Overcast was one of [[Stockade (Movie)|Stockade's]] "new Decepticons", a group of Decepticons who remained on the dying Cybertron out of patriotism and survived by feeding on [[Nucleon]]. {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 17|Return to Cybertron: Part 1}} In order to rebirth their world, they tried to summon a replacement for the AllSpark: an ethereal entity related to the last AllSpark, one which could replace it. He was part of the crew that helped it enter Cybertron, and thus one of the first to learn ''they'd summoned [[Unicron]] into their planet''. {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 18|Return to Cybertron: Part 2}}

As the planet turned against them, Overcast was nearly killed and had to be saved by Stockade. When Stockade made a deal with the Autobots and arrived to defend Earth, Overcast was part of his air support. He played the vital role of identifying a fulcrum drone to [[Fracture (Movie)|Fracture]], ensuring the [[Drone|drones]] were turned. {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 24|Revolution Part 2}} The New Decepticons quickly began to win, and in the penultimate battle Overcast was tasked with tidying things up (i.e. killing beaten enemies). He also wanted to know if they were ''really'' going to take the [[Decepticon Heartland]] and then just give Earth back-with Stockade hinting they might not...

It all became academic when they entered the Heartland to find ''[[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]] back from the dead''. Overcast ordered everyone into defensive formation before the battle was on. Luckily, the Autobots turned up to do their part of the deal, teleporting Megatron's crew to the dead Cybertron; ''un''luckily, they had noticed the New Decepticons thinking about seizing Earth and teleported them too, leaving Overcast trapped there FOREVER. {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 25|Revolution Part 3}}

Thousands of years ago on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], Wheeljack was one of [[Sentinel Prime (ROTF)|Sentinel Prime]]'s followers. He was a crucial figure in the culmination of Sentinel Prime's plan to save the dying planet: While Sentinel's other pupils held off an attack by the heretic [[Thetacon (tribe)|Thetacons]], Wheeljack's technical skills went to work creating a device that, once linked to the AllSpark, warped time and space, teleporting a sun into Cybertronian space. The sun's energy revitalized the [[AllSpark]], bringing life and energy back to Cybertron, and Wheeljack calmly remarked that, wouldn't you know it, it seemed they'd only gone and saved the world. {{storylink|Foundation issue 1|Foundation #1}} Soon after, Wheeljack stood by Sentinel Prime's side when he addressed the collective populace of the planet on [[Unification Day]], announcing the new direction for the revitalized Cybertron. Elita-One soon arrived with the active torch, at which point Sentinel ordered a reluctant Wheeljack to take the first [[Ark (Movie)|Ark]] and collected the other Autobots from their base in [[Tyger Pax]], while Sentinel himself took the torch and went to pick up Optimus's team aboard his own [[Ark (DOTM)|Ark]]. Consequently, Sentinel's Ark and all aboard were apparently destroyed by the Decepticons upon arrival. Furious at the death of his mentor, Optimus Prime enacted a new plan: while he kept Megatron busy, Wheeljack took the rest of the Autobots and attacked Simfur again, overwhelming the weakened Decepticons there and capturing the AllSpark. Que, disguised as a blue Mercedes-Benz E550, posed as an escort to the prime minister’s vehicle to cross the [[Iran]]ian border. Once there, he, Bumblebee, Sideswipe and Dino investigated and destroyed an illegal nuclear facility.

At NEST’s new base of operations in Washington, D.C., Que provided weapons-specialist Ironhide with a weapons upgrade, supplying him with two powerful rifles. When National Intelligence Director [[Charlotte Mearing]] arrived, he politely introduced himself and informed them about Optimus Prime’s upset mood. He stood in the background with his fellow Autobots and observed Optimus berate the government officials for keeping the wreckage of the ''[[Ark (DOTM)|Ark]]'' a secret from the Autobots.

When the Autobots were exiled from Earth by the government, Que boarded the ''[[Xantium (DOTM)|Xantium]]'' alongside his fellow Autobots. However, after launch, [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]] attacked the ''Xantium'' from space and it exploded.

Secretly, the Autobots had suspected treachery, and hid inside one of their shuttle's fuel pods which had detached shortly before Starscream's attack. Que arrived alongside his comrades as a member of Optimus Prime’s strike team into the midst of the Decepticon-occupied [[Chicago]]. Que provided the humans with several new anti-Decepticon weapons that he had constructed that, as he put it, “kick ass.” Later on, when several Autobots were overwhelmed and captured, he was taken hostage alongside Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Dino and Ratchet. At [[Dylan Gould]]'s prodding, [[Soundwave (ROTF)|Soundwave]] decided to make trophies of the prisoners, starting with Que. Despite Que’s pleas for mercy, he was fatally shot by Soundwave before being swiftly finished off by [[Barricade (Movie)|Barricade]]. Wheeljack aided his Autobot comrades from behind the scenes, arming them with newer, more potent weaponry almost as soon as he was done building them. He had NEST forces deliver one of these new weapons to Ironhide as the latter was battling the Decepticons in Detroit. The gun Wheeljack sent him enabled Ironhide to destroy Mixmaster's shields, leaving the Decepticon vulnerable.

Soundwave later infiltrated an old Sector Seven base that was evidently used as a workshop by Wheeljack to develop new MechTech weapons. Unfortunately, Soundwave managed to destroy the base and the MechTech with it, while what few weapons were already en route to Optimus Prime were intercepted by Starscream.

While tending her backyard garden several years later, Judy lamented Ron's less-than-professional job at laying paving tiles for their garden path. When Sam left for a party, she had the chance to observe Sam's [[Bumblebee (Movie)|new car]] in action. Upon seeing it emit a large cloud of black smoke, she paused for a moment, then told Ron that he was cheap. Ron maintained that since it was Sam's first car, it was supposed to do that. It's unlikely she believed that.

