Awakening It soon became apparent, though, that Sky Blast was merely frightened. He cowered behind Rad when Grindor and the others formed Perceptor to protect the kids. They eventually coaxed him back out into the main part of the base, and convinced the new Mini-Con to assist the Autobots. Desperate

Grindor was present when Starscream first switched sides to join the Autobots. Regeneration During the subsequent raid on the Decepticon base, Grindor and the Street Action Team accompanied the Autobots as Perceptor, and focused on freeing the Mini-Cons while the Autobots engaged the enemy. Perceptor briefly split into his three components when avoiding an attack by Tidal Wave. Rescue

After Starscream and Jetfire rescued Firebot from Mars, Grindor was among the Mini-Cons who welcomed the new arrival to the Autobots. Mars (episode)

As the Decepticons threatened the safety of Earth with their Hydra Cannon, Grindor and the Street Action Team watched helplessly with the kids as the Autobots tried to counter the threat. Crisis

Grindor and the Mini-Cons all chose to willingly follow the Autobots into space aboard the Axalon, fighting alongside them against the Decepticons. When Hot Shot attempted to leave the kids behind, however, the Street Action Team formed Perceptor and organized a mutiny of the Mini-Con troops. They passively took over the bridge and made it clear by speaking in English for the first time that the humans were coming along...or else. Depart

The Axalon made its way into space, and soon joined by other Mini-Cons empowered by the Linkage. Grindor and the Street Action Team telepathically explained to the kids that the Mini-Cons were all coming together to fight the great enemy...Unicron. As they encountered the Decepticon ship, Grindor helped organized the Mini-Cons on-board to man the armaments and fight back against Megatron's troops. Miracle

Once they arrived in orbit around Cybertron, Grindor immediately sensed Unicron's presence. The Mini-Cons all quickly gathered together in space, forming a shield against a deadly black hole Sideways had formed as a "surprise" for the Autobots. When the Autobots confronted Galvatron's Decepticon armada, the Mini-Cons assembled once more, creating illusions to disguise the Axalon amidst a horde of duplicate ships. As the power of the black hole became stronger and stronger, the Mini-Cons unified in a green ball of energy, neutralizing the threat with a rain of light. Grindor and the Mini-Cons implored Galvatron and the others to stop fighting, but only succeeded in getting a temporary cessation of hostilities. Uprising

After Thrust stole the Skyboom Shield and Requiem Blaster for Unicron, High Wire recognized the place where Hot Shot was searching for the traitor, and so the kids and the Street Action Team made their way underground to join the search party. Drift (episode) This led to a fight with Thrust and Sideways inside the core of Unicron, who stood revealed as Cybertron's moon. Portent Later, Grindor and the others watch on helplessly as Unicron grew more powerful, and Starscream sacrificed himself to bring an alliance between the Autobots and Decepticons. Cramp As the truce was forged between the two factions, Grindor and the Street Action Team attended as representatives of the Mini-Cons. They formed Perceptor and joined hands with Optimus Prime and Galvatron to commemorate the occasion. Alliance

With the united Transformer armada bringing the fight to Unicron, the war council reached the conclusion that Unicron needed the three super-weapons to power himself. Their best course of action therefore was to penetrate Unicron's defenses and awaken the nine individual Mini-Cons that comprised the weapons, separating their will from Unicron. Although Prime and Galvatron infiltrated Unicron to achieve that purpose, High Wire, Grindor and Sureshock determined they would need to be present in order to push the Mini-Cons back to consciousness. The Street Action Team and the kids made their way into Unicron using the hidden warp tunnel below Cybertron's surface. Union

In Unicron's heart, Grindor and the others found Optimus and Galvatron facing off against Sideways. Shockingly, Unicron was able to reassert control over the Mini-Cons, placing them back under his personal domination. Their enslavement was only temporary, however, as the kids were able to reach out to Grindor and the others, awakening them so that they could awaken the Mini-Cons of the Star Saber, Skyboom Shield and Requiem Blaster in turn, causing Unicron to grind to a halt. Origin As Optimus Prime and Galvatron remained inside Unicron to settle the final score between them, Grindor and the assorted kids and Mini-Cons escaped aboard Jetfire. After the final destruction of Unicron and Galvatron, the Street Action Team accompanied Hot Shot and Jetfire back to Earth, where they said their final goodbyes to the children. Mortal Combat
Alongside High Wire, Sureshock and Sparkplug, Grindor lay dormant near present-day Lincoln for a million years after the crash of the Mini-Con escape vessel. One day, Rad White stumbled upon their wrecked piece of the ship and reactivated them along with all other Mini-Cons on Earth. After repairing themselves, Grindor and the others quickly befriended Rad and his buddies, Carlos and Alexis, and even built them a hovercraft. Dreamwave Armada issue 3 Unfortunately, not even a day passed before the Decepticons tracked the Mini-Cons to Earth, and they had to explain to their human friends that they were involved in a war. The Street Action Team scanned new alternate modes and escaped to a canyon, where they ran into a team of Autobots. Dreamwave Armada issue 4 Grindor and his friends were briefly captured by Demolishor, but eventually the Mini-Cons and Autobots joined forces and chased the Decepticons off. Dreamwave Armada issue 5

