{{Template:Disambig3|Jetstorm}}

:''Jetstorm is a [[Vehicon]] from the [[Beast Machines]] portion of the [[Generation 1]] [[continuity family]].''

[[Image:JetstormBMfull.jpg|300px|thumb|right|Air superiority complex.]]

Arrogant and cocky with the skills to back up all his big talk, '''Jetstorm''' leads [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron's]] [[Sonic Attack Jet|aero-drones]] in his bid to remove the last vestiges of resistance on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. He is distinguished from the other drones as having a more purple colour scheme and yellow markings on his body. The only thing Jetstorm likes more than cracking wise is cracking heads. He takes great pleasure in tormenting the [[Maximal]]s and lets them know at every opportunity how much better than them he is. He has a nasty temper that is barely hidden behind a thin veneer of cool indifference, and it really doesn't take much to set him off. Like that [[Blackarachnia (BW)|Blackarachnia]] chick, what's she staring at?

Despite his smarm, bravado and temper, Jetstorm knows when to cut his losses and run for it. He may have a whole load of personality flaws (and a load of aero-drones to back him up), but he's not stupid. Despite early rivalries, he has also developed a camaraderie with [[Thrust (BM)|Thrust]], even though the idea of being friends with anyone initially came as something of a shock.

Jetstorm is in actuality a programmed shell personality given life by the [[spark]] of the Maximal [[Silverbolt (Fuzor)|Silverbolt]].

His [[Command Code]] is "afterburn."

{{quote|Get it through your CPU! That program has been deleted. I'm Jetstorm now. ''PERIOD!''|Jetstorm getting sick of Blackarachnia's attempts to appeal to Silverbolt|"[[Savage Noble]]"}}

==Fiction==
===Animated continuity===
====''Beast Machines''====
:''Voice actor:'' [[Brian Drummond]], [[Scott McNeil]] (as [[Silverbolt (Fuzor)|Silverbolt]]) (US), [[Mitsuo Iwata]] (Japan)

Jetstorm came online alongside fellow generals [[Tankor]] and [[Thrust (BM)|Thrust]] fairly early on in the Beast Machines conflict, when [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] realized that controlling his vast armies of Vehicon drones directly was beyond even his mental capacities. In order to more efficiently control his forces, he created the Vehicon generals to serve as field commanders answering directly to him. In order to give these generals life, he used the sparks of two captured Maximals and one Predacon, hoping that Optimus Primal and his crew would be reluctant to fight their former comrades-in-arms. For Jetstorm, he used the spark of the [[Fuzor]] Silverbolt.

Although Silverbolt's former lover, Blackarachnia, initially believed that it was Thrust who possessed the spark of her beloved, she soon discovered the truth, and went to great lengths (some would say obsessively so) to reawaken the Maximal spark Jetstorm held within. And what did she get for her trouble? A samurai chicken with serious issues. Sucks to be her.

==Toys==
===Beast Machines===
*'''Jetstorm''' (Deluxe, 2000)

: Part of the first wave of ''Beast Machines'' Deluxes, Jetstorm transforms into a Cybertronic fighter jet. His jet-mode cockpit has a spring-loaded extension, giving him a bird-like head in this form that is articulated at the neck to "search" for targets. Both jet and robot modes feature spring-loaded "energy blast" missiles. He also has an alternate robot mode, which folds his legs into a "flight cone" and reveals jet thrusters.

: This mold has been [[redeco]]ed to make the [[Sonic Attack Jet]], ''[[Robots in Disguise (franchise)|Robots in Disguise]]'' [[Storm Jet (RID)|Storm Jet]] and [[Jhiaxus]], and ''[[Universe]]'' [[Skywarp (G1)|Skywarp]].

*'''Jetstorm''' (Ultra, 2000)

: Part of the first wave of Ultra-class ''Beast Machines'' toys, Jetstorm is also the first Ultra-class toy since the beginning of the "[[Beast Era]]" to feature electronics. He was also the ''largest'' Ultra-class toy yet. Like the Deluxe version, he transforms into a Cybertronic fighter jet, but in this incarnation the jet mode looks far more like the [[Mainframe Entertainment|Mainframe]] CGI model, even if the robot mode bears only a slightly stronger resemblance. His jet mode cockpit/neck is geared up with the pop-up gun turret on his back so that both turn in the same direction when moved. This turret has a light-up feature plus two spring-loaded missiles. Like the small toy, he has both a "normal" bipedal robot mode and a "flight robot mode" with pop-out thruster engines.

: This mold was redecoed into the [[BotCon 2002]] exclusive [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]].

*'''Jetstorm''' (Happy Meal, 2000)
: The McDonald's Happy Meal toy's robot mode was very close to the CGI model -- ''from the waist up''. Below the waist, the jet nose splits into two halves. Legs? Feet? Who knows?

*'''Jetstorm''' (Red Rooster Kids' Meal, 2000)
: The McDonald's Happy Meal Jetstorm was also released in Australia through the Red Rooster restaurant chain. Like the other three toys, it came in four colors: the original colors (with opaques replacing the transparents), red, green, and very light blue.

===Beast Wars Returns===
*'''Vehicon Jetstorm''' (Ultra, 2005)
A redeco of the U.S. market Ultra figure, released as part of the Toys R Us exclusive ''[[Beast Wars Returns]]'' line in Japan. It is one of the less drastic redecos of the line, and is fairly similar to the U.S. release, substituting most grey parts for a secondary shade of greyish blue, and replacing some of the yellow and all the gold highlights with both a silvery grey and more blue, most notably on his cheek plates. It gives the figure a darker, more sombre and overall ''blue'' appearance, in order to have greater [[show-accuracy]].

==Trivia==

[[Image:BMJetstorm-Concept.jpg|200px|thumb|right|[[Storm Jet (RID)|Jetstorm's summer wear.]]]]

* Jetstorm's pre-release name was '''Skybolt''', but that was deemed too close to "Silverbolt," so the name was changed to further obscure the identity of Jetstorm's spark.

* Early concept artwork showed Jetstorm as being red instead of blue.

* Jetstorm was prone to making pop culture references, including "[[Pokeformers|Gotta Catch 'em All]]!" (the slogan for the Pokémon franchise) and "swing batty-batty!" (a baseball pun intended to nark off [[Nightscream]]).

* In the [[Beast Machines (cartoon)|show]], Jetstorm has no feet and never walks. He only touches the ground when he is prone/disabled.
'''The Maximals have a second run-in with the Vehicon generals, and sense the presence of a familiar Spark.'''

==Summary==
Megatron rebukes his Vehicon generals for failing to destroy the Maximals, refusing to accept failure; he sends them forth with promises of rewards to whichever one captures the Maximals.