On the day that Sam's car chased him around town, she was enjoying an evening of television and a little drinking with her husband when Sam came home three minutes past his curfew. Judy felt that he should be grounded for this, but Ron—that pushover—let him off the hook. While the Autobots milled around in her back yard (and crushed her flowers and new water fountain), Sam and [[Mikaela Banes]] snuck into Sam's room to look for [[Archibald Witwicky]]'s [[glasses]]. Just a few minutes later, [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]] accidentally stumbled into the house's power lines, cutting the block's electricity, and fell down. Ron thought it was an earthquake and took cover under the dining room table. Amazed and still sitting on the couch, Judy looked over to him and asked, "How'd you get over there so fast?"

Just a moment later, they headed upstairs to Sam's room, from where noises and lights were originating. She begged Sam to open his locked door before Ron started counting. Just before Ron reached zero, Sam opened up. Judy asked him why he was all grimy and sweaty. He was acting strangely. She asked—not judgmentally, just trying to get to the bottom of things—if he'd been masturbating. She seemed to be the only person not embarrassed by this, and had a few suggestions as to what the act could be called if her son was uncomfortable referring to it as masturbation. Eventually, Mikaela—who had been hiding—stood up to try to explain things. Judy was delighted to realize that Sam had been hiding a girl in his room. She complimented Mikaela and apologized for making her sit through their "family discussion". Mikaela told Sam she thought his mother was very nice.

Sam and Mikaela then went down to get his backpack from the kitchen, but they were interrupted when [[Sector Seven|government agents]] swarmed the house, stepping all over her flower beds, and started asking questions. Judy bravely stood up to the men, threatening to beat the crap out of them for touching her plants and to kick their asses if they hurt Mojo, but eventually the whole family was carted off.

Much later, after the [[Decepticon]]s were defeated, Judy and Ron were interviewed for a newscast of some sort. They pish-poshed the idea that aliens had been tromping around the area, and expressed their faith that the government would let us know about that sort of thing if it were going on. Two years after the "incident" in Mission City, Sam had graduated high school and received a scholarship to [[Princeton]]. Being the overprotective mother she was, Judy was having a hard time letting Sam go, especially after she found his baby booties. Hugging him tightly, she insisted that Sam come home for every holiday, not just [[Christmas]], but little ones like [[Halloween]] and President's Day. Upon learning the university didn't give those days off, she announced that they would go and visit him. Ron finally intervened and told Judy to go get packed for their trip to [[France]]. As she was bringing her things out, Judy asked if Ron knew it would be this hard. His less than sympathetic response made Judy switch from depressive to manic, and she said she didn't want to go on vacation with him, walking back into the house... at which point [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] began shooting up the backyard at [[appliancebot|her kitchen]]. Running out in a panic, Judy scooped up Mojo and [[Frankie]] and ran out to the front yard. As Mikaela showed up, Judy angrily informed Sam that the minute he left, Bumblebee was gone, as she couldn't live with a psychotic alien in her house. Ron reminded Judy to remain quiet in front of the firefighters, reminding her that the government would pay for the damage if they kept quiet, and to consider it the start of their remodeling. Judy announced that if they were remodeling, she was getting both a pool ''and'' a hot tub, and going skinny dipping, and Ron couldn't complain about it.

After a cross country plane ride, the Witwicky family arrived at Princeton. Judy's previous fears of leaving Sam faded as she entered the campus, saying she could feel smarter already, just from the smell. Ron moaned that it smelled like forty thousand dollars a year. As Sam settled with his nice young roommate [[Leo Spitz]], Judy purchased a brownie laced with a special ingredient, leaving her high on life (and cannabis). She nearly blew the family's big secret with the [[Autobot]]s until Ron was able to drag his stoned wife to the car.

As Sam slowly went insane from [[AllSpark]] knowledge in his head and [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]] gave his life defending Sam from [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]], Judy and Ron were enjoying lunch at a cafe in [[Paris]], with Judy eager to try new things. She started off with some escargot, which was not a good choice in her mind. Her phone then rang, and as Judy answered, [[Soundwave (ROTF)|some pervert]] began a heavy breathing act and asking about Sam. Disgusted, Judy told the pervert that she would report him to the French foreign legion and hung up. Suddenly, two [[Transition form|meteor]]s struck Paris, once of them hitting a bell tower near their cafe. As Ron and Judy fled for cover, a [[Decepticon]] arrived and grabbed them.

Taken to [[Egypt]], Ron and Judy were held inside [[Rampage (ROTF)|a bulldozer]] and were guarded by [[Ravage (ROTF)|an evil cat]]. They were released by [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]] to lure Sam into a trap. However, Ron and Judy told Sam to just run and hide, as the Decepticons would kill them anyway. However, Sam was distracting the Decepticons so Bumblebee could jump in and take them out. Although nearly crushed in the brawl, the Witwickys survived, and Sam ordered Bumblebee to take them away from the battle. Conversely, they managed to make their way to a safe area when Sam was killed by Megatron, with both parents panicking over his body. However, [[Dynasty of Primes|something]] revived Sam, and he used [[Matrix of Leadership|some dagger]] to revive Optimus Prime, who then defeated [[The Fallen]]. They decided to pay Sam a visit while he was looking for a job in Washington, D.C. Upon learning that his son did not yet get a job, Ron was very upset, commenting that sucked.

Later, Sam asked for the whereabouts of his girlfriend, [[Carly Spencer]] after a Decepticon attack on Washington, D.C. Judy admonished Sam for getting into an argument with her and causing her to leave, and Ron promptly gave an example of the devotion their son was supposed to give. This inspired Sam to go to Chicago to rescue Carly, and asked Ron and Judy to leave Washington, D.C. for their safety.
