:Sixshot is a Decepticon six-changer in the Generation 1 continuity family.

Sixshot is murderous and ferociously intense in his dedication to his mission. Just about the only redeeming quality found in Sixshot, from an Autobot point-of-view, is his respect for those he's destroyed and sent before him to the "Great junkyard in the sky." Sixshot feels life is only worth living as long as there are enemies to pit himself against. Thankfully, his six forms and his function as a one robot S.T.A.G. (Solo Transformer Assault Group) give him plenty of opportunities for combat.

Italian Name: Iperbot/Hyperbot <br>
Fiction
Animated continuity
"The Rebirth" (USA)
:Voice actor: Neil Ross (US), Eiji Yanagisawa (Japan)

Sixshot didn't do very much in The Rebirth except transform six times at Galvatron's command. He used all 6 of his modes to effortlessly take-down each individual member of the Aerialbots.

Unlike in the Japanese fiction, when Sixshot transforms to his laser pistol mode, he shrinks down to a size small-enough for Cyclonus to fire him.

Headmasters (Japan)
:Voice actor: Michihiro Ikemizu (Japan)

Sixshot debuted with the function of "Decepticon City Ninja Commander". In this respect, he was something of an arch-enemy to Ultra Magnus. Sixshot was immensely powerful and soon usurped Cyclonus and Scourge as Galvatron's bestest fwend. Sixshot had a long, bloody history of being a scoundrel and a killer. Millions of years prior to his becoming Decepticon City Commander, Sixshot traveled to the planet Master and tried to rip-off a mining operation. One of the miners, Abel, stood up to him and Sixshot brutally murdered him. Abel happened to be a good friend of Chromedome's, however, this was before he underwent the Headmaster process and was too weak to stop Sixshot.

Sixshot would continue to plague Chromedome, as he later killed Chromedome's buddy, Jackal, and even went so far as to gun-down Ultra Magnus with his secret seventh-mode, Wingwolf.

Sixshot was never well-liked by Scorponok, and once Galvatron was out of the picture, Scorponok did his best to do away with Sixshot. After being deserted by Scorponok and the other Decepticons, Sixshot found himself stranded on a strange planet with Daniel. Sixshot revealed a softer side to Daniel and helped protect the young boy from the killer monsters inhabiting the planet.

Sixshot later left the Decepticons and helped take them down in the final battle on Earth. He said his goodbyes to Daniel, however, he did not immediately leave Earth like all the other Transformers.

Headmasters manga (Japan)
After the defeat of Mega Zarak, when all the other Decepticons were driven from the planet, Sixshot chose to blaze a new path in his life. Sixshot's next goal was to travel the galaxy and become the greatest warrior in the Universe, learning new transformations from various creatures. His first task was to stay on Earth and learn how to transform into a human being.

Marvel Comics continuity
Sixshot was one of the Decepticons who followed Scorponok to Nebulos. He acted as an air transport to an unnamed Decepticon. Upon greeting Lord Zarak's faction of Nebulans, he noted, "Strange creatures await us." He was never seen again.

After Shockwave successfully created the Triple Changers, he sought to create an even more impressive warrior who could transform into an unprecedented six modes. However, Shockwave's short rule was ended by Megatron before his project could be unveiled, but a mysterious figure was seen examining the remains of Blitzwing...

(Note: Dreamwave Productions went out of business before Sixshot could be properly revealed. Earlier in the series, Octane is shown piloting a land vehicle that is clearly Sixshot's "car" mode, which is later jacked by the Dinobots. This vehicle never transforms or shows any signs of sentience, so whether or not it is actually Sixshot is debatable. James McDonough later noted in an interview that it was not some random easter egg, and that its inclusion was deliberate foreshadowing of the future of Shockwave's experiments in multiple transformations.)

IDW comics continuity
Sixshot was one of the most feared Decepticons in the galaxy, as well as one of the most powerful. His lethal, emotionless-nature ended up ostracizing him from his fellow Decepticons, and though he wasn't the most social warrior, he did miss the comradery of battle. The closest thing he had to "friends" were the Terrorcons, a troop of Decepticon warriors who envied Sixshot's power and reputation and aspired to one day be as great as he.

While on a mission to the strategically-significant planet Mumu-Obscura, the Terrorcons went missing. After getting the info from Squawkbox, Sixshot set out to rescue his "friends". After arriving, he found Mumu-Obscura to be a dead world, completely razed by a group known as the Reapers. The Reapers, lead by Deathbringer, offered the lives of the Terrorcons to Sixshot, could the Decepticon defeat them in battle. Sixshot fought valiantly, though the Reapers proved to just be toying with him.