Optimus Primal contemplates the images of Rhinox and Silverbolt and vows to find them. His meditation is interrupted when he senses the presence of a Spark; the team goes out to find it. During the search, Rattrap beaks into a secure laboratory and discovers the transformation inhibitor virus which Megatron used... and a counter-virus as well, a transformation enhancer. Rattrap swipes the enhancer while Cheetor's back is turned.

While Thrust and Jetstorm squabble, Tankor manages to find the Maximals, who elude him by reverting to beast mode... until Rattrap shows up, able to transform at last thanks to the enhancer. This alerts Tankor, of course, who attacks the team. Rattrap finds he's unable to control his transformations, as he continually changes between robot and beast mode, including some odd intermediate forms as well.

Tankor manages to trap the Maximals under a metal dome. Thrust and Jetstorm arrive and fight Tankor for the right to bring in the captive Maximals; the distraction allows the Maximals escape from the dome, but an explosion knocks out all the Transformers present, leaving only the durable Tankor standing.

At the Citade, Megatron gloats to the captured Maximals, while Tankor demands his reward: "freedom" via the removal of his spark. Rattrap's continual transformations strain his bonds to the breaking point, freeing him; he quickly releases the others. During the ensuing fight, Megatron loses control and breaks free of his control harness; Primal talks directly to Tankor's Spark, compelling him to do what is right. After a moment of confusion, Tankor blasts open the door so the Maximals can escape, and leaves with them.

Restored to his harness, Megatron interfaces directly with Tankor's CPU, deleting the last 20 cycles of his memory. Thus Tankor suddenly attacks the Maximals again as they travel underground; Megatron blocks Primals attempts to speak to Tankor's Spark again. The Maximals trip up Tankor as he's preparing to fire; the cannon backblast sends him flying upwards through Cybertron's sublevels, only to crash back down to the surface atop a startled Thrust and Jetstorm.

Primal explains to the other Maximals that he sensed something familiar about Tankor's Spark... but then it was gone.
'''After their reformatting, the amnesiac Maximals come face to face with the source of their troubles.'''

==Summary==
Underground, where the Vehicons have failed to look, the four Maximals gather. Under the teachings of Optimus Primal, the team try to relearn their new [[transformation]]s. However, it is no longer simple command codes, but now requires emotional balance and deep concentration since their reformatting at the hands of the [[Vector Sigma#Beast Era|Oracle]]. [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]] and [[Blackarachnia (BW)|Blackarachnia]] manage to use their technorganic transformations properly, but [[Rattrap]] still has trouble with his new body. But their time in robot mode is limited, as a rumbling shakes the chamber and a [[Mole Drone]] attacks the Maximals. The shock has forced Cheetor and Blackarachnia back into their beast modes, and they take shelter behind Primal.

Optimus leaps in front of the frightened Maximals and deflects the blasts, all the while explaining that they reverted because they lost their emotional balance. Primal destroys the mindless Vehicon with a blast of energy, but knows it's time to leave, hopefully to find a new base and continue their transformation lessons. However, his idea is met with mild rebuff by Cheetor and Blackarachnia. They believe that they should seek out any survivors and reformat them, using them to destroy the drones. But Optimus overrules them, saying they need to get a handle on their new transformations before they go out looking for trouble. They split up to search out a new base. Blackarachnia and Cheetor are paired together (real smart pairing them up, ya big [[Trukk not munky|munky]]), and Rattrap and Primal go the opposite way.

Cheetor and Blackarachnia (with some goading on Blackarachnia's part) decide to go topside. As soon as they clamber up from the caves, they discover that they are in [[Cybertropolis]], the new capital of Cybertron after [[Iacon]]'s destruction. But there is a problem; Cybertropolis should be home to "ten million Transformers", but the duo find it deserted, and [[Cybertron InfoCore]] has been deleted.

Before the pair can investigate further, they are attacked by [[Aero Drone]]s, and plunge off the side of a building before they can slide to safety. As he runs, Cheetor attempts to transform, but he hasn't found his spiritual center yet and remains in cat mode. Blackarachnia traps two of the jets with her webs, but more arrive. Fortunately, Optimus arrives. He quickly transforms into robot mode and takes to the air, but is soon overwhelmed.

Cheetor and Blackarachnia manage to transform, and they quickly dispatch the drones, Blackarachnia using electrical "stinger" energy and Cheetor's scimitars. Optimus scolds Cheetor for disobeying orders, but is intruiged at their findings. Optimus orders the group to head to the [[Council Citadel]], hoping to find answers. Rattrap moves ahead of the rest of the group but encounters Tank Drones. Optimus orders Cheetor and Blackarachnia to hold off the drones while he investigates inside. When he gets inside, he heads to the chambers of the [[Maximal Elder]]s.

Reaching the council meeting room, Primal comes face to face with the leader of the drones—[[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]], now encased in a suit of control armor. He greets Primal cordially, and decides to "fill in" the gaps in Primal's memory. Megatron claims that he won the [[Beast Wars]], and that he decided to remodel Cybertron into his own image, one of technological purity, devoid of organic life. Thus, he explains, came the [[Vehicon (BM)|Vehicon]]s, [[spark]]less Transformers who will serve Megatron and crush Primal's "mongrel" Maximals.

However, the Maximals manage to survive the Vehicons, their technorganic bodies and Spark-powered ingenuity foiling the mindless might of the drones. Frustrated by the Maximals' survival, and with some goading by Primal, the enraged Megatron breaks free of his harness and transforms into his [[Transmetal 2]] [[alternate mode|beast mode]], deactivating the drones in the process. Primal and Megatron fight, but Megatron reconnects to his [[control harness]], and summons more Vehicons, mocking Primal all the while. The Maximals arrive, and barely manage to drag Primal away.

When the Maximals inquire about what happened, Primal tells them that this all happened because he failed to destroy Megatron. However, it is now up to Primal to correct that mistake.
'''Bulkhead befriends a pair of construction vehicles brought to life by AllSpark energy. But the Decepticons have their scanners set on the duo for their latest construction project. '''

==Summary==
The Autobots once again must aid in the restoration of the increasingly disaster-prone city of [[Detroit]]. There is an odd amount of balking, considering they're a [[space bridge]] repair crew, but Optimus Prime reminds them that a fair amount of the destruction is indeed their fault. These musings are cut short by Bumblebee spotting the ''other'' party to Detroit's deterioration, the Decepticons. Blitzwing and Lugnut are scurrying by in a most undignified manner, carrying construction supplies for Megatron. A combined effort by Bumblebee and Ratchet manages to knock the two Decepticons skidplate-over-processing unit, but they still manage to flee with a much smaller portion of the supplies. The Autobots are prevented from giving chase by the cracking of a bridge support, which they then repair. At the end of the day, the Autobots are ready to head home. Bulkhead tells Optimus Prime he'll catch up, to mask the fact that he's accidentally adhered his feet to the ground with cement.