Later, the Street Action Team was present when Sparkplug tried to convince Optimus Prime to let him infiltrate the Decepticon base. Dreamwave Armada issue 6 After rescuing Rad from a bully, Grindor and the others were driving around with their friends when the Mini-Con Ark's beacon struck. The Street Action Team stopped responding and started driving mindlessly towards the Ark with their passengers still on them. After all the Mini-Cons on Earth were gathered around the Ark, they entered it, and it took off into space. Dreamwave Armada issue 8 Grindor and the other Mini-Cons were taken to the Moon, where another group of Mini-Cons led by Dualor had constructed a fortress where they could live in peace forever. This saddened Grindor, High Wire and Sureshock, who would rather live on Earth with their human friends. Dreamwave Armada issue 9 Fortunately for them, the moonbase had to be evacuated following a Decepticon attack. Dreamwave Armada issue 11

After returning to Earth, Grindor listened to one of Rook's pro-Mini-Con independence speeches. Fire & Ice He wasn't seen again until the Autobots learned that Unicron was targeting Cybertron, at which point all Mini-Cons gathered in order to fight him. After saying their goodbyes to Rad, Carlos and Alexis, the Street Action Team returned to their home planet and joined the other Mini-Cons in pouring their energies into the Mini-Con Matrix. This allowed Over-Run to fire a massive energy blast at Unicron, crippling him. The End
Ten years later, Grindor, High Wire and Sureshock learned that the Terrorcons were attacking Earth cities. Worried about their old human friends, they volunteered to travel to Earth and fight this new threat in the form of Perceptor. Multiplicity, Pt. 2 They were assigned to Jetfire's team in Los Angeles, which they defended against a huge swarm of Insecticons. Multiplicity, Pt. 3 Overwhelmed by the number of Terrorcons, Perceptor and the rest of the team quickly began to run low on energy, but they were saved when Rad showed up in the E.V.A. and sprayed them with Energon gas. Multiplicity, Pt. 4

Back when Cybertron was peaceful, Grindor enjoyed entertaining his friends with extraordinary feats, such as lifting heavy metal boxes. Panini Armada issue 3

After escaping from Cybertron, Grindor and several other Mini-Cons crashed on Earth, where they woke up four million years later. First Encounter! While they initially refused to get involved with the Autobot-Decepticon war again, the Mini-Cons changed their minds after witnessing Rad White's displaying great amounts of courage in order to save Optimus Prime. Grindor raced into battle and fired on Megatron to little effect, but the distraction allowed Optimus Prime to summon Autobot reinforcements. Panini Armada issue 2 After spending some time as Carlos's racing vehicle, Grindor and his friends on the Street Action Team were sent to recover a locator log from the wrecked Mini-Con ship. When they found it, they were suddenly attacked by Demolishor, who trapped Grindor under some debris. He offered his blaster to Rad, urging him to destroy the locator log before the Decepticon got it, but Rad thought of a plan to take out both the log and Demolishor. Panini Armada issue 3

The Street Action Team subsequently began watching their human friends from the shadows in order to learn how to fit in on Earth. As he witnessed Carlos trying to impress his friends with skating tricks, Grindor helped out by using his rocket-powered skateboard mode to let Carlos loop, grind and even fly. Unfortunately, Carlos was not pleased with his "help", as he now had to explain those crazy moves to his friends. Panini Armada issue 3 Some time later, the Autobots tried to send Grindor and the other the Mini-Cons back to Cybertron to keep them safe, but the plans fell through. Panini Armada issue 4 The Street Action Team went back to playing around with their human friends, but were suddenly targeted for capture by Starscream. While the humans went to get help, Grindor combined with his teammates into Perceptor and did battle with the Decepticon. They were nearly defeated by their enemy, who was wielding Star Saber, but Optimus Prime arrived to save the day. Panini Armada issue 7

When the Decepticons planned to wipe the Autobots out with missiles fired from the Moon, the Mini-Cons offered to surrender themselves in order to buy their friends some time. The Decepticons happily accepted, and Grindor and the others were stuffed aboard a solar barge. Panini Armada issue 8 As Cyclonus pulled the barge towards the Moon, the Mini-Cons promptly broke out, beat him up, and returned to Earth. Panini Armada issue 8
When a spark splits into two separate sparks, the resulting two Cybertronians are considered twins, with an incredibly close bond. The inseparable pair spends more time fighting with each other than paying attention to anything going on around them. Still, they can hold their own in a fight, and they are eager to show Optimus Prime just how skilled they are. ===Revenge of the Fallen film===
After NEST was deployed to Shanghai, the Twins were the first to be deployed, patrolling the streets and taunting any hiding Decepticons to come out and "suck their popsicle". When Sideways tried to make a break for it, the Twins cut him off, forcing him to turn a corner toward a dead end...and jump through an apartment building. While Arcee's components jumped through the hole he had made, the Twins decided to go around the building. However, the turn was too fast, and Mudflap lost control. Although he took full blame for screwing that up, Skids still punched him out. It's combat, what's wrong with him?!