Eventually, Deathbringer called off the battle and handed over the Terrorcons. The entire fight had been a test and the Reapers were willing to extend membership to Sixshot. The final test for joining, however, would be that Sixshot must sever all sentimental connections to his past and eliminate the Terrorcons. Sixshot could not bring himself to do the deed, though a part of him truly craved to be a Reaper. Deathbringer allowed him to leave with the Terrorcons and declared that they would cross paths again, and hopefully then, Sixshot would be ready.
: Japanese ID number: D-98
:Sixshot transforms into a robot, a tank, a spaceship, a gun, an off-road vehicle, and a winged wolf. A seventh mode was created for the Headmasters animated series named "Wingwolf," into which the toy can be configured. It essentially combines various abilities from his different alternate modes into one form, including his wolf-mode fangs, his jet-mode flight, his gun-mode blasters and his tank-mode treads.

:The toy came with instructions that were sealed by a sticker, challenging the owner to figure out all the toy's modes without help. It really wasn't that hard, honestly - although the instructions (and packaging photos) actually managed to get the car mode wrong, neglecting to mention the additional rotation of the arms necessary to complete it. There are also a pair of extra holes inside Sixshot's legs into which his hypersonic concussion blasters can fit - presumably, this was the intended location for the weapons in gun mode, but the instructions and photos place them on the outside of the legs, in the same position as tank mode, which in turn was how the gun mode appeared in both the American and Japanese animated series.

: This mold was retooled to make Great Shot.

Merchandise
:Sixshot was in Act 3 of Takara's Super Collection Figure (SCF) line of PVC figurines. Like all pieces in this set, he was available both in full-color and all-clear versions.

Fiction
Marvel Comics continuity
When Fortress Maximus was super-sized during the trip from Nebulos to Earth, Cerebros, basically an oversophisticated drone, as per the characters' packaging bio, was built to serve as an intermediate robot form between Galen and Fort Max... not much else to say, really.

Generation 1 cartoon
:Voice actor: ? (US), ? (Japan)
In the animated series, Cerebros was a sentient Autobot, who was concerned about humanity's growing involvement in the Transformers' conflict. He found himself stranded on Nebulos alongside several others when Scourge unwittingly unleashed the power of the Plasma Energy Chamber. He refused to become a Headmaster or Targetmaster however, reiterating his belief that human(oid)s shouldn't endanger themselves by fighting alongside Autobots. He wandered off and got his rear handed to him by the drones guarding the abandoned Hive city, and came crawling back (literally) to the other Autobots. When Optimus Prime arrived to pick up the Autobots on Nebulos and drive them to soccer practice... err, I mean, fly them back to Cybertron to help stop Galvatron and his all-out invasion of the planet, Cerebros decided to stay behind with Spike Witwicky, and help rebuild the Hive city he discovered to become Fortress Maximus. They later arrived on Cybertron just in time to battle their Decepticon counterpart, Scorponok. Cerebros afterwards asked Spike to deactivate him, not wishing to witness any more warfare. Spike showed him that Cybertron had been restored to a new Golden Age, and Cerebros broke out of his suicidal-pacifist funk. He was later assigned, along with the other binary-bonded Autobots, to protect Nebulos. Cerebros said that Optimus had made him the happiest girl alive... well, something to that effect anyway.
In 1984, Spike was a 14-year-old adolescent working with his father Sparkplug on an oil rig when the Decepticons attacked. After the Autobots rescued them, they volunteered to become their native guides to planet Earth.

Spike had many adventures with the Autobots, taking part in just about everything they did on Earth for at least the next few years. He became especially close friends with the little Autobot Bumblebee. In the course of these adventures he met Carly, an impetuous prodigy and MIT graduate. Despite being (much) smarter, older (she could drive), and hotter than him, Carly displayed a noticeable affection for the somewhat-dim Spike. They mated and produced offspring.

As an adult in the distant year 2005, Spike was stationed with Bumblebee on one of the Autobot's secret moonbases. He had a bit of a potty-mouth about being eaten by the monster-planet Unicron but was saved from its belly by his afforementioned offspring. Later, when the Autobots had regained control of the planet, he became Earth's ambassador or something. Marooned on the distant planet Nebulos he became a Headmaster partner to Cerebros and single handedly rebuilt an ancient city into a giant transformer.

He polished up good.
Generation 1
(Note: Events from the UK-only comic stories are in italics.)

Spike Witwicky was away at college for the first few years of the Autobot/Decepticon war on Earth until he returned home to find his younger brother Buster kidnapped by the Decepticons. Spike soon became the binary-bond partner to the Headmaster Fortress Maximus, after Fortress Maximus' first partner, Galen, was killed in a battle with the Deception Scorponok.