[[Image:RiseoftheConstructicons-Gen2HomageVehicleModes.jpg|thumb|175px|left|Whoa! Some fanboys is sleepin' easy tonight.]]
Meanwhile, across town, two construction vehicles are seen with [[AllSpark (Animated)|AllSpark]] fragments embedded in them. The two fragments activate, and the machines gain sentience. After a brief debate over naming, they discover their new ability to turn into giant robots. This does not faze them in the slightest, and soon they chase off after a highly attractive sports car.

[[Image:Bulkhead Binoculars.jpg‎|thumb|175px|right|Now I can see the world in my finger]]
Thanks to the use of expired fixative, Bulkhead's attempts at mixing more cement prove explosive, knocking him out and nearly getting him skewered by iron girders. Thankfully, the newly minted Constructobots spot this and save his skidplate. They then help the lumbering Autobot to do the job ''right'' (making sure he doesn't leave the fixative lying around, either) and then take him off to a tanker for an oil break. Though Bulkhead is quite pleased with the oil he is served, he soon voices misgivings as to whether they ought to be doing this. Asked by the Constructobots whether he's going to act like a little yellow compact, he remembers his friends back at the base and invites his new acquaintances back to meet them.

[[Image:Rise Constructicons Sari no pigtails.jpg|thumb|left|175px|Relax, Sari, they'll have grown back by next week's episode.]]
At the base, the Autobots are not impressed with the crass pair. Loudly carousing to the point that even Ratchet thinks they're a bit rude, they soon wake up Sari. Wondering what all the commotion is, the poor girl gets her pigtails amputated by a game of smashed-oil-barrel frisbee. This is the last straw for Optimus Prime, who kicks the two paisanos out on their keisters.

The next day, Blitzwing and Lugnut are once again hauling heavy construction materials, this time Laurel and Hardy style up a steep hill. Blitzwing's footing slips, and he is nearly offlined by the heavy trailer that sends him careening towards a wall. Bracing for an impact that never comes, he is startled to find Mixmaster and Scrapper have saved him. Immediately, he asks them who and ''what'' they are. At first, the jovial pair answer that they are Autobots, but as this is met with some static, they quickly amend it to ''Constructobots''. Blitzwing sees an opportunity in the pair's brawn, and as police sirens approach, he convinces them to help haul the load. Lugnut objects, worried about Megatron's reaction. Blitzwing reassures, ''sotto voce'', that they will offline the two goombahs immediately after the work is done. Lugnut is all for this plan, and once the goods are delivered, he charges up his signature punch while Blitzwing distracts the pair. However, Megatron arrives and gives Lugnut an awful case of ''punchus interruptus''.

Megatron invites the Constructobots into the Decepticon inner sanctum, which they would find to be quite commodious if they knew the meaning of the word. Once there, they express how cute [[Isaac Sumdac|Megatron's pet]] is, and the interstellar warlord shows them the schematics he stole from the Autobots' ship for the building of a space bridge. His hunch turns out to be correct when he finds that the Constructobots display an intuitive knack for grasping construction projects, and they tell him that the supplies he's been gathering will be insufficient to the task. Megatron grins as they reveal to him that they know exactly what is needed and where to get it.

The following morning, Bulkhead goes looking for his wayward friends. He finds them, pursued by [[Sumdac Systems]] police robots after a daring heist of construction supplies. Stepping in and generally making a mess of the pursuers, he asks Mixmaster and Scrapper what they're up to. After being told that they stole these materials, he becomes irate because he thought they were so helpful before. They tell him they still are, they're just helping ''other'' bots. Becoming suspicious, Bulkhead presses them further and finds out they're working for Blitzwing and Lugnut. The large Autobot tries to convince them that the Decepticons are bad news, but is less than effective. The Constructobots think the Decepticons are just regular fellas and that Megatron is a laugh riot. Bulkhead grows still angrier, saying that Megatron is the worst of the bunch and was only tricking them. This finally clicks in their heads, and they drop what they're doing{{m-}}on Bulkhead{{m-}}and tear off down the road to take up their grievances with Megatron. Covered in girders, Bulkhead is unable to pursue.

[[Image:Rise Constructicons Megatron what.jpg|thumb|right|175px|I'm not a heartless mass murderer. I give all my victims their choice of execution method.]]
Upon discovering the Constructobots pounding on the steel door of the mine, Megatron is a bit less genial in tolerating their antics. Picking them up by their collars, he slams them against the mountainside and demands to know what they're doing. They explain that they want a piece of him because Bulkhead told them that Decepticons are the scum of the universe and that he'd tricked them. Megatron softens his demeanor and tells a tragic tale of Autobot oppression and the Decepticons being driven from their homeworld by these cruel tyrants. The Constructobots only understand about every third word of what he says, so he submits it would be a little easier to understand over a barrel of oil. Once inside, Mixmaster and Scrapper are quite impressed by the potency of the oil they're offered, which Megatron reveals to be his "special blend". Suitably placated, they listen to his pitch in which he stresses that as Constructobots, they can spend their lives fixing highway bridges, but as Constructi''cons'', they can build ''space bridges'' and be the heroes of millions of Cybertronians.

[[Image:RiseoftheConstructicons-Megatron%27sprivateblend.jpg|thumb|left|200px| So tell me, fellas, Orlando Bloom or Johnny Depp?]]

Back at the auto assembly plant, Bulkhead is relaying his latest encounter with the Constructobots to his fellow Autobots. This doesn't go over well, so he attempts to convince Optimus Prime that his friends were actually ''angry'' at the Decepticons and that there's nothing to worry about, as afterwards they can lead the Autobots to the Decepticon base. Ratchet, however, worries that they'll do the exact opposite. Right on cue, Scrapper and Mixmaster arrive. Bulkhead is initially hopeful, as they are still his friends. The two bots agree with him, but business is business, and Megatron has better oil. Thus they say that they won't fight anyone, so long as they can pick up the fragments of the AllSpark and be on their way. Optimus Prime objects, and the Constructicons announce that they're sick and tired of the little dipstick and knock him over. A fight ensues, in which the industrial chassis of the Constructicons prove fairly impervious to most of what the Autobots can dish out. Bumblebee is taken hostage and ransomed for the AllSpark fragments. Optimus attempts to stall, but Bulkhead hands them over. As all the Autobots look on in disbelief, he encourages his old friends to have "one for the road." They partake in the offered oil and depart.