After returning to Diego Garcia, it was decided the Twins would take separate alternate modes, and a green Beat and red Trax were provided. Both Twins were impressed, and Mudflap announced he would be taking the green. Skids disagreed, and a minor scuffle followed, as Skids called the green.

When multiple Decepticon contacts were detected on the East Coast of the United States, the Autobots immediately went to counter them without NEST. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee went to rescue Sam Witwicky, Mikaela Banes, and Leo Spitz from Megatron, Starscream, and Grindor. While Optimus took Sam to the nearby Pine Barrens, Bumblebee rejoined the rest of the Autobots and headed to reinforce Optimus. Unfortunately, by the time they got there, Megatron had already killed Prime, and the Twins served as escort when Bumblebee took the three teens to hide in an abandoned prison.

As Leo Spitz started to have a freak out over what was happening, Skids wondered what they would do with the "shrimp taco". Mudflap suggested they simply pop a cap in him, toss him in the trunk, and forget about him. Skids, however, didn't want Leo in his trunk. Leo told the two "bumper cars" that there would be no killing. An unimpressed Skids told him to get a haircut and whine to his boyfriend. That evening, Sam asked the Twins if they could read the symbols he was seeing. They identified them as old school Cybertronian. Unfortunately, the Twins couldn't read the symbols, and weren't that much into reading anyway. When Leo came back, the Twins still poked fun at him, with Mudflap saying his panic attack was because he was a pussy. Leo however, knew of someone who might be able to help them, and the Twins accompanied Bumblebee and the group to New York City, where the source turned out to be Seymour Simmons, former agent of Sector Seven, who in turn led them to Jetfire at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Jetfire in turn teleported the group to Egypt (an experience the Twins had no desire to repeat anytime soon), and told them of The Fallen, the Star Harvester he sought, and how the Dynasty of Primes hid the Matrix of Leadership needed to activate somewhere on Earth.

As Sam continued on his quest to find the Matrix, in the hopes that it could somehow revive Optimus, the Twins continued their supporting roles. As they tried to evade some police, the Twins transformed to robot mode and hid in between some buildings. Skids described it as "blending in with the landscape, like a ninja", and Mudflap told him to shut up. As they made their way to Giza, Skids continued his attempts to blend in, only to run right into Bumblebee.

Sam worked out the next clue, and the group made their way to Petra. The ruins there appeared to be a dead end, and as Sam insisted that it wasn't over yet, Mudflap openly questioned why they were still following him, as he had done nothing for them. When Skids reminded his brother that Sam had killed Megatron, Mudflap countered that he hadn't gotten the job done. As the argument grew heated, Mudflap called Skids ugly, and a brawl followed, with the Twins damaging the ruins and nearly crushing the humans in the cramped quarters. At this point, Bumblebee decided to intervene and stop the brawl...by picking the Twins up, bashing them together, and throwing them out of the ruins. However, their fight had unintended consequences, as the damage revealed the Tomb of the Primes.

[[Image:ROTF Mudflap shoots Skids.jpg|thumb|right|250px| "Nobody messes with the Twins!"
"Yeah! We mess with each other instead!"]]
As the group made their way to where NEST had landed with Optimus Prime's body, Starscream began strafing their position, forcing the Twins to take Simmons and Leo away as distractions. Heading toward a quarry near the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Twins witnessed Megatron order the Decepticons to begin their assault, as the Constructicons arrived in the quarry to form Devastator. The Twins were initially unimpressed with the giant, until he started using his Vortex Grinder to begin pulling everything inside his mouth. And the Twins grabbed on for dear life, Mudflap lost his grip and was swallowed by Devastator. As Skids mourned his brother's presumed death, Simmons said that the only safe place was under Devastator. As the trio made their way under, Mudflap fought his way out of Devastator's face and began firing on the combiner. Skids climbed up Devastator's left paw and fired a grapple for Mudflap to grab onto. Just as the Twins grabbed hold of each other, Mudflap accidentally fired his cannon right into Skids' face, knocking the two off. Fortunately, they managed to land under Devastator with the two humans. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (film)

*The Twins' final alternate modes in the film, the Chevrolet Beat (Skids) and Chevrolet Trax (Mudflap), were designed by General Motors as small car concept vehicles. At one point in the film's pre-production, another small car, the Mercedes-Benz Smart, was evidently considered as an option for a film character; concept art of a "third twin" based on it appears in various sections of the Revenge DVD special features, always in close proximity to concept art of Skids and Mudflap. Whether it was meant to be a third character related to Skids and Mudflap or if it was supposed to be used in place of one of them is unknown. What is known is that Hasbro has had great difficultly in the past trying to get likeness licenses from German automakers, which is probably why the vehicle/character was dropped.

*The toymakers seem to be a bit confused about the roles of The Twins in their final battle; it's Mudflap who blasts his way through Devastator's mouth and Skids who uses a grappling hook to haul his twin out of it, but this is reversed in the Fast Action Battler and Human Alliance toys, which give Skids the large arm-cannon and Mudflap the grapple. The Deluxe class toys get it right, though.