Thereafter he struggled with balancing his responsibillities to his family with those to the Autobots. Once Buster was rescued, and with Optimus Prime returned to life to take his place as Autobot leader, Spike went into retirement, mothballing poor Max. This retirement wouldn't last however as it was interupted, first by a pair of Deceptioon Pretenders, then by the crash of the Ark and a raving Galvatron. Through the course of these conflicts Spike learned that the binary bonding he had undergone with Maximus was far deeper and more permanent than he'd believed. Fortress Maximus was always there with him in his head, always a part of him. After his battle with Galvatron he seemed to have made peace with his connection to Fortress Maximus and his role as (perhaps) the last Autobot protector of Earth.

In an alternate timeline in the year 2009, Decepticons had built a machine to destroy Earth while a space-time anomaly was eating entire planets. After Rodimus Prime orchestrated a plan to travel twenty years back in time to the source of the anomaly, Spike Witwicky and his son Daniel accused Rodimus of shirking his responsibilities towards Earth and guilted Rodimus into allotting more troops to help destroy the Decepticons' machine.

In another alternate timeline in the year 2009, Spike Witwicky was part of a very small Autobot/human resistance movement in a world where Galvatron II's Decepticons controlled North America. The handful of Autobots who remained alive despaired and were on the cusp of giving up, but Spike and Lisa (who shared growing feelings for each other) guilted them into one last suicidal attack on Decepticon headquarters in New York before the rest of the world could unleash a nuclear holocaust onto America at midnight. Though there were several casualties, Spike managed to hoist an American flag on the Decepticon stronghold on live television, a symbolic measure which prompted the end of the planned nuclear strike. Before Galvatron II could respond, the Decepticon despot was abducted by Hook, Line, and Sinker into another timeline.

Generation 2
Spike followed up on the now Megatron-controlled Ark, which he'd apparently stuffed Fortress Maximus aboard and then abandoned after his battle with Galvatron (great job protecting Earth there, "Last Autobot").

He reunited with Max and together they... um sort of stopped Megatron (well, delayed him a little... maybe) by throwing themselves into the ship's antimatter core.

He blowed up real good.

Dreamwave comics continuity
It's to be assumed that Spike and his father, Sparkplug, met the Autobots early on in their time on Earth (in a similar fashion as Spike and Sparkplug did in the cartoon, or Buster and Sparkplug did in the Marvel Comics). Spike definitely had a younger brother named Buster (like in the Marvel comics), yet it was Spike who formed a close friendship with Bumblebee (like in the cartoon, rather than missing out on the first few years of the Witwicky family's interaction with the Transformers while engaging in drinking orgies at college, like he did in the Marvel comics).
Somewhere in the time after 1984, Spike married Carly, who then gave birth to Spike's son, Daniel. After the explosion of the Ark II in 1999, which caused the death of Spike's father Sparkplug, Spike tried to leave his involvement with the Transformers behind and settled down with his wife and son in Cleveland, Ohio, trying to live a new life as a normal family. The newfound peace wouldn't last for long, though, as Spike was soon recruited by a shady military official named General Hallo seeking his help in reviving Optimus Prime, whose body his men had recently found in the Arctic. Spike, who had been entrusted by Prime with a fragment of the Matrix, used that fragment to bring Prime back to life.

Prime subsequently used the Matrix to revive and assemble a group of his Autobots, which he would then lead against Megatron's Decepticons. Meanwhile, Spike was imprisoned by General Hallo, who had double motives behind reviving the Autobots and even tried to kill them by bombing them. With the help of Larry, the World's Most Resourceful Janitor, Spike was able to escape his cell and uncover Hallo's sinister schemes, but not in time to stop him from launching a nuclear strike against the Autobots which was ultimately averted when Superion sacrificed his life in order to make it detonate before it could reach its target.

Following these events, Spike once again returned to his family and tried to leave his past with the Transformers behind. A few months later, though, his old friend Bumblebee, who had just decided to quit the Autobot army following a fierce battle against Sunstorm, showed up by his house. Spike, frustrated that the Autobots refused to leave him alone, hurled a few nasty insults against his old buddy before changing his mind and joining him on a men's night out in the city. The follow-up scene of Carly shouting at Spike singing drinking songs with Bumblebee was never published due to the untimely faltering of Dreamwave.

The exact details of the Witwicky's early years as the Autobots' human associates are therefore not known.

Somewhere in the time after 1984, Spike married Carly, who then gave birth to Spike's son, Daniel.