The Autobots give chase, berating Bulkhead for trusting them. The large Autobot, however, states simply that the Constructicons aren't going ''anywhere''. His plan is revealed as Mixmaster and Scrapper start to slow down, emitting smoke and having increasing trouble running. Soon, there is an explosion, and the AllSpark fragments' container lands at Bulkhead's feet. He had tainted the oil with the expired chemicals from his earlier botched repair job. Bulkhead confronts his former friends, but the blast has scrambled their memory. Confused and frightened, they haul tail out of there. The not-so-gentle giant is disappointed, but Optimus reminds him that even if they've lost their memories, they still have a choice not to serve Megatron.
==Other notes==

===Animation errors===
[[Image:Bumblebeeanimatedconsigil.JPG|thumb| [[Goldbug (Shattered Glass)|Who's bad?]]]]
* When Ratchet tells Bumblebee to "vamoose" (around 1:30), Bumblebee has a red Decepticon insignia.
* When Bulkhead frees his foot from the cement, his jaw appears out of alignment, then realigns itself.
* When Bulkhead is jumping at the idea of Mix and Scrapper meeting the Autobots, Scrapper's left arm clips through his body, then the forearm briefly vanishes before his arm reappears in the correct place.
* While Blitzwing is shown pushing the heavy load of construction equipment from a side profile, the animation is missing a line that separates his inner thigh from his crotch.
* As Megatron explains the Autobots' "cunning" to Mixmaster and Scrapper, the white outline around his insignia is not complete (either that or it's part of a shadow).
* After the Constructicons flee, the road Bulkhead smashed up is in perfect condition.

===Transformers references===

*Megatron corrupting the Constructicons may also be a nod to the Generation 1 series, in which he did the same thing in "[[The Secret of Omega Supreme]]". Except, instead of using the [[Robo-Smasher]], this time he gets them [[Microbots|robo-smashed]]...

* The two surveyors on top of the bridge are decked out in blue jeans, white shirts, tan jackets and yellow hard hats and boots, just like a disproportionate amount of humans from the [[Generation 1 (cartoon)|Generation 1 cartoon]].

* A construction crane which appears in a few scenes early in the episode is colored in the traditional Constructicon green-and-purple. Purple and green excavation vehicles were previously seen in "[[Nature Calls]]", and yet the ''Animated'' Constructicons themselves are yellow and grey, which ''might'' be an homage to the ''Generation 2'' Constructicon toys.

*Scrapper and Mixmaster hit on a little red sports car. [[Side Burn (RID)|Sound familiar?]]

===Real-world references===
* The Constructicons often hit on cars (which could be the equivalent for them to female 'bots...[[Tracks|or something]]), just like real cartoon construction workers with passing women.
* The Constructicons beep as they back up.
* The whole plot seems to be pretty thoroughly cribbed from every after-school special on the dangers of peer pressure ever...except with giant robots, attempted murder, extortion, and a plot to overthrow one interstellar empire and reestablish another.
* While the "working-class" Constructicons drink their oil out of "[[Wikipedia:Pint glass|pint glasses]]" or straight out of the can/barrel, the "upper-class" Megatron prefers to twist his barrels into "[[Wikipedia:Goblet|goblets]]".

===Miscellaneous trivia===
* It was revealed at [[BotCon 2008]] that much of Scrapper and Mixmaster's dialogue was actually ad-libbed by their actors [[Tom Kenny]] and [[Jeff Glen Bennett]].
* This episode first aired in Dubai, around two weeks before its English-language broadcast premiere in Canada.
* It seems that in the Animated-verse, yellow eyes represent the neutral position. Good to know there is a Switzerland equivalent on Cybertron.
* The Constructicons first start off as Constructobots, a portmanteau of construction and Autobot, but later Megatron gives them a new name, formed from construction and Decepticon instead.
* Even assuming the Constructicons don't drink anything off-screen, they still consume what looks like half their weight in oil over the course of the episode. Where does it go?
* On second thought, [[Humanizing#Urination|don't think about it]].
* Bumblebee receives a [[stock footage|detailed transformation sequence]] for his stingers...which becomes extremely anticlimactic when his attacks just bounce off Lugnut seconds later. Likewise, Prowl commences his attack against Scrapper with a sequence showing him deploying his nunchaku, but he has better success with stock footage-less hand-to-hand combat.
:''Scrapper is a [[Decepticon]] from the [[Transformers Animated]] [[continuity family]].''
[[Image:Scrapperanimated.jpg|right|thumb|150px|He needs a hug.]]
'''Scrapper''' is one of the [[Constructicon (Animated)|Constructicons]]. Once, he and his pal [[Mixmaster (Animated)|Mix]] were just a pair of construction vehicles, but a pair of [[AllSpark (Animated)|AllSpark]] fragments changed all that. Though not the sharpest tool in the box, he does know construction like nobody's business. He doesn't want much out of life, just some oil to fill him up after a hard day's work and maybe a nice car to catcall. Like his compadre, he has an innate knack for grasping construction projects, and upon seeing a set of blueprints can get right to work.
{{spoiler|Rise of the Constructicons}}
[[image:RiseoftheConstructicons-Gen2HomageVehicleModes.jpg|thumb|left|250px|"'Ey, see the exhaust pipes on that li'l red convertible?"]]
Scrapper and his good buddy Mix were spontaneously brought to life by [[AllSpark (Animated)|AllSpark]] shards embedded in them. Though not quick on the uptake, the two Constructobots were able to name themselves and quickly hit the ground running...after attractive sports cars. When Scrapper noticed a construction accident about to harm [[Bulkhead (Animated)|Bulkhead]], he pulled over with his friend and intervened. Tidying up the construction site with a fair amount of skill, he befriended the large Autobot and pressured him into going off for an oil break...from a nearby oil tanker. After expressing his misgivings about stealing oil, Bulkhead took the two Constructobots to the old auto factory to meet the other Autobots. Scrapper and Mixmaster proved too rough around the edges even for [[Ratchet (Animated)|Ratchet's]] tastes, and their cavorting woke up [[Sari Sumdac]]. He and Mixmaster shared a laugh over the Autobots' "pet" while [[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus Prime]] asked Bulkhead why he was bringing "strangers" to their base (thus proving to be none too observant in the search for AllSpark fragments himself). Scrapper then went back to drinking oil and so flubbed a catch in a game of oil-barrel-lid frisbee. The disc severed Sari's pigtails, so Scrap found himself and Mixmaster kicked out the factory by Prime.

Dejected, Mixmaster and Scrapper happened upon [[Blitzwing (Animated)|Blitzwing]] and [[Lugnut]] stealing construction supplies...very ineffectively. Once again, they intervened just before someone could get hurt, saving Blitzwing from getting creamed by the load he was carrying. Scrapper then heard approaching police sirens, which Blitzwing told them was a quitting bell, meaning they could go home. Scrap and Mixmaster indicated they didn't have a home, so their two new buddies offered to let the Constructobots come home with them, saying the pair would be welcome to stay as long as they hauled the heavy trailers of supplies. As Scrapper obligingly pushed the supply containers uphill and out of earshot, he didn't hear Blitzwing ease Lugnut's concerns about [[Megatron (Animated)|Megatron]]'s disapproval by assuring that he'd take take the two new bots offline once the heavy lifting was done. After the load was hauled, Scrapper was all set for an oily reward, unaware Lugnut was about to use his signature punch upon him and Mixmaster, when Megatron intervened. Scrapper followed Megatron into the Decepticons' inner sanctum, where he noted that the Decepticons had a [[Isaac Sumdac|pet]] as well. Then Megatron had the "pet" show Scrapper the [[space bridge]] schematics. He and Mixmaster immediately knew exactly what supplies would be needed to complete the bridge, as well as where they could be obtained.

The next day, Scrapper and Mixmaster "acquired" (stole) a load of construction materials and were fleeing pursuit by [[Sumdac Systems]] police robots when they ran into Bulkhead again. Stopping the chase, Bulkhead asked them what they were doing, and the Constructobots, being trusting souls ''told'' him. Scrapper couldn't figure out why Bulky was so upset they were working for the Decepticons until Bulkhead said Megatron was trying to put one over on them. Mix and Scrapper weren't about to stand still for ''that'', and they sped off to settle the score. Their initial complaints didn't go over well, as the Decepticon leader proved far less gentle and jovial, slamming them up against the mountainside near the mine. When he and Mixmaster said ''why'' they were angry, though, Megatron turned on the sweet talk again, spinning a tale of Autobot oppression. This proved a bit high-concept for Scrapper, but then Megatron offered to explain it over a few barrels of oil. This proved far more Scrap and Mixmaster's speed, and soon they were guzzling away while Megatron once again pitched the space bridge project.

Showing up at the auto factory, Scrapper joined Mixmaster in revealing that they were indeed working for Megatron, since Megatron had better oil. Showing there were no hard feelings, they said they weren't about to hurt the Autobots, just come pick up the AllSpark fragments and be on their way. Optimus Prime objected, but Mixmaster called him a dipstick and knocked over the 98-ton-weakling. A fight broke out, and Scrapper tackled Prowl{{m-}}without much success. Scrapper picked himself up while Mixmaster ransomed [[Bumblebee (Animated)|Bumblebee]] for the fragments. However, once Bulkhead handed over the fragments, Scrapper had no trouble accepting Bulky's offer to have "one for the road." Of course, he didn't know Bulkhead had secretly slipped him and Mixmaster some tainted oil, contaminated by the expired fixative that Bulkhead had saved. As Scrapper and Mixmaster ran off, Mix began feeling a little queasy. Scrapper teased him about not being able to hold his oil, until he started feeling the effects too. The bad oil reacted explosively, knocking out him and Mixmaster so the Autobots could reclaim the fragments. The blast also scrambled their memories, so when Scrapper came to, he didn't know who the big, angry guy was or why he was ranting about someone named Megatron and flinging his wrecking ball at them. Confused and frightened, Scrapper decided to vamoose. {{storylink|Rise of the Constructicons}}

==Trivia==
*Scrapper got his name from the first thing he saw, a sign that said "SCRAP". His buddy Mix thought it was too short, so they both just settled on Scrapper instead.
*Scrapper's chin looks similar to a steam shovel's scoop, befitting a Constructicon.
*Scrapper's alternate mode hearkens back to [[Scavenger (G1)|another Constructicon]], while his transformation scheme (caterpillar treads into legs, loader into chest) is based on [[Bonecrusher (G1)|yet another]].
*Scrapper starts out in a more standard construction vehicle color scheme of yellow and gray, and only switches to the classic Constructicon green and purple after becoming a Decepticon.
*Like his good pal Mix, Scrapper's following the construction tradition of showing his buttcrack.
*In vehicle mode Scrapper speaks through his bucket.

'''Down but not out, Megatron discovers Tarantulas's secret tunnel network that leads to the Decepticon warship, the ''Nemesis''.

==Summary==
The [[Maximal]]s, secure for the first time since they moved into [[Mount St. Hilary]], begin searching for the [[Predacon (BW)|Predacon]]s, who have been vulnerable since [[Tigerhawk]] destroyed the [[Darksyde|Predacon base]]. [[Optimus Primal]] quotes a verse from the ''[[Covenant of Primus]]'', believing Tigerhawk's arrival to be divine prophecy.

Meanwhile, the Predacons are growing disaffected with Megatron. (Even [[Waspinator]] is mouthing off.) [[Inferno (BW)|Inferno]], ever loyal to his "queen", declares that a new "colony" will resecure them. Megatron orders him to take Waspinator and [[Quickstrike (BW)|Quickstrike]], while he, [[Rampage (BW)|Rampage]], and [[Dinobot 2]] search the remains of [[Tarantulas's lair]]. Dinobot finds a hatch which leads to an underwater tunnel, which in turn leads to something that greatly excites Megatron.

[[Silverbolt (Fuzor)|Silverbolt]] and [[Depth Charge]] spot Inferno, Waspinator, and Quickstrike leaving. Optimus orders them to fall back, but Depth Charge heads in. Optimus leaves with [[Blackarachnia (BW)|Blackarachnia]], [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]], and Tigerhawk to support them. As Primal arrives, Depth Charge finds the hatch—and a bomb. The explosion fails to kill any of the Maximals, but Silverbolt is damaged, and Blackarachnia and Cheetor escort his parts back to base.

At the protohumans' cave dwellings, Inferno declares that the caves will be their new "colony". He orders Quickstrike and Waspinator to engage, but Waspinator angrily refuses. Something has finally snapped in Waspy's central processor, and he declares that he is out of the Beast Wars. After a tirade against Megatron, the Predacons, life in general, and always being blown up, Waspinator tells them that they can kiss his stinger. Inferno and Quickstrike blast him, and proceed to attack the protohumans (who have become much tougher, having learned from the example of [[Dinobot (BW)|Dinobot]] and the Maximals).

In the tunnels, Primal, Tigerhawk, and Depth Charge continue searching. After locating a data terminal, Primal accesses it and discovers what Tarantulas found and Megatron desires—the ''Nemesis'', the flagship of the [[Decepticon fleet]] and the vessel which shot down the ''[[Ark (G1)|Ark]]''. Realizing the threat the Decepticon warship holds, Depth Charge heads out to locate it. Meanwhile, Megatron and Dinobot find that Tarantulas modified the vessel with a [[transwarp]] cell, installed a Predacon control console, and left behind a ''Covenant of Primus'' to boot. Megatron and Dinobot begin powering up the vessel for an attack.

Reaching the sunken behemoth, Depth Charge engages Rampage. The two enemies fight, and Depth Charge grabs an [[energon crystal]]. He drives it into Rampage's [[spark]], and the explosion destroys both Transformers and also causes Dinobot 2 to cry out in pain. Optimus, though mourning Depth Charge's loss, is relieved to know the threat of the ''Nemesis'' has been dealt with.

That is, until the ''Nemesis'' rises from the ocean, fully operational. [[Nemesis Part 2|To be continued...]]

==Notes==
===Technical/Animation glitches===
* When Dinobot squeezes the piece of Rampage's spark he possesses to pacify his "half-brother", his shoulder pads are missing. Also, the spark seems to float freely when it is released, in contrast to previous episodes where it was held in place by Dinbot's spark chamber.
* At the very beginning when Optimus is reciting, in the background you can see Cheetor, in his normal Transmetal body, walking with Blackarachnia.

===Continuity issue===
The ''Beast Wars'' retelling of the ''Ark''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s crash and the Nemesis differs from any previous version. In the original cartoon, the Decepticons used the Nemesis' tractor beam to lock into the Ark and it was the Autobot/Decepticon fight inside the Ark that caused it to crash {{storylink|More Than Meets the Eye, Part 1}} {{storylink|Microbots}}; in the [[Generation 1 (Marvel comic)|Marvel comics]], the Decepticons boarded the ship and Optimus ''deliberately'' crashed the Ark onto Earth {{storylink|The Transformers (comic issue)}}, with the Nemesis being left abandoned (the UK comics had [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]] destroy it {{storylink|Target: 2006}}).

As ''Beast Wars'' is intentionally not a direct continuation of any specific continuity, instead seeking to treat all previous ''Generation 1'' stories as if they were Arthurian legend, this would imply that those accounts are not canonical in this series. Alternatively, Optimus could just have the details wrong.

===Continuity errors===
* The flashbacks to the battle between the ''Ark'' and the ''Nemesis'' recounted by Optimus Primal and Megatron neglect to mention that the Decepticons boarded the ''Ark '' before the crash. This was probably done either to simplify the retelling, increase the significance of the ''Nemesis''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s involvement, or both.
* The bomb Megatron left behind as a trap for the Maximals has some very curious properties. It has enough power to severely damage Silverbolt and creates a powerful energy wave that is felt by the approaching Cheetor and Tigerhawk, who are miles away (even disintegrating a butterfly in the process). However, despite all of the above, Optimus and Depth Charge suffer absolutely no ill effects from the bomb, despite being at extremely close range and having very little time (or even room, given the terrain) to run for cover.
* How ''exactly'' did Megatron construct a bomb from scratch to begin with? With his base destroyed in the previous episode, it seems very unlikely that he would have the materials to create one on hand.

===Transformers references===
*Megatron refers to Tarantulas as [[Unicron]]'s spawn. While from the context this appears to have been a generic insult (equivalent to "bastard" or "son of a bitch"), convention-exclusive fiction like [[Primeval Dawn]] have depicted Tarantulas as a literal creation of Unicron.
*This is the first source to give the Decepticon vessel that attacked the ''Ark'' a name.
*Optimus Primal tells Depth Charge to stop Megatron "no matter the cost," which echoes Optimus Prime in [[The Transformers: The Movie|the Transformers movie]] during the [[Battle of Autobot City|Decepticon siege of Autobot City]] on Earth.

===Real-world references===
*Inferno calls Rampage a drone at least once in this episode. It is unknown whether the writers knew that a drone is a male ant whose main purpose is to mate with the queen, who in this case would be Megatron.
*When contacting the Maximals, Optimus encodes transmission "M Sipher", a reference to [[Greg Sepelak]].
*Silverbolt's remark "Tis but a scratch" followed by the dismemberment of his arm could be a reference to the immortal line of the Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Coincidently, the Black Knight is able to survive [[Waspinator| fatal mutilation]].

===Trivia===
* The death of Rampage is the only time in the series that a Maximal kills a Predacon (not for lack of trying).
* "Nemesis" was originally going to be a three-part episode, but was later compressed to two. {{fact}}

'''After she experiments with the Transmetal Driver, Blackarachnia's core consciousness begins to crash.'''

==Summary==
Some distance from [[Mount St. Hilary]], Blackarachnia is setting up some equipment that will convert her into a [[Transmetal 2]]. However, [[Silverbolt (Fuzor)|Silverbolt]] detects Blackarachnia's [[energy signature]], and, not understanding, pulls her from the machine. As Blackarachnia berates Silverbolt, she short ciruits. Heading to the [[Maximal]] base, Rhinox concludes that the [[shell program]] is starting to degrade, and will erase her [[core conciousness]] if not treated soon. He can remove the shell, but it's never been done before.

Wandering off to think, Blackarachnia is followed by Silverbolt. She maintains that she's still a [[Predacon (BW)|Predacon]], and that becoming a Maximal scares her. Silverbolt points out that she's only a Predacon due to [[Tarantulas]], and deep down, she is one of the good guys. The touching moment is ruined when Blackarachnia short circuits again.

In the lab, Blackarachnia has decided to go through with the procedure. Before she does, there is one last thing to do: transfer the access codes to the ''[[Ark (G1)|Ark]]'' to [[Optimus Primal]], thinking that he'd have the best chance to keep them from [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]]. They begin the shell removal, but it has safe guards that will destroy Blackarachnia's core conciousness. Rhinox is able to destroy the first one. At his [[Tarantulas's lair|lair]], Tarantulas discovers the removal process. He contacts Megatron, informing him of the situation. Megatron notes that such an act risks destroying [[Teletraan I|Teletron 1]]'s access codes, and conclude that she gave them to Primal. Tarantulas informs Megatron of his safeguards, but the Predacon leader decides to cause a little more trouble.

[[Inferno (BW)|Inferno]], [[Rampage (BW)|Rampage]], and [[Quickstrike (BW)|Quickstrike]] are sent under Tarantulas to attack the Maximals. Optimus leads [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]] and [[Rattrap]] in the defense of the base. Rhinox is almost finished, but two more power surges head for her core conciousness. Rhinox blasts one, but Tarantulas fires a rocket which causes Rhinox to miss the other surge, which hits Blackarachnia's core conciousness and extinguishes her [[spark]]. Rhinox leaves to inform Optimus and allow Silverbolt to be alone. Upon leaving, Silverbolt snarls out "Tarantulas..."

Detecting that his creation is dead, Tarantulas orders the Predacons to break off, as Rhinox tells the others. Gathering around Blackarachnia, they express their regrets over not giving her their full trust, if only for Silverbolt's sake. As Rattrap notices that the Fuzor is absent, Primal realizes what he's planning to do, and the Maximals head to stop him. Unseen, the Transmetal Driver begins to glow. Tracking down Tarantulas, Silverbolt easily defeats him, but Rampage defeats Silverbolt. Preparing to strike the killing blow, Rampage is stopped—by Blackarachnia, now a Transmetal 2. Blackarachnia quickly defeats Rampage, and takes Silverbolt back to base.

In the control room, Blackarachnia explains to the Maximals that she saw only [[Dark Awakening|darkness, then a light]], and thought Silverbolt was in danger. Primal points out that her actions weren't very Maximal, but Silverbolt express their gratitude at her return. Blackarachnia warns Silverbolt to stop rushing after her, but to show no hard feelings, [[kiss]]es him...sending a power surge through him and disorienting him.
*Glitch

===Continuity Errors===
*Not only in this episode, but apparently throughout season 3, Blackarachnia (non-Transmetal) appears to have battle damage (grey areas) which disappears when she's in the base. It also seems that the damage is inconsistent, but in the same areas. Did she get into a fight between getting checked into the base & talking with Silverbolt outside? Or does the bright light of the base conceal her damaged body?
*Megatron's "bath time [[Rubber Ducky|rubber duckie]]" is seen again in this episode, but it has undergone a slight makeover. It now has metallic rings around it and an antenna on its head, probably a reference to the Transformers' Transmetal changes.
:''Bumblebee is an [[Autobot]] from the [[Transformers Animated]] [[continuity family]].''
{{picsneeded|Toys}}
'''Bumblebee''' the youngest, yellowest, and most energetic of the Autobots...[[Bumblebee (G1)|as]] [[Bumblebee (Movie)|usual]]. A hyperactive wisecracker, Bumblebee is quite convinced he's the fastest{{m-}}and coolest{{m-}}thing on four wheels. He has a tendency to bite off more then he can chew, so it's a good thing he pals around with the massive [[Bulkhead (Animated)|Bulkhead]]. He does ''not'' take well to being called "short", and his over-eager ways can get on [[Ratchet (Animated)|Ratchet's]] nerves all too easily. Still, Bumblebee is good people, as evidenced by his fast friendship with [[Sari Sumdac]].

:''Voice actor:'' [[Bumper Robinson]] (English), [[Santiago Ziesmar]] (German)

[[Image:AniBee-SG.jpg|thumb|left|200px|[[Rattrap|We're all gonna die]], aren't we?]]
Bumblebee can save [[Sari Sumdac|a little girl]] from a rampaging slug creature and retain his cheerfulness and good humor while doing so. He also calls [[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus]] [[Optimus Primal|"Big Bot"]]... sounds [[Cheetor|familiar.]]

His hands can transform intro electronic welders, which he can use to shoot electric jolts. Also, he has a [[Bumblebee (G1)|strangely familiar]] [[faceplate]]—probably also for welding. Despite the fact that he maintains that he's a repair-bot and not programmed for combat, he's quite useful in battle.

Bumblebee is a member of Optimus Prime's repair crew, assigned to perform maintenance on malfunctioning [[space bridge]]s. He proved agile enough to help his stronger (but much larger) teammate, [[Bulkhead (Animated)|Bulkhead]], who had managed to lodge a wrecking ball in an asteroid. Even though he expressed significant fear of [[Megatron (Animated)|Megatron]], he still managed to crack wise at the [[Decepticon leader]]'s appearance once they were face-to-face. The humor vanished when Megs pulled out his sword. After Megatron was thrown off the ship, Bumblebee entered stasis with the rest of the crew just before [[Autobot ship (Animated)|the crew's ship]] crash-landed on [[Earth]].

Upon awakening the crew to alert them to the intrusion of a nanite-powered bug-slug, the ship's computer scanned vehicle modes to disguise them. Bumblebee got reformatted into [[Captain Fanzone]]'s car. Lucky him.

Upon noticing [[Sari Sumdac|"a little creature"]] struggling with her [[Sparkplug (Animated)|"owner"]], 'Bee and Mr. Bulk showed their unfamiliarity with organic life by assuming the owner/pet relationship was reversed. Their speculation was interrupted by the attacks of the giant, nanite-fueled bug monster, and Bumblebee intervened to get Sari out of the way. Later in the battle, Bumblebee was called on to deliver the override command to the beast's nanites, as he was the fastest and most nimble of the crew.

His defeat of the monster seriously impressed Sari, who decided to befriend him. Sari's definition of befriending included cajoling him into sneaking her aboard the Autobots' ship. Of course, Sari wouldn't stay still as Bumblebee asked, compelling him to jettison her into a ventilation shaft. After introducing her to the group, Sari and 'Bee became fast friends. When [[Starscream (Animated)|Starscream]] attacked Detroit, Bumblebee took a shot intended for Sari, allowing Screamer to capture Bumblebee, [[Isaac Sumdac]], [[Captain Fanzone]], and the Mayor. Sari, with Prowl's help, managed to rescue them. {{storylink|Transform and Roll Out!}}

At one point, Bumblebee took part in a match against [[Colossus Rhodes|Cyrus "Colossus" Rhodes]]. Unfortunately, Cyrus [[Wikipedia:Hulk (comics)|hulked up]], then proceeded to beat the [[slag (slang)|slag]] out of Bumblebee. The other Autobots were forced to rescue him, using it as a chance to riff on his small stature. However, only Bumblebee was able to get into [[Sumdac Tower]] when [[Prometheus Black|Meltdown]] went to kill Isaac Sumdac. Bumblebee managed to get him to the ground floor, but Meltdown arrived. Bulkhead tried to stop him, but Meltdown threw a glob of acid at Bulkhead, which Bumblebee took instead (basically, 'Bee is a human shield). Bulkhead offered his apologies over his comments, saying he was only having a little fun—which sent Bumblebee into declaring his good moves and speed. He's going to be pretty impossible to live with for a while. {{storylink|Total Meltdown}}

After showing a lack of ability to be subtle on Earth, Prime had Prowl try to teach Bumblebee how to blend in. This ruined some plans with Sari, as she wanted to attach some turbo-boosters to him to make him go even faster. During the exercise, they encountered [[Nanosec]], a crook that had gained Professor Sumdac's new speed suit via [[Megatron (Animated)|unknown patrons]]. Unable to keep up with Nanosec, Bumblebee was convinced by Sari attach the turbo-boosters against Prime's orders. Unfortunately, he couldn't control them in vehicle mode, allowing Nanosec to escape from the Autobots twice. Worse, he was carrying enough [[Destronium]] to destroy all of Detroit. Overhearing Bulkhead and Prowl's comments on his change of appearance, Bumblebee realized that the suit was causing him to age the more he used it, so he purposefully ran him into old age (cold, Bee). With the Destronium about to go critical, Bumblebee, with help from Prowl and Bulkhead, managed to use his turbo-boosters to head into the outer atmosphere and get the Destronium away from the city before detonating. The whole experience seems have given Bumblebee a bit more respect for subtlety. {{storylink|Nanosec (episode)|Nanosec}}

[[Image:Megatron rising 1 Starscream freakout.jpg|thumb|left|150px|"YOU INTERRUPTED MY SPEECH!"]]
When Decepticon activity was detected in high levels, Bulkhead spilled the beans on what he and Prowl did with the [[Dinobot (Animated)|Dinobot]]s, and Optimus Prime pretty much lost it. Ranting that all he had was a group of insubordinate malfunctions, he told Ratchet to take the key from Sari, saying it wasn't safe in her hands. As she ran off crying, Bumblebee defended her, and Prime pointed out that Bumblebee wasn't a good character witness. Bumblebee mouthed off that their situation meant that Prime wasn't fit to command, and then went looking for Sari. Heading to [[Sumdac Tower]], Bumblebee spotted [[Starscream (Animated)|Starscream]], and disobeyed Prime's order to hold off. Heading up the elevator (which could not only fit him, but also carry his weight) Bumblebee charged firing his stingers at Starscream. All it really did was interrupt his speech, which made Starscream ''seriously'' freak out. However, a crane pulled Starscream, who was holding Bumblebee, up to the roof, where the two fought it out...right until Megatron burst through the roof of the tower. {{storylink|Megatron Rising - Part 1}}

After Megatron's restoration, Starscream absentmindedly beat on Bumblebee for a while, then threw him aside when Megatron called the Decepticons to him. Once he'd been repaired with remaining key energy in Professor Sumdac's lab, Bumblebee called Prime on his previous statements, and Optimus apologized, saying he was out of line. When Ratchet brought the Autobots' ship to them, the Autobots and Sumdacs boarded the vessel in an attempt to lead Megatron and the Decepticons off-planet, but were shot down and crashed on [[Dinobot Island (Animated)|Dinobot Island]]. As the Autobots rallied to defend the AllSpark, Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Prowl took on [[Blitzwing (Animated)|Blitzwing]]. Ratchet and Bumblebee teamed up again to create an [[electromagnetic pulse]], causing him to crash. After shelling them in tank mode, Blitzwing again took to the air for some strafing runs. Prowl noticed a connection between Blitzwing's alternate modes and personalities, so they had Bumblebee use his greatest strength, his obnoxious personality, to cause Angry Blitzwing to emerge. Taunting the triple changer, Bumblebee got him to transform accidentally into tank mode and crash into the lake. {{storylink|Megatron Rising - Part 2}}
[[Image:Bumblebee anim toy.jpg|thumb|right|250px|Awwww, it's so adorable...]]
: Bumblebee transforms from a small yellow hatchback with a single red flasher to a scrappy robot with a smile on his face. Though he has fake car roof kibble on his chest, it apparently works that way in the cartoon's transformation sequences too. In robot mode, the two halves of his stinger weapon, stored in his forearms, can be flipped out and pegged together. In both robot and car mode, his two booster rockets can be attached on his back.
==Trivia==
[[Image:Bumblebeeanimatedkibble.jpg|right|thumb|150px|My real windshield is on my heels!]]
* Bumblebee's arm-mounted shock stingers are very likely inspired by an early weapon concept from the 2007 movie [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]].

* The character who would become Bumblebee was originally conceived as [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]], but changed to Bumblebee in anticipation of his breakout popularity in the live-action film.

*Bumblebee appears to have a fake car roof on his chest in both his toy and on his [[character model]]. Not only does Bumblebee transform like his toy in his drawn-out animated transformation sequences, with his legs forming the top of the vehicle and the rest forming the underside, but his "real" windshield is drawn on the back of his legs, just like the toy. Plus the headlights on Bumblebee's feet are upside-down, just like the toy's. However, Bumblebee's vehicle mode stripe doesn't change sides like on the toy. Cheatsy!

**In addition to the above, in The thrill of the hunt Bumblebee reaches under his '''fake''' car roof kibble to get out his air freshener and 'fuzzy cube thingies'. This would mean he keeps them in his back seat...?
'''Cheetor is behaving oddly after the accident, and a new Transmetal 2 creature is stalking both camps.'''

==Summary==

Primal checks on Cheetor, who is napping after he collapsed in front of the Maximals' current base, heavily damaged from the fight with the [[Predacons]]. After making sure Cheetor's okay, Primal has a discussion with Rattrap, mentioning that Cheetor has refused to use the CR Chamber.

Cheetor doesn't sleep soundly, though. From the cat's chest, a strange appendage grows, and Cheetor dreams of himself revealed to the other Maximals (except Optimus) torturing him into an ugly, mutated monstrosity. Cheetor awakens, glad his dream was unreal, but finds himself caught in a green light expanding out of his spark.

Rattrap, awakened by the noise, heads to the lower level to see what's wrong. Before reaching Cheetor's room, a large cat monster bursts out of Cheetor's room and knocks Rattrap over, before rushing away. Optimus comes to help Rattrap, who (incorrectly) assumes that the big ugly monster has gotten Cheetor.

In the Predacon base, Megatron hears the roar of the roaming beast and checks the radar. He figures out that Cheetor has been upgraded, explaining who his nemesis from the most recent battle was. Waspinator is sent to capture Cheetor.

Silverbolt returns to the Maximals' base, having failed to locate Cheetor (and jealous of Blackarachnia's concern for the feline). Primal puts together what we already know, and forces an account of the previous episode out of Depth Charge.

Awakening in a cave, Cheetor finds back in his Transmetal (one) form again with only vague memories. Later, Dinobot II and Waspinator find the cave, and after shredding Waspinator into shred, Dinobot proceeds to hunt the mutant. But inside the cave, he finds Cheetor has already left.

Again, Cheetor shows up outside the Maximal base. He tries to explain that he's taken care of "the monster" (that the other Maximals yet are totally sure is actually Cheetor.) Optimus, being less gullible than Cheetor is clever and says go to find the creature's remains. Away from the other Maximals, Primal and Cheetor talk, but before Cheetor can admit the truth, Primal's chest is fried by Dinobot II.

The emotional stress of the concern for Cheetor tears the cat back into his Transmetal II form. He easily blasts away Waspinator away. The two Transmetal II's duel with each other, slashing each other in their Beast Modes. When Rattrap and Silverbolt arrive, Dinobot is smart enough to retreat.

Optimus reaches into the feral Cheetor, awakening his intelligent persona. Back at the Maximal base, Cheetor tries to keep his cool while he flirts with Blackarachnia. Cheetor misinterprets the affection from Blackarachnia as something personal, when really she's more interested in his technology - and how she can [[Crossing the Rubicon|get some of it for herself]].

==Quotes==
"I think it's time to shred some Pred."
==Notes==
*The contents of Cheetor's room:
** A photo of himself and Primal from the first season.
** A big trophy.
** A model of the solar system.
** What could possibly be a model of a [[Cybertronian]] city.
** A photo of Blackarachnia.
** A potted plant.
** A miniature model of the ''Axalon''.
** A clock with a kind of holographic display to indicate the stages of Solar cycle

*Megatron's observation that Cheetor is moving at Mach 2 is likely an exaggeration.
*Waspinator was able to find Cheetor, while Silverbolt didn't. So, Waspinator is a better tracker than Silverbolt? Most likely, Megatron's scan of Cheetor's "moonlight stroll" narrowed the search zone, whereas the Maximals had no information about his trajectory.
*Cheetor having trouble controlling his beast mode is similar to the plot of "[[Call of the Wild]]".
